Superbe séjour dans une belle maison agréable et spacieuse: 5 adultes et 4 enfants avec un espace de vie pour chacun. Tout est prévu pour que les vacances commencent bien; un très bon accueil, de délicates attentions nous attendaient pour nos premiers repas. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié la piscine; nous nous souviendrons que nos enfants y ont appris à nager. Et de bonnes adresses à Montboyer, dans la campagne charentaise : - le bistrot des halles et ses soirées à thème - la boulangerie bio de Painpoline. On recommande! Merci encore ;-)

We spent a very pleasant weekend at Herman! The cottage is great, perfect for a group of friends. We had a very good reception. I highly, highly recommend!

As a group of 16, 8 adults and 8 children (7yrs and under) the barn was ideal. Lots of space for the children to play and socialise. The area is quiet and peaceful whilst being a good base for exploring further afield. Herman was very helpful and welcoming, often popping over with treats from his garden such as figs and blackberries. The barn is basic but well equipped, we brought our own linen but the kitchen had everything we needed as well as a charcoal barbecue and outdoor gas burner.

We were looking to get away from city life, out into the countryside for fresh air and relaxation, and this was the perfect spot. The gite is a renovated barn next to the main house where our very welcoming hosts Beuke and Dirk reside. We felt very comfortable in the spacious gite which was clean and had a lovely atmosphere with lots of natural light. We also had an outside area in the big garden which we shared with the friendly cats and chickens that overlooked the surrounding countryside and Walnut trees. Our hosts were very friendly and hospitable, we felt right at home in their company when we chatted with them during our stay. On arrival we even had fresh eggs waiting for us. With only a 10min max drive to the quaint 'must see' village Aubterre -sur Dronne the location was perfect for our needs. Would recommend without a doubt and would love to go back again soon.

Very welcoming and pleasant discovery of the deposit. It is clean, charming, well appointed and furnished with everything you need (kitchen equipment, sheets, towels) for a few days without asking any questions in this calm and peaceful hamlet. The plus (especially in February) remains the fireplace to dusk. It is also very well located for visiting the many monuments of the region. Thank you again for a wonderful stay and we hope to come back to see the garden in bloom!

A small nice house closer to the nature in which to spend a few days! Ideal for being green and forget about the noise of the city when city is ... Our guests have shown themselves available, attentive and very friendly. We recommend it especially if you have kids with chickens and trampoline.

Our family found a warm welcome at this lovely gite. Our hosts were very friendly and offered suggestions about what to see, especially Aubeterre which is a delightful village. The garden under the fig tree is wonderfully pleasant in fine weather, and the woodstove thoroughly warmed up the rooms during the chilly evenings. The comfortable beds and cozy comforters ensured a good night's rest.

An Airbnb way you like them, a magnificent site (aubeterre) and near the green périgort, a wonderful family and ultra attentive, the merit of the "Great Host" is not underestimated! ; 0) The house is even sweeter than the photos..bref go there with confidence! We loved seeing the chickens and cats coming squatted beside us! ; 0)

Baukje and his wife gave us warm welcome when we arrived. The barn was beautifully decorated and was surrounding by farm land and farm animals. It's a peaceful place. It's a perfect get-away from buzzing city life! I would highly recommend it to other guests :)

Very nice house near the pretty village of Aubeterre-sur-Dronne. The house had a pleasant atmosphere and was well equiped to suit all your needs. The owners made us feel very welcome and were always available in case we needed something.

The house is lovely and very well equipped, it is in a pretty peaceful location overlooking fields and woodland, but close to amenities. There are interesting towns and villages close by, the market in Riberac is fantastic and Aubeterre is charming. The freindly hosts made us very welcome and were on hand if needed, our stay was very short but I would highly recommend this comfortable house.

Jeremy that well mastered French is very welcoming to listen to any reasonable request from the slot hôte.Le is well thought out and provides independent living in all (URL HIDDEN) property is in the center position of the small town to the access to walk to all amenities.

We stayed a week in Jeremy's apartment, which was as described. Has everything you need, did not miss anything less. Although we do not take much the pool and garden, it is a very pleasant place to spend a few days and a good base for exploring the surrounding as Bordeaux, Angouleme, Perigaux, St. Emilion ... Jeremy is very nice and made us very comfortable and easy. We facilitated cot and bath for baby h was outstanding that we were comfortable. Definitely a good place to stay if you want to know this area of France.

