  • We wanted a complete escape away from the “rat race“ and found it in Lorraine’s place. It was beautifully clean and stylish and just what we needed. It’s tiny but perfect and Winston, our golden retriever fitted in perfectly ! Thank you Lorraine for your helpful tips on the area.

  • Lorraine's annex is everything we needed - it's a beautiful, cosy little space perfect for myself and my friend and her dog to stay for the weekend exploring Mudeford and the surrounding areas. Lorraine was so responsive running up to the trip and during it and gave us all the information we needed to enjoy our stay. She provided a lovely breakfast with breads, croissants, cheese, fruit & orange juice and there's tea and coffee and a kettle there too. The garden is beautiful and a lovely place to relax in the morning before heading out. Lorraine's place is only a short walk to Mudeford Quay which is a beautiful area with pubs and restaurants, and its a nice walk to Avon beach and up to Highcliffe Castle which we really enjoyed. The location is also a quick drive to Lymington and the New Forrest, so perfectly located for further exploring. Everywhere in the area is dog friendly so we had no trouble finding places to eat and drink. Would love to come back - there's so much more we want to do in the area! :)

The Property: The Shed is named somewhat tongue in cheek by the owners' family as it is about as far from a shed as you can get. Whether sitting out on the decking with its clear view glass balustrade or in the comfort of the lounge you have stunning views across Avon Beach and the Solent to the Isle of Wight and The Needles; there is always something to watch at any time of year. When you talk about a property one of the most important factors is location. New for 2015, the chalet has it all from its prime sea front position to its proximity to such places as the beautiful New Forest, Bournemouth, Lymington and Christchurch. There is so much to do right on your doorstep or within a very short drive. The Shed is fully equipped to a high standard with all you need to make your stay one of comfort and luxury. There is a dishwasher "so no arguments over the washing up!", separate fridge and freezer, microwave and extra touches like a built in coffee maker, Bose Sounddock and TVs in both bedrooms. You have private parking adjacent to the chalet so you do not have to haul your luggage and shopping far. The Shed is based within the boutique Sandhills Holiday Park. With its historic main house and leafy grounds the whole ambiance is one of relaxing in the country but with the sights and sounds of the sea. The park facilities are available to all guests and include an adventure playground, family bar with Sky TV, heated outdoor pool, small gymnasium, pool table, launderette and mini mart store. Additionally there is free WiFi in the lounge and bar areas.
About the Local area: Christchurch was a renowned smuggling town and 'The Shed' is just a short walk from the historic Mudeford Quay where in 1784 smugglers skirmished with Customs and Excise officers. So kids bring those cutlasses, eye patches and skull and crossbones, oh and a parrot if you have one! It is still a working quay today with fishing boats venturing out most days so why not say hello to Pete on boat Deja Vu (SU21) and see how his day has been, or wave to him from your decking as he heads back from another successful day out. If you fancy testing your skills out and bringing the catch home yourself pleasure fishing trips are available directly from the quay, or we can help you organise in advance. There are many pleasure trips to be had or if you fancy a thrill then why not hang on to your seats on the Bay Blast rib ride. The Quay is also famous for its crabbing from the quayside (crabbers quay!) and has a children's play park, fish stall, cafe, The Haven House Inn and a large green area which is perfect for picnics, ball games and kite flying. You can catch the ferry to Hengistbury Head directly from the Quay and visit its fantastic beaches and beach huts. Christchurch harbour is a great place for watersports from windsurfing to sailing and the Highcliffe sailing club is based on the Quay. There is also an active RNLI lifeboat station which practices launching weekly so you are almost bound to see their rather unusual lifeboat launch and recovery system in action! If walking or bird watching is your thing then you can do both without even getting in the car. Within an easy stroll you will find a nature reserve on the cliff top adjacent to Highcliffe Castle. If you fancy a little longer out then why not try the circular walk through Stanpit Marshes and on to Christchurch for a spot of lunch. Then take the Tuckton ferry from outside the Captains Club to cross the river, or walk over Tuckton bridge a little further on if the ferry is not running, and head across more picturesque marshes to the back of Hengistbury Head. From there you can skirt the inside shoreline, head up and over the top or use the beach as your route back to the beach huts and ferry home at the tip of the Head. Who knows, the Haven House Inn may tempt you with a thirst quencher before heading back to the luxuries of the chalet. Down at Avon beach, there is a café/restaurant, the Noisy Lobster, and kiosks serving fish and chips, coffee and ice cream. There is a shop selling anything from local/national papers to clothes and holiday souvenirs and even a bakery on site. If you head out in the car then the walks available to you are endless with The New Forest on your doorstep and The Purbecks within easy reach. Easily missed and of particular note is the area around Keyhaven and Lymington and, in particular, the sea wall walk past the now disused salt works and the spit and Hurst Castle, which in itself is worth entry but make sure you have a few hours to spare. Historically sailing and fishing are all part of the local heritage with such famous local sailing clubs as Christchurch and Lymington to hand. More recently wind and kite surfing have become extremely popular along with kayaking and paddle boarding. Don't worry if you have never tried any of these or do not have any equipment as Shore Sports base themselves in the harbour and are more than happy to help out. About the area in general: Christchurch - the sign says 'Where Time is Pleasant' and it's right. From the lively Monday market to the great shops and restaurants along the high street it is a great coastal town. It is a short trip in the car or by the Ferry that leaves from Mudeford Quay. Christchurch Priory is the longest parish church in the country and is surrounded by beautiful grounds, riverside walks and Christchurch Quay. The Priory is a must see and is steeped in history. The Priory contains the 'miraculous beam' said to be placed there by a carpenter locals believed was Christ himself. The New Forest - a National Park situated on the south coast of England. The landscape is a mix of heathland, grassland, bogs and woods. Domestic animals are permitted to roam freely throughout the Forest. Visit Beaulieu Motor Museum, catch a ferry from the pretty town of Lymington to the Isle of Wight or just enjoy the many cycle trails, walks and forest villages. Bournemouth - the famous seaside resort with miles of beaches, loads of restaurants, bars, clubs and great shopping. Just 9 miles away, it has so much to see and do. Other Attractions - Alice in Wonderland maze Theme Park, Serendipity Sams, Go Ape at Moors Valley, TowerPark with its Multiplex Bowling and Splashdown Indoor Water Park, Paulton's theme park on the edge of the New Forest, the Bournemouth Oceanarium, Compton Acres, Poole Old Town & Harbour, Sandbanks and Brownsea Island to name but a few.

