The Seahorse Chalet was a stunning place to stay. We loved it!! It was exactly like the pictures portrayed. The kitchen was fully equipped with all necessary utensils and the fridge stocked with plenty for breakfasts. Katy was an excellent host, she was very helpful and also respected our privacy. The dreadful weather encouraged us to stay indoors with the heater on, which was lovely and relaxing. We'd love to return, but next time during the spring or summer seasons! Joanne & Fintan

Beautiful cottage, would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beach side escape

The chalet was exactly as we expected, cosy, beautifully decorated and just a few seconds walk from the sea front. Although we didn't see Katy on our first day, we felt welcome and at ease as everything we needed was provided; including food for breakfast and some local information (she even had the fire going so the chalet was toasty and warm when we arrived!) When we did meet Katy, she was friendly and helpful, and even gifted us with a beautiful bottle of prosecco to mark our wedding anniversary celebrations. We had a fantastic weekend exploring this beautiful corner of the world, full of friendly people and unspoilt coastline. Katy is a fantastic host; offering a quaint chalet, ideal for a quiet weekend get away.

This was an absolutely perfect place to spend a few days of peace and quiet by the sea. The cottage is as pretty as it looks in the pictures, everything you could need is there - including a well stocked little kitchen. Katy even left a pair of hotel slippers by the door and some goodies in the fridge, which was a lovely touch! She's a lovely host, friendly but also happy to leave me to my own devices which is what I was hoping for really. The place is literally ten paces from the beach, which I walked a few times a day. It's also only a 10-15min walk to a great convenience store in Rush town which is really more like a supermarket. In all, I can't honestly think of anything that would've made this better.

Katy is absolutely charming and very helpful. What more than anything that was said about this charming cottage so comfortable? The decor is perfect, the colors are relaxing, comfort is absolute. The atmosphere is cozy, Rosa (the dog) just say hello in the morning you hear nothing except the sea as soon as one is outside. The photos are quite consistent with reality, nothing is missing from the kitchen or the bathroom. perfect, I highly recommend!

We have been welcomed with the warm shine of candels what made us feeling home immediatly. Had a fantastisch time, and the Seahorse was just the perfect spot for relaxing after a busy Conference week. The Little cottage is unique and wie loved it. Katy's beach front cottage is so cozy and welcoming. The location is lovely, right on the beach and walking distance to lovely restaurants. It was a nice escape from the city but easily accessible to Dublin by bus. She and Killian are excellent hosts and we would not hesitate to stay here again :)

The accommodations were exactly as described if not better. Rosheen and Michael were excellent hosts. While it was short, they were very nice to be around. I went back for a second pass through Dublin. The location is very nice and would be a great place to spend some time as well as having good access to Dublin and the airport.

We had a lovely stay for one night in Rosheen's place. We had travelled through Ireland and were catching a flight the next day. This was a perfect location for us and Rosheen and her family did everything they could to make us feel welcome and comfortable. This is a 3-story townhouse and the guest space is the middle floor. Rosheen and her family use the first and the third floor. However, you feel like you have your own private space and they go out of their way to give you privacy and peace. As you walk in the front door, there is a door to the right that leads into their space, but you walk straight up the stairs and into your own space, so it feels completely separate. There is a spacious and cozy living room and a good sized bedroom that could accommodate all four of us (two adults and two kids). There is also a large bathroom. In the living room there is a little kitchen nook with a microwave and a fridge. In the morning Rosheen was down there way before we got up and set up a few breakfast items for us - very nice touch. There is also parking right outside - very convenient. Malahide itself is a very charming little town and you can walk straight into the town centre in about 2 minutes. The waterfront is right there and we had a wonderful evening stroll. We would definitely come back if we are ever in the area again.

