  • Adorable cabin in the woods, would definitely rebook! We loved it!

  • This is the second time I've stayed here, and it wont be the last. Spotless, stocked, and secluded, exactly what I was looking for.

  • Really cozy place in a great location. Awesome amenities and really exceeded our expectations. Had a great time!!!

  • Tucked away in woods. Nice and private and good place to relax. Close to state park for hiking and also to many cross country skiing trails and snowmobile trails. Pellet stove worked great. Lots of amenities. Bed is a bit soft and caves in middle slightly but good enough for short stay.

  • What an amazing time at the Bonfire Holler!! Loved the space, so great for cooking our own meals. The bed was super comfy! We would love to return soon! Perfect for a northern Michigan getaway 💜

  • 🎵Holler at your bonfire!🎵 My girlfriend and I enjoyed our stay so much we created a jingle for our trip. This cabin is very charming, we stayed for a weekend in the winter for a quick cross country skiing trip. It is only a 7 minute drive to Forbush Corner, which has great skiing and friendly staff. The cabin was just like shown in the photos. Very clean and all the amenities we needed. The cool pellet stove was very rustic and let us warm. We cooked nice dinners while staying and also took advantage of their free waffles which was a great touch. Kyle was even so helpful to plow to make sure I could get out of the snow filled driveway so I could get home ok. Thanks, we hope to visit again in the future. Highly recommended and a great value.

    Jason2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was very cozy and perfect for a weekend away. Kyle was quick to answer messages as well. The table in the main room was perfect for playing big board games!

  • Bonfire Holler was a beautiful stay in the woods, but close to hiking/snowmobiling trails and restaurants. The house has all of the essentials (and then some) and the Kyle and Miranda are extremely responsive to your every need. I would definitely stay again.

  • We were looking for a house in the general location of Higgins Lake / Roscommon for a family event and this was perfect. We were five adults and had ample room. We felt at home right away. The community spaces - sunroom, dining area and dining room are spacious and designed for family gatherings. The kitchen is well equipped with a 5 burner gas stove. There was plenty of comfortable seating. A sofa, loveseat, and two recliners next to the gas fireplace in the family room. Dining table that easily seats 6 people, and a sun room with LOTS of windows. It wasn't quite warm enough to use the deck/patio during our visit, but a large table with umbrella and 6 chairs were available. Everything was clean and comfortable; obvious recent updates; new appliances; peaceful beautiful yard. At the time that I booked the rental, there were no interior pictures but I took a chance because the location was perfect. We were not disappointed. We will be back!

  • This cottage is gorgeous and was everything I could have asked for. The house was so clean and cute that I really didn’t want to leave. The backyard is beautiful & especially peaceful, even in the cold winter. I highly recommend staying in this cottage if you get a chance.

  • I travel for business about six months out of the year. This space was perfect for the hotel snob I have become and didn't want to stay at any of the local hotels. Communication with the host was great and check-in/out was extremely easy. If available, I highly recommend choosing this place when coming anywhere close to Grayling.

    James2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • This home is as pictured and a bit more. It is bigger than we expected and could host a larger group. It is nestled in a beautiful setting in the woods. The two full baths and laundry area are also great for larger groups! It is super close to both xc skiing and a small downhill ski area at Hanson Hills. A great location for outdoor activities! We highly recommend this home for your visit to the Grayling area.

  • Really a great place to stay in Grayling! The house is decorated really cute ( like you would exoect for a northern Michigan cabin. ). We stayed in the winter time but would love to come in the summer since the Au Sable river runs through the back of it.

    Jean2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • A charming place. It would take all weekend to find and appreciate all the details. Only regret was that the third bedroom was pretty small.

Copper Fox Lodge is located just 25 minutes drive east of Grayling on the Au Sable River. In the warmer months common outdoor activities in the region include fishing, hiking, bird watching, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, tubing, golfing, ATV trail riding, and horseback riding. In the winter months things don't slow down as the temperatures, snowfall, and terrain make an ideal winter wonderland for hunting, snowmobiling, tubing, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and even downhill skiing. The area is rich with outfitters supporting your canoe, kayak, tube, ATV, snowmobile, horseback, skiing, and fishing interests.
  • This cabin was the perfect place for a weekend getaway. It was so beautiful and clean. We will definitely be back and would recommend it for everyone!

