Celine's place is fantastic! There was plenty of room for our family of 5. House was clean, nicely decorated and kitchen was well stocked to prepare dinner after a trip to the grocery store. Beds were comfortable and the view of the English Chanel was great! Location was excellent! Short drive to D-Day activities and Bayeux. It was a short walk down to the English Channel, which made for very relaxing evenings. House was very easy to find and operating the lock box was easy as well. Everything was as described and we were very pleased with our experience overall. Highly recommend staying here if you are in the area.

We had a great stay at this property. It is central to all of the beaches for the Normandy landings. The property was nice and clean felt spacious private area nice and quiet.Port Bessin is only a 10 minute drive with lots of restaurants and is a lovely place to walk around.

Our host Claire was very quick in communicating and very helpful with some important local arrangements we needed to make. The house is beautiful, in a great quiet location, a ten minute walk on the flat from the centre of Bayeux, and a short walk from a very well-stocked convenience store and bakery. Our stay was incredibly peaceful; there’s a beautifully kept garden with mature trees and two outdoor seating areas - one with large outdoor dining table. More than one of us commented that we felt we were ‘forest bathing’ - very relaxing. The house itself is clean, had very comfy beds, was very well equipped and it felt as welcoming as our host was! We’d thoroughly recommend a stay here.

3rd time in this place and in any weather and any time of the year, the charm always works. We simply feel good there as it is peaceful. The cottage is super well equipped and the children love the games, the garden, Fernand the donkey etc... In short, we simply hope to return a 4th time :-)

What a perfect stay we have had, truely outstanding. The cottage was so pretty, clean and beautifully furnished. The location was excellent for exploring the vast history and beautiful Normandy countryside. Rodolphe and his family were extremely welcoming, friendly and on hand to offer any help or recommendations. We really enjoyed every minute and would love to return next year. Highly recommend. We had a brilliant week staying at Nicolas's house in Bayeux! The house is clean and comfortable and exactly as described in the listing. The garden was absolutely lovely, and being able to sit outside in the afternoon on the days when the sun was shining was always a great way to end the day. We were in Bayeux for a half-term family holiday that coincided with the anniversary of the D-Day landings. It is the perfect location to explore all of the key sights, most of which are within a 30 minute drive. The house is also very close to the centre of town which makes eating out and accessing the shops really easy. Nicolas's communication was really good and he was there to meet us when we arrived so there were no problems accessing the property. I would unreservedly recommend Nicolas's listing to other Airbnb users and, if we ever return to Bayeux, I would definitely choose to stay there again.

The place was great and Thierry was extremely responsive. We had asked him for a small favour since we wanted to leave our bags somewhere safe and Thierry wholeheartedly let us check in early.

Romain Et Céline's AirBnb was a lovely little retreat in Caen. You can reach it from the train station with a 30 minute walk or you can take the tram which gets you there in about 10-15 minutes. The location is in the center of the city. It is a five minute walk to several restaurants for dinner and you are never further than 20-25 minutes walk from most of the popular tourist sites. The listing itself had all the promised amenities. There was not much sound at night so we all slept well. Three of us comfortably used the space. The internet was also able to handle all of us using it at the same time. The shower also had good water pressure and hot water. The check-in instructions were easy to follow and the check-out instructions were quite reasonable. Romain messaged to ask how our stay was going was quick to respond whenever I had questions. I had a wonderful time and would be happy to rent this AirBnb again.

It's a delightful little paradise! The apartment is snug and cozy, the garden beautiful and peaceful. I had a lot of fun during the short (or sometimes longer) chats with Guy. It's clear that he is passionate about the region and has a lot to tell about it. I had a little less contact with Jocelyn, but she is very friendly as well. To be honest, I felt a bit like staying at my grandparents, which was a nice feeling. The location is perfect. A lovely hiking trail passes right in front of the door. All the 'big sights' of Normandy are in reach within a day-trip. All in all I enjoyed my time there a lot and I definitely hope to come back another time.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! I would recommend staying here to anyone. Nicholas was very responsive and accommodating. After 10 days traveling in Europe as a family, it was so nice to have some space to spread out in rather than staying another night in a hotel. There was a washing machine which we took advantage of to have some clean clothes to get us through the rest of the trip. The AirBnb is in a great location! Walkable to the Bayeux Tapestry, Bayeux Cathedral and lots of great restaurants and cafes.

Cozy unique apartment with beautiful view to an old church. It is also in a beautiful shopping street with pubs and restaurants. The aparment itself has everything you need, and you get alot of value for your money. The owner answers quick and with clear instructions. Would definitely stay here again!

Great place to stay. Very good location, very walkable with lots of restaurants and things to do right around the corner. The apartment was very nice and VERY high value. Well worth the low price we paid. Marie was an excellent host, very accommodating and friendly. I would stay here again if I came through the area!

Light, bright open flat with fully stocked kitchen, large dining table and comfy sofa living room. Bedrooms were large (we had the single studio next door - separate key required) as well. Instructions were clear, housekeeper was prompt in responding to check in time and inquiries. It is on the 3rd floor above ground level so be prepared for lots of steps (the last flight is quite narrow) Location right next to grand hotel with beach entrance across the street and walkable to all the restaurants and shops. Great stay!

Spacious space for groups, Very responsive and arranging at check-in and checkout. With nickel bedroom and bathroom Small bemol on the kitchen that would ask to be restored to the taste of the day.

It is not easy to find accommodation for a family or friends reunion. Everything is there here. Number of rooms and beds, leisure facilities for children and adults, crockery, seats all in number for a large group. It's clean. My garden is nice, like the house. Thanks again for this weekend!

Great place to stay with our family. The house is just like the pictures. It is very comfortable! The location is great as well. We saw Normandy beaches, Mont. St. Michel, and Bayeaux. I would highly recommend this lovely home if you are in the area!

The cottage was everything advertised and more. Beds were very comfortable; literature was provided for local attractions, groceries restaurants; emergency contacts, etc. Loved the horses on their breeding farm, and the serene rural setting - just the perfect distance from everything we came to see. Our gracious host, Venessa, was bilingual and spoke English, which made communicating with her much easier. The kitchen as well as the entire cottage was beautifully furnished with everything we needed. She had even provided games, and other children items -which we didn’t need - but we appreciated seeing the details given to the needs of visiting families. Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to enjoy the pool or hot tub, but would have enjoyed spending time at both amenities, given more time for our trip. I would highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone desiring to travel to the Normandy area of France.

We spent Christmas and New Year at Marianne's place for 6 (+toddler and dog)! It is a beautiful,cozy and modern house with sea views! Each couple has their own area incl. Bathroom. The fully fenced garden was great for our dog and the fireplace brought the right mood! The beach is within walking distance! By car, you can quickly get to shopping and get to all the typical sights of Normandy relatively quickly We would definitely come back!

An absolute gem located less than a 2 minute walk from the historic Omaha beach. A perfect blend of modern home with traditional beach house great for large families. The hosts are incredibly nice and wonderfully easy to work with. A shining recommendation for anyone considering staying here!

We found the house as we were presented and as we expected it. The part of the house is well and sympathetically furnished. There was nothing missing in the kitchen. We really enjoyed the conservatory. However, I would have considered here in high summer, as shading of the glass roof was not possible. I highly recommend this as the place to stay.
