  • Castern Hall is stunning. From the drive up to the front gate everything exceeded our expectations. The interiors are beautiful and full of quirky artifacts. Anyone visiting should note this is obviously a well loved family home, so has lots of personal items. For us this just added to the sense of history. The beds were very comfortable and it was lovely to wake up and be surrounded by amazing countryside. Castern Hall is a fantastic location for any groups looking for an unusual and unforgettable location for a celebration.

Located in a stunning valley in the Derbyshire National park, it sits high up with fantastic views out of every window. Each bedroom has its very own personality. They are full of lovely paintings, antiques and collectables. The perfectly made beds with white ironed linen and cosy throws are seriously comfortable. Charlie & Caroline, the hosts, are SUPER for a reason... friendly, knowledgeable and really passionate about sharing the beauty and magic of their unique home. Highly recommended!

  • A beautiful, spacious and cosy cottage. Perfect for a winter break, with the comfy sofa and wood-burning stove, but I can see it would be amazing in summer with the pool! The big kitchen was perfect for family meals, and the huge living room gave our toddler plenty of play-space. The location is gorgeous, but also just a short drive from Ashbourne shops and cafes. Izzy was so helpful and flexible too. Highly recommended!

Stay in true 'to the manor born' style in this luxurious wing of Mappleton Manor. You have the house and garden to yourselves as well as ample private parking spaces at the end of a long drive. Inside there are spacious, Georgian rooms with shutters and high ceilings but the house still has a cosy, welcoming feel. George Eliot chose this beautiful spot, on the banks of the River Dove, with soaring 360 degree views, to pen Adam Bede! What will its setting inspire in you?
This is a special house in a unique setting. You will fall in love with the 360 degree views and the towering Peaks of Thorpe Cloud and Bunster Hill just a short distance away. This large manor normally sleeps 8 in total in three bedrooms, with the added option of a cot in any of the main bedrooms and a small blow up bed for another child - on request and payment of a small supplement. Two additional people can stay on the sofa bed in the drawing room downstairs, although this will impact on living space ( additional supplements apply for use of the sofa bed and all guests over 8 in total). Discounts may be available for smaller size parties - please ask on booking. All bedding and towels are included as well as essentials such as shower gels, coffee, tea and sugar and a huge basket of logs for the cozy log burning stove. Make your breakfasts even more special with our free-range eggs from Chatsworth Estate-reared hens. Depending on availability and time of arrival we will meet you with a delicious home-made cream tea or a glass of wine. We also offer a full range of luxurious spa treatments including facials, manicures and masssages as well as pamper parties for any number of guests from only £15 each.
The local pub serves guest ales, superb food and is just a short stroll along the banks of the River Dove - possibly one of the best reasons to come. We are also so close to Alton Towers and just a hop away in the car from Chatsworth. Bakewell, Buxton, Leek and all the attractions of the Peak District are literally on the doorstep. Walkers will love its location.
  • A wonderful house, with dramatic and equally wonderful views. The accommodation was spacious, with thoughtful touches throughout to welcome you and make you feel at home. Everything was clean, great amenities and a super host who communicated back to us quickly at all times. I would certainly recommend this as a fantastic house to spend time to explore the peak district or to just visit family in Ashbourne as we did.

  • Absolutely stunning .. a privilege to stay. Loved snuggling up on the sofa reading. Loved the amazing views. Loved feeding Red and Rocco, the stunning horses. Loved watching the sheep feed their lambs on “our front lawn”. Even the miserable rain and weather could not spoil our time in this beautiful house.

    Kathleen2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful house, in a beautiful setting. Felt very cosy and at home. Loved the little touches - fresh flowers, teapot and cups set out with tea on our arrival. Very special place.

  • What a gem. A gorgeous house set in beautiful countryside. Kim was so helpful in working out which bedroom set up would work for us and all the little Christmassy touches were so lovely. Even down to the Christmas loo paper! You must definitely take your walking boots as there's so many lovely walks nearby.

    Kerra-May2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic stay at Kim's. She was very welcoming and gave so much information about how to get there and what to do around the area. The additional touch of a beautician coming to the house to do treatments was amazing. The house was clean and in an idyllic setting. I would highly recommend staying at Kim's and would definitely go back.

  • The manor is an absolutely stunning place, it offers fantastic views and is only a stone’s throw away from the peak district. Kim was an excellent host, it was a pleasure to meet someone so friendly and she made sure that our group had everything we needed for our stay. The manor has great amenities, I recommend getting the fireplace going as it is very cosy and great for an evening indoors!

Our cottage is self contained and attached to our house. There is a sunken hot tub in the garden. Set in a tranquil, traditional Peak District village with local pub, there's a small shop in the pub that's open during pub opening hours. Perfect location for keen walkers, climbers or cyclists and there are several lovely National Trust houses, including Chatsworth, within easy driving distance. Ashbourne is 15 mins away with good quality independent shops, pubs and restaurants.
The cottage is for your sole use and is very cosy with a wood burning stove, generous wood supply and well equipped kitchen. There is TV, DVD, radio and wifi and there is off street parking for one vehicle. There is a kitchen/sitting room, with a separate double bedroom. There are quite steep stairs down to the beautiful modern bathroom. The bathroom has underfloor heating, a hot towel rail and a shower with a lovely bath for a good soak after an active day. Soap, plenty of towels and a hairdryer is provided. The bed linen is pure white cotton. The bed linen and towels are dried outside in the sun, so they are not 'drier soft and fluffy' but they smell wonderfully fresh! The king size double bed can be separated into two singles. If that is your preference, please let me know when you book.
The Peak District is a hidden gem for walking, rock climbing, cycling and enjoying historic houses. Parwich is a quiet and very pretty village that has featured in the Sunday Times top 50 rural communities for the last two years. It is a village with little traffic as it is not on the way to anywhere and therefore does not have a busy road going though it. There are traditional amenities such as a beautiful church, a very old Robinson's pub: The Sycamore, (under new management) and a lovely, well run British Legion bar that welcomes outsiders. There is also a tennis court for public use and a monthly film showing in the very fine, modern village Memorial Hall. There is a shop in the pub for basic needs. There is an excellent blog that features the activities in the village: Parwich . org where you can find out what's on during your stay.
  • Such a cosy, comfy cottage with great little fire, bath, and a nice hot tub outside to really relax in. Everything was there that we needed and everything was very well kept and clean. Thanks Caroline!

