  • It was a pleasant getaway from the city lifestyle to the country. I had to stay overnight due to an event I had to attend to and the host made this place so hospitable and welcoming. Lovely place.

  • Hygge at Springfield House is a wonderful break away from hustle and bustle. We absolutely loved our stay and will be sure to recommend it to fellow travellers. It had everything we needed and was a perfect home away from home!

  • We had a very pleasant overnight stay at Hygge before a visit to Longleat the next day (which was superb). Hygge was very comfortable, very clean and perfectly equipped with everything we needed. It is decorated to a very high standard. Many thanks!

  • We stayed here for 2 nights with our 16month old. It was a perfect location for a day out in Longleat which is 5 minutes away. There was a travel cot and baby gates available which was fab for us. Hygge was immaculately clean and is furnished beautifully inside. Loved the little christmas tree and milk and bread were v handy. Thank you for a wonderful stay! X

  • We stayed here for the night with our toddler after visiting Longleat. It was in an ideal location and Clare was a great host. The thoughtful touches like bread, milk, tea and butter were perfect. Would stay again and recommend. Thank you!

A quiet friendly and safe neighbourhood
  • A wonderful place with lovely hosts. We had the whole of the upstairs which was very clean and inviting. If you are planning on going to long leat I would highly recommend as it’s a lovely place and very reasonably priced.

  • It was last minute decision when we booked to stay at Pauline’s and probably the best decision ever. Pauline’s house was impeccable, and she is a very welcoming person. She even rented us for the night, the whole first floor of the house, with private bathroom and even breakfast for next morning. The place was super cozy and wish to come back again on future trips. Thank you so much dear Pauline and well done for everything.

    Cristian2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent accommodation- very clean and comfortable with extra touches to make it special.

    Wendy2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful breakfast! Bread, biscuit, milk, coffee, yogurt, jam, butter...everything you need for a energetic morning! Although this place is stated private room, actually it is the entire upstairs level with private bathroom. The place is sparkling clean and Pauline welcome us to use the shower downstairs because the bathroom upstairs is bath tube, which is very catering. The front yard is spacious and can easily accommodate our car. We would definitely recommend it!

    Darren2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, quiet but close to amenities. Really good location for longleat. Clean, with the extras such as breakfast and tea/coffee facilities being really welcome. Pauline accommodated us arriving earlier than expected and was very nice to us. Would recommend

    Emily2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Pauline was a great host and we had a nice time staying at her place. We would definitely come back if we need a place to stay in Warminster

    Ioanna2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Pauline's place is immaculate and it is lovely to have use of your own private bathroom and additional room. Although the rooms are within Pauline's home it is on a separate floor and space from the rest of the house so it feels really private. Pauline was super speedy with replies and was flexible when we asked if we could change our arrival times. The bed itself was super comfy I'd love to know where you get your duvet from! The room is great value for money and I will definitely be getting in touch with Pauline if we return to Warminster.

    Nichola2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at Paulines & were very impressed with the accommodation & space. The location was perfect for us with a visit to Bath & Longleat, would highly recommend.

Quiet, tranquil and rustic, 3 Holt Cottages is a semi-detached Victorian farm-worker’s dwelling built in local brick and flint.
Your accomodation has a private entrance, off-road parking, large double bedroom, sitting room with woodburning stove, compact kitchen and bathroom. Breakfast cereal, fresh bread, butter, milk and homemade jam are supplied along with tea and coffee. Our house is old and rustic, we don't provide a 'boutique' hotel experience. Even though our walls are rough and notchy and there are areas where our paintwork is not perfect we hope you find it to be a cosy, welcoming and homely place. Please don't book to stay here if you're expecting a modern, sleek, super shiny experience!
We are 2 miles from Witham Friary village, it's a lovely bike ride to the pub (The Seymour Arms). Stourhead House and Garden, Bruton and Frome are a short drive away. Longleat, Wookey Hole, Bristol, Bath, Salisbury, Stonehenge and Avebury are within easy reach for a day trip.
  • Seona's place looks and smell super homely the minute you enter it. The wood burner is fantastic and the views are great. Lots to do in the area too. You can't go wrong!

    Sophie2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • What a delightful tucked away, cosy find! Seona made us feel so welcome on a cold, windy afternoon. We had a warming log burner set, milk, butter and freshly made bread and electric blankets on our beds to take the chill away. The house is delightful with lots of well thought out things to do for my teenage children, including a Wii and Xbox, lots of dvds to watch, books to read and a piano to tinker on much to my son's delight! The bedding was really good quality and was clearly freshly laundered which made it even more delightful to climb into on a cold, windy night. We will most definitely be staying again and would highly recommend it. A welcoming, cosy, clean and great value for money stay, thank you Seona.

    Sarah2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Well what can I say, We will be back! What a wonderful cosy, homely place. It was exactly what we needed for a couple of days rest and rejuvenation. Seona was a fantastic host, we arrived to electric blankets on the beds and a nice fire lit.

    Rachel2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Seona is a great host, there were thoughtful touches throughout our 4 day stay; milk, bread, eggs on arrival and offers to light the fire and fill the log basket. The location was great for Longleat and we also made easy trips to Wells and Chedder. The property is in a very peaceful location with the delight of owls Twit -Twooing at night! We are a family of 4 with and 3 month old and 4year old and really enjoyed our stay. I would recommend bringing a mattress for the cot, as it only comes with the thin mattress supplied by manufacturer.

    Emma2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • lovely place so many extra touches.. teas, coffees, eggs, bread, butter & jams! and seona came in each evening before we got back to light the fire for us :)

    Natalie2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Brilliant host, great communication and very willing to help. Lovely place to stay.

