Your private cozy cabin has 1 bedroom, 1 office, 1 full bath, kitchen, and living-room. The cabin is a refreshing retreat after busy day exploring Yosemite. In the evening be amazed by the star filled sky. Relax on the front, back or side patio. Coffee, tea, bottled water are provided for your stay. Located just 7 miles from Hwy 140 and 4 miles from Hwy 49. Arch Rock entrance is only 34Mi/55KM away! Receive a 85% Transient Occupancy Tax credit by sending me TOT85%CR prior to your arrival.
Welcome to the Mariposa Lilypad! *The cabin is ideal for a MAXIMUM of 2 guests. Unfortunately, additional guests are not accepted due to permit limitations. *Children over the age of 12 months are considered guests. *Couples traveling with an infant under the age of 12 months are permitted since infants do not require their own bed. Above are the general limitations for our occupancy. That being said, I will be happy to answer any questions you have. Please inquire for separate sleeping arrangements. On the property, you will notice that there are 2 small cabins. One on the lower driveway structure is our miner's house that is used to find gold through out the year. The 2nd structure on the upper driveway is Lily's playhouse. Both cabins are securely locked and are restricted from guests. If you arrive at night, be mindful that there are no street lights. The Cabin has a porch light and a motion sensor security light. There is a flashlight hanging by the front door that you're welcome to use. On each side of the cabin is a light that stays on all night. #mountainlife
During your stay, you will find that the area is incredibly private and peaceful. You can tell by the photographs that the home is in a secluded location. Additionally, cross traffic is little to none making it easy to stay in a restful state of mind.
  • Cute cabin, feels remote and wild - very quiet, but still not too far to drive into mariposa for supplies etc. Good base to explore Yosemite if you don’t mind the drive into the park each day.

  • Me and my wife stayed at the crane suite and it’s the perfect place. The space is a lot bigger then I was expecting and all the amenities are stylish and modern. It had the best view of the sunrise right over the mountains and we will definitely miss waking up to that every morning. It’s just far enough from the town, but also not so far from Yosemite. Thank you Lee and Christine! We loved our stay here

    Yasser2020-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • Lee and Christine's place had everything required for a comfortable stay. Especially loved the hot tub. Perfect location to start your trip to Yosemite. Lee is available to help with any questions you may have about the area. I'll stay here again when im in the area.

Clouds Rest Studio is conveniently located in the town of Mariposa, on the way to Yosemite. The studio features a queen-sized bed, a kitchenette, a brand new bathroom, and a spacious outdoor patio. After a day of visiting Yosemite, you can enjoy a glass of wine on the patio and then walk to nearby restaurants. The studio is a ten-minute walk to the grocery store, a YARTs bus stop, coffee shops, a historic courthouse, a museum, and multiple restaurants.
Clouds Rest Studio will provide a relaxing home base for your Yosemite visit. The patio, shared with the main house, offers comfortable outdoor space for grilling, dining, or snoozing in a hammock. The studio sits behind the main house and has a separate entrance and driveway. Clouds Rest Studio is located in Mariposa, a historic gold rush town and one of the gateways to Yosemite. It is approximately 30 miles to the Arched Rock entrance to the Park. I will happily provide suggestions for your visit.
  • Very well thought out room with all the creature comforts. Truly sparkling clean. Modern with nice little touches including luggage racks and lots of info on Yosemite. Will couldn't have been nicer.

    Sandra2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great place to stay! Lots of thoughtful touches and good communication about the space. For instance, the light switches were labeled...silly as that is, it was thoughtful and really helped me to settle in quicker and enjoy my time. I really appreciated how easy it was to come/go from the studio. There's a parking spot and you don't feel like you're interrupting the hosts if you are traveling at an odd hour. I highly recommend this place!

  • Nice and clean.hearer worked really well and I enjoyed the soft water

  • Peace and warm place, great location close to restaurant.

  • Will’s place was such a great stay! It is only about 45 minutes from Yosemite Park entrance and Will has many books to refer to if you want to get more info on Yosemite. The room had a lot more space than I expect for 2 people. Will left us a nice welcome care package with water and snacks and even complimentary beers which was great after a long day of hiking. The location is great it’s about a 2 minute drive from all the main shops and restaurants. Everyone in Mariposa was so kind and friendly. The patio is very nice but unfortunately it was too cold to utilize. There is a separate private entrance and has its own drive way that you can easily unload all your luggage just steps away from the front door. Will had so many thoughtful touches that made our stay better. There are board games, many blankets and two heaters, even a hot plate if you want to cook. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Yosemite!

    Clarissa2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This will definitely be my go to place when I travel up to the Sierras to visit Yosemite. Will’s place has everything you need for a getaway!

  • Awesome place great value and location near Yosemite. Excellent hosts with just the right amount of communication. Perfect for a couple and very nicely decorated. Hot tub was a bonus! Highly recommend and we are very lucky when it comes to selecting Airbnb. I don't think you would be disappointed staying here. Only negative is it is close to the road so there is some highway noise. That did not bother us at all.

    George2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Lee and Christine’s place is the perfect spot to stay on your way to Yosemite. It was very clean, comfortable, extremely easy parking and had everything we needed. I would love to go back to see Yosemite and stay at their place again.

  • Stayed here while visiting Yosemite National Park. The stay was super comfortable & cozy. Everything is clean and orderly, loved the decorative details. The hot tub is an awesome perk to have after a fun day hiking! Simple and relaxing with all the basics you’ll need.

    Randy2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • The house is rather impressive. Everything was nice and clean and Karen i s a friendly host. Though about an hour away from Yosemite the drive up there charmed us too.

    Greet2019-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • Karen’s house is a great place to stay for a more homey feel while on the road near Yosemite. Karen was exceedingly friendly and hospitable, even though she had family at the house for a birthday dinner. It’s a little off the beaten path but she provides great directions and communication leading up to your stay!

    Taylor2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Really nice place to stay. Karen is really nice and the room is super clean. Perfectly located if you’re going to Yosemite.

