  • Lovely, clean and beautiful space, with lovely views and hosts were always there to help if you needed, whilst also giving us our time alone. The hot tub was a lovely touch and we were sad to be leaving. Lovely romantic getaway.

  • This place was outstanding, and amazing hospitality during our stay there!

  • We stayed at the cabin for two nights , it’s a lovely clean comfortable space. Unfortunately we didn’t get chance to use the hot tub due to the weather but think a privacy screen/fence would be useful had we used it though as the main houses window do look over the cabin. The village and area are lovely, welcoming and well worth exploring! We visited a number of local pubs for food and drinks and were pleasantly surprised by them all would definitely visit again!

  • A lovely, homely and takes you back to nature cabin! The little valentines touch were completely unexpected and delightful! The quality of the bedding, towels and amenities were as good if not better than any good hotel. Even though storm Dennis had different ideas to what we had for the weekend, a great stay!

  • A lovely remote location in a friendly village. The cabin is very clean and very stylish. A perfect couples retreat.

  • A perfect little cabin for a weekend’s stay, lovely little extras provided including some lovely bath robes, milk and coffee (and bubbly!) waiting for us upon arrival. We got good use out of the hot tub - and really enjoyed the peaceful setting in a beautiful part of Devon. Would recommend!

This beautiful yurt boasts stunning views over the rolling hills of the South Hams Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with Dartmoor National Park in the distance. This charming space, with double bed, wood burner, solar electricity and indoor kitchen has all you need for a basic yet cosy countryside break. Sleeps 2 comfortably (max 4). For Hot Tub information including price, please see "Other things to note" below. Seen our other listing? airbnb.co.uk/rooms/21144416?s=51
This space is "off-grid". It has a wood burner, solar electricity (240v) and it is beautiful, peaceful and cosy. Drinking water is pumped by hand from our borehole and rainwater harvested for washing up. Full containers are supplied. Bed linen, hand towels, basic kitchen facilities and washing bowl and jug are supplied. A basket load of fuel for the burner is included, further wood can be bought (£10 per wheelbarrow full). Outside there is a charcoal BBQ, a "bucket and winch" shower cubicle, and in the next field are compost toilets (these facilities are shared). A Wood Fired Hot Tub is available on request. (See "Other things to note" below). This is our off-grid lifestyle – simple, satisfying and easy on the earth…
Your accommodation is situated at Landmatters eco-community yet sufficiently removed from other dwellings to allow for peace and privacy. Please respect our neighbours space and their peace and quiet. When driving off site we ask that you turn left out of the gate so as to avoid driving through the hamlet of Allaleigh. If walking the land, make sure you know where the boundaries are and please leave no litter.
  • This place is heaven ! Such amazing views & oh my how cute the yurt is. Everything was clean & tidy, and you have everything you need for your stay. Honestly did not want to leave.

  • No words can quite describe the experience me and my partner had at Maren's place; it has definitely exceeded any expectations that we've had. Both Maren and Brain are welcoming, helpful and overall wonderful people!

    Lorreta2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • A superb stay...! It really was magical and the wood burning hot tub down by the river was amazing!! Great spot for being completely away from the mad daily rush!! Highly recommend!

    Nathan2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful and secluded. Cosy and welcoming. Stunning views over the hills. Perfect for back to basics holiday + the not so basic hot tub buried in the woods! Bring a torch!

    Lucy2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Marens Yurt is absolutely fantastic. The pictures are lovely but they really don't do it justice, it is so much cosier and beautiful in reality and it really felt like home while we were there. There is everything you need to cook a great meal and settle in for the evening by the wood burner with a glass of wine and fairy lights. We loved exploring the Land Matters site and meeting some of the lovely people who live there. Everyone was so warm and welcoming, in particular, Maren our host. We would definately recommend a stay at the yurt and hope to come back. Thank you Maren :)

    May2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • The is a beautiful hidden gem! Wish we had longer there! The fire was lit when we arrived! Was like a home away from home with amazing views! We will definitely be back soon

    Sarah2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • A magical place to stay surrounded by nature. Maren and Brains were both lovely hosts, offering us craft tools and touring us round the wonderful LandMatters site! The Yurt is gorgeous and has everything you need as long as you enjoy an outdoorsey holiday :D

    Isobel2020-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • It was a magical weekend, our hosts were wonderful, very thoughtful and considerate. They had thought of everything you would need when staying in a yurt. They even offered extra blankets and slower burning wood as they knew a heavy frost was on it’s way. We felt very privileged when we were given a tour of Landmatters site, which is such exciting Permaculture project. We loved the adventure of wandering through the woods down to the hot tub under the winter star lit sky then snuggling up in front of a toasty stove with hot chocolate afterwards was bliss. It was a joy to experience a couple of days away from the pace and demands of modern living and to bathe in the luxury of earthly living and be surrounded in the healing energy of nature.

The barn is nestled in a small hamlet with a handful of houses and makes the perfect base for a spot of isolation. You will be hard pushed to bump into anyone. Get away and soak up our wonderful view over Devon countryside and the fresh air! We take our guests’ health seriously, ensuring every surface is cleaned with disinfectant and we use high water temperatures for all our washing. We also provide cleaning products, soap and hand wash that you can use during your stay.
Our barn is stocked with essential food items as well as an ‘honesty’ mini bar. We also provide logs for the fire, plenty of magazines, books, games, WiFi and a TV. Most guests don’t even need to see or interact with us, the hosts, but only if they wish to, at a safe distance. Our closest village, Stoke Gabriel, is still open for business with a well-stocked village shop offering free food deliveries and The River Shack on the water front of the River Dart is open for al fresco dining and take-away wood-fired pizza. There are countless green lanes, fields, paths, hills, coastal walks and valleys to traipse over with little human contact. We can provide you with a list of all the spots where you can visit. Our place nestles in the small hamlet of Aish above the village of Stoke Gabriel near Totnes. Sit in front of the wood burning stove and peer out of the double height window to the fields and the river Dart beyond. Some mornings, you’ll see our resident male pheasant strutting his stuff on the garden wall. Occasionally, you may also spot a deer or two in the orchard or fields below. We are environmentally minded and do as much as we can to help lower our impact on the planet. Please see below, and our house manual, for a list of our eco credentials. We have used high quality fixtures and fittings throughout. The king sized bed is super comfy. The sofa bed is brand new and is a pull-out version rather than one of those uncomfortable fold out ones! The kitchen has been made bespoke by a local artisan and comes equipped with everything you might need including a full size oven, microwave and a small hob. As the space is small we can't include absolutely everything but please do ask us if you need anything at all! We also leave essentials such as tea, coffee, milk, olive oil, vinegar, salt and pepper ready in the kitchen making it that much easier to relax the minute you arrive. The garden is adjacent to our own but has its own little terrace with a small table and chairs - as well as a BBQ. We have kept the place as uncluttered as possible to allow guests to escape the everyday. However, if there is anything you feel you need please just ask and I'm sure we can provide it! Please note that it is best to have your own transport if staying with us as Aish has no amenities. The closest shop, pubs and restaurants are in the village of Stoke Gabriel which is a 5 minute drive or a 30 minute walk away. We are environmentally minded and do as much as we can to help lower our impact on the planet. Here are a few of the things we do: The barn is run entirely on electricity and therefore uses no fossil fuels. We have a 4kw solar panel system on our roof that helps generate electricity for the barn. For any further electricity we use Bulb Energy, which buys all of its electricity from renewable sources. We use biodegradable bin liners and recycled loo/ kitchen rolls. We use refillable options for cleaning products and washing powders that do not come in plastic. We use entirely organic ingredients in our scones and leave you organic, local milk. The teabags we choose (Clipper) have no plastic in them unlike most teabags. You will find reusable shopping bags for you to use in the kitchen. We provide a water filter so you don't need to buy bottled water. We recycle as much as possible.
A short drive away, nearby Stoke Gabriel is a lively village with a well-stocked village shop, two pubs, a BYO bistro, and a cafe on the waterfront by the Mill Pond. Totnes and all its restaurants, cafes, and shops is also close by car.
  • Absolutely wonderful no worries with any questions hosts are always happy to help.

