  • We stayed at Terry's place for 4 nights while we rode ATVs. This was our second time renting from Terry and we had great experiences both times. Its really nice to be able to access the trails from his land, the cabin was also great. We hope to be back soon.

  • Terry’s place is perfect for a quick getaway!

  • Really cute place!

    Alexis2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Terry's place is warm and inviting. The heaters warm the space well, and it was nice and cozy on a January night. He has a DVD player and TV with streaming options, solid Wifi, and a spacious kitchen to cook in. It's also incredibly clean. The hill to the cabin is steep, but my Kia Soul made it! You feel welcomed, and Terry stopped by to ensure that everything was perfect with my stay.

    Maggie2020-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • Terry was awesome as a host! The cabin was everything you’d want in a mountain cabin.. cozy, warm and remote. Perfect place to enjoy the Ozark mountains and have easy access to Fayetteville.

    Justin2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • A clean and quaint space close to outdoor activities! Terry was kind enough to give great suggestions and directions and was very inviting. We enjoyed exploring the propriety and the trails in the surrounding area.

Our remote cabin rests above the Little Mulberry Creek. It is a one-room cabin with full bathroom and kitchenette. But the cabin isn't the main reason to visit. Each season has it's own charm and beauty; come for the solitude and to immerse yourself in nature. Or visit for the abundance of outdoor activities. Kayaking, 6 miles to the Mulberry River. Bikers, HWY 215 and the Trans America Trail are right here . Hikers, the Ozark Highland Trail winds it's way just down the road.
Our remote cabin on the Little Mulberry is a quick 1.5 hour drive from Fayetteville or Ft. Smith and a 2.5 hour drive from Little Rock. It's a perfect getaway for a few days. Most of our guests visit the Glory Hole, Hawksbill Crag, and Lost Valley during their stay.
Our home and cabin are in a remote location in the Ozark National Forest. Its a perfect place to rest and enjoy the beauty.
  • Jill's place was great! Just as described. Loved the hiking recommendations!

    Selene2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • Jill’s place is definitely a cabin in the woods and is an amazing experience being off the grid and unplugged. If you’re looking for a cozy cabin nature getaway this is the place for you!

    Megan2019-11-22T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is the perfect get away from the city or a great detour on a road trip. I was able to spend a day in the Ozark National forest while staying here. The host provides excellent instructions to access the cabin.

    Anastasia2019-11-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great experience! It is very remote so be sure to follow Jills map and directions. A lot of beautiful scenery and lots to do within an hour of the cabin. We’re looking forward to returning

    Nicholas2019-11-09T00:00:00Z
  • Jill and Rex's cabin was exactly what my wife and I were looking for: an extremely remote cabin in the woods. It is everything that the pictures show. It's a cozy cabin in the woods that allows you to get away from the real world for a while. The whole weekend we were there, we had no cell service and no wifi, which was wonderful. I would highly recommend this stay to anyone who enjoys the outdoors. There are plenty of hiking opportunities nearby. The cabin was clean, and had everything we could have needed while we were there. Jill and Rex are also very friendly people.

    Matthew2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • If you’re planning on staying here, DO NOT expect to stay inside long! The scenery surrounding the cabin cannot be ignored. There is a beautiful creek within walking distance from the cabin-a must see. When it comes to sightseeing, trust the resources she provides. They will take you to places such as the Glory Hole and Whitaker’s Point-both must sees. All in all, for our first experience with AirB&B, it’s a place worth visiting again!

    Bailie2019-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • Deep in the Forest. Beautiful 😍

    Jerry2019-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • Jill & Rex were the perfect host. They gave us the best direction to the cabin because the connection in the area isn’t the best which is perfect for a getaway. Make sure you have a full tank because it is a pretty good drive from the main road. The road is a dirt road leading up to the cabin so make sure you have a SUV/ 4x4 vehicle. There was a lot of information in the cabin to let us know what to do in walking distance. We walked a short hike, and then was also walked to the water hole/ creek. The scenery was beautiful, and my group had a blast building a bonfire. We cook hot dogs on that fire too. It was a perfect night, and how could I forget about the 3 dogs that hung out with us at the cabin. Molly, Bill, and Nena were also perfect host with great manners. We didn’t want to leave them that’s how great they were. Thank you for a wonderful stay in your cabin, you guys were perfect host. I plan on returning some day. ⛰❤️🐾

