Come and stay in our stone-built Victorian house, 10 mins walk from the train station, easy walking distance from the city centre with good connections to the Peak District. Pretty garden. Martha the cat likes visitors!
Our home is spacious, light and comfortable. Your bedroom has a double bed, hanging space, a digital radio, and a comfy bed with an electric blanket. There are toiletries for you to use, and information about Sheffield to give you ideas if you're new to the city. We have Wifi throughout the house, and have Netflix connection we can connect you to.
We live just a few doors down from the beautiful Norfolk Park with gorgeous views across the city. You can walk to the city centre at a 15 minute stroll through a park. There's so much to see and do in Sheffield - we'd be happy to give advice about the best places to go. We also have guide books and maps to help you get around the city and surrounding countryside.

Situated in the beautiful Rivelin valley on the edge of Sheffield, a garden flat sleeping 4. More than 2? Only £10 extra pp per night. The rate for the flat is constant - no seasonal, school holiday or weekend increases. Under 3's free. Spacious lounge (double sofa bed ) / dining area, kitchen, shower room, conservatory and twin bedroom. This is a basement annexe to my 1950's house.
Guests have a private flat situated under my house. The access is separate. You will enjoy a beautiful outlook and shared garden. A heated garden room (converted shed!) with sofa overlooks the bottom of the garden. The flat has many features which may help disabled guests. You are asked to make up your own beds with linen provided and strip them at the end of your stay as to keep mine and guest's costs down I or my family do the cleaning. Please bear in mind this is not a modern/perfect building and has a few bumps, bruises and idiosincrasies!
There is a handy cafe and playpark a 10 minute walk along the valley which is open everyday of the year .
  • This apartment far exceeded our expectations. So welcoming and well equipped. it is an ideal base to explore Sheffield and its environs. Thoroughly recommended.

  • Stylish, spotless place in a beautiful location with stunning views over Rivelin valley. Sue is a very thoughtful host and a pleasure to deal with

    David2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • This was the 3rd time we stayed in Sue's apartment and as ever it was great value and a lovely place to stay.

    Ulrike2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful spot! If you want an apartment with easy access to the city by tram, which has beautiful views and feels like it's in the countryside - choose this one. Sparkling clean, lots of lovely personal touches, soft towels and even Yorkshire and herbal tea! We will be regulars. Thanks Sue

    Tracy2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Sue is truly a super host that really goes the extra mile and understands how Airbnb should be. Sue’s place is ideally located for everything in Sheffield and then gives the added bonus of being able to escape in a superb tranquil setting at the end of the day. Suffice to say we keep coming back which is the best review I can give.

    Gary2020-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay. Very cosy and much bigger than I thought! Thanks again.

    Ray2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Sue is a superb host she “knows what a good host is” Sue’s place is everything you need when visiting Sheffield and the surrounding area. The space is ideal and the garden and outdoor space is special which allows you to get away from it all at the end of the day. Airbnb at it’s best and how it should be.

    Gary2019-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • Sue's place has a lovely ethnic vibe, she obviously loves to travel herself and there is a great collection of souvenir tiles; the flat is very spacious and light., enough furniture but not cluttered. The decor is lovely, lots of fairy lights in the lovely seating areas which both have french windows to the enchanting terraced garden above the stream below. The kitchen was very well equipped if you wanted to cook. To welcome us and for breakfast there were beverages and milk, tasty crumpets and butter, porridge and a good jam selection and the local Henderson's relish. The towels were ultra soft and fluffy, seating and beds comfy and the place was incredibly warm on the first heavy frost of the season. Near enough to the city if you want to do in town things but also just a short drive into the Peak District. A very lovely place to stay, ideal on many counts.

Huthwaite Grange was built for the owner of the internationally important Wortley Top Forge which stands opposite. The Grade 1 Listed Top Forge dates back to the seventeenth century and is the world’s oldest surviving water powered iron forge. The house is a great place to get together with friends and family. We can often accomodate early and late checkout so please do ask about that when you make your enquiry.
Huthwaite Grange is a magnificent Georgian house which stands in its beautiful grounds. The house has just completed a painstaking restoration to a standard befitting of such a historically important building. All original feature have been restored using historically accurate techniques and materials while modern services, insulation, solar power and underfloor heating have been added but hidden from view. Our bedrooms all offer a flexible layout so we can accommodate any combination of single people, children or couples.
The closest pub is the Bridge Inn which is around 300 meters away and is a traditional country pub which serves excellent cask ales and good pub grub. The house is set a short distance outside Wortley, a small village providing post office, tea rooms and a pub (The Wortley Arms) which does a roaring trade in really good pub food. Also in the village is Wortley Hall which is well worth a visit and contains the Ruddy Duck restaurant which serves food from the Hall’s own kitchen garden. The house sits on the edge of the peak district; you would struggle to find better walking, cycling and horse riding than in these parts.
  • Had a fabulous stay at this cottage perfect location for our needs celebrating my hubby’s 60th birthday with our 3 daughters partners and grandson. Excellent communication from John at all times would definitely return again.

