They showed us the apartment and even offered to walk us to the nearest lebensmittel (grocery store)! The apartment itself was clean and comfortable, and it had all the basics of what we needed, including extra towels, extra toilet paper, and extra paper towels. The kitchen was outfitted with the basics to help us to feel at home, and we cooked on the stove very easily. The bed was comfy enough for us, and the apartment's windows help to keep it well lit. We really appreciated how clean everything was! The location was good in terms of accessibility to trains and trams - about a 7-min. walk to an S-Bahn or a tram to get you down to the city, and about a 5-10 minute ride down to the center of town. It was *so* hot (35 c. / 95+ F) on our first two days, and there's no AC in the apartment, but the windows helped. It would be tough to keep almost any place cool in that heat. The apartment is on the top floor of a 5 or 6 story building (depending on whether you're a European or American), so be aware of this. All in all, we loved staying at Sophie's place. She and her boyfriend were so very friendly and welcoming that we'd not hesitate to return, provided they'd have us visit again.

Svetlana & Felix are the cutest host I've ever met!!! Svetlana is really friendly and helpful. They have done airbnb for a long time, so really, nothing to worry about this choice=). Also the restaurants she recommend are great! The location of the house is also excellent. just few minutes away from the tram station and there're plenty of places to go nearby. The room is just as the picture showed! I love the coziness and the style of the apartment. I got everything I need there, and it made me just like at home. Highly recommend!!

We chatted into the evening and Jens was the perfect host; funny, kind and a real source of global and local knowledge! Our room was absolutely beautiful! It was spacious and spotlessly clean. The wonderful log fire was a dream in December and added to the rustic beauty, general décor and feeling of the place. The bed was enormous and one of the most comfy beds we have ever slept in! Breakfast was another home cooked-home sourced wonder – absolutely delicious!! Jens also took us to see Burg Kriebstein, a stunning castle not far from the farm. It was so thoughtful of him to take time out of his day to show us and it was well worth the visit. We unfortunately could only stay for one night but we will definitely be back for one of Jens' cheese or basket making courses in the summer. Can’t recommend this place highly enough; wonderful host, superb home cooking and beautiful cosy room!

Immaculately clean and incredibly functional, it lived up to everything we expected in Germany. The main living area was comfortably furnished, and block-out blinds proved great for a late wake-up. A futon style bed proved a challenge for we older folk, especially getting out of it, but it was comfortable. The kitchen had everything needed to cook anything desired, and all appliances and utensils were of the highest quality. The bathroom was a reasonable size and included a washing machine, which is very handy when travelling for extended periods. The lovely old building has a lift which is most convenient when you have large and heavy suitcases. We loved the location. Tram #1 and #14 stopped 50 metres away and there are over half a dozen restaurants offering a variety of cuisines within 100 metres. Several supermarkets are within a 5 minute walk. The neighbourhood is nice and we felt very safe at all times. It is an easy and pleasant walk into the City centre. Communication with Alex throughout the booking process was a pleasure - lots of helpful information. He then met us on arrival and gave a thorough overview of the apartment's features.

Michael's apartment is a wonderful place to stay. The interior is very chique and spacious however you feel so comfortable and like at home. The bed is a heaven, haven't slept that well in a while! Also, Michael had not had time to arrange for cleaning after the last visitor, so it was a bit dusty and dirty bedlinen and towels were laying on the floor in the bath room, the bed was not made. Still, I think the apartment was really nice and I would recommend it to others. Michael and his girlfriend contacted us several times to make sure we were ok. I felt that the atmosphere in the apartment and the area was really relaxed and it felt good!

It is perfectly located, close to a tram and not to close to the street. It is well equipped and the living room offers exceptional entertainment center as well as a great leisure possibility on the huge couch. Mario has been kind to provide two keys for my girlfriend and me. Very important was Internet to us, as we had to work and his internet is extremly fast and stable. Also good to know that heating works perfectly weel, that you have a bath tub and that there is a possibility to park in front of the house, in case the other neighbours are not parking there. I must say: for Dresden, I would always recommend this place and prefer it to the Hotels in the price region up to 90 €. It's a reasonable prcing for what you get!

Everything went smoothly. The hosts are a very lovely couple, very accommodating and helpful. The apartment is in an interesting part of town with the tram one minute away. Takes about 15 minutes to get to the center of town. Leipzig is lovely. Parking is in a gated yard next to the apartment building.

After a long day exploring Leipzig and being able to relax in your own spa is pure luxury. The beds are nice and comfy. Cool, but gentrifying, neighbourhood where the old and new Leipzig blend together. Be sure to have a hotdog with a gin and tonic across the street at 'Beard Brothers'. For a romantic long diner have tapas with nice wines around the corner at 'La Cantina'. Michael is very friendly and always quick to respond in English. All in all a great place to stay, definitly coming back here again!

He was very kind and happy to answer any questions we had. He was also accommodating with the arrival time (we arrived quite late in the evening). I would definitely stay here again.

The apartment is lovely - the pictures don't do it justice! It is sunny, beautifully presented and comfortable. There is a full kitchen (good for us as we cooked for ourselves both nights). We really enjoyed the sauna as well. We definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a place to stay in Leipzig.

