Staying with Alex is great! he is everything you look for in a host: quiet, friendly, lets you have the run of the apartment, and is an informative host about the local area. The view from the main room of the downtown area is simply breath taking and the pictures do not do it justice! I especially appreciated being close to a 24 hr convience store. Since I'm a bit of an insomniac it really came in handy. would rate more stars if I could! if you're coming to Fremont you should stay with Alex!

The cabin was exactly as advertised, clean and spacious with a wonderful view. It is in a quiet, out of the way area and was very nice for our Valentine's Day getaway. Linda was very friendly and professional, she made us feel right at home. No complaints whatsoever, overall great experience.

Our host was amazing! I had some specific questions well before our arrival date. She responded quickly to my inquiries and answered my questions completely. As promised we talked on the phone a couple days before our arrival. She was so enthusiastic and offered lots of information about the house and the area. She knew this was a surprise party for our daughter and she made great suggestions for how to use amenities in the house to improve the surprise! The house was everything the listing described, as was the surrounding area. She encouraged our use of the kayaks, indoor and outdoor game supplies, and DVDs.

this house is fantastic,It is modern ,clean and have every thing you need to enjoy your stay . The host is very helpful and kind . We stayed 3 nieghts . Th first two nigts were wonderful , but in the last nieght hundreds of mosquitoes attacked the house that we couldn't sleep well .

Wow, what a wonderful experience this was! Linda called me ahead of time to give me some heads up on what to expect and how things work, and stayed in touch with me during the weekend when a storm came through. The place was spotless when we arrived (SPOTLESS, I kid you not!), and had everything we needed outside of clothes and food. This was fantastic for me, because we stayed at other cabins before where we would rewash the dishes and counters upon arrival, or rinse out the tub, find better smelling blankets, etc. It was nice to actually go to a CLEAN vacation rental!! Also, there was plenty of room for our combined six kids to move around and play, with extra activities available (a big bag of outdoor toys, board games, coloring activities, etc), as well as plenty of sleeping options that the kids enjoyed (um, a nook for a kid and another for an adult?! Added to my future dream home specifications!). This cabin is 100% worth going to, we would definitely go again, except longer!! So comfortable, very professional, great quality!

Gorgeous cabin!! Stayed here for a girl's weekend and it was amazing. The pictures don't do it justice. The little touches made it great. A sound system for the entire house, movies, shampoo and conditioner under the sink, etc. The weather was perfect for us so we spent time outside. Would totally recommend to a group or family who needs to get away. It is obvious that they have put a lot of time and effort to making sure the cabin has everything you need.

Fran was an amazing hostess with an absolutely BEAUTIFUL home! Rooms are clean and inviting, Fran offers a delicious breakfast each morning, and the lake-front views are spectacular! We enjoyed the lake trails each day for running and leisure walks! Just 25 minutes from downtown Omaha, this is an outstanding place to stay with wonderful people serving as hosts!

My parents, sister's family and my husband and I all stayed at Fran and Barney's beautiful lake front home (6 adults, 2 kids and a baby). All enjoyed sleeping in beds! The pictures are very accurate as this stunning home is very clean and cozy with plenty of amenities (large variety of coffee, popcorn, waters, breakfast food, clean extra towels, dishes etc.). Fran has grandchildren of her own, so it was extra convenient to have toys and books on hand for the baby. This newer home was perfect distance to the Fremont, Springfield and Omaha areas which were our destinations for the weekend. Fran was very easy to communicate with throughout the entire booking and stay. Along with her husband, they were a joy to visit with and even cooked us a tasty breakfast prior to our departure! You won't be disappointed staying in this lovely home with these lovely people at such a lovely rate!

First let me start by saying that I’m not one who writes reviews on places I’ve stayed or places I’ve had a meal at. Actually, this is my first ever written review. I will usually just personally say thank you for great service or a nice stay. This is different, we were so impressed that I felt I needed to let more people know in writing about Fran and Barney’s B&B. We had one of our best visits ever to the Omaha area as a result of staying at Fran and Barney’s beautiful home in Bennington. We were in town to attend our daughter’s graduation from UNMC College of Pharmacy. In the past while in town to visit we would stay at a Hotel in the Omaha area. The stay at Fran and Barney’s was much more relaxing and enjoyable than any hotel stay. Fran went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed during our stay. She was even planning on making us an egg casserole for breakfast for our last morning in town but we had already made other plans. Their home is absolutely beautiful. The accommodations for us were perfect! Having a bedroom on the main level with attached bathroom was just what we needed for my dad. The accommodations on the lower level were also perfect for my wife, daughter and myself. My daughter that was graduating and her husband came out several times to visit with us, play some pool, and just relax on the deck overlooking the lake. We had an opportunity to visit a bit with Fran and Barney one evening and get to know a little more about them. Let me tell you they are good people and we absolutely enjoyed our stay in their home. There is no doubt in my mind that the next time we are in the Omaha area we will contact Fran and Barney to see if their home is available. Fran and Barney were just outstanding hosts! Thank you Fran and Barney!