    Ben2019-12-07T00:00:00Z
  • Seona‘s cottage was so cosy and welcoming! The location is idyllic and so peaceful. We used it as a base for spending the evening at Stourhead to see the Christmas lights show. When we arrived Seona had lit the fire to warm the place up. There was fresh bread, eggs and milk which was very thoughtful! She also provided some tips on nearby places to eat. All in all a great, easy experience and would definitely stay again!

You will have a single comfy room in a quiet house and neighbourhood. There is a bathroom with a shower. In the morning a simple breakfast of bread, butter and jam is provided. Off street parking is available and plenty of on-street parking close by. We are well-situated in a quiet road, only ten minutes’ walk from the centre of this thriving Somerset town. This modern house is a stone’s throw from the cobbled streets, independent shops and a brilliant selection of cafes and restaurants.
The bed is a single with the basics for a comfy stay. The shared bathroom is newly renovated and has a shower cubicle. I have been a little over zealous with a cleaning agent and there are now bleach marks on the walls of the shower. There are steps up to the house and the bedroom is up a flight of stairs. The kitchen can be used by agreement.
Frome is a vibrant town. It dates back to the middle ages and mixes old and new in a truly unique way. You will find independent shops scattered among brilliant restaurants and cafes. On the first Sunday of every month, from March to November, you will find the centre of town transformed into a market place. Independent traders from all over Somerset visit and set up their stalls and you will be fascinated by what is on offer. The food is pretty good at these events too! The house is in a quiet neighbourhood but with easy access to the centre of town and public transport links. When you stay with us you will realise how close you are to the places you’ve always wanted to visit. Glastonbury is just up the road. You can walk up to the Tor in the morning and then shop in the designer outlet ‘Clark’s Village’ in Street in the afternoon. Or why not visit Bath? You will discover Roman Britain and Jane Austin within a short walk of each other with shops and restaurants in between. If you fancy a day in the open air you can choose between Longleat and Stour Head. And only an hour away you can find one of the most world-famous landmarks of all – Stonehenge.

  • Great place to stay.

    Scott2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • I really enjoyed my stay at Elizabeth’s. It was exactly as expected and looked just like the photos. The communication from the host was excellent - I had no issues with checking in or worries about anything. The pretty estate that the house is on is very quiet; perfect walking distance from the stunning town centre of Frome. My car was safe on the drive. There is a supermarket right across the road; it has everything that you need. The house is cosy and I was allowed to use the kitchen - great to prepare your meals if you have agreed before. Breakfast was a nice touch - toast with butter and jam with hot beverage. My room had a very comfortable bed with delicious biscuits/tea & coffee/kettle. Plenty of space to hang a few clothes for a few days. Desk and chair. The Wi-Fi was fast and stable with a good signal in my bedroom. I slept soundly here. I loved the powerful shower and decent bathroom. The place was sparkling clean and I would definitely recommend staying here. Elizabeth is an interesting, intelligent lady a we had a good chat. I will stay there again. It’s a superb base to see lots of interesting places. Excellent value for money. Thank you.

Very quiet room as it does not face a road but instead looks over a park with a very lovely oak tree. Westbury is a convenient location for it's transport links. You can get a direct train to London in 1hr25m, Bristol in 35 mins or Bath in about 25 mins. Westbury train station is about a 5 min drive from the property (20 min walk). The area is safe and quiet and there's an area nearby with a good pizza place, a wine bar and a Tesco Express.
This listing is for 1 room in a 3 bedroom house, however we are also renting the room adjacent to this one so, if you are travelling as a family, you can book both rooms if needed. In the park that's pictured there is a small children's play area which might be useful to know if you're travelling with little ones. There are only 2 of us living in the house. I work from home so I'm in most of the time and my wife works in Bath.
The house is in a residential area, situated right next to a quiet park. Within 6 minutes walking distance is a local shop as well as some local restaurants and a wine bar. A little further out is Aldi and then the town centre is about a 25 minute walk from the house. If you're looking for a scenic walk then it's really nice to go up to the White Horse - it's the famous horse which has been carved into the hillside at Bratton Downs. You can park at the top and walk right up to the horse. There's quite a large area you can walk around up there with great views from all sides.
  • William & Sheyde are great hosts, very good communication and very friendly. The room is ideal for a business trip, good internet and a comfy bed.

  • Wills is very friendly and has a personable demeanour.

    Mark2019-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • Will and Sheyde are a relaxed and down-to-earth couple. They were very welcoming during my stay and had an air of being very used to being around new people. This meant that they were easy to approach for advice and company. Their home is exceptionally clean, warm and comfy. I can't fault any part of my stay. I would seriously recommend you consider staying with them whenever you visit Westbury.

  • We had a perfect stay at Claire & Pippa’s place with our 2 year old. It was spotlessly clean and had everything needed for a comfortable stay including lots of information on the local area. We had excellent communication from the hosts. It is a 10minute drive to Longleat which I would highly recommend especially if you have children. We would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone!

I live in a character property townhouse. All newly decorated throughout yet keeping the charm of all original features. Walking distance to all amenities. Lovely private walled back garden for your use.
You will have your own single bedroom with a tv, Netflix and WIFI. The other rooms in the house are shared. Shops and pubs all walking distance. You will have use of the kitchen should you wish to cook or use the microwave. Some traffic noise will be heard as it is a town house but generally quiet during the night. On a Friday and Saturday night music can be heard from a close by bar but finishes about 2330.
Warminster is a beautiful little town, full of charm. Lovely friendly traditional pubs and also a Wetherspoons. Lovely restaurants and a selection of shops. There is also a beautiful lake with lovely walks just five minute walk away from where I live and Longleat and Center Parcs is just a 10 minute drive away.

