  • Great place to stay. Had a great weekend away, we’ll definitely be staying again in the summer!

    Sam2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • This place is outstanding. The photos don’t do the pod justice. Everything was clean as a bell. The toilet and shower place was heated and warm no none of that cold camping showering. Pod is roomy and don’t feel claustrophobic at all. Also tho our stay was in January and the outside weather was quite cold. Two little heaters pumped the place with heat. Lovely and cosy too with the fire. And the plus sockets have usb s too!!!

    John2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • The Pod was lovely. Set in a very quiet area, with a lovely wood burning stove. The hut was very warm and cosy despite the January freezing temperatures. The only slight hitch we had was the hot water pipe freezing. But Alan was super helpful running around all day and night to try and get it fixed. We only stayed one night so didn’t cause us any real problems. Alan was a very nice and very helpful host. I’d be happy to recommend him and his listings to others. Thanks Alan

  • This is a lovely spot if you are looking for cosy, simple and clean accommodation, well located in this beautiful region. We very much enjoyed our stay, and especially loved the tardis-like bathroom in the pony trailer! Alan is a very hospitable host.

  • We had a lovely, cosy stay in the Green Hut despite the stormy January weather. Good value for money and very well-situated for our desired aim of hiking the Jurassic coast and seeing the best of Dorset. Louise was very helpful, friendly and efficient.

    Susan2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Despite staying in The Green Hut on the weekend of Storm Dennis(!), the hut was surprisingly warm and extremely cosy. We only managed to escape the hut for a couple of hours in the storm - just enough time to briefly explore Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove - but felt so at home from the moment we arrived!

    Shauna2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • The Green Hut is gorgeous! Much bigger than the pictures show and a great venue for a cosy getaway. The weather was not great for us unfortunately so we spent a lot of time in the hut and we loved it. 100% recommend to all!

    Paige2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Lou was WONDERFUL! The entire experience was one of a lifetime! Forever grateful for Lou and The Green Hut!

  • Beautiful space, cosy and warm inside even though it was frosty outside! Breakfast was excellent and very welcome on a cold morning. Everything we needed was thoughtfully provided. Winfrith Newburgh is a lovely, quiet village and so close to the coastal path- we spent both days walking by the beaches. Wonderful couple of days.

Middle Cottage has three bedrooms with a lounge on the ground floor with a breakfast bar. Shower room on the ground floor with another wc upstairs. Basic accommodation generally used for school groups for field trips. No school groups will be at New Barn during your stay. No Kitchen. Set in the middle of 20 acres of our wildflower meadows and woodland, on top of a hill overlooking stunning dorset landscape, yet only 5 mins to Dorchester.
Extremely quite and mellow, with lots of footpaths for country walks, yet the busy seaside town of Weymouth is only 30 mins away or for more serious shopping Bournemouth is around an hour away and Southampton just beyond that.
  • Fantastic place! The animals are amazing - check out the iron age hut. So cool. Highly recommended and great value.

    Joanna2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Brilliant stay! Matt was a great host, very responsive and welcoming. Exactly as it was advertised and ideal for our stay.

    Matt2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Easy to talk to. Very welcomong. Does what it says on the tin!

    Taimoor2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • The accommodation and Matt are brilliant, I definitely recommend it for travellers looking for a spot off the road

    Arnaud2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect stopover if you are walking the Frome Valley Way. The Field Centre is a really interesting place - we took a peek around the Iron Age village in the morning before we left. The accommodation is advertised as without kitchen but it does have one with fridge, kettle, sink, toaster and microwave (no hob) - great for rustling up a quick brekky. The local pub is a gem.

    Jon2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing little place in a gorgeous location. Mathew was amazing at welcoming us and letting us visit the farm as well as feed the animals. This was perfect as a stop on the way back from Cornwall but we d definitely recommend over the summer for a longer stay. Great pub close by!

    Celine2019-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • A great place to stay for a large family and ideally located for exploring the Jurassic coast.

    Alan2019-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Matthew's place whilst attending a wedding and it was perfect! The setting was beautiful, the accommodation itself was basic but exactly as described and extremely good value. We really enjoyed meeting the piglets, sheep, goats, and llamas. Matthew gave us a brilliant local recommendation for a pub. We had a great time.

  • George and his family were lovely hosts. The studio was a gorgeous cosy space and made for the perfect weekend getaway to the Jurassic coast.