  • This home is very clean and relaxing. It’s located a bit of a drive from the main road, but if you’re not going to be there much other than sleeping I highly recommend staying here. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very clean despite being a shared bathroom. Karen is a wonderful host that is very responsive and there to help with anything you will need.

    Valerie2019-10-15T00:00:00Z

Our two story home is set amongst a pine forest in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountain range. We are on an acre property that is part of a tranquil mountain community. Your private room is located downstairs with the views, smells and sounds of the forest. There is a queen bed with an adjoining bathroom (with shower, toilet and sink). There is a microwave, mini-fridge and coffee making facilities in your room. (But please note that we do not provide kitchen access to our guests). • Perfect place for our short stay, lovely drive to Yosemite didn't notice distance, maps and advice are up on the walls. Powerful shower, towels provided and comfy bed :) Kettle was a treat, parking great and Kaye was so lovely about us arriving late with flight delays - such a welcoming host in general with bonus dog!

  • SO PERFECT! Jennifer and Carl have done a great job with this space. It was so easy to find and check-in in etc. The hot tub was lovely and the mattress was super comfortable. Jennifer and Carl were very responsive. We stayed on Saturday night and went hiking in Yosemite on Sunday. Perfect place and everything we needed.

  • This place is such a gem! I can't express how much we loved our stay only regret was not staying longer.

    Areli2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • The Butterfly Suite is an amazing find. We used it as our base to explore Yosemite Valley. Carl and Jennifer were great hosts, communicating well right from us booking, and all the way through to checking if we were okay during the stay. The accommodation has everything you could possibly need - amenities to make food, super clean & comfortable and an awesome hot tub with an incredible view of the night’s sky. Hands down the best airbnb we’ve stayed in!

    Kate2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Very comfortable and clean place they have. The hot tub was relaxing after a day of hiking at Yosemite. Check in instruction were helpful.

  • This place was so cozy and comfortable, the hot tub was perfect!

    Pheng2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Although I recommend this place. You need to know that you will be charge for every minute that you go over the checkout time. I host an AirBnB and give or take an hour or two we don’t charge late fees. I think we were 30 to 45 minutes late getting out and the host is asking us to pay an extra $30. They said they need to pay the cleaning people the for waiting. I went out side and never saw anyone and I photographed the entire property and no one was anywhere. I would suggest not having cleaning people sitting just waiting for someone to leave and if they are there they should knock as they do at a hotel let you know they are there to clean. That is the customary process. Secondly. I met the very nice cleaning person the day after I checked in. I did not see them ever attempt to see if we were ready to leave on the day of checkout. I never saw them out side anywhere. Well that was my experience.

    William2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • This place greatly exceeded my expectations. The hosts, location, value were well above par!

    Logan2020-02-02T00:00:00Z

My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. Yosemite National Park is near Cedar Haven BandB. I provide a full breakfast for your enjoyment at a time of your choosing.
Located in a quiet neighborhood in the Sierra National Forest. Approximately one hour to the entrance to Yosemite National Park. A Scenic drive on country roads and along the wild and scenic Merced River Canyon on highway 140. A quiet and private space for your enjoyment.
Mariposa Pines is located 16 miles from Mariposa. Elevation 4000'. Heavily wooded area. Periods of snow in winter and cooler temperatures during the summer make this a pleasant climate. We experience all four seasons. Chains are rarely required from Mariposa to my home and from my home to Yosemite. If they are required it is usually for a very short period of time. The roads are plowed and well-maintained.
  • My friend and I absolutely loved staying at Chris’s place. The location was beautiful, the room comfortable and cosy. Breakfast was delicious and perfectly catered to our dietary needs (vegan). Chris offered great information to help us hike in Yosemite at the difficulty level we were looking for and to navigate a tricky road closure situation. We also really enjoyed the great conversation (and we’re normally on the more introverted side). Recommend 100%!

    Heidi2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • The place is lovely. Christine is very nice and provides you with useful information about the park. She also provides a very generous breakfast.

    Mariana2019-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Loved breakfast that Christine made for us. She made us feel very welcome and had great tips for us for exploring Yosemite. Great location not too far from the park. The house was immaculate. She had great stories of her travels and was an incredible host.

    Rahul2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was fine.

    Michael2019-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks for having us to stay, your local knowledge was invaluable and the breakfasts were always a great start to our long days in the valley!

    David2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent accommodation for couples. Room with refrigerator, microwave and private bathroom, exquisite homemade breakfast. A bit out of Yosemite but Christine's kindness and the tranquility of the area make it worthwhile.

    Nicolas2019-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • On our tour of California we had some really good accommodations, but our stay at Christine was just amazing !!! A beautiful house in the middle of the forest, plus a unique room with top bathroom and plenty of space, all super clean with fluffy carpet included :) As if that was not enough, Christine has prepared us every day a delicious breakfast. What we did not expect was that we also got insider tips for our trip to the Yosemite National Park. Christine herself is super cute, warmhearted and fun to drive, just great! A perfect stay, thank you Christine!

    Tobias2019-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • This is the best Airbnb where I stayed so far. Chris takes care of your energy by making delicious breakfasts in the morning to start the day. She also give good recommendations and places to visit. The place looks even better then the pictures. This is absolutely the place to be if you want to visit Yosemite. Keep in mind that you have to drive 1 hour to get to the entrance. But that was no issue for us. You’re receiving a great hospitality.

We like to make sure you have time to pursue the various scenery that catches your attention. After that, you make your way to Glacier Point and begin your 2-day hike. You will summit Sentinel Dome, pass through Taft Point, and hike through a remote pine forest before arriving to camp for the night. Day 3 - You will either wake up at Bridalveil Creek or Dewey Point depending on where you camped. After Dewey Point, you will cross Crocker Point and Stanford point before descending back down into Yosemite Valley, arriving at Tunnel View where your car will be parked. You will likely finish early and have most of the day remaining to pursue your own activities again. This can be an additional hike or your choice of relaxation. Day 4 - Pack up your gear, then return it to the Yosemite Valley Post Office to be returned to us for cleaning!
  • Incredibly easy way to go on a beautiful, memorable trip with everything sorted for the self guided hike. The campcrate team are very communicative and ready to help with any questions, we would definitely reccomend!

