  • If you’re looking for an up north get away this is the perfect place. Extremely affordable for me and two of my friends and right along the Muskegon River for any of your seasonal fishing trips! The host was very hospitable , quick to respond and gave many tips on the area and fishing as well. 5/5 would come again!

  • A spacious, clean, private place if you're in the area. All the amenities you could want!

  • Great place! As others have said, the pictures were accurate and the natural beauty of the property and area are special. It was a stressful 5 day stay as I was helping my sister declutter her home for sale. It was good to come back to Cody's suite, it's calm green paint color and clutter-free space was just what I needed. I liked having my own entrance, as I didn't disturb anyone with my coming/going. The value was so good, so so much better than a hotel. As I may be in there are again to help my sister, I sure hope Cody's place is available. The natural beauty of the Muskegon River and this property are great. As I was here in February, I didn't really get to enjoy it. I'm more of a warm weather outdoor person than winter. Thanks again, Cody!

  • Cody's "Not Your Mother-in-law's Suite was perfect in every way. I stayed here while in the area for work and it was extremely clean and very open, which I am a fan of. And they made check in super simple! I would recommend this place to anybody.

  • Great place, everyone is so friendly. Would definitely stay again

  • Not your Mother's-in-law suite was so comfortable. Located in a beautiful area and surprisingly private. We will definitely be staying there again!

    Andrea2020-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a great stay here for a relaxing winter weekend away! My husband LOVED being able walk out the door and be steps away from fishing! They had a great setup inside and streaming services inside for a relaxing movie day. The place was clean, very spacious, and the beds were comfortable. They had nice touches to make us feel very comfortable and help with a few things we forgot. Checkin was easy with details to make it seamless. We met Cody and he was helpful with local recommendations, too! We can’t wait to come back!

    Lauren2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • This place is great! Superb value for what you get! Beds are comfy, TV is large, WIFI works great. Fair warning: if you have Sprint you will not have service on the property at all. The river was nice to look at with my daughter. In the summer the Muskegon is great for tubing and other water activities (note- they do not provide that, just a tip). The space was very clean and they have cleaning supplies available if you need to tidy up.

  • This was a charming place to relax for a few days. We hope you don’t renovate it because it is perfect just the way it is!

    Sandy2019-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • This was my second time here & was even better than the first. There were three of us there for a girls weekend. We each had a comfy seat, watched dvds & vhs, plenty of room to cook, & kitchen tools. It was nice to meet our hosts & have good conversation, but we also had an abundance of peace & quiet. One afternoon we went to Newaygo & enjoyed hitting bunch of little shops on the main street. We'll definitely be doing this again!

Enjoy the serenity of nature at our cozy cabin in the heart of the Manistee National Forest. I designed this cabin to be your home away from home. The outdoor private shower, hammocks, zero gravity chairs, outdoor eating area, fire pit and beautiful lighting will help you escape from reality.  When it rains, sit under one of the metal roofed porches and enjoy the sounds of soothing raindrops as they fall while you kick back with a drink or two.
Just relax and take joy in the all that nature has to offer.  There’s plenty of wildlife in sight, you’ll see deer roaming the pastures, lots of turkey, chickens and various other birds. Enjoy the picturesque views while soaking in the hot tub and sipping your morning coffee or under the stars with a nightcap or two. The cabin is against hundreds of acres of state land and the trail riding is perfect. Bring your side by side, quads and even your horses. Lots of space to park your trailers.
The local town offers an at home feel. You need to try the buffet at Sally's, the great food at North Star, and the drinks at Newaygo Brewery.

  • Great place, nice and cozy a great place to get away.

    Suzanne2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Ben and Tiffany were very welcoming. They had lots of information about things to do in the area. The hot tub was great. So quiet and relaxing.

    Brenda2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Ben and Tiffany's place was absolute perfection. The hosts went absolutely above and beyond to make sure we checked in smoothly and had everything we needed for the stay. There was even a socking of goodies waiting for us when we arrived! We had fresh eggs every morning from the 10 chickens living on the property. We had a great time waking up and saying "Hi" to them every morning even letting them out some days. The place was warm, well-stocked, and quite. It was a perfect get-away where one day we could stay in and read by the cozy fire, the next we could go into town and eat out, and then the next day we could hike the NCT for hours. It was the best of every world. Would definitely recommend!

    Marysha2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Ben & Tiff are top notch hosts in my book. Excellent accommodation and hospitality. Perfect winter escape just an hour from GR. Thanks a bunch!

    Josh2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • This is the coziest cabin! The hosts are incredibly hospitable and very thoughtful. The chickens and access to farm fresh eggs made for a delicious breakfast. With the snow falling, we sat in the hot tub and drank champagne (birthday celebration). The fireplace/stove was delightful and provided a cozy atmosphere. The kitchen was perfect for cooking and the beds were comfy (and big!). Plus, cute little antique shops nearby. Don’t hesitate on this Airbnb!!!

  • Vintage getaway. Spotless with great fun lake toys. Safe and peaceful

    Sonya2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Ericka’s place is so fun! It was the perfect little getaway for my boyfriend and I! There is no service or wifi (my boyfriend and I have T Mobile and AT&T) so if you’re looking to catch up on a little work while you’re there, this is definitely not the place for you. However, we were looking to unplug, so it was lovely! It’s super close to the Loda Lake Wildflower Sanctuary which made for a great hike and the dock/kayaks are very accessible. The place looks and feels like going to grandma’s house in the 90s, only made more complete with an extensive vhs collection, Nintendo, and board games galore! Would definitely recommend staying here for a unique and relaxing time!

