Artfully Renovated Stone House Overlooking the City of Noto

Ancient walls and modern conveniences coexist in peaceful harmony in this architect's house. Glazed doors in the bedrooms and living areas open onto a rolling landscape. Dine alfresco on a sheltered patio and go for a swim in a pool with a view. Le Casuzze is a holiday home which was completed in the summer of 2017 and designed by an architect from Bologna. It is perfectly integrated in the landscape behind the baroque town of Noto, and offers a superb view of the sea, the town and the natural beauty of the surrounding area. Finding a balance between luxury and simplicity is difficult task, which the the architect has mastered incredibly well. The three bedrooms (all of which have a separate en-suite bathroom) have replaced the stables, whilst the living room is placed in the old housing quarters. There where empty space previously separated the two buildings now stands the kitchen. A fourth bathroom is accessible via the living-room. All the rooms are connected with one another and can also be accessed via the outside terraces, which face the south and east respecitively – the former offering a superb panomaric view of the surrounding landscape. The seven-by-seven-meter large pool was designed to resemble a Gebbia: an antique water reservoir; The pool area constituting the transition between the house and the mediterranean Macchia. The entire property is defined by an incredibly calm and harmonious atmosphere and is the perfect place to wind down. Le Casuzze is located on a beautiful ridge behind Noto, overlooking the city and the sea. Take wonderful walks through the Mediterranean scrub from here, undisturbed by the few houses in the neighborhood.

The accommodation was exactly as described and corresponded to the photos. Everything was super clean, new, modern. The kitchen is well equipped. Beautiful, new, immaculate white bed linen. We arrived late in the evening, which was no problem. The terrace and the entire outdoor area are elegantly harmonious and very well maintained. Located just outside Notos, it is very quiet. A 10-minute walk to the city center and about 15 minutes' drive to the fantastic beach in the nature reserve are easily doable. Emanuele was super friendly and quick and helpful. There are good restaurant recommendations and an extremely high-quality bakery nearby. We spent 4 nights in the house and would have liked to stay longer.

Il Baglio del Picchio is a beautiful structure recently renovated, you can see all the accuracy that has been put by the owners. Our stay was wonderful, the structure is well-stocked, clean and comfortable, there are precautions that I have hardly found in other stays. Small but well-stocked kitchen. Beautiful outdoor space where you can relax at the private pool, cook and dine outdoors. Finally, the hosts are fantastic, warm welcome and have been able to answer all our questions and help us for any need. Definitely recommended!

We loved this place. We enjoyed sitting by the pool and in the orchard drinking citrus cocktails that we made from the orchard. The kids loved the pool. We had two couples, each with two kids. Note, the fourth bedroom is in a separate dwelling about 30 meters from the primary three bedroom house.

We spent 3 nights in this beautiful home. Nothing is missing! I can imagine living there. It is easy to park for free in the street and the accommodation is very quiet and yet a few minutes from the center on foot. Ideal for shining in Baroque Sicily! Silvia waited for us despite our announced delay. Thanks again!

If you are looking for a peaceful getaway, Flavias place is a true gem. Very private residence, right on a beautiful beach. Flavias father, Gigi, helped us check in, and out. He was kind, and helpful despite us not knowing italian. He even washed our car winshield for our depature. This is a special place, and memorable experience. Don't hesitate to book!

We loved our stay here! The apartment is located super centrally, just a few steps away from the main street of Noto. Still it was easily accessible by car. You can park for free in the street, but just keep in mind it is a bit of a steep hill. The place was very clean, well equipped and very nicely decorated. The hosts were friendly and easy to communicate with. Would highly recommend!
