If you are coming to Chalkida, to volunteer or for vacation, I highly recommend staying here! She is the loveliest person I have ever met. She helped me with any issues I had, including a visit to the hospital. The place is shared with three bedrooms but you still feel like you have your own privacy. I’m so happy I stayed here for my two month volunteer position.

My stay at Dimitra's place was amazing! Everything was even better and taken care of than I could have expected! Dimitra takes care of every single detail you can imagine in the house and anything related to your stay. The rooms are clean and tidy, with all the facilities you would expect. The sea can be seen on the balcony from the sea. The blue sky and white clouds, the air is very good, and it is very quiet at night. Christina's dad welcomed us and was very enthusiastic and gave suggestions around. Recommended.

Perfect location for exploring the Island of Evia. A very clean apartment with a sea view.

This is a great value studio flat right at the sea front. You can swim 10m from the front door. Christine is very good at responding to messages and made check in very easy. Her father gave us a home made cheese pie which was delicious. This is a second floor flat so there are some stairs. There are excellent boat trips from the harbour 10 minutes walk away which we definitely recommend if you like to swim at private beaches.

The apartment is a bit larger than it looks, as its room is quite large despite having only one bed. The location is good enough if you have a car as you find it easy to park and you have supermarkets and banks nearby. The center is also a short walk, about 20 minutes. The only disadvantage may be the pillow and mattress. I would go again.

A magnificent view and a functional and very complete equipment, well located because central in Eubee, close to all desired shops.

This apartment is awesome. You can find there everything you need for comfortable stay. Clean beds and sheets, aircondition, fast wi-fi, huge balcony. Eating dinner on balcony and looking at sea and all mountains on horizont is unforgetable. Fantastic view from balcony. I will repeat that one more time for anyone who doubghts: It's FANTASTIC [sic]. And it exeeded our expectations. Photo's can't convey these impressions. I will remember sea view and wonderfull sunsets for a long time for sure. We didn't wanted to leave. The host is very friendly, communication was quick and great. All the questions that we had were resolved quickly and smoothly. In ~50m nearby there is mini market and wonderful pasrty shop where you can enjoy icecream or home baking sweets. In ~500m nice beach cafe with amenities like sunbeds, umbrellas, drinks, snacks, etc. I definitely will recomend this place and hope to stay there again.

Great location. The view from the balcony is simply magical. Great host. Always in touch. Shop 50 meters from the house. Beach with sun loungers of 600 m. Everything you need for an excellent holiday is in the apartment. Products for the first time and water. Tea / coffee / sunflower oil / water.

I had a very nice time staying at Thanos' apartment! As described, it is really right in the middle of the centre, so an excelent location. I arrived on a Saturday evening, when the streets were maybe a little nosier than I expected, but that's normal for a Saturday after all and all of the other days it was as quiet as you can wish for a town like Chalkida. I wanted to do some work and the place was ideal for that: good internet connection and easy to go for a walk when you need a break, to the castle, the old bridge, a beach... The balcony is spacious and you have a beautiful view to the water and the mountains. The apartment was fully furnished with everything I needed. Linnen on the bed and towels were very clean and fresh. And Thanos checked in regularly to see if I had everything I needed. Check out was very flexible. So, I'm a happy traveller!

We enjoyed our stay at Thanasis' fabulous fully-equipped modern rooftop loft conveniently located in the center of Chalkida overlooking the old bridge over the strait and the sea. Beautiful view from the terrace, cool, quiet, airy, sunny space and super location within walking distance of all the best bars, cafes, restaurants and beach. Perfect romantic getaway.

The balcony can have the most beautiful views in the region. Although it was a studio apartment, it responded to all our needs. The bed doesn't squeak at all.

I recommend it to any visitor in the area.