'Ellie' is your home from home by the sea. A static caravan (2018 model) tucked away amongst trees on Sandhills Holiday Park and only a two minute walk to Mudeford quay and Avon Beach.
The caravan has a double bedroom with large wardrobe and a twin room with two small single beds. The bedrooms share a bathroom which has a wash basin, WC and shower. Beds are made up for your arrival. Toilet paper and soap is provided however you will need to bring your own towels. There is a fully equipped kitchen with gas cooker, hob, microwave and fridge/freezer. A table which seats four is in the kitchen area. The lounge area has a corner sofa, TV with DVD player and a flame effect gas fire with mood lighting. A decked area with seating surrounds two sides of the caravan. Great for al fresco dining. The caravan has Wifi and there is an allocated parking space alongside the caravan. Access to the caravan is via four good steps with a rail up onto the decking. Once inside the caravan it is level access. The doorways into the bedrooms and bathroom are narrow and would not accommodate anyone needing to mobilise with a frame or walker.
Sandhils Holiday Park is in a fantastic location tucked away amongst trees yet a few steps away from Mudeford promenade and quay. Avon beach is a short walk along the promenade. Sandhills has an open air swimming pool (seasonal opening times) and a small gym. The clubhouse also offers some entertainment. There is a selection of cafes, restaurants and small local shops within easy walking distance. A fish stall can be found on Mudeford Quay which sells shellfish and the local catch of the day. Larger shops and a variety of restaurants are available in nearby Christchurch (approximately 2 miles away)
  • This is a lovely mobile home, spotlessly clean with all the amenities we needed. It was a surprise to be able to watch the squirrels at play just outside the window. The location is excellent, perfect for a long beach walk even in January. We were 4 adults and the second bedroom is as described, quite small but we slept really well. We would recommend this property.

