Rustic Home in Montserrat

This rustic home situated in a secluded valley in Montserrat National Park, 60km from Barcelona was built after the Napoleonic wars. The legend has it that it was built with money stolen from the corpses of the defeated French soldiers after the battle of El Bruc. I rebuilt the house from a near ruin, respecting the original structure in 1992. I have decorated it with a notable and very personal collection of art. There is a picturesque view from every window.

My family of 5 stayed in the Villa because of the pool and views an nice clean looking home. The house was very clean and new as advertised. everything was described exactly like the ad. The host met us at check in and walked us through the home so we understood how to use alarms and doors. the air conditioning worked. we had a wonderful stay and will be back but next time with adults. the home is suited to handle 4 couples. thank you Kevin.

C’est bien la première fois que j’ai envie de mettre 5 étoiles à l’hôtel mais aussi à la propriétaire qui a été la personne la plus accueillante et bienveillante, nous avons été comme enfants avec son merveilleux petit déjeuner ! Pour parler de l’habitation c’est vraiment quelque chose qui sort de l’ordinaire et des locations habituelles, un bâtiment historique d’époque, avec son beau mobilier et ses magnifiques prestations, nous avons vraiment adorer, nous reviendrons dès que possible, mais cette fois ci à la bonne heure ! If we could give the castle 10 stars, we would! None of us wanted to leave. The castle with view and surroundings was beautiful and peaceful. Our kids loved learning the history of the castle and of Spain in general from Marc, the host. Marc was always available with anything we needed. We hiked 3 trails from the castle which Marc recommended and we loved them all. The kids enjoyed exploring the castle and property around the castle. They all say it’s the best place we’ve ever stayed! Thank you Marc! We hope to come back one day!:)

The most beautiful view of Montserrat. Genuinely stopped multiple times to comment on how brilliant the view was and the whole apartment is designed so you’re always looking outwards. A simple set up with everything you need for your stay, very easy arrival and helpful hosts. Thank you!