Otter 4 is a self-catering log cabin complete with private inflatable hot tub, floating king size bed and modern shower en suite. Located on The Hunters Moon site, the setting is idyllic with three acres of land and 2 lakes offering coarse and fly fishing. An ideal spot for pleasure anglers, nature lovers, walkers and cyclists. Clubhouse on site serving evening meals & drinks.

  • What a lovely little find! We stayed here for two nights in the days between Xmas and new year. As we were attending the Festival of light and Center Parcs Spa it was the perfect location for us to relax. We arrived later in the day and had a really easy check in, the lodge was all warmed and the hot tub prepared ready. The lodge itself (amongst all the others at Hunters Moon) has been renovated after Luke took over towards the end of 2019. The lodge is really cosy, brilliant shower and all the amenities you could need, however bring a towel! Bed is super comfy too. Pubs and supermarkets all nearby. Little clubhouse type thing onsite, though it’s being renovated so we didn’t use it. Little lake right outside the lodge with ducks, very peaceful and romantic. It’s a lovely place to stay, Luke was super helpful and we will definitely look to stay again when we are next up there. Thanks for having us and look forward to our next stay.

Not quite a barn and not really a cottage, to let. Therefore, a "Barnlet"! Lime Barnlet is 1 of 3 barnlets which are individually self contained or ideal for a group of 3 couples, all set in the gardens of our house. Bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living area! Great base for Bath Christmas market - a short car or train journey away. Loads of walks, beautiful countryside and close to Longleat ( 11 miles). Simple, cosy space. Perfect for a couple looking to get away from all things busy...
A cosy little place for two that has a great location with accessibility to lots of interesting places - Longleat is close, with Stourhead and Stonehenge also not far away and you can see the Westbury White Horse from your patio. Bath, Frome and Bradford on Avon are all worth a visit. The nearest town is Trowbridge, which has several restaurants and an Odeon cinema. Two local pubs - The Farmhouse (Southwick) and The Moon (Rudge) - this is a charming "real pub" which is about a 30-40 minute stroll.
The property is on a lane (about a mile from civilisation), with neighbours on both sides, but other than that, we share the area with lots of fields, cows, horses and birds. There is a farm shop about a mile away, with a mini Tescos a bit further.

We welcome you to the newly refurbished, self-contained annexe of our family house.
As you arrive through your front door there is a spacious hallway, with table and chairs, leading to a large, light lounge and a brand new small kitchen. Upstairs is a cosy double bedroom with a luxury shower room. The Gables' Annexe is completely self-contained. There is a washing machine, tumble dryer and iron that can be used upon request. The kitchen is fully equipped to whip up a hearty breakfast with an oven, hob, fridge and microwave...if there's anything you need that is not available we are nearby in the main house to help. Complementary Orange Juice, cereals, eggs, bread, Tea and coffee for your stay.
The Gables' Annexe is beautifully located at the end of a leafy lane in the small Wiltshire village of Westbury Leigh. The local pub, which serves delicious food, is just a short stumble away - at the top of the lane. There's a small community centre with a Tesco Express, fish & chip shop and Chinese takeaway just a 5 minute walk away and plenty of takeaways that are willing to deliver. During the day, explore the beautiful local country side, a visit to the hillside 'Westbury White Horse' is a must. Nearby, the artisan town of Frome or the historic Bradford-on-Avon - with it's beautiful canal-side walks - are both worth a visit. Hop on the train at Dilton Marsh Halt (5 minute walk) or drive 14 miles to the picturesque City of Bath or go further afield to indulge in some retail therapy in Bristol. The world-famous family attraction of Longleat is just a 10 minute drive away and well worth a visit.
  • Exactly what we expect, easy self check in and comes with everything you need for a few nights stay, would d100% recommend to anyone looking to stay in this area and looking for a quiet setting! Thanks again x

  • Lovely place, spotlessly clean and everything thought of.

    Nikki2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • The annex is a fantastic place to stay, lots of room and very homely. The added extras of the bean bags, wii, breakfast items were all great. We found the location to be really good for longleat and walking distance from pub/shop/takeaways. Loved the information about what the annex had been before!

    Katy2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely, self contained annex ... One of the best air b and bs we have stayed in.

    Laura2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time and would thoroughly recommend staying here. For us it was a convenient overnight stay after a Center Parcs spa day and before a day in Bath. The place is wonderfully clean, clear information about how to use the amenities and lots of nice touches to make our stay so comfortable. It’s lovely and quiet and I had the best nights sleep I have had for ages. We didn’t end up going out on the evening because we had so much fun playing on the WII games!

    Rachel2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • A sweet immaculate tiny private annexe house in good distance for many Wiltshire and Somerset attractions. Space to park, though it’s a tiny dead end lane so smaller car manoeuvring easier. It’s embedded in a housing estate with local shops walkable. Living areas are warm and cosy, but bring your slippers for the kitchen is a bit nippy. We had a lovely peaceful stay!

    Debs2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay and It was an ideal base for visiting Bath. The annex was cosy, warm and comfortable with a spacious lounge and fully equipped kitchen. The milk, eggs and bread were very welcome. Matthew and Charis are perfect helpful hosts.

Having enjoyed letting out my double en-suite, I’m now opening up a single room at a lower rate. It has fewer amenities but I hope might be suitable for people coming for work purposes or single travellers who don’t need much space. Although I call it a single, it actually has a double bed, so very comfortable for one person. You will need to share my bathroom, but it is right next door and has a full bath with shower over - and only shared with me!
Although the room is small, it has a double bed, and there are shelves, a bedside table, a small desk/table and chair. There is a kettle and items for making drinks, and I provide some snack breakfast items to start off your morning.
Frome is a wonderful little market town, full of amazing independent shops and cafés - "best place to live in the south west" according to the Sunday Times. It is just a 10 minute walk to the centre down the attractive cobbled Catherine Hill - recently voted 14th prettiest street in Britain. On the first Sunday of every month (Mar - Dec) the whole town centre is taken over by the Independent Market full of quirky artisan and vintage stalls, delicious local foods and live music. There are also plenty of places to visit nearby. Longleat is just a 15 minute drive and it is only half an hour to Georgian Bath, Wells with its glorious Cathedral Close and Glastonbury's famous Abbey and Tor. World famous Stonehenge is only a 45 minute drive.
  • Great accommodation, room was very clean, spacious and cosy.