    Cal2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This is such an amazing place to stay! The cabin is set in the woods right next to the river with no other cabins immediately nearby, so if you are looking for a secluded cabin in a tranquil setting, this is it! There is a gazebo and fire pit just outside the cabin, and if you head down the stairs to the river there is another firepit at the dock. You can easily fish off the dock, so this would make a great spot for fishing! The cabin itself is very cozy and there is a great view of the river through the big glass windows. We brought a number of cooking materials just in case, but we didn't need to as the cabin was well stocked with the items we needed to cook with (pots, pans, etc.) The cabin was immaculate and the lounge chairs, couch, and beds were very comfortable. FYI the lounge chairs by the fireplace recline👍 Jeff and Beth were as prompt, professional, and kind as could be when communicating about our stay at the cabin. They certainly are super hosts! We will definitely be staying here again!

    Anthony2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • To everyone that is thinking about staying at this cabin, expect to have everything you want plus More.... My family and I were in shock to see how we didn’t have to leave the cabin for things we thought we would have to grab, this cabin has it all better then our own homes lol

    Rucci2019-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • My dad, brother, sister and I spent a week at Beth and Jeff’s house. It was absolutely wonderful. Check-in was smooth and easy. The house was VERY clean and ready for our arrival...there was even wine and banana bread - and music playing when we arrived! Exactly as described on AirBnB. Really very cozy house! The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for our evening meals. The location is FANTASTIC. Right on the Au Sable river. The yard is very well maintained...beautiful, quiet, and close to amazing fishing. There is a fire-pit near the house, and a second fire-pit right next to the river. I would HIGHLY recommend this place for anyone planning a gathering with friends, family, a romantic get-away, fly fishing trip or a peaceful escape in to nature.

This is a beautiful, family and pet-friendly vacation rental cottage on wonderfully pristine Cub Lake just east of Kalkaska, Michigan! The cottage has 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, and sleeps 9. (Note that we do limit the rental capacity to 8 adults.) It has a huge deck with a gorgeous view of the lake from the hillside on which it sits. There is also a nice propane grill on the deck that is available for guests to use.
Two of the cottage's bedrooms also open up to a lovely second floor balcony that has a wonderful view of Cub Lake. The vacation rental includes a boat dock, two kayaks, a paddle board, a canoe, and a paddle boat - all on the property's private lakefront! Cub Lake is a "no wake lake". Pontoon boats are allowed, but other motorized boats are not. Guests are very welcome to bring their own pontoon boat and/or non-motorized watercraft and use the property's boat dock for mooring. Cub Lake is great for kayaking and canoeing and both Cub Lake and nearby Bear Lake are excellent for fishing for bass and bluegill. There is also a very nice fire ring with chairs on the private beach for having bonfires and s'mores on the beach. In the winter, Cub Hill is great for sledding with kids and adults being able to sled from the deck down to Cub Lake on the hill. Inside the cottage, the cottage is about 1800 square feet in size and the 3 bedrooms sleep 7 adults very comfortably. Two of the bedrooms have queen-size beds and the largest of the 3 bedrooms is set-up with 3 twin-size beds. The cottage does not have air-conditioning, but all 3 of the bedrooms have ceiling fans and there are other fans available in the house as well. There is also a den / reading room in the cottage that has a futon in it, which can also sleep 2 adults. The cottage has a nice cozy living room with a flat-screen television. Basic cable television is included (network channels only), but the cottage is equipped with high-speed WiFi and live streaming is available via a Roku device. There is a cute kitchen which is fully stocked with a good supply of cooking and dining utensils, which are all available for guests to use. There is a small laundry area with a top load washer and dryer near the kitchen. The cottage also has a cute dining area (next to the kitchen and living room), with a dining table and seating for 6 adults. The vacation home is beautifully designed around Cub Lake, with the living room, dining room, and two of the three bedrooms all having views of the lake.
Outside of the vacation property, the area is famous for snowmobiling, fishing, hiking, and exploring nature. There are excellent snowmobiling trails and hiking trails nearby. This vacation rental home truly provides a wonderful family getaway to the natural beauty of northern Michigan! The cottage is also is very popular with couples and small groups.
  • What a beautiful place to stay! Looking for a cheap vacation, we came during the offseason and the snow was gorgeous. Lots of sledding. The property was clean and the kitchen was stocked with enough utensils, pots and pans for us to cook to our hearts' content.

