Family-friendly holiday rentals in Saint-Nicolas

If you are thinking of staying here, do it! This is an amazing home and somehow even better in person. It’s very close to the train station (we walked it with a baby and luggage and had no issue. No steep incline and mostly paved). Jacuzzi spa, sauna and laundry in the basement. Tucked away on a quiet street but right in the middle of town (next to the oldest hotel in zermatt). Marc was extremely helpful, accommodating and friendly. This spot is more of a 5 star hotel with the extra space and private amenities. We would come back in a heartbeat. Beyond impressed. There’s a reason why the reviews are all glowing.

We were a group of 9 friends, three men and six women between 35 and 60 years old, on our first experience of living together and a short vacation in an apartment. We had a wonderful time. The expectations of the accommodation were fully met. The hospitality and helpfulness of the host Pierre and his father were exquisite. What can I say... an experience that we will gladly repeat... maybe in winter so we can enjoy a different landscape and have the opportunity to appreciate the services in the accommodation even more. Thank you for everything.

Beautiful villa with everything you need to meet every need. Excellent location, easy to find and with a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains. Excellent communication and owners always available. An experience to repeat for sure.

A really unusual and beautifully converted little mazot or chalet. Looks characterful and rustic on the outside but it was very modern and nicely kitted out on the inside. The space is tiny but we found it perfect for two. We were there in June so could enjoy sitting out on the terrace. We are both over 6ft so had to watch our heads in the bedroom which is in the eaves. We also found the stairs very steep and tricky so would caution people who are not very sure on their feet. One had to be very careful with middle of the night trips downstairs downstairs to the bathroom! Both the living room and the bedroom have a traditional unglazed window which is sealed by a large wooden door which it is brilliant to throw open to enjoy the mountain air, even when it's raining or snowing. Very atmospheric! The mazot is in a quite spot just on the edge of town but everything is 5 to 10 minutes walk away. There is even a japanese and also a savoyard restaurant a few minutes walk away.

This is a large Airbnb, which is fairly close to the train station in Zermatt, and the host was friendly, helpful, and responsive. The Airbnb is situated on the side of a large hill, which faces the Matterhorn. We had a beautiful view of the mountain every single day, and the dual lifts make it easy and convenient to get from town to the Airbnb. The only downside -- and it really wasn't much of a problem -- is that the Airbnb is located near the edge of town, and so it is about a 10 to 15-minute walk to the center of Zermatt where most of the restaurants are located. Regardless, if you have a large group, this makes for a good option. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.

Raul was accommodating and very helpful and friendly. We had a young child and a dog with us and were all made welcome. Dolmus II was a beautiful apartment, light and spacious with all we needed for a comfortable stay. Close to the main areas but far enough away to be private. Would recommend.

Very nice, large chalet in the mountains. Nice big living room with view on the mountains. We had a pleasant weekend. We were two families and the house was large enough for us to feel confortable. Very well equipped as well!

A beautiful house, spacious, very clean, equipped with every comfort, we stayed in 5 for New Year's Eve. It is in an extremely quiet area but just a few minutes drive from the center of Aosta and the departure station of the Pila gondola. Considering the time, location, and features of the home, we found the price really affordable. Fanny is a very kind and helpful host. We will definitely come back and absolutely recommend it.

An absolutely wonderful place—we highly recommend it for any type of getaway! But what truly makes it special is the host, Marcel. He is an amazing person—kind, friendly, and incredibly welcoming. He personally greeted us upon arrival and was always ready to help, making us feel completely at home. The view is simply breathtaking—you are right at the foot of the mountain, and you can admire it almost straight from your bed. The apartment has everything you need, and the cleanliness is impeccable. It’s clear that Marcel puts a lot of care into this place, and that’s exactly why you’ll want to return again and again. Restorative experience. Massimiliano's chalet is a magical place, expressing a love for the mountains, for simple things, for nature and art. We stayed 3 nights, the house was all for us... and we had a good time, lulled by silence, in the quiet of a village of other times. Everything in its place, tidy, clean, in harmony with the style of the place. The scent of wood, essences, and soaps in the bathroom has won us over. Good breakfast, easy to reach the village restaurant for dinner, comfortable trails to spend a day in nature. Thank you Massimiliano for these days of serenity.

Great extended weekend at Amandine's. The cottage is comfortable and friendly. Nordic bathing is a plus. The hikes nearby are very beautiful! A small haven of peace!

We had a great time. Spacious apartment for a ski home! It is located at the foot of the slopes and easy to access , very quiet residence with a great view. Lorraine was very responsive to our requests. We'll be happy to come back hoping to get some snow next time 😉 Ophelia

Sophie is a very friendly host and she really helped me with the check in. Spotless place, very convenient location, especially if you ski in Les Arcs. Just a short walk to the funicular. Would 100% recommend.

This was our 2nd stay with Luisa and Giorgio and their kids and they already feel like family! They go above and beyond to make their guests feel at home, so friendly and welcoming and kind! Uncle Angelo is also a treat! We would come back again and again if we could!!

A cosy appartment with a phenomenal view, very well located in Arcs 1600 with direct access to ski slopes. Nice terrass too. Good parking place as well where the car is parked safe and shielded. Excellent communication and clear instructions on how to get there.

Very nice apartment with a lovely big living room and large windows. Well equipped, clean and tidy. A short walk to the Argentiere lifts, all important boulangerie and restaurants in the village. Justin was very helpful but not over the top. Recommended.