    Lauren2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great vintage cottage. Close to lots of ATV trails and the lake is great!

    Bridget2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • This was my 1st Airbnb and it was great. Ericka's place was rustic and very comfy. Reminded me of visiting my grandpa in the thumb years ago. Location was great. My cell service didn't work, which was great, made for an extremely relaxing weekend.

The Sanity Saver is a perfect location to enjoy all Michigan has to offer. Relax in the hammock, enjoy a cup of fresh ground coffee, delight in a bonfire, and take in the fresh air as the wildlife and natural beauty of the area awakens. Located on Diamond Lake, the Sanity Saver features 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. While not directly on the water, access is steps away. Take in the breathtaking sunrise and sunset in this quaint location.
Our mission is to provide affordable lodging for families without sacrificing amenities. It's expensive to take a family on vacation and we want our guests to feel at home in a comfortable and safe space without breaking the bank. During these challenging times of COVID-19 we are working even harder to make your stay as affordable, enjoyable, and safe as possible. We have worked with our professional cleaning crew to update our cleaning and disinfecting processes. While we were already meeting all the requirements currently recommended by the CDC, we took this time to examine our processes and make some additional adjustments. One of the ways we were able to keep our costs down was by having our guests wash all towels prior to departure. We provide luxury hotel linens for our guests and as such, even with a large capacity washer, the number of towels in each load is limited. In addition, the thick towels require additional drying time. By adding this to our guests check-out procedure, guests were able to do a load or two while enjoying time with their family or packing to head home, without negatively impacting their stay. This process cut our cleaning costs considerably and was reflected in our rental rates. After reviewing our cleaning processes we have decided to discontinue this practice. Effectively immediately, our professional cleaners will be responsible for washing ALL linens during the turnover process. This change has increased our costs and therefore, we have added a minimal cleaning fee to all rentals to cover this additional expense. ***************** Diamond Lake offers 170+ acres of surface waters with depths of 25 feet. Fisherman has reported catching bass, black crappie, bluegills, perch, and pike. The DNR maintains a public access site with boat launch on the Southeast side of the lake, with an outhouse and parking. Diamond Lake Park is located on the Northeast side of the lake and is operated by the Newaygo County Parks Department. The lakefront park offers over 150 acres of woods, trails, and 2000 feet of Diamond Lake waterfront. The Sanity Saver provides a great place for families to enjoy the outdoors. The fire pit is ready for roasting s’mores, hotdogs, and campfire stories. We also offer an assortment of outdoor games to keep kids of all ages active and having fun. Various board, card, dice games are available inside the cottage, along with a selection of movies for kids and adults. We also provide an array of extras, such as all linens, fully stocked kitchen, washer/dryer with laundry detergent and dryer sheets, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, dishwashing detergent, and various cleaning supplies. We also include beach towels. The furnace was hooked up and serviced in September 2019. Ready to go for the colder days and nights that fall brings with it. We also provide an electric heater in the bedroom and living room for added warmth, as well as two electric blankets. Ceiling fans were added to both bedrooms in August 2019. Wine fridge added in August 2019 for our guests' use. Graco Pack N Play and Cosco Simple Fold High Chair with 3-Position Tray - New 2019. Just bring your clothes and your food and you're set to enjoy a relaxing or playful stay. No fires outside of the fire ring and no smoking inside the cottage.
    Quiet and friendly neighbors abound!
  • We chose the Sanity Saver as we had been bringing our kids up to the White Cloud area a few times a year for 12 years. We love the quiet location and the respite from busy life. The Sanity Saver was the perfect place for our family getaway of board games, movies and naps. We walked in to a welcome note and mugs ready for coffee or hot chocolate. We were kept cozy warm with the heaters and electric blankets. We appreciated the blackout curtains in all the rooms, especially since all four of our kids slept in each morning! That was a nice treat! We also appreciated all the little touches: extras in the bathroom if you forgot a toothbrush or razor, laundry soap available so we could do a load, a jar of fresh coffee beans on the counter, even the tub of Legos for the kids to play with. Robin even contacted us to see how our stay was going and to let us know of a locally scheduled event in case it affected us. We will treasure the memories with our kids and look forward to returning in the future to make more!

    Mike2019-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot - just as described. Very clean with all kinds of nice amenities. Robin was awesome to work with!! We are looking forward to our next visit!!

    Jeff2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Nice place to stay and relax. The time that was spent on the informational book on the house and the area was such a great idea. We loved it there and will definitely come back. Thanks again Airbnb we enjoyed the time away.

    Janet2019-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • We booked Robin's place for weekend get-a-way. The place was perfect for our family. We enjoyed the fall colors, getting out to explore the area, and a movie night. There was perfect photo ops at public boat launch at sunset, too! Robin was a great host and very accommodating.

    Jennifer2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • First off Robin is awesome, easy to work with and very quick to respond. We had to unfortunately leave a day earlier and Robin worked with us to make the changes to our itinerary which is something she didn't have to do. Now the place is great, easy walk down to Diamond Lake, very quiet and peaceful with all the trees/birds around the house. We were in town for a wedding so had a party of 4 people and our 8 month old son and the place was plenty big for us and had all the things we would need so made it a lot easier for us to not have to pack all the items you need for a baby. House was clean, yard is awesome and we enjoyed our time by the outdoor fire pit. Would definitely recommend and hope we are able to come back at some point.