  • A fantastic experience at a beautiful place!

    Chris2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • I thoroughly recommend this experience. I came over from Australia and planned ahead for some months. I’m not a hiker so I was a little bit nervous about my abilities and the fact I was travelling by myself. Right from the start Chad and Camil were fantastic. Their communications and advise were outstanding. I was a little bit naive and very busy at home before I left, but their instructions and processes were a major relief. From getting my camp crate sent to an Airbnb I was staying at in San Fran to the equipment and food and advise they supplied it was smooth sailing and a wonderful experience.. I even came face to face with a bear...Man they can run fast (in the opposite direction thank god.... pussies). I am very impressed and grateful for Chad and Camil taking care of all the hard stuff which I could not have managed myself..... well done guys.... great concept and great service.

    Andrew2019-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time with CampCrate. The views were stunning, the hikes were challenging, and the food was pretty good! I just wish that we had a little more time to explore all the nooks and crannies in the area, but there is always more time to return later :)

    Kimiro2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks for everything, it was amazing!

    Felipe2019-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had the best time on our trip to Yosemite, thanks to Chad and the CampCrate crew. We'd initially been just searching for accommodation in or around Yosemite (as we were traveling from NY, on a moderately long trip, and didn't want to bring / have all the gear for this camping trip) and thankfully we stumbled on the CampCrate listing here. They were super communicative and thoughtful: the gear was great (though you might want to specify if you're a smaller build, for the backpacks), we had plenty of food, and the instructions / maps were clear. And beyond just our trip, they were kind enough to give us local driving tips to make sure we made it to a wedding we had to be at in time! Chad also took a last-minute call from me while were shopping and was uber friendly! And the hike that we did (the Pohono Trail) was incredible—even with our (totally harmless and kinda fun) bear encounter! We had the trail mostly to ourselves (and we were there during high season), which was really nice. And then we camped out out at Dewey Point, which my partner and I agreed was the most beautiful place either of us have ever slept at. We marveled at the sunset, hung out by our campfire, and gazed at the stars. It was magical. So book a trip with these guys! One tips: if you have specific interests or requests, let them know. Our pacing was great, and we had plenty of time to stop at viewpoints, etc, but in retrospect, we may have asked for the same hike in reverse (to do with the views / experience). The CampCrate team is very considerate / sensitive to not giving folks anything too strenuous, but if you're game, let them know! They have lots of options, so do share with them what you're into, and I'm sure they'll curate a fantastic experience. Thanks for such a memorable few days :)

  • What a fantastic trip in Yosemite. Everything was arranged perfectly: our crate was waiting at our hotel when we arrived, permits were in place, and there were very detailed instructions on what we needed to be doing at each stage. We loved the hike itself - when we got away from Yosemite Valley, we hardly saw anybody, and the views were incredible. Chad was very helpful throughout, responding quickly, and helped organise an alternative route for us given our forward plans. I would highly recommend as a way to have a real self-camp experience, with clear guidance and support throughout.

    James2019-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • It was a great experience for us. Picking up the high quality equipment was easy and returning it at the UPS store also. Our arrival at Yosemite was unfortunately after 5pm and so we were not able to get the wilderness permit. Out bus to Glacier Point started at 1:30pm, so we had thought that it will be a relaxed morning but everything was crowded and everything delayed. We were at Valley Lodge just in time to get the bus tickets and leave the car there. The bus drive took about 90 minutes, so our trip started at 3pm. We were able to hike 6 miles (we even had seen bears) until sunset and found a good spot near Bridalveil Creek with a firespot to camp there. The next day, the 7 miles until Tunnel View were possible for 2 of our group and just enough. But there is no Shuttle Stop. So a part of our group had to hike another 4 miles. Came ack by car after 2 hours to pick up them. It could be a good idea that someone leave the car on the first day at Tunnel View and walk back to the next Shuttle Stop without backpack. At all it was a really nice trip.

  • Larry and Clen are incredible host, we enjoy talking with them and had a great time in here.

    Daniel2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Larry's place is a great place to stay when you want to visit Yosemite National Park. It's a 90 minute drive to the Visitor center in Yosemite Valley. We booked the cabin, but we got an upgrade to a bigger accommodation with kitchen and bathroom. We even got heated blankets which were perfect after a long day at the park. We want to thank Larry again and would come back again.

    Rebecca2020-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • Staying in the cabin was great. Immediately upon arriving we were greated by his wife who made us feel right at home. Larry provided detailed directions how to get there. There was a heater plus they provided electric blankets, so we were warm.

  • This is a great place to stay when you are going to Yosemite. It is clean and cosy, accompanied by an outstanding hospitality and thoughtful touches, such as a heated blanket. Everybody was also very friendly and Larry's got a good sense of humor. I would recommend the place! Oh, and there is also very tasty and clean drinking water there, do not miss out on that. :)

    Julia2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Larry's place is a great place to stay when visiting Yosemite. It is fairly close to highway 120, and the route to Yosemite has great views all the way. Although we had booked the cabin, we received a upgrade and got to stay in the main inn instead. The place was cozy and inviting, with all the amenities one could imagine. The breakfast options were plentiful , and provided a good start to the day. We highly recommend staying at this place!

  • The cabin is a must for those wanting to escape the busyness of life. While the cabin stay is equipped with a bed, refrigerator, lights, and heat, the shower and toilet are inside the main building. The simplicity of the cabin made my trip to Yosemite perfect. The stars and quiet wilderness around are well worth it. The hosts are incredibly kind and knowledgeable of the area. I am quite grateful for my stay at their place.