    Ayah2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Spacious, clean, all facilities you need.a lovely apartment, lovely natural light from 2 large dormer windows. Extremely comfy bed, well equipped kitchen.lovely touches...home baked Christmas biscuits, fresh eggs, fresh milk, cereals, jam, marmalade, all beautifully presented...even a touch of Christmas decorations and lights. George is a quick responder which makes it welcoming. As I was arriving when almost dark he kindly parked a bicycle against the roadside wall to ensure I didn’t drive past. Altogether lovely booking, great location, lots of local Ordnance Survey maps to browse. Sadly I could only stay one night....

  • We had a wonderful stay on the Magic Bus. The attention to detail was amazing and the owners had thought of everything, so it had all we needed and more. Despite the wet and windy weather outside, the bus was incredibly warm and cozy; the wood burning stove kept us toasty and dry and the beds were really comfortable. We are already planning our next visit and would highly recommend it. Thank you Dizzi and family x

  • Kim was fantastic. Very welcoming yet ensured I had plenty of privacy. The house is beautiful, and I had a room with access to the bathroom and her kitchen, which she had ensured was stocked with food and drink should I not have some myself. I had access to radiator controls in my room so I could set temperature to my liking, and she ensured I had extra blankets should I need as well. I couldn't recommend enough.

Tolpuddle Hideaway is a detached cosy cottage ideal for couples wanting to enjoy a tranquil environment in comfy surroundings. We are within easy reach of Dorchester, the Jurassic coastline and The Purbecks. Tolpuddle is a picturesque thatched village by the River Piddle which has become globally famous for the story of the Tolpuddle Martyrs.
The cottage has a lounge/dining room, separate kitchen with all the usual cooking facilities including a fridge and microwave. The bedroom has a king size bed and plenty of storage. Opposite the bedroom is the shower room. It’s a quiet little oasis! Please make yourself at home. You will find milk, tea and coffee in the kitchen. There are games and puzzles in the Welsh dresser, for those cosy evenings in.
The Martyrs Inn is a great pub serving good food just a minutes walk up the road. 5 minutes down the road you will reach Puddletown where you will find The Blue Vinney pub, named after the famous Dorset blue cheese. There is also Londis Grocery store with a butchers and post office within. We can also recommend The Wise Man pub in West Stafford which is less than 15 minutes drive.
  • Sweet little place, spotlessly clean and warm, everything you need in a bolt hole. Beverley is a great host, comms easy and on hand if you need anything. Martyrs pub was closed (hardly her fault!) but blue viney and wise man both close enough and decent food.

    Simon2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Such a cute and cosy little bolthole; had everything we were looking for, and some lovely touches like a jug of fresh milk and homemade biscuits! It was really comfortable and so quiet...We slept so well! Great local pub in the village, and close to the coast where we made the most of some sun and explored Durdle Door. Thanks for a great stay. Hopefully we’ll be back in the summer!

    Alex2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • This is a true hideaway in a lovely village. The apartment was very clean and tidy, the kitchen had all we needed for our 4 night stay. The bed and pillows was comfortable Mark our host was there to greet us and show us around. We were using this apartment as a base to look around Dorset and it was perfect for us, the only down side for us townies were the country lanes but by the end of the week even I was getting used to driving down them in the dark. I would recommend staying here and we would book again.

Honeysuckle Lodge is a unique blend of luxury mixed with the classic beach/shepherds hut design. It combines spa like experiences such as drenching shower and a hot tub surrounded by living walls; with home from home comforts such as cosy duvets, soft pillows and HD TV with Amazon Fire stick. Located on the site of an 18th Century Grade II listed building, in a small village with a fantastic local pub and village shop. Guests self check-in and out.
The lodge although small boasts a brand new en-suit with drenching rain shower head, stone sink and exposed copper piping. There is a double bed with cosy bedding, tea making facilities, Nespresso coffee machine and light continental breakfast. The Lodge also has use of a hot tub located just outside the lodge, surrounded by a living wall which gives privacy and a unique jungle feel. The Lodge is built in the grounds of our circa 18th Century Grade II Listed Thatched house which is located next to the A354 - this does mean that you will hear cars and often farm machinery passing during the day and sometimes at night.
The Royal Oak pub is the best local you could ask for. Serving fantastic food and drink and run by very friendly people. There is also a village shop too. All of which is within 2-3 minutes walk.
  • We had a lovely stay here, it looks exactly as it does in the pictures! The location is perfect with so much to do just 20 minutes away in any direction! The hot tub was lovely after a day of exploring and the bed was super comfy. The extra bits (breakfast, orange juice and a bottle of wine) are super thoughtful. The Royal Oak does lovely food and everyone should 100% visit. We had a great time here, our only niggle was that it took ages for our towels and swimwear to dry, but apart from that we would stay again.