  • Beautiful cabin! Pictures do not do this cabin justice. The cabin was much more beautiful in person. We did not want to leave! Cabin is a bit of a drive from town but that was mentioned in description and we expected it. Snow tubing at Hansen Hills in Grayling was a blast. Trails behind the cabin were beautiful. Call of the Wild Museum and dinner in an igloo at Alpine Tavern in Gaylord was nice for the kids. Had a great stay! Will definitely come back! Thanks Chris!

Welcome to The Morel Cottage, a perfect couples retreat or small group stay! We purchased this property in the spring of 2019 and renovated it from the ground up. We love the way it turned out and couldn't be more excited to share it with you! The cottage features an open concept with a cozy loft upstairs. There is Knotty pine throughout with an abundance of unique touches that truly give you that "up north" feel. There is a log queen bed upstairs and a futon downstairs that can be converted for additional sleeping. All standard amenities are provided with full laundry on site. The cottage sits on two and half mostly wooded acres about six miles east of town. You will find yourself near the end of a dirt road with deer and turkey making regular appearances :) The property is only a half mile from the "Holy Waters" section of the Au Sable River. This section of the river is renound for its beauty and incredible fly fishing. The river and surrounding lakes are a must see when in the area with several canoe liveries within a ten minute drive. There are also several access points along the river for tubing, kayaking, and canoeing within a short drive. State land is plentiful in the area with miles of regulated ORV trails. There is not direct access from the property but we are happy to point you in the right direction. Hartwick Pines and Wakeley Lake State Parks are perfect for hiking, biking and just being amongst nature. There is a book at the cottage featuring local restaurants, attractions, and emergency contacts. We live locally and are always available to help in any way possible. Thanks for considering The Morel Cottage for your stay! Check out our other listing Big Bear Cabin on Airbnb for larger groups :) Nick and Tanya
  • Very aesthetically pleasing cabin in a private wooded area. Perfect for any time of the year.

    Christopher2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Nick and Tanya have created a wonderful AirBnb experience. The renovations they did were terrific -- excellent quality and the perfect balance between rustic and stylish. Everything was super clean. There were just two of us and it was ideal, although we could have fit our two teenage kiddos as well. Late February skiing conditions were also perfect - spent a lot of time at Hartwick Pines SP. Really enjoyed Rolling Oak Brewery (loved Wipe the Sky and the other porters.) Also hit Northbound Outfitters -- they have some excellent high-end gear and we spent way too much money on end of season clearance items. Everyone we met was super friendly and our hosts were very responsive to any questions we might have had. We hope to be back next winter!

Close to Higgins Lake. A small community beach and playground are a 3 block walk from the home. The Higgins lake State Parks (North& South) are close by. You’ll love the separate entrance and private space and the use of the fire pit and gas grill in the back. It is good for couples, solo adventurers, and families (with kids). We are close to Fred's of Roscommon ( 10 minute drive for pizzeria and bowling), & more! TV (local channels) & DVD are provided. *Note* no cleaning fee added
Higgins Lake has been noted as one of the world's most beautiful lakes. This space is a 3 block walk from the lake.

  • Such a great place and a super good deal! I truly felt like I underpaid staying here. As long as some stairs do not bother you it is a super cozy place in a great location. If you forgot something, chances are they already have it available for you. Will definitely stay here again!