The Harris Hut is a lovely property on Sandhills Holiday Park. From the decking area, you get a glimpse of the Needles on the Isle of Wight. It is situated in an ideal location with its own parking space, close to one of the park gates that leads out onto the promenade giving easy access to both Mudeford Quay (famous for crabbing) and also Avon Beach. The property can sleep 5 guests - there is one kingsize bed and then both a set of bunk beds and single bed in the smaller room. The property is pet friendly and has a lovely open and airey feel to it. It is close to local annual activites such as the Royal National Lifeboat Association fun day held on Mudeford Quay in August time. There is also easy access to the ferry that goes over to Hengistbury Head - it is an ideal spot to base yourselves for a fantastic holiday in this area.
  • We stayed at the Harris Hut for a week and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I cannot rate the caravan highly enough and the location was perfect. We felt really welcomed by the hosts who had a left a bottle of wine and a card for when we arrived. The caravan was clean with lovely modern furnishings. We will definitely book to go again.

  • Gordon was very helpful and gave us all the information needed for our stay. The Lodge is of a high standard with furnishings and kitchen equipment as new. One toilet was out of action but as only a two night stay was not a problem. Would definitely recommend this property.

  • Amazing beach front site with lovely heated outdoor pool. The lodge is well equipped, spotlessly clean and peaceful

    Sally2019-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely lovely location! Not your typical holiday park (thank god) - nice and quiet, friendly people, stunning lodges and beautiful beach. We were very lucky to have the heatwave whilst visiting however regardless of the weather absolute gem, would love to visit again. Everything was as expected or better, no complaints what so ever. (The only annoying thing are the trees outside, you have to constantly sweep, but thats the parks fault) Although we thought it was a little expensive for a Mon - Fri 5 nights but 2 days cut short - but i guess you pay for what you get. Gordon was very helpful with speed replies. Also, a lovely touch allowing you to bring dogs - our little Pablos first holiday was wonderful. We would love to visit again next year! Thanks Again.

    Emma2019-06-28T00:00:00Z

MUDEFORD Just a short stroll from ‘Lazy Daze’ along the sand will take you to the gift shop which sells freshly baked bread and pastries (baked on the premises) and daily newspapers. You will also find The Noisy Lobster which is one of the most popular restaurants in the area where you can enjoy the spectacular views across Mudeford bay whilst enjoying breakfast, lunch, dinner or just a cup of coffee. A further walk along the beach will take you to Highcliffe Castle with its tea rooms and gift shop. From Mudeford Quay you can catch the ferry to Mudeford Sandbank on Hengistbury Head or head out on one of the various boat trips and adventure voyages. • Fabulous, spacious and spotless modern apartment with sea views of Mudeford Quay - such a great location. Having just returned from a three night stay here, with my husband and two eleven year olds, we were all so happy with this find: a stones throw from the Quay and beach, cleverly configured apartment with communal space and private space, lovely shower room and individually controlled radiators in each room to suit everyones requirements........oh and lots of socket points in each room, which the kids were delighted about for their gadgets during the evenings. Enjoyed a fabulous meal at The Noisy Lobster and The Nelson Pub, both recommended by Lynne and Peter, who were very friendly and thoughtful hosts. I would highly recommend this lovely place and we would love to return.

Wrens Nest had everything we needed for our stay and was extremely clean and comfortable. A nice choice of different tea and coffees provided (appreciated the decaf in the evenings.) We have uninterupted south facing views from Mudeford Harbour to Hengisbury Head. The extensive private deck offers a great setting to enjoy boating, swans, tidal changes and amazing sunsets. Avon Beach is a two minute walk and the unique New Forest is nearby. Great for wild life, walking, cycling, water sports and relaxing in an amazing setting. The park at Sandhills has a cafe/bar, great outdoor heated pool. Little folk are catered for with a shallow warm pool, childrens room and playground.
Mudeford Quay and the beautiful Avon Beach are a two minute walk, the unique New Forest is a ten minute drive. We also enjoy taking the ferry across to Hengistbury or into nearby Christchurch.
Mudeford has lots of unique spots to enjoy such as Standpit Marshes and Hengisbury Head. For shopping Christchurch, Bouremouth and Poole are all within easy reach. For the active there is ready access to kayac help and hire and for cyclists the new Forest is a mere 10 minutes ride away. Lots to enjoy....
  • the lodge is in an amazing position with fabulous views over Christchurch harbour, very clean and with everything you could wish for