    Pam2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Such a beautiful and functional place. We came for a walking trip and there was more than enough room and very easy access from the M1. The house is set up so that it’s so easy to accommodate and cook for big groups with loads of space. Really lovely rooms and most importantly great hosts, who were there if necessary but left us to enjoy our weekend. It’s one bigger house that isn’t overpriced and is very reasonable. I would thoroughly recommend this place!

    Elliott2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent host, really helpful and easy to contact. The house is very nice and spacious, even for 9 guests there was plenty of room. And the ping pong table was an added bonus! Highly recommend

    Rob2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks for everything John! Beautiful house and a fab host, we loved our stay.

    Emily2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • John’s house really is a special Air b & b and is perfect for large groups. We stayed at the house with 8 adults and 3 toddlers and all had more than enough space. The bedrooms are all very large doubles so can easily accommodate families. The kids also loved the huge free-standing bath! The surrounding area is also lovely and we took a couple of walks into the countryside and to the local pub. We’ll definitely be back again as we loved it!

Situated just 1km from the Peak District National Park and only a 10 min drive from the centre of Sheffield. There are woodland walks and mountain bike trails right from the door. For those who prefer to stay in the house is warm and cosy.
Large lounge with wood burning stove (wood supplied), large dining room (table seats 8) and country kitchen compliment the country feel of the home and delivers plenty of space to relax. Upstairs there are 3 double bedrooms with a 4th double bedroom downstairs, 3 bathrooms, 2 of which are en suite. We have a policy of a 2 night minimum stay.
The house has excellent access to local walks and mountain bike paths. Situated on the edge of the Peak District National Park, it provides an ideal location for climbers, walkers, cyclists and nature lovers. It is within a 10 minute drive of Sheffield City Centre. Local shops are 1 mile away.

  • Will’s place was just what we were looking for for a getaway with friends and kids. Walks on the doorstep. Huge cosy kitchen and living rooms. Fire which kept the house wonderfully warm and under floor heating which was a treat. Lots of room, nicely furnished, in a great location. Close to shops yet felt in the middle of nowhere. Very quiet. Highly recommended. Thanks for being a great host.

  • Beautiful cottage, warm and cosy with a great fire perfect for cold nights. Great location with amazing surroundings, everything you need for a peaceful getaway.

    Vicki2019-11-23T00:00:00Z
  • William's cottage it beautiful. Lovely location, perfect spot for a weekend catching up with old friends. Plenty of communal space for 4 adults and 2 little ones too (handy, because the weather wasn't in our favour!). William was a helpful, welcoming host and popped by to show us the finer points of heating etc before leaving us to get on with it. I'd highly recommend this cottage for a break in the peaks.

    Nat2019-11-17T00:00:00Z

  • Lovely, thanks!

    Jack2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • The perfect cottage for a cosy weekend away filled with walks on your doorstep and nights by the log fire. William was a great host throughout the process, arranging for the cottage to be available earlier than planned and meeting us to share his expert local tips and answer any questions he had. All four rooms are a good size. House clean and comfortable. Lovely lounge with a log fire. Big and well stocked kitchen, perfect for cooking for 8. Thanks again Willbo!

    Alex2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • I can highly recommend a stay at Will’s cottage! Will was extremely helpful, leaving tips for local walks and even bringing in an online shop that arrived early, plus the fire was lit when we arrived - amazing! We booked for a weekend away in the peaks with friends and it was absolutely perfect. The property is large, comfortable and well equipped with everything you need to host a big group. The 4 double bedrooms comfortably accommodated four couples, we cooked a meal for 8 in the kitchen with no problems and the fire in the front room made the perfect place for a cosy night in. All in all, probably the best experience we’ve had with AirBnB!

