House holiday rentals in São Jorge

No words can describe our experience at this amazing vila. It was absolutely amazing: the house itself is very well located, the views are stunning. Marcos and Diana were very helpful in everything we needed. Pico island is an amazing place on earth and to get to know the island like we did was only possible with this 5 star accommodation. We chilled, we had swims in the infinity pool, had great barbecues…I will be back for sure. Thanks to all the staff and especially to Marcos for all the hospitality and kindness.

He's probably the best host that I ever had the pleasure of working with. He is so nice and sincere. I arrived with a laundry list of travel issue none related to his air bnb or really his concern. He even helped me after I checkee out. Seriously nicest man ever. The place is clean and great parking. It's small but perfect for when exploring the island. Do yourself a favor and book it now.

Die zehn Tage in Miguels Haus waren hervorragend. Das Haus ist traumhaft gelegen, geschmackvoll eingerichtet, praktisch und ruhig. Die Aussicht ist einmalig. Jeden Morgen mit dem Kaffee draussen sitzen und auf das Meer hinausschauen war sehr erholsam. Das Haus ist perfekt gelegen, um Ausflüge zu unternehmen. Rundherum ist alles grün, wunderschön! Der Pool ist sauber und angenehm, vor allem die Steine rundherum heizen schön auf und man kann super entspannen. Miguel war sehr hilfreich, als ich ein Problem mit dem TV hatte. In 5 Minuten war es gelöst. Perfekter Urlaub, ich komme sehr gerne wieder!

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit bei Jörg und Plonja! Der Empfang war herzlich, die Kommunikation super unkompliziert. Alles war außergewöhnlich sauber – so gepflegt haben wir keine andere Unterkunft auf den Azoren erlebt. Die Betten sind sehr bequem, Bäder und Küche top, der Außenbereich mit Pool, Sauna und Meerblick ein Traum. Trotz Nähe der Gastgeber hat man volle Privatsphäre. Wir haben das Haus und den grossen Garten inklusiv Outdoor-Küche und Pool sehr genossen. Die ruhige Lage und die sehr gute Ausstattung der Küche haben wir sehr geschätzt. Alles war wie beschrieben und die Kommunikation hat gut geklappt. Alles bestens, vielen Dank!

We had a wonderful stay in Nico’s house. The view cannot be beat! The house was spacious and very comfortable for our family of 5. Nico was extremely friendly and helpful with recommendations of local restaurants and activities. He also personally met us at the ferry terminal to help us get settled on Pico as well as showing us where the grocery store and bakery was. House was quiet and all the amenities including some Pico treats to greet us. Highly recommend!

Il est évident qu'il s'agit d'une construction faite pour la location. Tout est pour le "look" et le fonctionnel est manquant à plusieurs endroits. Exemple: il n'y a aucun crochet pour suspendre le linge ou les serviettes dans les salles de bains. Vous devez donc déposer votre linge par terre pour prendre une douche. Il en va de même pour la disposition des objets dans les pièces et la cuisine. Ceci dit l'endroit est bucolique, calme et reposant. Les paysages sont sublimes. Le tout est beaucoup plus intéressant qu'une chambre d'hôtel et convient très bien à une famille malgré ses petits défauts. L'hôte a été d'une grande disponibilité pour répondre à nos questions.

Wunderbare Unterkunft in der Natur. Die Ruhe ein Genuss. Einzigartiger Ausblick.

Diese Unterkunft war das Highlight unseres Aufenthalts auf den Azoren. die Lage und die Ausblicke sind fantastisch. Wäre im der airbnb-Skala nicht bei maximal 5 Punkten Schluss, hätte ich zehn vergeben. Einrichtung und Architektur wirken in der Realität noch schöner als es auf den Fotos rüber kommt. Wir werden sicherlich wieder kommen.

I’ve had three fantastic nights at Adega do Garajau. The house is very rustic, cosy and well equipped for a comfortable stay. The place is super clean and well taken care of. The location is spectacular just by the ocean with uninterrupted views of the water and across the water views of Sao Jorge island. All in all I am super happy choosing this lovely and charming adega and would gladly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, beautiful and convenient base to explore the island of Pico!

