The main house next door is a cafe run by its own company (Sweet House Cafe). Opening time: 11:00 - 18:00 (Closed every Thursday) It is a 10-minute drive to Ginzan Onsen and 20 minutes to Oishida Station. About the Omagari Fireworks Festival (Daisen City) on August 31st Traffic is very crowded and there will be a lot of traffic on the day. The time indicated by Google map can not come from the fireworks display venue to our inn in 1 hour and 14 minutes.It takes 3-5 hours on that day.The fireworks display will probably end or arrive at Katasumi as early as 1 o'clock at night and around 2 o'clock.If you're making a reservation for that date, please understand this before booking.Please note that it is not possible to pick up and drop off by car.

The room was very clean and spacious, and it was a stylish and comfortable space. There are many facilities around where you can go shopping, and there are also hot springs and parks, as well as playing cards and UNO, so I think it is a very suitable place for a large number of people to relax. It is a distance from the center of the city, so access by public transportation is not great, but I felt that it was a fairly easy place to get to by car because the interstate is nearby. Host (staff?)was also very kind and pleasant.

An inn where you can meet and talk about Nishiwaga-cho, Iwate Prefecture [Japanese-style room: Nishi]

Yohei is a very friendly and helpful host, he actively reach us to understand our trip and gave us extra information to understand more in what we need to prepare or how it would be like near his place. He came to JR station to help taking our suitcases and drove us to his place, whixh is very welcoming and hassle free as a tourist who never been to that area. After he knew we are going for the firework festival, he gave us information about which train we should take and the route to get to the firework area at Daisen, he even offered to drive us back if we could not catch the last train (I think he need to drive for at least 45 mins to get to Daisen). Yohei also recommended a cafe nearby and drove us there, it is actually within walkable distance. The cafe serves really nice coffee and cheesecake, and astonishing view at their outdoor seats at thee backyard, which is right next to a lake, and we realised even tourist board took poster image at the same cafe with the view to promote

The best experience in my trip to Yamagata. This resident located by the river bank of beautiful Mogami river, really quiet and nature surround. You may have a bath in the outdoor without any worries. Also, even there’s no restaurant after dark, the owner kindly prepared great quality BBQ meat and vegetables for me, with easy-to-use BBQ equipments. Bed was warm and comfortable, bagel breakfast enlights next day morning. I would to recommend my friends to stay at this place.

You can use the whole house, and the 3000 yen range is very reasonable.There were supermarkets and tourist spots nearby, and the location was good. However, there seems to have been a slight misunderstanding with the host regarding the date I visited.The host thought we were staying the next day, but they prepared the room right away. I was a little worried that the bath was a little dirty.However, the whole house looked new and beautiful. Check-out is until 12: 00, so it's nice to be able to relax in the morning. The host was very kind, and overall it was a very satisfying stay.I'd love to stay again.

No meals/tatami mat room with veranda/1-4 ppl

The room is warm, the hot springs are beautiful, the service staff are super friendly, and there are hot springs that are so cost-effective in such a deep mountain secret. Unfortunately, the nearby attractions are all closed due to heavy snow closure, and maybe we may want to visit again next time in other seasons.