  • This is a great location for a Yosemite visit. Already inside the park, so you can avoid the crowds. We arrived earlier than check in time of 4pm so visited the sequoias at Mariposa and did a small hike to wowona point, then perfect time to check in, have a glass or two of wine on the balcony and relax ready for a full Yosemite tour the next day. I would recommend Shaylas place to all my friends and family.

  • Took a little less than an hour to get into Yosemite everyday. There were other people staying in the Airbnb but everyone was very respectful of each other. Did not have access to the kitchen so keep that in mind for eating purposes. Perfect for an affordable stay near the park while avoiding expensive lodging inside the park.

  • Great little house and very close to Yosemite. Check in and checkout was very easy as well. Inside, the house is modern and the shower has really good water pressure. I would definitely book again.

  • We had a magical experience visiting this area and this was a fantastic place to stay. We are so happy that we chose this option over a hotel. The host is lovely, helpful, and super responsive. You can tell that she takes pride in giving people a great experience and she knows what she is doing, down to the little details! The house itself was very comfortable and clean (and this is coming from someone that is hard to please.) The interior must have recently been updated because it looked and felt like a new place. It has a perfect kitchen for cooking, laundry facilities, a great bathroom with double-sinks and great water pressure in the shower, etc.! There is also plenty of space for parking. The location was a good middle-ground for us as we visited many destinations in the area during our stay. The drives along the windy roads have some excellent views and the stars really shine out there away from the city lights. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and we are very grateful for the fantastic experience!

  • Beautiful, cozy, very comfortable and stylish place to stay. Plenty of space, and Wonderfully located. Just about 10 minutes outside of Mariposa, so easy to get to food if you need anything. And closer toward Yosemite. It’s about an hour to get all the way to the visitor center down in Yosemite valley. There aren’t many places you can stay that are closer unless you’re right inside the park. And you can’t beat the convenience of a full Kitchen. We love staying here. We were working in the park, and this was really a refreshing renewing place to come to every night.

  • This is a fantastic place for exploring Yosemite! The cabin is well equipped, and very comfortable and peaceful. The location is great - just a short drive to the town of Mariposa which has good shops and restaurants, and a 35 mile scenic drive up to the park. Martine is a great and attentive host and she made us feel right at home! Would stay here again on a future trip to Yosemite.

When we come back to Yosemite we would always again choose this place to stay. Thank you very much Martine!

This spacious and private cottage accommodates 2-8 guests with two master suites, 2 full baths, a full-size kitchen, living room with sofa bed, dining room and generous outdoor deck with built-in BBQ. The first bedroom has a king size bed, the second bedroom has two queen size beds. Alpenglow 1 is surrounded by sun-loving Black Oak with views into the Merced Canyon. Each home is a perfect retreat for one family while all three can create the ideal base camp for a family reunion. • Awesome place to stay!

  • Amazing location about 40 minutes from Yosemite Valley visitor center. Quiet little mountain side neighborhood with not much to do around it but when you have the park so close it really didn't need anything else. We had some problem with the WiFi but it was after a day of heavy snowing so it was understandable that we didn't have any connection. Only phone that worked was one with Verizon (no ATT, TMobile, or Sprint service at the house). Overall it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend a house like this for 6-7 people.

    Lucas2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • This place was the perfect spot for Yosemite! We felt like we were at home but great views with those big windows! We woke up to snow and felt like we were in a scene of Narnia. I will def book this place again.

House is clean, and perfect for two couples with or without kids. Would rent here for a yosemite trip again and at any time of the year!

I welcome children or an additional adult. Children would need to sleep in your room. If requested, I can furnish a cot and/or a portable crib. $15 a day extra per people over the age of 12.
Quiet and friendly neighborhood complete with frequent visits from turkeys and mule deer. I have seen foxes, raccoons, skunks and a large variety of birds.
  • If you are planning on visiting Yosemite, stay here. You will be treated with the utmost hospitality and respect, and Christina will provide complimentary breakfast. Her two dogs are very friendly and cute. The bed is incredibly comfortable. You will love it here!

    Harrison2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Super Airbnb host!! The place was spotlessly clean with every little touch you could hope for to make it the perfect home away from home. Thanks again Christina!

  • Stay, just stay. Traveling to Yosemite? This is the place. Wandering around Bass Lake? You’re covered. Just wanting to check out Mariposa? Her home is near everything you need. Christina knows how to make someone feel at home. The room we stayed in was so warm and inviting not just in decor but also the comfort of the bed and the privacy the room provided. There were so many thoughtful touches too! The night of our check in she recommended an amazing eatery and it was the perfect touch to our day in Yosemite. The house was spotless even with two amazing, indescribably cute dogs (Emmie and Jesper). They had their own wing but she knew I was a dog lover and let me hang out with them at my leisure. The morning of our check out she had breakfast and coffee prepared for us. I will definitely be staying again and I love that I know what I’ll be getting: a kind host, lovely home, cute dogs, and driving distance from one of California’s greatest treasures. What more could you want?

  • Very nice. 10/10 would stay again.

    Daniel2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Very convenient location for travelers to Yosemite. Much better value than a hotel stay!

    Sam2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Cute place & not a far drive from Yosemite National Park. Christina was beyond sweet with chocolates and breakfast in the morning. Her two pups were so playful and you couldn’t even tell they were home. Best Airbnb stay we’ve had.

    Irma2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • My sister and I loved staying at Christina's! It was easy to check in (with a private entrance), she had tons of lovely little touches (breakfast left out for us, chocolates, tons of guidebooks and resources), and it was very very clean. Her place is SUPER close to Yosemite and the town of Mariposa was really charming and cute! We would've loved to spend more time there.