Joanna's apartment is a real apartment, not an apartment. This has many advantages and very few disadvantages :) It is very cozy and well equipped for self-catering. You really have everything in the kitchen. All spices (and Joanna likes to cook), oil, vinegar, rice, flour, sugar, coffee, several teas, pots, pans, grater, knives, juicer, espresso pot, mocha pot and much more. Everything can and should be used. In this regard, nothing is left to be desired. The bathroom had a small tub and it is a bit cramped. My friend is very tall. The shower was a little too low for him. You also have to shower skillfully to avoid putting the entire bathroom under water. But it's warm, so everything dries quickly :) The bed is a bit narrow. I think it's 120 cm. We are slim, that was enough for us. For somewhat broader people or those who need a lot of space to sleep, you have to consider that. Joanna cleared part of her closet for us. If you travel with a lot of luggage, it could be a little tight. It has a lot of stuff and the cupboards are full. The air conditioning works very well. It is in the living room but cools the bedroom well, without blowing directly on the sleepers, which we found very good. We didn't use it much since the nights in September were a bit cooler. Many things in the apartment are part of real life and you can see that, which we found good and somehow at home, but you have to treat them with love and care. We spent many evenings on the balcony and ate there too. It was very cozy (I want to go back immediately))). The street in front of the balcony is relatively steep. Many people like to ride loud motorbikes and accelerate when going uphill. That could be loud. It didn't bother us a lot, but a little now and then. The nearest bakery is 100 meters away. The next supermarket 7 minutes on foot. There is a market in the city on Thursdays. Fantastic fruits and vegetables, very cheap. You cross the street to the water. It is a small bay with a shower and 2 umbrellas. Quite often I was alone there (what a luxury! !!) In the evenings the older women always come for a swim and a very sociable dog Aris. We have become friends :) The town is not spectacular. You can eat well and cheaply at the harbor, there is not much to see. The nature around is a dream. I can warmly recommend Joanna's apartment to anyone who feels good in real living spaces and doesn't need the latest and most modern. The price-performance ratio is great.

This villa was a great/practical landing pad during our expedition to Ritsona, but I imagine it’s especially lovely during the warmer months. All in all, a good stay.

Maristella's place is the perfect quiet get away! It had everything that we needed and was a close walk to the beach and to fantastic local restaurants. The larger city of Chalcis is also a short drive away. As hosts, Maristella and her husband George, provided us with nice little touches to make it feel more like home and were always available and communicative. As the listing notes, there is no Wifi but George let us know that they are planning to have this installed in March '19, as the lines of service improve. In any case, this was inconsequential, because we enjoyed getting away from tech connectivity for a few days! I would 100% recommend this place to anyone looking in the area. Thank you again!

A wonderful house with a well kept garden in a lovely area a few minutes walk from a traditional Greek fishing port sourounded by tavernas with some of the most amazing beaches you can ever wish to visit a few minutes drive away. Very close to Chalkida but with the feel of been in a village miles away of main town.

A nice large flat on the ground floor of a private house. The balcony has a view of the sea. Aircon is strong, and WIFi is reliable. It is comfortable for both a short and long stay. The hosts were very welcoming. I highly recommend it.

My husband and I spent 3 wonderful days in Chalkida. Many thanks to Baggelis for the hospitality and warm welcome !!! The house is wonderful, cozy, it has everything you need: dishes, a microwave, a washing machine, an iron, hot water at any time. Special thanks for the aromatic coffee !!! I want to note that the owners of the house are kept in perfect cleanliness, which is very pleasing. Baggelis found out for us the bus schedule to Prokopi and we managed to visit the Church of St. John the Russian. Baggelis House is definitely recommended, it is located quite close to the center and the owners are very sincere and hospitable people !!!

Menelaos' place is perfect for international travelers. The apartment is situated perfectly, very close to the beautiful boulevard and most of the sights and shops. Menelaos also leaves clear instructions on how to reach very nice sandy beaches and for example where the busses leave (which can be pretty unclear for foreigners otherwise). All in all a very pleasant stay, would definitely recommend!

I stayed (only) one week at Menelaos' place and wish I could have stayed much longer. Everything was perfect, from the place set up - very bright, clean and airy, to the location, right in the center of town and only a few minutes from the beach. With all the amenities you can wish for and very well equipped kitchen. I highly recommend it and I will definitely try to stay here if I come back.

The apartment is in very good condition and everything works correctly. It is exactly like in the photo. It has a community garden with tables and chairs. Nearby there are supermarkets, bars and restaurants. Communication with Dimitri was always fast and good.

Where do I start? Panagiota was the perfect host, an amazing advert for AirBnB. She did everything she could to make my visit memorable, from leaving local delicacies in the fridge and to not only guiding me about the best local restaurants but bringing me to them with her lovely family! The flat itself is very comfortable and well situated in a quiet residential area about 15 mins from downtown Helkida. Highly recommended.