Liz and Jeremy were very welcoming and discreet after our late arrival. Jeremy is open and accommodating to people's needs. The gite is a few minutes walk to all amenities and is very comfortable and cosy. There are two supermarkets in the nearby area, two bio shops, a butcher, multiple patisseries, a bar and restaurant, a farmers' market, a weekly street market and the property is within easy reach of the Bordeaux/Bergerac vineyard area and of the Atlantic shoreline of the bay of Biscay. We had a great and peaceful Christmas here (Liz and Jeremy even left a small Christmas tree with welcoming wine and culinary package to us). Thank you for your great hospitality! Liz et Jeremy étaient très accueillants et discret après notre arrivée tardive. Jeremy est ouvert et accommodant aux besoins des gens. Le gîte est à quelques minutes à pied de toutes les commodités et est très confortable et confortable. Il ya deux supermarchés dans les environs, deux boutiques bio, un boucher, des pâtisseries multiples, un bar et restaurant, un marché des agriculteurs, un marché de rue hebdomadaire et la propriété est à proximité du vignoble de Bordeaux / Bergerac et de la Atlantique de la baie de Biscaye. We had a wonderful week at Maison des Rosiers. The lovely pictures of the accommodation are an accurate representation of the gîte but still don't quite manage to do it justice. It is even more beautiful in real life! It is immaculate and clean inside and out with everything you can possibly imagine you might need, including a picnic basket for days out. The extra touches of Nick’s beautiful paintings reflecting the surrounding country side are a lovely addition. Véronique and Nick made us feel very welcome during our stay and were available to help us when needed but also gave us lots of space to use the pool and facilities. The table tennis was a real hit with our teenage son! The gîte is situated in a very small village and is quiet and rural, with walks on the doorstep. The surrounding countryside is picturesque and there is plenty to do close by and a little further afield. A visit to Brantome (the Venice of the Perigord) is worth a trip (about 1hr) as it is a delightful place to wander around. We would strongly recommend staying here and hope to be back soon. Thank you again to Véronique and Nick for making our visit so special. This was the perfect place to stay for our family holiday with something to do for each of the three generations. We absolutely loved it and have many happy memories.

We were recently honoured to be one of the first familes to stay for a fortnight in this truly exquisite gîte. Prior to our arrival, the communication with Véronique & Nick had been excellent with every single query dealt with quickly and efficiently with a pleasant, personable manner. After a smooth journey we arrived and were immediately blown away by the location and the gîte itself plus there was a lovely, warm welcome from the delightful hosts. They enthusiastically showed us around and we all instantly agreed that the property was even nicer than the photos, which just don't do it justice! Situated in the tiny, rustic village of Saint-Laurent-des-Combes near a beautiful old church, La Maison des Rosiers is a magnificent place. Its a real haven of cosiness and tranquilty ideal for familes who want to relax in beautifully calm and idyllic aurroundings. Inside, the heart of this immaculate house is a huge open plan kitchen diner with a wonderful mezzanine above that leads to four wonderful bedrooms, all with their own unique charm. Outside, a pathway from the house leads to a stunning pool, al fresco dining area and beautiful garden that became our oasis of relaxation for a large part of the holiday. Nearby, nestled amongst the stunning fields of sunflowers and vinyards, you will find lovely towns and villages to explore, plus lakes and rivers with beaches where you can swim and kayak. We had taken up Véronique & Nick's kind offer of a French style cold buffet with apperetifs and wine, some of which was served outside. It was nothing short of splendid and well worth it; a pleasurable start to the holiday and a taste of things to come. Throughout our stay, interaction with our approachable hosts (who live in the ajoining cottage) was always a pleasure and we had many good conversations with lots of helpful suggestions being offered. I think they could tell we were all hugely impressed by their property and services. We can't recommend La Maison des Rosiers more highly - we have stayed in many stunning places but this has instantly become one of the very best. It's easy to fall in love with its rustic charm and is somewhere you'll want to return to and recommend to friends and family, which we have. Thank you, Véronique & Nick, for your wonderful hospitality. We very much hope to return and see you again and wish you all the best of luck with our venture.
