Places to stay in Olga
Escape to beautiful Orcas Island and relax in the Buck Bay Getaway, which is 100 feet away from the shoreline with views of the San Juan Islands. See the wildlife and smell the fresh ocean air.
The Getaway has just been fully renovated on the interior, with the exterior renovation planned in 2021. It's one of those places that are simple on the exterior, but incredible on the interior. It features a fully stocked kitchen, one bedroom with a queen bed, an expansive deck just steps from the beach and a bathroom with a shower and bathtub. All linens and towels are included, free wifi, a Smart TV, so bring your user names and passwords. Plenty of blankets are available for cold nights on the deck or bonfires on the beach. Please no pets. This is a one bedroom space for no more than two people.
Buck Bay Getaway is located close to state parks and hiking trails in the picturesque town of Olga, Washington, on Orcas Island. Buck Bay is just steps away from The Getaway with appearances of Bald Eagles, Canada Geese, Blacktail Deer, golden sunsets and ferries traveling to and from the San Juan Islands. Downtown Eastsound is just 8 miles away, with an abundance of shopping for souvenirs, a movie theater with the latest movies, a grocery store and restaurants to suit any taste. Doe Bay Resort and Retreat is 3.2 miles away, with a general store, organic restaurant and soaking tubs overlooking Otter Bay; Rosario Resort and Spa is located 5.2 miles away with a general store, bar and grill, cozy lounge and fine dining restaurant.
  • I can't say enough great things about Toni & Buck Bay Getaway! I can't say what it looked like before the remodel - as this was our first time visiting, but I'll tell you it was decorated so nicely and it felt so fresh and clean. The bed is also extremely comfortable! Toni was so sweet and offered us oysters upon arrival and stayed in touch during our visit incase we needed anything! Turbo (their sweet cat) also welcomed us and kept us company. If this is your first time visiting the island or you've been here before, this is the place to stay! Toni will give you all the tips and tricks on the best places to visit and see, and the view of the bay is absolutely incredible!

  • We will return again and again! The location is perfect. Steps away from their seafood shop where we sat outdoors eating fresh crab, amazing ceviche and house smoked fish while sipping wine and taking in the view of Buck Bay. Other nights we steamed their clams in their perfectly appointed kitchen. Toni even shares a dozen fresh eggs. Beds were super comfortable. Toni was super warm and welcoming and introduced us to all that Orcas has to offer. Buck Bay is a great location. Just a few miles from Doe Point that has a Thursday open mic, great cuisine and outdoor hot tubs and sauna open until 10 pm. Also close to hiking at Moran and Obstruction Pass. We had a fantastic experience.

  • Great location, facility, and value.

    Kevin2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic place to unwind and unplug on Orcas. Very quiet with an amazing view. Recommending shucking fresh oysters next door.

  • It’s hard to say anything negative and easy to say everything positive about our stay. The house has everything you need to be comfortable and to feel like your home. The restaurant on the shellfish farm allows you to enjoy some fresh local treats. Toni was super great giving tips and having quick responses to any questions. Turbo killer, the friendly cat, on the farm was super sweet and amusing. My favorite part was the daily views of the bay and also the comfy bed. I highly recommend the Buck Bay Getaway. I most likely will return and I was holding back tears as I was leaving. Thanks again Toni 😊

  • Great hospitality, accommodations, food, view and location. Very relaxing, great hiking and gorgeous weather!

  • This was our second stay at Buckbay, after our first incredible experience we could not wait to come back. Our second trip was everything that we hoped for, comfortable, clean and inviting. The house was stock with extra blankets, toiletries and extra kitchen necessities, to make our stay feel more like home and to help us cook and prepare our meals. Besides the comfortable lodging, you absolutely cannot beat the view and the proximity to the oysters, delicious! We enjoyed oysters, prawns and smoked salmon during our stay, Toni and Mark are fantastic host, Toni also provides excellent advice for what to do and what to see on the island as well. We hope to come back year after year, Buckbay is truly a gem and our stay was everything that we knew it would be again. Thank you so much Toni!

    Elizabeth2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at the guest house (the Getaway was under repair) was terrific! Toni is a great host -- so friendly, accommodating and accessible. We really appreciated her tips of what to do on the island. Despite how busy she is running the shellfish farm, she took time to give us a tour and was always around to answer questions. The seafood was delicious. The house is fully equipped and in a great location with a stunning view. It was a great introduction for us to the Pacific Northwest. Thanks Toni!

  • This is an absolute gem of find. I highly recommend a stay at this cabin. It has all of the comforts of home with the added luxury of being somewhere new and exciting. The location is nice in that it’s private but still accessible to some of the best island activities. We will absolutely consider another visit and are excited to share this experience with friends and family.

    Emma2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is very nicely situated just a short drive down the road from Moran State Park, where we spent most of our time while on the island. The cabin has a well stocked kitchen and included some complementary tea. Laundry worked great, and we had no trouble letting ourselves in using the keybox. Ann was very responsive and got back to all our questions promptly. It was great to find a pack n play as well as cots and sleeping pads to accommodate a variety of sleeping arrangements for families. The board games and puzzles were a nice touch.

    Evan2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful location near trails, and public beaches. It was super quiet and private. It felt like we were in the middle of the woods. It was a perfect home base for our Island adventure.

  • Very nice place, clean, quiet, and beautiful.

    Samuel2019-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • The Olga cabin is a beautiful home. Very clean and ultra quiet. Deer visit regularly and the grounds are well kept. Beds were comfortable, cozy linens, fluffy towels and a fireplace! We played scrabble and enjoyed one another, void of modern distractions. We will definitely be back next year.

    Hether2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean, comfortable and good location. The master was very comfortable, but the third bedroom has a small bed, good for a child or small adult.

    Susan2019-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • This is a huge space with so much privacy. It’s surrounded by wooded areas and is just off a main road into town which makes it easily accessible. The fire pit is wonderful- located in the front yard with lovely chairs to enjoy. Great value for the amount of space you get!

  • Wonderful spot right on the water. We fell asleep listening to the waves rock against the shore.

    Ryan2019-12-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time on Orcas Island, the location of the cabin is fabulous. Tucked away with amazing views, the hot tub is great and we could not have asked for a better 4 day weekend. Would love to go back, the cabin is exactly as advertised. Carol Jo is a great host with lots of local tips!

    Fergal2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful beautiful place. Lovely views of the Sound and a great beach. Good location on the island, close to many activities. Lovely!

    Brendan2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • One of the most perfect spots on the island. The serenity when I step out onto the deck here is something I have found nowhere else. I was able to walk to breakfast at the Catkin and take the dogs to the nature preserve! It is such a gift to stay on this end of the island.

    Staci2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Carol's place is amazing. The pictures don't do it justice. It was absolutely perfect. We also asked for an early check in and everyone worked hard to make that happen. We really appreciated the hospitality and local tips! We plan to come back soon.

    Kaja2019-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay. It was peaceful and homey. Felt at home. Loved the location to Catkins cafe and Moran State park. Wonderful water view and loved the deck outside. We will be back!

    Lori2019-06-02T00:00:00Z
  • Carol Jo's presence was so warm and welcoming. The view of the San Juans through the big picture window, the other windows, and from the deck is incredible! The locale is wonderfully quiet - we could hear the gentle lapping of waves on the beach, birds everywhere (including eagles and hummingbirds), and even the splashing of a seal and an otter. The proximity to Moran State Park was a special treat; we drove/hiked to the lookout tower three times during our stay to take-in the 360 degree view, including getting up early one morning to watch the sun rise over the mountains and the Sound: breathtaking! Highly recomend!