    Johann2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Sanity saver was cute, private, tastefully decorated, and fully stocked with everything we needed to make our stay stress free. Very pleased thank you 😀

    Kaila2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay at a very affordable price. We loved the personal touches that Robin put into this, especially the huge binder with area information and things to do. We also appreciated the coffee cups left for us. Our son and his family live in the area and they were able to come spend a lot of time with us and the added touch of the games and other toys that they could use while they visited us really made for a great stay. We definitely will consider this place on our next trip to Michigan.

    Dale2019-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great value, and everything we expected. The house was clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend the Sanity Saver, it was great.

Quaint cottage located on beautiful Ryerson Lake halfway between Newaygo and Fremont. It features a large, flat yard with some great trees. We are right on the water and have a sandy beach area, a dock, and a very gradual slope in the water that is great for small children. Inside we have an open floor plan that makes great use of the space.
The space is currently being refinished from top to bottom, so we will have pictures up as soon as possible. It features a brand new kitchen, living room, and dining room. For sleeping, we have a bedroom with a queen bed and a large sunroom with 2 bunk beds. We also have a very comfortable sleeper sofa in the living area. Outside, we have two kayaks and a paddle board that you are free to use.

  • Steve is an amazing host! The place is well stocked with almost everything you could think of! The view off the deck was amazing! The house looks small from outside but we had 7 people and were more than comfortable. We look forward to going back again!

  • Such a great spot to relax with the family!! Even with the freezing temperatures outside, the cabin was nice and cozy! Steve was great to work with and it was a great cabin for our trip. Please note-it is rustic-no WiFi or cable, but plenty of DVD/VHS tapes and antenna for tv. We were able to get some cell signal but it was spotty. Definitely enjoyed the spot and would be a DREAM to stay in the summer when fishing/tubing/swimming would be an option!!!

  • Dad's Cabin was great! What a beautiful setting! Steve was great to work with and the warm pumpkin pie he hand delivered was delicious! We would stay here again!

  • A great place for people interested in fishing the Muskegon river. Boat launches, gas, 7 Mile Inn, and Newaygo are relatively nearby. Steve is a great host who communicates well, checks you in upon arrival and explains things. He even helped us out when we got into a little pickle! We traveled with a truck and small boat trailer that easily turned around in the driveway (being comfortable backing up our trailer was helpful). Highly recommend for the sportsmen!

  • Dad's Cabin is located a little ways off the beaten path. Close enough to a store but far enough that you can forget the worries of every day life. Steve was a great host. He messaged me very helpful directions to the cabin. Once there, he welcomed us, gave us a tour, and showed us where we could find every thing. It was just my fiance and i the first night so we relaxed on the back porch that overlooks the river. The porch has twinkly lights that added a romantic touch to our evening. The next day we spent out on the river and just lost track of time enjoying ourselves. Its a beautiful area! Steve brought over delicious homemade fudge! He was an excellent host, very kind and helpful! I definitely recommend Dads Cabin and look forward to staying again in the future! :)

  • Great hospitality, friendly hosts, beautiful scenery. We'll be back soon!

  • I got this place on a whim for a weekend to get some alone time for a project, and it's the best idea I've had in a while. Though there was no desk in the lodge, I makeshifted one out of an end table and read outside. The lodge itself was clean and cute and the blankets were warm. Mattress was firm and very comfortable. The coffee maker inside the lodge was a great touch. My dog LOVED running around the garden. I really appreciated how the host coordinated among guests who might have been bringing dogs (though I ended up being the only one), and the lake was super peaceful. Great place - I would definitely do this again.

  • What a great visit! Beautiful location, quiet and the lake right at your doorstep. I wasn’t sure what to expect with the outdoor kitchen and shower, but it wasn’t bad at all and was kept clean during my entire visit. Great amenities such as kayaks and boats, fire pits, and more are available for use. Great host who kept in contact with me on my day of arrival. Looking forward to another and hopefully longer stay.

  • The Lodge was a perfect retreat for us to enjoy during our Michigan Getaway! The property was amazing and quiet and comfortable. We loved the dock and having access to the outdoor kitchen and hot tub. Very comfortable with the perfect amount of rustic flared. And it was so close to town where we could access Lake Michigan beaches, hiking trails, and all the you-pick blueberry fields we could stand. Would definitely recommend!

  • The Lodge is lakeside and I loved the cool murphy bed! Felt like my private cabin on the water. So relaxing!

  • We had a great stay at Racquel's place! It had everything we needed for a cozy little getaway. We absolutely loved the fireplace and all of the throw blankets! The mattresses were firmer than we would typically prefer, but that was the only detraction for us. We are talking about retuning in the summer with a few more friends to really enjoy the outdoor area as well.

    Keely2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful home! We had a very short stay at Raquel’s place for a nearby family wedding. It was beautifully appointed, immaculately clean, and had lovely touches throughout. Comfortable beds with cozy linens, and plenty of space to hang out. I’m sure it’s even better in the summer so close to the river. Book it...you won’t be disappointed!

