we were a family of 5. The location was perfect for us. Quiet but also not far from everything. Amazing views! The house is charming. It was also nice to have the pool as it got hot.

Nous avons été très gentiment accueillis par Paula et Anselmo, avec un petit verre de porto et des pastei de nata. Le logement est agréable, propre et correctement équipé. La voiture a sa place dans le jardin . On est très proche de tous , magasins (on peut accéder à pied a un grand centre commercial avec plein de boutiques et restos). Les plages sont proches aussi. Location recommandée sans problème☺️

Wir hatten eine wirklich tolle Zeit. Das Haus ist genau wie auf den Fotos und bietet alles was man Brauch. Die offene Küche und der kleine Pool mit den Hängematten im Hof waren das absolute Highlight. Wenn ich mir ein kleines Ferienhaus bauen würde, dann würde es genau so aussehen. 🫶🏼 François war ein toller Gastgeber, der uns sogar mit Wein und leckerem Käse begrüßt hat. Wir kommen gerne immer wieder.

Superbe villa avec piscine. Tout était impeccable

Wir haben mit 2 Familien eine Woche in Daniel's Haus verbracht und hatten eine tolle Zeit. Das Haus und Grundstück sind nicht nur groß, sondern auch schon eingerichtet bzw. angelegt. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet und mit beheiztem Pool, neuem Kicker, Yogamatten, der Tischtennisplatte und dem Grill gibt es auch ohne Ausflüge viel zu tun. Aber angesichts der schönen, ruhigen Natur (ab und zu nerven das Hundegebell etwas) in unmittelbarer Umgebung und den vielseitigen Strände (im Westen mit Wellen, bei Sesimbra ruhig karibisch, allerdings kalt:-)) wäre es schade, auf Ausflüge zu verzichten. Man braucht allerdings einen Mietwagen und Einkaufsgelegenheiten sind etwas weiter weg (bis den den kleinen Shop im Ort, der Essentials anbietet). Wir würden das Haus definitiv nochmal buchen.

We were 4 adults staying at Anna's place in Sintra. We were in Sintra for a wedding, and Anna's place was a perfect home base for us. The beds were very comfortable, and the entire place was nicely appointed. The only problem we had is that there is another street in Sintra with the same street name, about 15 minutes away, and twice our Uber/Taxi took us to the wrong place. Overall, our stay in Sintra was great, and we would stay again of we were to return to Sintra.

My family and I loved staying at this home in Sintra. It worked well for a family who all wanted a bit of their own space. The rooms and bathrooms were spacious and the kitchen was perfect for what we needed. A short car drive from town. Saving this home for future trips!

We had a wonderful stay! Just a short summary of pros and cons: + Antonio and Maria were great hosts - communication and help was excellent when needed. They brought fresh bread every morning which means less driving to the next town as a guest - fantastic! The house has an amazing view. which is almost unbeatable. The neighborhood is calm with no hotels/noise. - Compared to the fotos it was a bit smaller and older/with signs of normal use than we expected, but of course its sometimes difficult to tell by pictures. Since its southern Europe, be prepared for some insects (has nothing to do with the accommodation but might be helpful to know) - but Antonio and Maria had us prepared with some mosquito repellents and insecticide sprays. The lower bathroom has a strange smell when the drain hasn't been used regulary - but Antonio offered help immediately after we wold him and eventually it improved . All in all a great stay just with some small hints you should know - thank you again!

We consider this house to be on another level when it comes to the traditional Airbnb. You are essentially living in a private part of a palatial mountainside with amazing views of the forest , coastline and sunsets. The house is an ancient hermitage that is supremely well kept and the owners’ sophistication shines through. The gardens and terraces are absolutely beautiful and a joy to walk around with ponds, fountains and lovely forest pathways. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you need to make delicious meals. Beds are very comfortable and Mariana, the housekeeper, keeps the house spotless and the grounds are very well kept by the gardener. Cristina who owns the property is the most generous host who greeted us with a delicious homemade quiche and other provisions so we did not have to go shopping upon our arrival which was fantastic after a long journey. When visiting Sinatra, this home is such a privilege and will only enhance your stay!