    Paul2019-03-30T00:00:00Z
  • A perfect little getaway! The view from the house and hot tub was stunning! Delightful cafe down the street and Carol Jo gave us excellent recommendations for places in town. She was an absolutely fantastic host and we would love to stay again sometime. One of the most comfortable beds we’ve ever had at an Airbnb. The house was the perfect size for us and our infant.

ROMANTIC WATERFRONT VACATION RENTAL COTTAGE ON ORCAS ISLAND. HOT TUB, TOO! When you're looking for a romantic getaway with that special someone, Orcas Island's Paris Cottage may be just what you envision. This waterfront vacation rental home will delight your senses with its interior warmth and beautiful natural setting. It features southwest views through a wall of windows in the living room and a private sand and gravel beach just across the street.
( If you bring a kayak, the beach is a great launching site.) The surrounding scenery is mesmerizing in all seasons. No doubt you will spot the eagle that makes his home in a nearby tree as he awaits the salmon that enter the creek running into the bay. Canadian geese will entertain you as they flock in 2 1/2 acres of nearby farmland and fields, and you might bring a carrot for the neighbor's horses who graze next door. But the bird life, sailboat and ferry traffic, vistas over Lopez Island and Cattle Point, sunsets reflecting off the Olympic Mountains are just the beginning of the pleasure you’ll find staying at Paris Cottage. Inside, you’ll relish the special warmth of cozy spaces. There are fine linens on a antique queen bed (with brand new mattress) and comfortable down-filled seating. The dining room is like a greenhouse, surrounded by windows overlooking the countryside. Through a narrow doorway you’ll find the bathroom offering a small shower and Italian sink along with bamboo towels. There’s a flat screen HD/TV with satellite reception and a DVD. French doors lead outside where you’ll relax in a screened alcove shaded with parasols, or on a deck with a double chaise and privacy screen. At day's end you can soak away the cares of elsewhere in the hot tub. Paris, France is known as the “City of Light” - the “Island of Starlight” is Paris Cottage on beautiful Orcas Island. Paris Cottage is in the quiet hamlet of Olga, a 20 minutes drive from Eastsound Village and a 45 minute drive from the ferry dock. You’ll pass through spectacular Moran State Park on the way, where you will likely want to return for hiking and swimming. Buck Bay Shellfish farm is a family run business that is within walking distance of the home where they have a wonderful array of seafood to purchase and a café to enjoy a meal or two. The Garden House is a lovely living space located above an artist studio on 6 waterfront acres. Light-filled, with cathedral ceilings and dormers, the Garden House has a combined kitchen and sitting room with hide-a-bed, a private bedroom, and a bathroom with shower.
The Garden House is maintained with an intention to minimize toxicity in operations: it is kept dander free, laundry soaps are organic and odor-free, sheets are 100% cotton (mostly flannel). Seasonal flowers in the garden are available for guest-picked bouquets. The pottery studio is available for tours, conversation and hands-on clay exploration. There is an extensive and eclectic library. The intentional absence of a flat screen encourages guests to explore non-digital experiences. Please read the house manual and "the neighborhood" (see below) for helpful information.
Doe Bay Resort is less than a minute's drive; they have an excellent cafe, a small store and serve as a launch area for Shearwater Kayak trips. The Catkin Cafe and Artworks are in Olga, about 5 minutes west from the Garden House. I recommend you download a comprehensive list of available restaurants so you can plan meals out (and make reservations), particularly during peak periods like summer and weekends. A one-page summary of all dining choices on the island is available in the Garden House, provided by the Orcas Island Chamber of Commerce (go to the chamber's web site and look for the "Dining Guide" link. • Very peaceful stay on Orcas, and great hospitality for communication and local insights.

  • Lovely cozy home in a peaceful wooded setting. We really enjoyed the beauty of the house which featured classic Northwest design and Joe’s gorgeous crystal glaze pottery, and incorporated locally sourced wood. Joe was an attentive host, providing extensive information to make our stay comfortable and fun. The house is close to Moran State Park which is great for hiking and sightseeing, especially from the top of Mt. Constitution. The house is also around the corner from Doe Bay Resort whose spa is accessible via day pass. Would definitely stay again and recommend this place to others.

    Susan2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect place to stay and is extremely thoughtfully managed. Has everything you need!

    Cameron2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Joe place is nice and peaceful. Very quiet and relaxing. Wood stove was an excellent addition especially with cold and rainy days.

    Nikolai2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • A very clean and beautiful cottage that is very close to the state park and a short path to the shore. The cottage is very comfortable and has all the appliances we needed to cook with. Also Joe was a great host providing great tips for the area and making sure we had no problems with the ferry.

    Cory2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cozy clean cabin with all the amenities you could need.

    Emma2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Joe proved to be an extremely kind and responsive host who accommodated me when the circumstances in my life turned dire.

    Sher2020-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place to stay on Orcas and Joe is a welcoming and helpful host. The house is in an ideal location for hiking in Moran and Obstruction Pass parks and right down the road from Doe Bay. If you are willing to take a steep hike behind the house, there is a beautiful view of the landscape near the water. Definitely recommended!

Enjoy the sunrise and East Sound views from the deck, the sofa and even the comfortable queen size bed in this lovely studio cottage. All fully updated with new appliances, quartz counter tops, tile bathroom, new flooring. The sofa makes into a twin bed for an additional guest.
  • Beautiful view, cute and cozy space. A bit of road traffic below, but not too disturbing. The host made check in seamless and the space is lovely.

    Charlotte2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • The place was great. It had a wonderful view of the sound and was close to town. The host added a thoughtful card and gift which was very much appreciated. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to come back.

  • This cottage was very cute and the perfect space for us to celebrate our anniversary. We lucked out on the weather so the view was incredible.

    Lance2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage is an absolute gem! Every square inch is perfect, modern, and clean. The views of the water and mountains are incredible. I might recommend bringing a sleeping eye mask if you’re sensitive to light since there is so much natural light in the cottage (a big plus, but we were glad to have our eye masks for sleeping in). Location is great, right near Eastsound and a short drive from the ferry terminal. I appreciated how safe we felt in the cottage and that there was very easy and private parking right outside. Had everything we needed for cooking dinner, which was also an added bonus! Will definitely be returning soon. :)

  • Clean and close to Eastsound, so convenient to walk which seems rare in the area! Location is great so that nothing on the island is far away. Balcony great for sitting outside and getting some yoga/reading in!

  • I loved both the house and Jan the host. The house is spotlessly clean, nicely furnished with quality furnishings that are both comfortable and stylish, and is stocked with lots of eco friendly products from the soaps and shampoos to the laundry and dish soaps. The deck is fantastic - whether sitting in the sun reading a book or looking up at the stars with a glass of wine. The house is walkable to Moran State Park and Rosario Resort and an easy drive to Eastsound. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

    Trini2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • The property is very new and totally spotless. We had a wonderful time walking down the hill to the Rosario resort and drove a quick 5 minutes to the trail heads at the summit of mt. constitution. This home is in the perfect location for those wanting to explore Orcas!

    Cassandre2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This lovely home is in a beautiful secluded area near Cascade Lake which you can walk to from the house. Its also very convenient to Moran State Park with its beautiful hiking trails and vistas. The view from the top of Mt Constitution is not to be missed! We appreciated how clean and beautifully furnished this home is. Beautiful amenities and furnishings. Our host was quick to respond and very hospitable. We can't wait to return!