  • Incredible little lodge, perfect for a relaxing couples’ break. Built by the hosts, it’s clear that a lot of thought went into the experience of their guests. If you’re happy to drive for 20 minutes in any direction then there are endless options for day trips. The local pub was a great recommendation and just a short walk from the accommodation. To all future guests - kick back and enjoy!

    Sam2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely lovely little Airbnb! The decor is so cosy and Jeremy and Chloe have done a wonderful job creating this little oasis. The hot tub is a thankful retreat after a long walk in the rain. Milborne is a delightful town, free from masses of tourists, and full of history and poetic scenery. Highly recommend visiting nearby Milton Abbey and Durdle Door. One note- there isn’t really a place to eat inside the bnb, but if you aren’t opposed to bed snacks then you’ll have a grand time!

    Lillith2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you so much! Jeremy was the perfect host and we couldn’t have asked for a better night away. The lodge is amazing, so well equipped and the decor is modern and stylish, with lovely little touches everywhere! We really appreciated the wine, milk and orange juice in the fridge too. If you’re staying on a Sunday be sure to try the fantastic carvery at The Royal Oak pub just a stones throw away from the lodge. Overall we had a wonderful time and will definitely be back 5*

The Coach House was built in the early 1900's next to the Village Inn for the carriage and horses. It has been delightfully restored to provide self-catering accommodation for 4/5. Whilst looking traditional, with solid wood flooring, exposed beams, and a wooden staircase, it has the benefit of modern technology. The hub of the Coach House is the lounge/kitchen/diner with its cosy log burner, leather sofas, underfloor heating and wall hung flat screen TV.
Dewlish is a small rural village and is perfectly situated for exploring Dorset towns and the Jurassic coast. Attractions near by are Thomas Hardy cottage, Monkey World, the tank museum and Corfe Castle
  • Comfy, cosy, warm.

  • A lovely house, a great base for exploring the south coast. The place is nicely rural with empty lanes and farms nearby and a wonderful starlit dark sky.

    Lucy2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • My son and I and our two dogs spent two nights at the Coach House in early January and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Coach House is well-presented, comfortable and very cosy (especially with the wood-burning stove lit), and provided a perfect spot for exploring the area. Having a friendly and welcoming pub next door was ideal for evening meals and a drink without having to worry about driving. And the pub food was excellent. Roy was quick to respond to emails and to offer helpful advice. All in all, highly recommended.

Tolpuddle, famous for the Martyrs and founding of unions, In July there is a festival celebrating them. There is a museum telling their story, a visit to Dorchester will complete the story. Stay in a rural area. Views over farmland and off the beaten track. We get walkers, horse riders, birds and insects right on your doorstep. During harvesting and sowing times there is farm traffic. The hut is self contained with a separate shower and macerating toilet. My husband speaks fluent Spanish.
We are on a septic tank so I can supply shower essentials for the separate shower hut if you wish, with a macerating toilet and cold fill washbasin. All our water is from a private water supply on the local farm , it is hard water but tastes lovely. We are also on our way to reducing fossil fuel use with solar panels and air heat exchanger for hot water and heating in the house, so we are well on our way! Light breakfast can be provided if required, there is no cooking area but a bbq can be borrowed on request It is mainly very quiet here, just listen to the birdsong, the buzzing insects and let the world pass you by... But please note this is a rural area and at certain times there are increased tractor use and work in the fields, such as during ploughing, sowing and harvest.
Tolpuddle is a small, rural, friendly village, with a pub offering a good selection of food (The Martyrs). There are other pubs in the surrounding villages as well, please see my guide book. There is usually something on in the area at weekends, from Dorset knob throwing to Blandford Steam fair, if you wish to know either ask or I will be putting leaflets in the hut. There are many walks and rambles, birdwatching, the Jurassic coast and the Isle of Purbeck all within reach. From beaches to the Cerne Abbas giant, it’s all on our doorstep!
  • Nice quirky and different accommodation. Great overnight stay

    Brad2019-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • We would highly recommend a stay here. Bill was very pleasant and welcoming on arrival and gave us all the necessary information about the accommodation and facilities. We stayed here to attend a wedding reception in Athelhampton which is a short 20 minute walk away.

    Tim2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely hosts, picturesque area, quirky accomodation and fantastic light pollution free views of the stars. The toilet and shower facilities were excellent. The breakfast was welcome and more than adequate. This was a superb location to base ourselves when visiting Maiden Castle and the slightly risqué Cerne Abbas giant. The Shepherds hut was idyllic, and surprisingly spacious and comfortable.

    Lisa2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing location with lovely hosts, will definitely return if we can. Loved Rocky too.