  • HIGHLY recommended. We only wish we had more time there. Exceptional barn fitout that has been carefully and lovingly built. AWESOME views through a huge 2 story window across the valley farms. Fully equipped kitchen, clean modern bathroom and dining area. Loft bedroom with the same valley views and really comfy bed. Really nice to wake up to the sounds of cows and sheep. Great pub in town for a meal. Quite at night and dark to follow all the stars. Off street parking with beautiful English gardens. Thanks for having us.

Proudly built with luxury and quirkiness as the top agenda, Tilly's is the perfect place for relaxation and peace. Tilly’s is self contained and set in the courtyard of our farm, situated at the end of a long post and rail, private drive. We live in the farmhouse. Surrounded by our 50 acres and with a large garden for your sole use, (a short walk across the yard) you can be sure of no light pollution, many delightful places to walk and plenty of peace and tranquility. The front door leads into the open plan living room and kitchen. The well-appointed kitchen has an electric oven and Smeg hob (gas), microwave, fridge and freezer. A selection of herbs, stock cubes, seasoning, olive oil, tea, coffee, sugar and kitchen roll will be there to start you off. Also muesli, semi skimmed milk, butter and jam. From the kitchen the staircase leads up to the bedroom and luxury en-suite bathroom which boasts over 100 fibre optic twinkling stars over the roll topped slipper bath. The walk-in shower has oodles of hot water and plenty of space, with quality towels, shampoo, and shower gel. The King size bed is delightfully comfortable; perfect after a day exploring the South Hams. Tilly's has it's own large garden - approximately 10 meters from the front door. There is a covered hot tub (We reserve the right to withdraw / close this facility if there is a mechanical breakdown, severe weather / ice or other issue that makes it deemed unsafe to use) as well as seating and BBQ. Thermostatic central heating throughout. NOTE: Tilly's is extremely popular . . . if your dates are not available, why not check out our other beautiful property - Lofty's which is now available as a one bedroom option for couples (we close off the 2nd bedroom). The nightly price quoted is based on 2 people. It also has its own private hot tub and some fabulously quirky design!
Kingsbridge is just under 5 miles away and the nearest villages (2 miles) are Slapton, East Allington and Blackawton. – each has a traditional village pub. Within 20 minutes you could be at either Dartmouth, Salcombe or one of the many award winning sandy beaches the South Hams has to offer. Dartmoor is less then half an hour from Tilly's - well worth a day out.
  • We absolutely loved this trip, the cottage is beautiful & well stocked with everything you could need, the hot tub area is stunning and with the sheep & emus on the farm it felt truly special. The hosts were incredibly friendly & helpful with suggestions on the local area. Will definitely be back soon!

  • A beautiful place surrounded by countryside, we had the best weekend stay! Julie and Keith were fantastic hosts, everything was perfect!

    Tom2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • 5 star service isn’t a high enough rating! We travelled for hours to get here and it was worth every second! As a very stressed out working couple running a busy business and little time for ourselves this felt like a couple days in heaven. The place is amazing, Julie was just lovely and so helpful above and beyond our expectations. I cannot rate this place highly enough and would 100% recommend and return!

    Joseph2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at Julie's place. The hot tub is great with fantastic views, and sheltered enough so the weather wasn't a problem. The accommodation is perfect for a couple with ample space and amenities. Plenty to do in the local area, even in poor weather. Wish we could have stayed longer.

The Bolthole - Compact & cosy detached studio with garden. Located in the heart of Kingswear just 100 metres from the River Dart, the river can be seen from the garden terrace. No hills to climb, just 5 mins walk to the passenger & car ferries for the short trip over to Dartmouth & 2 mins walk to the village shop, a lovely cafe & the Steam Packet pub. Perfect for the coastal path. Street parking is free, 5 mins walk from the property & paid parking is in the marina opposite the property.
The Bolthole is a detached 1 bed studio property nestled in the valley in the heart of Kingswear just above the River Dart and Waterhead Creek. The 2 pubs, cafe and shop are all just a couple of minutes walk away. Newly developed using carefully selected reclaimed materials mixed with all the modern comforts to complement. Located on the slope above our main house there is a lovely little garden with its own deck where the River Dart, the hills in the distance and Waterhead Creek can be seen. You can retreat from the hustle and bustle of Dartmouth in the private garden and enjoy the evening sun. The idea and inspiration was to create a hidden space to escape to and the perfect base to explore South Devon & Cornwall. The property is a very cosy and compact studio. It's one room living with ensuite bathroom and has a coastal feel by way of white washed T&G timber and a hardwood waxed wooden floor reclaimed from marina boards having been weathered for 20 years. The King-size bed has a memory foam mattress and white Egyptian cotton bed linen, we also provide white bath and hand towels. We also provide tea, coffee, sugar, milk, salt, pepper, handwash, toilet roll and washing up liquid. There is an area to cook in a well equipped kitchenette and a vintage dining table & chairs. Natural light floods in and the garden has the afternoon and evening sun accessed via double doors that open to the oak steps up to the deck.
A lovely location and the river is 100m away and a short walk to the coastal path. A great local shop, lovely cafe, superb pub, passenger ferry, car ferries, castles, steam trains, steam river boats, walks, vineyards and much more. Not forgetting friendly people!

We asked to stay at very short notice due to our holiday abroad being cancelled and Matt was very accommodating about this. Check in was easy and was done remotely as Matt and his family were away at the time. Would not hesitate to return. Highly recommend.