  • This is a beautiful, tranquil place to stay on Orcas Island. I enjoyed my time here immensely!

  • Perfect escape from the craziness of the mainland! You can sit on the deck and watch deer grazing continuously. A few stops at the market and you’ll not have to leave again!

    AnnMarie2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful house.

    Kyle2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • A group of women friends and I rented Jan’s house for a fun Winter get-away. The house is absolutely beautiful and full of light! As a designer I appreciate the style and comfort of the furniture, the tasteful textiles, and the very fine art. When you see an interior this nice you know much thought went into every detail! The house is well equipped with all the basics for cooking. We decided to explore the local food scene for lunch and dinner but enjoyed leisurely mornings sipping coffee and tea with delicious pastries from Brown Bear Bakery. Each day we were off hiking nearby trails to Cascade Lake, shopping in Eastsound, or relaxing at the Spa at Rosario. This location is fantastic. So near to the best Orcas has to offer! Jan is a terrific host who is prompt with communication. She is very knowledgeable about places to eat amazing local food and unique shops to explore. We loved Darvill’s Bookshop & Material Wit. We had such a wonderful time we are already planning to return!

Heating is electric (separate controls for each floor) and a cozy wood stove (with wood included) downstairs. Covered parking in carport (extra parking for one extra vehicle if needed).
Orcas is a wonderful island located in Northern Puget Sound. It is part of the San Juan Island Chain. These islands can only be reached by ferry. Animal life abounds including Eagles and Orca Whales. Our home is located on the southeast part of the island between Olga and Doe Bay Resort (just two miles away).
  • Mike and Lisa’s place is the perfect oasis!! Every inch of the space is thoughtful, cozy and welcoming. And then of course the view from the deck is breathtaking. Close to Rosario Resort, Moran State park, and the Doe Bay Cafe!! We had the perfect weekend and will definitely be back!!

  • Enchanting and serene. We were lucky to stay here

    Steve2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Incredible views from the bedroom and main floor, we woke up to rainbows over the ocean and bald eagles flying by. It was spectacular and magical. The drive up to the airbnb was a bit scary and steep for me, and we felt grateful to have 4-wheel drive during a rainstorm. We built a lovely fire in the evening, and the bed was extremely comfortable. We cooked several meals, but the kitchen leaves a little to be desired regarding space and amenities. Overall I would definitely recommend!

    Olivia2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a wonderful stay at James and Lisa's home. The view was amazing, especially from upstairs. The unit is fully detached from the main house and we never saw another soul while we were there except for the deer that usually greeted us on our drive in. It was so peaceful and quiet. There are two entryways to the unit, making it very easy to unload and load up our car. The bed was comfortable, and there's a second bed upstairs that seems to be a Tempurpedic bed if you prefer a different level of softness to the main bed. I was also pleased that the water pressure in the shower was nice and strong. The mini kitchen is small but well stocked with kitchen supplies. Although tucked away in a secluded spot, this Airbnb was a close drive to nearby hikes, a coffee shop, and the Doe Bay restaurant which is amazing. Also, it's only about a 20 minute drive to get back to Eastsound and the drive was beautiful each time we did it. We hope to come back! Thank you!!

  • We loved staying here! There view is outstanding, and the house is clean and comfortable.

    Sarah2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • We really loved this place! The views are amazing and the house was super clean and cozy! Definitely recommend!

    Sheana2020-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • This place is fantastic. Great views, a private space, and a gigantic bed to wake up to the sunrise over the sound.

    Ryan2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Mike and Lisa’s bungalow can be described nothing less than a gem on Orcas Island with its breathtaking scenic views from both up and downstairs areas, an extremely comfy king sized bed, and wood fire place where we cozied up to after an afternoon downtown. We fell in love with this place and wished we could have stay longer. Thank you so much Mike and Lisa, we couldn’t have been happier with our stay!

  • Could not love this waterfront cabin more! Had a great bonfire. Beds were super comfy. Lots of thoughtful touches. Scenery is top notch. Easy drive to town. Dreaming of going back!

  • Cozy waterfront cabin. Loved it!

    Sara2019-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Very quaint, natural setting on a beautiful, quiet beach/bay. If you like to “go back in time to a simpler time”, but with simple, modern touches, this will prob work for you. We stayed in a waterfront cabin, which was simply decorated, but clean, with a comfy bed, kitchen, loved the natural wood of the interior, and the wood stove! We were glad to have electric heat as well though, bc getting the small wood stove to hold a fire was a challenge. Not sure if bc stove too small, the wood too large, or we couldn’t figure out the damper? It would have helped to have that marked (air control), how to use, on the stove itself. We enjoyed having cheese, crackers, wine (easily obtained from town of Eastsound a few minutes away, but the resort store seemed to have a decent selection, too) and a campfire outside overlooking the water. Beautiful! Would have loved to use the outdoor grill for steaks, fresh local fish, but we didn’t have time-Next time! We saw bald eagles, otters, seals, lots of gulls. Be careful driving around the island- lots of slow moving deer along the road, crossing roads, especially at dusk/night. A unique, quiet, serene, therapeutic spot; a great base for exploring a beautiful island! And very romantic as well, with sunsets over the water.

    Marjorie2019-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • This was the perfect place to decompress and get away from the city for a few days. The location is prime, and since it's on the west end of island we were sheltered from the windy bits we experienced throughout the island. The sunset was gorgeous and the experience of having a fire pit a few feet from front door of cabin was delightful. The staff was quite friendly and provided all the amenities we could need. They provided us with extra blankets and a hair dryer at the office/store/cafe. The cabin itself was quite quaint, with enough room for two -three people. It is on the smaller side, but wasn't uncomfortable. The water got nice and hot in the shower. They provide nice papaya shampoo, conditioner and soap. If you have long hair I would recommend bringing your own conditioner to tame your hair as the water is a bit hard. It was a great experience and I highly recommend!

  • This is the kind of place that immediately gives a sense of deja vu, as if your grandparents brought you here. It’s quaint in the best way. Nothing shabby, nothing so new that it looks out of place. The property is beautiful and peaceful. I didn’t want to leave.

  • West Beach Resort is absolutely lovely. We came in December so 90% of the island was in its offseason. We didn't use any of the amenities but had a wonderful time regardless, the staff was friendly and the cabin was clean and cozy and just what we needed for a simple overnight stay.

  • Alma and Jeremiah’s cottage is a real gem — cozy, extremely comfortable, well equipped, great location, with a lot of homey touches. We enjoyed sitting by the wood stove listening to music and eating our dinner. The cottage is right in town, but feels lovely and private. The plants made the place especially beautiful! Alma and Jeremiah were easy to communicate with and left a guestbook with great recommendations. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

  • Cute cottage and quiet. Really nice touches and earthy feel. Peaceful. About 10minutes from the ferry. We happened to come during off peak season so everything on the island was closed except the supermarket and coffee shop. If you are looking for a quiet place to getaway for a weekend, this is a nice spot.

    Maral2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • Garden Cottage B was a little slice of heaven on earth! With its central location, we walked everywhere we wanted to go, coffee, bookshop, grocery store, gallery, Setsunai and Haven. Of course we got the car keys out to explore Watmough, Point Colville and Iceburg Point. So beautiful. Thank you very much Alma and Jeremiah. We can’t wait to come back.

  • Great little cabin in a stunningly beautiful location. Staff was friendly and helpful. Only negative was the wifi. It was essentially unusable, and there was very spotty cell reception, so plan on disconnecting while you're there. But that's not always a bad thing.

