Stroud : Farmers Market & Food scene

Stroud is famous for its Saturday farmer's market - definitely worth a look & to buy your breads, cheeses, vegetables and meats etc
Visit Stroud for the farmers market every Saturday morning from 10-2pm. There's also some great stalls and places to eat in the Three Valleys Centre (a sort of shopping arcade but its full of food stalls but there's also lots to eat in the covered market section of the Farmer's Market at the top of the main street on the right). Jolly Nice is a great farmshop nearby - expensive but all food is fantastic

Walking & picnics

Woodchester Mansion and its lakes: the mansion was never completed but its got stunning walks down to its lakes (there are 3 of them and locals swim in them over the summer). Take a picnic for a lovely day out. Its about 10 minutes drive from the house.