Jules is great at communicating and very amenable to special requests, eg flexible check in and check out. We had 12 in our group for a school reunion and could not have asked for a more perfect home for our weekend away. We will definitely be returning!

  • Beautiful accommodation - the amenities were just perfect for all ages. We didn’t really need to leave the house. Fantastic host - would highly recommend if wanting to explore the English Riviera!

    Zoe2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Jules’s place was wonderful , clean , tidy and very spacious just what we needed for our family birthday get together . There were some really thoughtful special touches from Jules which were un-expected and very much appreciated . The rooms are very spacious and even though there was 12 of us we never felt we were ‘on top of each other’ . If you have small children there are lots of games and toys for them to play with and we also took full advantage of the table tennis and dart board to keep us entertained . Jules even allowed us to check out later which was fantastic . Thanks Jules , I will have no hesitation in recommending your place to friends and family and feel sure that we will be back again sometime .

It was a 15 min walk to BRNC which suited me perfectly. If you are in Dartmouth, staying at Annie’s place is an essential! I hope to be back very soon.

I've recently moved into a large property in the Heart of Paignton Old Town. It an Historic Period Property with an Old Anglo-Saxon Well situated on the ground floor in the Biker bar/lounge. The whole Building is in the process of being renovated and as a consequence I will be targeting travelers on a budget. I mentioned my Biker bar/lounge which has a Private bar and is in the process of being a assembled. Guests are welcome to enjoy a drink at the bar if they choose to do so.
I have 1 single room available at the moment but other rooms will become available as the Renovation progresses. I will have a Twin loft room available very soon.

Lily Cottage is a charming character cottage tucked away in quiet corner not far from Dartmouth town centre. This much-loved cottage is finished to an extremely high standard and benefits from a fair-sized garden complete with rattan garden furniture. Lily Cottage is located on the level, within easy walking distance from the town centre and the river. Ideally set up for a romantic stay for a couple or for small family holidays. A parking permit is supplied for the nearby car park, dogs welcome.
The property is accessed via a small step approaching the front door, there is a hallway with room for coats and boots with access to the shower room with electric shower, electric heated towel rail, toilet and wash basin. Through to the cosy living room with sofa and armchairs, freesat TV, soundbar, DVD player and Sonos speaker. Limed oak effect floor, wooden plantation shutters, electric woodburner effect fire and underfloor heating. At the rear of the property is the galley kitchen complete with electric double oven, small fridge with freezer, built in fan heater, painted dresser, butler sink and small dishwasher. Four deep steps lead up from the kitchen into a bright and airy dining room with vaulted ceiling. Again, with lime oak effect flooring with underfloor heating, dining table, seating for six, sideboard and a wood burner with cosy seating beside. From the kitchen there is a narrow staircase which takes you to the first floor where you will find the two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a double bed built in wardrobe, plantation shutters, limed effect floors and freestanding electric radiator. The second bedroom has a day bed that can be extended to make a double or twin. Again, with built in wardrobe, limed effect floors and freestanding electric radiator. Please be aware of the traditional nature of this old fisherman’s cottage. Steep staircase may cause access issues for certain guests and that being an old cottage the ceiling heights and door frames are low. Outside: Across the footpath from the front door there is a fair-sized enclosed garden. A private space which is a lovely suntrap on a summer’s afternoon. The rattan furniture is on a decked area, past the deck is a further slate shingle area with mature shrubs. It is possible to park close to the cottage to unload. Parking: The car park pass provided is valid for Mayors Avenue car park a 2-minute walk away. It is also valid across the South Hams for use in long stay council run car parks, so as well as Dartmouth you can park for free at Slapton, Totnes, Kingsbridge, Salcombe, Bigbury, Ivybridge and Modbury (details are on the pass). Please note that at significantly busy times of the year such as Regatta and the height of summer the pass does not guarantee a space, on the rare occasion the car park is full the permit is valid for the park and ride at the top of town. Availability: In the peak season, May, June, July and August we need to keep to Friday changeovers and a minimum stay of 7 nights. However, please do contact me with any requests you may have and we will accommodate if possible. Out of peak season we don't need to keep to a Friday changeover. Please get in touch if you need any advice or tips on places to visit, walks (we're right on the South West Coast path), pubs & restaurants etc. Google "Lily Cottage Dartmouth" to find out more and get in touch.
A short walk down the road will take you to the centre of Dartmouth where you will find a great selection of pubs restaurants and cafes including Mitch Tonks' Seahorse and Rockfish. Cafe Alfresco is locally renowned for breakfasts and the Anchorstone Cafe on Coronation Park is perfect for lunch in the sun. A longer walk will take you to the South West Coast Path which runs out the mouth of the river past Dartmouth Castle. Blackpool Sands is the closest beach, a 5-minute drive away in the village of Stoke Fleming.
  • We loved our stay at Lily Cottage. Communication was good and clear instructions were given for check in which was hassle free. The location of cottage was great, just a short walk to Dartmouth centre. The cottage was clean, cosy and decor was lovely. We would definitely recommend Lily Cottage to others. Thank you!

  • We’ve just had a wonderful few days in beautiful (& sunny) Devon. Lily Cottage was a great place to stay in Dartmouth. It’s so stylishly decorated & a fantastic location, just a few minutes walk from the centre!!! The car park permit was really helpful, we used it both in Dartmouth & a visit to Salcombe (stunning place). Christine got in touch as soon as I booked with really helpful instructions & advice about our trip. Thank you very much!

    Fiona2019-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful little cottage and so convenient for walking into town to the restaurants and shops. The parking permit entitles you to free parking at most town centre car parks a short walk from the cottage. The amenities in the cottage are perfect for a short break. It’s cosy and stylish with a garden that traps the morning sun for breakfast alfresco. Dog owners be aware the garden isn’t fully secure (there are two gaps in the fence a small or determined dog could get through) and it isn’t directly connected to the cottage. However it is in an incredibly quiet little cul de sac, away from traffic or passers by which meant this wasn’t too much of a problem for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to be back again sometime

    Katherine2019-04-22T00:00:00Z

  • Well if you read all the reviews this place is very good for 4 people there is more than enough room. All the facilities are brand new (I washed off the MandS labels from my dinner plate)need I say any more Unless you are very disabled the stairs are no problem at all apart from the fact that I banged my head on more than 1 occasion (please put some rubber on the cross beam )but I digress. This is a very nice place to stay. Position is A1 and could not be better parking is perfect apart from the market restrictions but these can be overcome quite easily If you want to go to Dmouth then this is the place you want to book

  • Absolutely lovely weekend in Dartmouth, perfect central location in such a lovely town. Everything you could need within walking distance. Dog friendly and a 5 minute walk to the park. A lot of dog friendly pubs, restaurants etc. We didn’t use the car once. Host provided helpful parking suggestions. Great heating system, big powerful shower, comfy beds, clean and tidy. Just don’t move the tv as the signal/cable is temperamental. Otherwise a very pleasant stay.