BLACK BEAR LODGE ON THE AU SABLE RIVER SLEEPS: 4 BEDROOMS: 1 (queen in master & bunk bed in hall) BATHROOMS: 1 *RIVERFRONT (Au Sable River is difficult to access) *TV with CABLE ONLY, NO WIFI MARCH 2020-For our guests piece of mind regarding the recent Covid-19 outbreak this property will have a deep cleaning and a 3 day grace period in between stays now through May 1st. in order to insure that the property is virus free. Just 100 feet off County Road 612 in Frederic (Crawford County), you'll find this small, charming, classic cabin alongside a beautiful section of the headwater on Au Sable River. Yes, you can see the cars driving by and they often drive faster than we would like during the summer. There is another home across the street, visible from the cabin. The view of the Au Sable is often wide in the winter and narrow in the summer due to the leaves on the many trees surrounding the cottage. Although the cabin rests alongside the Au Sable River, is not easy to enter the river directly from the yard. The entry is in its natural setting and not maintained as an entry point. With a full kitchen, you can cook a great meal, catch your favorite shows with the cable service on the large flat screen TV. The full bath ensures a hot shower after a day on the river or hiking in the woods. There is a queen bed in the main bedroom, built in bunks in the hall that kids adore (the 2nd sleeping area) and a futon in the living room. Enjoy sitting on the patio with your cup of joe or grilling dinner while you catch glimpses of the river down the hill. At night, gaze upon the stars at the fire pit area. Enjoy the river right outside your door. Walk out to the river to cast your rod or set your canoe or kayak on the Headwaters of the Au Sable– known as the Blue Ribbon trout stream. Be care walking down to the river, the first part is steep. The public access to the river is across the bridge (see map) for easier and safer entry to the river.” Try your luck at the 'Holy Waters' in Grayling or the Manistee River down the road just 4 miles from the cabin. If golf is your activity, the cabin is only minutes from the award winning golf courses in Grayling, Gaylord and Shanty Creek. In the wintertime, snowmobilers will enjoy the miles of state trails nearby. The closest trails are Trail 679 & Trail 7, just 0.5 mile east of the cabin- See map photo. Not only are Snowmobiling/ATV Trails nearby, the legendary “Swamp III & Frederic Inn” located down the road- walking distance. If you enjoy downhill or cross country skiing, we have nearby Hanson Hills (Grayling), Treetops (Gaylord), Shanty Creek and Boyne. If the family wants to go tubing, Hanson Hills offers both day and night service. With “one of the best” state parks only 9 miles away, Hartwick Pines State Park, offers scheduled events and activities year round. Enjoy the museum, gift shop, mountain biking, cross-country skiing, snow shoeing, hiking, picnicking, birding, hunting, and fishing during the day and return to your comfortable cabin in the woods to relax. Fishing: Situated in the Northeastern quadrant of Michigan's Lower Peninsula, the fabled Au Sable River watershed boasts of nearly 180 miles of blue-ribbon trout water, making it the state's and one of the countries most renowned trout fisheries. Winding through a gently contoured wooded landscape from its freestone headwaters north of Fredric to its frequently impounded tail stretch funneling into Lake Huron, the river is large and varies greatly in size and characteristics along its length. On the Au Sable, one can expect a healthy dose of small to medium-sized rainbows, browns, and brookies, with the chance of tying into a football-sized brown -- not to mention the healthy influx from Lake Huron's most important steelhead run. The Black Bear Lodge is at the headwaters of the Au Sable River. (Fredrick to Grayling) The headwaters of the Au Sable, just north of Frederic, mark the beginning of a nearly 80-mile stretch of blue-ribbon trout water. These waters are classic American freestone in nature, clear and gravel-bottomed, dominated by brook trout with the occasional brown trout. Pressure along this 13-mile stretch from Fredrick down to Grayling is minimal thanks to other local freestone attractions and limited access. At Grayling, the river bends eastward towards its Lake Huron descent. Just below, the East Branch injects a welcome shot of cold water. Unfortunately, both sun-wilted humans and trout alike revel in fresh, cold river water making the fabled fishing town of Grayling a haven for canoeists and water fanatics. Luckily, the trout have grown accustomed to the ruckus and success can be easily achieved in this area. The last Saturday in April marks the opening of trout season for this part of the Au Sable. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS A/C: Window unit only. Ceiling fan and box fans help keep it cool. • Freshwater’s place is amazing and cozy. The river in the back yard is perfect for exploring and getting out in the woods for a few hours. You are close to restaurants and state parks but far enough away to not have a lot of neighbors. We would definitely come back and stay here. It was very clean and inviting.

  • Beautiful setting on the river and close to the snowmobiling trails.

    Megan2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • The location is perfect for those looking for a nice fishing trip! Right on a nice stretch of wadable water on the Au Sable. The cabin was clean and warm when we walked in as well. All around great place to stay.

