  • Cute, tiny cabin on the lake. Ritchie was responsive and gave good travel advice.

  • We are weekend warriors, trying to take small trips around michigan on the weekends. This weekend just so happened to be my husbands birthday, and he chose this cabin and I could not have been more pleased with the location, cleanliness or the hospitality Ritchies Airbnb offered us. We will DEFINITELY be coming back in the summer to enjoy the same scenery we saw this weekend. Thank you again!!

  • I absolutely loved this place! One of the most memorable air-bnbs I’ve ever stayed in. Great Lake view, stylish western-style cabins. Ritchie is very lovely and hospitable. Makes me wish I could stay for a week!

  • The location of this place is just perfect. Open the back door and you are few steps away from the lake. If you are looking for a lake gateway this is it !!! Also Ritchie is a great host and very responsive.

  • The cabin was adorable and we had everything we needed!

    Krystina2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin was just what we needed for our weekend up north! Ritchie was a great host, there if you needed but not overbearing. We accidentally blew a fuse and he was quick to help out! The cabin was cute, clean, and comfortable. Beautiful place on a beautiful lake! Highly recommend.

    Grace2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was super cozy & clean. Nice & warm. Perfect size for me, my husband & our pup. We enjoyed ice fishing & caught lots of perch. The lake is right in the back yard which was so nice. It’s shallow so the ice was nice & safe. 13inches!! People were driving on it. The marina down the street had bait for us. Richie went above & beyond for us. Including staying up late to greet us Friday & warming the cabin up for us. We absolutely loved walking to the little dinner down the road. Everything was so good. We ended up going back for dessert. We’re looking forward to our next stay on Paradise.

  • Ritchie was easy to contact and work with. Will be visiting again in the summer.

  • Perfect cozy cabin to stay. It was a nice experience even though the weather was cold and with some snow. Ritchie was very friendly and explained us everything about the cabin and also things to do and eat around the area. I will come back.

  • Looking for a quiet place to unwind for a few days? This is it! Will definitely be back.

    Ben2019-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • Adorable little cabin. Perfect view of the lake. Exactly as described, one room but had everything we needed for our several days there. Easy check in, he let us know a couple places to eat that were within walking distance. We were able to cook several meals there as there were pans, fridge, microwave, stove and keurig. Would definately come back another time.

    Shannon2019-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was perfect for my weekend in the area. Enjoyed the lake and sunrise right out the front door, don’t miss the Sturgeon Bay sunsets, pizza at Clyde’s Place was fantastic. The cabin is just right for one or two people and very clean. I would definitely stay again.

    Sherry2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Ritchie was an absolutely fantastic host. The place was clean and cute, the wifi worked very well, and the location was beautiful. He is knowledgeable about local places and was always close by. I recommend this to anyone going up north!

    Will2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Ritchie a great host. We were able to find the cabin with no difficulty. The cabin was clean, comfortable and cozy. A great location, we enjoyed all the fun and beauty surrounding Carp Lake.

    Sherri2019-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • Ritchie and his cabins were really wonderful! Cabin 2 is teeny tiny, but very sweet rustic and just feet away from the beautiful lakeshore. We were running several hours late, but Ritchie was very kind about it and waiting for us when we arrived. He helped us to jump start our fire with his torch and later showed us around some of the other cabins. Great location with lots of beautiful parks and trails nearby. So mice to be able to bring our dog and we cooked most of our meals in the kitchen or over the fire. We would love to come back and visit!

    Emily2019-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • Richie was a great host who was very helpful and right on the spot to answer any questions or offered help with any needs. The place has nostalgic charm and can be used as a base to travel other places or would be fun just to stay there relax and enjoy the lake was very serene. What is centrally located to visit many spots in the U P or the mitten. We will return in the future. I can recommend this place most definitely.

  • My mom and I stayed here for her birthday over the weekend and we both agree this place was way better than a hotel any day! She loved feeling like a local with the tucked away feel this house has to it and also enjoyed being right on the water. Waking up to the sunrise over the water and ducks on the dock was super relaxing! The house was very clean and well maintained. If we are ever in the area we will for sure be staying again!