    Sharon2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • This is a delightful place to stay. I was a bit hesitant about a "shepherd's hut" but any concerns quickly evaporated. I was warmly welcomed, shown the facilities and felt very at home. The three things I look for when i stay somewhere; a nice comfortable bed, hot shower and fresh air were all well provided. Its a nice quiet country location and a 10-15min walk to the nearest pub that serves good pub food. And the absence of a TV was a blessing, listen the birds, take a good book and enjoy. Your hosts are subtly available (not pushy and not totally absent like some hotels) and will warmly welcome you.

    Gordon2019-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful little spot for a night or two away. The hosts were lovely and accommodating, even recommending some local sights and a beautiful walk. Would definitely recommend staying and wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

East House, is in a Grade II listed home in the heart of the village of Piddletrentide in beautiful Dorset. We have used air bnb a lot in Italy when we moved to Tolpuddle we wanted to be hosts. We live in a grade II listed cottage with a new build garage in our 1/3 acre garden. The loft is a self contained room above the garage with views over the garden and countryside, it has sofas so you can look through the back window and admire the view. You can use seats in the garden and it has a fire pit at the bottom of the garden. The local pub Martyrs Arms does great food and is just over the road
The views from the loft space over the garden and countryside are so pretty. The village is pretty steeped in Tolpuddle Martyrs history but near to the Jurassic coast and its sights. The Airbnb is a lovely quiet place for you to relax and enjoy but very near a lot of interesting places the perfect spot for a weekend away
The village of Tolpuddle is beautiful steeped in Tolpuddle Martyrs history if you are interested. It’s also close to Dorchester, Weymouth, Corfe Castle, Swanage, Wareham and the Perbecks
  • Fabulous quirky place, beautiful views, great place for a couple. Barbara keeps in touch and nothing is too much. Lovely little touches like fresh breakfast to start the day. Would definitely be back 👍

The owner has thought of absolutely everything to make your stay enjoyable. Great base from which to explore. I would highly recommend taking a stroll to the local 'Thimble Inn' for a nice meal.

We're pleased to welcome you to our thatched cottage in a friendly village, in the heart of Dorset. We are in Hardy Country, close to the Jurassic Coast, the Isle of Purbeck and historical county town of Dorchester. In an attached annexe is our guest bedroom with a fabulous high ceiling and exposed timber beams. We hope you like thoughtful touches we've added to make it as restful as possible. Parking is on the driveway directly outside the guest room. Cats live with us in our home.
The guest bedroom in our cottage is light, airy and comfortable. It contains a large wardrobe (with shoe rack inside), a desk with lockable drawers and extra bed drawers to store all your possessions away. The private bathroom is located opposite the bedroom. There's a nice range of hot drinks available in the bedroom to make whenever you like, plenty of fresh towels and bedding. To help you explore Dorset, we have maps, guides and Rich - being a proper local - has some great ideas if you want to explore the lesser known parts of marvellous Dorset. We can cater for all sorts of dietary preferences and like to think our vegetarian and vegan breakfasts are a bit special, including loads of fresh fruit, super tasty bread and Kate's homemade cereals. All served in the kitchen. You can use the fridge in the kitchen to store any of your own food. The guest space in cottage annexe is very much part of our home, and we will share the front entrance and hallway.
Milborne St Andrew is a pretty village on the edge of an AONB. We have a village shop, Post Office, public house and attractive 11th century church. Located in open countryside between the historic Roman town of Dorchester and Georgian Blandford Forum, it's ideally situated to explore Hardy Country, as well as the Jurassic Coast. Visit Lawrence of Arabia's home at Cloud's Hill, Maiden Castle Iron Age Hillfort, Chesil Beach, the Tank Museum, Tolpuddle Martys Museum and Lulworth Cove; to mention but a few of Dorset's delights. The towns and beaches of Bournemouth and Poole are 18 miles away; a pleasant drive of about half an hour.
  • Kate and Rich are wonderful people and extremely welcoming. I was there for all of two days and it felt like home. Kate was on top of everything and went well beyond in every respect. Breakfast was to die for and beyond what I have seen even at the nicest of hotels. I honestly can't say enough nice things about the pair of them. Absolutely fantastic hosts in every regard.