  • The cottage is a cosy cottage nestled in the village of Parwich with great walks right on your doorstep. I come with my boyfriend for a quiet weekend to walk, relax and explore the Peak District. The cottage has everything you could need for a lovely break. With the village pub around the corner and Ashbourne a short drive away you have everything need within easy enough distance for it to still be a peaceful getaway. There was always plenty of hot water after a days walking and the hot tub was very lovely to relax in. The log burner was great feature too. I'd definitely recommend staying at the cottage.

  • Would absolutely recommend this beautiful cottage. Audrey and her husband were fantastic hosts, very quick responses and really went the extra mile. The views from the cottage were stunning and there were lots of little homely touches in the cottage. The fire place was cozy, the board games were fun, and the cakes and scones were a real treat!

  • The cottage is great, it’s very clean and has everything you could possibly need. It was really homely, and you can tell Audrey has put a lot of thought into ensuring guests feel at home, she also provided a fantastic welcome basket which sorted out our breakfasts for the entire visit. I thought from the pictures the cottage was attached to the main house, but it is completely detached and we had complete privacy, it was very quiet and easy to relax. Audrey provides a folder detailing some great local walks and places to eat, it’s all brilliant and we look forward to returning.

  • We have had such incredible luck this trip. Our AirBnB’s have been wonderful! And this particular one shares the win for the most thoughtful in decor, ease of entry, comfort inside, as well as lovely, welcoming homemade goodies!:-) The location was perfect for us. And The George (pub/restaurant within walking distance) gave us one of the very best meals we have ever had in England! The views were to die for, and it was so quiet and peaceful. The cottage is behind the Hosts’ house, and the area is mostly open in front and back, although there are homes on either side, which one really doesn’t notice while staying there. It is on the outskirts of the village, and beautifully rural.:-) Our Hosts could not have been more lovely and welcoming! And every single detail was perfection, in our opinion. (Be sure to see their unbelievably beautiful information book!) They have outdoor lighting that was on a motion sensor to help light your way to and from the car, and off road parking is included. The bed is more comfy than most, and the TV room is incredibly cozy, with the little log burner that warms the home to perfection. One word of caution - for those who are larger, the very “slim” shower could potentially be a problem. The bathroom is small, but done perfectly for its size. They even have a tall, wall shelf that I would like in our home. It’s the perfect place to put all of your toiletries! This truly was a special place, with every detail thoughtfully cared for. We can not recommend it, or it’s Hosts, highly enough!

  • Literally the best place we've ever stayed on Air BnB. Audrey was an impeccable host and the cottage is picture perfect. So many lovely thoughtful touches and a footpath into the countryside right outside the door. Would recommend to anyone.

Wayward Cottage is a self contained holiday cottage on our small holding, overlooking the Manifold Valley in the southern tip of the of the Peak District National Park. In a tranquil, rural setting, this is a great place to recharge your batteries. Relax watching our miniature sheep, chickens and horses, visit Dovedale or explore the many walks in the area. Take a drive into Leek, Ashbourne, Bakewell or Buxton. Slip over to Chatsworth House or Alton Towers...something for everyone!
The cottage at Lowes Farm is in peaceful, rural surroundings with great views in all directions. It's the perfect place for relaxing and a great base for exploring the Peak District and all its attractions. There's something for everyone here from the splendours of Chatsworth House to the thrills of Alton Towers.
Grindon is a small, quiet, picturesque hamlet, surrounded by beautiful countryside. There are some lovely pubs within a 10 minute drive and Leek (20 minutes away) has a great selection of pubs, cafes and restaurants, many of which are dog friendly.
  • A lovely rural location, very quiet! Plenty of beautiful places to visit within a 15-30 minute drive. Bern was a very friendly and helpful host. Perfect place for a countryside getaway.

  • A lovely cottage in peaceful surroundings.

    Justin2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This was an absolute gem. A perfectly quaint little bungalow with a modern but cosy interior. Not only did Nic and Bern provide all the information we needed to get the most out of the surrounding area, but they thoughtfully left instructions on how to get the most out of the house (specifically regarding the log fire which was a god send in February!). As hosts, they were friendly and helpful without being at all invasive. The house itself was perfectly furnished with everything you could possibly need, including things we didn’t expect like the hot water bottle and the flask. Thank you so much for hosting us, we hope to come back soon.

  • A cosy and well equipped little cottage in beautiful surroundings with friendly hosts. The cottage is a perfect base for exploring the Peak District. We stayed in February and made good use of the log burner in the evenings. We will definitely book again.

    Jennie2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • If you want somewhere to rest and recharge this is the place. Perfectly situated so it was easy to travel throughout the Peak District. Bakewell and Leek both within easy and quick drives. The cottage is perfectly set out with the living room comfy and cozy, especially with the fire going. We took some DVDs and it was the perfect hide away. The cottage was super clean and comfortable, highly recommended and we will definitely be back. Maybe in the summer so we can sit out on the little patio and admire the gorgeous view.

    Grace2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • We spent 5 nights at the Wayward cottage over the Christmas period, the cottage is beautiful - bedroom, lounge and kitchen are cosy yet spacious, there's a wood burner and central heating so keeping warm was really simple. The cottage is situated right next to the farm where the hosts live, so even though it's remote we didn't feel isolated. We did a 7 mile walk on Christmas eve, taking in Wetton Mill and Butterton where we ate at the Black Lion. Fab place, will definitely return as the Shepherd's huts are intriguing us.

    Desmond2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • We have just returned from a lovely mini break at Nic and Berns cottage! The cottage itself made a lovely base, the log fire being a particular highlight on chilly November nights! The eggs were also delicious!! Nic and Bern were very hospitable, providing lots of useful information on walks in the local area. We visited Leek one day too, nice little shops to shelter from the rain in on a wet afternoon! Would recommend !