  • The place feels very homely and comfortable. The interior design is quaint and welcoming. I had an accident on my way to the cabin, immobilizing me for my stay. Even with this circumstances I had a great and relaxing time inside the cabin. The owner extended my stay for a day so I could get more rest. She was also forthcoming with checkout times since I had trouble making it time. Communication was good and prompt in general.

Enjoy our charming cottage in Northern Michigan! Located in a convenient and cozy neighborhood just blocks from downtown and the Cheboygan Opera House. We have a fenced in backyard and pets are welcome for a small fee of $30 Located 16 miles from Mackinaw City and a block from the Cheboygan river and public boat launch. My wife and I would love for you to experience the city we love. If you choose our cottage we will do everything possible to make your stay enjoyable.
Our cottage is a 2 bedroom 1 bath house. It has been set up to host up to 7 people. We have a fenced in backyard with a small fire pit. LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION. A quick walk downtown or a short drive to hiking trails. Appoximately 16 miles to Mackinaw City makes this a great vacation base.
We love the neighborhood. Close to downtown with baseball diamonds across the street. We love walking to the local brewery and then catching a movie at the theater. If there is a show at the opera house we make sure to get tickets because it is a very quaint venue. When we have time we like to drop our kayaks in at Mullett Lake and paddle down the Cheboygan river which passes a block from our house.
  • Thanks so much for sharing your cottage with us! It met all our needs and was super comfortable and cozy-just as described. We loved the location. It was quiet and relaxing, yet close enough to everything we wanted to do. The house was clean and provided everything we needed. The backyard was fantastic, especially for our two dogs. The fence was short enough not to take away our view, but kept our big and little fur babies safely contained. Check-in was very easy and flexible. We had plenty of room, though there was just two of us. We would highly recommend Pete's cottage and if we're ever in need of a place to stay in the area again, we will for sure check to see if there is availability.

  • My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Shelly’s place. Check in was easy and the home was sparkling clean. I’ve stayed in many airbnb’s in Nothern Michigan and this was by far the cleanest! The location is perfect- right across from the water, and in between Indian River and Cheboygan. Easy access to I75. We decided to do a lot of exploring and were able to easily drive to Petoskey, Charlevoix, and Mackinaw from the cottage. We did cook dinner twice at the home and it was well equipped with everything we needed. We would love. To stay here again

    Megan2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful location and place. Towels are not available, they are visible but locked in cabinet. Very comfortable place with lovely view.. Notebook with additional rules and requirements for your stay, such as taking garbage to the curb and stripping beds before leaving even though you are paying a generous cleaning fee.

    Dawn2019-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great place for our family and friends. Each couple had a kid under two and we had plenty of space. The house was very clean and well put together, thank you. It was actually the second thing my wife commented on when we arrived, the first was the view. The house had games and kid toys on top of being pretty well baby proofed. There was even a baby gate! The breakfast nook was awesome for mornings with small kids and the fact that it opens into the living space makes for a home-like feel. There is a fenced-in backyard which makes playing outside with little ones a lot easier. Also, when they say bring your own towels, they mean ALL TOWELS. Hand towels, Washcloths, Beach towels, bathing towels, I would also recommend bringing extra dish towels and dish rags because they will come in handy for extended stays. The host is very accommodating and allowed our friends to park their camper in the driveway which made everyone's still more enjoyable. Our host is also very quick to respond to any questions or accommodations you may have. They had wood for us to use and a nice BBQ by the beach that was perfect for charcoal grilling if that's what you prefer. Overall great experience at a great value. We all would go again and recommend.

    Tyler2019-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay at Shelly's place she was a wonderful host! She responded quickly to any questions and was very friendly. The cabin was clean and bright. We rented a pontoon boat and appreciated the mooring ball to keep it moored at. We took walks each day along the Reclaimed rail bed now called the "North Central Trail". Next time we will bring bikes to ride it.

  • This is a wonderfully updated and peaceful place nestled near woods on the water. Plenty of space with updates throughout the home. Excellent hosts to communicate with if needed. Kayaks, a charcoal grill, and a fire pit ring along with chairs are all included near the water. We certainly enjoyed our stay, again, this year! Thanks, again!

  • The perfect space to get away and enjoy a beautiful view of Black Lake! Open floor plan with an entire wall of windows facing the lake make for the perfect view, day or night. Brenda was more than accommodating with immediate suggestions to every question we had about things to do and places to go in the area. House was stocked with everything you need to function on a daily basis.

