This place was beautifully kept and Rhonda is a great host. Good communication, accommodated our later arrival, and was able to tell us lots of places to go in the local area. If you want to stay up late, this place is not set up for that, as noise travels between the basement apartment (where people are living full time) and the inn. If you're after a quiet stay this place is lovely.

They were super helpful! Grill was out of propane and they went out and got us some! I needed medication for a headache and they were quick to help. Would definitely stay again and recommend!

We adored the Maple Leaf Cabin! WHAT A VIEW!!! We would love to come back in the warmer months & enjoy Miss Maple. We really loved the canoe, the large screened in porch, & the fact that Shawn had everything we could ever need & more available to us! I loved reading the hand written reviews in the guest book. It was neat to hear other people's experiences from every season. I was disappointed when I saw rain in the forecast but the boys fished in their raincoats while I went antiquing. It was perfect! This was our very first AirBnb experience & we are hooked!

This is a terrific spot. The outdoor firepit and view is very relaxing. You're on the end of a point so even though neighbors are either side, it still feels very private. We caught bluegills and perch at the dock, fed swans and ducks. Grilled and sat around the fire pit relaxing by the water. The place is very small, so be aware that this isn't a roomy place inside if the weather turns or is cold. We had great weather so we're outside quite a bit, between the screened in porch, fire pit and dock. We even managed a paddle in the canoe.

The Maple Leaf is magical. It was the perfect cozy winter cabin for us and our dog with lots of maple/fish/duck details throughout. We spent several hours out by the fire watching the sunset, ducks, and swans. Cabin is walking distance to restaurants, bars, grocery store, and post office. Can't wait to come back in warmer weather to enjoy the canoe and screen porch.

Very cozy cabin on lakefront and close to bars, restaurants, and movie theater. Unfortunately the water level was too low to take the canoe out. Beautiful getaway from Chicago. Anniversary vacation was a success.

We overlooked a message about our expected arrival time from Tom and Anjte, who live on the farm. However, Penny was there to greet us and show us around. Later, we did meet Tom and Anjte who were both so warm and welcoming. We stayed in "The Treehouse" which is sort of like a private bunk house with its own staircase. There was a door outside nearby that led onto the quaint grounds. Being out in the countryside offered some peace from traffic noise that we've grown accustomed to; the only sounds that accompanied our stay were the sounds of wildlife and farm animals. We enjoyed a relaxing evening with a campfire and glass of wine and had a leisurely breakfast we made ourselves in their fully-equipped kitchen. Plus, we basically had the whole house to ourselves for our short stay (even on a holiday weekend)! Lily Hill Farm is comfortable, clean, and well-kept.

We had to find someone to check us in, but after we did it was good. The building is lovely and clean. We appreciated our comfortable beds and the bathrooms were decent. We were hoping for breakfast since it was on the listing, but there was none, so we had to go out for food in the morning. We made some coffee for ourselves before we left and there was tea too, so that was nice.

My family had a great experience at the Lily Hill Farm! Hosts are very friendly and house is charming and spacious and we felt like at home. Owners accommodated every request we had. Most of the time we felt like we had entire house to ourselves. My kids loved playing with different music instruments. Wife and I enjoyed relaxing in front of the wood-burning stove. We also enjoyed exploring farm with chickens and cows as well as going for a hike in a near-by woods. A perfect place to unplug from today's busy world. Not having a breakfast was a minor inconvenience. Owners offered us milk and eggs and we brought some cereal and snacks from home so this wasn't a big problem.

We had a good time at Lily Hill Farm this past weekend. We were expecting an operating organic farm, but the gardens were long overgrown and clearly not the focus of the farm anymore. That being said, we were well accommodated. Lily Hill is nestled in a beautiful, peaceful area of Michigan. We were visiting relatives in Kalamazoo also and it was a quick trip to get there. Penny met us upon arrival, gave us a tour of the home and the room we had requested, then offered a different room that we had not seen available as it better suited our family. One of our sons has restrictive dietary needs currently, so it was wonderful to be able to bring our food and have access to a huge kitchen. Penny was friendly and interesting, would have enjoyed chatting with her more. As it was, we were in and out and did not see her again until just before checkout. Our boys enjoyed exploring and seeing chickens and cows on the property. It was nice.

We had a great time!! The house, is super cute. It had everything we needed. The kayaks were a nice addition at no extra charge. The lake was really warm and clear. It was weedy as we were told but once you get in your floaty you never know. The washer and dryer came in handy with all the swimming clothes and towels. The 2nd bathroom was a huge plus with 7 adults. The only issues were the odor of the water, which we were aware of beforehand and brought plenty, and the comfort of the beds. We should have all tried them first instead of just picking rooms by location. (Some prefer soft, some prefer firm.) If we are ever in need of a place to stay in the area we will definitely stay again. Thank you for being so helpful and responding quickly if I had a question.