    Sarah2019-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • A sweet little cottage in a spectacular location. Bern and Nic were welcoming and tended to every need we had- they even left us eggs from the chickens on the farm! Going down to Leek is a must, the coffee at Cafe No5 is wonderful and the homemade chocolates from Misco’s are unbelievable- we went on the Friday and then had to go back on the Saturday to get more! We had the best time in this cottage and are even planning a return trip already. 😍

Charming and comfortable cottage for two located in the guest wing of our long traditional farmhouse. We have a Swedish hot-tub and barrel sauna in the farmhouse gardens which can be booked and hired by guests for a unique elemental experience. *IF YOU INTEND TO HIRE THE HOT TUB OR SAUNA, PLEASE MAKE SURE IT IS AVAILABLE WHEN YOU BOOK* (extra cost - for price see 'other things to note' section) Through its own front door you have a small entrance hall with hanging space for coats, a cosy sitting room with log stove, books and a big flat telly if you need it. This leads to a light and comfortable kitchen dining room. This room, with its glass roof, used to be the old barrel ceilinged wash house with an old copper for heating the water. Now it has a small, simple but well equipped kitchen and a big table where you can relax and watch the cows or sheep wander past. The back door, leads up old stone steps to a tiny patio area with garden furniture, but, of course you can also enjoy the big country garden at the front of the house too. Up the main stairs there is a little landing which leads to a spacious bedroom with the best of the beautiful views across the Peak District and beyond. There is a canopied king size bed with beautifully laundered Egyptian cotton sheets in which you can oversleep and the room's en-suite bathroom has a rainfall shower. We have a large biomass boiler which provides plenty of hot-water and keeps the central heating going whenever you need it so you will be cosy and warm all year round. Walk straight from the door over beautiful Bunster hill to Dovedale and its famous stepping stones, or along the ridge of the Manifold Valley, or beyond, there are so many walks to choose from.
Swallows skimming about, the scent of homemade organic bread and a selection of local and homemade goodies are the things that may greet you when you arrive at our organic dairy farm in the Peak District National Park. Our home is a farmhouse on an organic dairy farm in the beautiful Peak District National Park. Built from local limestone the farmhouse has been added to over the centuries since the 1500's. We run our business in the most environmentally friendly way we can without compromising on comfort for our guests. In 2018 we won gold for Sustainability in the Enjoy Staffs Tourism Awards! We have a Swedish hot-tub and barrel sauna in the farmhouse gardens which can be booked and hired by guests for a unique elemental experience (make sure you reserve this when you book your accommodation as it is very popular - and does cost extra).
The farm is set in the most stunning scenery and looks over the valleys of the Peak District. There are three self catering cottages on the farm, but none are overlooked. The village of Ilam is picturesque with beautiful chocolate box Swiss style houses and past the Anglo Saxon church there is Ilam Park, a National Trust property with a lovely tearoom. Our nearest towns are Ashbourne and Leek, both market towns with quirky shops and boutiques alongside the usual shops and supermarkets. There is a host of interesting villages such as Tissington with the best traditional sweet shop ever or Hartington with a delicious farm shop cafe and legendary cheese shop. Further afield there is Bakewell, Buxton, Tideswell and Eyam. We are spoiled for choice with interesting places to visit: Chatsworth; Haddon Hall; Sudbury Hall; Go Ape; Alton Towers; Peak Wildlife Park; Coombs Valley Nature Reserve; Crich Tramway Museum or The Heights of Abraham are just a few. We are really lucky that we have some brilliant pubs and restaurants in the area for a great selection of real ale or really delicious food.
  • Lovely quiet break away just what the doctor ordered, loved the fire and cake was a lovely touch

    Lisa2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • This is a brilliant place to come and relax. A cosy property, great views, lovely hosts. And for us, having access to an electric car charge point was a real plus. Highly recommended.

  • We booked The old wash tub for a final break before back to work after Christmas. The cottage is lovely, welcoming and clean, in a beautiful location. It’s very quiet which is just what we wanted. Alex and rob even had cake waiting for us on arrival which was a really lovely touch! We also loved that the fire was lit and they even had a little Christmas tree in the cottage. We booked the hot tub experience which was amazing. We used it from 6pm and it was lovely and warm all evening, we enjoyed Cava and chocolates with the luxury package and candles and the fire had been lit in the cave, it was amazing! On booking I did think the extras like the hot tub prices are a little expensive, but I’m still really glad we did it, it was a lovely way to spend the evening (and of course it was our decision to book the extras, we where in no way obliged to, we just couldn’t resist!) All in all we have had a lovely weekend and have already told our friends about your lovely place. Thanks Alex and rob!

  • Great cottage and lovely people

    Jayson2019-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • Having stayed in a number of rental cottages over the years, the Wash house, by far, comes at the top of the list in terms of quality of accommodation. Alex & Rob have created a home from home with this place, we would change nothing, top rate.

  • Beechenhill Farm and the Old Wash House is an idyllic location from which to explore the upper reaches of the River Dove. Superb views across the dales and hills from the bedroom the Old Wash House is tastefully decorated, warm and cosy the Log Burner provides additional heat and enhances the relaxing atmosphere. You are guaranteed a comfortable nights sleep in the feature bedroom and the en-suite shower WC and washroom are clean and inviting with plenty of towels. High Recommended

    Andrew2019-11-09T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at Alex & Rob's place. The communication was super easy and quick and the place looks exactly like it does on the pictures. The local villages are conveniently located and the apartment is very quiet! Would absolutely recommend to stay there! Will certainly revisit in the summer months!

    Cam2019-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place to stay, spacious, all the amenities and more, lovely hosts, we couldn’t have asked for a better trip! We were very well looked after, the hosts went above and beyond. The location is stunning and there is so much to do nearby - with personal favourites given from the hosts - and their recommendations should definitely be followed! Thoroughly enjoyed our weekend away and we will definitely be coming back.

Charming, cosy stone cottage on the outskirts of Wetton, adjacent to a pre 1700 farmhouse. Lovely views of surrounding countryside. Great base for exploring this beautiful part of the White Peak, very popular with walkers and cyclists. Ideal for couples or single guests. Has a galleried double bedroom with shower and toilet. Downstairs there is an open plan sitting/diner with kitchen area. Featuring beamed ceilings. Small south facing sitting out area and off road parking.
Well behaved pets are welcome but please bear in mind that Wetton is a working farming village and livestock will be around various fields throughout the year. Pam and Joh your hosts have lived here for 33 years and are keen to share the information they have gathered over time with you/
Wetton is so well centred at the heart of the White Peak and is surrounded by stunning hills and dales, which just have to be seen. The village also benefits from a great pub serving guest ales and an award winning village hall tea rooms.
  • We had a lovely weekend at Fred’s shed. The accommodation is great value for money. There are so many thoughtful touches that add to the experience. The communication from John was first class. We had arranged to arrive fairly late but John still made himself available to tell us everything we needed to know about the cottage, the village and the local area. His knowledge and enthusiasm was marvellous! We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend The gate house to anyone planning a couple of nights in the wonderful Peak district.