Our Oak Room 1 will make you will feel right at home. This room has a comfortable queen size bed, a dresser, a closet with hangers, a flat screen TV with a Roku streaming device and a private bathroom. The kitchen, living rooms and outside spaces are shared with other travelers and your hosts. The house sits on a little over 10 acres and is surrounded by Oak, Pine and Manzanita trees. Our rural neighborhood is peaceful with occasional visits from wildlife.
The room is private with a lockable door. There are other rentable rooms in this same house or the entire house can be rented out as well.
We are located almost half way between the South entrance and the West entrance. The West entrance is Hwy 140 through the town of Mariposa and takes approximately 45 minutes to get to the entrance. This is the quickest way to get to the valley floor. The South entrance is Hwy 41 through the town of Oakhurst and it takes approximately 1 hour to get to the entrance. This is the entrance I would recommend if you are going to the Mariposa Grove or to the Wawona area. Just beyond Oakhurst is the beautiful resort area of Bass Lake. With such places so close, all kinds of activities are yours for the choosing: fishing, water sports, snow sports, hiking, biking, golfing, rafting, historical tours, gold panning, rock climbing, zip lining, horseback riding, birding, and so much more.
  • Shell's place was sparkling clean and offered everything we needed. We had the master bedroom with its own bathroom. There is a kitchen with all the amenities you could think of, plenty seating inside and outside in a quiet neighborhood close to Yosemite national park. Shell responded immediately to our concerns regarding a wildfire in the area and check in was easy (door opens with code). Overall 5 stars!

    Konstantin2019-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Shell's place was conveniently located to go into the park in the morning, and the room was nice!

  • Shell’s apartament is fantastic, a good place to visit Yosemite park and all this incredible area from there. Shell is very kind and attentive, a great host, always worried about what we could need. Also her husband is very polite. The apartment is around 10 minutes from Mariposa, where you can find restaurants, shops, etc, and one hour away to the Yosemite park throught a nice road. I would highly recommend Shell’s house to stay in a confortable place without having to spend a hugh amount of money.

The Cottage on Campbell studio has an ideal location with a view overlooking the historic downtown Mariposa and situated within a friendly neighborhood. Take advantage of the close proximity to restaurants and shops, while being just 32 miles from the Arch Rock entrance to Yosemite National Park and 12 miles from the mighty Merced river. The space is large enough to accommodate 3 guests with a queen bed, futon bed, large kitchen, full bath, covered parking, Wifi, and a flat screen TV.
Take in the beautiful mountain views while relaxing on the covered patio! The Mariposa visitor center, YARTS bus stop, coffee shops, historic sites, and restaurants are all within walking distance (Note: it is 5 to 20 min walk to anywhere in downtown Mariposa, yet I would consider the walk moderately strenuous due to the hills in town and up to the studio)! The studio is very close to highway 140 for easy access to desired destinations.
  • Great cottage. I highly recommend.

  • Vicki’s place was very clean and I am glad I chose her place to stay over the weekend to see Yosemite. I recommend it to everyone!

    Katarzyna2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Vicki was so kind and helpful from the moment we booked her cottage. This is the perfect and most affordable location to stay close to Yosemite, with the YARTS transport into Yosemite just a walk away from the cottage. Very clean, comfortable, and many thoughtful touches that were much appreciated :) Thank you for offering your hospitality to us- Yosemite is the most incredible place we have ever been!

    Amy2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Vicki’s place is great, very conveniently located close to 140 in Mariposa. We only slept there one night to go to Yosemite and had a good sleep on her comfortable bed. She welcomed us with a bottle of wine and offered good coffee in the morning. The drive from her place to Yosemite gate is only about 45 minutes. We’ll be back!

    Han2020-02-25T00:00:00Z

Newly remodeled home sitting on the top of a hill with great views of the mountain peaks, a lake and wildlife. Kitchen, living space and bedroom are large sized rooms. Beautiful scenic ride to Yosemite which is about 47 miles from Yosemite National Park. Close to the town of Mariposa where there is shopping, restaurants, and events happening regularly in town.
It’s a one bedroom house located on top of a hill with a large newly remodeled kitchen. It has a covered outdoor patio. Backyard overlooks mountains!
Indian Peak is about 12 minutes to get to downtown Mariposa where there is fantastic restaurants and shops.
  • Such a wonderful home away from home. We used it as a base for venturing in Yosemite. Highly recommend and will hopefully stay again soon.

    Vincent2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • The house is gorgeous and the neighborhood is nice and quiet. The drive into town is very quick and the drive to Yosemite was fast and beautiful. Sandra and Tony were very helpful and replied quickly. I recommend this place and would love to come back some time :)

    Harrison2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • This was a perfect place to stay for my weekend trip to Yosemite. The house itself was stylish, comfortable, and spotless. It's a charming place and the views are amazing. Sandra was an excellent host. She responded very quickly and provided some great tips to help me enjoy my stay. The town of Mariposa is charming and it only took a reasonable, scenic drive to get into the park.

    Caitlin2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome kitchen! Comfortable beds. Close to Yosemite

    Stacy2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • This place was so cozy and the perfect location! We stayed here for two nights. The home is about an hour and a half drive to Yosemite, which we went to twice. It was nice coming home to a quiet and cozy location. The town of mariposa is close and has a great grocery store for all your needs. (Bring your own firewood for the fire place!). We’ll definitely be coming back.

    Dakotah2020-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • Sandras place was nice and cozy for our stay! We loved how the kitchen was fully stocked and the location was close to Mariposa.

    Lulu2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • My parents and I stayed at Sandra's place over the Christmas holiday and we loved our time there! It was quiet and peaceful get-away, with lovely views and long roads for nice walks outside. We even saw some wild turkeys! Our favorite part of the place was the kitchen - it's very spacious, has a beautiful wood island for preparing food and socializing, and is outfitted with absolutely everything you need to cook full meals. We were able to enjoy cooking and eating at home every night. We would definitely stay here again!

  • Check in & check out is super simple. It's roomy and the kitchen is fully stocked - although when we went there were no coffee filters, but no big deal. Has two full baths, a balcony, and a roomy living room. There seems to be a room for movies and for games that you can call to gain access to. We didn't use this as we brought our own, but could be a great space saver. We utilized the laundry room - it is 1.25 for washing and $1.50 for drying + $0.25 for every 7 minutes. Last wash is at 9PM. We were able to also use wifi which was a nice surprise. You can't access it in the room but you can access it in building B. Celia was very responsive, and the condo seems to be professionally managed.