We arrived at midnight from our flight, Rosheen and her husband were very welcoming and even supplied lemsip for my cold. We were very comfortable in 2 rooms with our own bathroom. It was a perfect alternative to airport hotels, and much nicer to wake up in lovely Malahide and wander the village by foot from the house. Thank you Rosheen and Michael for you hospitality. Donna was the BEST! Her home is lovely, secure and very private (even though you're sharing the house with her and her three daughters). We had the entire upstairs to ourselves with two rooms and one bathroom that we shared. She was so pleasant and friendly and willing to help us with whatever we needed. She provided us so much food that we could have stayed a week even though we were just there one night. We had the freedom to use the kitchen whenever we wanted and she gave us plenty of space but was there when we needed. Even though there was a ton of food downstairs for us as well as drinks, she also provided bottled waters and glasses on a tray in our room that was such a sweet touch. Her girls are SO sweet and engaging but did provide privacy when we went upstairs. She has a small dog named Bobby that is the non-allergenic type of poodle that is very friendly and sweet. There was plenty of room in her driveway for both of our rental cars and a security fence and privacy wall that made us feel very comfortable leaving our cars. It is exactly how the picture shows and her family has lived in that area her entire life with her mother's home a couple doors down and her brother next door. She was so pleasant!! I really connected with her immediately and hope that I have the opportunity to stay there again. Lovely family and beautiful spacious home. The rooms upstairs were huge and the bathroom(which is located in one of the two bedrooms upstairs) was stocked so well with a large storage area with lots of towels, wash cloths and toiletry items if needed. Superb host. She waited outside for us as we drove up so we could be sure we found the right house. Just awesome!

From the beginning Donna made me feel home and her warm behaviour is priceless! She is part of my life now. So everyone can imagine how for simply a week time, I fell inlove with her and her lovely family! I WOULD STRONGLY RECOMMEND DONNA !! ATTENTION- NOT ONLY FOR 1-2 DAYS TRAVELLERS, BUT for people who will arrive for first time in Ireland and are planning to stay in the country permanently. She would be your GREAT BEGINNING. Was perfect for me and a colleague who were in Dublin for work. Donna was very easy to get along with and were made to feel very welcome in her home. The rooms were better than the pictures show. There was also secure off road parking. She also has the cutest little dog!

I cannot recommend this wonderful family enough! It was like staying in a 5 star hotel (they had even left out sweeties!). The room had everything and was lovely and clean. Gabriel collected me from the bus stop because the weather had been bad, and I was greeted by 2 adorable little boys! I didn't get to meet Ligia but the rest of the family was extremely welcoming and I felt right at home. Thank you for having me in your home. It was such a pleasure to meet you all! Ligia was very kind and helpful. She was very helpful in getting us to and from the bus. On the way to her house we had a hard time and the host came to find us. Evaleen and her family were extremely nice and sweet. Also, they have a wonderful garden and livingroom! I would definitely stay at her house again if I visit the city there again!

The room and ensuite facilities are of a very high standard of comfort and cleanliness. It made the ideal one night stop-over for us as we travelled up to Belfast, having arrived by ferry at Dublin Port. We left refreshed next day.

Evaleen, and her family, were super friendly and understandable over my short stay. Even though I had terrible jetlag. The town is small, but had a lovely atmospher. The room was beautifully decorated and warm. I would deffiantly visit again!

My stay with Peter was great. The room has hotel quality. It has its own bathroom (completely renovated) and a separate entrance. After Dublin it is about a 15 minute drive. Mi estancia en casa de Peter ha sido muy bien. La habitación ha estado muy limpia. Me ha encantado que la habitación tiene un baño separado.

Peter and Gemma were very welcoming hosts. The room was beautifully decorated and spotless as was the fabulous new en suite. I had a great nights sleep, very comfortable bed and Peter even drove me to the airport. I would recommend this house to all Airbnb travellers as it is perfect for an airport stop-over.

We liked that we were away from the city of Dublin. It is only a 20-30min train ride (return is €6.89). We walked to the beach and "mini cliffs". Half hour walk from Peter's. It was amazing. There is also a hotel there that you can eat and drink at. Charming pubs. Both hosts were very nice to wait for our late arrival. Friendly people. We liked the private entrance and ensuite. Clean and awesome kitchen. Bed is comfy. Plenty of storage. My husband and I both decided if we were to come back to Ireland we would prefer to stay in the countryside or village.

Peter and Gemma were very accomodating, and very nice and kind. They have a busy household, but there is always room for more! They are very spiritual and intelligent people. A wonderful experience in Ireland! I highly recommend them as hosts.

Emma was really helpful and available to answer to all our questions . We had a very nice stay at Emma's Place. Her apartment is amazing, really cosy, comfortable, well-decorated. We felt like home. It is situated 20min away from Dublin, but very convenient to go to the city center with the public transportation. I 100% recommend her place.

The week-end at Emma's place was great. The apartment is great and quit. It's not too far from the city center in Dublin by train and the train station is just around the corner! Emma was really kind and helpfull. She provides anything you 'll might need (wifi, maps, soaps, hairdryer...)!!! I recommed her.

