Jeff and Holly accommodates us very nicely. They stayed up until 10pm when we arrived late due to a family emergency. Very nice people. The apartment is beautifully decorated, super clean, well equipped with anything you can want. Even OJ as a welcome and popcorn! We will be back next year for sure.

Great place, only thing is we couldn't find a corkscrew so we went and got one and left it behind for future travelers. Quiet hosts, great views, and wonderful experience.

Jeff and Holly are excellent hosts! The lake house is beautiful and meticulously clean. Everything you could possibly need is at your disposal, including a wonderful fire pit on the beach. My partner and I had a great time staying on Silver Lake as we made some stops around Traverse City, including Petoskey and the Leelenau Peninsula.

Location is as described 15 mins gets you everywhere you need to be! Check in, despite a small hiccup was easy and Ashley and Kevin were great hosts the whole way through. Mina (the dog) was so cute and loveable. The value is surely unbeatable! The bed was comfortable, the room was quiet and restful, and access was easy! If you have a rainy night or two they certainly give you options if you have internet entertainment accounts (netflix, etc.) Otherwise, no cable. Honestly though, that should be the least of your concerns in such a beautiful place. I would 100% stay with them again if welcome.

I stayed here for two weeks while working at Munson Healthcare for an internship. The drive was not bad at all to downtown TC, around 20 minutes. The bedroom and bathroom were clean and well equipped. Both Ashley and Kevin were great hosts with lots of tips of fun stuff to do in the area.

This is a great place with nice host, cute cats and adorable baby. Very close to traverse city with 20 min drive. The house is very new and nice decorated, feel very comfortable. I have wonderful memory with the little adorable baby that I won't forget. Also we are served with sweet cherries and nice chatting^_^ great memory, hope I could have second chance to be there!

The place is very clean and the bed is so comfortable. Sarah is a wonderful host and kindly allow us to check-in late. The location is perfect if you are going to Traverse City and Sleeping Bear Dunes. We enjoyed our stay a lot and will definitely consider to stay there again if we are going to Sleeping Bear someday in the future.

My husband and I spontaneously wanted to spend a weekend up North. As first time AirBnB users we weren't really sure of what to expect. Sarah and her husband were very hospitable during our stay. They made sure we were well taken care of from check-in to finish. We recommend staying with them if you are looking for a nice clean place to stay near traverse city! Sarah and her husband also offered some cool spots to go to in the area (activities, restaurants, etc). They were nice, friendly, and resourceful!

It is hard to find the right words to describe what a positive experience it was to stay in Sarah and Steve's lovely home. Perfect comes close. My room was lovely as well as the guest bathroom. Everything was so clean and tastefully decorated and I felt right at home the very first night during my extended stay. The bedroom had a window and the view was gorgeous with the changing leaves on the many trees outside. One morning I saw a deer! Sarah provided extra items I could use if I had forgotten anything and there was a sweet welcome tray filled with goodies. The location of this new home was also perfect. I was only ten or 15 minutes away from my internship in the neighboring town. My hosts also gave me the privacy I wanted, yet were so personable if I needed company complete with laughter and two precious cats! Sarah is an amazing cook and was very generous to offer me a chance to indulge in her freshly made and healthy dishes. They were so helpful with answering all my questions about the area and surrounding towns. When the heater in my car died, Sarah graciously recommended her brother to repair it. He fixed it a a fraction of the cost of an earlier estimate. This was amazing!

The cottage is very cozy and clean, it's also very well equipped with all the amenities that you would need while you're there. The pontoon boat is a fantastic addition to have while your visiting. I would highly recommend renting from lauran.

We had a great week at the cottage. The location really exceeded my expectations. It's a great base camp for exploring the Traverse City area, just a few minutes to town and 30 minutes or so to get to the Sleeping Bear Dunes. The lake is quiet and you barely notice the neighboring houses. There's a small sandy beach area that our 2 yr old loved playing in. The water is clear, sandy bottom. Used Lauran's canoe and paddle boat to do some fishing. The cottage is great for a small family, it was just me my wife and 2 yr old son. One downside I could see is if you were there with 6 people you would probably run out of refrigerator space, but honestly that's about it. I found the cottage description to be very accurate, the pictures don't do it justice though, just sitting on the deck looking at the lake is very serene, loved it! Lauran was great to work with, no problems with communication at all, would definitely consider renting this place again.

It's a very nice and cozy house. It's perfect for a small family, it has such an amazing view, it's clean, and it has most of the items you may need.

We had a great week at the cottage. Lauran was very communicative and honestly the cottage was way better than the pictures. I would totally stay here again. If you haven't been up to Traverse City before, its a beautiful area and the location of the cottage to all the areas attractions couldn't be better.

The cottage was a perfect fit for my family. We enjoyed the lake with kayaks that we brought ourselves. There was plenty of water fun to be had with the floats and paddle boat provided. The lake and property are well taken care of. Stargazing around the fire pit and listening to the frogs was so relaxing. When not on the lake we visited Old Mission Lighthouse, Downtown Traverse City and the Sleeping Bear Dunes. Moomer's Ice cream is a must!! So good!! This was our first time but definitely will not be our last.