I live close to both train and bus stops. The train runs twice an hour and is 6 mins to Meadowhall 12 to Sheffield. The bus runs every 10 mins and takes about 30 mins. I am 10 mins from Motorway. The room is a guestroom. I am retired. Access to my property is down the side of number 4. I am near Asda .There are several places to eat 5 mins walk away. Tankersley Manor Hotel There parking on the street and I have WIFI
My place is a stone cottage slightly hidden. My main entrance is around the back. The cottage is small but comfortable.
The neighbourhood is quiet with lots of places to eat. There is a large Asda for any shopping. Sussex Road is a small Road and is used as a through fare at peak times but there is usually plenty of car parking available.

Sarah has added lots of little touches to make it a home away from home, and the snack selection was incredible (including lots of vegan treats). Communication was incredible, with everything we needed to know delivered to us before arrival. Thank you Sarah x

Our semi-detached townhouse is 5 yrs old and situated on a new estate just off the M1 on the east side of Sheffield near Meadowhall, the English Institute of Sport and the Arena. The room offers a small double bed (6.3”x4”), bedding, towels, newly added 32” tv (Oct’ 19), lamp and coffee machine. Guests have full access to the kitchen, living room and garden. Everything in the house is clean, simple and modern, you'll be guaranteed a good sleep too as it's very safe, private and quiet.
The house is situated at the top of the 'Jenkin Road' hill (famous for being part of the 'Tour de France' route) - 20 min walk or a 5 min bus down the road to the Interchange for trams and buses into the city centre or shopping, food, cinema and bowling at Meadowhall shopping centre. Also within close proximity of the English Institute of Sport, Sheffield Arena, Magna Science Centre, Ponds Forge and Hillsborough Stadium. You have sole use of our guest room and main bathroom, adjacent to the room. As well as shared access to our kitchen, living room and garden. A single air bed is available for a 3rd person (ideally a child) within the guest bedroom. We provide linens and towels for all guests.
Our house is only 5 years old and situated at the rear, more private end of the estate with views over Sheffield and short walks in the woods nearby.

Our beautiful home is situated in a quiet cul de sac in the small heritage village of Elsecar, the bedroom is light and airy and has plenty of hanging and drawer space. We are only 5 minutes from the M1, you can drive to Harrogate, York, Yorkshire Dales or the Peak District in about 1 hour from our home, there are great walks along the Penine way. Come see the beautiful countryside of Yorkshire. Leeds is 40 mins away and Sheffield only 25 mins. We welcome young and old into our home.
We live in a detached bungalow on a quiet cul de sac in the lovely heritage village of Elsecar, our home is south facing so weather permitting we have the sun shine all day, have breakfast or drinks sat out on the patio.
We have a lovely local park a short walk away, with wildlife on the water, it as a small coffee shop, there is also the Heritage Centre, with small quaint shops, a coffee shop, locally brewed micro pub and an antique shop where bargain hunt as been filmed. The village of Wentworth is a 15 minute walk away, here you will find local pubs, coffee shop, garden centre and the old Earl of Fitzwilliams Estate, where you will find the stately home Wentworth Woodhouse , where “Darkest Hour as just been filmed.

  • Janet and her husband make you feel at home and at ease. Share a moment with them. Parking on drive or street. Very peaceful village. The bedroom very beautiful and the shower also very nice though once you go in you may not want to get out! Breakfast is light, though very filling. In the village there are 3 pubs/restaurants, pizza House, Thai The Crown Inn was my favourite, great people, great food and people very welcoming and a pleasure to talk to. There's a lovely Heritage Museum to visit and plenty going on. I stopped at Janet's place in Elsecar, though by my business course was in Rotherham only 20 minutes away by motorway. Five Stars for the wonderful hosts. Highly Recommended. James

Large bright ensuite master bedroom in family home recently fully renovated to a very high standard in a very desirable area of Hillsborough with excellent access to public transport. Guests will shared use of newly modernised large open plan kitchen dining room, comfortable living room and garden.
Large, lovely and bright second floor master bedroom with ensuite shower room. There is a new double bed and mattress, plenty of storage space, bedding and towels supplied and changed regularly. There is also a TV with a DVD player. I aim to make you feel comfortable and at home if you have any special requirements just let me know and I will do my best to a accommodate then.
Hillsborough is a lovely friendly place to live and visit. With a very short walk to the shops and transport links to Meadowhall, city centre with lots of shopping, theatres, restaurants, pubs and the train station. There are lots of really great local pubs most of which serve food. We are close to some pretty spectacular walks locally around Bradford and slightly further afield in the Peak District National Park and into Derbyshire. We are only a few minutes walk to Sheffield Wednesday Football Stadium, Hillsborough Park where the Tramlines Festival is now being held. So all in all a great place to be.