Private solar powered primitive 'Top of the Buffalo' cabin in the Buffalo National River Headwaters surrounded by the Ozark National Forest in the center of the Upper Buffalo Mountain Bike Trails. Close to Hawksbill Crag/Whitaker Point, Upper Buffalo Wilderness, Horseshoe Canyon, Glory Hole, Lost Valley, Hailstone & Kings River Falls. Glorified camping w/o a tent. Use an outhouse and outdoor solar shower bag. Basic clean. Wood bunks. No beds/linens/blankets/pillows.Value is seclusion/location.
**** UPDATES**** The driveway was fixed in August 2019! AND there is a new Fisher Baby Bear woodstove in January 2020! The Top of the Buffalo Cabin was built with a very low carbon footprint. 95% of the wood used in construction was salvaged from local down trees after a devastating ice storm in 2009. Logs were gathered onsite and milled onsite for the building lumber. Stones for the foundation pillars were gathered from a local creek. The metal for the roof and siding along with the insulation material were reused from old chicken houses. And the windows and doors are all re-used from other buildings. Building design and construction techniques were based upon traditional Ozark practices, and minimal external energy was employed throughout the entire building process. There is a potable water tank in the loft of the cabin. The water tank is filled periodically from an excellent spring on the property, which is also used for our residence. The water flows from a spring by the creek into stainless steel tanks from which the water is pumped 300 vertical feet (via solar power) to the tank in the cabin loft from which it flows by gravity 6 feet to the sink below. So very low pressure. There is a solar shower bag which some guests use to shower, either by leaving it in the sun to heat or pouring in warm water. Please note that in the winter the water system may be completely frozen as the cabin is only heated by guests.
If you are looking for outdoor recreation, this area is perfect. World class hiking, mountain biking (right from the cabin door), rock climbing, and canoeing (in season), are all available. There are really good hikes on the Upper Buffalo Trails immediately accessible from the cabin. Then there is the very popular Whitaker Point/Hawksbill Crag hike--- beautiful but generally busy--- about 5 miles down the road. The Lost Valley hike in Boxley Valley is great. I really like the Buffalo River trail from the Ponca low water bridge to Steel Creek. It mostly meanders on the bluffs above the Buffalo River... out and back hike. One of the best which is adventurous, beautiful and challenging is Indian Creek/Eye of the Needle hike accessible from the Kyles Landing campground on the Buffalo. I have some favorite off the beaten path hikes in the Upper Buffalo Wilderness (just down the road) with exceptional visits to Native sites, waterfalls and remote forest requiring some orienteering as there are no complete direct trails to the adventure sites. If you are staying at the cabin, I will be glad to help with logistics and details. Oh, also Kings River Falls is a beautiful short hike (about 2 miles round trip) to a great waterfall swimming hole. It is a short drive from the cabin.... and many, many more. Just ask. ;)
  • this is a great cabin in a remote location, which provides its guests with a relaxing stay. there were some very nice touches, including string lights to set the mood and various games/activities. it does include utensils and other cooking supplies. it has toilet paper and paper towels, but i would suggest bringing your own. also very very close to Hawksbill Crag trailhead, which is a short but rewarding hike with a great lookout point. JUST TO CLARIFY: this cabin IS far from the main road. From highway 21, which maps will have you take if you’re coming from anywhere near Ponca, it will be a 14 mile drive on a rough dirt road. the first few miles has quite a bit of climbing, but it flattens out. we were able to make this drive in a 2 wheel drive sedan, even after it had just rained, so you don’t NEED 4wd, although it will make the drive easier. we DID however find an easier way to get there which requires you drive less on the dirt. it is off of highway 16. if coming from Ponca, it will be a longer drive, but a lot less distance on the dirt road. just something to note.

    Nathan2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • This place has so much intangible value: the forest noises, the fresh air, the lack of road noise, the sunsets, the beautiful buffalo creek, the stars. It was priceless. Go into your experience with an open mind and prepare to rejuvenated and transformed.

    Matthew2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Fun and secluded. We did the glory hole hike and it was awesome. Stayed out there with a 2 year old, 4 year old and two dogs. It was awesome.

Come and enjoy the nature of the Ozarks. We are located at the north end of scenic Highway 23 (Pig Trail). Mulberry river and some of the best rafting in the Ozarks is just 13 miles south. Trails from the cabin lead to Mill Creek OHV Trails and over 50 miles of riding opportunity. We are just a few feet from the Ozark National Forest with plenty of hunting and outdoor excursions available. The Cabin is 5 miles from Cherry Bend Recreation Area; a trail head of the Ozark Highland Trail.
This cabin is just under 500 sq. ft. but very comfortable and packed with amenities. Cable TV is available in both bedrooms as well as the living area. Great hospitality can always be expected! We also offer canoe and kayak rental with shuttle service to the White and Mulberry rivers. Our cabins are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected after each guest.
Papa Bear Cabin is located in Serenity Campground. Serenity is a small family owned and operated campground located in the midst of the Ozarks that is committed to customer service. Though the cabin is located in the area of the campground it is snuggled in the trees to give it that private feeling.
  • Kenny’s cabin was sparkling clean and smelled so good great location for riding atv’s very peaceful and quiet.