Read first: Per our HOA, we can only rent our house to one party per month, thus once we get a confirmation, the rest of the month will be blocked out. So don't miss out :) Perched on a rock above the water, on Humfrey Head. The house feels like it's nested in trees, putting you eye to eye with eagles. No houses on the far shore, so at night there is only darkness, short of the moon, stars and the lights from a passing ferry boat. It's truly an amazing view, day and night. A very special house.
The house is designed to accommodate someone with limited mobility. From the parking spot, there is a long bridge over the rocks to the front door. The master bathroom has a large easy access shower. All living is on one level.
You can find everything you need on Lopez. There are a couple of restaurants, grocery stores, farmers market, gas, veterinarian and a medical clinic run by UW Medicine. Throughout the island, you will find amazing hikes and beaches. It would be very hard to get bored on Lopez Island. But if you do, it’s so easy to do inner island travel via ferry. Try hiking Mt Constitution on Orcas Island or going to Friday Harbor for restaurants and shopping. If feeling adventures, hop a ferry in Anacortes to Vancouver, Canada for tea at the Empress Hotel. We leave you with plenty of handouts and tips of where to go on the island and beyond. Because most businesses close by 7 pm, we make sure you have snacks and breakfast available upon your arrival.

Spring is on its way in the San Juans. The daffodils are almost open. Wake up overlooking the pond with a cup of coffee in bed or on your deck. There is plenty of light from overhead to table and bedside lighting. After a shower, using Aveda bath products, go explore our wonderful island. We are near the ferry landing and a great grocery store to pick up snacks or a bottle of wine. You’re off to visit our Main Street listed in Country Living Magazine as one of the country's best Main Streets.
A lovely large bedroom sitting room, loveseat, leather club chair, eating/computer table with two chairs. Recently added a meditation cushion to keep up your practice. Mini frig, coffee tea set up and microwave. The top of the refrigerator is ample space for small food prep. Also there is heat in your sleeping and bath room. When going out and returning after dark be sure to turn your porch light on. There is a small metal garbage can outside your door for overflow. When you are ready to check out please leave bed as it is. Place towels in shower. Thank you.
You will pass Killebrew lake as you approach White Beach. People often boat, take a dip or fish here. There is a grocery Orcas Village Store as you leave the ferry. They have a great selection of take out, cheeses etc. The Orcas Hotel has good coffee.
  • Karen's home was so lovely. The guest suite was entirely private -- private entrance just for us, with access to the pond, the firepit (for s'mores), etc. Felt like the cozy, warm, tucked-in-the-woods cabin we were looking for. The coffee and cereal made such a huge difference for us in the mornings. Plus Karen was even kind enough to help me navigate the ferry schedule and looked for dinner reservations for us. Thank you so much Karen, the bed, the bathroom, the whole experience was so lovely and beautiful! Wish we could've stayed longer.

    Madeleine2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Couldn’t be happier with my stay. Karen is super nice and thought of everything!

    Andy2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Karen’s little spot was perfect. It was a little off the beaters path which made the experience even better. The space is comfortable and cozy and quaint. And Karen was super happy to help and made us feel very welcomed. She takes the dishes for you, left milk and granola, a little espresso machine, and all the stuff we needed for s’mores to use at a nice fire pit in the back. If you’re in the fence about where to stay...stay here!

    Monia2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Karen is hands down one of the best hosts I've ever dealt with. She's extremely thoughtful and a great communicator. You can tell that she's put a lot of care into the Creekside Cottage and making it a great place to stay. From the incredible linen sheets to the plush high-end towels, to the deep-sinking carpeting, everything is well done and feels high end. The private entrance with french doors overlooking the pond is nothing short of magical - multiple deer wandered past the doors. This was the perfect place to relax, get off the grid, and slow down my pace. I'd highly recommend the Creekside Cottage if you're staying on Orcas.

  • Fabulous setting, chic and comfortable space, spotless-everything you would want for a stellar experience!

    Jean2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a zen oasis!!! The attention to detail and comfort is off the charts. We enjoyed a fire in the evening and early morning while watching deer calmly move through the property. The space is very private and well maintained. REALLY thoughtful added touches such as s’mores and amazing coffee machine. George and Karen were incredibly attentive and kind in their interactions with us. We would stay there again in a heartbeat!!

    Dana2019-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Really really excellent! It was perfect for our needs. Clean, beautiful, and Karen was wonderful! The only drawback is that it is a but far away from things, but still very much worth it!

    Marcé2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • This cozy sanctuary was exactly what my husband and I were hoping for. The relaxing space was so quiet, all you could hear was the birds songs. Black-tailed deer strolled around the property and it truly felt like a Disney movie! We relaxed around the campfire every night and enjoyed our Nespresso coffee next to our private pond every morning. We didn't want to leave!

We have a cafe that's usually open on weekends, the world renowned Willows Inn, Saturday Market (in season) and a small convenience store. There are also many artists who have studios that love visitors, massage therapists and small farms, some with farmstands.
  • Absolutely amazing space! This is by far the best experience I’ve had at an AirBnb - Jackie was very responsive and check-in was easy. The apartment itself is breathtaking. The view and bathtub were my favorite. We will definitely be back on the island soon!

    Lily2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • This place was so beautiful! It is beyond amazing and is a great get away. The bed was comfortable and the views made me forget about the everyday stress we all experience. Like the other reviews state you should bring your own groceries onto the island if you plan on utilizing the great kitchen. Book this listing you won’t regret it!

  • I cannot recommend enough, this place is a dream. The views are stunning, the place is spacious, has everything you could need and is perfect for a rejuvenating, relaxing week or weekend getaway. Upon entering the Eagle's Nest, the fireplace was on, the aromatherapy was going and there were chocolate surprises sprinkled throughout the room. The view from every window was breathtaking. I spent the week reading, doing art, hiking around the island and soaking in the views from the bathtub and living room. There is an eagle that greeted me each day which added to the experience. I hope to come back again every year for this slice of heaven.

  • It was a wonderful place to spend much needed R&R with our family.

  • Wonderful experience! The hosts truly define what Superhosts should be. We felt they were looking for opportunities to go the extra mile for us.

  • Me and my friends had an very great time at this place. It was really cute and comfortable, located next to the water. We’ve enjoyed the hot tub and the terrasse. Brent was present, helpful. The communication was really good. I recommend this guest suite ! Thanks for hosting us and your kindness :)

    Charlotte2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is warm and clean and full of light. The bed is extra comfy and the kitchen very well appointed. Hot tub is a bonus! And the location can’t be beat.

    Bonnie2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • This beach house is incredible! It’s clean and decorated beautifully. Brent and Shelly had snacks waiting for us upon arrival along with towels, robes, bathroom essentials, etc. Everything we could have needed was there for us! The views of the ocean from the suite are breathtaking - the best view to wake up to. Lummi Island is peaceful and charming. We loved spending the day exploring the island and walking the beach. At night, we enjoyed sitting on the private beach and warming up by the fire (chopped wood was graciously provided!). The hot tub just outside the door was the icing on top of a perfect day. I only wish we could have stayed longer. I will definitely be back! Thank you Brent & Shelly!

  • Great and incredibly quiet place to retreat to. The location is one of a kind, with water surrounding the location, bird watching being a must (even if it’s not your thing). You’ll be hard pressed to think of something you might need that hasn’t already been provided. Hosts are wonderful people. Highly recommend this!

    Jason2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • This location is absolutely beautiful, the views from the bed to the kitchen are just breath taking and my girlfriend and I spent the weekend in awe. Brent and Shelly where quick to reply and very helpful! The welcome booklet included everything one would need to know.