    Stephen2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely cottage, so homely and friendly with lovely personal touches. Katie was a lovely host and nothing was too much trouble, very friendly and gave tips on where to visit. Breakfast was excellent especially the homemade granola and great choices of jams. Room and bathroom was very clean and spotless. Definitely recommend and look forward to staying again. Thank you

  • We had the pleasure of staying in Kate and Rich’s lovely cottage. The room is lovely, bright and comfy and comes with its own very clean and modern bathroom. Kate and Rich made us so welcome in their home and were always happy to help and suggest places to visit. The wonderful breakfasts were really appreciated and so yummy. There are many places to visit just a short drive from the cottage and some great walks in the surrounding area. All in all we had a wonderful time and would definitely consider coming back again.

The home offers female only guests a safe, secure and comfortable place to rest their head while visiting Dorset. The bathroom and toilet facilities are downstairs. Porridge is available otherwise Wetherspoons, Taste or Reloved in Dorchester provide a range of breakfast meals. There’s a yummy cafe and health food shop up the road near Godmanstone. The service is as outstanding as the food and drink. Access to Yeovil, Weymouth and Sherborne is straight forward. The X11 bus runs M-F only.
It’s a cosy home surrounded by livestock at the front and back of the house. The bedroom is light and spacious with a rail for hanging towels, a door hooks for jackets. The bed is comfy and the shower is powerful. My cats like to make guests feel welcome and will demand fuss and company. It’s part of their charm! There’s a few doorstops dotted around to prevent cat plucking. Whilst I try and keep a spotless house I cannot always promise you won’t find cat hair in places.
The community is friendly and welcoming.
  • A home away from home - I really enjoyed my stay here, Suzy-Anna is very welcoming and her adorable animals are a delight. The village is peaceful, with a good local pub, and there are wonderful views from the room, which is comfortable and cosy. Will definitely stay here again!

  • If you enjoy being welcomed and surrounded by furry hosts, you’re in for a treat. I was made really welcome in Suzy-Anna’s lovely home and introduced to an adorable Corgi and the fluffiest catsI’ve ever met. The joy of those guys aside, it’s just a lovely house, with such a nice feel to it. Suzy-Anna couldn’t do enough for me and a weekend away from home in the midst of a storm was made not only bearable but a real treat. 5 stars are not enough. Thank you

A top pub is a short walk away and there is absolute joy of being around her gorgeous pets. It felt like being in a home and not a short stay.

  • Suzy-Anna's hospitality and the house were beyond my expectations. Suzy-Anna is very warm and welcoming person and went extra mile to make me feel looked after. She's made sure all my needs are met including making me a special leaf tea and giving me a very helpful advice about places to visit locally. The house is stylishly decorated and perfectly clean even though Suzy-Anna has a dog and cats. They are adorable and a great company! The room is spacious with amazing view to a green field and the bed is super comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place! Thank you Suzy-Anna!

Self contained, self catering studio annex based in the county town of Dorchester. The towns amenities are all within short walking distance, including the new 'Brewery Square' development. Great base to explore Dorset's fabulous coast, countryside and walk in the footsteps of Thomas Hardy's Casterbridge. Motorbike friendly, high chair & travel cot available. Complimentary tea and coffee. Netflix TV.
The annex is situated in our garden but is separate from the house with it's own front door, so you will have privacy and the ability to come and go as you please. The annex is a prefect place for 2 adults to relax but there is also space to put up a travel cot (which we can supply). We can also supply a highchair. Patio doors lead to a private decking area with table and chairs. There are also steps leading down to our established south facing garden which guests are welcome to use. Guests are welcome to view and go inside our World War 2 concrete air raid bunker which can be found in the back garden. The annex is equipped with everything you should need for a relaxing stay. The annex is equipped with a fully functional kitchen with an integrated fridge freezer, combination microwave oven and 2 ring electric hob. There is also a separate shower room. If you need use of a washing machine/tumble drier, we would be happy for you to use ours. The annex has central heating which is linked to our house, but there is also an electric fire. We have a friendly cat named Polly who you may see around the garden!
Quiet location, found in central Dorchester in a tree lined Avenue. Close enough to central Dorchester but also close enough to beautiful walks and cycle routes.

  • Great place to stay in Dorchester. Lovely and clean. off road parking. Very helpful and friendly hosts. Lovely place to visit.

    Philip2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed here for a weekend with my wife and 9 month old baby and it was perfect for us. Darren & Wing had thought of everything and were so friendly and welcoming. We could tell they really care and appreciate the people who stay. Check in and check out was a breeze, they were there for both but had already advised us of what to do if they weren't. The place was lovely, absolutely immaculate and looked to have been decorated recently. Highchair and travel cot were available on request which was a nice touch! Everything we could have needed was available in the kitchen, with instructions available for the appliances if required. If you don't want to cook then you don't have to worry, as they had put together a guide of places to dine locally, whether it's eat out or takeaway. The location is ideal, about a 10 minute walk from Brewery Square where there's loads of places to eat and about 1 mile from Tesco. All in all had everything we needed so will definitely stay here again next time we are in the area.