    Shawn2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was fantastic. And Kenny was very helpful.

    Rufus2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy cabin with thoughtful touches! We appreciated the snacks (poptarts and popcorn) and coffee. Would definitely stay here again.

    Kendra2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • If you’re looking for a breathtaking drive, (on Pig Trail scenic byway) that ends in a cozy cabin, with incredible night sky views, then this is the place for you! We loved the seclusion of the campground and proximity to the Ozark National Forest. Our dog loved exploring the grounds, and watching the other (extremely well behaved) dogs that live on site. We drove down the road a few miles and got Hooshburgers at Pig Trail Cafe, prepared by the owner, who was a delight! If we’re back in this area again, we will surely book here.

    Dani2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Kenny’s little cabin is perfect if you want an escape from the hustle & bustle of daily life. Fresh air, sparkling clean & a porch swing!

  • It was the perfect secluded getaway. If you want to truly get away from it all without sacrificing plumbing and a nice bed, this is the place for you. The kitchen was great, has most of the essentials. If you plan on using the oven bring a baking dish or some of the disposable aluminum dishes. We left behind measuring cups and spoons, other then that it was fully stocked. John was nice enough to provide coffee, creamer and even a basket of trail snacks and some water in the fridge. The place is absolutely wonderful, the view from the patio was amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We hope to visit again in the future. Thank you, John!

    Kat2020-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • John's place is awesome. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to 4x4 or hike. Clean and stocked. Great place in the middle of nowhere. Just what we needed.

    Jeremy2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • John's place was the perfect location truly in the heart of the Ozarks. Glory Hole waterfall hike was just 3 miles down the road and easy access to tons of other hikes. It was just me and my pup , but would love to visit again with a large group and take advantage of the space and the fire pit. Thanks for a great stay, John!

    Jenna2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy, well equipped cabin space to relax at and rest before or after venturing into the Ozarks for hiking and other activities! Cabin is located in easily accessible location, has kitchen equipped with the essentials, plenty of hot water, and a nice common space to relax with a good sized group! Had a blast and would recommend, just make sure to get groceries in Fayetteville or other nearby locations before venturing to location so you are stocked up

    Anthony2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Loved the back deck, such an awesome view and place to sip coffee and watch sunrise!

    Trevor2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was everything we expected and more! My husband and I visited for our anniversary weekend. We really enjoyed the location being located centrally to a lot of hiking trails! You Definitely need to make the trip to Whitaker point and glory hole falls, well worth the hikes! Went to jasper for lunch at the ozark cafe which was amazing and dinner at Kaspers in Clarksville was also delicious with a great dining experience! Is about 30 minutes to any town with restaurants and a grocery store, etc so come prepared to the cabin with what you need or be ready for a drive. The grill outside the cabin worked excellent! The bed is was comfy and there was a nice washer and dryer, which is a plus for me! I have ATT and we had cell service but ONLY at the cabin, it is almost non Existent when driving around the area so come prepared with physical maps and/or screen shots to And from locations from your google maps while you have service. It was a great experience and we would return!

Enjoy this cozy cabin nestled in the heart of the Ozarks on a 100 acre farm and 3 acre fishing pond. The parks may be closed, but you can enjoy the great outdoors in the secluded ozark mountains in the privacy of our own farm. All the perks of a national park can be sought along with the joys of living on a farm. Watch granny milk each morning and enjoy the butter, eggs, and meat grown right here.
We also host Lost Valley View Cabin, and with over 40, 5 star reviews, we make customer service our priority!
This spot is located on what was the original county road from Clarksville to Carroll County. It has been a road since before the civil war. It is a county maintained road up to the Lily Pad, but it no longer goes down the mountain ending at Boxley Valley. It also borders Lost Valley State Park, you are actually above it, and you can feel free to hike into Lost Valley, from the front door.
  • A very neat, cozy and comfortable place. Almost all the amenities listed were there and it made the trip even more helpful.. a quiet serene place that is aided by the wonderful hosts. Extremely clean indoors and very welcoming tail wagging guests named Leo and pearl 😁. Overall a great place for your weekend stay to unwind from all the stress of your life

  • This place was an absolutely amazing find with breathtaking views! Ronald was incredibly helpful during our entire trip and the level of hospitality was through the roof. I would also like to add that his mother who lives up the road from the cabin, was an absolute blessing to us. She helped supply tools when our truck battery died and we had to change it out. We were also able to enjoy the delicious farm fresh eggs as well as fresh New York Strips that were mouth watering. My husband and I look forward to returning again some day! Thank you so much for an unforgettable stay!