Great place to stay. I was on business in Malahide and was only a 4 min train ride away so was ideal. Flat is close to train station which made it easy. The flat is great and Emma was very accommodating.

This apartment was everything we hoped for! Very homey and just close enough to Dublin. Emma was great with working with our schedule, as our flight got delayed and did not come in till late. We definitely recommend this apartment to anyone who is visiting Dublin, but does not want to stay right in Dublin.

The house is modern and clean, he is accommodating, super friendly, and he made our stay comfortable, yet lively. All of his recommendations for activities were spot on. Paul went out of his way to pick us up at Heuston station and this saved us a considerable taxi fare. In addition our conversation in the car was informative and interesting. Paul downloaded the train schedule for us which made it quite easy to commute to Dublin (25 min) as the station is right next door to his penthouse. Paul gave us free rein of the unit while he was gone and informed us to consume any wine or beer that he had. He also insured that we had a taxi to the airport which reduced our stress level quite a bit during the bus strike

My wife and I never personally met Paul before, during, or after our stay. However, we had great communication with him through it all via messaging/phone. He is easy to get a hold of with any issues or concerns you may face. He was very helpful with suggestions and how to find things. This is located within an easy few minutes walk to the train station to get to the center of Dublin. Very peaceful stay. Kitchen is especially great and modern. Highly recommend for your next stay in Dublin if you don't want to be too near the center but still close enough to attractions. Perfect space for single person or couple. The surrounding area is nice for a nightcap at one of the local pubs or for take out should you find yourself hungry. It is around a 30-35 minute train ride depending on what you want to see. We stayed with Paul on a Sunday night after a concert so that we could make an early morning flight. Paul was extremely accommodating of our situation. He left a key so we could get access in the afternoon to drop off our bags before heading to the concert. Paul's place was just what we needed. It's located in a lovely gated community and its located just 10 mins from the airport. The room was comfortable and had an ensuire. I would definitely stay here again if I had an early morning flight.

It was so nice experience .. Emma is friendly, hospitable, welcoming .. I would highly recommend staying with Emma. I felt welcomed, really enjoyed my time in Donabate .. The accommodation is much more beautiful than photos .. The area is so quiet and nice .. nevertheless, it's quite far from the city .. but it deserve to spend only 20 min to get the city by train, which is 5 min walking .. So, it's a great choice to spend holiday period; especially it's close from the fantastic and charming Donabate beach (30 min walking) ..

Emma's personality and place are truly wonderful. Her sofa bed is very comfortable and can easily fit two people. The room is full of cool decor that is relaxing. She has a beautiful balcony area as well. Emma is also very enjoyable to talk to and very offering and kind. It was lovely getting to know her!

Emma was most accomodating, I arrived late and she instantly made me feel at home. The sofa bed was larger than anticipated and cosy! Emma, kindly organised my taxi and we enjoyed breakfast together. I would whole-heartedly return. Thank you for your hospitality!

Yes it's close to the airport but if you have an early flight and you wanna take the bus you have two buses to take and you won't get there before 7- 7:30. So in the end you have to pay for a cab for early departure. Not so convenient if you leave early and are not familiar with the area. It's also a 30 min train to Dublin and during day time it runs every hour or so, I was quite disappointed with the location/transport time involved. Otherwise Emma's place is as shown on photo. Decent bed, nice view.

Nice and cozy place to stay that was very close to the airport. My girlfriend and I only stayed one night so that we didn't have to crash on a chair at the airport. Emma was more than helpful when it came to suggestions on food, and helped us figure out how to get a cab from the apartment back to the airport. The room is comfortable and quiet and very very clean, as is the bathroom.

We (two couples with two young boys) had a lovely long weekend in Barbara Anne's and Paul's house in Donabate. Their house is remarkably spacious, light-filled, comfortable and has all the modern conveniences. Our paths didn't cross, but we were in email/text contact with Barbara Anne and they left a personalised note for us upon arrival. We collected the keys from their very pleasant neighbours. Donabate is a small coastal village just north of Dublin, quite close to the airport. It's perfect for exploring the greater north Dublin area, particularly as the DART train to Dublin City centre is a 5-minute walk from the house. Portrane and Donabate beaches are nearby, as are the grounds and playground of Newbridge House. And the boys loved the fab ice cream shop just across the village green in front of the house...and all of toys and DVDs in the house. Any guests who liked a good walk could easily stay here and explore the area without a car. Thanks again!