  • The cottage is stunning and has everything you need for your time away. The cottage is lovely and warm and very cosy. We went on walks straight out from the cottage as it’s in such a lovely area. The tea shop just up the road is perfect for lunch and the owners were very kind in recommending local walks. We went to the local pub just a few steps up the road from the cottage on one of our evenings. Again they were very friendly and we had a lovely meal and would certainly recommend booking a meal. We couldn’t of wanted more from our stay and will certainly be booking to stay again.

  • Milton Abbas is unique and magical........steeped in history and sits in one of the most beautiful counties in the UK. Lars’s home gives you the perfect opportunity to be a part of that. A wonderfully cosy space, well appointed and immaculate. Lars was super helpful ahead of our arrival; very straightforward to get into the property and settle straight in. I’ll be back for sure! Thanks Lars. (Note.......there’s a great pub in the village but recommend checking early in the day if they’re serving food in the evening as we were un-successful in spite of the website advertising food service every evening. You’re in the sticks so be sure to have back up plans in the fridge!!)

    Simon2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Fabulous house, situated in the picture perfect village of Milton Abbas. Lars was great to communicate with, the house was immaculate and provided a perfect base for our few days away. Particularly enjoyed how warm is was, as the weather wasn't kind to us. We enjoyed a trip to the Tank Museum on the rainiest day, a windy picnic on beautiful Durdle Door beach and a classic british seaside trip to Swanage. Tea rooms in the village we lovely, really friendly and great with the kids. Would love to return. Thanks so much.

The cider shed is a cosy hideaway located in our garden/orchard in a unique peaceful setting. Whatever the season you will be sure of a lush green view with plenty garden birds to watch. The garden is completely private being enclosed on all sides by native hedging. Our house is in close proximity. A Continental Breakfast is provided. We are a short drive from Monkey World, Bovington Tank Museum and Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door.
The accommodation is warm, clean and compact with a small area of decking to the front. We offer WiFi, a Smart TV and a silent fridge. We have now added a bathroom for your own private use. A Breakfast Basket is provided (continental).
We are very rural off the beaten track. I would recommend that only guests with their own transport book as there is no public transport and the nearest railway station is Wool. Nearest village is Bere Regis 1.5 miles away which has a small shop and a couple of pubs. Wareham and Dorchester is less than 20 minutes away. Lulworth Cove is a 10 minute drive and Monkey World and Bovington Tank Museum are 5 minutes away.

  • Beautiful (and private) setting, very comfortable and great breakfast. We'll stay again.

    Nicola2019-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • Tina’s place is a lovely cosy shed surrounded by a beautiful garden! Tina is a great host, making sure that both the premises and herself can provide a pleasant stay at all times. During our stay we enjoyed the continental breakfast served every morning! Each day the breakfast is different and it is served in a beautiful way! The place is the perfect escape for an ideal weekend away! It is very quiet yet it has all the amenities you might need. The check out time is at 10am but Tina was happy to let us leave an hour later after we asked her.

The Bothy is a detached annexe located in south Dorset situated between towns of Poole and Dorchester. It is the perfect shortbreak getaway with good walking on your doorstep and with easy driving distance from the Purbeck Hills which include the beautiful Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove. The accommodation comprises of a entrance hall, Bed/sitting room and shower room, which includes Flat screen TV, Fridge, Microwave, Toaster and Tea & Coffee facilities.
  • The Bothy is spotlessly clean and well heated. (At the end of October that was important!) The bed is very comfortable and it was great to have a lounge area too. We felt very comfortable there. It’s well located for walks on the South Coast and for visiting local National Trust properties. The Tolpuddle Martyrs museum was also fascinating. Ray was extremely welcoming and gave us great tips for places to eat. We would highly recommend it.

  • Great place to stay; Ray was very accommodating and we had a wonderful weekend there

  • This place is exactly as you see in the photographs and it was absolutely perfect for us. Beautiful tranquil location and a comfy bed - we had some v good sleeps here! It’s great to stay somewhere with so many things provided - iron and hairdryer, tea, coffee etc which means you don’t have to bring everything with you. Also it’s useful to be able to have a simple breakfast at home and the facilities available to prepare picnics. Ray has really thought of everything you would need and more. We will definitely return!