Your Glamping Gateway to the North. Nestled in Michigan forest, our Wanderhut is a short 8-minute drive to Newaygo, 45 from Grand Rapids. Experience the joys of a camping getaway in comfort. Fishing, hiking, biking are only steps outside your door. Fall asleep with a campfire and a chorus of crickets; wake up with the sun and the chirping of birds.
Our 3-season wall tent is the perfect camping getaway for those who want a few of the comforts of home. Furnished with a queen bed, the tent itself is spacious and comfortable. LED lights set a festive scene, and the screened in porch protects you from summer insects. While the tent does not have a bathroom or running water, a port-a-potty has been installed nearby. Shower/bath facilities are available at Henning Park Campgound (May 1st- October 1st)which is 5miles from the tent. A $6 vehicle day pass can be purchased at the main office to use the facilities. (Bath house, tennis/pickle ball courts, swimming pond, and Muskegon River access and boat launch). During the colder months (October -April) we install a small wood stove in the tent to help take the chill off. This stove will need tending to through out the night so it is still recommended that you plan accordingly for the weather (winter sleeping bags and proper attire).
The wall tent is nestled between two large properties, and we know our neighbors well. Within easy walking distance of the wall tent are access points to both the North Country Trail (which runs 4,500 miles across the Northern US), and the Coolbough Natural areas. Downtown Newaygo is a short 8-minute drive away, and the town has several restaurants, a cafe and brewery, and grocery options. Access points to the Muskegon River are also there, and tubers, kayakers, canoeists, and fisherman frequent the area year-round.
  • If you are hesitant about camping but have an open mind this is the place for you! the place was spotless when we arrived and Bryce and Meg took all the anxiety away from camping ie what to bring etc there was a coffee machine and the place was well equipped with firewood. We didn't have a couple of things and Bryce and meg were quick to get back to us and assure that we have all that we need. The location was perfect to explore Newaygo and do some hiking. cant wait to come back!

  • A really nice getaway with a lovely place to stay! Having a nice cozy bed to sleep in made the experience more comfortable and enjoyable. I loved the firepit and the supply of wood and kindling to help the fire started. It was a clean space and I would definitely stay here again.

We cooked all our food over the fire which was amazing. Bryce was incredibly hospitable and attentive. Tent was clean and warm. A great way to enjoy secluded camping!

  • Such a great little spot to get away from the rest of the world! You’d never know that there were houses nearby except for the occasional vehicle that drove by. The tent was perfect and we were surprised by all the amenities. They made sure we had water, a little burner, coffee and directions for local things to do. Hoping we can stay here again!

If you consider yourself a musician, artist, or writer...if terms like "The Shire" or "English countryside" appeal to you...if you find both rest and rejuvenation in an outdoor setting… Then you will find your muse in the former personal residence of world-renowned designer and architect Ray Jansma. He custom-built this home for his family in 1951.
Dear Friend, My wife and I recently bought the former residence of the late Ray Jansma. We are in the process of restoring it and are now opening it up to you. Our realtor remarked that in his 30-year-long career this was his favorite home. One visitor described it, along with the Cappon House in Holland, a “must-see home in Michigan.” The whimsical style of Jansma, who blends Frank Lloyd Wright with literary Hobbiton, will awaken your imagination. (The home even has a clock tower!) Also on the property: a spacious workshop where Jansma built the wooden sailboat that now sails the Great Lakes and ports in Chicago (or so we’ve been told).
*Branstrom Park (100 acres of woodlands) (URL HIDDEN) Down the road- where Darling St meets Ramshorn *Arboretum Park (7 acre park with all trees native to Michigan) 540 E Pine Street *Wessling Observatory (Two Saturday's each month May-October join a Star party - see Jupitor or a Meteor shower!) $5/adult 6523 W Baseline Rd *Free summer concerts in Veteran's Park *Dogwood Center for Performing Arts *Numerous Lakes with public access *Numerous Farm Stands, Berry patches, Local Amish
  • Jeff and Erin are amazing hosts and have wonderful kids! I’ve enjoyed myself a lot - great conversations as well as me-time to paint in their workshop! Highly recommended, I can’t wait to go back!

  • This is a very nice and quiet but very scenic little area, set outside of town but close enough for your needs! Nice country roads with plenty of wild life to watch and hear! Their home is full of local history and a treasure of art throughout their home! They are very courteous and hospitable and Erin is no doubt an excellent cook!

  • My stay with Jeff and Erin was great! They have a cute cat named Harlow and three sweet children. They all were so kind and helpful if I needed anything. Very quick to respond and answer any questions

  • This was a great place to stay. Everything was very clean and comfortable. Jeff and Erin are great people who were extremely welcoming and friendly. The location is beautiful and peaceful, and close enough to many other relaxing places, including parks and lake Michigan sand dunes. Just what I needed to unwind.

    Matt2019-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • Jeff and Erin were phenomenal. From communication prior to arriving to their warm welcome, to a lovely breakfast and some amazing suggestions for the rest of the trip, I couldn't have possibly asked for a better experience. Their home is stunning, and the bedroom is spacious and so beautiful. You have your own wing of the house, essentially, which is nice if you're looking for some time to relax alone. Jeff and Erin were very welcoming when I popped out into the common spaces, though, and were happy to chat with me. Erin's coffee cake in the morning was scrumptious (possibly the best I've had). The whole family is lovely, the home is a must-see, and Jeff and Erin couldn't possibly offer a better experience. Highly, highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway or retreat.

  • This is my 2nd time staying at Linda's in the round room called The Masters. Something about that room gives me the most solid sleep ever! Hubby and I enjoyed the lake views, the relaxed pace, the breakfast nook amenities, and took advantage of the huge tub in the bathroom. <3 (We could have chosen the the hot tub, but since we had the place to ourselves on this trip and the temperatures had dropped, the indoor tub was a wonderful option.) Next time we are in the area, we know to sign right up to stay at Six Crows. We even got to catch the game on tv!