  • Jane's place is a fabulous find. I stayed in the single room, which is really comfy with a roomy double bed and lovely thoughtful touches, including kettle, coffee, tea and breakfast snacks. The WiFi was fast and reliable and there is even a little desk if you want to do some work. Jane was friendly and welcoming and was super-responsive: booking me in at very short notice! Everything was clean and Jane has taken real care with decorating the rooms with fun travel-themed accessories! The room was also great value and in a good location - just a short stroll into the old part of town and 25 min walk from the train station. Would highly recommend!

    Polly2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • My first time using AirBnb and my experience was amazing. Great room, great service and great communication, Jane was amazing in accommodating my request. The single room is quite spacious for a single and the double bed is so comfy. Would definitely use again when in Frome.

Lovely, bright, open plan studio with balcony in Bishopstrow, a small hamlet on the outskirts of Warminster. Large bedroom with Super-King size bed, modern shower & kitchen with an oak-framed floor-to-ceiling glass window looking out over the garden. 15 minute drive from Longleat and Cenre Parcs, just 20 minutes from Stonehenge and 30 minutes from Bath.
The bedroom has an extremely comfy super king-size bed, a 37" flat screen TV with FreeSat, free wifi, a desk if your work needs to follow you home and a sofa, perfect for reading the Sunday papers. We provide a Mothercare cot (bought November 2018) if anyone would like to bring their babe (0-12 months) with them! The Loft is not suitable for toddlers. The shower room, with under-floor heating, has a large power-shower, a loo and basin. The small kitchen is fully equipped to suit all requirements, allowing you to prepare any meals you may wish to. Breakfast is provided in the kitchen: there will be fresh bread for toast, butter, marmalade, jams, cereals, teas, coffee (and plunger), juice, milk and sugar etc, bacon and eggs. Please do let me know in advance if you are vegetarian and would like blueberries and yoghurt instead. The studio is a perfect, romantic getaway for a couple who need a break from stressful jobs or demanding children! The small balcony is a lovely spot for a relaxing drink at the end of a busy day. In nice weather, you are welcome to use the picnic table and benches in a quiet corner of our garden too.
There are many interesting places to visit less than an hour from Bishopstrow. The classically beautiful City of Bath, with Roman Baths, Abbey and great shopping is 19 miles to the north. Salisbury, with its famous Cathedral and John Constable views is 21 miles to the south. Longleat House, and the famous “Lions of Longleat”, are 4 miles away; an amazing day out for all ages! Salisbury Plain is right on the door step, as is the Wylye Valley, with great walks and pubs. Stonehenge, a World Heritage Site, is 12 miles away, over the Plain and its Visitor Centre, opened in 2014, has enhanced the visitor experience significantly. The Stourhead National Trust house and gardens are 15 minutes away.
  • Such a lovely place to stay in the country. Sally and her family seem lovely and very accomodating. Would definately recommend and hope to stay again soon. Thanks Sally! Xx

  • A wonderfully peaceful little hideaway tucked up in a lovely area just outside Warminster! The loft is warm, light, cosy, beautifully decorated with a comfy bed and really well-equipped kitchen and bathroom. The view from the loft is of Sally's lovely big garden with fields beyond and Warminster centre is a pleasant 25 minute walk away. You will receive a warm welcome when you arrive and both Sally and Jules are very affable hosts. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend their fabulous loft.

    Melissa2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely weekend getaway for a couple. The Stable Loft offers a large studio room, comfortable bed (we're told soon to be replaced by a queensize), good bathroom and kitchen. The addition of a fridge stocked with eggs, bacon, milk and orange juice with cereals teas and coffees on the side means you can cook a leisurely breakfast anytime you want. Sally was a fantastic and friendly host who gave us a great welcome and send off. Location is brilliant, especially as we booked an evening at the Centre Parcs Spa which was only a 10 min drive away. Would definitely recommend!

    Nick2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The Stable Loft is a really well-equipped, spacious and light apartment, very tastefully furnished and nice views from the huge windows. Sally met us on arrival, showed us round and was helpful throughout our stay. Very welcome supplies for breakfast too. You’d need a car, but there are great walks from the door too.

  • What a beautiful location. The grounds are stunning. Horses and chickens right outside the front door. Inside the house was beautiful, downstairs bathroom was lush. With a very comfy a bed. Upstairs was very nice, fully functional kitchen with everything you could need. We were very impressed with how clean the house was. Loved it. We will definitely be returning. (Longleat is only 10 mins away worth a visit. And The White Hart pub served some fantastic food!)

We would definitely book again if visiting the area in the future - thankyou :)

A large semi-detached cottage at the end of a quiet lane. A lovely space with great views.

We live in a pretty village along the Wylye Valley. There are lovely walks from here and a village pub serving tasty food, fairly priced. • Anitra and Chris were kind and friendly hosts, I arrived late evening and they told me where to park my car on the drive. I met their cute cat and puppy, Anitra showed me my room, the bathroom and the kitchen and where they would leave breakfast for me. I slept well on the comfy bed and had privacy due to the ensuite and top floor. The views outside the back of the house were great. I had to leave by 7.45 for an interview so it was a short stay but the hosts were lovely and I would stay again if ever back in the area. Thank you!

