I’m thrilled to invite you on my cultural tour of Pike Place Market! While many visitors flock to see the flying fish, locals and I cherish the market for its unique creative spirit and deep-rooted connection to Seattle's vibrant art and music scene. Come join me, a lifelong performing artist who practically grew up in this iconic market, for an intimate experience that weaves together music, art, and personal storytelling. • After meeting up at the famous wishing pig, we'll visit the mural featuring legendary artists like Artis the Spoonman and my father, Ron Bailey. I've got the inside scoop on the unique history and incredible stories that I'm so excited to share! You'll also get to hear about and from the local makers and artists whose booths fill the market. • I’ll take you to all the spots where buskers bring art to life, with incredible performers that do everything from playing upright pianos to juggling knives while spinning hoops. Don’t forget to bring some dollar bills if you'd like to tip this world class talent! • After sampling snacks from some of my favorite vendors, we’ll wrap up our tour at the stunning new rooftop garden, which has breathtaking views of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains. You’ll discover corners of Pike Place Market that few visitors experience, and you’ll leave with a deeper appreciation for what makes this place so special!

Join me, a street food chef and podcaster, for an exciting culinary journey in Frelard, where you’ll get a firsthand look at the kitchens, meet the chefs, and taste the flavors shaping the city’s next great dining destination. • Meet at Seattle Biscuit Co. to start our walk with a made-from-scratch biscuit and a behind-the-scenes lesson from its owner, Sam. • You’ll visit Outsider BBQ for an exclusive look at its underground smoker and a taste of its expertly crafted meats, and step into Hamdi’s private dining space for a sweet treat and optional cocktail pairing. • The night ends at Last Call Bar, where I’ll prepare a special dessert kottu just for this experience. You’ll leave with an insider’s perspective on Seattle’s rising food scene, and plenty of recommendations for your next great meal.

Chef Tour of Pike Place Market

We will take you on a culinary tasting adventure of Pike Place Market. We will be stopping at 9 different artisanal vendors; learning about local production and tasting your way through the flavors of the Northwest. Other things to note: The tour takes place rain or shine. Please email if you have dietary restrictions. Not all of our routes stop at the same places in Pike Place! We do book private tours for 9-16 people. Please direct message us to learn more. Gratuity is not included in the price. Our team also conducts a, more off the beaten path, tour on Fridays and Saturdays of South Lake Union. There are small bites over many stops and limited places to sit down. This experience requires a medium physical fitness level due to hills, stairs and uneven terrain. We do cover some distance and the market is crowded during the Summer. If you have to drive and park please leave a lot of extra time in the high season. The lots do fill up. Lastly, due to our tight schedule and wanting to show you as much of the market during a short time, we don't have time to shop during the tour. We encourage you to come back after the tour with your discount card to make purchases.

Tools include smoking guns, test tubes, shaker sets, etc. This experience has no dress code. As soon as you enter, you'll be handed a lab coat -- perfect as a pre-funk to your night out on the town. Also, feel free to just lounge around [with your drink in hand] in one of the wing-backed faux-leather chairs and enjoy the ambiance of being perched in a high-end market, above many award-winning businesses. The tour starts at Dahlia Bakery where you delight in the days fresh bake. We continue through cafés where you experience the "World Tour of drinking chocolates," along with small treats and samples of chocolate. We spend a portion of the tour in an Italian grocer where you sample a selection of some of the best chocolate bars in the world (and from right here in Seattle). The tour ends at a chocolatier's shop known for its elite quality and unique incorporation of flavors, including fruit, honey and booze.
