Amazing place to stay! Clean, comfortable and quirky decor. The hot tub, bbq and egg chairs a luxury touch outside, and the views are truly magnificent. The bird feeder outside the bedroom allows you to relax in bed whilst watching the birds doing their thing, even had a wood pecker visit a few times. Highly recommend for a chilled break. I’d recommend arriving stocked with any food and drink you’ll need so you don’t have to leave!

Amazing stay here with my husband. The cottage was perfect for a relaxing and quiet weekend. The breakfast basket was a lovely touch and everything was as described in the listing. Joy is a brilliant host checking in to make sure everything was going smoothly! Would definitely stay again!!

Had a lovely birthday weekend away at Humbug Barn! Amanda was a wonderful host—so welcoming and helpful. The barn itself was beautiful and perfectly located near the Forest of Dean. The views from the hot tub were absolutely stunning. I’d definitely recommend it! xx

Incredible place! We had a lovely couple of nights here. The house is full of character and has everything you need and the enclosed garden was great for our young daughter and dogs. Very peaceful location so sitting in the hot tub in the evenings was very relaxing. The added bonus of access to the river at the bottom of the garden was great! Will checked us in and gave us some suggestions of local walks and things to do which was ideal. Would highly recommend!!

There are SuperHosts and then there’s Pete!! What a star - he likes to chat to newcomers if he can, and we found him full of really useful info. He even managed to get us a table at the local pub, The White Horse. It was packed, but the service and food were excellent. He also recommended a walk up to the Kymin, which was fantastic - what a view. Pete also gave us the most generous welcome basket of goodies we’ve ever had!! All in all, the perfect, peaceful, pad in a great location to get anywhere in the Wye valley, Forest of Dean or wider Monmouthshire. And Pete!

A beautiful hidden gem in the Cotswolds countryside! You can get more peaceful and relaxing than this! A lovely cake on arrival, clean fresh bedding and towels. Everything you need in the kitchen. A lovely little courtyard and dog friendly. We had an amazing 2 night stay for my birthday. Finding the games, Scrabble and connect four gave us a few giggles. Lovely walks around the area... I highly recommend this beautiful converted barn / mill house. It has everything you need from toiletries to blankets and fans if it's hot to logs if it's cold. Kevin was a terrific host. The gardens of the house were excellent and made for a relaxing stay. The house was very charming and we enjoyed cooking for each other and playing games.

Graig Ddu is a very special place. The house has a timeless quality to it, so much more than a typical holiday rental. The location is so beautiful, it is surrounded by the garden and trees up a lovely forest track (but still safely driveable) We enjoyed the walk along the valley to Llanthony Priory but also just spent time in the garden. We were there during the unusually hot weather and the house was a cool, calm escape. Really enjoyed the books and Positive News magazines, a much needed antidote to current affairs! We had a wonderful stay (it was my second visit) and the property was perfect for my elderly mother. It's all on one level with spacious rooms and an accessible wet room. The property is very well equipped so it's easy to self cater if you want to. The house is very attractive inside and out and in a perfect setting with beautiful views. It's very peaceful and rural but with plenty of places to visit if you take a short drive and lovely local walks.

Lovely cottage, big bonus is electric car charging and dog friendly. Comfy beds, real fire place and good board games. We had a lovely time

Beautiful and stylish house, true to pictures, clean and cozy. We enjoyed the sauna. Also loved cooking meals in the kitchen. Responsive and helpful host. Do note it is not a detached house so we can see/ hear the neighbors and vice versa. Overall we enjoyed our stay here, thank you Lisa!

The Stables was the perfect destination for a relaxing holiday away from the city. Yvonne was an excellent host who gave us some good recommendations for restaurants and left us some tasty scones as a welcome gift. The view from the place is stunning and we enjoyed eating outside watching the birds. The place was comfortable, the shower was hot and had good pressure and the kitchen had everything we needed. I'd thoroughly recommend this place and will hopefully come again in the future.

We loved our stay at Edith’s Cottage- everything was so spotless and so thoughtfully prepared and of excellent quality. Ann was a superb host with clear and prompt communication, great recommendations plus left a delicious lemon cake and birthday candles as one of our group had a birthday! Would definitely go back!!!

Had the perfect get a way and much needed peace and relaxation. This was absolutely perfect!! Beautiful surroundings, Andrew and Sarah were absolutely lovely, so friendly and helpful. We had everything we needed and it was super clean. The little added extras were so sweet, especially catering to my allergies. Overall will definitely come back!

Doris and her husband were wonderful hosts. They were so warm, welcoming, kind and generous. They went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. We had special little treats like pastries daily. Were given fresh eggs on arrival from their own hens and wine.

What a fabulous find this was. It loved up to our expectations and far, far beyond. Utterly delightful, peaceful and quirky. All the lovely touches, renovated to the highest standard. A massive bonus was access to a beautiful garden, complete with sun loungers! Given that the weather was amazing it really did add a special something! Perry Pear Cottage has for us been such a restful and peaceful retreat. Nestled off the beaten track in a rural setting in the heart of The Forest Dean, it was lovely to be serenaded with nature's music of bird song and lowing cattle in the fore. Really good location, a few minutes walk from the centre of Chepstow - lots of pubs and places to eat and a large supermarket 5 minutes walk away. The description and photos of the place were very accurate.