Charming country home, filled with light and comfort, located on the banks of the Little Buffalo River. Mountains, forest, and two waterways combine with natural landscaping to create a peaceful, natural setting! Located near Jasper, Arkansas and the Buffalo National River.
Beautiful, "quirky" home in the wooded mountains, along the Little Buffalo River, with access to hundreds of acres of hiking trails. Property borders the Ozark National Forest. Swimming in the river or creek is a bonus! Please note that we are "off-road". There's about 6 miles of dirt road to get here. AWD or 4WD not required, but it can be handy!
This is the quiet rural mountain community of Murray, population 38. Located in beautiful Newton County, Arkansas! Neighbors are friendly, but keep to themselves.
  • This place is a nature lover's dream! There are many porches to listen to the convergence of two creeks/rivers and watching wildlife. The house is cozy and quaint with entertainment rather it be with a book, board game or movie. It also has wifi for when you want to search an interesting fact about the area or plan out your day's travel. The host are very helpful and thoughtful! I highly recommend this getaway to anyone!

    Brian2019-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • The property is just beautiful! It is closer to the water than I imagined, which we loved. It is definitely off the grid....which is exactly what we were looking for. We enjoyed hiking the white loop trail right on the property. Many beautiful views on this hike but you do have to cross the creek several times, so bring waterproof boots or prepare to take your shoes off a lot! The house is cozy and clean and had everything we needed. Truly a piece of heaven. We will return.

    Beth2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Creek's End is a wonderful place to stay. A very secluded spot in the beautiful Ozarks. We loved the sound of the Little Buffalo River right beside the house. The home is roomy and cozy, just what we needed. We enjoyed hiking the trails when we were unable to cross the river because of high water (4-wheel drive or a pickup truck are not required, but we were reluctant to cross the high water in our SUV). I do recommend that you bring waterproof boots if you want to enjoy the experience even more! All in all, we loved Annie and Suzy's house and hope to visit again. Even better--it's their mom's house, so it has a great family feel to it. Loved our time there!

    Jan2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Creek's End was perfect! We felt at home as soon as we walked in the house. The house was clean and the hosts provided every amenity we could possibly need. Notes left around the house and the fresh cookies were added bonuses. The kitchen was our favorite spot but the decks with views of the creek and river were great as well. If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful, remote location, you will be hard pressed to find somewhere as unique and beautiful as Creek's End.

    Deborah2019-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • Way out in the woods as we hoped plus nicely furnished, super clean, everything you need is there, and the beauty outside is matched by original works of art inside.

    Wayne2019-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • This place is like a fairytale! If you are looking to truly get away and unplug, this is the perfect place! We loved being right on the creek and hearing the water while we sat outside and drank our coffee. The homemade cookies that were waiting on us when we arrived were amazing! We love this area. We come here to hike and soak up the beautiful scenery that Newton County has to offer. We are already planning a return trip.

    Tiffany2019-09-29T00:00:00Z

  • This was a great stay. The cabin was beautiful! I love the art, it was all very interesting. This was no typical woodsy cabin. It was lovely! Everything we needed to cook a delicious dinner was there to use. All we needed to bring was the food. We wanted for nothing. The bed was very comfortable. I LOVED the large jetted tub. It was a perfect romantic getaway. I can'twait to visit again.

Windings Stairs Retreat is located within 1 mile of the Boxley Valley and Buffalo National River and borders the National Park Service. There are no immediate neighbors and the view from the back porch is AMAZING! Elk frequent the area and are occasionally seen from the porches. Access is easy as the cabin is located only a few hundred yards from highway 21, but far enough away that you can’t see the road.
A great place for a couples retreat or a family vacation! The master bedroom is an open loft with a king sized bed and has its own private bathroom. There is a corner jacuzzi style tub (no jets) in the room with a large window that encompasses the view from the back. It’s the perfect place to unwind and watch the sunset! Both the master bedroom and the living area have a Roku tv along with a Netflix subscription. Outside the cabin, wrap around porches provide plenty of outdoor sitting or room for the kids to play. The front yard holds a small fire pit which is great for sharing stories and making s’mores! We are currently working on a much larger pit in the back yard! Renters should note that we keep two outside cats (mousers) on the property for rodent control. The cabin is surrounded by woods and without them we would have too many unwanted guests!!!
The cabin is centrally located in the Boxley area. Ponca and Kingston are both less than 10 minutes away where you can grab gas or a snack. Lost Valley, Hawksbill Crag, Ponca low water bridge, and Steele Creek are only a short drive! If you love to hunt, fish, float or hike, or simply need to get away, this is the place to do it!!!
  • Beautiful place, completely stocked kitchen, much nicer on the inside than I had expected. Also a great location for hitting some of the most popular trails in the area. Would definitely stay there again.