  • John is an exceptional host, we had very warm welcome and John gave us great local tips which we used. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed including nice electric stove that kept us warm and cosy. The nature and all walks were on our door step - the beautiful Dove Valley and caves . We used the car only once to go to a near village pub, the Black Lion in Butterton , that had amazing food and has very friendly local atmosphere. The Royal Oak in Wetton was lovely and very friendly. Had breakfast in the Tea Room in the village - excellent! In all it was great stay!

  • Had the most relaxing stay beautiful place in a tiny village if you value peace and quiet this is the place ideal base for walking or cycling . Lovely touches when you arrive fresh bread, milk, butter and small bottle of fizz. The village has a pub which is ideal, no shops which for me I loved. Would highly recommend as a single traveller very safe and the local people are so friendly, a place to turn your mobile off get back to the great outdoors and take in all the countryside has to offer

    Robert2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Johns place “Fred’s Shed” was a beautiful, peaceful place to stay for a thoroughly relaxing time . John is the most friendliest host and the welcome he gave us was lovely. We highly recommend the local pub for friendliness and definitely for the food as the old school tea rooms for breakfast. The views are totally gorgeous around Wetton. Thankyou for a lovely weekend.

  • We had an absolutely wonderful stay at John and Pam's Airbnb. We were blown away by the many thoughtful touches on arrival and they gave us all the local tips we needed to make the most of the area. The place itself is lovely - clean, cosy, had everything we needed and was in an ideal location for enjoying the Peaks. We loved everything about our stay.

  • John and Pam's cottage is an absolute gem, the welcome we received as we entered the cottage on the evening of Valentine's day was so incredibly thoughtful with 2 roses and a platter of valentine's nibbles, candles (though bring your own matches!), heart fairy lights and a well stocked fridge of butter, bread, eggs and milk was so much more than we could have expected. The cottage was plenty warm enough in the middle of storm Dennis, and has a wonderfully cosy feel to it in general. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

    Jessica2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • John’s place is a wonderful cottage in a wonderful setting. Extremely peaceful but full of so much adventure. John is a great host and has lots of tips on where to go. The Royal Oak pub is a must and so is the town halls cafe. The personal touches in the cottage made it feel ‘just like home’. This was my first air B&B and I would definitely love to return.

  • Me and my friends had the most wonderful time at the Beechenhill Farm! The cottage is really beautiful and cosy, beds are incredible comfortable, great water pressure and all cleaning products are environmentally friendly, we really appreciated all the attention given towards sustainability and felt the connection with nature here. We had a night we will never forget in the hot tub and sauna and can’t thank Alex, Rob, Terry and Sue Prince (your paintings are beautiful!) for the amazing hospitality - they took really really good care of us and we felt incredibly welcomed. We got to see a calf that was born on the night we arrived which was magical. The area is of outstanding beauty and we will cherish our memories from our weekend there forever. Can’t thank you enough for everything!

I have two good sized bed-sits with a shared bathroom and shared kitchen, or optionally small kitchenette. Redecorated with new carpet, with a view over a private garden with trees. We are a five minute walk from the bus station. Ideally I would like someone who is working and looking for a medium or long stay, or maybe weekly commute. I am happy to consider any one who applies, and do not always require references. The rooms are upstairs, so sadly not for anyone who cannot manage the stairs.
This is in a Georgian townhouse, and downstairs is the local history museum, The Ashbourne Heritage Centre. There are many places to eat and drink within a few minutes of the door.
Ashbourne is one of the most visited towns in the area, being about 4 miles from both Dove Dale for walking and Carsington Water for activites and water sports. Cycle hire is nearby, with good traffic free cycle routes.

Located centrally in Ashbourne close to all the amenities of the lovely market town. Market Place still has the Saturday market with the Thursday market held nearer to the library. Artisan markets held during summer which are great. The building is one of the oldest in town allegedly. Grade 2 listed and part of the conservation area. The character of the accommodation apparent with uneven floors and windows at strange angles having moved with the building since 1700’s.
The flat has been fully re-carpeted in January 2019. Large living room with folding dining table and 4 chairs. Corner bed settee in front of wall mounted tv and Sky Freeview if looking out of the windows people watching!! WiFi router located next tv. Electric stove in fireplace with additional thermostatic wall heater near dining table Bedroom with double bed, chest of drawers, hair drier and thermostatic wall heater Kitchen with fridge, oven, hob top, microwave, toaster, Dolce Gusto coffee machine, kettle and iron. Bathroom with over bath shower, toilet basin and sink. Entrance vestibule with room for bag storage, or room for bike(s) with wall mounted thermostatic heater The cubby hole with room to hang clothes and storage of luggage
Close to all the town amenities. Gateway to the Peak District, Alton Towers, Bakewell, Buxton, Matlock all a lovely drive away. Being in the centre of a bustling market town means it can be a little noisy at times. A great town to explore and find those gems about town which makes it so well liked and visited time and again. Most people have their own favourites, which is testament to the efforts of the wealth of independent business which thrive in the town. Forget Costa and Subway etc, and find your own favourites.
  • Well positioned and well equipped flat. Ideal for a couple or small family group

  • • Great location • Stylish, clean and homely- the living room/dining area is particularly nice. • Perfect base for a short stay

    Emma2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Ashbourne is a lovely place to visit, there are loads of cafes, shops and restaurants all close by. The George and dragon is lovely. The flat is in an ideal central position overlooking the market place, however the stairs may be a struggle for anyone of a certain age as they're steep and narrow. With it being an old building the sash windows are old and so it can be cold, draughty and noisy, but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

    Adam2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Really lovely cosy flat in the centre of Ashbourne, really enjoyed our stay and lots of lovely bars and restaurants to choose from!

    Amanda2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • The location of this lovely little apartment could not be beaten. Right on the town square, very easy to find, surrounded by (and even on top of) loads of cafes/restaurants. All amenities were in excellent condition and the towels were lovely and soft. I would suggest that if you are a light sleeper you might hear the noise from the street below, but it wasnt a problem for us, we slept really well in the very comfortable bed! Thank you so much for a great stay, we will definitely be back!