  • Great, cozy place on the lake. Loved all the many special touches, breakfast food, hot tub, comfortable lounge area. Linda is a great host always willing to provide tips and meet the needs of her guest. We went for the Irish festival and this was a relaxing retreat. Loved the kayaks and amenities on the lake!

  • What a great place!! It's quiet, and tucked away on a small lake. The home is a perfect setup for a getaway, and a nice little bed and breakfast with more amenities than you would expect for the price. The hosts were nice enough to let me borrow their flat-bottom boat for some bass fishing. This really is a nice gem if you need a getaway!

    Damien2019-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • Linda was incredibly hospitable and her home is amazing! All the rooms have their own personal touch of her decorative talents. We had a wonderful experience sharing the common areas with the other guests and we made use of the watercraft a couple times. I would highly recommend a stay here. For the price you cannot beat it!

Luxury campsite featuring two real queen beds for your comfort, fully equipped with all the camping gear you need & more. Sleeping bags, pillows, towels, lanterns, flashlights, electric cord into the tent. Plenty of space at foot of beds for personal gear. Fully equipped outdoor kitchen & shower. Kitchen/fire pit shared with guests in The Lodge. See pictures. Wildlife, watercraft (2 2-person kayaks, row boat, pedal boat), shared hot tub and yard games. Rustic, good value lakeside getaway.
The Glamp is on a hillside nook overlooking the lake. Pretty location and fairly private, but not handicap accessible. The steps are steep leading down to The Glamp, as you will see in the pictures. Alternatively, there is a hillside walkway. It is long and fairly steep, can be a challenge for some, but it's great for fitness buffs of course. No meals are included with the rental of The Glamp. There is plenty of food storage space in the outdoor kitchen and full sized refrigerator, so no need to be cramped inside the tent.

  • Linda and Dave are excellent hosts. We had a mishap on the way there and got in extremely late. Linda was kind enough to stay awake to escort us down the terrain and make sure we got settled in. The Glamp is a great option for those that like to camp but want more amenities. We loved the hot tub, fire pit, listening to the birds, falling asleep under the stars, and drinking our coffee on a bench at the end of the dock in the morning. Our puppy dog was so excited to go swimming and get to run around in nature a bit. We are already looking forward to our next visit to Six Crows!

  • The glamp was very nice and tidy. There was plenty of room. We went mid October, so it was a bit chilly. However, they gave us ample blankets and we had a great time. They provided great local recommendations as well.

  • Linda has such a great spot on the lake. We loved sitting on the pier, and spotting heron, and turtles, and those beautiful lily pads. Great amenities, and great location. Linda is a wonderful host, and offered great suggestions for food, and activities.

  • Glamping at Six Crows was as 5 star as Glamping could possibly be. Linda didn’t miss a thing. Lovely touches, excellent hospitality - both her and her husband - right down to bringing up my bags. Peaceful, camping without all the hassle. Do not hesitate to stay in any of her rooms - this indoors or out. 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

  • My friend and I had our first Glamping experience here at Six Lakes and absolutely loved it. Our hosts were extremely accommodating, even with our out-of-average check-in, and the site itself had everything we could have needed and then some, plus access to a waterfront and beautiful scenery. The tent/living space was very clean, and came fully stocked with all the comforts of home. We will definitely be making our way back for a long stay!

  • Linda's set up for The Glamp was great. She had gone above and beyond to walk us through the location. They had outdoor games available (like giant Jenga), kayaks, and a seating area. We took the kayaks out on the lake which was a lot of fun. Linda is quick to respond with any questions you might have. It was a lovely location to stay.

  • John’s place was fantastic! The photos are great, but the room and the private spaces are even nicer in person. So quiet and immaculately clean. Beautiful touches like fresh flowers and healthy snacks. He’s on his way to being a Superhost! I highly recommend this place. Couldn’t be any better. And Dexter the amazingly cute and friendly dog is a plus, too.

    Christine2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Such a great place to visit! John is a friendly and skilled host. We had a wonderful time borrowing his kayaks to explore the creek on his property, relaxing by a bonfire he built, and chatting over some downright delicious breakfast he prepared. The guest area is spacious, the bed is mighty comfortable, and I can't recommend it enough.

    Tom2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Everything exceeded our expectations! The place was spot clean and the environment was super peaceful. John is very friendly. We really enjoyed our stay there. Definitely recommend to anyone who are interested in staying there.

  • John's place was amazing. The space itself was spacious, beautiful, and immaculately clean. John is a master of hospitality. His attention to detail was a delight. My fiance and I loved the little things like the personal note and little chocolates he had for us on arrival as well the breakfast items and coffee that were available in the morning. John was a warm and welcoming host and we enjoyed the amicable conversations. His dog was also super cute and friendly. :) Although it was rainy while we were there and weren't able to enjoy it to the fullest, John has a peaceful palce to enjoy the outdoors. Would recommend to anyone!

    Jessica2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • My stay at Johns place was unbelievably perfect. His home is so beautiful, surrounded by peaceful nature. John himself was a wonderful host, making my stay as pleasant as possible. I wish I could have stayed longer!