Anne and Paul welcomed us very friendly, were very nice and helpful. The communication ran flawlessly and the house is very generous. It is ideally located within a short distance to the local supermarket, Railway - Station with easy access to Dublin and the Dublin region and in about 20 minutes on foot you reach the beautiful beach. An accommodation that is especially recommended for families with children oser more pairs very. The possible combination of city - and beach holiday makes the house very attractive.

Paul and Barbara-Anne were exceptional hosts. They communicated well, answered questions, and made us feel extremely welcome when we arrived. Their home was our family's first experience staying at an Airbnb property, and it could not have been more enjoyable. Paul and Barbara-Anne met us at the airport and drove us to the house in Donabate. We were showed around and left contact numbers. They even helped us coordinate some of our Ireland travel plans. The house itself was perfect for our family of four... spacious but cosy. Our daughter especially enjoyed her room, which had a large bed, walk-in closet and ensuite. We ended up really pleased with our decision to stay outside of Dublin. Travel to the city is easy, and Donabate itself is charming. If you have kids, definitely check out the Newbridge Demesne house and farm, which is walkable from the house.

Absolutely lovely home. We chose this home for its easy access to New Grange, to the train station to the city (Dublin) as well as convenient to Dublin airport. The decor surpassed the photos. This was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable stays I have had that beats an Hotel hands down. Eamon and Margaret greeted me at the door after giving me some directions and were aware that I had a small drive to get there so had a cup of coffee for me and a few biscuits to take the edge of the trip. From the moment I arrived I was aware how much they just talked so freely and open, and I felt at ease the whole weekend. It was home away from home, and it was so natural. We chatted so much I forgot about how hungry I was and so they pointed me in the right direction for food. I was staying for a training weekend and so when I had finished, I was aware that I was not sure if I was going to ready to have a bit of chat after being so busy all day, but as soon as I sat down, we ended up talking into the wee hours just about everything and anything, but the difference was there was no pressure, and I always felt as if I could retreat to my room when I was ready. The room itself was so comfortable and has plenty of storage if you need it. The house itself is a beautifully well kept chalet that is oozing with character and the love and joy both Eamon & Margaret bring. With out a doubt will be back when I am in the area again.

A little out for a weekend in Dublin (we had no car) but perfect for a week (which we did), for visiting the region (Malahide, Howth). The house is great! We had a very cute little room with our own patio for smoking or take our meals. Breakfast is basic but plentiful. The kitchen is open access, very clean. We were able to put our shopping in the refrigerator. The bathroom is very nice. The host couple is ADORABLE They are very welcoming, we see they used to open their homes to strangers. We feel with relatives of friends. They respected our tranquility but were delighted to chat too! They are very nice and have a lot of humor. They have a small bar them where it was very nice to share a few pints! A superior experience! The place is great if you need something quite and want to discover Ireland from the inside. Our hosts were really nice, respectful of our private life, and always keen on chatting and giving Good Advice. Quickly We felt like at home. It is true que la place is a bit remote, so you need to map your public transport ahead if you INTEND to visit the City, That Is Easily manageable goal. There is a cliff over the sea and a beach nearby, a must-go!

Nuria and Enrique were very nice! We only stayed two nights but it was a comfy bed to sleep in! Also, Nuria left a breakfast out for us to help ourselves in the morning. Thank you for an easy/welcoming stay!

This was a very lovely place: nice interior, we were very friendly welcomed from Nuria and Enrique. Donabate has a nice pub with conventional but good barfood. The beach at portrane is also very nice.

Nuria and Enrique have a beautiful home near the airport. Upon arrival, Nuria showed us around and made us feel welcome. Cozy room, breakfast, and wifi. Great place to stay on a tour around Ireland.

The hosts were charming, and very welcoming A couple from Spain, trying to forge careers in Ireland, they know what it means to be a stranger in a foreign country--and they try to make you feel so at home. I really appreciated their warmth since I had just arrived in Ireland and they were eager to talk and smooth my transition to Ireland. They were perfect and I heartily recommend staying at their place which is very close to the airport.