  • Briny Cottage is perfect for a Dartmouth holiday. Peter had really thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. A real home from home. Location perfect. Can’t wait to stay again. A gem of a place .

    Alexandra2019-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • Cottage is beautiful and you can’t beat the location. The cottage is listed and very quirky, but also has a modern kitchen and bathroom. Beautiful power shower. Stairs are a little steep as you head to the master bedroom but there is a handrail and very good lighting. Parking is a little difficult near the cottage but you will understand why when you see the location. We managed to find a space on higher ground less than a mile away and as you really don’t need a car whilst in the town this was no problem for us. Our host Peter answered any questions we had almost immediately and made us feel very welcome, can’t thank him enough.

There is a two bedroom apartment below (perfect location) which is owned by us and also available. This offers a great opportunity for joint holidays where a little separation is desired.
There's so much that is special about Dartmouth it is difficult to know where to start. You couldn't be closer to everything in Dartmouth. The Seahorse offers great fine dining, Rockfish offers superb seafood and there is a takeaway a minutes walk away. We are also fans of Kendricks restaurant and bar, Taylors and The Royal Castle. There are so many great pubs and bars; The 14th Century Cherubs Inn is a short stumble away but all the pubs and bars are close. Bellini's bar offers great cocktails. There is a Marks and Spencers Simply Food and an out of town Sainsbury but Dartmouth has plenty of great small shops, delis, butchers etc as well as a regular market with fishmonger. Takeaways include Fish 'n' chips, Indian & Chinese. The Flavel Arts centre offers films and theatre. There is a great walk from the apartment out to the castle Regular boat trips run from Dartmouth. The ferry runs to Kingswear where you can catch the steam train. Further afield there is the whole of the South Hams to explore. Nearest beach of note is probably the famous Blackpool Sands.
  • Fantastic place to stay, with central location and “Perfect View”. The apartment comes with all required amenities, and a very comfortable bed. Warm and cosy, and highly recommended. Hope to return in the future.

Great location for a winter break. Walked straight from the door to Dartmouth Castle and along the coast to Compass Cove. Had breakfast at Alfs which was a minutes walk away

Throughout the apartment you'll find a mix of nautical objects, quirky sculpture, vintage signs and original art of course, which we are both so passionate about. Our previous holiday properties were selected for Alistair Sawdays 'Special Escapes', featured in Coast magazine and rated as excellent on Trip advisor as a result of the many outstanding reviews and repeat visitors we received. With this wealth of experience we aim to maintain these high standards and hope guests will continue to enjoy their stay with us and have the most fabulous holiday!
The apartment is in Dartmouth, a captivating town in the South West of England. It’s incredibly picturesque with wonderful architecture, a historic quayside, and narrow streets full of independent shops, galleries, cafes, and restaurants.
  • A stylish, comfortable apartment and wonderful hosts. I had a lovely week in the apartment- lots of thoughtful details and everything you could need. The views of Dartmouth are stunning. I miss my morning coffee on the balcony!

  • We recently stayed in the wonderful apARTment for a long weekend break and it did not disappoint. From check in to check out everything was faultless. We were greeted by Theresa’s partner who gave us a warm welcome and a tour of the place with useful local tips. The apartment itself was stylish, cosy with the most fantastic view overlooking Dartmouth from the bedroom, a real treat to wake up to. The apartment is located in a quiet residential area only a short walk to the heart of Dartmouth, where there is a wide selection of lovely pubs, restaurants and shops to keep us busy. A short 20 minute drive away we found a beautiful beach called Blackpool sands that helped wipe away the winter cobwebs. We would definitely recommend a stay here and if we ever return to Dartmouth we will be sure to book here again.

    Sinead2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • You certainly will not be disappointed with this accommodation. Very stylish and comfortable. The hosts are very helpful and friendly. Added bonus is the private parking spot next to the accommodation which, in Dartmouth, is a necessity. Loved our stay and hope to return one day.

    Sara2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Our time in Dartmouth was just what we needed. The space that we had was lovely and cosy and clean, and it felt like home from home. We also were inspired by the artwork and creative use of space! The hospitality was great and we loved the little touches. We most definitely would come back and stay again if we are in and around the area. We will also be recommending this Airbnb to anyone else - great value for money and overall a very relaxing place to stay.

    Cris2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely place to stay, nicely decorated and very comfortable. It has fantastic views and is only a short walk into Dartmouth. Theresa and Simon are great hosts.

    Jackie2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • The apARTment is a fabulous place to stay in Dartmouth. Perfectly placed to walk into the town (about 5 -10 minutes down hill, but then you have to walk back up!) but it keeps you fit! A superbly furnished apartment with quirky furnishings and lovely arty touches. Theresa and Simon have obviously thought a lot about making this Airbnb a special place but very homely at the same time. Very clean, very comfortable beds and linen and a cosy place to stay in the colder months. The apARTment has everything you need and the Nespresso (Pixie) machine, with milk frother, was great to have there too, so remember your capsules, if you're into your coffees! The welcome note, scones, cream, jam and marmalade and bottle of wine was a lovely touch too. Theresa and Simon, who are a most lovely couple, came and said hello shortly after we arrived and showed us where everything was and how things worked and told us about places to visit in Dartmouth. We just wished we'd had more time to explore! We thoroughly recommend this Airbnb without a doubt and will definitely return at some stage in the future. Thankyou Theresa and Simon for a super stay.

    Mandy2020-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • The accommodation is exactly as described- stylish and clean, with amazing views and wonderful finishing touches. It was a truly welcoming and relaxing stay. My children really loved the feeling it gives of being on a boat as you enter over your own bridge, towards a porthole in the front door. The views from the apartment are breath taking and with just a five minute walk into town, it is perfectly situated. A big plus is having your own parking too! Amazingly hosted and just a perfect stay- thank you!

    Ruth2020-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • The apARTment is wonderful. By far the cleanest holiday accommodation I have ever stayed in. I am picky (but not obsessive) and it made such a great change not to have to do some cleaning when I got there! A clean dish cloth and scrubby are such a bonus. The fixtures and fittings are of a good quality and very stylish and the art work is fab. There were some lovely touches, fresh milk, butter, orange juice, nice marmalade, jam and a bottle of Prosecco in the fridge and mince pies on the table. The beds were very comfortable and the bed linen was of a high standard. The area is quiet, but close enough to the town to walk down if you are fit enough to climb the steep hill back up. The views are lovely. Simon and Theresa were attentive without being invasive and communication with them via email was easy and prompt. Overall we had a fabulous week and would highly recommend this apartment and Dartmouth.