We had a great time at the Country Lakehouse Retreat! Everything we needed was there for our use. The sand area was a little small, but our kids are little so it was really perfect for them. We kayaked, played in the sand, and swam the whole time! The lake itself is a little weedy and mushy, but overall it's a nice private location. It's the perfect place to relax for the weekend. Great little town for our weekend retreat!

We took our annual family cabin trip here and really enjoyed our stay. We had 6 adults and 5 toddlers and there was enough space for everyone. The kids enjoyed the tree swing and playing hide and seek in the large yard. The beach was nice but does drop off just a few feet out (which we were warned about prior) so there wasn't much swimming area for the little ones but we still had fun! We really enjoyed the kayaks and canoe and caught a few fish off the dock. The basement bathroom is really nice and the whole place was very cutely decorated. John and Christine were very communicative through the whole process, even offering suggestions for things to do on a rainy day. All and all it was a great stay!

We had an amazing time at this beautiful lake house. The view & lake were breathtaking. We loved using the kayaks & since we were first timers, we were surprised how easy it was to drive them. The bonfire was a perfect scene for playing catch phrase around the fire. The beds were comfy and clean. We had a problem with fruit flies on our first night but John sent over the cleaning lady asap to spray and clean them up. He allowed us an early arrival and let us hang out on the beach after check out. John is very friendly & prompt. We are already planning another trip back. Thanks for everything John & Christine.

We had a fantastic time at the lakehouse! The house was just as described- old but charming and with many modern comforts. The second bathroom was a must with 8 adults. We took full advantage of the relaxing front porch, fire pit and grill, and of course the kayaks and canoe. The lake was calm and quiet and big enough to explore but not too big. The water was pretty clear and the perfect temperature for swimming. I am not a huge fan of lake swimming, but I was totally comfortable here! We bought veggies from a local farmer and got ice cream at The Sugar Bear in town. The well water took some getting used to (strong sulfur smell) and we opted for bottled water to drink and for coffee & ice. The beds weren't the most comfortable, but there were a couple nice couches and plenty of space for all of us. We really enjoyed our time in Paw Paw. Thank you to our hosts!

We loved our stay at the Country lakehouse in Paw Paw MI. The house was perfect for our weekend trip. Large front yard with grill and firepit near the front porch was where we spend most of our time. The private dock and beach was a nice touch but we didnt use it. The lake/private dock is in the front of the house across the small street. Kayaks and a canoe was available for our use but unfortunately we didnt have enough time to enjoy those. A/C and water works very well. 2 full bathrooms. It is well water so it might surprise you if you arent used to it but host gave me a heads up beforehand. Wifi was a nice touch too. Check-in and out process was easy. Great communication. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and greatly appreciate Christine and her husband letting us stay for the weekend! I would 100% stay here again and recommend to everyone.

Absolutely wonderful. Perfect size for family gatherings

Host was very accommodating and the place was clean, inside and out. Even though we went a little “pre-season” before the hot summer weather, we really enjoyed our stay. The early 1900s craftsman house is true to character in what they described and is very charming. It was a great escape from the big city with lots of wild life too. Most enjoyable was sitting on the old fashioned swing on the front porch and listening to the birds. Fire pit was amazing! Also great area for walking, as there is an old county road that wraps around the lake, everyone is very super friendly! Only disappointment was that the weather wasn’t warmer. I cant wait to come back in the summer months!

This mini-vacation that we shared at Jan and Dale's Water& Vine property is now referred to in our family as "The catch of the summer"! The first reason is that Jan and Dale have a gem of a property and we are truly lucky that they are sharing it with others. The beautiful coach house, yard, pool area and lake front was just as pictured and everything was perfectly maintained. We had a multi-generational group and the house fit us well with a first floor bedroom for my parents and the loft beds for my little nieces. The stairs to the lake aren't steep and there is only 17 so it was easy for everyone to get up/ down. The yard was huge and perfect for bocce ball in the morning, scavenger hunts in the after-noon and flashlight tag at night. The pool and hot tub were enjoyed a lot! Besides the property, the town of Paw Paw has a lot to offer with wine tasting, brew house, restaurants and lots of inland fishing. Bringing us to reason #2 for the "catch of the summer" name. My husband and father were fishing nearby at Lake Cora and caught a large mouth bass that weighed 7 1/2 - 8lbs! Every time that fishing story gets told (which will be often I'm sure!) we will think back to this wonderful time and the awesome place we stayed. Thanks again Jan and Dale!

We had an excellent stay!

Jan and Dale are the perfect hosts, ever since we booked the house they were in contact with us, providing all the information we needed about the activities to do at the area and answered all our questions in order to make our stay the best possible. They were accessible the whole time and made us feel welcome and at home. Their house is exactly as described, lovely and cozy, perfect for a large group like ours. They provided us with more than enough towels and extra blankets. They have a huge garden and the campfires and hot tub were great. However, wifi was not working and the signal was limited. We also recommend guests to buy bottled water for their stay.