Michael is very knowledgable about the area which helped us a lot. The neighbourhood is fantastic, the people are extremely friendly and very laid back which was great. Plagwitz is a fascinating area. There is no need to cook as there are several excellent eateries very close by. Thank you very much Michael for a fantastic stay including the freebies - nice touch. Wonderful little apartment, with everything you need to feel at home. It does smell of cigarettes, but you're gona have to get used to this as everyone still smokes indoors in Leipzig. Very near to tram stations for getting around, as well as the canals and bars and restaurants up and down Zschochersche St. and Karl-Heine St. Tanya is also very helpful and relaxed. Would definitely recommend.

The furnishings were really comfortable and the rooms were warm. Plagwitz is a great place to stay if you want to explore the city, as there are lots of great places to eat out and cafes. Tanja's flat is also very close to a tram stop and a train station if you want to travel further afield.

Everything is clean and tidy. We loved having the space and Christine kindly let my daughter, who lives in Leipzig, stay there too most nights. It is 2 minutes from the tram stop which takes you to the centre of town. It isn't a place to be making elaborate meals, as the kitchen facilities are limited, but luckily we don't go on holiday to cook! There are lots of nice places to eat in Leipzig, and I would recommend the city and this charming apartment.

Christine was wonderful to deal with - clear directions, late arrival, gave us good recommendations. One thing to be aware of: you don't have a lot of privacy, as you sleep in a room with a huge wall of glass facing the yard, with only a thin sheer curtain. Additionally you need to walk through a common doorway to go to the bathroom. This wasn't a problem for us but could be for some. Still a 5 star place, highly recommended.

Christine was an excellent host and was available to answer any questions and give advice. We were able to travel easily using the trams which were frequent and accessible. The timetable was very accurate. If you want to be outside the city this is a great compromise. Take a walking tour of the city centre which also offers a hour long bus tour of the main attractions and you get a good idea of life in Leipzig. You must experience the Leipzig orchestra in its own splendid concert hall and the choir at St Thomas Church. The city is under going a huge amount of rebuilding and growth and modernisation. There is music of every kind and sports available in the red bull arena so look up before you go. When you arrive there is a local Aldi and a few local restaurants one street away.

It was quite nice and interesting to stay in Susanne´s place. it is quite convenient to get there from Dresden Hbf and in a quiet living area, the supermarket and restaurant are all in the walking distance, was great!

It was so cute, everything just perfect for a comfortable stay. It was hard to believe that everything we needed was there in that small of a space, they really thought of everything for cooking, relaxing and comfort! We asked about a good place to eat within walking distance and were thrilled with the restaurant that was recommended. A grocery store was also within walking distance; everything in a beautiful neighbourhood.

Even though we arrived late at night, it was no problem and Susanne´s husband Jurgen kindly showed us everything (including their cute rabbits:-)). The place was clean and warm. When we arrive Dresden, Jurgen drove and brought us to the flat, and enthusiastically introduced Dresden during his drive. The flat is clean and comfortable with reasonable price. The cottage was really cozy, warm and equipped with everything we need. I liked the neighborhood which is on an uphill and surrounded by trees. Very close to city center. My friend and I are so overwhelmed by the little details in the room, for instance the biscuits on our bed. Thanks to the convenient transportation, we can easily find the apartment and have a great time in the downtown. There are also some clubs around. It's a pity that we don't have more time here in Leipzig. At my next time, certainly I'm still gonna choose this one. We stayed at Hans place for a night. Hans was very easy to communicate & showed us his beautiful flat. His place is in the nature & it was very clean & beautifully designed. About 93 steps climbing to a very beautiful house with the most beautiful garden i have ever seen. Hans is a good host, giving us useful information. Emily2017-05-01T00:00:00ZWOW we were overwhelmed by how amazing Hans' place was! We've stayed in other Airnbnb's before and this really surpassed expectations. Set in a separate building behind the main house, it was on top of a hill overlooking Hans' beautiful, well-maintained property, grounds and the surrounding hills. The quality of the place was excellent - beautiful brushed concrete floors, exposed wooden ceiling beams, high quality appliances and furniture. The apartment is even better in person than the pictures. The large tub was a real treat - something you could only find in a 4-star hotel. There was also empty space in the closet and a completely clean, empty fridge - which really gave it the feel of staying at a vacation rental instead of just someone's apartment. The location was perfect for us as we were looking for a bit of a "country" get-away but still having access to a city. We came by train from Berlin to Cossebaude (the closest train station) and were met by Hans on the platform, who kindly picked us up and drove us to his place. After the first day, we decided to walk to/from the station, which was about 20-25 mins (we didn't mind). From Cossebaude to Dresden is only approx. 30 mins, and its possible to take either a bus or train through they only come about once an hour. If you are arriving by car, its even better and only a short drive into the centre of Dresden. Hans was very kind and generous to us! We only wish that we could speak more German. He was very helpful and obviously enjoyed hosting guests at his place. Wouldn't mind returning again and highly recommend it to anyone!