A stylish & modern garden studio with some of Dartmouth's best views, The Lookout is just 2 minutes walk from the centre of town. With its own private sun terrace & panoramic harbour views, it's the perfect place to relax & watch the world float by.
The Lookout is a stylish and modern garden studio with some of Dartmouth's best views. Facilities include: Contemporary bedroom + spacious en-suite shower; king-sized bed, bed linen, towels & soap/shampoo provided; flat screen TV/radio; under floor heating; a free parking permit for the main town centre car park. I do not provide breakfast but there are tea and coffee making facilities in the room and a small fridge for milk and cold drinks (it is just big enough for a bottle of wine!). Sorry no cooking allowed.
Dartmouth's unique location at the point where the beautiful River Dart reaches the sea, has gained it a reputation as a water lover's paradise.Exploring the river by boat (and there are plenty of local companies who offer boat trips, or you could even hire out your own boat by the hour or day) is one of the most beautiful and memorable ways to take in the beautiful scenery for which Dartmouth has become famous. Dartmouth has a wonderful selection of local independent businesses, many based in beautiful locations steeped in history. And if you like shopping, the quaint, narrow streets of Dartmouth are brimming with unique boutiques, shops and galleries. Feeling hungry? There is an amazing choice of fine dining, contemporary bistros, traditional pubs and cosy cafes.
  • Wonderful space, friendly and informative hostess. Fab location a stones throw from all the brilliant bars and restaurants in Dartmouth. We couldn’t have picked a better location, we didn’t want to leave the room though as the view was just so spectacular

  • This is such a great little bolt hole in a superb spot in Dartmouth. Literally seconds walk from great places to eat and drink and a view you won’t get bored of. Suzanne is a great host, check in is super simple and the parking permit and other touches make this a really easy option for central Dartmouth.

My cottage is within walking distance to Dartmouth's excellent shops, restaurants and pubs. Beautiful views of the Dart and Naval college from courtyard garden or balcony. Close to several beaches, beautiful walking and sailing. Perfect for relaxing or active breaks. Dog friendly (extra charge). Recently renovated to an excellent standard with a fully equipped kitchen, open plan dining room and large, separate lounge. Stocked for a comfortable stay - with latest tech including Netflix.
Full renovations recently completed; the property has great light and fantastic views of the river and the Naval college. It's on a steep hill, but that's part of the charm.
The cottage is on a quiet road on a hill. It's within walking distance of Dartmouth's many excellent shops, restaurants, and pubs. As well as offering coastal walks, it's also close to several beaches, and the sea here is perfect for sailing. Some might say the hill is steep, but with hills come views. Which are second to none!
  • Beautiful cottage, in great location. Really stylish and cosy and warm. Really well laid out for two singles who like their own space or for a family. We loved Dartmouth too, friendly people, good walks, great pubs and shops for mooching around, not too posh! Communication was prompt and informative. Needs some attention to cleaning which I am sure will be rectified for the next visitors. Will come again.

  • Lovely house

    Kirsten2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • I used this air Bnb for myself and three others. It’s a lovely home with a ground floor kitchen dinner with everything you’d need. Tv downstairs and a nice little seating area. A lovely patio (were it not winter and raining) and a great view over the river and across to the naval college. There’s a small twin room on the ground floor with comfy beds. Upstairs is a double bedroom and a spacious lounge with another TV. One bathroom upstairs and one downstairs. it would accommodate two extra people if they were OK staying in the lounge. With 4 it was spacious, 6 would still be comfortable. I didn’t have any problem parking on street (free) and always managed to get a spot within 200m. It is on a very steep hill but it wasn’t a problem and rewarded with good views. Maybe avoid if you can’t do a hill start though. That’s Dartmouth for you. Everything was in good condition, clean, and felt homely. I Would stay here again for sure.

    Tom2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • Stunning place. Amazing views and although you need to get lucky with a parking spot (and you need a good handbrake!), it is quiet, but also so close to the centre and all its pubs, cafes, shops and restaurants etc., but also so easy to get quickly in out and out of Dartmouth via the road up to the secondary school. All utensils that you would need are provided for, comfortable double bed, beautiful open plan kitchen/diner. Communication was perfect with the host, especially considering that mine was not as my phone broke! Thankyou for a wonderful stay.

    Richard2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Helen’s place was absolutely fantastic. So pretty and tastefully done with great views over the town and estuary. Brilliant location on a very cute street a few minutes walk to town with all the lovely shops, restaurants and pubs. I would absolutely recommend this place and would defiantly visit again. Perfect .

    Kim2019-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely accommodation with beautiful views. Big enough for 6 people and comes with everything you need. Helen responded to queries quickly and was helpful. Only downside is that parking is difficult. Thank you for having us.

    Courtney2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Spotless. Stylish. Amazing views from the balconies. Everything you need for your stay is in the house plus toys and crabbing utensils which came in super handy for the daytime entertainment. It is quiet a steep hill from the town Center to the house but even with a 4 year old and a pram manageable however I would recommend a sling as it makes it a little easier. Bedrooms are over two levels with the master bedroom being on the upper floor and the second bedroom with two single beds being on the ground floor. Rooms are very spacious and house is beautifully decorated to a very high standard. We will definitely book it again in the future.

In addition to the wall of full width, floor to ceiling folding doors that open onto the main terrace, thoughtfully positioned Velux windows (electrically operated) ensure the entire first floor is bathed in light and air. This stunning property is arranged over 2 floors, the 1st floor open plan living space is finished with under floor heated hard wood and ceramics. It has a superb fitted kitchen with every possible built in appliance, an expanding glass dining table with seating for 6, a corner area with sofas (one is a sofa-bed), coffee table and large smart TV. Full width folding doors lead to a large terrace with outside furniture from which you can enjoy breathtaking views over Torbay. There is a key safe for 24 hour access. * Wheelchair accessibility - the ground floor of High Seas will eventually be fully wheelchair accessible. However, at the moment the planned exterior chair lift from the road to the front door has not yet been installed, so the wheelchair and the disabled person will need to be carried down the 10 steps to the entrance door. The ground floor has wide open spaces and a fully accessible wetroom with w/c and shower with bench. One of the sofas in the lounge converts to a luxury sofa bed.
High Seas is situated in an elevated position at the top of North View Road. It's a 5 minute downhill walk to the harbour area with its great choice of cafes, restaurants, bars and shops. The property also comes with a dedicated parking space on the harbourside below.
  • This is a superb stylish place that is just as stunning as it looks in the pictures. The view is amazing, the facilities including the kitchen, the beds and the bathrooms are top notch and I would definitely stay there again if I revisit Brixham. The only drawback of having that view is that whenever you go out there is always a steep and long climb back up. There are also quite a few steps down to the front door so not a place for anyone who is unsteady on their feet. All in all a brilliant holiday home though.

    Andy2020-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • You will not be disappointed, the space is amazing along with the view which I already miss. The underfloor heating made the place cozy and warm, loved it and would recommend to anyone.