A large private room in our family home. It's only minutes away from tram link and bus stops with direct access (10-15 mins - subject to roadworks) to the City centre for the universities, theatres, shops, bars and train station. The gorgeous countryside of the Rivelin and Loxley valleys are only minutes away for walking, cycling and running. Further afield, the delights of the Peak District are easily accessible by car or by bus/train from the city. It's a well situated lovely relaxing space.
A very nice, good sized room with period features. There is a very comfy double bed, a desk and chair, great Wi-fi, a TV/DVD player (with Netflix), plenty of storage space and a window seat overlooking the garden. There are books/DVD's and lots of information leaflets in the room. There is also an iron, ironing board, hair dryer and fan in the room. The large bathroom is only 2 feet away from the bedroom and is shared with us in addition there is a downstairs toilet. There is a small private kitchenette area next to the bedroom where you can help yourself to tea/coffee/juice and cereals/toast/fruit etc, including a fridge, kettle and toaster. There is space within our garage for storing bikes etc Free offroad parking is also available if required
Malin Bridge is a suburb which lies approx 2.5 miles north west of the City centre, it is a typical area full of narrow Victorian streets but is also on the edge of the gorgeous countryside where the rivers Loxley and Rivelin meet, there are lots of walks and cycle routes straight from the doorstep - in fact part of the famous 2014 Tour de France route is within easy reach. Hillsborough Park is also close by which hosts a weekly Parkrun on Saturday mornings and next to the park is a very good Leisure centre/swimming pool. Hillsborough football stadium is also within easy walking distance. The splendour of the Peak district is easily accessible by car (Stanage edge 20 mins, Castleton/Edale 30 mins) there are also regular trains and buses from the city centre to the hope valley and Chatsworth etc. As the City Centre is approx 2.5 miles away and only takes 10-15 mins, we have the best of both worlds The local area isn't known for having a great cafe culture however there are plenty of reasonable places to eat and drink which we can give guidance on as well as lots of local facilities such as convenience stores, supermarkets, banks, hairdressers, petrol stations etc etc For shop-aholics Meadowhall is only a tram ride away and has over 260 retailers all under one roof.
  • Alan and Melanie's place is very cosy and stylish - exactly as depicted in the advert. I loved the idea of adapting a walk in wardrobe into a mini kitchenette- it made us feel comfortable and more independent . The house is perfectly located, both close to the city and the countryside, with only few minutes walk to Sheffield Rivelin Valley nature trail. Alan and Melanie were very responsive and helpful but at the same time very respectful of our privacy. It was a perfect stay and I would definitely reccomend them to anyone!

    Paulina2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed with Alan & Melanie overnight. First time in shared home. Check in was smooth, constant contact with hosts and warm greeting on arrival. Room was lovely and bed super comfy. It was a shared bathroom but never saw hosts so as if private. There was a cupboard coverted into a small kitchen with fridge, kettle, toaster & basic food stuffs for breakfast; a genius use of space. Great value for money, would stay again if ever in sheffield overnight.

  • Melanie and Alan are wonderful hosts and I can't even find words for this special and nicely decorated house. The room is so cosy, I already miss to sit at the window, watching the sunrise while sipping a coffee. The kitchenette is well equipment, the house very clean and only a three minutes walk away from the tram - perfect!

The Piggy Bank @ The Bank is a ground floor studio apartment in Sheffield's Cathedral Quarter. It's thoughtfully decorated with a cosy interior and situated in The Bank, a stylish 1930s art deco building. The apartment has a double bed, electric cooker and hob, fridge, washing machine, sofa and smart TV. The Piggy Bank sleeps up to 2. It's family friendly, high chairs/cots are supplied. Check in anytime using keycode entry.
*currently only available to key workers and non-UK residents who are unable to travel home* The Piggy Bank is situated on the ground floor at The Bank. The space is bright and airy due to the two electronic skylights on the living room ceiling, which can be opened via remote control. The skylights, not windows, provide the natural light in this apartment. The skylights are fitted with rain sensors, so the skylights will close if rain is detected. This feature, along with the mid-century luxury decor, gives the apartment a unique feel. This apartment is situated in The Bank, a stylish 1930s art deco building. We fell in love with the building for its historical significance and stylish interior. Apartments this good, in the centre of Sheffield, are a rarity. It owes its aesthetically pleasing architecture and art deco style to Sheffield's pre-war industrial prominence. It has been renovated for residential use to a high specification, ensuring you a cozy, enjoyable stay.