  • Pictures don’t do this place justice. It’s a very special place that we will always remember and hopefully visit again. It was clean, relaxing and conveniently located near Yosemite and local shops. The view was amazing, lots of pictures were taken 😉 Thank you for hosting us!

    Tara2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • The view from this home couldn’t be more beautiful. The town area of Mariposa is nearby and made for a fun day of exploring the local shops. Our trip to the park only took about 30 minutes to the entrance. We enjoyed the hot tub and even some yoga on the yoga mats provided in the home! It was a true retreat. Pro tip: if possible, use a car with good tires or 4 wheel drive, as the driveway is at a 45 degree angle, spiraling upward. The view from the top is worth it and it wasn’t a problem in March with our Jeep.

    Hayley2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! There are three things that you will remember - that view, that view and that view! It's not even to say that it's just one view but there are views all around and they are constantly changing over the day. Evenings are magical and the hot tub is a real winner. Close to Yosemite and the amenities of Mariposa. I can't think of a better location for a big family getaway. Be Warned that the driveway is steep but after you've done it once, it's a breeze. Just be careful in icy conditions.

    James2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • From the exact moment we arrived, my group knew we chose the right house. Curving up the windy, gravel path, we smelled lightly burnt cedar and heard the gentle resonance of wind chimes. It was, as we were promised, a zen escape. The insides matched the photos, but the rooms were larger in person; the kitchen was large enough for our whole (8 total) group to cook simultaneously, the deck held feasts for us all, but still could cram in plenty of more bodies, and the pool table was constantly contested over in regards to who would play next. The deal we got for this house was incredible, in terms of how much content you get for this house. Not to mention, we also were 45 minutes away from the park (it usually would take less than 30 minutes, but there is a major roadwork operation as of February 2020 that should be finished on the next few months) All in all, my group and I are already planning our next trip and are hoping we could reserve this house again, as long as it isn’t fully booked out by our next available trip. 10/10

    Rian2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Zen Yosemite was a beautiful weekend getaway! We couldn't get over how stunning the view from the deck was! The place was very clean and had everything we needed. Our only minor issue was not having enough silverware for a large group, but if that's our biggest issue, obviously our stay was great :)

    Lauren2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Zen Yosemite is perfectly named - what a peaceful retreat! The house was absolutely spotless when we arrived, check in was a breeze, and the house had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Our boys loved learning how to play pool, and soaking in the hot tub with gorgeous mountain views and a sky full of stars. Could not have been any better!

    Sarah2020-01-21T00:00:00Z

Truly a great choice.

  • Great location to walk to many spots for breakfast, and dinner. Sleepy town so, some things close early, but really enjoyed the space. Would look to stay again!

  • Located within walking distance of great dining, and the place was very well kept and off the beaten path, so not a lot of outside noise to keep you awake at night. Shannon was very responsive and accommodating when I let her know we would be arriving early. She did her best to ensure we could check in a bit early. This place sits about 40 minutes outside of Yosemite National Park, easy to get in and enjoy an afternoon at the park and be home before dark.

    Michael2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • This was a nice little place to stay between two days at Yosemite! it's about 1 hour 15 min from the park but saves you a bit of money since it's much pricier to stay in the park. The bed was super comfy, nice shower, and good sized kitchen if you want to cook yourself. It's right off the main road so there are a few restaurants and shops very close if you need anything. I love the code entry because I find it annoying to keep track of keys and you're able to park right in front of the building on the street which is also nice. I would definitely stay here again!

Pine View Truly a quiet place to rest, relax, and rejuvenate. Enjoy a beautiful and secluded setting on ten private acres where you can relax after a day in Yosemite. Enjoy the view that overlooks a beautiful meadow that often hosts deer, geese, and wild turkeys. The suite has a queen bed, private bath, refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave and private entrance. Located 35 miles (1 hour drive) from Yosemite National Park (either the 41 Wawona entrance or the 140 El Portal entrance).
Late arrival are always welcome as guests have their own private entry.
  • Jeff and Debbie are a lovely couple - their home is beautiful, well located between Oakhurst, Mariposa and Yosemite Valley. The Pine View Suite exceeded our expectations and really was the perfect place to retire after a long day exploring Yosemite National Park. Thanks again for the advise on Trails and places to eat locally. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Jeff & Debbie’s place!

    Eve2019-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome place. The owner set the light on, air conditioner on, makes it really easy for us to check-in! The room is cozy and super clean and the breakfast is good too! The overall experience really exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended!

    Xiaojie2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Jeff and Debbie’s place and hospitality are absolutely perfect. We would highly recommend it to make your holiday to Yosemite very special. The location is set in beautiful, tranquil countryside. We saw deer twice at their house. The room is really delightful, even better than the pictures. Such comfortable bed, plenty of space, extremely well decorated and clean. There were lots of very thoughtful touches provided - coffee maker, stocked fridge for breakfasts and hiking snacks, cool-boxes and rucksack to take to Yosemite, table and chairs outside for lazy breakfast in the garden..... Jeff and Debbie are wonderful hosts and provided full itineraries for days in Yosemite, which for us made the holiday very special. Communication was immediate and they responded to our special requests with such grace. The location to Yosemite was about 30 minutes to the south entrance and about 1 hour to the El Portal Road Entrance (which we used most). The drive to Yosemite is through beautiful scenery and adds to the days events. The drive back in the dark after a long day in Yosemite is quite tiring, so just leave enough energy to manoeuvre through the winding roads.

    Linda2019-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • A top notch Airbnb! Jeff and Debbie are excellent hosts that made us feel right at home for our 3 night stay to explore Yosemite. The location is out in the countryside with an awesome view of the mountains in their back yard. The bedroom is large as is the bathroom. Very comfortable after a hard day traveling or exploring the park. Highly recommend!