    Matt2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We very much enjoyed our stay at Brenda's place. The open floorplan is nice, the beds are comfortable, and the view is great! Would like to stay again in the summer when we can take advantage of the lake!

    Sarah2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic time here. It's a great location and not far from the touristy places up north. The space was nice, clean, and overall a great place to be.

    Daniel2019-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • Brenda's home is a little slice of heaven! The views of the lake and sunrises are amazing! Beds are extremely comfortable and the living spaces are spacious but cozy. We loved all the extra bathroom supplies Brenda had available. Kitchen is nicely supplied and easy to work within. All in all, Brenda's place is quiet, relaxing and a perfect getaway spot.

    Deana2019-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here for a girls weekend during Labor Day. It was a beautiful and very clean house. We ran into no issues with the home, all the cooking things we needed were available so we grocery shopped on our way up & cooked there! Water ran clean and hot, beds were comfortable, TVs worked and the living area was spacious! We spent much of our time outside enjoying the fire pit & dock. Lake water is awesome and clean, though cold. The sunrises were spectacular, the wildlife was really awesome and we had a special treat ON Labor Day when a bald eagle landed in a tree a couple of docks down. The waterfront was so relaxing. We definitely would stay here again!

    Kara2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • The place on the lake was great for two families and young kids! The layout was great with a big open common and kitchen area. Black Lake also exceeded our expectations; it was great for swimming with it’s shallow waters and the quietness was great for boating. The sunrises were also spectacular. Would definitely stay again!

  • Host was very easy to contact and always responded quickly. House was immaculate. Location was perfect; quiet and peaceful. Excellent stay and highly recommend both Amy as a host, and her home. We will be back!

    Theresa2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • This house was spacious, cozy and very clean. Quiet location and a comfortable bed, so you will sleep well! Amy was quick to respond to answer questions and was very accommodating.

    Pamela2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • The Harrison House was clean with many amenities. We had 5 of us cousins who gathered to pull together a reunion. We enjoyed the Harrison House and it was convenient to all things we were doing. There was a complete kitchen for meals in, the living room & dining room were convenient to visit and talk. There were lots of things for children (we didn't have any). The weather wasn't agreeable so we didn't get to watch for wildlife or use the fire pit. We had an enjoyable stay.

  • Fantastic pet friendly home with a very communicative host. Great home

    Sasidhar2019-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • Amy has a lovely home, it is spacious and it was a great place to come back to after spending a day in Mackinac Island. Her home is very comfortable and it was well appointed. She has a great selection of pots and pans, dishes and cooking utensils. It was great to have 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. Amy is also quick with her communication. I highly recommend Amy's place if your looking for a wonderful home that is centrally located for day trips you are considering.

    Clara2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Our 3 generation family traveling together all thought Amy's house was perfect for us. The house, all on one level, accomodated everyone. The extras that she had for our grandson were well used (high chair, pack n play and toys). Amy available by phone for our questions. We know why Any is a super host!!

    Peg2019-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean and comfortable! Nice to be able to visit with other family members in the living room and dining area! Would highly recommend booking this for your Mackinaw visit! Amy is very helpful!!

    Kathy2019-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • Amy's place gets great reviews and mine is going to be great, too. The house is very comfortable and was easy to find. The house is well stocked with everything we needed. There were six of us and a baby and we had plenty of room. Amy even provided a pack n' play when she heard we were bringing a baby. We were close enough to go to Mackinac Island and drove up to Tahquamenon Falls as a day trip from the house, and still had plenty of comfortable relaxation time in the evenings. Amy provides a book with local restaurants and information. We had a question, and Amy responded promptly when we messaged her. We were very pleased and would definitely choose to stay here again if we were in the area!

