Stone Cottage in Grounds of a 16th-Century Castle

The cottage sits on the grounds of a castle dating back to 1543 offering an authentic stay. The interior retains a decor that matches the historic charm of the area with modern comforts added and a shared pool in the stunning gardens outside. This is our smallest cottage and cannot take an additional bed or cot. The other cottages are all larger and can do this. All 3 cottages can be rented separately or together. They are in the grounds of a 16th century castle with beautiful gardens and large swimming pool enclosed by stone walls. The lower salon and summer kitchen in the main chateau is available to share. Access is by the side garden gate and all cottages are accessed by stone steps- sadly not suitable for wheelchairs. We will most likely be present living in the main Chateau and available to help and advise about restaurants and things to do in the area. We will share the pool and gardens. The old village is in a beautiful part of France that is has retained its iconic beauty through the centuries and still feels untouched by modern life in many places. Experience true local dining and bakeries with scenic walking trails all around. parking is in the church square below the Chateau. There is a local taxi service in the village and bus service to Avignon, Banyols sur Ceze and Uzes but car hire is recommended. We are 20 minutes from Avignon TGV rail station and about an hour from Marseille, Nimes or Montpellier airports. The cottages are completely private and tranquil.

On the second floor without elevator, very nice bright one-room apartment located in the heart of the village of connaux in an old renovated farmhouse. Air-conditioned and composed of a large living room with fully equipped kitchen and its sitting area that will turn into a bedroom corner at night thanks to its sofa bed with a real mattress. Charming house at the gates of Uzès

Thank you for our stay. This was a beautiful space with so many details big and small not overlooked by the host and owner. The house itself is quite unique in that it is full of old world charm and character but at the same time it feels new, clean and practical. Despite the age of the home everything was kept so clean and smelled fresh. The kitchen was lovely to be in as well. Even though we didn’t originally plan to cook much, we just couldn’t help it with a kitchen like this and all of the amazing dishes. The cookbook collection was a nice touch too :) Appliances all very good quality. The location for us was a bit far from some of the day trips we wanted to make so we did a fair bit of driving each day but that’s our fault since we could have stayed in this region and explored the many beautiful things close by. Next time!

A beautiful home stay in a perfect quiet village. Privacy with all the amenities you could want and spectacular views. The addition of the outdoor space and pool was such an added bonus for a family travelling with teenagers. Comfortable beds, linens and great pillows. Highly recommended if you want to stay out of the city but in easy driving distance to all local attractions.

Very nice quiet house, bring you good mosquito repellents but Nathalie puts everything at your disposal, very welcoming, waited for us upon arrival and very good advice. Perfect for our small family, very quiet and we were able to discover beautiful places not far from Connaux. Thank you to Nathalie for a very good stay. The umbrella bed and mattress for our child was a big plus . Thanks again for everything

Hi Bernadette and Georges. Your house is very quietly located which is very close to our heart. Bernadette is very friendly and pleasant lady. Upon arrival, she could not be present, but called the day after to welcome us and upon arrival there was also a very nice card on which she stated if there is anything, that we could contact someone with any questions or problems. The house is perfect for a quiet holiday with the children unfortunately we had bad luck that it was raining. But we didn't attract this and still made excursions, which were also mentioned in the brochures. Bernadette and Georges thank you for giving us the chance to stay in your house 😍
