Holiday rentals in Sant'Eufemia a Maiella

Catia and Andrea's house was perfect! Everything was super clean, there was everything you need to cook, I could wash clothes, the whole time I felt right at home. The location is stunning, with a huge private courtyard with a view of the mountains and the sound of the river. There are walking trails nearby and only 30-60 minutes by car, there are multiple mountains to hike up if that's your thing. I recommend Monte Amaro (difficult) and Monte Mileto (moderate). Above all, Catia and Andrea were two of the nicest hosts I've ever had the pleasure to meet. Catia was extremely communicative before my arrival and when I told her what time I would arrive, her and Andrea suggested to meet them at a bar near the airbnb. Of course I accepted and I was met with beautiful hospitality, they bought me two beers and let me practice my Italian with them. And to top it off, they personally escorted me to show me the airbnb, and they also left some beer and two bottles of wine. Best experience yet!

Very quiet place, rustic apartment in line with the place, Mr. Francesco gave us the opportunity to check in at night and above all as soon as we arrived, despite it being late at night he immediately replied and gave us directions regarding the questions we had for the stay. Recommended place for those who want to unwind and immerse themselves in nature.

The Baita nel Bosco is simply enchanting. Located in the upper part of the village in a secluded position, surrounded on 3 sides by the woods and overlooking the valley from which you can admire the sunset, enjoy the silence and spot the fireflies when it gets dark! The town of Caramanico is less than a 10-minute walk away and is therefore very convenient even if you want to reach the center of the town. The location is strategic for visiting almost every corner of that paradise called Majella and, right outside the house, there is the Orfento valley, one of the most extraordinary reserves in the area. Marcella was an exceptional host: friendly, helpful, kind, full of care and attention and lavish with advice on places to visit and things to do (in the house you will find many brochures, magazines and maps useful for the purpose). The house is very comfortable, cozy, the cleanliness really impeccable in every room. We couldn't have chosen better. It was a wonderful holiday, thank you Marcella!!

Both Gabriella and her mother, the latter took care of our welcome, were very helpful. When we arrived, the lady took care to turn on the fireplace for us, not to mention the fact that she kindly let our children use her snow slides. Very clean sheets, comfortable beds, very large fireplace and location of the central house 2 steps (literally) from the dairy, the oven, the bar and the trattoria. San Leonardo Pass can be reached in 15 minutes by car.

5 Stars – A Romantic Gem in the Heart of Abruzzo This cottage is an absolute dream! Tucked away just 5 minutes from Sulmona and 7 minutes from the postcard-perfect village of Pacentro, it’s the ideal romantic hideaway. Peaceful, beautifully styled, and surrounded by stunning countryside—it feels like your own slice of Italian heaven. Francesca has thought of everything. The house was spotless and incredibly well stocked—the fridge and pantry were filled with thoughtful touches that made our mornings easy and our evenings cosy. We enjoyed a mix of eating out at local favourites and cooking at home with gorgeous local produce. If you're thinking about booking—don’t hesitate. You’ll fall in love with this place just like we did!

Marco is an extremely welcoming host. Despite our arrival outside the scheduled times, he went out of his way to welcome us personally. The accommodation is as described. It is a small haven of peace and quiet for nature lovers and walks (or more athletic walks) in the mountains. The bedding is of good quality, which is important for a pleasant stay. As it is a traditional home, it has few windows and so there is limited daylight inside. It's a small downside that didn't stop us from having a great stay, and we would gladly recommend this place.

Letizia and her family welcomed us in an impeccable way. The house was perfect for our needs, I stayed with my brother and everyone had their own room. If I were to return to Sulmona and its surroundings, I would have no doubts, I would definitely return to them. Thanks to everyone!