    Lena2019-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • This home is stunning, set in wooded tranquility near a babbling creek. The guest quarters are spacious & immaculate, and decorated simply but richly. Every modern comfort included. John was available, but respected our desire for privacy. Perfect retreat!

  • Creekside Abode was an amazing experience. One of the places that makes AirBNB such a great way to vacation. John and his dog Dexter were the perfect hosts, and made us a delicious breakfast. We hope to stay here again sometime soon.

Great neighborhood with great neighbors! Quite lake with out all of hustle and bustle of a busy lake! You will be 5 miles from Interstate 31 to take you anywhere along Lake Michigan!
  • We had a lovely and relaxing few days at Kathy's home. Even in winter, the view of the lake and the sunset were beautiful and we loved having the hot tub to warm up in.

    Rolando2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing time here. Everything was super clean and we enjoyed our stay very much!

    Emily2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Kathy was one of the best host I've ever had from Airbnb! The house was very clean and the kitchen was fully stocked with new cookware and plenty of cooking seasonings. My and friends and I took a couples trip and we couldn't have chosen a more spacious house to accommodate twelve people. There were even a few different games and puzzles provided at the house in which we took full advantage of playing. Overall I believe Kathy has earned the title of super host, she sent me a packet in the mail just a week prior to our reservation. The packet covered the rules of the house, how to work the different devices in the house, nearby restaurants, grocery stores, activities to do in town. I would recommend anyone who is looking for a nice place to stay in Michigan to book with Katy.

    Robin2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • The house was very spacious, clean, well decorated, and well stocked. Right on the water with a balcony overlooking the lake. The host was very informative and check in was effortless thanks to the welcome packet mailed in advance.

    Nicholas2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Kathy was great! The kitchen comes completely stocked with all the seasonings and cookware you may need. There are so many sleeping surfaces. We had six grown adults in our group and no one had to share a bed. We appreciated the cozy fireplaces, all the blankets and bedding, the beautiful morning views, and the hot tub. We went to the state park for a hike in the winter which was both exhilarating and beautiful.

    Stephanie2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great views! Good vibes! And the lake was amazing even tho we could not swim because it was cold. Overall cleanliness of the house was good! The hot tub! AMAZING ! Just a good overall place to relax and unwind.

    Sarah2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was as advertised! Perfect trip for our family. Kathy was an awesome host!

    Tim2019-10-07T00:00:00Z

Casablanca is a charming (and rustic) little cottage located on Pickerel Lake in Newaygo, Michigan. It's a seasonal 3 bedroom cottage with no heat. It has a full kitchen and full bath with stand up shower on the lower level. All 3 bedrooms are upstairs but there is a sofa bed on the lower level. The cottage is steps away from a dock overlooking the all sports lake. Pickerel Lake is one of 4 lakes in a chain. It also has a public boat launch.
Please note that there is no WIFI access. The cottage comes with a TV and DVD player. The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, stove, full fridge, and coffee maker. Casablanca is 10 minutes from downtown Newaygo with lots of cute shops and restaurants. There is also plenty of hiking and a wetland trail minutes away. The cottage is located on an all sports lake that allows motor boats from 11am-7pm. During peak summer months there can be a lot of boat traffic during the day but the mornings and evenings are peaceful and quiet on the lake. On weekdays through mid-August there is a Day Camp with about 20 children that operate on the adjacent beach area. They will not interfere with your beach and will leave by 4pm each day. There are no children at the day camp on the weekends. You would have your own dock and waterfront area. If you are okay with seaweed it isn't a bad swim area but it is shallow and doesn't go much past a child's waist.
Pickerel Lake is mostly seasonal dwellings. Casablanca Cottage is surrounded by other summer homes and one year round residence. It is a very quiet area.
  • Great house for a family outing. We used the fire pit which was great right next to the lake.

    Nicholas2019-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • Loved the lake and had a great weekend.

    William2019-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful, the house is right on the water and there's a fire pit and a lovely dock and many fish and turtles all around, although there was too much seaweed and the bottom was too mushy for pleasant swimmjng. The camp next door was really friendly and let us use the beach after the camp was over. Overall the house is fairly rustic but really clean, and had all the basic necessities. The little town nearby had some great food/grocery/activity options, including some fantastic kayaking and Pere Marquette is about 50 min. Away for some lake Michigan swimming/hiking. We had an excellent fourth of July weekend and would definitely recommend this adorable house!

"Corner Cottage" is a small cottage with amazing outdoor living on Brooks Lake. When not enjoying the all-sports lake, guests can explore many West Michigan attractions, hike the North Country Trail, fish or tube the Muskegon River and enjoy Newaygo's restaurants, brewery and shopping.
Location! Location! Location! Corner Cottage is located on a "corner" lot of Brooks Lake with 165 feet of wraparound lakefront. Overlooking the lake is a beautiful deck under a canopy of trees. There is a dock, fire area, 2 adult, 1 double and a child's kayak and a stand up paddle board (SUP) for your use. The cottage itself is small, approximately 650sq ft. It is best suited for two adults. There is one bedroom with a full size bed, and a day bed with trundle and a pull-out sofa in the living room. The location is in a great area of Western Michigan. It is located off the main road, on the main body of Brooks Lake surrounded on two sides by water. We have a large deck furnished with a couch, two swivel chairs, high back chairs, a dining table and chairs and a grill. At the waterfront there is a sandy bottom for swimming. The dock is L-shaped so you can fish or sunbathe. There are several kayaks and a paddle board for your use. Brooks Lake has a public boat ramp allowing you to bring along your watercraft. It's an all-sports lake so both tubing and fishing are great! Several bass fishing tournaments are held on the lake every summer. *The cottage is small, approximately 650 sq ft. One bedroom, a bathroom, a laundry area with washer and dryer, a kitchen and a sitting area with television, sleeper sofa, table & chairs, two lounging chairs and a futon with trundle. Quaint. The outdoor balcony, waterfront and views are awesome!
"Corner Cottage" is located in a typical lake community but being on the corner with wraparound frontage, the waterfront and deck are quiet and private.
  • A great trip with my furry 🐶 family. A wonderful location on the lake with beautiful views even in the winter. Good communication. Unfortunately internet was out but didn’t matter much. Great local recommendations. Looking forward to my next trip in the summer! Thanks for having us in your lovely lake cottage.