Lovely position overlooking Sao Roque, but a 20 minute walk uphill from the ferry so if that’s a problem recommend a taxi! Noelie was very helpful and quick to respond. The cottage is very well equipped and homely. Everything worked very well and we especially appreciated the gifts she left for us, as well as the Pastelaria just along the road.

A great spot among the vineyards that is five minutes drive to Madalena and ten minutes to the Pico airport. Good A/C in the rooms. Nice sized kitchen. Comfortable beds. And a nice covered patio for being outside. Thank you!

Alles war perfekt, die Unterkunft ist schön eingerichtet, der Ausblick ist der Wahnsinn! Teilweise saßen wir mit dem vorhandenen Fernglas nur draußen und konnten Delfine beobachten! Die Natur-Pools sind auch auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert.

Unterkunft wie beschrieben. Gut eingerichtet. Bequeme Betten. Ruhige Lage mit schöner Aussicht. Ein Problem mit dem Backofen wurde umgehend behoben. Für Restaurantbesuche braucht es einen Mietwagenwagen oder ein Taxi (wir können Herrn & Frau Alemaõ empfehlen, deren Visitenkarte liegt in der Unterkunft bereit).

Amazing location in a nicely appointed cottage with everything you need.

We loved our stay!!! We wish we could have stayed so much longer. It was a super easy walk to the water and the AMAZING piscina natural Simao Dias. They left us a lovely care package and were so helpful and responsive to everything. The view was incredible and the location was absolutely fantastic. One of the best places we’ve ever stayed.

The house is charming and the views are beautiful. We cooked and ate in, and the kitchen was great: plenty of dishes, pots, utensils, etc. Sharing one bathroom might be hard if you have full capacity, but we had no trouble with four adults. We messed up our reservation slightly and the host was so helpful and took care of us. Highly recommend!

Die Unterkunft ist wirklich traumhaft schön und man hat sich direkt wie zuhause gefühlt. 😍 Man ist direkt am Meer. Ohne Mietwagen ist diese Unterkunft jedoch nicht zu empfehlen, da diese knapp 25 Minuten Autofahrt von Madalena und somit von Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants entfernt ist. Wer jedoch wie wir, die Ruhe liebt, ist genau richtig. Nachts ist die Ruhe jedoch weniger, da azoreanische Enten auf Nestsuche einen wach halten. 😅 Alles in allem dennoch empfehlenswert. 🙃

Fijn en warm ingericht appartement waar je je gelijk thuis voelt met prachtig uitzicht over de oceaan! Alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig. Locatie is prima om het eiland te verkennen. Marianna is een zeer plezierige en behulpzame vrouw met goede tips. Aanrader!

Super schöne Unterkunft! Praktisch, modern und schön eingerichtet. Gepflegt und sehr sauber. Ruhige Lage, Privatsphäre. Parkplatz direkt vor der Unterkunft. Ausgestattet mit allem was man braucht, es fehlte uns an nichts. Sehr bemühte und nette Gastgeber - hilfsbereit, schnell erreichbar, proaktiv und sehr gastfreundlich. Wir würden die Unterkunft mit schöner Aussicht und Terrasse sehr weiterempfehlen und auch sofort wieder buchen. Top!

Carla’s place is a gem. She is a delightful host who communicates really well and in a timely fashion. The exterior of the place (side balcony with table and hammock as well as the multi-tiered garden full of seating, flowers and fruit trees) was peaceful and ideal. The washing machine worked very well and clothes hung to dry did so very quickly in this warm micro climate along the coast. Road was quiet, and kitchen well equipped. Main bed was firm, other one seemed softer. Very clean and spotless with great linens and towels.

Gina was a lovely host. She was extremely communicative and responded quickly to texts. She was also very understanding when a chair was broken, and was more concerned that I didn’t get hurt than that the chair was broken! The goodies left for us were welcome, and it was nice to have the option, in addition, to buy some drinks in the mini fridge. Gina’s place was spotless and easy to find as the photos helped (Google maps has it further down the hill but keep driving up and you can’t miss it!). The bed was comfy, the view amazing, and the kitchen stocked with basic items. The local Continente was very well stocked for food and other items. Easy to pick up everything you need. Thank you Gina! We loved all the little whale items you had in your cottage, especially as we have learned about the importance of the whaling industry in the past to Azores.