    Sally2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Mark was always quick to respond to queries. The accommodation is located in the centre of Ashbourne and is very comfortable for one or two people. The kitchen has an oven and 3 burner hob, plus basic pots and pans. Heating is by wall mounted panel heaters and there is plenty of hot water. The Co-op supermarket is just minutes away. Parking in the market square is pay and display. Long-term parking is available free at the recreation ground car park (around 7 min walk). As I live in a rural spot I wasn't well prepared for the traffic noise associated with the main road that runs through the market place. A trip to the local branch of Boots provided silicon ear plugs and they did the trick for me.

  • Good value for money, perfect location and lovely, cosy interior. Is on the smaller side with slightly low ceilings but the space has been used well to making it seem more spacious.

Swallow Barn is a cosy secluded stone barn conversion in the heart of stunning Peak District walking and cycling countryside. We provide secure undercover bike store. Dogs are welcome on request with a small fee and have four acres to play in. A cot is available for one infant.
Swallow Barn is situated in our yard set well back from the road, with plenty of off road parking, it is very tranquil with lots of bird life and you can hear owls most nights. You will be welcomed to Swallow Barn with a homemade bread, cookies and local free range eggs. Luxury Faith in Nature toiletries which are kind to the planet are also supplied.

  • Absolutely beautiful little cottage, perfect little break away from city life with my dogs! Pru and Chris were so welcoming and helpful! Lots of nice touches (such as the toiletries and doggy treats). I really wish we could have stayed longer. Location was amazing, we had a beautiful walk, even though the weather was wet and windy! Would definitely recommend!

  • The perfect place to sit back and relax, disconnect from the hectic world and unwind in nature :)

    Mauro2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • We had a really lovely stay with Emily. The site has amazing views of the surrounding countryside and really friendly animals. Emily was super easy to communicate with and left some really thoughtful touches in the cabin. Thank you for a great stay and we look forward to returning in Summer!

  • Mount pleasant farm is a truly unique and special place! Emily is super kind and helpful and we had a lovely stay -so cosy and we slept soooo well!

    Olivia2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful shepherd's huts at the edge of the peak district. Kitchen and bathroom facilities exceptional for a shared campsite block. From the placement of the huts, down to the lovely sinks in the toilet block, everything is thoughtfully designed, beautifully rustic. Emily and the others (and also the resident pigs, sheep, horse, donkey and chickens) were beyond welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. Really well located, we were able to travel there on a public minibus from Ashbourne. We also took day hike to the village of Ilam and the Dovedale stepping stones (a moderately gentle hike along public footpaths - absolutely stunning views and passing through a lovely national trust park) and were back in time for tea! Couldn't recommend this place more!

    Maddie2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Emily was a brilliant host - so friendly and thoughtful. The accommodation is really comfortable with lots of sweet touches. We had a great New Year here - enjoying the brilliant pub nearby, followed by a cosy fire back at the hut. We couldn't recommend more highly to anyone looking for a remote escape! Thank you! :)

Mrs Scragg's Cottage, cosily situated in the pretty village of Thorpe, in a beautiful and peaceful part of the Peak District. A walker’s paradise; Dovedale and the Stepping Stones are a 20 mins stroll away; Thorpe Cloud just 10 mins. The Tissington Trail, a converted footpath/cycle way, is a 10 mins walk away. It has a good sized enclosed, private garden with outdoor seating for sunny days. There is spacious off road parking for 2 cars. You may even have some cows in the field next door!
This is a no pet cottage. This is a strict policy I have to adhere to as my insurance is for a pet free property. Please do not request to bring a dog as I cannot accept these bookings. This is a no smoking property. If you want to store bikes undercover then I can provide a clean, dry and lockable shed for you. Follow on Instagram: mrs_scraggs_cottage
Ashbourne, an old market town, is 2.5 miles away and there are many picturesque villages a short walk/drive away to explore. There are lots of places to visit and activities to try with Mrs Scragg's Cottage as your base. The Old Dog pub is at the top of the hill, a great place to sit by their fire, unwind and enjoy one of their fabulous burgers in a friendly village pub. You can purchase fuel at Dovedale Garage, also at the top of the hill, but other than that Ashbourne will be your closest stop to pick up anything that you need.
  • What a lovely place! Sally was quick to communicate and gave us excellent directions on how to find the place and local walks, pubs and places to visit. On arrival the cottage was immaculately clean and Sally had left such lovely touches, some welcome sweets, tea and coffee, sausages eggs and bacon for breakfast which were all delicious! She even checked if we were vegetarian prior as well. The cottage is cosy and cute and the heating worked beautifully. The kitchen had everything you needed. The beds were very comfortable we slept like a dream! The shower was lovely and hot. Sally recommended the old dog and lamplight for food and both were great and worth visiting! We did a walk up to Thorpe cloud and dovedale from the cottage which was wonderful and easy from the doorstep! Absolutely loved this cottage and Sally was an outstanding host. We will definitely look to stay here again in the future!

    Lucie2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Sally’s cottage as part of a long weekend and were impressed with what it had to offer. Firstly, the location is brilliant, a stone’s throw away from Dovedale, Thorpe Cloud and the Stepping stones. The cottage had good facilities which include a lovely kitchen which has just enough space to cook a full meal if you didn’t want to eat out. Breakfast was lovely, we were provided with eggs, milk, sausages, bacon, bread and a selection of cereals and jams. The bed is very comfortable and there are some lovely personal touches across the whole cottage. There is off-road parking as well which is an added bonus. We were really impressed and would look to stay here again if we were to visit Thorpe as we believe it is good value for money and offers a comfortable and cosy stay while exploring what the Peak District has to offer.

    Sean2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Sally's Cottage is so beautiful, full of character and very very clean. Everything was very functional and Sally added lots of personal touches which we loved. It's a very quiet and relaxing place to stay.

  • Great place to holiday and we’d happily stay again.

    Paul2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Sally's Cottage. The weather wasn't great so it was lovely to be able to light a fire. The kitchen had everything we'd need and the breakfast food was a real treat. The beds were really comfortable and the view from the bath was amazing! Sally responded quickly to emails and made sure we were all sorted for check-in. Would love to visit again.