Good hosts and central location for us coming from 2 different states and 2 different countries. We had a big yard for our annual turkey bowl games and had a fire pit which the hosts started for us such that we could have s'mores. We recommend to other future travelers. The location and scenery would certainly be more ideal during the summer time.

Everything in the house seemed brand new! Many items were also already provided (dishes, cups, silverware, towels, etc.). There is a huge backyard in which the guests can play volleyball or badminton. Pool was super clean and deep enough on one side to dive in! Jan and Dale were excellent hosts. They were very approachable and were always there to help! Our group had a great time and would definitely come back again!

Our family and our friends' families that joined had a wonderful time! The hosts were so friendly! Everything you read about them from reviews is true! They were more than willing to set up some yard games for us and provide us with extra things when we needed them, even early morning on a weekend. The carriage house was the perfect getaway place. Our kids had an absolute blast in the "kids" room, especially our boys. They haven't stopped talking about it or the hot tub and pool. I was very impressed with how clean it was, I'm a clean freak and it was up to my standards. The beach was awesome for the kids and adults. We really enjoyed having the bonfire on the beach. I couldn't say enough nice things about our trip. For our first airbnb place, it will be hard to top.

We had an amazing experience while we stayed in the carriage house on Jan's property! The home looks straight out of a magazine and is so warm and welcoming, landscaping in impeccable and they welcomed us warmly! We chose to have a bachelorette party in their paw paw home with 10 women and we couldn't have had a better time! Dale was very helpful willing to help start fires for us anytime we'd like. Jan was also very attentive with household items we mught need being listed and where to find in the home. They left their personal numbers listed to make sure we could reach them for any help at all. Jan even walked over more tp when we ran out lol. They set up volleyball and bad mitten and we were even able to cruise the road on their pedal bikes and check out this beautiful lake. No doubt in my mind we will visit again!!

Let me start off by saying that Jan's lake house is even more beautiful in person! She was so quick in responding and a truly amazing host. Her and her husband greeted us upon arrival and it's rare to meet people who are truly genuine. It felt like I had arrived with family. She gave us a tour of their lovely home and seriously went above and beyond. The house itself as I said, is BEAUTIFUL! We were a family of 7 and we had more than enough space to enjoy. The home is situated a few feet from a lake. Unfortunately due to weather conditions, we couldn't enjoy it however we were not disappointed as we all enjoyed being inside the cozy lake house. It's also located in a wooded area which I can only guess is even more amazing in the summer. I can't say absolutely anything bad about the place or experience. The ONLY thing I regret is not staying longer. If Jan will let me, I would love to go back in the summer.

This was my first experience with AirBnB and it was absolutely fantastic. Tim was a wonderful host and anytime we contacted him he responded almost immediately. The house was more than we could have ever expected and we are already discussing staying again At this location for our next family get together.

Just stayed for a weekend ski trip for my wife's birthday. There were 8 of us and there was more than enough space! The house is absolutely beautiful, overlooking a lake. The tiki bar was a nice touch and was central in the evenings for casual drinks and board games. Tim is an amazing host and everything was better than expected. Communication with Tim was perfect. I highly recommend and would definitely come back! Thank you!

We booked this house for a group of high school girl friends to celebrate our 60th birthday! It was a great choice! There was plenty of room for 13 of us and room for one more. There are many different places in this house to gather whether all together or a few separate groups. The Tiki bar was our favorite spot! We plugged in our IPhones into the house music system which was perfect! We also took advantage of the Kayak and canoe and took a peaceful tour around the lake and saw some wild life and nature on the lake. Hanging out on the pier was a favorite of ours also. There was plenty of parking for our group. The neighbors were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay so much that we hope to make this an annual trip! A big thanks to our host for everything!

This is a great place and is highly recommended. Beautiful quite lake with a nice backyard and porch. The house was clean and had everything you could need to make meals for a big group. Plenty of beds (and they were comfortable too). We would love to come back again next year!

Our stay at Anthony Manor was excellent. It was a spacious new lakefront property right on the water. The lake was clear and beautiful, without too much boat traffic. We brought our own fishing rods and had an awesome time catching fish all week from the dock on the property. We particularly enjoyed the back patio where we could eat and view the lake. The backyard fire pit was also great for roasting marsh mallows. The house had wonderful views of the lake from inside as well. The house was also clean and gigantic, with plenty of space for a family of 8. It had all the amenities you could want and more. For example, the 2 full-sized kitchens had all new appliances and were stocked with all the cooking supplies (pots/pans/utensils/a high-end grill/cleaning products) we needed. It made cooking large meals very easy. Other amenities we enjoyed were the great wifi connection (I ran a speedtest and it was around 80 down / 15 up at the time, which is impressive) and 3 large televisions, including a PS3, dvd player, dvds etc. Michael was an excellent host. He was very responsive, which made things easy to coordinate. Overall, we truly enjoyed staying here, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful vacation spot.

