Holiday rentals with a kayak in Sahel

We had a super week-long stay at Hamo Fathy Nubian House; very comfortable, clean, relaxing, & fun. The property is just like the photos show. We liked the strong bedroom AC, ceiling fans, solid WiFi, smart TV, hot water, full kitchen, wash machine, comfy beds, excess fresh linens, and lighting options. No view, but just a few minutes walk from nice riverside restaurants with terraces (cold beer), water taxi to Aswan city (10 pound fare), groceries, ancient ruins, and swimming spots. No cars or motos on Elephantine; small sandy lanes criss-cross the island. Neighbors all smile and say 'welcome'. It feels like a different world/time. Best of all is Mohamed the host. Very responsive, kind, and helpful. Great English & well-traveled. No sales pressure - but can arrange anything you want at fair prices. He set-up our airport pick-up, private day tours, shared Abu Simbel van, felucca and motor boat rides. He's permanently in my phone as resource for all of Egypt. Highly recommended!

We were very well hosted by Daniel in his beautiful home. Joigny was perfect with us, especially for getting around and discovering the surroundings. I recommend it!!

Accustomed to travel, this property is in my top 3 of the best destinations I've traveled. Adorable and helpful people to want it to be at the reception by the owners despite my delay and my arrival in the middle of the night, a very very clean room with the equipment as described. And what a beautiful surprise in the morning after going down a few steps to meet at the restaurant on a terrace facing the sea with a staff just as adorable as the owners, to your care, with a very complete breakfast and at the unbeatable quality/price rate. And the delicious dishes made by Binta and her team (Marietou, Gnima),you will enjoy yourself as never before! And to say that I couldn't stay for the weekend where there are each time concerts facing the sea on the terrace of the bar which, I saw images on their social network are a treat of quality musical discoveries!!! In short, I can only say how much I recommend this little paradise

If you are the kind of traveler whose purpose and travel is to take delight in the serendipitous experiences that you might encounter along your way, you will adore Celine‘s place. The experience we had staying there will be one, I am certain, I will cherish for the rest of my life. Celine‘s hospitality was unmatched. She spent time with each guest personally and shared her passion for hospitality. The accommodations were comfortable and provided everything we needed. The grounds were beautiful and expertly maintained. But what stood out the most was the communal meal each morning and night, where Celine’s expert cooking reflected in every single thing that we ate or drank. Do yourself a favor and visit this place if you would all can.

Wonderful stay at Valerie's house on the island of Ngor! The place is charming and well equipped (fridge + electricity with solar panels + barbecue) with a large living room and a beautiful garden that has a spacious and airy terrace. The city center is easy to access by taxi + canoe (the connections are regular and to order) and the pollution or heat is less felt on the island because there is a little wind (very pleasant, especially in the evening! +++) Valerie is a very welcoming host who made sure our stay went as smoothly as possible. The caretaker of the house on site is a Senegalese with whom we have linked a real bond of friendship. He makes sure the house lacks nothing and helped us find good places and weekend ideas. We are very happy to have chosen this accommodation and highly recommend it! Theophile Pajot

The place was very quiet and very secure. It was a Home away from home as everything that we needed was available. My family feel very safe, as the host was available to our aid at anytime we needed him….The house was cleaned and sanitize every other day which was my favorite.. Will definitely stay at this place again whenever I visited Sierra Leone…

Akoua's cottage is simply stunning. The spotlessly clean interior had everything we needed for a perfect weekend in natural paradise. Our host was incredibly responsive and proactive, offering excellent local insights and fulfilling every request. The entire staff was courteous and professional. We were captivated by the breathtaking natural environment surrounding the property: the patio, garden, and especially the riverside relaxation area. The cottage's proximity to the bridge led us to a fantastic restaurant nearby, boasting exquisite food and delightful owners. Truly an unforgettable experience; we'll definitely return!

Lovely place! Very well managed! Akosua even waved the early checkin cost and gave free use of her kayak. Certainly visiting again.