    Áine2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely cottage in a beautiful area. Sally had set up everything for our daughter which made it very easy for us. The breakfast things provided were delicious and very helpful as we were only staying for a night.

    Jake2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Sally couldn’t have been more accommodating given that we were travelling in the aftermath of storm Ciara. It was a shame we didn’t get to meet (though did meet her dad briefly, again very helpful with suggestions for our walks!) - however all our messages were returned promptly so communication is a huge positive. The cottage was spotless, everything gleaming clean. A beautiful property and a thoroughly enjoyable stay! Thanks again.

What you see is what you get: cosy room with beds, seating and kitchenette. The weather was awful when I was there and still very warm and cosy inside. Toilets/ showers/ washing up all so clean. Will definitely be back!

  • Friendly and easy to contact host. Lovely area with great access to Alton Towers Very comfy beds (more so than expected from a bunk bed) Enough of a kitchen to cook some food, microwave, electric hob, kettle and toaster. The heater is more than enough for the space and there is a radio supplied Lovely quiet area and surrounds - expect a great nights sleep Little bit hard to find in the dark, so plan ahead and scout the road it is on with google maps and it is easy. • What a spectacular location! We used this as a base for a few days in Alton Towers but the surrounding area is perfect for walkers etc. The accommodation was well equipped, with the toilet and washing up facilities (which were sparkling clean) only 15 seconds walk. A secure site with parking right outside the building. Lovely and warm. The host Craig was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

    Carly2019-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • The accommodation is very well located to know the Peak District. The place is very cozy and equipped with everything you need to spend a few days in the tranquility of the countryside. Very safe and clean. It has heating and very nice view. The owners very friendly and attentive. Easy to reach and accommodation with a very special charm. We recommend it 100%. And above all do not stop buying the eggs they sell from their own farm.

Winnow Nook is nestled in a small hamlet that lies within the Peak District National Park. It's set in the most stunning scenery overlooking the surrounding countryside. Two cheeky goats live in the farmyard and the chickens, donkeys, sheep and occasional pigs can all be found around the farm. Outside the window to the west you'll often find the local cows, sheep and most amazing sunsets. It's incredibly quiet on the farm now apart from the occasional 'Baa', 'Oink', 'meeoooow' or 'Eyore from our pets.
Most of our guests are amazed by the spectacular scenery, quietness and the darkness showing off the stars at night! The scenery is breathtaking and with footpaths crossing the farm it's possible to walk for miles without taking the car. For those who prefer to cycle there are three cycle paths close by where you can hire bikes too if you wish. Horse trekking, golf, fishing, rock climbing and shooting can also be arranged. .

Host Robert and Jo were very helpful. They left a useful guide book for local walks. On arrival, they had left a jug of milk in the fridge and fruit cake- a particularly nice touch. I would certainly come back again to Robert’s place if I return to the Peak District Biju

  • Lois' place is a really beautiful with stunning views. The cabin is perfect for two. Saying the cabin is in a campsite does it a disservice. The campsite is adults only, spacious and has very impressive and clean facilities. There's even automatic gates. Lois was a superb host

  • We expected good things but boy, our expectations were surpassed! We had an excellent stay and would definitely recommend to our family and friends. The hut was sparkling clean, had lovely little touches to it, felt homely and catered for all our needs. Perfect for our little weekend away. Thank you!

    Kat2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This was a wonderful little haven during a rainy weekend in the Peaks — so cosy and very clean. The breakfast basket was a lovely extra touch.

    Nellie2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Lois’ place is perfect. The hut has everything you need, although you have to go outside to get to the toilets/shower there’s are literally a stones throw away and are furnished beautifully! Ideal place for some long walks, or just to cosy up if you’re staying in. We ate in The George pub in the village and the food was a little pricey but we didn’t mind as it INCREDIBLE. Definitely recommend.

    Alice2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely beautiful stay at Lois shepherds hut. The most thoughtful finishing touches, it was just perfect! Great pub across the road and fab location for exploring dove dale etc. Would come back in a heartbeat!

    Amy2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Spent 2 nights in the hut and it far exceeded our expectations! Very well situated to go on lots of walks, and it was absolutely lovely to come back to after being out all day. The hut was really cozy with the fireplace, and being able to relax in the bed and watch Netflix etc. Didn't book dinner at The George (we cooked in the hut!) However, we went to go for a drink there on Saturday night. It was completely booked in the main area, but the staff were super friendly and let us go to the Coach House bar with our drinks. We had it all to ourselves, and played Jenga and cards! Would 100% book the hut again and recommend. Thanks Lois!

    Ben2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • We decided to take a last minute trip to the Peak District and are so glad we chose Lois's hut - it's perfect for a little getaway! There's everything you could need and the hut is so well thought out - there was much more room than we had imagined. The amenities are really nice and warm (even in January!), so it wasn't a problem at all that they are not attached to the hut. We definitely recommend booking this cute space!

This delightful cottage is perfect for a couple/individual who wants to get away from it all but not be entirely cut off from civilisation. The Coach House is off the ‘main road’ to Ashbourne, but sits on an extremely quiet road, from which you can walk to a pub, a corner shop or straight into Derbyshire countryside. Although 3 centuries old, recently restored, it has new central heating, new kitchen and luxury bathroom so the history is all there without compromising a comfortable stay.
The Coach House has an entrance hall (where you can sit and kick off any muddy boots from walking), a kitchen/diner, a cosy sitting room, with gas fire. Upstairs there is a small landing that opens onto the bathroom, the bedroom and a storage room. The Victorian style bathroom is complete with claw-foot bath and shower and heritage heated towel rail. The bedroom has a lovely view over fields, clothes rail, chest of drawers as well as a comfy Warren Evans bed. (Please be aware, the stairs are narrower than conventional stairs, and wouldn't be suitable for my 95 year old Great Aunt).
  • Gareth's place is a wonderful retreat if you want to explore Derbyshire. Located just outside Ashbourne, it is a comfortable, stylish place. Would highly recommend.

  • We absolutely loved this place, exactly as advertised, only much bigger than the pictures make out. The hosts were brilliant at contact and giving us information, also totally respecting that we - as a pair of hard working introverts - wanted to have a holiday in total isolation :) The house itself was beautiful, the area was beautiful and quiet. I grew up in Ashbourne so already knew all the incredible places to visit. I would highly recommended this cottage; great value for money and a really relaxing place to stay. Thank you so much 😊

  • Lovely quiet location, very nice Pub/Restaurant (good food) within a couple of minutes walk. Hope to visit again in the future.