    Derrick2019-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • Incredible hospitality! I arrived by motorcycle to find they had made a nice spot for me to park off the street and in their side yard. Their neighborhood is very quiet and they live on a non-through way street so I never heard a peep of traffic from the street. They’re surrounded by beautiful countryside with a local pub just walking distance down the street. Chris gave me the tour and it was very obviously this house is home to a very loving family. The room is spacious and bright with a very nicely remodeled bathroom. It stayed cozy and warm through the night along with the quiet countryside setting. The room is upstairs and offers privacy not offered by most rooms in a home. Their son was visiting from out of town and we all sat together on their patio for a meal talking for hours and eventually moved inside till much past my normal bed time. I had so much fun and felt so welcomed! I highly recommend this place if you’re look for quality relaxing stay with the warm feeling you only get from a family B&B.

  • Anita and Chris are very kind generous hosts. I had a great stay at their large home in beautiful settings. I was on a course but it felt more like a holiday. Great running routes as well. Thank you.

  • Chris and Anitra are such lovely hosts and really give a warm welcome to their home. The room is like your own little suite in the attic and the beds are really comfy. It was a pleasure to stay there.

    Lianne2019-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • Had a perfect stay at Jan's lodge. 4 of us stayed, 1 couple and 2 singles. The place was easy to find, warm on arrival and had all the amenities required to cater for ourselves. Fresh towels were provided and the place was spotless. Other perks was that it had a smart TV, Free WiFi and the shower was just perfect! Would highly recommend if you're due to visit Longleat Safari like we did. Would happily choose to stay here again! Thanks so much.

  • What a great find this place is, a short journey from Longleat, lovely and quiet and private with great views. The pictures don’t do the lodge justice, it’s lovely inside and out and we’ll be going back again! Warminster is also a short trip and has everything you need from pubs to takeaways, supermarkets and shops. We would’ve loved to stay another night but we had work. Well done to Jan, lovely touches throughout and especially the treats that were left, thank you!

    Claire2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Jan’s chalet was perfect for our weekend at Longleat. Communication prior to our arrival was prompt and clear. We were given a very warm welcome on arrival and the chalet itself was perfect for our needs. We made use of the kitchen which was perfect for lunches and evening meals. The beds were all very comfortable and the shower was lovely. Will definitely try to rebook for next year!

    Matt2019-09-15T00:00:00Z

  • We had a wonderful week in Crockerton, we have seen many cultural and natural beauties in the region and we enjoyed the fine hospitality and comfort of the Crockerton Lodge. The owners are very kind people.

    Berend M.2019-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • This place is far bigger than it looks and we were so pleasantly surprised when we walked in. The hosts were amazing, we had flapjacks, wine and milk when we arrived and when we couldn’t get the fire to work they popped over to help straight away. They also noticed I had put up a black out and offered another. They live on site and you can just text them. Our reason for choosing here was to visit Longlete and it was a good location. Lovely and peaceful, we miss sitting at the table looking over the fields! There were lots of nice touches like a Smart tv so we could watch Netflix, some children’s games, patio furniture etc. We would recommend people bring extra pillows as it’s one per person except for the double bed. It was a really nice stay, the photos do not do this place justice! Would highly recommend to anyone and plan on booking next year.

A Super clean, homely and still modern, beautiful place, you can tell he loves hosting people immediately. He made me feel right at home, and even drove me to the train station in the next town, when I missed my train to work! Nick is a real Superhost!

  • Stayed in this wonderful cottage for 2 nights. Was immaculately clean with high specification utilities. Felt very homely! Our hosts were lovely and very accommodating. We used this as a base for Stonehenge, Longleat and then an afternoon in Lyme Regis on our way home. We also enjoyed a lovely meal at the White Hart inn in Trudoxhill which was about 10/15 mins drive.

    Charlotte2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent weekend in the annex, check in and out was very easy and flexible. Really cosy setting and a great welcoming host which was really nice. Will definitely book again in the future.

  • Wendy was an outstanding host. Myself and my partner had a lovely weekend in the cute and cosy annex. Has everything you need, the bathroom and bedroom was particularly lovely. We were given an extension on the check out time due to the awful weather, very helpful.

    George2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • The photos were good but the place was even better. Wendy was fab, helped us out with a few bits because I wasn't very organised. The cottage was beautiful, homely and spotlessly clean. A minute walk to the pub which was friendly with fab food. I would recommend May Cottage and Wendy as a host in a heartbeat.

    Sarah2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful spacious place! We loved staying at the cottage. Great place with everything you could ever need and Wendy is very welcoming and lovely!

    Dagmar2020-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a wonderful stay at Wendy’s Annexe, it was such a relaxing place. Perfect nights sleep as well as it’s located right in the countryside so not a sound can be heard from outside. There is a small country pub opposite which was a bonus! This Airbnb is incredibly cosy, clean, stylish and homely. Wendy’s hospitality was outstanding and we look forward to staying there again very soon.

    Jessica2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Wendy’s place was just fantastic. Really quiet, very comfortable, very stylish! Everything we needed for our two night stay. Very accommodating for our toddler by very kindly offering high chair and travel cot.

  • Any review of Laurel House must start with Hayley and Steve. Two lovely people rightly proud of their lovely house and who looked after me so, so well. It did really feel like being a house guest. I had their lovely little single room with a balcony, a bit chilly to try, and the oh so comfortable bed. Bathroom was immaculate with a lovely big bath which after a long journey I took full advantage of. Breakfast was lovely and when I took over the breakfast table to do some paperwork for an hour before departing Steve continuously fed me coffee. If someone wanted to learn how to be the perfect Airbnb host, staying a night at Laurel House would set them on the right path.