  • This place is awesome! Such a great location, beautiful views and a very cozy space. The kitchen is very well stocked, which we appreciate a lot. We would love to come back and bring our bikes next time to explore the island.

A cozy cottage steps from the Orcas Island ferry terminal. Perfect as a home base to explore the San Juans or a place to relax and watch the boats come and go in the harbor.
Sarah Jane's Cottage is a versatile space, perfect for a romantic getaway for two, or for a group looking to explore Orcas or all of the San Juan Islands. The house comes with a king bed along with a couch that pulls out into a bed. No matter whether you just want to crash in the cottage at the end of a long day of adventures or sit on the deck and watch the ferries come and go, Sarah Jane's is a cozy cottage with a gorgeous view of the water. The space is great for a two, for a couple with children, or for a group of 3 or 4 adults who plan to spend most of their time exploring the island or outside on the deck overlooking the water. What makes the cottage so special is the location. When you get off the ferry, you're at your private parking space in moments. You're within walking distance of everything you need - a restaurant, gift shops, a small grocery store, and transportation rentals. If you want to visit any of the other islands the Washington State Ferry system services, you can just walk down the hill to the ferry terminal and walk on to any of the inter-island ferries for free. I believe in honesty and making sure guests know what to expect. Over the course of the last year, feedback from guests has encouraged me to make sure future guests are aware of three things: (1) the plumbing at the landing is all quite aged and as such the water pressure does leave a bit to be desired in the shower, (2) while our address is technically in Eastsound, we are about a 15 minute drive from the main core of the village, and (3) there is no full kitchen in the cottage so there is a limitation on cooking. If your vision for your trip includes elaborate meals made where you stay, Sarah Jane's might not be the right fit for you.
If it is your first time staying, you will have no trouble finding us! Just look out the window as you approach Orcas... we're the blue cottages just up the hill to the left of the ferry dock! Within walking distance, we have a wonderful market where you can buy groceries, coffee, pre-made sandwiches and pizza, household essentials, beer, wine, or liquor. Be warned: their breakfast burritos are pretty addictive. Also nearby is the Cottage Gift Shop. It is full of fun souvenirs and surprises - their selection of Orcas paraphernalia is unrivaled. The historic Orcas Hotel is just across the street. The view from their charming cafe is beautiful and the food at both the cafe and Octavia's Bistro is delicious! If you're looking to go on a kayking adventure, Orcas Outdoor Kayak Adventures leaves from the dock of our property. Orcas Outdoors can also provide bicycle rentals through Wildlife Cycles. Just up the street, across from the Orcas Hotel, is a recent addition to the Orcas Landing family: Boat House Cider Works. Their ciders, slushies, and snacks are a great way to spend an afternoon or evening (and their view rocks). Champagne Champagne is "an irreverent natural wine temple by the sea" that is open late and soon they'll be opening their restaurant as well! For access to boutiques, yoga studios, museums, theaters, and more restaurants, Eastsound is a short (but beautiful) 8-mile drive away.
  • Second time stay and plan to make it an annual visit. Host is very helpful and accommodating for check in time and providing anything else you may need. A must stay in Orcas:)

    Tyler2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah Jane’s cottage is absolutely wonderful! You wake up with an incredible view each day, it’s a cozy space, and the location is as good as any. Perfect launch pad for a few day stay around orcas.

    Julian2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • It is a fabulous space!

    Heather2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing spot. Cozy, literally next to the water and the sunrise is beyond words. Island itself is mostly for those who like to get away and hike or walk trails. I loved coming here. Definitely have recommended it to friends and family!

  • We had such a great weekend in Orcas! Beautiful views to watch the ferries come and go! :)

    Marley2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary at this cottage. The view can't be beat. The bed was incredibly comfortable with great pillows and sheets. Rebecca gave us great tips on some things to do locally on Orca's Island. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the ferries come and go. Everything we had from the market at the ferry dock was amazing! Probably the best scones we have ever had, great sandwiches, and anything you need. We enjoyed all the little touches at the cottage, games, puzzles, good coffee. Thank you so much for making our anniversary getaway wonderful!! Hopefully we will be able to make it back!

    Amanda2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this spot! What a cool view and a nice big deck to enjoy. Waking up to sunrise over the ocean is pretty unbeatable! We were met in person and shown around by Rebecca who was very quick to communicate and let us check in early once she was done cleaning. The bed is huge and so comfortable and the space outside is perfect for enjoying meals. We did cook in the small kitchen space, but don’t expect to be making anything too complex. It was great to have the option of a stove. Make some pasta, but since it isn’t a full kitchen washing lots of dishes isn’t ideal in the bathroom. Would recommend getting picnic bits from the local shop and enjoying on the deck! It was a good spot to be based to explore the island, be at an early ferry and walk to both beaches, and restaurants/cafes/shops.

    Holly2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing stay at Sarah Jane's Cottage. Every amenity imaginable was available for us, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the view was spectacular. We can't wait to return.

  • We enjoyed our first time on Orcas so much in large part thanks to Becca's hospitality. The little touches, like labeling where everything was, were incredibly helpful and made it perfectly relaxing. All the recommendations were great. We look forward to coming back again—hopefully this summer!

  • Right next to the ferry dock and a great view!

    Bradley2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • The perfect getaway, and the perfect spot if you’re alone or a couple. Other than being in town, you can’t get much better location wise, and the views will leave you speechless in the mornings and at sunset. Rebecca was an amazing host, and goes out of her way to welcome you when you check in. Very cozy spot and will be back!

  • The space was so lovely and had everything we needed for an amazing weekend on Orcas. The location is great, the views are unreal and local tips were top-notch! There was nothing we wanted and didn't have during our stay! Would love to stay again on my next trip to Orcas!

    Erin2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • our stay was amazing! becca was amazingly hospitable in meeting us, telling us the story of the cottages, giving us tips, and including all of the little touches in the cottage that made us feel so welcome (hand warmers, blankets, eco-friendly toiletries - thank goodness for the toothpaste that we had run out of!). i wish we had been able to stay longer! the internet worked perfectly for two of us taking work video calls, for future reference for anyone else who will do a workcation from the cottages. :) we saw some amazing stars the second night when the rain cleared up, and the reclining chairs on the deck came in clutch. we bundled up and spent hours out there drinking wine and watching the ferry come and go. one of my favorite airbnb experiences - i wish i could share pictures of the rainbow colored skies we saw.

    Shawna2020-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • Location was great, and Rebecca was very hospitable. She provided information of local restaurants and activities. They do a lot with the little cottages. We definitely would stay here again when we visit Orcas again.

    Dakota2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely loved our stay! Amazing view & such a cozy cottage with many thoughtful touches. We definitely would love to come back again in the summer months!

    Francesca2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • A perfect jumping off point to explore the island! We watched football at the Lower Tavern. A local hangout with reasonable prices and good food. It snowed when we were on the island and everything essentially shuts down. Thank goodness for Orcas Village store or we would be eating only the snacks we brought with us. Great stay overall!