    Mark2019-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is really lovely, it is sparkling clean and has everything you need. We found it very quiet and relaxing. Yet so convenient for everywhere. There is a pub/restaurant just a 5min walk away and the food is very good. Certainly would recommend it to anyone.

Stone Cottage is a well equipped stone-built cottage situated near the centre of the delightful quiet village of Wetton. A spacious 3 bedroom cottage, full of character and recently refurbished. In addition to the 3 bedrooms, the cottage boasts a spacious sitting room with log burning stove, a conservatory dining area, a separate reading room with a second log burning stove and outside a good sized enclosed garden.
The garden at the rear is fully enclosed. Parking is on the road outside the cottage, which is not usually a problem ( no restrictions & ample space)
Of all the beauty spots in the Peak District, this western corner where it merges with the Staffordshire Moorlands is one of its hidden gems. The pretty village of Wetton is little changed from a time when most of its cottages were the homes of agricultural labourers, when farming was more labour intensive. The jumble of lush interlocking hills that tumble over one other to form the Manifold valley is one of the natural world’s great wonders, and from nearby Thor’s Cave you’ll get a magnificent bird’s-eye view of the scene that will have you gasping with pleasure (and possibly pain too – it’s a steep-ish climb up). It’s very easy to just explore: all the footpaths, bridleways, and lanes are clearly marked. The area is perfect for exploring
  • Lovely place.

  • Lovely little cottage in a small village. Need to travel to destinations but all within easy distance. Beautiful area. We would certainly return, but with our dog next time! Mike was a very good host and met us at the property so check in was easy.

  • Great location in quiet village with pub serving meals. Mike met us and showed us round. It was a perfect cottage for a family weekend cycling and walking. Happily the sun shone so we were able to have our meals in the garden.

  • Penny and Andrew were great hosts and got us out of a very difficult situation when the cottage we had booked cancelled with no notice on the day we were traveling - I won’t be booking through cottages.com again -always Airbnb from now on! We had a lovely 3 night stay in this cosy barn which had all the amenities you could wish for and all within easy reach of great local town of Ashbourne which is literally a few minutes down the road. Lots of beautiful & interesting places to visit nearby so, all in all, a great place to stay.

    Angela2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was very comfortable, lovely bed linen and furnishings. A lovely welcoming of scones with butter and jam and tea, and fresh eggs added a special touch. I would have no hesitation in recommending the cottage to anyone visiting this beautiful part of the Peak District.

    Bronwyn2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, lovely barn conversion, very peaceful. Loved the scones and milk left out for when we arrived. Beautifully clean and great communication before we arrived. All in all just perfect, thank you

  • Great base for exploring southern Derbyshire. Lovely walks nearby. Barn is well equipped and very warm and cosy for our winter visit. Would be lovely to sit outside in the evening sun when the weather allows.

  • Just got back from our three night stay at Woodcock Barn, everything about the place was perfect. From a great check in/welcome, lovely cosy and warm cottage, everything that you could need for a trip away, comfortable beds and plenty of space, we could not fault the place.

    Steven2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had an excellent stay at the Woodcock barn holiday cottage. Communication with our hosts was excellent and we found it easily with the instructions provided. The welcome tray with homemade cakes and tea and coffee was much appreciated. The cottage is close enough to pop into Ashbourne by car, visit Dovedale and to enjoy walks in the countryside. It’s up a long farm drive giving privacy from the road, and has excellent parking. Inside the cottage is cosy and well set out. The kitchen is well equipped for self catering. Upstairs are two good sized bedrooms and bathrooms. We really chilled out during our stay. We loved staying here and would consider it again and recommend to others.

    Kay2019-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great location for exploring the White Peak area with the convenience of Ashbourne nearby too. Spacious property set way back from the road so peaceful. Car needed. Didn’t find the beds very comfortable but not the end of the world. Helpful communication.

The wood burning fire is a delight! If you are looking for a base in the Peak District where you can explore the local villages and walks then this is a perfect spot. We will definitely be back!

Douglas’s Barn is the weirdest shaped Five Star romantic holiday cottages for two, tucked between Tom’s Barn and Orchard Farm house in Parwich, in the Peak District, Derbyshire You’ll probably love the amusing contrast of the contemporary interior and the top of the range equipment set within these funny shapes. The property is a bit of luxury having been awarded 5 star gold rating by Visit England.
Above all you’ll relish the calm, relaxing atmosphere and soothing ‘Peak District’ colours which seem a charm against the outside world. Many guests have quietly confided that it is the only place in the world where they can truly relax. Douglas's Barn is very close to several footpaths and the Limestone way runs through Parwich. Bikes are available for use and the village is situated very close to the High Peak and Tissington Trails. The barn has a jacuzzi bath in the bathroom but there is no hot tub for use by guests
Parwich was voted as one of the top 50 places to live in England. Douglas's Barn nestles on the outskirts of the village within easy working distance of the local pub and benefits from lovely views across the Peak District.
  • Well thought out place - lots of info plus extra touches such as cake , eggs, milk homemade marmalade and week stocked kitchen . Well placed in lovely village with decent pub - close to tissington trail. Beautifully peaceful and comfortable

  • Perfect size, cozy accommodation in a beautiful village. The barn has everything you need for a comfortable stay and is perfectly situated for exploring the peak district. We had some great walks including Thor's cave and the stepping stones in Dovedale. The local pub serves good food and the locals are very friendly.

    Linda2019-04-10T00:00:00Z
  • It's been the most relaxing weekend and everything was perfect. The property offers 5 star facilities. Everything you would need and more. The homemade cake and homemade produce was a lovely touch. Can't wait to visit again later in the year!

  • Stunning facilities, a beautiful place to go relax and unwind. Really friendly and helpful hosts.

    Chris2019-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • This is a fabulous little cottage in a tiny village. The barn is perfect for 2, with some very special touches including dressing gowns and that jacuzzi bath. Angela warmly welcomed us and gave us lots of useful tips. The kitchen is very well equipped and made staying in a pleasure.