A sweet, cottage feel, late Victorian end of terrace three bedroom home with traditional wooden features and log burner. The main attraction is the beautiful living room with a working fireplace. There is a fully serviceable kitchen and developed rear garden. Upstairs there are three light bedrooms of which two have double beds for your stay and one single bed. There is free roadside parking out the front and down the adjoining road.
The living room area is lovely. The kitchen is fully functional. Perfect for staying to explore the surrounding Wiltshire area, Longleat, Bath, Stonehenge or visiting family locally. Unfortunately there are no facilities for very young children such as high chair or cot.

  • We loved this cute 3 bedroom cottage. Appreciated Casey's offer to help ourselves to tea, coffee and sauces. There is a small little garden at the back. We always managed to park our car on the street in front or very near to the cottage. There was a log burner but we found the central heating kept us warm. Great location to visit nearby Longleat (10 minutes drive). We love the Festival of Light from November at Longleat. Great communication with host. Thank you Casey for your economical rates and lovely little cottage which suited us perfectly. Julia

    Miriam2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • We booked very last minute and are really glad we did. Sarah and Dave are great hosts, offered advice for a local dinner, and made check-in really fast and painless. Their room (with ensuite) was clean and comfortable, exactly what we needed for a quick overnight hideaway. The breakfast counter, including milk, cereal, juice, toaster and egg poacher is a great touch - saved us on buying breakfast. Couldn't recommend more. Thank you!

Our purpose built Shepherd's hut is nestled in a little wooded area on the side of our working farm and equestrian facility. You could be in the middle of nowhere yet you are only a minutes walk from the car park. From the hut you have excellent views across our 25 acre cross country course and the beautiful Wiltshire downs. You're likely to spot a horse or two, some boxing hares and a whole host of other wildlife.
The hut has a standard double bed with luxury pocket sprung mattress. A mattress protector and bottom sheet are provided but you will need to bring your own bedding, pillows and towels. The kitchen area is well equipped and has a sink, double gas hob and a powered cool box. There is small log burner for when it gets chilly but for sunny evenings there is a picnic bench and BBQ/fire pit outside. kindling, logs and charcoal are all provided. . Enough tea and coffee for your first mug or two is provided. The Hut has 12v electricity and plenty of different lighting options to allow you to create the perfect atmosphere for a snug evening. There is a Bluetooth speaker and USB charging points There is storage for a bag or two under the bed. There's also a decent sized storage box for any food that you may bring. The toilet and shower block is a 20 second walk from the hut and has hot water on demand. As an equestrian facility we could also accommodate your horse (for an additional fee) to enable you to enjoy the equestrian facilities we have on offer. We have hundreds of miles of bridleways, all accessible from the farm. If walking is more your thing then you will find an Ordnance Survey map in the hut. There are endless options depending on how energetic you're feeling. The chalk downlands provides a unique habitat for birds and nature in general and there is always plenty to look at and enjoy. The farm has featured on both Countryfile and the One Show for its wildlife. We are on the sustrans Route 24 cycle route so cycling is plentiful. Longleat forest and Windhill bike park are also nearby for the more adventurous mountain bike rider. I'm a keen mountain biker myself and would happily share some local knowledge. Longleat, Bath, Stonehenge and Salisbury are all nearby. If you want to let someone else do the cooking we have several excellent country pubs nearby (5 min drive or 20-30 min walk). If you need to stock up at anytime there's a decent store at Codford 3 miles away, or, 3 major supermarkets in Warminster, which is 10 minutes away by car.
  • This place is a beautiful space and very well thought out in the heart of the countryside! Perfect for couples wanting a getaway and having a place to yourself! The peacefulness and beautiful settings make this place absolutely amazing and andrew has done so well at making the place so special ! We will definitely be visiting again, so thank you again to Andrew for making this stay extra special and being an amazing host, can't wait to go back soon!

  • Lovely shepherds hut, very cosy. Great location for walks and seeing Stonehenge!

    Emily2020-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect little hut set in a beautiful rural setting. Really thoughtfully planned out and amazing use of space inside. Warm and cosy with the log burner despite a wet and windy night. Hot shower and bathroom facilities less than a ten second walk away. Lovely farm walks with amazing views. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back to stay again! Thanks for a great stay.

    Jessica2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Andrews hut was absolutely lovely. My partner and I booked a night for a little getaway and was perfect! The weather outside was cold but the fire inside kept up super toasty. Amenities were really good and the hut felt more spacious than the pictures show. Toilet and shower are seperate outside but are very close and clean. Would definitely come back, maybe in the summer to enjoy the scenery more.

    Rachal2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • The hut is in a fantastic location, everything you need is to hand, Spotlessly clean, great toilet and shower block, Nothing is too much for Andrew, Perfect base to tour local area, and get back to peace and quiet, This wasnt our first stay in a shepherd's hut but was the best, Thank you Andrew.

    Derek2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • The shepherds hut looks great and has all you need for a cosy night and breakfast with a view the next day. Lots of clever touches for a small space. We particularly loved the log burner that took the edge off a rainy October night. The bonus was waking up to dappled sunlight coming through the trees.

    Lorna2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Very thoughtfully laid out. Peaceful and very cosy. Andrew is generous, friendly and flexible. The unlimited supply of wood for the stove made our stay extra cosy. We really didnt want to leave!

    Abigail2019-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • Andrew has created a great space here. The hut is really well kitted out with comfort and thoughtful little touches. First night we stayed was a bit chilly but 5 minutes with the log burner lit and the place was warm and cosy. The facilities were private and a 5 second walk. They were spotlessly clean and the shower was really hot and powerful. Outside the hut there was a little firepit which we sat round and enjoyed the views. It was quiet and apart from the odd horse rider very private. Andrew met us on arrival and showed us round. He was very friendly and welcoming. We didn't see him at all after that but new he was on hand if anything happened. I'd absolutely recommend this place and would certainly stay again if we were in the area.