Fran and Barney's home is just what it bills itself as — beautiful and relaxing! It overlooks a lake that offers a wonderful mile-and-a-half walking trail, something we took advantage of! Fran and Barney were so very hospitable, too, making sure we were all set, including well fed for breakfast! :)

We really enjoyed our stay at Fran's house. We came down to Nebraska for the Husker game and Bennington was a great spot to stay. It was a half an hour to Omaha and an hour to Lincoln. Fran made an amazing breakfast and went out of her way to be a great host. Fran and Barney were super nice people!!

Fran and Barney were excellent hosts! Their home is absolutely gorgeous and did not disappoint. This was our first vacation with our 6 week old baby and it was the perfect place to stay! We felt like we were staying with family/friends. The views are amazing and we enjoyed several walks around the lake.

Fran and Barney were exceptional hosts, and their home was a perfect fit for our group. We had used the home for part of a bachelor party with 8 gentlemen to play yard games, grill out, and use the lake to kayak and paddle board. The proximity to the water is awesome, and the hosts did a great job of making themselves available as needed but allowing us to explore the outdoor space and use their house space nicely. It was a wonderful stay, and Fran even prepared us bacon and eggs the next morning! It was a wonderful stay, and I would consider coming back for other reasons in the future as well. Judith was a wonderful host, flexible with check in, as we were driving in from out of town. Hospitable, and an all around wonderful person. The pictures do not do justice for her beautifully appointed home. We had a wonderful stay and would love for an opportunity to stay here again.

Judith was a wonderful host! She's very caring and wants to make sure you're comfortable with your stay. She lives just upstairs in case you need her for anything immediate, but she's so quiet you'll hardly know she's there! Her home is in a really great neighborhood. We were able to go for walks without any worries and the small lake and river area is beautiful. Made for a tranquil work trip!

Two of my friends / professional colleagues & I decided to drive from Dallas to Omaha to attend the Berkshire Hathaway Annual Shareholders Meeting. I was responsible for finding a place to stay. When I saw the labyrinth in the front yard of this listing, I knew this was it! My friends were not familiar w/ Airbnb & seemed somewhat apprehensive. (I am the property mgr for an Airbnb in DFW and knew Judith’s place would be far, far better than any hotel). We arrived, met Judith (the host) and toured the house. Judith was very warm and welcoming - we all felt instantly at ease with her. My friends were thrilled. The house is gorgeous - very peaceful – on the lake - has a steam shower and dry sauna - & of course, the labyrinth…. We had a busy schedule & it rained the entire weekend – so we couldn’t take advantage of everything. None-the-less, we had a wonderful stay – Judith was a fabulous host and Paco, her dog, was adorable. If you're considering staying at the Rainforth Retreat Center, BOOK IT! You will not regret it! We were in Omaha for the Olympic Trials and staying in hotels for 7 nights. We had booked the Rainforth Retreat for 2 of those nights. When we arrived at the house Judith greeted us and showed us around. The house is absolutely beautiful and the view is amazing. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly. I had the opportunity to visit with Judith. She is an incredible person and I found myself wishing we had had more time together. The guys were able to get out on the lake using the kayaks and paddle board that Judith provided. Those two nights were the most relaxing part of our trip! I truly hope that we can visit again.

Awesome time! The steam shower helped me relax after being on the road for a week straight! Judith rocks! So does her retreat center!

Mike and Donna are great hosts with a ton of local knowledge to share. My husband enjoyed a field trip with Mike to the mobile co-op and was introduced to some of the guys that run the local mill. Everyone is very friendly and my husband and I can't wait to finally move here! It was relaxing to sit on the porch and enjoy a conversation for a change! Hoping to turn this connection into a lasting friendship

Fran and her husband were amazing, accommodating, and generous hosts! They have a beautiful, spacious home that they obviously put a lot of love, thought, and time into just a little outside Omaha in a very peaceful community. They got me out of a real bind when my RV was damaged by hail and subsequent water damage leaving me with no place to stay at the last minute. They welcomed me into their home, allowed me to wash my soaked items from the RV, and offered unprecedented hospitality! I even awoke to them having switched loads and folded my laundry and having gone out of their way to provide a breakfast that met my food allergy needs despite my assurances that they didn't need to go out of their way. I cannot say enough wonderful things about my stay!

Fran and Barney were the perfect hostess and host. They welcomed us into their beautiful home, willing to make us comfortable, anticipating any possible need during our stay. Although it was a brief layover, we thoroughly enjoyed the conversation and their kindness.

Upon arrival, We were greeted by our host Fran and her husband . We chose the upstairs room which was beautifully decorated. It had an ensuite bathroom with a tub. We loved the large windows in the living and dining area that overlooked the lake. The house was so warm and tastefully decorated. Fran was such a gracious hostess. She went out of her way to help us find yummy restaurants as well as providing us with a breakfast each morning. I would highly recommend you stay in this wonderful home, if you are ever in the Omaha area. You definitely won't be disappointed. We feel we made friends as well as finding a great place to stay.