There are also many National Trust properties and landmarks to explore.
We are situated in the rural heart of Dorset surrounded by natural beauty with the opportunity for wonderful walks and cycling adventures. We are approximately one mile from Milton Abbey and the Milton Abbey private school. We are 3 miles away from Bulbarrow Hill one of Dorset's highest points which overlooks the Blackmore Vale, and offers stunning views of Dorset, Somerset, Wiltshire and Devon. Close by is Bell Hill is one of the highest hills in the county of Dorset and a high point on the Wessex Ridgeway.
  • A small, but perfectly formed en-suite room with a fresh continental breakfast in the cosy lounge, this was excellent value for money. Richard and Tina were thoughtful hosts who also gave generously of their time to describe the area for us. Just what we wanted.

    Jean2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Warm welcome in a really nice house from a lovely couple. We had a great time in Milton Abbas. The breakfast was really good with view of birds just outside the window. The room is lovely and we slept very well. We recommend!

  • Richard and Tina are wonderful hosts who have created a lovely welcoming environment in their home. The cosy room has everything you need, plus the bed is very comfortable. The ensuite bathroom is also very well designed, all in all it's perfect. The breakfast is a lovely added bonus, a real treat. The village is exactly as described, chocolate box pretty houses and a scenic abbey to walk to. The stay is full of thoughtful touches and it's great to be able to get top tips about the area, I will definitely staying with Richard and Tina again.

  • Richard and Tina were fabulous hosts, there to meet me on arrival with parking right out side there home. The room was delightful, clean and spacious with an lovely en-suite bathroom. The breakfast spread in the morning was a real treat as well, with plenty of options, in a cosy setting. Thank you very much for my stay. Defiantly recommend.

  • Rich & Tina are a really lovely couple. Their home is cosy and welcoming. We stayed in the double ensuite which was really comfortable. It's a great place to stay if you want to explore the surrounding areas. Milton Abbas is very picturesque and has a great pub, The Hanbro Arms which does very good food. We would definitely stay again. It was a shame we couldn't have stayed for longer.

Welcome to the Trevally Room. We are Jess and Ash, and we have recently rebuilt our home 'Copperstones'. It really has been a labour of love, so we are excited to now be offering AirBNB in our spare bedrooms since spring 2019. We are located just 8 miles from Weymouth and the stunning Jurassic coastline. Dorchester itself is a friendly county town with a range of restaurants and bars, as well as fantastic transport links within walking distance of our home, to Bristol, Bath, London, etc.
The guest accommodation is all on the ground floor. The large double bedroom has a king-sized futon-style bed with extra-deep mattress, plenty of storage furniture, TV and tea-coffee making facilities. The interior decoration is classic yet modern, painted in calming Farrow and Ball colours. The main bathroom is next door to the bedroom and is for your exclusive use. Features include a large roll-top tin bath (definitely big enough for two!) and huge walk-in wet-room, along with a roll-top tin sink and toilet. Please note that there is a single step into the bathroom. There is also a cloakroom next door to your bathroom, containing an additional (shared) toilet. We supply a breakfast bag every morning of your stay, delivered to your room. This contains (for each person) a piece of fresh fruit, a bottle of fresh juice or breakfast smoothie, and a granola bar/yoghurt and granola pot/porridge pot or similar. Please note that this is not a self-catering listing. General access to our living room/kitchen/dining room is not included in your booking unless you would like to pay additional charges to dine with us - if so, please message us in advance of your stay to arrange. If you prefer something cooked in the morning, there are plenty of wonderful breakfast options in the nearby town (5-10 mins walk away). We can also recommend plenty of lovely eateries and local pubs, and your room will hold information about transport routes and things to do while you are in West Dorset. You can find all this information in advance of your stay in our ‘Copperstones Guidebook’, found within this listing. Please Note - At the time of writing this (December 2019) we are still in the process of landscaping the exterior of our property, including our front drive. This means that our outdoor spaces are not finished yet, so please be aware of this. We don't think they will impact negatively on your stay, particularly if you are coming to Dorset to get out and about and explore, or for work purposes. However, if you are wanting to simply laze about in a garden, we will not be your ideal choice. We feel it is important to be upfront with you about this. If you are unsure, please ask us. Your car can still be parked on our drive safely. If you are bringing more than one car, the roads outside our house offer free parking at all times.
Dorchester is a very up-and-coming county town, and the Brewery Square development offers some brilliant coffee shops, restaurants and bars. This is just a 5 minute walk away. From there you can also take the train to Weymouth which has a charming quay and long sandy beach, or the bus to Bridport, West Bay (home of the TV series Broadchurch) and Lyme Regis with it's windswept cob. We are in the heart of Hardy Country, with plenty of historic sights to visit, including Maumbury Rings (almost next door!), Maiden Castle, Thomas Hardy's cottage, Hardy's Monument, and the Cerne Abbas Giant. Train links can also take you to Poole, Bournemouth, Southampton, Bristol, Bath and beyond.
  • The venue was really amazing we love to spend lots of the time in the big bathroom! We fit both in the big bath tub that was really nice. Jess and Ash are very friendly and they thought about everything. Love to come back here

    Kim2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Jessies House was very comfortable and relaxing. They were very welcoming and helpful as soon as we got there and we very much enjoyed the added touches of the bath tub and the breakfast bag :).