The cottage has everything you need, fully fitted kitchen with fridge freezer plus a dishwasher which was an added bonus! Anne is a lovely host and responded quickly to my messages, before and during our trip. We cannot fault Moor Cottage and would recommend it to anybody looking for peace and quiet or to explore the local area. Thanks again Anne!

  • We had a fantastic couple of days staying in Anne's cottage. The location is excellent for a trip to Longleat or exploring nearby Frome or as we did Bath. The cottage was exceptionally clean when we arrived and with everything you need for a great stay. The log burner was brilliant and kept the cottage cosy and warm when the weather was very cold outside. The personal touches of having homemade bread and marmalade and milk in the fridge where very nice. We would thoroughly recommend staying here and will certainly do so in the future.

This lovely two bedroom former milking parlour in the tranquil hamlet of Brokerswood is within the grounds of a farmhouse dating back to Tudor times. Located at the edge of the ancient Selwood Forest, on the Somerset/Wiltshire border, this rural retreat is ideally located close to the historic City of Bath, Longleat House and Safari Park, Stonehenge, Salisbury and is just 3 miles from the artisan market town of Frome. A direct, fast train service to London departs from nearby Westbury.
The Old Dairy is an entirely self contained, detached property with private parking directly outside. The cottage itself has a boutique feel with super comfy beds and a warm cosy atmosphere: Spacious lounge/diner Separate kitchen 2 very good sized bedrooms; 1 double and 1 twin room (twin beds can be attached on request to create a cosier double) Bathroom with full size bath and shower. There is a big 'smart' TV in the lounge, as well as a DVD player and playstation with a selection of films and games.
Brokerswood's most notable landmark is the Grade II listed 'Tin Church' and the fabulous woodland landscape. At weekends and during school holidays, activities including canoeing, archery and 'Tarzan trail' high ropes can be enjoyed within the woodland - contact The Wiltshire Outdoor Learning Team for bookings. The picturesque Fairwood lakes, open daily, are less than a mile away - with a great cafe, sunny terrace, play park, soft play area and fishing (inc rod hire) for children and adults. Part of the Wiltshire cycleway route, Brokerswood is a great base for exploring the surrounding countryside using the public footpaths, bridleways and woodland trails. The area is very popular with horse riders and cyclists. There are countless quintessentially English pubs in the surrounding villages - closest, and within walking distance is 'The Full Moon at Rudge'. There are excellent restaurants and bars in Frome and Bruton and even more choice in nearby Bath.
  • A cosy and elegantly decked out conversion, with plenty of space for up to four people. Georgia was very quick to respond and was kind enough to let us check in early. All the essentials (tea, coffee, milk etc) were waiting for us on arrival, as well as lots of lovely extras - pan au chocolat, fresh juice and a range of lovely toiletries. The kitchen was kitted out with everything you’d need for a few days. Pubs and villages are walkable, although not on the doorstep, lots of country walks and historic attractions nearby too. We’d definitely stay again.

    Katie2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • We were very pleased with Georgia's place. It was warm and inviting. There we're many thoughtful touches and such cute decorations. There were no stairs which was perfect for my mom. My sister and I stayed in the room with two single beds and my mom stayed in the room on the other end of the house with the bigger bed. The beds we're extremely soft and comfortable. There was milk, orange juice, fresh eggs, croissants, bread, butter, jams, honey and cereal. Netflix was a nice option. The surroundings we're beautiful. This was one of my favorite places to stay and we would definitely stay here again.

    Sharon2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay in the Old Dairy. Georgia has left us a wonderful breakfast - fresh eggs, bread, orange juice - and all of the rooms were very clean, warm and cosy. Thanks for having us!

    Liv2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here for a weekend and managed to visit lots of local landmarks, eat at some lovely places, whilst still finding the time to relax. We also visited Longleat Safari which is only 20 mins away. Lots of thoughtful little touches from Georgia (breakfast that lasted all weekend, luxury bath salts) my son also found a chocolate on his pillow that he was very excited about! There is so much to do nearby, but equally if you just want to chill out and relax, it’s the perfect place for that too! Thank you Georgia and Arron. I have already recommended the old dairy to several people!

  • A wonderful tranquil place for walks, visits to Bath and surrounding villages. Georgia’s thoughtful touches included plenty to keep us going through breakfasts etc. Would throughly recommend!

  • Gorgeous stable/annex conversion in rural location. 10 mins away from supermarkets etc. and perfect for a country escape. The property is much larger in person and has all the facilities/amenities you’d have at home. Thoughtful touches such as locally sourced fresh milk, bread and pastries were ready for us on arrival. As well as luxury toiletries such as bath salts, essential bath oils which made us feel like we were at home. All in all I’d say that this was the best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in!

Generous double room in family home with ensuite shower room in an extended 18th century cottage in the village of Corsley. Antique furniture. Desk with light. Stripped board floor with rugs. Two minute walk to park, 10 minute drive to Longleat Estate, Center Parcs Longleat or the quaint market town of Frome. 20 minutes to Stourhead and 30 minutes to Bath or Stonehenge.
Our village is surrounded by farmland, great for walks, but close enough to the main road to make access to local attractions easy. It is on route 24 of the Sustrans National Cycle Network. We keep chickens and grow a lot of our own produce so some of that may be available at breakfast.
We are just a short walk away from two good pubs for food, the Royal Oak Corsley or the Cross Keys Corsley (Booking is recommended) and a park with lots of play equipment. Longleat Wind Hill Mountain Bike Park is 10 minutes' drive away. Frome has an excellent Sunday market http://thefromeindependent.org.uk/visit/ on the first Sunday of each month from March - December.