Pat and Ray were wonderful hosts. As soon as we arrived Pat showed us around their beautiful place. The picture don't do it justice as their place is very big and has a lovely view out of the living room. Pat took great care of us, even served us breakfast. Their house is just 15 min from downtown traverse city, but you can enjoy silver lake from their dock as well. Overall a very good experience with lovely hosts.

Raymond and Patreicia were wonderful hosts! They patiently and promptly answered all of our questions before we booked, this being my first AirBnB experience. The space is exactly as described. There's a lovely secluded patio and also a deck right on pretty Silver Lake. There is a nice garden path leading to the entrance. The location is just far enough to be away from the bustle of Traverse City, but convenient to Leelenau, Traverse City, Interlochen. Old Mission, and the east side of the bay. I highly recommend this place, especially if you don't need to cook at your BnB.

Raymond and Patricia's place is a beautiful basement suite along an inland lake about 15 minutes south of Traverse City. The lake is perfect for swimming. Northern Michigan is a beautiful area, and Raymond & Patricia are wonderful hosts and ambassadors. They made us feel at home. Would definitely recommend staying with them, as I surely will next time I'm in Traverse City.

Our first time using airbnb, I was a bit nervous. But it was a great experience and would definitely stay again. You have whole lower level with private patio overlooking the lake, it was beautiful. Also the host were very accommodating and supplied everything we needed and more! I loved how close we were to everything as well, there is so much to do with a short drive!

This is a darling apartment space in a home near many amenities. You can drive to downtown Traverse City in minutes! The bed is comfortable, the shower is huge, and the kitchen is perfect for eating-in. Lucille is the dearest hostess! She has lots of tips for places to visit, and made sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely stay again!

You will love the Bear's Den! Clean, comfortable and welcoming apartment with private entrance. We brought our boat and Lucille was correct: there was plenty of room to park it. We also stashed our bikes and rack on the patio, and loved the colorful garden. Great wifi and nice tv with cable for when we did not feel like reading. Nearly everything that I would have packed for the kitchen, Lucille had already provided (plus she brought us a cherry pie! And a half watermelon, plus some homemade preserves!) She also gave great advice about restaurants, live music and sites to see. We will definitely be back!

Staying in this apartment was great! Located in a quiet neighborhood, but conveniently located near the main road that went into downtown Traverse City. Apartment was clean and had everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again!

This is a perfect place for a great weekend in Traverse City. The beds are huge and comfortable. There are TVs in every room for entertainment and Lois was nice enough to leave snacks for us. :) Everything you need is included and I couldn't ask for more.

The photos accurately show the large property. It was like a large cabin, clean, basic, well stocked with linens, toiletries, snacks. Ideal for a family with lots of kids. The beds were not great, but we did sleep just fine. Large fenced yard. We heard no highway noise. Great fans above each bed. Also air conditioning. Easy entry with a keypad code provided the morning of the visit. Great internet connection, but don't capitalize the first letter of the password.

This apartment was really spacious and cute. The location was perfect and the neighborhood really nice. I was a little sad that there wasn't a bathtub but that is definitely not a deal breaker. It's a great spot for a family or a large group of people. I was traveling alone for work but would definitely bring my family with me next time I'm in Michigan.

Susan was a very accommodating host (including a ridiculously late arrival), and we had a wonderful time. Great amenities, excellent complimentary cinnamon rolls, and a picturesque location with easy access to downtown Traverse City and Crystal Mountain Ski resort.

We had a great stay at Susan's place - large and very clean apt with beautiful deck. Unfortunately it was cloudy and stormy so we didn't take advantage of the deck as much as we would have liked! Apt is well-stocked and has everything you could need.

I love being close to downtown without being amidst the crowds all day. Jim and Katie are great, they always answered every question on time and were very helpful with our booking. in fact I am still here today because our first night needed to add on to our weekend trip and Jim was very helpful in adding that night!

Would recommend Jim's place to folks coming in to Traverse City. It is quiet and peaceful with a lot of privacy. About 15min driving to get into the heart of the city.

We stayed at Warren & Mary's lake house for a long weekend getaway with multiple families. The location was exactly what we were looking for in that the house is in a secluded area that was on the quiet side but it was also central to everything around Traverse City and Sleeping Bear dunes. Our kids, ranging in age from 7-14, loved playing on Bass Lake and used the paddleboard, kayaks, and canoe every single day. As parents, we loved that the lake was not busy at all and thus very safe for little kids to try out water sports. Most of our time at the house was spent down at the lake, with all of us making full use of the water. We also used the grill for several cookouts and it worked very well. The house itself was very comfortable for our group. The bedrooms are not large but certainly are accommodating to couples. The big sleeping room was perfect for the cousins who all wanted to be together. Having 3 full bathrooms was a huge help for our group and all the towels provided were much appreciated. We did take the time to go into Traverse City for the film festival and some beer tastings, both very enjoyable. We also spent a half day at Sleeping Bear Dunes (we have been multiple times, so half day was fine for this trip) and it was really easy to get to. We also decided to rent a ski boat on Torch Lake for a day and again, very easy to get to from this house. Just a great location!

