Das echte Santorini erlebt man nicht in den überfüllten Touristenmagneten Fira und Oia, sondern in den ursprünglichen Dörfern, die tief im Inneren der Insel versteckt liegen. Eines dieser charakteristischen Dörfer ist Vothonas, wo das Haus zentral gelegen ist und einen unlimitierten Rundumblick bietet. Hier finden Reisende ein ruhigeres, authentisches Santorini, fernab vom Trubel, in einer Umgebung, die über Jahrhunderte hinweg von den Einheimischen zum Schutz vor Piraten auf Hügeln oder an den Seiten von kleinen Schluchten erbaut wurde. Das Haus selbst ist ein Schatz von Architektur und Gastfreundschaft, bestehend aus zwei langen und großen gewölbten Kuppeln, die durch einen Innenkorridor verbunden sind. Der vordere Bereich bietet ein Wohnzimmer mit zwei Schlafsofas und ein durchgehend in Stein gearbeitetes Schlafzimmer mit einem bequemen Doppelbett. Die Küche ist komplett eingerichtet und am hinteren Teil des Hauses befindet sich ein weiteres Schlafzimmer mit Doppelbett. Liebevoll und sorgfältig eingerichtet, empfängt dieses Haus seine Gäste mit einem Willkommenskorb, der alles für das Frühstück der kommenden Tage bereithält. Außerhalb des Hauses erwartet die Gäste eine weitläufige Terrasse mit Ostblick, ausgestattet mit Sonnenliegen sowie einem Tisch und Stühlen im Schatten. Vothonas, überwiegend von Einheimischen bewohnt, die in den Weinbergen oder im Tourismus tätig sind, liegt fast im Zentrum der Insel. Dies bietet einen leichten Zugang zu verschiedenen Stränden, dem Flughafen, dem Hauptboothafen und der Hauptstadt Fira, die alle nur 3-5 km entfernt sind. Ein Supermarkt und Bankdienstleistungen liegen 1 km entfernt. Ein traditioneller, gepflasterter Pfad, der für Rollstühle nicht geeignet ist, führt vom Gemeinschaftsparkplatz 250 m bis zum Haus, wo Gäste persönliche Beratung und Unterstützung in allen Belangen sowie Insider-Tipps zu den Geheimtipps der Einheimischen erhalten.

We rebuilt it, renovated it with lots of love and personal work and ... here it is for you to enjoy it! It is located just one minute walk above Pori beach, in between Fira and Oia so, ideal for a nice swim at the sea just any time you want! The kitchen is fully equipped and the double bed in the semi cave wins the gold medal :-)