  • Carol's place is lovely. Well-decorated and situated on a lake. We appreciated all of the amenities, it was great to be able to take the kayaks out and explore! The cottage was spotless and it was very nice to instantly feel comfortable and welcome. Carol is extremely attentive and communicative which put us at ease. Great experience overall!

  • We had a wonderful stay at your beautifully decorated cottage!! Inside and out it was filled with comfortable and pleasant amenities! Enough activities to entertain my 4 boys, kayaking, SUP, fishing, swimming,... Thank you for being such a kind and accommodating hostess Carol!! I have a feeling you have set the bar high with our first Airbnb experience!! Loved it in every way!! ❤️ Kathy Saval and Family

  • Carols cabin was perfect for a girls weekend. It had a paddle board, kayaks, a campfire, a huge porch that overlooked the lake, and all the amenities for cooking! The lake is small and a tad murky but not too weedy and perfect for kayaking/paddle boarding. There is plenty of space for parking. It’s pretty private even though it’s close to the neighbors. We definitely would come back !

    Bridget2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Would highly recommend staying at this beautiful cottage. When you first pull up the drive, you might wonder about privacy. Don't let it fool you. As soon as you walk in and see the views, the doubts fade quickly. While the inside is quite welcoming, outside is even better. Large deck and a nice lounging area down by the water. Couldn't have had a more enjoyable stay.

  • We really enjoyed our stay at Cindys! It was perfectly secluded and cozy. We were able to disconnect from our hectic lives (thank you for no wifi!!!) and enjoy the peace and quiet. The dogs absolutely loved running around too. Made for a perfect weekend!

    Kayla2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful, wooded, and secluded spot to enjoy! Conveniently located close to town. Loved the fire pit and the treats Cindy left for us! :)

    Steph2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Cindy was wonderful! She responded to my questions quickly and courteously. The cabin was homey and very clean. We loved how the cabin is surrounded by trees. It adds to the its charm. We were especially touched by the thoughtfulness that went into having the firepit stocked with wood, kindling, and a lighter and the cute treats basket inside. If we are ever in the area again, we would definitely choose High Bridge 😁

Just a few steps from the back porch is the beautiful Muskegon river! A home large enough to accommodate a large family or group. There is a fire pit and 2 horseshoe pits. Don't forget to bring some meat for grilling! The main floor bathroom has a jetted tub to relax in! The back porch has a large table and some board games for the whole family to enjoy! Oh and for the little ones... A Large sandbox in the backyard. There is something for everyone!
This is a very homey feeling place. Its not super fancy but thats part of why its so relaxing. This is a Brand NEW listing and the beds are new too! If you are the outdoors type there is plenty of activities to do on the river! Activities like floating, kayaking, canoeing but most importantly FISHING! If you are more here to relax you might enjoy some of the local shopping in our downtown area. There is plenty of shops to wonder in and out of.
Please be considerate to the neighbors! They are our friends and are very nice people. Please feel free to say hi! We also have our furry friends whom wonder into the yard to say hi! All are very friendly even with kids. No need to be alarmed. The whole neighborhood gives them all treats as they wonder around.
  • Location, location, location. LOVED being able to see the river from the living room space/dining area and kitchen. We visited in the winter - but the screen in porch with LARGE table would be such a lovely space in warmer months. Our family of 7 greatly appreciated the open space on the first floor, and having lots of room to spread out. Plenty of space for extra bags/coolers/etc. you may have brought in the large entryway. Nice items provided in bathroom in case you forgot anything (like a toothbrush as my husband did). Check-in was very easy with a lock pad on the front door. Loved that it was easy to load our stuff into the house from the driveway through the spacious garage as well (was raining when we arrived so this was a nice plus!) One thing to be aware of (especially if you have anyone in your party with mobility issues), we found the steps to the upper level (where 4 of the 5 bedrooms are) VERY steep and narrow. There was a very solid hand rail to hold on to, but I was thankful my older parents could stay in the first floor bedroom and not need to navigate the stairs. Also, do not recommend taking showers in both bathrooms at the same time, once the downstairs shower turned on I had zero water in the shower upstairs. That being said, our family would definitely return again!

  • Crystal was an excellent host and her house is so beautiful! She really has thought of everything. We had a great time here and would hurry back next time we need to get away.

  • This house was everything we could ask for. Its location on the river is beautiful and they have a nice big fire pit that we really enjoyed. It fit 8 adults with lots of room to spare. Very comfortable beds and was super clean. We even got to bring the dog! I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a group gathering or a relaxing weekend on the river. Thank you Crystal!!

  • Great location for fishing and a very clean space! Crystal was great to work with and very accommodating. I highly recommend staying here!