Safe, self-service double room with self catering facilities; 4 minutes walk from the hospital. Ideal for those self isolating or needing to access the hospital for work. Full access to private dining areas and to laundry facilities.
Beautiful Victorian attic suite with double bed and a separate single annex.
A very quiet rural space at the edge of Barnsley in Pennine Yorkshire, with the town centre and railway station just 10 minutes walk and the football ground 20 minutes walk. Located within metres of the Trans-Pennine Trail the location offers fabulous opportunities to cycle or walk. For motorists there is free off-road parking and the M1 motorway is 1 mile away, providing an exceptional gateway to Yorkshire; both the rural beauty spots and the urban centres of Leeds, Sheffield, Wakefield and York
  • Great host. Nice stylish and spacious house and room

    Matt2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • I returned here again after a great stay previously. It was the first time I met Phil as they were away previously but their hospitality was as fabulous as cohost Jo. They were flexible with check in to accommodate my needs, super at communication and keeping in touch, even checking i’d managed a meal at meal. The house is large but homely and despite being alone on both stays now I felt safe and secure. Bed comfortable and shower amazing. It’s a perfect stay for anyone working at the hospital. Close enough to not feel you waste time commuting but far enough to feel you left for the night ....

    Katrina2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • It's a huge house. I had the place to myself. Individual rooms have locks to lock yourself in. It's basic, but this has to be reflected in the price and this was very cheap.

    Mark2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Pam and Phil were both so friendly. Phil had really thought of the special touches, having his own made jam and some eggs for me to have on toast. He also had some local tip such as places to eat and the best way to get to my interview. They even put me in a better room as it was available. Would love to stay again.

    Emilie2019-12-10T00:00:00Z
  • Phil and Pam were the perfect hosts, accommodating us and going above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and catered for. The house is spotless, comfortable and the garden and little wood it sits in are just lovely. There are even hedgehogs. Phil’s homemade jam was a particular highlight! Would highly recommend, especially as a stop over en route from London Scotland as we did. Thanks again Phil and Pam for a lovely stay

    Sarah And Joe2018-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • Pam and Phil are lovely hosts. I felt like part of the family rather than a guest. Great location very near to the hospital where I was working and to Town, but surrounded by woodland it feels like the countryside.

  • I have just stayed at Karen and Geoff’s place while I was on my travels with work. A lovely warm welcome awaited me when I arrived and Karen made me feel very welcome straight away, I really enjoyed her friendly laid back and relaxing attitude to having guests in her house, it was wonderful. We had a good old chat over a coffee before I headed out for an evening meal. Karen’s house is lovely, clean and tidy all over and my room had everything you could possibly need for a stopover. I would recommend Karen and Geoff’s place to anyone who is visiting the area or heading further north like me and wants to break up the journey, “It’s 4 yeses from me!!”

Room was sparkling clean, very cosy, with extra touches, such as a small private fridge, smart tv, and kettle with all necessities included (even a hot chocolate! :) ) we really enjoyed our stay and we look forward to visiting Karen and Gareth again on our next road trip.

  • Karen and Gareth were one of the most welcoming and pleasant hosts I had the pleasure to meet! Their house is very clean and tidy and the room itself was equipped with everything you could need. They also treated us with a platw of fruits which was very, very nice. We also received a lot of touristic information which were very valuable and made our trip a success. Thank you for being such a great (super)host! You have my respect!

The room was spacious, warm, and better than I could have expected, also had my own bathroom. The bed too was comfy, did not want to get out. Access to the village was easy, so close to the M1 but very quiet. Easy to find taxis in the area or to get an uber

  • Emma and Stuart's annex is a cozy cottage in their back courtyard. Even though we were in the middle of some proper winter storms the space was cozy and warm, and spending the evening next to the woodburner with a glass of wine in hand was a particular delight. Fully appointed with kitchen and separate bathroom mean a couple of people could easily be at home here for an extended stay. Highly recommended, will definitely use next time I'm in the area. Warm and friendly hosts.