Comfortable 3 bedroom home in a beautiful wooded area with large one way glass viewing area for birds, deer and other wildlife. A short walk down a trail to a picturesque trout stream in the rear of the property (all private land). Enjoy bonfire outdoors or warm up by the gas fireplace inside. Free Wi-fi available throughout the house. Our northern home is a great location for fishing, birding, kayaking, canoeing, hunting, hiking, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, and ATV/ORV riding.
Our northern hideaway home is a spacious area (1,820 sq ft) with three bedrooms and two open sitting areas to spread out. The large great room hosts a vaulted ceiling with a gas fireplace and large one way picture windows for watching birds and other wildlife. A game table provides great space for cards, boardgames or puzzles. Our dining table sits 6+. This home is for our family so there are lots of toys for kids (both indoors and outdoors). Two bedrooms have queen beds and the third kids’ bedroom has a bunk bed with a double on bottom and single on top. Additional air mattresses fit in bedrooms or the common areas. A small picturesque trout stream flows through the back of our property. Snowmobilers have direct access to an extensive network of trails. Great hiking, birding, fishing and hunting all right in our area.
In winter… Our hideaway home provides access to extensive snowmobile trails that reach throughout northern Michigan. Takeoff on your snowmobile right from our driveway and hit the trails. The garage is set up as a drive through for snowmobiles and ATV/ORVs (garage door on both front and back of garage). We love Cross Country/Nordic skiing and snowshoeing. There are many ungroomed trails right in our area or a short drive to Hartwick Pines or Cross Country Ski HQ provides beautiful groomed trails. We’re only 45 minutes to Gaylord’s Tree Tops Resort for downhill skiing. In warmer months… Fish for wild brook trout in our stream right on our property or for Brown, Brook or Rainbow Trout in the famed North Branch Au Sable River only a 3 minute drive up the road (Kellogg’s Bridge or Morley Rd Accesses). Great fly shops in the area can provide guided floats or rent fly rods and waders as well as provide hatch/fly advice. Several lakes in the area provide great fishing for warm species fish as well. The North Branch is a beautiful quiet river for paddling if you have your own kayak/canoe or you can rent from one of the many liveries on the main stream (several right in our area of the river). Birding is a major Grayling pastime. The area is home to the rare Kirkland Warblers and can be seen in many of the Jack Pine stands in the area (public and private birding tours available in the area). Great ATV/ORV trails and state forest roads are minutes away from our home. We love to spend summer days exploring the beautiful wooded areas on our ORV. In summer, access to the Warblers Hideaway Association heated pool is available for a small daily fee payable to the Association. The pool is a short drive to the other side of the stream. A large park/playground with sand volleyball is also available in the pool/clubhouse area. Endless forest hiking/snowmobile trails on state and private land are all around our place. These are great for exploring nature, birding, or spotting wildlife. Although you can swim in our stream, it is a cold spring fed trout stream. Higgins Lake State Park is one of our favorite short outings for a sandy beach with calm warm clear blue water.
  • Dustin's place is a great place to stay for a vacation away from the city. I went with some friends and we had a blast, there was more than enough space for five people, we would definitely stay again; the home was very clean and included lots of great amenities.

    Anya2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Dustin communicated quickly and answered all of my questions. The space is large and clean, accommodating our group of 6 adults and 1 kiddo no problem. Plenty of toys for the kids and nice and comfy furniture and beds for the adults. This space was perfect for us and so affordable! Dustin even checked in on us during our stay which is so thoughtful! We had a great time cross country skiing nearby!

The place is absolutely awesome, not only for the price but just because of how much room there is along with the general comfort of the house. 1/4 mile from a trail that takes you to trail seven. Very convenient for snowmobiling. I highly recommend

  • Stephanie's place was great for our family of 6 (four boys ages 7 months, 4, 6 and 8). We had more than enough space and the basement game room was the perfect spot for family hang out time in the evenings, and to keep our older boys entertained while we unpacked/packed. The house is equipped with anything you would need during your stay, from extra pillows and blankets, to fully stocked kitchen (cooking supplies, seasonings, coffee ect), and little extras in the bathroom (soap, lotion, hairdryer). The laundry room came in handy with my 7 month old's messes. The beds and all the furniture were in good shape and comfortable. This was the best Airbnb experience our family has had so far.

  • Buck Lodge is a cute little cabin and made for a nice stay in the snow. The indoor electric fireplace made it nice and cozy, and it is decorated for a backwoods feel. The staff keep it sparkling clean and the kitchen and bathroom are well-stocked. It is right by a main road, but still felt enjoyably secluded. We didn't meet Paul, but he made check in easy. We would happily stay again!

  • This place is a quiet little gem on the AuSable River. We spent a couple days here fly fishing for my boyfriends birthday. Jeanne and Chad are both great hosts... very accommodating and friendly while giving as much space as you would like. We enjoyed quiet days on the river and loved meeting their dog Sam and the goats and chickens. We hope to come back soon! Thank you for everything!!