    Leigh Ann2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I stayed at Jeff and Debbie's place for our trip to Yosemite. It's in a wonderful location, about 45 minutes from the park, a drive with spectacular views we enjoyed making each day. Jeff and Debbie's attention to detail is what stood out most during our stay. Everything we needed was provided, right down to the to-go lids for coffee. The fridge was stocked with various breakfast items which helped start our day. Jeff greeted us upon arrival and each day thereafter to provide tips and suggestions. We highly recommend Jeff and Debbie's place!

  • Great stay! The space was quite, comfortable and attractive. They have a backpack and cooler available for use and there were snacks and coffee. We saw two deer right outside our door and a bunny!

    Wynn2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Not only was Jeff and Debbie's a beautiful place to stay when we visited Yosemite, but they were also so quick to respond to messages and offered so much knowledge on visiting and hiking Yosemite before we even got there! It was very helpful and they offered a small cooler and backpack to use while in the park which was much better than what we had brought. All around, I highly recommend!

  • The deer suite was the best stay on our roadtrip trough California (we booked 4 places for our vacation). It’s really spacious, comfortable and clean. You have everything you need in the suite for a longer stay: A nice view into The Valley, a jacuzzi, BBQ grill, fully equipped kitchen, air hockey and billiard tables. It was awesome. It took us just an hour driving to the national park for hiking. At the end we were a bit sad to leave but we didn’t had the time to enlarge our stay. You were great hosts and if I’m coming back near Yosemite (and I will) I’ll book that place again.

  • It was an absolutely amazing space; stylish and attractive in decor, sparse enough as not to feel like we were "invaders in someone's fulltime home", (as we've experienced in other air bnb rentals in the past), yet still furnished enough to maintain a comforting and inviting atmosphere in contrast to the unfamiliar starkness of a traditional hotel room. The extra touches like the folding of the decorative towels in the bathrooms and the robes hanging in the master closet were incredibly thoughtful as well as conveniently utilized the night we braved that freezing air for a relaxing soak in thr hot tub! And speaking of the tub, it was awesome! So relaxing, one of the most luxurious hot tubs I've ever been in actually! I could most certainly go on and on for a few pages about how much we enjoyed our stay at the Hideout!! I honestly cannot think of any complaints other than I regret that my holiday didn't last even longer! I would recommend the Hideout at Tokoton to anyone and if I'm ever traveling in the Mariposa area again definitely book a return stay!!

    Jennifer2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay here. The view from the deck & hot tub is gorgeous. It was nice that the kitchen was really well stocked as well. Everything was comfortable and clean. Would definitely come back here or recommend to others.

  • Awesome house with an even better view! Jonathan is a very responsive host and made they stay an excellent experience for us. Would highly recommend for anyone to stay here. In close proximity to Yosemite but you will be tempted to stay back a day or two to enjoy this great house with great views.

  • Jonathan was an amazing host. He was in constant communication and made everything from our check-in to check-out stress free. His property is beautiful and lives up to the photos. His home is spacious and cozy all at once. We spent two nights here and did a full day of hiking Yosemite in between. Jonathan’s home was about 1 hr and fifteen minutes from Yosemite Valley and it was a beautifully scenic drive. We would stay here again.

This new home sits inside the park gates just a short drive to Yosemite Valley. Completed in January 2020, this elegant home features vaulted ceilings, expansive windows providing lots of natural light and an open floor plan with high-end appliances and finishes. The home is filled with wood custom milled from this site, from the cabinets to the furniture, created specifically for this home. Located in Yosemite west adjacent to miles of forest it is a great complement to your Yosemite visit
Art Haus Yosemite was built by the owner and the attention to detail is evident. The house utilizes energy efficient design and materials to create an open, bright, comfortable space in any season. State of the art soundproofing materials and design were utilized to provide a quiet retreat. All of the woodwork in the house was milled on site from a tree that was killed by pine beetles. The property is located at the end of the Yosemite West development and backs up to miles of undeveloped forest. From the deck you will not be looking at other homes and have a private view of the forest. The finishes in the house include artizan concrete floors, quartz countertops, slate bath area and leather for the furniture. The parking has space for two vehicles and the spaces are generous. There are only 9 stair steps to access the house and no stairs in the house. Satellite television service is supplied by Dish TV with over 100 channels, local and national news, sports, and music. Internet is provided through Hughesnet via satellite. The internet is the fastest available in these mountains but is not capable of streaming video, facetime, or social media that requires lots of data. It is sufficient for email but the data is limited. There is no cell reception at this property, there is a phone in the home that you are welcome to use with limits on long distance. The kitchen is fully equipped with appliances, pots, pans, utensils, glassware and dishware from a local potter. Much of the art work in the house is from local artists. Towels and linens, soaps and cleaners are all provided. Basically the only thing you need to bring is food. There is no additional cleaning fee for this property. A cleaning fee may be assessed in cases of smoking, abuse of the property or unusual neglect. The price you see is what you pay plus required taxes. The maximum number of occupants is 2 and there are no exceptions. This is a no pets no smoking property. The owner lives in the separate lower unit and the two units do not share space. The owner is available if needed but interaction is not required. Check in only requires a key code provided on booking and is at 4pm or later. Booking requires a signed rental agreement
Yosemite West is unique in that it is located inside the park gates and 10 miles from Yosemite Valley. This unusual opportunity allows guest to avoid the gate traffic each day but also enjoy the peacefulness of a private home. This home sits in the mountains at an elevation os 5500 feet. The weather can be different than the central valley of California. In the winter the roads can be icy and chains can be required. It is adjacent to large areas of wilderness that is home to many mountain species including coyotes, bears, mountain lions, bobcats just to name a few. These animals pose no risk to you and you would be fortunate to see one as they typically give humans a wide berth. But it is not the same for pets. The coyote is simply trying to survive and your pet is a meal, easily lured into the woods by the wile coyote. The birding is great in the area and binoculars could give you a great view of many species including the pileated woodpecker.
  • Lovely modern home that makes you feel cozy and close to nature in the woods. Location is in the forest and close enough of a drive to any sight that you would want to see and far enough that you can enjoy the woods. Art, the host, is a very considerate and helpful man. We Would definitely book again in the future

    Durrell2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Art's place is a new and comfortable accommodation. It basically has everything one needs for a trip to Yosemite. It served as a great place to hike in Yosemite national Park during the day and spend evenings relaxing at this beautiful home! Great touches around the furniture as well as the views!!