We were very well at home, all very clean and complete independence. The idea was to explore the coastal towns of Dublin and from there it was easy because taking the train in 5-10 minutes you you presented at all. Newbridge Park well worth seeing and the local people are very friendly

I stayed with my girlfriend at Nuria's comfortable home for one short night! While we arrived quite late to Nuria's home, she was extremely kind and helpful in making sure we arrived safely and with little stress. I can't express enough how nice they were with accommodating our late arrival - thanks a million! A very nice room in their lovely house, Nuria showed us the place and had towels, shampoo and even chocolates on our pillow! Such a nice couple, we'd highly suggest staying at Nuria's home if you are looking for great company a little outside of the city (approx. 15 minutes drive from the airport). Thanks again for everything!

Nuria and Enrique were wonderful hosts. The room was cosy as advertised, very clean and very pleasant. We were even provided with complimentary tea and cookies and were told to treat their house as our own. We had a very pleasant time.

Mary and John were wonderful hosts, made every part of our trip special from arrival to stocking our refrigerator with everything that we could possible need to get us going for our stay. The apartment is very clean, well equipped and in a nice marina condo setting. Short walk to the beach and all the town has to offer. Close to train station and bus stop to get into Dublin. Mary was very responsive keeping in touch with us daily. Lovely stay!

The location was the best! We could walk along the marina and to the village. The place was spotless and spacious. It was also well stocked with food which was a pleasant surprise. On this trip the weather was so spectacular we were able to sit outside on the lovely patio. We were so delighted and hope to come back. We highly recommend this place to everyone

We stayed at the apartment for ten days and it was exactly as described and perfect for our needs. Malahide is a beautiful part of Dublin and the apartment could not be in a better spot, right in the Marina, a stone's throw from everything the village has to offer and close to public transport, but secure and quiet. John and Mary were extremely welcoming and helpful and very communicative. We appreciated the goodies in the fridge! Thanks for a lovely stay - we would certainly stay here again.

Mary's house is simply perfect. Near the station to go to Dublin and at the center of Malahide, it's the perfect solution to stay and to enjoy Ireland. Mary and John are the perfect hosts. They have help us to visit the zone without problems. Also they have help us to hire the car in airport. Daily, they have contacted us to know if everything is ok. The house is perfect if you have a little baby. All Confort are available. Thanks to Mary and John for the beautiful holiday in Malahide.

Mary's apartment was all set up for our 15 month old, which made traveling internationally with her so much easier! The apartment was very hospitable, with a great location.

Mary and John really went out of their way to make our stay very comfortable and enjoyable. The appartment was spotlessly clean and they were very thoughtful leaving food and treats for us to enjoy. The location was excellent and perfect for parking up and enjoying all Malahide has to offer on foot.

We were given a lovely warm welcome on arrival. The apartment is great. So clean, really well equipped (especially for children) and the location is excellent. We could walk everywhere. We wouldn't hesitate to book again.

Mary's apartment is in a fantastic location, everywhere in Malahide is within walking distance and it makes a great base for visiting surrounding areas. Howth is lovely and we also travelled down to Wicklow from here. The apartment itself had everything we needed including cot, high chair, toys and some books for our toddler, who loved the open plan living dining area for wandering about. Lovely patio out the front too. Mary left us some milk etc so we didn't need to rush out for shopping for a while. The kitchen was great so meant we didn't need to eat out every night. We hope to come back very soon.

Great location, very clean & comfortable place to stay.

The appartement Matt and his family live in is beautiful and modern. Perfectly located in the centre of Malahide with a nice few of the marina. We enjoyed staying there.

Matt and Rachel were wonderful hosts, very helpful with finding our way around the area. They were super responsive with check in and helping us get from the airport to their house.

Matt, has a lovely apartment - 2mins walk to the centre of Malahide, a lovely town on the coast with very easy access to Dublin by train or bus. Room was modern, with a great view over the marina and a private bathroom. Check in and check out was easy and parking was available outside. Only a short stay but if I was visiting Dublin this is where I would recommend staying

Was a perfect airbnb experience. Communication was flawless and everything was perfect. View of the marina is wonderful to wake up to. Just wish we had more than one night to explore the village.

Firstly, Matt and Rachel are the perfect hosts. The apartment is really nicely kept and the view of the marina was spectacular from our room. The private bathroom was a plus and everything we needed was supplied. It is a few minutes walk to shops, restaurants, great walks, historical sites, tourist attractions and public transport. There is also plenty of parking. We would highly recommend this apartment and the great hosts.

Neat room just no good mattress.

Matt's place was exactly as described and perfectly peaceful. Matt was very helpful making sure we accessed the apartment easily. Would recommend or stay again with no hesitation.