    Barry2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I enjoyed a great weekend getaway! The weather did not cooperate with us for all of the outdoor activities we planned, but rest assured that we still enjoyed relaxing in the cozy cabin. (There are a lot of nearby hiking trails if you don’t get rained out!) The kitchen was fully stocked with all of the cooking utensils you could need, and my husband enjoyed cooking on the gas grill out back. I was so tempted to take one of the kittens home with us — they were very sweet. There is no cell service, but the WiFi was quick and reliable. I would definitely stay here again!

    Kristen2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • This place is amazing! Super close to some of the best hiking spots and beautiful views. The house has everything you need in it and is super clean and up to date. We loved staying here and hope to again soon!

  • My husband and I just spent a couple of days around Valentines day and could not have asked for one more thing. The space is just as advertised, perfect! We were able to check in and out with out problem. The cabin was sparkling clean and had every little thing we could have needed. We will be excited to visit again when its warmer and enjoy the porch and hammock.

    Carol2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for a peaceful place to stay, this is it. The bed is very comfortable, the bathtub is amazing with a view, the deck and scenery are just a few things that make this cabin special. Nathan and Maggie were exceptional hosts. I cannot recommend this cabin enough.

    Lindsey2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting a quiet place to get away from it all.

    Casey2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • There are not enough stars to rate this amazing place! Check in was super easy, fresh flowers waiting for us, beautiful Christmas lights and a tree, a sweet handwritten note, and even chocolates as a gift for us for our anniversary! Maggie responded quickly if we ever needed anything. All the details were well thought out. Candles and bath bombs upstairs by the tub. And any little thing we normally have to bring to air bnb’s (I.e. bottle opener etc) they already thought of it. And SPEAKING OF bath tub... the view from the tub is amazing and was so peaceful for our trip. We also found great hiking trails nearby. This place was a dream for our anniversary getaway and was so much more than just a place to stay but really a much needed blessing for this stage in our life. Book this cabin!!

    Audrey2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is exactly as advertised, and the views are even better in person! The hosts are so helpful and made the checkin/checkout process quick and easy, they even supply a binder full of any questions about the cabin/activities in the area. We hiked to a beautiful waterfall nearby, saw amazing views from the buffalo river, and were even able to see the elk in the valley. If you want a secluded cabin with Mountain View’s, book this cabin. We cannot wait to book again.

Deep in the Arkansas Ozarks, nestled in rolling hills, is a working farm. Only 12 miles southeast of Hunstville, we are located at the crossroads of the Ozarks. Eureka Springs, Fayetteville, and Springdale are less than 45 minutes away. The scenic Buffalo River is just 18 miles over mountain roads. On the scenic porch weary travelers can listen to birds calling, horses neighing and deer whistling. For the more energetic, miles of hiking and riding trails, lie right outside the Schoolhouse door.
The Schoolhouse has a full kitchen and bath with everything you need. The bed is a double and all linens are provided.
The Schoolhouse is located six miles from the town of Kingston. Kingston is located at the intersection of Hwy 21 and Hwy 74. The community is located in the Kings River Valley. Kingston was platted in 1853 by King Johnson and named for him.
  • Our stay at Paula's Place was very relaxing. The old one-room school house was a perfect getaway for two retired teachers. There is a field across the road with several horses which made for some great photo opportunities. We enjoyed sitting on the deck listening the cattle lowing in the morning and hearing coyotes yip after dark. Our dog, Piper, was appreciative of the fact that most of the yard is fenced which gave her room to explore sans leash.

    David2019-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • Spectacular hosts! I would stay here again. Perfect if you need a weekend getaway to look at some stars and relax on a porch. Thank you for everything!

  • This place is awesome for the individual or couple that wants to just get away from the distractions of busy life. Its quiet, and fairly secluded yet you feel safe because the owners live down the dirt road and are very kind. There property is amazing and the photos don't do it justice! Its about 30 minutes to Ponca where all of the amazing hiking and floating and outdoor activities are, but you can honestly stay closer and enjoy everything this property offers. The owners were helpful in answering all of my questions before I arrived. You definitely want to take food with you because the closes grocery store is a bit of a drive!

  • This is a great place for anyone that enjoys off road activities, canoeing and being with friends and family. On the border of the national forest so lots to see. Landy does a great job with local information on trails and other activities. You also have access to a Willy’s Jeep if desired. You probably won’t get cell service but WiFi is available and there is no cable TV but plenty of movies. Had a great fire by the river and the full moonrise over the Mulberry river was spectacular! Basic furnishings and beds but the beds were very comfortable! Would highly recommend!