  • Great place with really amazing views. Our family of 4 had a very enjoyable stay in early January, the apartment was super clean and very comfortable. Great location with a short walk to the town centre and harbour. We had some great walks and were lucky enough to see seals in the harbour and dolphins from Berry Head.

Very picturesque area of south Devon, overlooking the river Dart. Fantastic sitting out on the terrace in warmer weather sipping on a glass of wine - ah the life! Kingswear has it all and an amazing pub which makes the best pizza in Devon. Not for the faint hearted however, it's rather hilly, but great exercise! Short walk to bus into Paignton and Brixham and beyond. Overlooking Dartmouth which is full of quirky little shops and cafes, and hosts an annual regatta in August.
My spare room is just off the kitchen at the opposite end of the flat from the rest of the rooms so quite private. Direct access onto the terrace. The bed is a very comfortable day bed (ask my cats!) and I use the room as a home office (when not hosting). This is a vegan household so please respect that. I dont mind dairy products being brought in, stored in the fridge, etc but cooking meat is an absolute no no! I have two cats who rule the house so if you're not a cat lover this is probably not the place for you. Used to having couchsurfers so thought I'd give this a go. Please don't expect a palace - the room is priced cheaply as I'd rather no one expected hotel standards! Oh and bathroom is shared hence why I'd prefer single travellers only.
Check out the Steampacket, Coleton Fishacre, and Greenway. Then there's always Dartmouth and Kingswear castles, take a boat trip up to Totnes, down the coast to Blackpool beach or round to Torquay. So many options. Just ask if there's anything you want to know about the area.

*** Recent cancelations*** to put your mind at rest if you have seen we have made cancelations in the last couple of months. There has been a change in management and some bookings could not be honoured. Some of the cancelled bookings you can see have also been given alternate accommodation at a discounted price. We are back on track now and can assure you we will do everything to not cancel any further bookings, thank you.
A parking space right at the doorstep of this property is normally what attracts guests, but the fact it is clean and well equipped helps too. This property is tucked away in a quieter part of town but still a stones throw away from the centre so you can have the best of both worlds.

  • We had a great experience with our stay at the mews, even though there was a problem with the boiler on our first day, the hosts were so quick with contacting us and sending a plumber out to fix the problem. Unfortunately, the boiler could not be fixed until the last day of our stay and the hosts immediately upgraded us to one of their other properties, local to the mews, both properties were lovely and sparkling clean. They both had parking which we found very useful! If we were to come back to Dartmouth, we would most definitely stay with these host again. Amazing. Thank you!

Look out onto a half-timbered house dating from around 1380, the town's oldest. This charming flat also boasts its own historic features, such as weathered wooden floors and an antique fireplace, while modern additions include a huge rain shower. Located on a quiet street in the centre of Dartmouth, with the benefit of a parking permit, this flat is on level ground and offers a fantastic base for couples or families visiting the area.
The apartment is newly renovated (Winter 2017/18) and offers chic "boutique hotel" style accommodation with modern amenities and a comfortable ambience. It has flexible sleeping arrangements in 2 bedrooms, so ideal for couples, families or groups of friends. Both rooms can be set up as either king sized beds or twins. The dining room / lounge has sofas, TV, dining table and chairs. The modern fitted kitchen has an oven, microwave, fridge and dish washer. A modern bathroom with luxurious rainfall shower and a 'his & hers' basin Furry Friends: We are happy for you to share your holiday home with your four-legged friend (up to 2 dogs). We ask you to inform us if your furry friends will be joining you so that we ensure they receive their welcome pack. We understand that some dogs are used to being on sofa's and beds and ask that you use the blankets provided to protect all the furniture. There is a tap and hose to wash down muddy paws at the entrance to the apartment. Dartmouth is an extremely dog friendly town and dogs are permitted in most shops. There are some lovely walks along the coast and inland. Whilst there is no parking at the property, there is unrestricted on street parking outside and we also offer a parking permit for the local carpark.
The property is located in a quiet area, a short walk from the centre of town. Restaurants, cafes, and nightlife are all close by. In addition, the river is minutes away and offers a range of water sports including sailing, boating, rowing and canoeing. There are boat trips around the area and small beaches within walking distance and many beautiful beaches easily reachable by car. Dartmouth is dog-friendly with shops often opening their doggy biscuit barrels for visiting furry friends.
  • Beautifully appointed apartment in a perfect location in Dartmouth. Highly recommended.

  • Alison’s home is spotless and looks to have been completely remodeled very recently. The kitchen has everything we needed for a short stay and Alison provided milk and coffee pods for the espresso machine. The large bathroom with spectacular shower was a particular highlight. Alison even went to the trouble of leaving us a tray of homemade mince pies to welcome us! The location is perfect, right in the Centre of town within easy walking distance of shops and amenities. We would definitely stay here again.

The Bridge is a stunning contemporary house with private parking for 2 cars situated on the River Dart. There are fabulous panoramic views from the open plan modern living area with log burner and the outside terrace is great for al fresco dining with a view. The kitchen is superbly equipped with new Bosch cooking appliances, dishwasher and washer/dryer. The two king sized double bedrooms are complimented with two bathrooms both with shower facilities and one with a bath as well.
Probably the best place for that vacation you've always promised yourself!! Dartmouth is in an area of outstanding natural beauty and one of the top, high quality, resort areas in the UK.
Here you’ll find unspoilt countryside and a spectacular coastline with the coastal path nearby. Kingswear has a food store, post office, coffee shops and pubs - try the Steam Packet Pub with perfect home made pizza's a stone's throw away. Dartmouth is easily accessed by ferry with excellent shops, restaurants and supermarkets - have a perfect brunch there at 'Al Fresco's or the Anchorstone Café! A scenic steam railway runs from the station nearby and there are a number of lovely beaches very close. There are excellent sailing facilities, with Dartmouth Royal Regatta being a highlight. The local Food and Music Festivals are a must to visit.
  • We really enjoyed our stay, its a really nice location and a lovely home. The house was clean and tidy, well furnished and has a beautiful panorama over the river Dart.

    David2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Another great stay at this fantastic place. Such a clean and impressive property, ideal location for access to coastal walks and Dartmouth Town.

  • The Bridge is an outstanding property, and Denise is a superb host. The house itself is utterly fabulous: super clean, wonderfully appointed, and incredibly stylish. Both bedrooms are spacious and comfortable with superb bathrooms, but the crowning glory is the wonderful, open plan living area - with an incredible window the length of the house, gazing out across the river to Dartmouth! Amazing! The location is perfect: a short walk from the local shop, 2 great pubs, and both the foot and car ferries across to Dartmouth. Denise was brilliant from start to finish. Communication was excellent: really quick, very straightforward, exceptionally friendly, and always helpful and accommodating. Check in and check out was really easy. Denise helped make our visit to the area really special. Thank you Denise.