The home was beautiful and equipped with everything you need! There is a boating rock you can use so I would recommend renting a pontoon boat as we did. I would love to stay here again.

We just spent the week with another family in this home and had a wonderful vacation. The house is beautiful and is in excellent condition. The view of the lake is from the house was breath-taking. There was plenty of space for 2 (or even three families) and the pictures perfectly represent the property. The owner was highly responsive and had the house stocked with many amenities that made traveling easier, i.e. toilet paper, soap, laundry detergent, etc. We would definitely stay here again. There is also a dock on the property so I would encourage visitors to rent a pontoon boat so you can access the beautiful & very clean spring-fed lake.

The house is not as advertised - was not as nice as the pictures show. Yes there was a nice lake in the back with a good neighborhood but the house quality was not there. 1.) The upstairs wrap porch railing is unsafe. It moves a lot and feel like you will fall off if you lean on it slightly. Do not stay close to the railing. 2.) The house is listed as a 2 bathroom house. When we got to the house, there was a note saying that the downstairs toilet did not work due to "plumbing issues". That is not acceptable for 8 people that were all coming back at the same time. 3.) The last step on the porch steps was loose, and when I stepped on it, it flipped up and almost stabbed me. All in all, great location. Not the best experience.

Our family LOVED this beautiful Lake House in Kalamazoo. It was clean, comfy and the private beach and clean lake made playing in the water a great activity for all ages of our big family. We agree with the comments made by the previous reviews but feel confident that Michael will be fixing those things soon since the house was in great repair otherwise. We can't wait to come back and stay again.

We had a weekend getaway with the girls here! There was a total of 13 of us and we had a blast. We spent a majority of our time down on the sandy beach that was great and even had a fire place. Michael was a great host and was available to be reached by phone if we needed to. The lake itself is nice and has a lot of turtles and fish! We enjoyed our stay very much!

Very fun house and location. The neighbors were very nice and offered the use of their water toys as well as a boat ride on the lake. The beach was great and so was the fire pit. Mike was very quick to fix a couple minor issues. We will definitely consider coming here again.

We had a great time here. Michael was quick to answer all of my questions. It was a wonderful home for a weekend getaway. Our only complaint was the shower door was broken the day we arrived. It was tough for 10 people to share one shower. Somehow we did manage. I would recommend staying here.

Great small home on a beautiful lake. Only about 20 minutes from downtown Kalamazoo. Communication from host was great, and she was flexible when we had to make an emergency last minute change to our plans.

Even upon coming into the neighborhood area there is just a great and comfy feeling on coming to this lake house. Very spacious for the size of the house and has a wonderful view of the whole lake. It was perfect for us as I actually proposed to my girlfriend in front of it for the rest of the group so it added a lot to the moment. I would definitely come back here when I come back for another craft brewery tour. If you are into craft beers this is pretty close to a lot of them. Thanks again Patti!

My girlfriends and I had a great weekend at the lakehouse in mid-November. It was well-equipped, cozy and Patti was very helpful. We enjoyed watching the first snow fall of the year over the lake. Definitely recommend!

Truly beautiful cottage with an amazing view of the lake. It was so relaxing to just be in the cottage, it was everything I had hoped for: clean, contemporary, & full of natural light. This beautiful home was a wonderful place for a weekend getaway! Even though the weather was crummy and we didn't get to take advantage of the outdoor space, we love our stay at the eagle lake house and can't wait to get back! Lyft and Uber were available to take us to and from downtown Kalamazoo.

We stayed at Patti's brand new, super clean lake house while visiting our daughter in Kalamazoo. This lakefront property was perfect for our visit, and really made it a great vacation. We are so glad we chose it rather than a hotel or an apartment. The weekdays were very quiet, and the weekend was buzzing with neighboring families and children having a blast on the lake. Patti is a kind and accommodating host. She offers a gorgeous spot on the lake, about 20 minutes from downtown. The pictures are accurate, but it's even better in person. Thank you so very much, Patti! Your home provided us a beautiful and comfortable space to spend family time together and make some great memories.

This home is very lovely. The decor is beautiful, the scenery is peaceful, and the home is comfortable and very well stocked. It rained the entire weekend so we didn't get to enjoy the lake tots but next time I'm going to go out on the kayak provided! Thank you Patti! Graduation celebration was made even better!

Great little cottage! It is bigger than it appeared in the photos from my perspective. Nice size to even entertain a few guests and all be comfortable. Well equipped kitchen with modern updates and touches throughout. Very glad we stayed. Thanks!