    Lorna2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great compact lodge with nearly everything you need and an amazing view. The beds were comfortable, and it is a King bed in the main room, with a lovely little dressing area. Lots of extras like a selection of books, DVDs and games . Even a fishing net for crabbing in the store cupboard! The site is small which is lovely, and the heated pool gets busy, you are right on Avon beach and Mudeford Quay. It is fantastically located for a family break, and walking distance to three restaurants, The Jetty and the Upper deck at Christchurch Harbour Hotel, and The NoIsy Lobster which is great for breakfast. Hilary looked after us and came in to clean and change bed linen on our 10 night stay. One Small downside - there isn’t actual any WiFi in the lodge at all. If you can’t get a good signal on your phone the only option is to walk to the reception area and sit at the pool or the bar to get WiFi. Could be a bonus if you want a device free weekend.

    Joanna2019-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely lodge, well equiped and great location. The kids loved the pool. Hilary has been the perfect host. Highly recommended.

  • What an amazing place! The view, the location and the beautiful lodge was just fantastic...we'll be back!

    Kavita2019-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay here however as Hillary is aware the parking in my view is so tight and not clearly defined to the lodge there are no markings of any description apart from a sign. In my opinion a site like this where all vans and lodges are so expensive it seems like space is that much of a premium they can’t give you a proper parking place. A big tip I would give anyone who is stopping at Quay lodge be aware of the trees where you park my car got in such a mess with bird droppings and my bonnet got a small dent in from acorns etc dropping from the trees when it was really windy. Overall we had a lovely stay at Quay lodge and we was even planning on staying a week there next year but I think we will look over the other side of the park where our car will be safer.

  • A very well appointed and comfortable lodge with everything you might expect for a great relaxing holiday with stunning views across Mudeford harbour and the Haven. Great local pubs and restaurants in the area and a stone's throw from Avon Beach. Ideal family location.

A new space in a leafy corner only a hundred yards from the fabulous Avon beach which boasts a lovely restaurant. The New Forrest and the medieval town are only a few minutes away. Water sports, hiking,horse-riding, sailing all nearby.
This is a newly decorated annexe to the main house with its own private entrance, patio and parking space. There is one main bed/sitting room which has a double bed, table and chairs for two and ample wardrobe space. There is a lovely new fully fitted kitchen with breakfast bar. I'm told the shower in the comfortable bathroom is the best in the house.
The Christchurch/New Forrest area is a great location for just about anything you might like to do. The town of Christchurch has river boating, sailing and walking trips available as well as a great little theatre/cinema. It also has some top class restaurants, hotels and shops. The Captains Club Spa Hotel for example is a great river side venue for drinks, food and a massage. You can moor your boat there if you've hired one from Christchurch quay. Equally elegant is the Chewton Glen Spa Hotel which is a healthy 30 minute walk along the beach or a 5 minute ride in a car. If you like tennis or golf you can play it there. They also do great afternoon tea apparently. The Georgian town and sailing enclave of Lymington is about 8 miles away. From here you can take a ferry (car & passenger) to the Isle of Wight - well worth it for a day trip. The famous Victorian sea-side resort and University town of Bournemouth is only a 15 minute drive away and well worth a visit. The shopping, the park, the beach, the pier and the nightlife are all legendary. Bournemouth is a favourite place for English language learners from all over the world so you will hear many languages spoken on its streets.
  • This annexe is a jewel in the local crown. Perfectly located for the fabulous beeches nearby. Great decoration throughout, some thoughtful touches and the benefit of off street parking.