    Gareth2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommended, beautiful views, stylish, clean, comfy beds and an easy walk to Dartmouth centre. We have been Dartmouth a number of times and think you'll struggle to find anywhere better! Many thanks.

    Mjsher932019-11-22T00:00:00Z
  • Once you step through the door, you will not want to leave - the view of Dartmouth with its blend of pastel cottages, newer Grand Designs, the spectacular Naval College gilded by the sun and and the verdant green and autumnal shades of the Dart Valley will just mesmerise, just by sitting and watching the everchanging light from the sofa or the table from sunrise to sunset. The home itself is spotless, comfortable and beautifully laid out. The river, the boats and the vista are just so restful even when the sun disappears and is replaced by the twinkling streetlights of Dartmouth as well as the stars. It was the wrong time of year to enjoy the sun terrace which is perfectly placed for a lazy afternoon in warmer times however the woodburner warmed the house as the full length windows brought the outside in so the view was enjoyed in cozy warmth. The house has access to both floors from outside which made our stay with an elderly relative very easy. A spectacular first class retreat.

Rose Cottage, affords truly spectacular panoramic views over the River Dart, Dartmouth, Dart estuary, the Britannia Royal Naval College and upstream towards Dittisham. The stone cottage was built in 1880. Our changeover day is Saturday ONLY for 1 week stays, we do not offer short breaks during school holidays. WE DO NOT SUPPLY BED LINEN OR TOWELS, EXCEPT TO INTERNATIONAL GUESTS FOR £60PW. Rose Cottage is accessed via 53 steps down to it. Peace and quiet - no road noise what so ever!
We are situated on the sunny side of Dartmouth, the other side of the river is in shade for most of the day. During the Summer the sun is on our garden from late Breakfast to Sunset! Our side of the river has a micro climate with sub tropical plants growing all year round.
Dartmouth Dartmouth is situated at the wide mouth of the River Dart the town rises up the hills. The large modern marina has meant up-market shops being introduced, but the town`s history is never far away. It has a very large range of restaurants, public houses and small specialist shops as well as the major chains. The range of restaurants is considerable so their is no need to ever cook in your vacation rental home. Market on Tuesdays and Fridays. The river front gives good views and you can book river trips to Totnes, Dittisham, etc. The castle at the entrance to the river is a popular walk, about one mile. The Mayflower left here for America in 1620, an event recorded on a stone. The town has a proud naval history, and is the home of the Britannia Royal Navy College, Devon which can be seen from your holiday cottage. Well known for its impressive firework display at the end of Regatta Week, the last week in August. This is the busiest week of the year so it is essential that you book your holiday accommodation early. Dartmouth, Devon is a great location for a family holiday as their are attractions to meet every need, you can enjoy a weekend break or stay a week or more in the west country. A national newspaper stated that there were only two places to be at New Year, either Times Square, New York or Dartmouth. This is because everyone dresses up in fancy dress at New Year and people come from all over the country to have a good time without any trouble! The Flavel Art Centre has a great programme of films, theatre, exhibitions, etc - it is essential that you look at the programme. The Flavel Art Centre is situated next to the Mayors Car Park and offers a Bistro and library facility. http://theflavel.org.uk/TheFlavel.dll/Home Crab fishing - if you have young children you must buy a "hand line" and fish for crabs anywhere along the river bank. It is the cheapest pastime known to man and your children will remember it for the rest of their lives. It is not cruel as the crab is not hooked, please return all crabs into the river! Food A wide range of restaurants can be found in Dartmouth that include Michelin stared fish, Polish, Chinese, Indian, Local Produce only, pub grub, fish & chip, English, you will be spoilt for choice and value. Pubs The Castle Hotel, the Market House The Cherub - great range of cask ales, bar snacks and restaurant Royal Castle Dartmouth Arms - great food and drink, opposite The Float No need to worry about drink and driving as you can walk to your self catering holiday cottage from here, but try using the ferry rather than swimming Cafes and coffee shops loads Cafe Al Fresco`s is brilliant, great coffee, great food and great ambience, try one of their breakfasts. Tazza Cafe Italian style coffee bar with expresso etc and light snacks, Licensed. Dartmouth Thursday Walks Enjoy an organised walk, a different route each Thursday, all the walks are graded and timed, full details at - http://www.walkingforhealth.org.uk/sites/default/files/Dartmouth%20programme%20Sept-Dec%202013.pdf

  • This perfectly formed home in Kingswear was perfect for a three night. We stayed here during Storm Ciara and were warm and cosy despite the wind howling around, was great to watch the activity on the river.. We did however enjoy a cup of tea on the terrace one evening enjoying the view. Extremely well equipped kitchen, everything we needed for our stay.

    Liz2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Fabulous cottage with the most amazing views of the Dart and over to Dartmouth. Beautifully renovated, the best equipped kitchen we've ever experienced (and we've stayed at a lot of Airbnbs), comfortable, cosy, and oh, did I mention the views? Easy parking on the road, a 10-min walk down steep hills to Kingswear, a couple of nice pubs and a shop, and 5 mins on one of three ferries to Dartmouth. As Max points out in the info he provides (which is copious), there are 53 steps down to it, and the cottage is at the top of a steep hill. We really couldn't fault the place. Highly recommended.

    Pam2020-01-11T00:00:00Z

  • Absolutely tremendous place to stay. Only spent 3 days here celebrating my wife’s birthday, wish it could have been more. Well equipped, great location, spotlessly clean and a view to die for. Plenty of warning about the steps down to the cottage so we were well prepared for that. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

    Gary2019-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • Simply magnificent view. Crossing the ferry to go to the local pubs in Dartmouth was great fun. People are supper friendly and the oven, microwave and all appliances worked like a dream. Then comfy sofas to cosy up and binge watch Netflix when it's raining. Loved it. Thank you Max.

Little Greenway is a lovely, cosy holiday home nestled near the River Dart in a small park of privately-owned bungalows just outside the village of Galmpton, Torbay, Devon.
Little Greenway is a well equipped holiday bungalow offering a peaceful and tranquil break away. The accommodation comprises 2 bedrooms, one twin (2'6" beds) one double. Both rooms have fitted wardrobes. The open plan lounge offers the perfect place to unwind with TV and DVD player. The bungalow has the added benefit of WiFi. Outside is a small patio area offering views of the River Dart. Little Greenway welcomes 1 well behaved dog. There are lovely walks from the site. • We had a lovely stay here. It was perfectly clean, it was really easy to get in and sort ourselves out, the information given is accurate. It was very relaxing extremely quiet. Just outside the bungalow is a great view of the river. Short and beautiful drive to the historic town of Dartmouth. It was well placed to easily access all the local towns.