Martim’s cabana overlooking Portinho da Arrábida is truly something special! Nestled in a private garden filled with flowers, fruit trees, and so many butterflies, the cabana has breathtaking views of both the mountains and the sea. It feels like your own little sanctuary in nature. And if you feel like a swim, the beach is just a short walk below. The house itself is spotless and beautifully decorated with a mix of cozy country cottage charm and nautical touches. I especially loved how you can open all the windows and enjoy seamless indoor-outdoor living. There is so much light and fresh air throughout! I appreciated that the layout gives everyone a bit of privacy, and the beds and linens were incredibly comfortable. Martim and his brothers were so warm, responsive, and helpful. They really made us feel at home. Thank you for such a relaxing and special birthday trip!

This is a lovely old historic house in beautiful Sintra with a wonderful garden. It is very comfortable and has fabulous views. The location however, is not for anybody who has any walking disabilities as it is very steep to get anywhere. Because the house contains marvellous historic furniture and collections, there is a lot of locking up to do. Windows, doors, security doors, shutters and gates all need to be locked before you go anywhere. I went for a short walk for half an hour as I was ill and couldn’t join my friends and I received a text that I hadn’t closed the shutters. The windows were locked as was the door and the security door and the gates which are bounded by a high fence.

Die Unterkunft liegt mitten im malerischen Penedo, hoch oben mit Ausblick bis zum Meer. Jedes Zimmer ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltet. Der traditionelle Stil macht das kleine Häuschen sehr gemütlich und wenn man durch die Gassen von Penedo zieht entdeckt man überall schöne Gärten und wundervolle Häuser.

We loved our stay at Madalena's place. The location is fantastic ... very close to everything Sintra has to offer, yet very quiet and peaceful. Had plenty of room and great views ... even had a place to park !

Nous avons séjourné 5 jours chez Miguel, nous avons eu un problème avec notre voiture et nous sommes donc arrivés une journée plus tard. Miguel nous a proposé de rester une journée supplémentaire pour ne pas perdre notre journée . Il a été très bienveillant envers nous, très disponible et accueillant. Très bon hôte. Miguel nous a offert une belle bouteille de vin, le petit + qui nous fait très plaisir ☺️ Si je retourne à Sintra, je retournerai sans aucun doute chez Miguel. Je recommande.

We loved our stay at Figueiredo’s place. Perfect for us as a couple, with a private pool and deck to relax on in the evening. Quiet location within easy reach of Cascais, via Uber or a short walk, with its great food options. Communication was easy and everything was as described. Would highly recommend this place is you are looking for somewhere quiet near Cascais.

We hebben een geweldige tijd gehad in het huis van Dinis. Zeer prettig ontvangst en uistekende communciatie. De ligging van het huis is erg bijzonder met fantastisch uitzicht. We zijn 4 nachten verbleven en hebben genoten van alles wat de omgeving te bieden heeft. We hebben fantastische hikes gemaakt vanuit het huis naar Cabo de Roca. Wel een uitdagende hike met vele hoogtemeters met mooie uitzichten en stranden, zoals Praia da Ursa. Ook een hike naar het noorden naar het strand Paria do Gribeto. Ook een fantastisch strand waar je je even alleen op de wereld voelt. De afdaling naar het strand is wel écht een uitdaging. Heerlijk gegeten bij het restaurant Azenhas do Mar - Piscinas op nog geen 400 meter van het huis. Daarnaast lekkere verse vis gehaald bij de lokale markt en die heerlijk gegrild op de BBQ. Kortom, we hebben mega genoten van de rust, ruimte en alle uitzichten.

Amazing place, the view is so incredible, we spent a really great time at the villa, it is peaceful, beautiful and private! If I come back to Portugal I would definitely want to come back! Thank you again for everything!

Beautiful villa with multiple guest suites. Comfortable beds and a spacious bathroom. The pool area is definitely worth spending time in and enjoying the views of the valley and the palaces on the hills.

Having Pedro meet us at the house and show us around and give us a list of recommendations was invaluable. The house is well appointed with beautiful gardens and a lovely outdoor area. It was a great central location for all of the things on our to do list. A stay at Ana and Pedro’s home will not disappoint.

The house was like heaven on earth! From the serene surroundings, to the accessible peaceful beach and beautiful interior. Wish I could have stayed longer to be honest! Isabel was a great and responsive host! Will be recommending this stay to all our friends.

This place was stunning. We had a great stay! There were six of us and more than enough room. The host was fantastic and super easy to get in touch with. I would definitely stay here again.