  • This is a really conveniently located, clean and well equipped place to stay. Checkin/out is easy too

    Dave2019-11-08T00:00:00Z
  • This lovely little annexe was perfect for a few days away. The kitchen is well equipped and the shower nice and powerful. The beach is just a few minutes walk as described. We missed a TV (especially with the rugby World Cup) but the WiFi is nice and fast so we were able to watch it on the iPad!

    Jackie2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • The annexe is in a lovely quiet residential part of Mudeford: Friars Cliff, and is only a short walk to the beach. If you like wandering along streets lined with spectacular trees, interesting houses with beautifully planted gardens or strolling along the coast with amazing views over to the Isle of Wight, then this is the perfect spot. The annexe is a good size and is quiet and clean, with a well equipped kitchen and comfy bed.

    Helen2019-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely place to stay, 2 minutes from the beach yet quiet and peaceful over night.

    Linda2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent location. Accommodation was exactly as described, spotlessly clean and well equipped. Host shared lots of useful tips and information about the local area. Will definitely return.

    Rachel2019-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Well situated close to the beach and amenities. Well equipped accommodation with plenty of board games and books to use should the weather be inclement. Beautiful part of the country with plenty of walls and places to eat and drink.

    Patricia2019-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Our first stay at this studio style annexe.. we were wowed by the location, quality of the studio and amenities! The fully equipped kitchen is a big plus! Check in was trouble free and Clare provided full details before our arrival. Clare was a great host and recommended some great restaurants and walks! We would highly recommend the Noisy Lobster for a nice lunch or dinner (only a 3 minute walk away), and the leisurely beach stroll (45 minutes) to Highcliffe castle. Already planning our next trip!!

  • Little Haven is a stylishly renovated, spacious property in a fabulous location. Close enough to everything you could need yet you feel away from it all. If you’re after sea air, beach walks and crabbing this is the place for you, I can’t recommend it highly enough. The short ferry trip over to Mudeford Sandbanks for a walk up and over the headland was one of many highlights from our stay.

  • What a magical experience - sunrises and sunsets to take your breath away, the sound of water lapping against the sea wall to send you off to sleep, and a beautifully finished, spacious and cozy house on the beach. Lovely hosts and little touches. Thanks!

  • We had a great stay. The house is very well finished and the position is as close as you can get to the water. Buying fish straight from the fisherman landing their catch on the quay and the fantastic terrace with incredible views were two of the high points. Ian was an excellent host who took good care of us. Would highly recommend.

  • Amazing house, right on the quay. Lovely decking from which to get panoramic views and relax. House was modern and had every available amenity. Check in was easy and key was collected from safe key box without any problems. We've been going to Mudeford Quay for almost 40 years and we were looking for a house to get us all together again for our parents 60th wedding anniversary and this was the ideal place. Bedding was lovely, lovely fluffy towels and some welcome wine and a card when we arrived. Couldn't have made it any better, thank you.

A two bedroom, two bathroom holiday lodge, with amazing beach views from the decking, and a 2min walk on to the Avon Beach promenade! A fantastic modern kitchen with oven, 5 ring hob, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and American fridge. Two large sofas for crashing out in front of the fire and TV of an evening, and high ceilings and double height windows in the lounge provide a lovely bright and airy feel.
In fantastic condition, with a better kitchen than I have at home! :) Comfortable beds and 2 bathrooms, so the option of a relaxing bath or a shower. Most basic home comforts are provided, so all you have to do is turn up and enjoy your break.
The lovely town of Christchurch is only 10mins away, and you can hop on the ferry to Mudeford Spit just 5mins away to explore that beach, or take a stroll up to Hengistbury Head. There is plenty to do on the Dorset coast, and the New Forest is only half an hour away.
  • We had a great time staying in Lou’s lodge in Mudeford. It was cosy and warm, nicely decorated with stylish touches and had so much more space than we imagined. The showers in the bathrooms were amazing and the smeg appliances in the kitchen were to die for. Lou was a great host and although we did not see her her communication whilst we were there and for check in was very informative and made our check in and check out so much easier. The Lodge is perfectly placed for all Mudeford’s amenities. It was a stones throw from Avon beach, a five minute walk from the Noisy Lobster, the Haven Inn and the ferry to Mudeford Spit. We loved our stay that much that we arranged with Lou to stay another night! I can wholeheartedly recommend Lou’s place.