  • We really enjoyed our stay here! We’ve been thinking about getting a camper one day, and this was a fun way to see what it might be like. The place is located very close to the Buffalo and very easy to find. The property is serene and beautiful, with some cow friends. The trailer was very clean and had everything we needed! The only thing I’ll say if you’re not sure if you should stay here is this: the toilet room and shower are VERY small. We are short (5’3 and 5’7), and if we had been much bigger, we wouldn’t have been able to sit on the toilet! A wonderful stay—we wish we had had longer.

The kitchen is fully stocked so all you need to bring is your own food. Towels and linens are provided. The fireplace was to die for. This was the ideal weekend getaway! Just beware, the two queen beds are super squeaky. Other than that, the place is perfect!

  • This place is amazing! Can easily fit a whole family but it was just the two of us and we loved it. Plenty of access to beautiful trails and the house was nice and warm!

You will love the kitchen/dining area! Very spacious and well-lit with natural light from the large windows. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, creamer & sweetener available for you. Take a day trip to spend time tasting and touring five Arkansas wineries only 30 minutes away. Plan to eat at The Trellis Room while you’re at Post Family Winery – YOU WON’T REGRET IT! It’s the best “Farm-to-Table” restaurant around! As for the only two other restaurants close to our location, there’s The Burger Barn (8 miles away) and the historical Oark General Store (10 miles away), which is the oldest continually operated store/cafe in Arkansas. Or if you prefer to prepare your own meals, the kitchen is fully equipped with appliances, cookware, and utensils. Just bring your own food! During your stay, I’ll be more than happy to provide you with a home-cooked breakfast. And for a fee, I’ll be happy to make you lunch and supper too!
  • Once we walked through the door all of our worries and hustle and bustle of life just melted away. We couldn’t of asked for a better trip. Our kids and dogs were so happy and made life long memories. We can’t wait to go back! It was so beautiful at time it made you feel dizzy. Highly recommend! Tracy and John are incredible hosts & the breakfast is INCREDIBLE.

  • This place is where you go if you want to escape the high pace tech world and truly enjoy life the way it’s meant to be lived. Tracey and John are the most gracious and helpful couple I’ve likely ever met... we plan to visit again when the weather is warmer as this truly is a lovely place to stay.

    Erica2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • We couldn’t imagine a more comfortable and hospitable experience for a family getaway! We absolutely felt right at home. There were so many homey touches & little extras that went a long way. We LOVED the farm tour (cows, bluff views, & a cave!), yummy homemade breakfast delivered each morning, fishing & pedal boating in the pond, exploring around the property, swinging on the back deck, watching deer in the morning-it sure was hard to leave! We definitely hope to return and would recommend the Country Mountain Retreat to anyone wanting a relaxing and fun getaway in the beautiful Ozarks!

    Jessie2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved our stay! The home and hosts were very welcoming. It had everything we needed. Our 2 and 5 year old loved seeing the calves in February and appreciated the toys in the front room. The cozy bean bag in the front was also a hit with them! Tracy's cooking was so delicious too, the breakfast toasties & biscuits and gravy were our favorite! I definitely recommend this place for anyone wanting a cozy place to stay with great views and hikes within driving distance.

    Mandy2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Tracy has a lovely, warm country retreat! She is an excellent chef - the cinnamon rolls were delicious. The mountain scenery is breathtaking, and the livestock are just amazing. Seeing a new born calf stand and walk for the first time brings back the simplicity and appreciation of life. Hiking is incredible and a must see in the Ozarks! If you want to experience the natural state, please stay here and make memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you, Tracy, for allowing us to enjoy your retreat.

  • The Ozark’s hidden gem! Perfect location for hikes and enough amenities that you’ll think about not leaving and just enjoying the area directly around the house. Tracy and John were the best hosts I’ve ever dealt with. Extremely thoughtful and accommodating

    Gregory2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful place to stay. Large, private, extremely well kept house and grounds. Large enough for a big family, yet I did not feel at all overwhelmed as a solo traveler. Hosts were wonderful, taking me on a tour of the property - including some waterfalls and a meet and greet with some of their livestock (this is a working farm). Even brought me a delicious home-cooked breakfast. Highly recommend!

    Marie2020-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Tracy’s Airbnb was spectacular!!!!!! A group of us came down for a wedding and needed a cozy getaway the night before the wedding, this home was the perfect treat. Tracy was SO accommodating and there was plenty of space for us to all stay comfortably. I appreciated the quick communication and helpful tips from Tracy! We definitely would come back again!!!! This was the most beautiful place for a nice getaway.

  • I definitely recommend staying here! It’s secluded and has beautiful views. Judy and Hank were quick to respond to any questions that I had. They also gave detailed directions in case Imaps or google maps didn’t take us in the right direction.

    Hannah2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • What a great weekend! Hank and Judy’s camper was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for a weekend stay enjoying the beautiful fall Arkansas weather. Communication was exceptional and the camper was very well appointed. We will look forward to a return visit.