  • Christa’s place is in a great location. Google maps isn’t 100 percent accurate but her directions are perfect. During our visit there was a snow storm and she offered to help us get out if we needed. We didn’t need the help but the offer to help is everything. We would stay again.

The kitchen was well equipped to prepare meals and there is a great bar/restaurant within walking distance if you do not want to cook! • Teresa went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable in her cabin. They did a second cleaning to make sure my daughter was safe with her food allergies, they relit the fireplace when we accidentally turned it off and they offered tons of local advice. Beds and pillows are probably the most comfortable out of any Airbnb we’ve stayed at (which has been a lot!). We felt comfortable, welcomed and at home. I’d highly recommend Teresa’s cabin, you’ll be well taken care of!

    Amanda2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was in November so unfortunately, we didn't get to see the beach. Our plans kept us away from the house most of the stay but our family of five was very comfortable here. The fireplace is a nice touch that we enjoyed. Teresa did a fantastic job of communicating with us.

This cozy cabin is located in Crawford County, Michigan, known for its military & State owned land. 60% of the county is available for recreation including ORV and snowmobile trails, XC skiing, kayaking, biking and hiking. The cabin is surrounded by ORV and snowmobile trails. It is centrally located in the northern part of the lower peninsula for easy day trips to areas such as Mackinac Island and Traverse City. Higgins lake, with a small beautiful beach is just a 5 minute drive from the cabin.
Plenty of ORV trails around our cabin. 1000 acres of state land across the road. A neighbor on each side of us, but still feels secluded and quiet.
Very quiet and peaceful area. We so have a neighbor on each side of us but it still feels secluded and quiet
  • This cabin is a great location for trail riding with the sleds, and many of these trails are open for atv/orv. Great sight seeing nearby, and fishing as well! This cabin is deffinately on my list for future stays. And the owner Mark was very quick to respond with any questions we had, thanks again Mark.

  • This place is the perfect quiet, relaxing getaway! We got to enjoy the last bit of snow. The dogs loved it! Craig's property is secluded and beautiful. Perfect for exploring or just being lazy by the fire. We were already talking about going back up in the Fall when the leaves change! Plus, Craig was an amazing host. He answered all our questions and gave great local recommendations. Thanks for everything, Craig!

    Kelly2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Craig was a great host!! We hit a pretty bad snow storm on our way there and he made sure to clear the driveway and the sidewalk for us. The cabin was very spacious and cozy. It had everything we needed and more. It was a beautiful time there and our 2 dogs had plenty of room to go crazy and explore. Would love to go back in the summer time and enjoy even more of the property.

    Kendel2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Had a wonderful quiet getaway in Craig’s cabin. We were able to explore a little around the wooded area and allow the dog to have a blast in the snow.

  • Craig’s cabin is perfect for those looking for a secluded, peaceful stay in a cozy environment surrounded by nature. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and felt the location was perfect. Situated far enough away to feel secluded but still nearby to a few bars and restaurants.

    Amy2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Craig's cabin is cozy, charming and wonderful! Rustic yet clean. He's done much to make your getaway as relaxing and fun as possible: a wealth of dried firewood, snowshoes, two cozy sofas for relaxing, good reading lights, a selection of movies, even an ongoing challenge that is passed from guest to guest. If you don't relax and have fun here, you're doing something wrong. The location is peaceful and beautiful, our bed was comfy, the kitchen well-stocked. We hope to return again and again.

  • Teresa was very prompt with her responses. This was our first experience with Airbnb & definitely would do it again when not tenting. So many amenities & the decor was lovely. The weather was rainy, cold & blustery but was cozy inside - played games, watched movies, read. Great R&R. We brought our own selection of games & movies - though there were some already at the house. Would have liked to have used their firepit & patio - next time. Wanted to use this as a hub to do things in the area but only got to see Hartwick pines for a short time & then got rained out. Would have liked to have hiked some of the trails at nearby state parks - next time

We definitely will come back maybe when it is a little warmer to swim!