    Chloe2019-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Angela is a wonderful host, very welcoming and has put lots of personal touches into the barns. The lemon drizzle cake on arrival was beautiful! There was also a fabulous bunch of roses and everything you could possibly need in the barn. The place itself was wonderfully clean and had lovely furnishings. It felt very homely during our stay. We went on a wonderful walk from the hosts recommendations in their folder. All in all a lovely break with lots of laughter and memories! Can’t wait to return!

Beautifully restored former Georgian Town Inn, set in the heart of a picturesque market town, in the Derbyshire Dales and Peak District. Country walks, bike rides and water sports are all on the doorstep, as well as tea rooms and deli's a plenty!
  • Comfortable and well located. The house was everything we needed. The stairs in the property are a very common style to the area so I don’t understand some comments by other guests. Everything was great, would book again

  • Great place to crash for a week. Reasonable price and a cosy wee place. 10/10👍🏽

    Brian2019-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • Having read some reviews we were slightly nervous, but really shouldn't have been. The location is fab, right in Ashbourne, which is a lovely town. The cottage is perfect for a family of 4, with comfy beds and living space. 6 people would be a squeeze especially as there is only one toilet. There are signs of damp but only to be expected in a property of this age and doesn't detract from overall cleanliness. Would definitely stay again and great for towers.

    Sophie2019-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed staying at Tiffany's place. It had a lot of character, was comfortable, clean and had all the facilities we needed. The beds were particularly comfortable. It was convenient for the center of the town. We certainly would recommend staying there.

    Pauline2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great space right in the centre of town. Hosted us well for a wedding in the town. Nice little 3 story oldie worldy place. Good value for the two nights stayed. Has everything you need and nice little touch from the owners with a welcome cake in the fridge. The only critique I have is that the road is noisy at the front, but that cant be helped. All in all a lovely stay. Thank you

Miss Honey's Tin Tent oozes vintage charm. She is perfect for those day trips you wish wouldn't end. Book in and continue the fun. Only 10 minutes from Alton Towers and Dovedale.
Situated on our farm campsite overlooking the fields. We're right at the top looking over open fields. We get some amazing sunsets!
  • Lovely and quirky place to stay!

  • Emily went above and beyond to cater for a scheduling issue. We look forward to visiting soon.

    Yuwadee2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Emily was a fantastic host. She met us in the darkness and made sure we were all settled in for the night before leaving us. The beds were very comfortable and our boys enjoyed a real adventure making their bunks into a den and bedding down for a cold winter’s night. In the morning, Emily was brilliant again, taking the boys around all the animals to say hello. The place was really convenient for us after a day’s walking too.

    Emma2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Emily’s place is an amazing and truly unique place to stay. Lots of very interesting things to look at around the campsite and Emily herself couldn’t have been more helpful. The cooking facilities were amazing and I would highly recommend 👍🏻.

  • We stayed for our daughters 9th birthday, we all had such a wonderful time. We will be returning in the summertime. It was so lovely and cosy, even with the storm outside. Cleanliness 10/10. Shower/toilet block facilities excellent. We had a truly magical stay.

    Karley2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Brilliant place! Highly recommended. Kids will love it too ☺️

    Charly2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cosy place to stay. We fit our family of 4 (including baby). It was tight but that just made it cosier. Our 6 year old loved seeing the animals. The communal kitchen on the site was also really well done and very useful as the weather was a bit cold and misty. We did manage to have a fire though and Emily even gave us marshmallows to roast! A great location and I'm sure we'll stay again.

  • The Mews was just what we needed. We only could stay one night unfortunately, so it is now on the list for next time we are up in Derbyshire. The only thing we had trouble with was the directions. The blue house next door doesn't look blue in the dark and in the rain (not Richards fault!!) Remember- the house has3 gables, and a double garage. Also one of it's What3words' location is 'herds.holiday.afterglow' which is perfect, 'herds' of sheep in the field opposite, a 'holiday' cottage, and the 'afterglow' of a lovely weekend away. Enjoy!

    Louise2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • If you want to use fire log make sure you arrange in advance.

    Pintilei2020-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • The Mews is a great find - it's in a gorgeous spot and a very cosy place to stay in the peaks. The shower is particularly amazing! Would very much recommend

They've thought about it all and provide excellent finishing touches, even providing Gluten Free food for us. Sandra and the team have been great at communicating to us throughout the booking process and stay. We would highly recommend this cottage.

  • Lovely cosy cottage - very comfortable for a few days winter break, especially if you want to get away from it all (there is no phone signal or internet coverage in the whole village - which can be a real positive - and there is good wi-fi in the cottage anyway) - nice to have ample cutlery/crockery/utensils etc (it's sad to note how many other places skimp on these things which is a false economy) and two two-seater comfortable sofas to relax in front of the wood burner....

  • What a beautiful location! Serene, quiet and just what we needed for a weekend getaway. The location is excellent with stunning views and sheep grazing around the caravan. The amenities were perfect with everything you need for a short stay. Gavin was very welcoming and made us a great cuppa after a day out serving us a home made cheese scone at the tea room. Highly recommend and would visit again.

  • A really comfortable and cosy place to stay with all the basics and lovely touches like delicious free range eggs, milk and water in the fridge. Very private with beautiful views over the rolling landscape and great walking nearby, Tissington Trail is just up the road or Thorpe Cloud and the hills around is you want more exercise. A great location

  • Lovely caravan in a beautiful quiet location! The hosts had left the caravan spotlessly clean, and Gavin was always on hand should we need anything. Thanks for the perfect mini-break!

  • Great for relaxing after a days walking and when it rained all day too! Note that they do have a great tearoom at the farm too though unfortunately we didn't get the chance to eat there. When we needed help with anything Gavin was very quickly there to help.

  • Cosy and clean accommodation in a lovely quiet location with great views. Ideal base for our short break. Gavin and Lynn are welcoming hosts and do visit their tea room as cream tea was delicious!

  • Nice caravan in a lovely spot in the Tissington Estate.. away from it all yet close enough by car to a local town. The cows were in the field next to us and the hens joined us outside for breakfast. The caravan was nicely equipped and comfortable with a surprisingly good shower with hot water. Our hosts were very responsive when the power was lost to the lights and they kept the water supply topped up for us. We would happily stay again if in the area.

  • We arrived in the dark but woke up surrounded by an astonishing view. The caravan was spotlessly clean and spacious. The water supply was refreshed on a daily basis. Amazing hosts at an amazing and quiet location.