  • Accommodation has everything you will need for a self catering stay. Kitchen is very well equipped. Walks from the door so no need to drive if you don’t want to. Would recommend Greenway House (didn’t go inside) & gardens, absolutely stunning. Great communication from the host. Would love to come back to explore a bit more of the area :-)

    Tracey2019-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • Access to the property was easy, my husband who is disabled had good access from the parking bay to the property. All rooms were clean and well maintained. The shower was perfect hot and strong. There were plenty of pans, utensils, crockery and cutlery. There were plenty of booklets with details of places to visit. If we didn't want to go out for the day to local towns or beaches there were plenty of walks. There was so much to do we didn't have time to see everything. The heating was spot on, if we went out we were able to put it on as soon as we came in and the bungalow heated quite quickly. Loved being there.

2 Dartview provides excellent ground floor accommodation for one couple or solo travellers looking to explore Dartmouth and South Devon. Enjoying river views across the harbour and over to Kingswear the apartment is conveniently situated on Newcomen Road, a couple of minutes’ walk from the river and the town centre. Whilst there is no parking on site there is space to stop outside to unload and a parking pass is provided for the Mayors Avenue Car Park a 2-minute walk away.
A few steps up to the front door of the building leads to a communal hallway. The front door of the apartment opens into the open plan living room, with compact kitchen area featuring oven, microwave, ceramic hob and fridge with ice box. The sitting area has two sofas, TV with DVD player, dining table and chairs set into the window, with lovely view out over the river. There is one bedroom at the rear of the property with a double bed and storage. The bathroom has a bath with overhead shower, toilet and wash basin, washing machine/tumble dryer. Travel cot and highchair available by request. Nearby: A flight of steps opposite the property will take you down to the river at Bayards Cove, this historic cobbled quayside was where The Mayflower stopped before departing for it's journey to the Americas. At the end of Bayards Cove is the historic ruins of one of Dartmouth's sea defences and at the other end you will find The Dartmouth Arms perfect for enjoying a drink on the waters edge. On the south embankment you will find a number of pubs and restaurants including The Seahorse and the Rockfish owned by celebrity chef Mitch Tonks as well as the Bayards Inn and Bellini's Bar.
Dartmouth is a picture postcard riverside town with a depth of places to eat and drink. Steeped in maritime history you will notice the Royal Naval College that overlooks the town as well as the Castle at the mouth of the river. Bayards cove is where the Mayflower set sail for America. The Food Festival in October is one of the countries top 10 and the music festival in early May is a weekend definitely worth visiting. Located on the South West Foot Path there are a number of great walks nearby as well as some fantastic beaches.
  • Clean comfortable and great views of the river Dart.

    Deborah2019-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great location almost in the centre of town, 1 minute from the car park (for which we had a pass), but nonetheless nice and quiet. The river front is 2-3 minutes away, and a well-stocked M+S Food store is just round the corner. Unloading was a bit interesting (parking blocks the entire street!) but hey! You only do that once and it's a generally pretty quiet street. The apartment is nicely decorated and comfortable (good beds), with bits of quirky humour all around the place; the kitchen is well equipped in comparison with most lets, and the shower is decent. We were welcomed with a naughty-but-nice cake and a bottle of Prosecco - a lovely welcoming touch - as well as some milk in the fridge. It's been one of the nicer lettings we've experienced, and would recommend it.

  • We loved staying in this apartment . It was everything we had hoped for and more . Really nicely furnished with great attention to detail especially the lighting . Warm and cosy . Comfy bedding . Great view of course! And when we had a query about the heating Christine was immediately on hand to help us out . A great host! Thank you so much

  • A lovely space in a good spot. Great for taking a walk out to the castle and along the coast as well as popping in to town. Alf resco is a lovely spot for breckie but gets busy, only 2 minutes away!

  • We had a lovely stay at Christine's place. The location was perfect, in the centre of Dartmouth and the apartment was very homely. Would absolutely recommend.

  • Great value for money . All you would need for a break . Anymore than 2 adults may struggle with space if there longer than a long weekend as not loads of storage . Perfect for us though and the view made it . 2 min walk to town if that . Very clean . Would use again .

  • Beautiful home in the heart of Dartmouth. Brilliant location & perfect apartment with everything you could possibly need. David was responsive & helpful and we were sad to leave! Hope to be back soon - would highly recommend & certainly hope to stay here again! Thanks very much.

  • The apartment is ideally situated in the beautiful little town itself. With lots to see and do all within walking distance. We found the apartment clean, warm and cosy and very well equipped. I would not hesitate to stay again.

  • We had a great weekend here. The apartment was spotlessly clean and very comfortable with everything we could have needed. It's been set up in a thoughtful and stylish way, with loads of extra touches that made our stay a good one - crisp sheets, comfy towels, modern appliances, brilliant shower, efficient heating, speedy wifi, access to Netflix, IPlayer etc on a superb TV, and even milk, cereal, tea and biscuits left for us. We felt very extremely comfortable and well looked after. Furthermore, David was very flexible, helpful and with quick communication throughout. The apartment is right in the centre of Dartmouth, with plenty of places to eat and drink all around. We particularly loved the atmosphere, the quality food and the convenience of the cafe (Alf's) next door for breakfast. Trips on the ferry, walks to little coves, enjoying the views, and some great meals out. A great location for a weekend away. Despite it being a wet, cold weekend in January, we had a really good weekend, and the warmth and the comfort of the apartment had a lot to do with that. Many thanks, David.

Detached one bedroom (single) holiday let. A converted garage set within the garden area of our property. The garage is made up of two rooms, a bedroom and a modern shower room. The property is double glazed with sliding patio doors, heating, television and free wi-fi. You have views and use of the pleasant mediterranean style garden and there is also a washing machine and tumble dryer for you to use. Ideal for single person visiting the area for either work or pleasure.
We live in the main bungalow in front of the let and are always on hand to help if required. When we are home we are happy to interact with our guests (if they wish) to keep them company and help them to get the most of their visit to Torbay and our Garden Room guests are usually welcome to socialise with us in the house or garden whenever we are free. Please note that the holiday let has no kitchen so it is not possible to cook meals within the let itself but there is a kettle, toaster and a selection of teas available in the room. This cosy property would ideally suit a single person who is either travelling, on holiday or for work purposes in the area.
Our location is just a five minutes drive from Paignton sea front and town, 15 minutes from Torquay and Brixham, 40 minutes from Exeter and about 50 minutes from Plymouth. There are supermarkets and fast food resturants within easy walking distance of the property.

  • It really is impossible for me to fault anything at this lovely place. Friendly owners, completely fuss-free check-in and out and lovely touches like a large bottle of water. It was a warm day but despite this and the several thunderstorms overnight, I slept really well in the room which stayed pleasantly cool. Comfortable good quality bed was most appreciated and the bathroom is modern, clean and the shower nice and powerful!