Vacation for a month? Slow down and see what Island life is like. Largeroom on the other side of the house with a very comfy queen bed with a desk. You can walk to restaurants, the ferry, the food store or even a movie theater. There are many beautiful hikes and 2 historical national parks. You are welcome to cook in the kitchen which is shared. If you chose to just come up for long weekends you are welcome to that too.
There is alittle 4 pound 11 year old dog. I live in the home too. My husband is home on weekends. I work 40 hours a week & Im in school. I am a vegan but meat is fine in the kitchen. There are 19 stairs to get up to your room. But it’s one level when you are on the main floor. Your bathroom is thru the kitchen. Alittle odd but works.
Close to town and the ferry.
  • Beautiful home on a rock. Truly a blessing that I found such a wonderful place with outstanding hosts. Jennifer and Eric made my daughter and I feel like we were visiting family. This beautiful home lived up to the description in the listing in addition to access to another bathroom, a large closet in a spacious bedroom and the most comfortable bed. We made most of our meals in Jennifers kitchen which was so nice and organized and easy to navigate. Jennifer and Eric were so helpful with their knowledge of local trails, activities and ferry schedules. We were within walking distance to Friday Harbor where we visited local shops, restaurants and a wonderful Whale Museum. Friday Harbor was an easy walk from the house, but I’d highly recommend renting a car before getting to the island (if you’re not bringing your own) if you want to explore the rest of the island and/or the other beautiful islands. There are car rental options locally but they are higher priced. All in all, I couldn’t have asked for a better stay. The home was cozy, warm, clean and inviting. I could’ve chatted with Jennifer all day, Eric made us feel right at home and I can’t forget to mention Brinkley, she’s an adorable, well behaved little dog with a huge personality. I feel it was a gift of good fortune on this trip to the San Juan islands to have chosen the bird house. Many thanks to Eric and Jennifer from my daughter and I.

  • Best place to stay in Lopez Island especially if you love the food. My wife and I we have stayed in other bed & breakfast places. We still have not found the breakfast like they provide. Thanks for the yummy food and the lovely memories you are helping us to create. We will be back soon.

  • We stayed at Anthony’s place for one night while we explored Lopez Island. It was the perfect place to rest after a day roaming the countryside. My favorite part of the stay was the owl we could hear gently hooting in the evening when we opened our window.

    Henry2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Everything about the setting was beautiful. It was centrally located and we just stepped outside and were in the Village. The room were warm and cozy feeling with lots of windows. The offered a "light breakfast" that was wonderful. All homemade and fresh. There was a common room with a fireplace that was very welcoming and it was ours to use during our stay. I will be back!

    Kathy2020-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful location and amazing amenities. Lopez island is beautiful, and this hotel and hospitality greatly complimented our time.

    Fedor2020-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • Such a wonderful place to stay. It was the perfect place to stay for a quite weekend getaway. Check-in was a breeze. And the room was just as the pictures show. Everyone that works there is super friendly! Along with everyone else on the island. We will definitely come back in the summer months when all the restaurants and shops are open. Definitely plan your dinners/food in advance because there are only 2 restaurants open after 5:00pm on a Saturday. We 100% recommend the food at the inn. Our breakfast was awesome! I can only imagine how tasty the dinner would have been if we chose to eat there. Also, try the food truck Poutine Your Mouth. Soooo yummy!

This sweet spot is the entrance to a residencial area with lovely trees gracing the roadway. Nice for a short morning stroll or continue on a path to Cresent Beach and the Land Bank Perserve. Also, you can mix it up at the local coffee shops with the locals or each other.
  • Leith's apartment is really a perfect place for a weekend getaway, nicely furnished, it feels really cozy. Leith has a great selection of suggestions on what to do. The apartment is conveniently location in a quiet street really close to the city center with a gorgeous view of the bay.

  • Leith’s place is a wonderful place to stay in the town of Eastsound. Despite being within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and just about anything else you might need, it’s a quiet and peaceful location. The bed is super comfortable and the view from the deck is unbeatable. I’ll definitely be staying here any time I’m on Orcas Island for business.

    Adrian2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay in Leith's condominium. There were many great touches, such as fresh flowers and an eclectic mix of quality furniture. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The view of East Sound is spectacular. The condominium is comprehensively equipped. The location is fantastic. It is very quiet, yet within easy walking distance to numerous restaurants, coffee shops, book stores, and charming art galleries. Leith is a delightful and responsive host. Orcas Island offers endless opportunities for biking and hiking. We had a fantastic vacation and hope to be back soon!

  • This is a cozy gem of a place, a room with a view. We loved our stay and recommend it highly. It’s so convenient to everything. Leith has decorated everything so nicely and she welcomed us with chocolate chip cookies and fresh flowers in tiny vases on the kitchen sink window. There were green plants everywhere and wonderful, interesting books stacked on the shelves to read. We had a great stay there!!!!

    Trini2019-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly as billed! Except even more wonderful! Leith is an attentive and generous host. Her apartment is spectacular and perfectly appointed. Wonderful restaurants a quick walk away. Leith has a lifetime of experience on Orcas Island, and should you chose, she has a wealth of secrets to share. Such a memborable stay! Thank you!

    Polly2019-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a MUST stay! I can’t wait to go back! I’ve travelled a fair amount and this is one of the most memorable places I have stayed in, the environment, view, location all made my stay one of the best of my life. Leith is a wonderful and gracious host. Please go and visit!

    Loveleen2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • This place is everything we wanted and more! The location is great and Leith was so welcoming and kind to recommend places to eat, hike and enjoy the island. The space was immaculately clean and well-decorated.

  • Gorgeous location and amazing hosts!

    Kennedy2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Inaugural trip to Orcas Island was just perfect, largely due to Hannah and Pat’s lovely home. The space is very private, essentially a ‘wing’ of sorts of their house. And what a lovely wing it is - quiet, comfortable, warm, clean, and spacious! The perfect respite from all the exploring and adventuring on Orcas Island. Also, Netflix for the evenings when you’re tired and in need of some downtime, and a fully stocked kitchenette when a dinner in is preferred. A brief chat with Pat and Hannah revealed two very warm, welcoming souls - only wish was for more time getting to know them. Without hesitation, Hannah and Pat’s retreat will be a ‘must-book’ on future trips to the island.

    Maria2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Hannah's place is a quiet refuge on Orcas. I enjoyed watching the birds in the back yard and the deer everywhere around the place. The studio is well equipped for a comfortable stay. It is private and cozy. I enjoyed my stay here and I would stay again when I come to Orcas.

    Stan2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • This place is very sweet and made the perfect spot for our vacation getaway to Orcas Island. It's close to Doe Bay, which was really nice for us, and we just loved the cozy wood walls vibe! There are a lot of thoughtful touches in the room itself too that make it very homey. Both me and my partner have very sensitive backs, and this bed ended up being way too soft for us and caused us some back pain, so that would be my only constructive feedback. If you need a firmer bed like us, this might not be the best bed for you.

    Jaffee And Fenix Grace2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Very quiet. Hannah and Pat are wonderful humans; easy to communicate with and helpful. There is a very small kitchen so if you want to cook it's probably not the place for you. Comfy bed. Great shower with super hot water and lots of space. Out in Olga so if you want quiet this is the spot, if you want walking access to Eastsound this is not your spot.

    Rebecca2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • It’s an amazing place at a great value. And the hosts were lovely. I highly recommend staying here!

    Jen2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic time staying at Hannah and Pat’s for five nights during the Orcas off-season. This secluded retreat in Olga is five minutes from Moran State Park and Doe Bay, and about 15 minutes from East Sound. This mother-in-law add-on has all the modern comforts we could have wanted (Netflix, heated flooring in the bathroom, espresso machine) and was an excellent, private retreat to come “home” to after long days of mountain biking down Mt. Constitution. The surrounding area is very quiet in the off-season, with most of our meals coming from the Co-op market in East Sound due to the limited winter hours of most establishments. Hannah and Pat were great hosts and we would recommend staying at their home!