The most lovely house I have ever stayed. The owner are really warm-hearted. They even restore the breakfast supply for us. So sweet.

Warren and Mary made my guests and me feel very welcome. They were unable to give us a tour of the home and be there when we first arrived, but they made sure to have someone there to greet us and assist if needed. They offered directions and were great with communication.

Warren and Mary were gracious hosts that provide all the trappings a family would need for a fun filled trip with kids of all ages. They provide all the gear and then some to make it entertaining and relaxing to enjoy all that Traverse City and the surrounding area has to offer. The house is well appointed to meet the needs of a larger group and it well located to have some privacy on a nice sized beautiful lake but have you near downtown Traverse City within 15-20 minutes and to Sleeping Bear Dunes inside 35 minutes. Warren & Mary were excellent hosts! They were available immediately if we needed anything. The house is beautiful, roomy and right on a pretty lake with its own private beach. It is tucked away in the woods where we saw deer and wild turkeys. Traverse City is only 10 minutes away with restaurants, shops and the Bay. Highly recommend!!

We loved the coziness and spaciousness of the house. The hostsmake sure you'll have everything you need to enjoy the house, from mosquito sprays to beach towels, table tennis and toys for kids. We felt comfortable since the first moment we stepped into the house. We found home made ice cream and candies on the counter along with a nice welcome note. Definitely a good experience.

This being my first Airbnb stay, I didn't quite know what to expect. Joni was more than helpful. Her home was full of everything we could have possibly needed, very close to Traverse City but quiet and secluded also very clean. Would recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in TC area

We want to start by thanking Joni for being such a great host and for taking the time to answer all our questions about the area and for providing great suggestions. For this stay it was just my wife and I and we found the cottage to have everything we needed for our four day stay. The house was as described but the description falls short of just how wonderful the view is from inside and outside of the house. Within minutes of walking in we were totally relaxed by the great lake view. The cottages location was close to everything. Traverse City was minutes away and and the dunes and Lake Michigan were also a short ride away. We enjoyed the use of the in-house washer and dryer and we also took advantage of the provided kayaks. We were very pleased with our stay and would do it again. We think this great choice for couples getting away and for people with pets. The host made everything easy and was always a text away for any questions or needs.

Joni's cottage is an adorable place on a small lake, perfect for a weekend getaway. It had everything we needed, was clean, and felt like home. If you want to be close to Traverse City and it's attractions, make sure you map it because you do need a car to get there. We had a great time, thank you Joni!

Our family enjoyed our stay in Joni's Lake Cottage very much! Joni was extremely responsive prior to our trip, promptly answering all my questions. She was at the cottage when we checked in, and gave us helpful suggestions on different places to visit in the area that were a bit off the beaten path. The cottage was very well stocked with maps, brochures and all the necessities. The cottage was nicely decorated with many small touches. We enjoyed the use of Joni's kayaks and her fishing pole - even if we didn't catch any fish! The cottage was plenty big enough for the five of us for us to relax and feel at home. We were just minutes from downtown TC, but far enough away from the bustle as well, and had easy access to Lake Michigan and the dunes. Thank you!

My husband and I stayed here for three nights and had a wonderful experience. We were celebrating my husbands 30th birthday and were excited to be spending it near Traverse City. We love to relax and unwind on our weekend getaways...and this cottage did just that!! Joni was so sweet and made sure that we had everything that we needed. (We forgot our dogs leash at home, so Joni walked to her neighbors house to borrow one from them just so we could use it to walk our dog! ) We also loved how close this cottage was to everything, just a short drive. The cottage was cosy and perfect, to us. She does a great job of keeping everything clean and inviting. This place is A-mazing. The area is very quite, ideal for relaxation, and within a very short drive to Traverse City. The view from the living room is breath-taking.The cottage is very clean, tasteful and has everything you can possibly need. This is your place if you are looking for quietness and relaxation, with a wonderful view. Kayaking at sunset on the lake is one of my favorite activities. Joni is such a great host: so considerate and accommodating. My mom and I literally did not want to leave: it was much better than anything I had expected.

Wonderful place! The location is perfect when visiting Interlochen Arts Academy! Lots of space in their large acreage for my dog to run and nice trails nearby. There are two rooms and a bathroom - basically the whole upstairs was ours, and use of the kitchen and living spaces downstairs in the main part of the house. Plenty of space. Our own mini fridge in the room was a nice extra. Arnie was a perfect host (did not get to meet Dzidra) - very generous and friendly. Offered great dog walking and dining advice and had some great stories to share! We had a great visit! Thank you!