  • Perfect accommodation in a beautiful place. The location is amazing, just a stones throw from the beach. With tasty local cafes and restaurants, this beachside location was ideal for our family get away. The host was easy to get hold of in advance and had set up the home with loads of extras including games and dvds for the kids. The home was very clean and comfortable and had all the amenities you need for a stay away. Thank you Lou for an a brilliant stay, we will definitely be back!

    Laura2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Lou is a great host, very helpful and answered all questions we had prior to our stay. The lodge looked lovely on the website and we weren't disappointed! In fact, the bonus was that there are in fact two toilet and wash areas which we'd not realized from the pictures! We didn't realise either that there are TVs in the bedrooms too - another nice surprise. Check in was straightforward and the sitting room and kitchen area are very well equipped with lovely seaside themes and touches, plus DVDs and games. You can see the sea from the lounge area and verandah. The verandah doesn't get much full sun because of the tree, but I imagine in hot weather the dappled sun would be welcome. I had been worried beforehand whether I would be warm enough but needn't have worried! You can control the heating to what you need. The amenities are all so near too - Avon Beach and the Noisy Lobster and Avon Beach shop just a few minutes to your left if you exit by the gate at the front. To your right just a few minutes walk is Mudeford Quay, The Haven Pub and the ferry over to Mudeford Spit. The people at Sandhills reception are very helpful too. All in all a lovely break, we'd never stayed in a lodge before, but Lou made sure that we'd definitely want to try it again. Highly recommended.

Sea Dreams Retreat is a cosy double bedroom with en-suite bathroom and private entrance. The room is part of our family home, however you have your own personal space in this very special location, with a small seating area outside dedicated for your private use. This is a stunning setting, just 300 yards from the beautiful Avon Beach. Suitable for couples or individuals the room is well-equipped with a Tassimo machine and a selection of hot drinks, free wifi, toiletries, bedding and towels.
This is a stunning setting, just 300 yards from the beautiful Avon Beach with the tourist attractions of Mudeford Quay, Hengistbury Head and Highcliffe Castle a short walk away. There are pubs and cafes within walking distance, with a great range of choice from the traditional Haven Pub on Mudeford Quay, the Beach Hut café along the front, the popular Noisy Lobster on the beach, Highcliffe Castle café, and the multi-award winning Jetty Restaurant all a walk away. The Christchurch Harbour Hotel is a 10 minute walk with a great restaurant and terrace bar with views across Christchurch Harbour. Suitable for couples or individuals looking for a retreat by the sea, or those visiting friends and family in the area, we’re also perfectly located for Christchurch, Bournemouth, the New Forest and surrounding areas. There is space on the drive for 1 car, and the room is well-equipped with a Tassimo machine and a selection of hot drinks, free wifi, toiletries, bedding and towels. Please note: Breakfast is not provided however there are several cafes within a short walk to enjoy breakfast by the beach. As a double room, sadly it’s not suitable for dogs or children.
We’re sure you’ll love this area as much as we do. The Haven on Mudeford quay is a traditional pub serving good food and local beers. You’ll find us sitting at the back on a summer’s evening enjoying the views across the harbour. From Mudeford Quay you can jump on the boat to Hengistbury head, which only takes 5 minutes, but once you’re there it’s one of the most beautiful places around. You can dream of having a beach hut on this much sought-after spit of land with sea either side, as long as you’ve got £280,000 to spare!!! The walks along the coast are amazing and Highcliffe Castle is worth a visit as its famous for being the home of Mr Selfridge. Enjoy a bite to eat and a drink at the café there. If you fancy an evening out, there are restaurants and bars in Christchurch, along the front at Boscombe or in Bournemouth. If you’d rather stay very local, The Noisy Lobster restaurant is a 1 minute walk from our house, the Haven Pub is a 10 minute walk away, and there’s a sports bar called the Sandpiper around the corner (away from the beach) which offers your typical pub grub and is good value. The New Forest is a short drive away, with the pretty villages of Brockenhurst, Lyndhurst, Burley and Beaulieu. The new forest ponies roam wild in this stunning national forest. Lymington is also worth a visit with its pretty harbour and ferry to the Isle of Wight.
  • Very friendly, great location, clean and feels private. Great place.