    Morgan2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend this well located, beautiful airbnb with very thoughtful hosts and great communication. It's at the top of my list for repeated stays on Orcas.

Very small (under 300 square feet), very sweet house for one or two. Double bed, bath with shower, LIGHT cooking, wood stove and electric heat, driftwood deck, partial water view. On same beach lot with larger vacation rental and you share yard and beach with guests staying in other house. Bring your kayak, paddle board and/or bicycle.
This house was built as a single car, free standing garage in the 1940's. It was never used as a garage and the original owners put in windows and wallboard. We bought it in 1994 and put in a bathroom with shower only, a small kitchenette, a wood stove and additional heat. We enlarged and rebuilt the small deck with cedar planking and driftwood. There is also driftwood inside as part of the kitchen and bathroom shelving. We do not accept more than two guests, and ask guests not to cook for additional people in the cabin.
Our small neighborhood has only single family houses, which are usually occupied during the summer and shoulder months, when the beach is at its best. There are fewer neighbors here during the winter, but winter can be wonderful if you like to watch storms over the water while you are sitting by the fire.
  • We thoroughly enjoyed Jacqueline's Tiny House on the island. This was our first time on Orcas, and staying at Jacqueline's place was the perfect experience. Very close to the water, with rustic charm and beauty. Jacqueline maintains great communication, is wonderfully friendly, and was accommodating when we had small needs. We will definitely return to the Tiny House next time we're on the island.

    Derek2019-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • The tiny house is actually spacier than we expected! It's still a "tiny house," but not at all cramped and an absolutely perfect size for a cozy, romantic weekend. We had everything we needed and Jackie allowed us to use anything in the larger house as well. We didn't need anything, but it was nice to have access to just in case. Crazy beautiful views and very quiet. The only problem we had was not enough hot water for a shower, but a new water heater had just been installed the day of our arrival so I think Jackie was still figuring out the best temp to keep it at. Other than that we had an amazing time!!

    Aly2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, great hostess!

    Charles2019-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • Jackie was very attentive in showing me the cabin and making sure I knew where everything was. She made me feel very at home during my stay.

    Emily2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Tiny house was so wonderful, calm, cute, and relaxing - we can’t wait to come back!

    Paige2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect place for a relaxing weekend! Jacqueline was an absolute delight, the tiny house had everything we needed, and the location was right by the water, not too far from the “downtown” area of the island, and super close to state parks . Highly recommend staying here!

    Kaelyn2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely little place! Jackie was very helpful and the location was just what I was looking for, a quiet, peaceful and beautiful spot to reconnect with nature. Will be back.

    Lea2019-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Sweet, clean, cozy space. Jacqueline made me feel right at home with her grounded warmth and candidness, as well as a thorough little tour of the place. The kitchen was simple enough to cook, the wood stove a delight and very effective for a visit in a chilly time, and the peace and quiet of the area and water was lovely and easeful.

  • Northbeach Cabin is a treasure! We loved the location, and peaceful vibe. Libi has outfitted the cabin beautifully: the bed and linens are soooo comfortable, the bright kitchen had everything we needed to cook dinners every night to bring to our kids who just had a baby- happy first-time grandparents!! The shower is great, the amenities are beautiful and everything is sparkling clean!! Highly recommend!! Libi is a responsive and lovely host!

    Susan2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Libi's cabin was a great place to stay on Orcas Island. It's in a great location, Libi provided us with some helpful tips. Would recommend to others looking for a place in the area.

    Timothy2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had an awesome stay at Libi’s! The place is perfect for 2 people and the bathroom and kitchen were modern and clean! We loved the view from the bedroom, and the cabin was close to the shops and restaurants in Eastsound! Overall great experience!

    Katie2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • I adore this cabin! So many special touches- beautiful cook ware, very soft sheets and bed, sparkling clean shower, and a gorgeous view out every window. I loved how private it felt at all times. The decor was not fussy but simple and tasteful. I will never look any place else when coming to Orcas Island.

    Kathryn2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • The space was warm and cozy for two. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach and the central location for activities on the Island.

    Jane2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • This location was a great place for exploring Orcas Island. It’s within walking distance to the beach and also a short drive to most of the restaurants in the area. It was very quiet and relaxing. All amenities covered (other than a tv, but we brought a laptop). We were able to cook dinners in the kitchen and enjoyed the pour over coffee. Sparkling clean! And thoughtful touches. I would recommend to friends and be happy to return again.

    Katherine2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the Northbeach Cabin! I probably said some version of “I love this cabin!” to my husband at least ten times in our two days there. It is the perfect mix of cool vintage bones and cozy, modern style. Basically, it is my dream cabin. And, the location is great—water views from the bed in the loft and close to Eastsound too. The Northbeach Cabin was our favorite Airbnb so far, and Libi was a great host. Thanks Libi!

    Kelly2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Libi’s place made for the perfect getaway! The location is awesome, the view of the water when you’re in the bedroom was beautiful, the unit itself was so clean and the bed was comfortable too! We saw 17 deer outside the window the second night too! We would absolutely stay here again.

A wonderfully quiet, well-appointed, accessible beach house with expansive lawn for croquet, catch, watching deer or lounging. Located on Obstruction Pass Road, the house overlooks Obstruction Island with Cypress Island in the distance.
This 1920's two-bedroom, one-bath bungalow was barged from the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle to its current beach location in the early 50's. Recently renovated, this home features climate control heating/cooling, modern appliances, and an updated kitchen with views that can't be beat. This house, while not conforming to all ADA accessibility requirements, has ramps to the deck, house and garden, and a spacious bathroom with large walk-in shower. Both the King and Queen bedrooms have been updated with Temper-Pedic mattresses. There is a fold-out bed in the living room. There are two twin mattresses and a Pack'n'Play that may be set up to accommodate your guests. The property has a wood-shingle cabin separating the house and garden from the quiet road and this out-building is not currently part of the rental.
A quiet neighborhood at the end of a country road. There are prolific deer, resident seals, otters and bird-life including herons, eagles, kingfishers, gulls, and breeding oyster catchers. Occasionally the Washington State ferry will cruise through Obstruction Pass filling the picture windows of the house and the neighborhood will ring with welcome bells and horns. Obstruction Pass State park, Olga Artworks and Cafe, and Buck Bay Oysters/Shellfish Farm are within 2.5 miles of the house. Moran State Park and Doe Bay Resort are within 5 miles.
  • This is a quaint little house right on the water. It is a beautiful view and a great place to unplug. Our children ages 4-16 had a wonderful time exploring. It is close to the Moran state park with great hiking experiences.

    Tabetha2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • This spot was absolutely perfect for our family. The location is pure magic and the house is cozy with wonderful views. Even on grey days the main space stays nice and bright with an ever changing view out the picture windows. Our 1.5 and 3.5yo enjoyed the toys in the house and playing on the beach just steps out the door. Thank you!

    Liz2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • Clark and Tamsin's place is absolutely perfect for a family gathering where you want to just spend time together. The view and scenery is spectacular, the accommodations very clean and comfortable, and the kitchen well stocked with the essentials (we cooked a lot). I highly recommend this home.

    Kim2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! The view is spectacular! The place is cozy. We’ll be back!

    Kascha2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • The photos don't do this place justice. The house is very functional, complete with natural reference books, kids books, toys, and games. It's located on a quiet private street in close proximity to neighbors but in a rural setting. The view from the large windows in the living room, dining room, and kitchen really made the trip for us. During the days, we spotted seals, otters, bald eagles, a great blue heron, and a host of other sea birds. Overnight (thank you, fussy baby), we were able to stargaze from the comfort of the living room. Note: there is one heater for the house in the living room, and it took several hours to heat the bedrooms when we first arrived. Once they were warm, it was very comfortable, but bring warm PJs for the first night if you're arriving in the evening.

