Our house is a traditional hacienda-type house. The guest bedrooms have their only entries through the outside patio. The private heated pool awaits for a relaxing swim after a full day exploring ruins or touring the nearby pueblos! Lachigolo is a small and peaceful pueblo, about a 15-minute drive from Oaxaca along the Pan American Highway, and around 5 minutes past El Tule. The location makes it a good base for day trips to places like Hierve al Agua, Teotitlan, and Mitla.

Situated 5 minutes walking distance to San Mateo Río Hondo's center, our cabin sports one of the best views in town. In the morning, the sun peaks through floor to ceiling glass panes, slowly lighting up the mountain range across the valley. In the evenings, you're welcomed home by a warm fire, bamboo sheets, handwoven wool blankets, a luxurious mattress and a Starlink connection.

For the hiker, there are local mountain trails. And, the town of Tule is 2.5 miles away with its majestic 2,000 year-old cypress tree - a sight to see!

It sits atop a nearly 400-year-old foundation on 2 ½ acres that back onto a tranquil nature reserve that you're welcome to explore.

The cabin has a king size bed on the second floor and a double sofa bed on the first floor, as well as a kitchen, equipped with a gas grill, minibar and kitchen utensils, steel fireplace, breakfast bar, bathroom, toilet and hot water, all inside the cabin itself for greater comfort.