  • This is the cutest Rv I’ve stayed in right in the mountains! It was very well kept, very clean, sweet hosts, cute little adds that made it feel so homey. And the fire pit was great for the cold night and making s’mores! Would give a 10/10!

    Hunter2019-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was relaxing and very quiet. Having owned and used RVs in the past I must say this was top notch. Very clean and the bed was really comfortable, it was just what we needed after a long, long drive from Gallup, NM. Our host went above and beyond expectations by txt us from town asking if we need anything. He is very meticulous in the way he keeps the RV in it's appearance and cleanliness. I plan to visit the Ozarks again and hope that it will be available.

    Lin2019-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first time experience in RV and it exceeded my expectations. Hank was helpful in explaining Do’s and Don’ts on RV. RV was clean and didn’t feel short of anything compare to hotel stay. He even had camp fire pit ready with lot of logs. I would definitely recommend this place to stay. DO NOT RELY ON GOOGLE AND APPLE MAPS. Follow Host direction.

  • An amazing place to stay! Mary warmly welcomed us to Oark. My son, friends and I were traveling by bicycle on the NW portion of the Ozark High Country route from Adventure Cycling. Oark is a wonderful little stop and Mary's place is a wonderful place to stay. You can literally walk outside and right into the amazing Oark Cafe.

  • This is the perfect place to stay if you are wanting to relax and get away. We did several hikes in the area and then came back and relaxed in the comfy cottage. There is a cafe steps from the front door of the cottage where we enjoyed a delicious breakfast. Mary was a wonderful host and made us feel at home. She went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and welcome.

Cozy 1930's styled cabin located in the heart of The Natural State! Perfect for a relaxing escape from reality to enjoy peaceful nature! The cabin features a fully equipped kitchen, fireplace, living room, and 2 nature-themed bedrooms! The famous Catalpa Cafe is located right next door with delicious southern home-cookin' and homemade pies tat are to die for!
All of them! Unique 1930’s styled cozy country like cabin!
  • This cabin is great with the big front porch, fire pit, and all the inside amenities that you could possibly need (Katie has even thought of the extras like shampoo, bath wash etc.). We were surprised at how many movies and games were available and the gas heater quickly warms the whole house. We had some initial concerns about our dogs because the neighboring dogs were running around freely. This turned out not to be an issue as all the dogs were friendly and everyone got along. We always had an added companion or two around our fire and eventually named them "doggett" and "doggo." Katie and other renters have supplied a lot of information and maps on the local area, hiking opportunities (directions) and ATV riding trails. Based on our visit we happily suggest that visitors explore the Ozone Burger Barn, Glory Hole Falls, Lost Valley Trail, Whitaker Point, and Magnolia Falls. The combination of the front porch, fire pit, and creek make this cabin an excellent setting for relaxing in the evenings after a long day of hiking.

    Krysta2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Brought my boyfriend here for his 30th birthday weekend and enjoyed every bit of it ! The neighbor Roger was very nice and had two dogs that always greeted us .

    Selina2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is located 30 minutes away from Byrd’s outfitters and near plenty of hiking trails. My family and I went to Acord falls (only 20 minutes away) and Spyrock/Redding Loop (34 minutes away). As for the cabin itself, I especially loved the creek running through the yard! It was so peaceful sitting on the porch and drinking coffee. The location is perfect and the cabin had tons of character. I was initially worried about it being too cold since we had a cold snap the weekend I went (Nov 15th-17th). However I woke up at 3 am sweating. The gas fireplace REALLY heats up the cabin. Overall I had a great time. Plenty of movies and games to make up for no cell connection! We had tons of family bonding. Can’t wait to go back and check out more trails!

Deep in the Arkansas Ozarks, nestled in the hills, is a ranch. Only 12 miles southeast of Huntsville, we are located at the crossroads of the Ozarks. Eureka Springs, Fayetteville, and Springdale are less than 45 minutes away. The scenic Buffalo River is just 18 miles over mountain roads. On the scenic porch of this lovely cabin, the traveler can listen to birds calling, horses neighing and deer whistling. For the more energetic, miles of hiking and riding trails, lie right outside the door.
  • Amazing views, no distractions with modern day technology, so relaxing.

    Ashley2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful place to spend a romantic vacation! Secluded, cozy, and the hot tub was the perfect place to relax an enjoy the surrounding nature. They thought of everything as far as amenities, even down to the basic condiments in the refrigerator, firewood for the fire, and the bathrobes for the hot tub. Communication was great and Keith was always reachable just down the road. This was a vacation we’ll never forget.