    Amanda2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful location, we loved staring out at the water and frequently saw deer, seals and bald eagles. Lots of room to spread out and the king bed was a nice upgrade from the usual vacation rental offering.

    Kristen2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • House was very clean and comfortable, exactly as described and pictured. Location was great! Exactly what we were looking for in terms of a mellow getaway, recommend for sure!

To top it off, our guests are treated with absolutely epic nightly sunsets as we face due west!

Our to-go cafe, fuel, and grocery store will remain open at limited hours. Hot tub is closed. Our classic beachfront cabins have recently been remodeled with a charm all their own. Most have hardwood floors and pine walls throughout. They are our "classic" West Beach Cabins and are our most popular. Their romantic charm and unique design are popular for those wanting a step above our standard beachfront cabins. Well-behaved pets are welcome only in certain classic beachfront cabins and by prior arrangement only at $19/pet/night. All of our cabins are non-smoking. Parking is available directly next to each unit. Cabins are rated for four with a maximum occupancy of six. Included in the living area is a wood-burning stove, futon or hide-a-bed, coffee table, reading chair w/ light, and dining table/chairs. Electric heat is also provided throughout the unit. Hardwood floors and charming accents deliver that cozy cabin-on-the-beach feel. The full kitchen comes fully stocked with all dishware and utensils for six people. Also included is a refrigerator, range, sink, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker. Specialty dishware may not be in the unit (glass cookware, large crab boiling pots, etc.), but ask us as we may have them for loan at our store. Also included is a full bathroom with towels and toiletries provided. Two separate bedrooms, each with queen beds, are situated off the main living area. The covered beachfront patio includes a table, chairs, charcoal BBQ and utensils, and amazing westerly views and wildlife viewing! Step off the patio and relax next to your private beachside firepit. Two beach chairs, table, and a picnic table with umbrella (seasonal) are also included. Or, hop onto the beach and lift up a few rocks - you might be surprised at what little creatures you'll find!
We have an on-site coffee bar, draft beer and wine, grocery store, marina, activities, rentals, and more. All on-site!
  • This place is great for dogs. We had a dog-approved unit right on the beach, classic beach cabin decor, super cute and cozy. The set up makes it easy to clean up after the dogs and we appreciate that the unit is fairly dog-proof. Loved sleeping with the sound of the surf and warming up with a real wood fire.

    Elizabeth2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Cute cabin, not far from town but still in a nice bay away from weather. Check in was friendly and quick and staff is outstanding. Will definitely be back!!

    Pamela2020-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • Even with the rain and the cold, this cabin was exactly what we needed for a short weekend getaway. The cabin itself has all the necessities and none of the frills. We really enjoyed not having a television and unplugging for a day. Main Street is only a ten minute drive for restaurants and grocery stores. I can’t wait to revisit in the warmer months.

    Katie2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • It’s a beautiful location and perfect little cabin on the beach!

    Kati2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Great views of the Salish Sea in a cozy cabin a rocks throw from the water.

    James2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • The beachfront cabins are awesome, and the whole resort is wonderful! The store/front desk is great for quick snacks, coffee, wine and beer. Everyone who works there is incredibly nice, welcoming and helpful. We stayed during the winter when it’s much quieter on the island and some of the restaurants are closed for the season, and being in the cabins was perfect because we had a view of the water from our windows, an adorable and warm wood burning stove, and a full kitchen for cooking when we didn’t want to go out. It’s very convenient to Eastsound and other parts of the island we wanted to visit, but also a great place to just enjoy the lovely island scenery. The fire pits outside on the water were excellent as well as the front porch with grill and table and chairs. I’ve read some other reviews that are grumpy about there not being a TV in the beachside cabins, but for $12/night we rented a tv/dvd combo from the front desk, and it was perfect for nighttime movies. And no, you definitely don’t need a TV out there, but if you do want to watch movies, it’s very convenient. We were also traveling with our dog, and it’s a wonderful place for dogs. Plenty of areas to walk around both on pathways, the front lawn of the cabin and on the beach. It’s a very dog friendly property, and everyone was very respectful of the dogs, and all the ones we encountered were incredibly well behaved and seemed to be having a wonderful time. We truly enjoyed our stay...my only complaint was that we had to leave. Can’t wait to come back!

Yet despite the location there is still a high level of privacy at the cottage. The grounds are gorgeous and the cottage interior is amazing. We'll definitely be coming back.

  • Super cute and perfectly sized cottage for a couple with everything you could need. Very clean and comfortable. Even though there is another cottage on the property, it still feels private. We are already thinking about booking again. You aren't just walking distance to the village. You are IN the village. You can't get more convenient than that.

  • My husband and I found that Alma and Jeremiah’s cottage is accurately depicted in the photos provided. The place is absolutely lovely and everything we needed to feel right at home was provided. The cottage is in town so every shop is within walking distance, although many were closed for the winter season. The ferry terminal was a short drive away. We would most definitely stay again.

  • This very stylish and comfortable cottage provided us with a terrific place to stay during winter months. We explored the island and returned “home” for rest and everything we could possibly need. There are two local, large grocery markets close by, one just a few minutes walk away. The cottage gave us a lot of privacy and was away from any noise or traffic. We loved it!

  • Tom is a great host at a spotlessly clean condo in a convenient location in Friday Harbor. Hope I get to stay again!

  • Very clean and comfortable.

  • Great for a stay on the island. Very close to downtown, definitely feels homey and would absolutely stay again!

  • Just as advertised. Very clean, lots of amenities, and great communication. I only stayed one night, so I didn’t get to utilize all the goodies.

  • Tim’s place was exactly as pictured and described: clean, spacious, simple, and a good home base for exploring the island. We also appreciated the short walking distance to all the activity and restaurants. Good value for what it was as most places on the island seemed to be very pricey.

  • Tim's place was a great base for our time in Friday Harbor. It is close enough to walk to town, and we liked having basic kitchen amenities to save some money on dining out.

  • Lovely place with a cozy feel. Breakfast was great and we loved playing games by the fire in the main livingroom.

  • Just a lovely place to stay - quiet, convenient, beautiful setting. Friendly hosts, comfy and spacious room and bath, fluffy towels, and fresh chocolate chip cookies in the evening. Nice breakfast with oats and hard-boiled eggs as well as pastries and coffee. We really enjoyed our stay here, and hope to return. Thank you!

  • Spacious room with lovely sitting area and super comfortable bed and bath. Absolutely stunning views from the location on Lopez - which is the most beautiful and relaxing island. We were only there for one night and had a super early departure so not an issue for us in the least, but due to proximity to the main hallway, noted that the room could potentially have some noise carry through - sensitive late-sleepers could fix this easily with earplugs. Totally worth it.

  • This is at the Edenwild Boutique Inn. My stay was great! Breakfast was a yogurt and fresh fruit parfait, or a pastry or hard boiled eggs. Free coffee, tea, water. The bed was super comfortable (not always true at BnB's) and the gardens and landscaping is beautiful. Anthony was also super friendly and hospitable and gave great advice for where to eat, hike, bike, etc. You can also rent kayaks, bikes, or e-bikes from Anthony. This is a family run, very clean, Inn with a "throw-back to the late 1800's" style. As if that wasn't enough, there are wild bunnies everywhere. Location = right in village center. I waked to restaurants.