  • Words can’t describe how happy we were with our stay at Nick & Tanya’s place! Amazingly beautiful home/cottage. All amenities up to date.. everything you need while away from home. Very clean (Better than hotels).. great attention to detail! Upon arrival it was 20 degrees outside with 8 inches of snow.. pulled into the plowed driveway and shoveled porch.. open the door to a warm beautiful home. Any questions we had were answered immediately! We can’t wait to book another stay in warmer weather with our full family. A+++++ Rating!

  • Big 🐻 Cabin is a must stay! We took a Christmas Adventure this year, I must say opening the door to this little cabin with Christmas tree lit and garland around the fire place was such an amazing site! Our children will remember it for years to come, ( the point of these trips)! We did a little hiking and shopping as well. Small town fun! Great hosts, super cute and clean! We will always remember our Christmas at Big Bear!!

  • OMG! THIS IS A MUST RENT PLACE! I almost don't want to give a review and keep this place a secret for just us! LOL When I enter into the cabin... it was like stepping into a fairy tale! Every deco and touch was so thought out... and made for such a cozy and romantic get-away - very private - after my husband and I have been so incredibly busy and hadn't had any quality time, this place was just the perfect spot!!! They also had ANYTHING you need in the kitchen, fully stocked with kitchen cooking utensils etc... HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!

  • We just got home from an amazing weekend at Andy and Carols place and we are already planning our next trip! It was a super cute house extremely clean and decorated beautifully with comfortable beds and lots of games and extra amenities to make it feel homey. The back yard was perfect and we enjoyed a bonfire on Saturday night after a Canoe trip down the Au sable river and a hike along the trail that is right in the back yard. Andy and Carol were extremely friendly and accommodating and helped me as a first time AirBnb user figure out how to book the place. It was a weekend we will all remember for sure and we can’t recommend this house enough. We will definitely be back. Thank you Andy and Carol! :)

  • What a BEAUTIFUL space! This mid-century modern a-frame is what my cabin dreams are made of. It's in a lovely, wooded area (I was lucky enough to visit during peak fall colors) and near a lake where you can kayak (kayaks provided). The inside was clean, modern, hip - I don't have a single negative thing to say about it. I hope to visit again some day, and I would recommend this to anyone and everyone!

    Gina2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic stay!

    Sophie 2019-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • This is THE place! This secluded whimsical cabin was just what my husband and I needed. We did spend two days in Traverse City, which is 45-50 minutes away, but each time couldn’t wait to return back to the cabin. We stayed in a full day having a bonfire, playing provided board games, reading & walking down to the water. Kayaks are provided, but we opted out due to weather. The bed was comfortable and we had the heat on which worked well. Enough kitchenware was available for us to cook breakfast also. We’d absolutely return here in a heartbeat! For anyone coming be prepared for nature and driving a bit if you want to explore breweries/restaurants. Bring an extra towel if you’re a lady and like one for your hair too. ;) There’s a gas station very close by if you need anything little for example we went for a fire starter. Some bug spray was available too, but I’d bring some anyways to be safe! Staying here is way better than staying in hotels along the coast- I promise!

  • We had a fantastic time staying at the MichiganAFrame cabin. Our son absolutely loved the loft area. The cabin is up to date and quite modern with an outdoorsy feel. Just a quick walk to the waterfront made our kids happy and about an hours drive to Mackinaw City made us parents happy! We will definitely be returning!

    Stacey2019-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean. Loved everything about this place. Awesome location. Beautiful view of nature outside every window.

    Amy2019-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • The MichiganAFrame is one of a kind! They literally thought of every detail you could imagine to provide a welcoming space (large pile of campfire wood, extra keys to the house that are attached to a floatable keychain to take to the water, all the kitchen utensils you could need, etc.). The home smells like a newly built log cabin and is decorated like a mid-century modern home. It’s a very close walk to the waterfront & far enough from the city to feel like an oasis. Will be back again, for sure!

  • A nice quaint and cozy cabin. We were only there for 2 nights and wish it could've been longer. Such a relaxing place to stay!

    Julie2018-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the time that we spent in Caroline’s little cabin. We felt that she went above and beyond in every category. The place was sparkling clean, the amenities were cute and fit the space nicely. Honestly, the cabin was outfitted better than we could have ever asked for, with absolutely everything from dishes and cookware, to extra towels and toilet paper provided. The television and cable was much appreciated on rainy days. The location, literally steps from Lake Margrethe, and about 15 minutes from downtown grayling/Camp Grayling can’t be beat. We would stay again in a heartbeat.