  • Nickey and Steve were so hospitable. The house is very homely, cosy and clean. The bedroom space is exactly what you need and you really feel at home with them. The breakfast in the morning was outstanding and the location was just great. Wild deer at garden at night and an amazing starry view was just the cherry ontop of a already well dressed cake. I will be going back!

    James2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • Steve and Nickey were very good hosts. They are very welcoming and kind. My daughter and I really enjoyed our stay and we will be going back again soon. I recommend this B&B to anyone. Thank you Steve and Nickey. By the way, they have awesome breakfast.

    Anthony2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Nickey and Steve were very welcoming and very knowledgeable about the Yosemite NP and also cities we were planning to go to. They gave us some very good recommendation about the road we could take and also about the many other places such as Casa de Fruta. And the breakfast was super delicious. Very great hosts, it was a pleasure to stay there.

    Jure2019-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful hospitality. Super clean. Delicious breakfasts. Perfect nature setting with deer, chickens, and hummingbirds!!! Wonderful star lit skies at night. Nickey and Steve are both hikers and very knowledgeable about the Yosemite NP. They made us feel totally at home. Just lovely hosts!!

    Pamela2019-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • Nickey and Steve have created a wonderful welcoming space, tucked away in the woods outside Mariposa, on the road to Yosemite Park. It is a few miles out of town, but definitely worth the effort. They are charming hosts who made us feel at home the moment we arrived, and we feel we've made new friends. Really comfortable bed, great cooked breakfast, and excellent hints and tips for sightseeing. Outside they have their own chickens and wild turkeys roaming around, a deer who visits, a friendly cat (outdoor only) and hummingbirds visiting the bird feeders. There is no street lighting, which means it is very dark at night (which is great for star-gazing). Don't hesitate - book now.

  • Truly a 5-star experience. The rental was immersed in the woods which is not a view you get out of any hotel window! The RV has all the necessary amenities plus some. The hospitality was next to none. Diane and Rob were always available and took great care of my dog while I visited Yosemite. Even gave us fresh coffee and breakfast snacks in the morning. Will definitely be back and have already told all my friends. Highly recommended experience! On a side note, try 9 Diamonds BBQ at the end of the driveway. Best I’ve ever had, and I used to live off of Texas BBQ!

  • This is one of the areas within the park but outside the Yosemite Valley, so you can expect to spend about half an hour driving into the valley or to other locations nearby. The place is beautiful and has a nice balcony if you're in the right season to appreciate it. Definitely recommend for comfort while you enjoy activities in the park!

  • Vonnies place was perfect for our stay! It’s only about 20-30 minutes from the valley floor so super easy to spend the day hiking and then head home for a cold beer. Super comfy bed and a big enough space for a few nights. Really easy to check in and super clean and accomodating. Only thing I would say is bring your own breakfast because the brekky included is only sweet breakfast buns in plastic. We loved our stay here, such a cozy mountainside retreat!

Affordable peace and quiet in this newly refurbished cottage in Mariposa hills outside Yosemite. Plenty of room to roam outside. Breakfast coffee and dining on deck is a favorite. Top quality beds. Shower is over bathtub. Fireplace with free wood in winter only. Small BBQ with free briquettes and starter log all year. Wildlife deer, turkeys, etc often visit. Owner on site nearby to answer all your questions. NOTE: Price does not include 13% County Tourist Tax (TOT). Max 4 guests + infant.
Isolate yourself here away from everyone. Cuteness reigns in this little cottage but outside it is an amazing large hillside location that is like a nature visit in itself. Expect to see birds and deer and turkeys. Maybe even a bobcat or fox or coyote or raccoon. And of course, squirrels and gophers and frogs in season.
Very quiet and peaceful rural area. Very safe. Many neighbors work in Yosemite. Even horses from the park are housed in same street in off season. Most properties are 5 acres or more. We are 17+ acres.
  • Lovely little cottage. Beautiful location. Patio area is just perfect. When having a breakfast we could watch group of little deers :) kitchen is well equipped, plenty of space to chill out in living room. Martin is a lovely host. Very helpful. Views from cottage just outstanding.

  • Ideal place to stay for a trip to Yosemite. Very peaceful and quiet.

    Barnaby2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • In Martin's house you will find a warm and endearing atmosphere, just like him. A little house decorated with grace, with rustic mobile. There were three of us and we didn't use the sofa bed in the dining room, I can't tell if it's comfortable or not. But if I can say about the double bed, a mattress change is convenient, it sinks and is too soft. In the kitchen you have everything you need. The environment of the house is calm and at night the sky is impressive. The location of Google is accurate, the site is easy to find and easily accessible, yes, there is so little light in general, it is better to arrive during the day.

  • Awesome little spot, perfect for a few nights while you explore the surrounding area. It is a great distance from Yosemite and we were able to drive into the park each day no problem.

    Joseph2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Martin's place was very cozy. Close to Yosemite and Mariposa. The heater works really well and everything you need is stocked inside the cottage. Like a home away from home. Everything was clean and we would love to come back to stay again.

  • We really enjoyed Martin's place and the conversation with him! Martin is a very cool and hospitable person, who has a lot of interesting stories to share. The cottage is very cozy and comfortable with everything, like the kitchen, BBQ, movies and so on. It's also very convenient to reach Yosemite by car. It was a really awesome experience and we are very very thankful for staying there for the Christmas!