    Robert2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Billy and Veronica’s place was very welcoming. The bunkhouse kept us very warm on cold rainy nights. The kids enjoyed watching movies on their nice TV. We loved the outdoor kitchen concept because it still felt like camping. The roads were easily accessible to nice scenic dirt roads for ATV riding. The best part of our trip was the chance to star gaze while hanging out by the campfire. Veronica and Billy went above and beyond. We left our jacket and hat there and they were so kind to send it back to us. We can’t thank them enough. We will definitely be back!

    Nit2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Billy and Veronica were more than welcoming when we arrived and very helpful. My friends and I took a weekend trip to go hiking nearby and this was the perfect place! • Loved our stay at The Bunkhouse! This is a real outdoors cabin experience. We put our boys up in a tent right next to the cabin for a couple nights and they LOVED IT. Waking up to see a few elk, cows & horses was purely awesome. Anything we asked for they accommodated. This couple was outstanding in hospitality. When you come bring your kitchen item needs it is an outdoor kitchen experience which we LOVED just make sure you bring what you need! We cooked out all the nights we stayed and had a blast. The local spots like the Buffalo National River was spectacular and beautiful. This cabin let’s you get the camping experience with luxury. I highly recommend and we will be back!

  • This home is quaint and has historical charm you just can’t get at a hotel. Beds are comfortable and home is very clean. Full kitchen made it easy to supplement restaurant meals at home instead of gas station snacks. Laundry room is fully equipped to wash those dirty clothes after a day of riding ATVs. We especially enjoyed the fire pit in the backyard complete with ready to burn firewood. I would highly recommend!

  • This home was very convenient to our attraction, Wilderness Rider. It was only about 5 miles and we rode our ATV’s over. We enjoyed going out onto the back deck to view the water falls and grilling. It was a Nice home tucked in the woods.

  • Don’t rely on google maps for directions! Rely on what D’Wana says!! Great place to stay! Lots of room and very comfortable. Close to all the nature that fills this area. Would definitely consider this place if staying in the area again. Very hospitable with all the little touches. Even fresh picked daffodils in the vase! Love the decor. Wish it had been drier and warmer weather for us to experience the outdoors more, but we enjoyed our stay.

  • This place is amazing. Our entire group of 16 people had a great time. Plenty of options to entertain Kids. Highly recommend.

  • Our group of 16 people (8 adults & 8 kids) just returned from Spring Break at Horsehead Lake. Everything was even better than I imagined. The property is beautiful, the views are spectacular, the houses were great and we had tons of space and privacy for our rambunctious and noisy group. Most of the kids stayed in bunkhouse where there are 4 built in twin bunks, a pullout sofa and lots of comfortable cots. The adult couples each had their own bedrooms and there is a loft in the main house with 2 more twin beds and lots of space for extra cots. Our group never felt crowded and we had plenty of space. There is an abundance of activities like boating (kayak, canoe, paddleboat and more), fishing (we caught a few), volleyball, basketball, horseshoes, pingpong, cornhole, and a spectacular bocce ball area where the men spent most of their time. We hung out around the firepit which is close to the main house and bunkhouse. Scott provides plenty of firewood and there are lots of outdoor chairs for you to use. We drank coffee on the front porch with the lake view in the morning and would hangout on the dock at night under the moonlight. It was magical! Our group cooked all of our meals in Scott's well stocked kitchen. If you have a large group like ours, then I'd reccomend bringing extra plates and eating utensils. We were thankful for the 2nd refrigerator in the small cabin since we had tons of food. You need to bring bottles and gallon jugs of water for drinking and cooking (for instance coffee, boiling pasta, etc) because the property uses well water which can have an unpleasant smell. Scott was friendly, easy to communicate with and was always available if we had questions or needed something. I highly reccomend this place and I would be happy to stay there again!

  • What a great place to relax and play with the family! Volleyball, bocce, ping pong, kayaks, fishing, hikes, & a beautiful location. Scott is extremely hospitable and responsive. We enjoyed ourselves!

  • Scott was great. He provided a great place for a fun weekend getaway!! He helped us a lot when the weather was being uncooperative!!

    James2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Scott's place is beautiful. 3 cabins that allow for a variety of people to sleep. About 25 min from civilization, which is perfect. This cabin is also located right on Horsehead Lake, and he has all the river amenities you'd need: fishing pole, kayak, boat, life jackets, etc. This place felt very homey.

    Logan2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for a place to get away that has everything for a group to have fun this place is perfect! We had a group of 8 adults and 6 kids and had PLENTY of room. The cabins are not only very nice but the host went out of his way to make our stay fun and comfortable. Tons of entertainment outside. The lake is beautiful and perfect swimming place for kids. The cabin was clean, comfortable and even had some food items stocked since the store is 30 minutes out. If I could rate this place 10 stars I would.
