Homely and cosy cottage in the Scottish Borders

DebbyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This place was an absolute delight from the moment we arrived. Cozy, spotless, and so thoughtfully put together — we were greeted with delicious treats, a bottle of wine, and a handwritten note that instantly made us feel welcome and cared for. The fireplace was warm and comforting (we spent most evenings curled up in front of it), and the whole space had a charm and personality you rarely find in short-term rentals. No generic IKEA furniture here — just a beautifully curated space that felt like a real home. Also loved the outdoor seating areas and wished we had gotten to use the outdoor fire pit! The kitchen was impressively well-equipped, which made it so easy to settle in and enjoy meals without missing a thing. Everything was clean, cozy, and clearly cared for. And Dean and Gina were helpful and responsive every step of the way. We’d come back in a heartbeat — and highly, highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and personal getaway.

The Garden House in the Heart of Hawick

AnnieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
On route I sent a message to the owner to confirm our arrival time. He ensured we knew where we were going and said to call him if we needed any direction. Once we arrived and got unpacked the owner came round to show us around and explain certain things such as the shower, kitchen appliances and hot tub. We brought 3 large dog with us and being able to let them run and chase the ball around the large enclosed garden was a blessing. Our dogs don't get on well with other dogs so this allowed us to relax stress free without worrying about other dogs. The garden house was clean and tidy and everything provided for including games, DVDs and lots of complimentary toiletries! We enjoyed breakfast with a cafetiere of coffee overlooking the beautiful scenery. The owner told us about some nice local walks by the river and a local cafe which we tried out. Overall we had a much needed lovely breakaway with our dogs who are all now completely tired out from chasing their ball all day long!

Craigiehall Temple (historic property built 1759)

CalebRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Gorgeous place! Very unique set up being a very old stone building which was exactly what we were looking for! They’ve done a great job of adding some modern amenities while keeping the original feel. While not immediately next to restaurants/activities, they are a short drive away. Very cool spot and perfect for our last night as it’s right by the airport. Would stay again!!

Idyllic Self Catering Studio Semi Rural Location

JoshuaRating, 5 stars6 days ago
This b and b is most beautifully located and the cutest place we’ve been! The hosts are so accommodating and kind. The b and b lead to a river with a stunning walk which was to die for. The town is beautiful and everyone was so kind. For someone who has never been to Scotland before, I definitely did not want to go home! The wildlife and peace was out of this world! I couldn’t recommend anywhere better to stay! Absolutely amazing!

Romantic Medieval Castle

AnthonyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This unique accommodation set on four levels so expect to regularly have to climb stairs which you will quickly grow accustomed to. The property was very clean, well thought out and very well equipped. The bed was really comfortable. The shower room (ground level) has underfloor heating and is very cosy and the shower is excellent and simple to operate. The location is peaceful and you can do the Tweed circular walk from the door which will take you in to Peebles where there are some decent restaurants, shops and bars. Thank you to our hosts - the welcome pack was very handy!