This listing could be called Heaven on the Lake, or Serenity Now, or Awesome! What an exquisite home!! The pictures couldn't capture the serenity! Our room was extremely clean and very comfortable with a tv, and a ceiling fan. The shower has great pressure and soft water- YAY! Then, there is the marvelous Fran, who is the hostess with the most-est!! Fran was in steady communication and had many suggestions about where to eat and had great ideas about the local shops, too. She is a fascinating person and we chatted for a few hours on the deck overlooking a beautiful country lake with a walking trail, enjoying all of the colorful birds and sounds of nature. In the morning, Fran was conscientious and provided a variety of breakfast options- how nice! Fran and her husband Barney are kind people I would love to be neighbors with. This will definitely be where I will book the next time I come to Omaha, that is, if someone else doesn't beat me to it!! This is listing not to be overlooked! The drive from Bennington is just a few minutes from the central Dodge Street and so worth the stay. My daughter and I can't say enough about this delightful place. It was such a neat place that we just had to return to the lake and took a walk together. What great memories we have of our stay with Fran and Barney.

Beautiful home overlooking the lake. Awesome stay with this couple! Fran was great with communicating with us while we were on the road coming into town. The house is a small drive outside of Omaha but totally worth it! When bad weather came into town, Fran text us making sure we were somewhere safe. We enjoyed our last night with a few drinks on the deck with this great couple! We go to Omaha annually for a dance competition and will definitely look to stay with Fran and Barney instead of a hotel in the future. It was a very family feel! We loved it!

Best experience with Airbnb by far. The instructions were clear, flexible check in schedule as well. Their home is charming and the beautiful view from the porch is hard to beat. Their hospitality was unmatched and the breakfast provided in the morning was fantastic. Would absolutely recommend staying here! If ever in Omaha again, we sure will!

In a word, lovely. The home couldn't be more beautiful. It is perfectly set up for a relaxing bed and breakfast stay. It is a wonderful thing to be able to enjoy a rural lakefront home and yet still be within close proximity to Omaha including Old Market which happens to be a mere 25 minute drive. Staying with Fran and Barney is more akin to staying with your favorite aunt and uncle that you don't get to see often enough than staying at a bed and breakfast. When we arrived, Fran warmly welcomed us and made us feel right at home. She gave us some restaurant recommendations that turned out to be in a cute little downtown area of Elkhorn. When we got back later that evening and met Barney for the first time. He was engaging to talk with as well. As our visit went on, they both proved to be very easy to talk with and very personable. Fran's attention to detail is remarkable. From the breakfast each morning, to the Keurig coffee machine with lots of brand name pods, to the cleanliness of the rooms and bathroom, we didn't need anything more from our stay. It truly exceeded our expectations. On our last morning there (Saturday), Fran and Barney baked a delicious breakfast casserole and we all enjoyed it together. As we were leaving Fran made sure we had coffees for the road. We could not have been more delighted with our visit. We have found our place to stay every time we come to Omaha. We will be back.

This is a perfect place to stay in Elkhorn! So close to our family and just minutes from downtown Omaha. The neighborhood is beautiful and the room is private and extra comfy. 5 stars all the way!

We had a wonderful stay at Jessica's beautiful home. The neighborhood was lovely and very quiet. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was great, and the space is very spacious. We even got to park in the garage. We were able to come and go without going through the main house or disturbing them, and really appreciated the privacy. Jessica was a very good hostess and made us feel very at home. She had everything we needed to be comfortable for our 2 night stay and we would definitely stay there again.

WOW! This was our first time using airbnb and it exceeded our expectations! What sold us was the bike trail around the lake and the view of the sunrise off the lake from our bedroom! Our host met us upon arrival and gave us a tour of their beautiful house even how to run the remote! I asked Fran about some places to eat and she had them all typed out for us when we got there! I dont think I will stay in a hotel again! The breakfast was amazing and ate on the deck in the sunshine with a view of the lake. Super friendly and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable! Extra room if and when we take our kids with us the next time! We forgot a couple minor things and Fran was able to provide! We will definitely come back and love airbnb!!! Thanks!!!

We really enjoyed staying here. Fran and Barney were enjoyable to visit with, and very hospitable. We learned a lot about Omaha, and Fran fixed a great breakfast. We loved the view of the lake from the bedroom, could watch the fireflies at night. Also enjoyed walking the 1.7 mile trail around the lake. Being outside of Omaha was fine, it's a pretty drive into town.

This was my first time using Air BnB, and what a great experience it was! We rented this beautiful home for a church retreat for a smaller group of women. It was perfect! The home was peaceful & quiet with an amazing view overlooking the lake and plenty of room to spread out. Fran was also the perfect hostess. She had a very inviting & happy demeanor and you could tell that she loves life. She also communicated very well throughout the process & went up & beyond by making sure we had everything we needed, including dishes, coffee, etc. Every lady who attended agreed that they felt refreshed & pampered by the end of the day.