    Brandon2019-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time at this amazing river getaway. Crystal thought of everything!!! The bathroom had a great jet tub and was furnished with anything you may have forgotten to pack and even extra comforts. If you are like me and prefer to cook while your hubby goes fishing the kitchen is a dream!! She thought of everything and even provided coffee, cider, and hot chocolate!!! There is a water cooler for folks who don’t like well water even. Board games, kids toys, and even doggie bowls! The location for fishing is prime! We truly loved it and will definitely be back!

  • We loved our stay at Shannen's place in Twin Lakes! She was clear and communicative, making our later evening check-in a breeze. It was a great space with all the amenities needed. When there was a small issue with the shower, she was quick to respond and address. The spot is peaceful, relaxing, and the perfect spot for a cozy fall weekend. The porch is so nice that we couldn't pass up using for a (albeit chilly) morning breakfast outside. Thanks for a great stay.

    Lena2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Shannen was an amazing host!! She was very proactive and responsive to any questions I had, even on a weekend night when I was unsure if a noise was okay (it was, I'm just paranoid). I think I read on every single seating area during my stay there including outside, the dining room, the sun room, the living room, the breakfast bar! So many options for comfort in this home. I was even able to take a kayak out on the lake one sunny day, which was so peaceful. Thank you for an amazing stay!

    Caitlin2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice accommodations. Stylish with all the right touches. Very nice experience

  • I could write a book about how amazing Shannen and Doug's home was! The house was spotless and very well stocked with some great amenities! It was a weekend to remember and went way beyond our wildest expectations. I highly recommend their home for anybody! Thanks again for a perfect weekend!

  • Better than expected! Close to MI adventure and silver lake. Highly recommend!

    Doug2019-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Easy check in! Super stylish, clean, and great little touches to make your trip more memorable!

    Debra2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • This rental was spotless! Everything is either brand new or refinished. The amenities and host were wonderful as they went above and beyond providing extras to make sure our stay was easy and comfortable better than a five star hotel! No worries about running out of hot water because it has a tankless water heater so we were able to shower one right after another. All the beds were very comfortable which gave us a great night sleep. Although there is no a/c with all the fans and windows in the house we all were very comfortable and it was not a problem at all! All the neighbors were super nice and the host was very responsive. During our stay we enjoyed the lake with the four person inflatable island, tubes, paddle boat, kayaks, and row boat. The back deck is spacious with lots of room for everyone. The kids also had fun fishing, catching frogs, and watching the turtles. It is a small quiet lake with forest surrounding half of it. We visited Michigan Adventure (20 minute drive)and Pere Marquette beach (30 minutes)on Lake Michigan which I would recommend both. I would say drive a little further for ice cream because the tasty corner service was not that great. Overall I would rent here again! We had a great time and made memories to last a lifetime.

Quiet and secluded on the Muskegon River.
    Wooded and quiet.
  • Perfect location, set far back in the woods, I was so thankful to Chelsea for letting me have my dream bachelor party there! When we arrived all the beds were clean and made, and the bathroom and kitchen were stocked with all the toiletries, towles, utensils, condiments, spices, etc. that we could ever need. The yard was big enough for a game of football, and the property was great for exploring. Chelsea answered all my questions all weekend immediately. The only negatives were that the bathrooms were not at a hotel level of cleanliness, but still tidy and clean by average standards. And the hot tub was half empty, which we had to fill ourselves. The hot tub water was a little dirty too, but it was a nice hot tub, big enough to fit a large group of guys in! The game room/cigar lounge was incredible, and Chelsea worked to ensure that anything that wasn’t up to standard was rectified immediately to the best of her ability. Overall an amazing trip!!!!!

This rental is a modest homey cottage with deck, modern kitchen, wood stove and propane heat. Our rustic family cottage is humble and you will find that it needs some finishing and repairs. Privacy and the out-of-doors are its greatest assets. Our cottage sits on 12 wooded acres and includes several hundred feet of shoreline on a small, no-wake lake. Mature beech, oak, and maple trees screen it from the road and nearby homes and attract migrating and nesting birds and other wildlife.
Our cottage is a four-season, 700-square-foot home, with one bedroom and a double pull-out couch. The house has propane heat and a woodstove is available for people who know how to use one. Windows on all four sides give lots of natural light and a good cross-breeze. Open the French doors and step onto a 12 x 12 deck, perfect for early-morning coffee and evening grilling (bring your own grill). Swim, fish, and sunbathe off our 34-foot dock, or use the canoe and row boat provided for you. On clear nights, watch stars from anywhere on the property.
  • Re-lax-a-tion... complete peace and silence... a serene bath of nature.

    Hallie2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • The place was a perfect little cabin type of feel in the woods and your own private walkway to the lake in the back and the fire pit is right there. My family and I basically just fished the 5 lakes and returned to sleep. I would definitely come back again! Communication was perfect! She was quick to respond and attentive!

    Amanda2019-09-21T00:00:00Z

  • Susettes cottage is magical. The setting is absolutely gorgeous surrounded by giant beautiful trees. A quick walk down the trail leads you to the lake to take a swim or to hop in a kayak. The fire pit is also down near the lake in a beautiful and quiet setting. Would love to return!

    Mandi2019-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • A little cute cottage in the woods. You are practically alone. To the lake one runs 1-2 minutes. There are canoes and kayaks and there is room to make a campfire. Very nice for a break.