    Faye2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Can’t recommend this place enough! Jess and Ash are brilliant hosts, friendly and welcoming and ready with helpful recommendations for meals out and sights to see in the local area. The house is absolutely stunning and the guest accommodation is to a very high standard. The bedroom is lovely, spacious and with a comfy bed. The bathroom was so amazing I could have happily lived in it! We were provided with breakfast bags each morning too, unusual for an air bnb and very gratefully received. Great location too, within easy walking distance from a variety of restaurants.

    Katie2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Jessie and Ash are the best hosts - really couldn't have asked for more, and hard to know where to begin in listing the virtues of this stay! Their home is truly beautiful, and the guest room is super clean, spacious, and really well equipped with a very comfy bed. Likewise the private bathroom and glorious bathtub!! Lots of thoughtful details included - they provided a breakfast bag of fruit, cereal bar and smoothie each morning too, and tweaked it for me, being vegan. Generous is the key word - and comes from Jessie and Ash themselves who are incredibly warm, welcoming and helpful and easy hosts. It's also a great, easy location, a few minutes walk from the train station and town, and a good base for sightseeing further afield too, even without transport. I could go on, but can't recommend highly enough - I hope to stay again, and thanks both for looking after me so well!

    Claire2019-11-23T00:00:00Z
  • Jess and Ash are absolutely the best hosts I have ever encountered with Air BnB. From the warm welcome to the small thoughtful breakfast bags, nothing was too much trouble. Then you look at the actual house and accommodation! It’s outstanding! Would definitely stay again.

    Karl2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice place to stay. Clean. Great hospitality. Stylish place. Highly recommended!

    Mohieb2019-11-08T00:00:00Z
  • Jessie and Ash are an amazing host . From the cleanliness and good fragrance that welcomes you to the extra luxurious comfort the room offers . The ambience is excellent and location very central. Their hospitality arguably the best I have experienced and they are too kind and resourceful. Jessie and Ash made Dorchester memorable and indeed I plan to re visit just to experience all these again . This was a 7 star hospitality and they comfortably thick all the boxes . Thank you Jessie and Ash for having me in your home 🤗

Cosy annexe, ideally situated in beautiful Dorset village. Very close to village pub, Milton Arms for great food & beer. So many attractions in this part of Dorset within easy reach: Poole Quay; Wareham; Corfe Castle; Swanage; Lulworth Cove to name but a few.
Private front door leading into open lounge area with kitchen. Kitchen has facility for cooking including microwave; grill & fridge. Large comfy sofa & TV. Bathroom with toilet & shower cubicle. Bedroom with double bed & wardrobe.
Village pub, Milton Arms is 50yds away - please respect our neighbours when coming back late from the pub. There is a village farm shop about a 10 min walk. Please note the pub is closed on Mondays. The nearest town is the Georgian town of Blandford Forum, which hosts a good range of shops, restaurants & pubs.
  • Lovely place to stay with all the amenities you need for a long weekend or week away, nearby to a country pub with fabulous food and a short distance from Gorcombe extreme sports. Dave & Alyson are really friendly, great hosts and very responsive , we arrived to a lovely little welcome hamper full of eggs, butter, bread and cereals. Would definitely stay again!

  • Wonderful stay with wonderful hosts - a great base if you want to explore Dorset

    Krystyna2019-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • Superb self contained property within easy reach of many many places of interest around the area. For a self contained and unattached annexe the overnight charges are, in my opinion, a bargain compared to many other similar air bnb properties of similar amenities and description. The unexpected touches of milk, tea, coffee, butter, bread and eggs were the icing on the cake. Loved every minute of our stay.

    John2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • David and Aly were great host, it was a pleasure staying at there place. Really carring. The place is nice and they did a good job with placing the furniture. It has everything you need. Upon arrival they even bought some basics like milk and bread for us. The place is very nice located, with lot’s to do closeby. And there’s a great pub accross the street. The only downside is that internet is not so strong there and because there’s no WiFi, it happens often that you don’t have internet access. For us was not a big deal and actually made that you’re less on your phone.