Not quite a barn and not really a cottage, to let. Therefore, a "Barnlet"! Birch Barnlet is 1 of 3 barnlets which are individually self contained or ideal for a group of 3 couples, all set in the gardens of our house.
  • We booked Hayley’s place for a long weekend. Hayley is simply amazing, she’s friendly, communication with her was very easy and quick, she gave us a lot of useful information about the area, the things to do and places to go. The bungalow is located in a lovely place, between farms where if you’re lucky enough can see and meet some new friend, called sheep, cows, horses. We loved so much the style of the interior, we felt so cozy in there. We spent some relaxing mornings and nights here, and had everything in the kitchen to make breakfast or cook, bake something proper. We are pleased to could stay here and would recommend it to anyone who needs a bit of escape from any big city life.

  • Very nice place in a peaceful location, had everything we needed for our week stay. Great hosts who were very friendly and helpful with their local knowledge. Would stay there again anytime.

    Luke2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay Hayley was great and went above the call of duty to give directions , check in , heaters on all fab when we arrived The wine and biscuits were an added touch. Will definitely stay again loved the accommodation x

    Pam2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • Was a perfect stay for a long weekend away in Bath. Super quick responses, easy checkin, exceeded expectations. Highly recommend.

    Josh2019-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • A real little slice of paradise! Hayley is wonderful and sent us detailed instructions on how to find the Barnlets. The use of the Three Word App provided the best directions as the postcode sends you straight passed the gate. Check in was super easy with a lock box so the fact we arrived slightly earlier than expected wasn’t a problem. We stayed in Birch and it was so good we are already looking at when we can return. The kitchen was small but perfectly formed with everything you could need. Including the added bonus of a few little extras to see you through the first night. The two comfy armchairs looked out over the field as we were at the beginning of the block of three. There is no tv or WiFi which was actually very restful and peaceful. We listened to the rain and the sheep instead. The bedroom was a lot bigger than I had expected with a full wardrobe and chest of drawers. We both slept well despite the mattress seeming a little tired and passed it’s best. The bathroom is off the bedroom and again a good size with a spacious shower at the end. The shower didn’t have a lot of power to it but was lovely and hot. The water supply in general was quite noisy, especially when you flushed the toilet, so we made sure it was a reasonable hour before doing so! Lol The whole Barnlet is filled with beautiful beams and a lovely neutral decor. We were there in December and it was warm and cosy. We visited the Festival of Lights at Longleat Safari Park, which is approx 20 mins away. Bath is about 30 mins the other way so it was perfectly situated for both. All in all we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Hayley and her Barnlets. We will definitely be back to hide from the world. Next time we will bring a couple of board games with us as well. Perfect for a get away from it all sort of break. Thanks Hayley

    Jules2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Hayley’s place was the perfect weekend get away - very chilled, perfect distance to visit the city of Bath and lovely to come back to after the busy Christmas markets. Very easy check in and local recommendations for dinner made our visit even better - thanks for a great stay!

    Sophie2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Quiet, wonderful little barnlet, very clean and tidy space. Extremely cozy and comfy and so relaxing to be in, even though the weather was horrible we still felt great inside the little cozy barnlet, great host, extremely attentive and responsive to any queries. Would 100% come back again!

    Valter2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Haley’s barnlets set back in the countryside is really quiet and peaceful, exactly what it says on the tin.

  • This was a great place for a family of 4 to stay for a long weekend. The house is lovely & the grounds and village are great! The house was very clean, tastefully decorated, spacious and comfortable. We were really able to relax. Michelle was very prompt in getting back about any queries & most helpful when we had a problem with our car, which affected our arrival. I would definitely recommend staying in this place and exploring the area. Bradford On Avon was a lovely place to visit. Thanks Michelle!

    Karen2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Michele communicated well from the start of the booking process to the clear instructions regarding directions and arrival information. The cottage is lovely and Michele had provided us with a welcome pack which included bread, milk, fruit juice, biscuits. The cottage is set within beautiful grounds and was so quiet that at night we only disturbed the birds in the trees. Being an older property the upstairs floors do creak but this is part of the charm. There is an Amazon Firestick for the tv which will connect to Netflicks if you have this and you remember to take your user name and password with you. Michele was not around but had left the detail for someone to contact if we had any problems. It is a great location if you are visiting Longleat. I am sure we will be back again.

    Lynda2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Michele was an outstanding host ensuring that we had plenty of amenities, especially given that we had travelled by train so did not have access to a shop all the time. We ended up having to stay two extra nights for which Michele was extremely accommodating. I would 1000% recommend this cottage for a peaceful & private retreat with lovely scenery and a warm, stylish place to relax. I cannot wait to visit again!!

  • Clean, spacious property that suited our family of three very well. Lovely garden that our son enjoyed wandering in immensely. Great location to explore the many nearby National Trust properties, Bath, the coast, etc. The food at the local pub, The Woolpack, is quite good, only a short walk. A few thoughtful touches on arrival from the hosts was certainly appreciated after a day of travel.

Comfortable and spacious room, with shower en-suite. A modern house, with on street parking, it is just a 5 minute walk to the cobbled street of Catherine Hill, with it's independent shops and boutiques leading you to Frome's town centre. On the first Sunday of the month (Mar to Dec) this is taken over by the wonderful Frome Independent Market. Frome is also near many other great places to visit - half an hour from Bath, Wells, Glastonbury and many beautiful Somerset and Wiltshire villages.
With its en-suite and drink-making facilities, you can be completely independent in this spacious room. I have provided a TV, DVD player, hair drier and iron for your use, and there is an excellent wifi connection. You can also use the small room nearby set up with continental breakfast provisions, a mini fridge, microwave, crockery and cutlery.