  • What a find this was!! I had such a delightful stay with Jon and Jo. From the warm welcome to the extra little touches provided, it is definitely a place to stay. A peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the main beach of Bournemouth but less than 5 min walk to mudeford beach. A great beach with an excellent cafe, shop and coffee cart. Highly recommend a stay here

  • Great location. A stones throw from Avon Beach. Perfect for travelling to surrounding areas such as Bournemouth. Room itself is lovely. Perfect size for a couple for a night or two. Very clean with lovely little added extras I haven't seen elsewhere. Self check in and out very easy and convenient. We saw the hosts a couple of times, very nice and welcoming. We would highly recommend.

  • A little gem in Dorset. So close to the beach and enough to do in walking distance for a weekend to save using the car. We had glorious weather! The room is not big but certainly big enough for a weekend stay. No TV. En-suite bath/shower which was lovely and well stocked with shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. Bed was very comfortable with good linen. Outside space with table and chairs to drink a cuppa looking at the beautiful garden and listen to the waves only meters away. The beach is truly that close. And what a beach.... beautiful sand and clean. Certainly worth staying. We did not see the owners at all but that was fine as did not need to. Their correspondence/ communication by email was excellent.

  • Allseasons is a superb place to use as a base to explore Christchurch and the surrounding beaches. The easy access to/from all of the local beaches is perhaps the most important factor for the location. The comfort and tranquility of the bungalow is hard to describe - it is wonderful for all, including our four-legged friends. The full-size conservatory brings warmth and light as well as a place for coats, boots and dogs to dry off a little. We will certainly return again in 2020.

The Jetty: A luxury Holiday Home situated at Mudeford, Christchurch on Sandhills Holiday Park. The views of the harbour from the lounge and decking are amazing and ever changing, and the sandy beach is but a short level walk away. The Jetty is fully equipped for a truly relaxing holiday - open plan living and dining with all necessary kitchen equipment, including dishwasher! The lounge has a flat screen smart TV and DVD player. Two bedrooms, 1 ensuite, plus additional toilet facilities. Bed linen and bathroom towels are included, however, please bring your own beach / pool towels. Wrap around decking area with table, chairs and parasol. Parking is adjacent to the property Dogs welcome. Sandhills Park is a fairly small boutique site, which boasts an outdoor heated pool, small gym, lounge and bar. Wi-fi is provided free in both the clubhouse and property. Mudeford & Christchurch Christchurch was a renowned smuggling town and The Jetty is just a short walk from the historic Mudeford Quay where in 1784 smugglers skirmished with Customs and Excise officers. So kids bring those cutlasses, eye patches and skull and crossbones, oh and a parrot if you have one! It is still a working quay today with fishing boats venturing out most days so why not say hello to Pete on boat Deja Vu (SU21) and see how his day has been. Christchurch harbour is a great place for water sports from windsurfing to sailing and the Highcliffe sailing club is based on the Quay. The Dorset region Christchurch - the sign says 'Where Time is Pleasant' and it's right. From the lively Monday market to the great shops and restaurants along the high street it is a great coastal town. It is a short trip in the car or by the Ferry that leaves from Mudeford Quay. The New Forest - a National Park situated on the south coast of England. The landscape is a mix of heathland, grassland, bogs and woods. Bournemouth - the famous seaside resort with miles of beaches, loads of restaurants, bars, clubs and great shopping. Other Attractions - Alice in Wonderland maze Theme Park, Serendipity Sams, Go Ape at Moors Valley, TowerPark with its Multiplex Bowling and Splashdown Indoor Water Park to list just a few.