Our lakefront home with original log interior is spacious, yet cozy and charming! Ideally located minutes south of Historic Mackinaw City, and just north of it's active waterway home of Cheboygan. This home sits just a few feet from the edge of Lake Huron offering million dollar views of Mackinac Island, the Mackinac Bridge, and amazing sunsets. After a fun-filled day, relax by your crackling fire, listen to waves gently lapping the shore, and watch as Great Lake Freighters slowly pass by.
We are a group of siblings sharing with you, the house we were raised in. The huge backyard offers plenty of play space. We have some outdoor sports equipment and are 1/4 mile from the Rails to Trails bike trails. Bring your kayaks and launch right out front. You can swim at your own risk ( as kids, we wore tennis shoes or swim shoes as the bottom is rocky). Within a few miles you will find live music in the parks & festivals throughout the year, beaches, boating/launches, fishing, hiking - Kayak, tube, and boat rentals -etc... in addition to the Historic State Parks, famous Mackinac Island via ferry, lighthouses, museums, Coast Guard tours and SO MUCH MORE!! We have compiled a book with local information, brochures/coupons, and contact numbers to assist you.
Although conveniently located to everything, this space is very private. You will have a small, quiet neighborhood with several neighbors to the east, but only breezes blowing through the trees on the west. Please observe a quieter time after dark.
  • This home was clean, comfortable, and set on a beautiful lot on Lake Huron. We stayed for only a weekend and so were not able to use the bicycles to explore but hope to on our next visit! The setting is wonderful and relaxing, everything we needed was inside!

  • Book this house for some guys for a work trip and they loved it. John and Kathy were fast to answer any questions and let the guys have a late check out. Thank you for the nice stay

    Jace2019-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • John's place was a very nice place. There was only four of us and one bedroom we didn't even touch. We had a little problem with the heater but John brought us portable heaters and first thing the next morning the heater guy was there and fixed the problem. This is a very welcoming family and a great host. Awesome place, we would stay there again if we ever get up that way again.

    Carol2019-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • The location is the best, if you like peaceful water views you will not be disappointed! Definitely recommend!!

    Katie2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • We came here for a couples' getaway with our best friends, and it was fantastic! We were able to relax in the solitude, yet it was close to everything we wanted to do. We had no issues, but our host was quick to respond after booking and leading up to our arrival. The views of the lake are outstanding, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

    Daniel2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • I cannot share how amazing John and “The Kids” were as hosts. Mom and Dad’s house was amazing. Gorgeous view of the lake as advertised. The home was clean and cozy and reminded me of my grandparents home growing up. The cost was very affordable. Check-in was easy and convenient. Communication was quick and responsive as well. The extra added touch was the home made chocolate chip cookies. Delicious. My wife and I had a wonderful time and we will definitely return in the future and look to stay here again if the opportunity presents itself.

  • Karen was a great host! We had everything we needed and she made sure we had extra privacy if we wanted it. She offered coffee in the morning even though she herself wasn't a coffee drinker, which was nice. And her dog was really sweet and adorable! I would definitely consider staying here again the next time I'm in Michigan.

  • Karen is very hospitable and I felt right at home when I arrived. She kindly greeted me and welcomed me in with open arms and invited me to join her and her sweet dog in the evenings if I desired to have company where we chatted about life. Karen gave great suggestions for activities and the location was close to several gems in the area.

  • Karen is such a kind and sweet lady. I honestly didn't expect this great hospitality. We just need a stay for the night as we were visiting the city for falls colors. And wow I was amazed when I reached her place. The room and bathroom were very clean and everything that you need was right there. I wish I could stay there more nights. And people with infants/ babies, this is the place you go to!! Karen has pack and play etc for babies too! I would definitely come back to Karen's place again. Thank you Karen for being such a lovely host ❤️❤️

    Carole2020-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • I can't say enough about Huston or her place. In town for a holiday visit with my daughter, I found the house to be unexpectedly warm and homey. Small touches speak volumes in this Airbnb, Houston has thought of everything. The place was sparkling clean, super cozy, and peppered with little glimpses into Houston's life. Houston herself was an amazing host, I couldn't have asked for better. She went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and was kind enough to ship my daughter's forgotten toys back to me, free of charge. If you're ever in Indian River, Juno is your Airbnb.

  • Connie's cabin was fabulous and we are going to stay there again. It was sparkling clean, cozy and full of fun activities. It is well positioned on a hill that leads down to the lake shore via a shore 3 minute walk. Onaway has very good restaurants. We tried 211 family dining and woodwinds restaurant. The food was terrific! Connie and her husband were very nice and respectful hosts. We really enjoyed our stay.

    Chelsea2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Connie’s place was an absolute delight! Connie was so helpful and suggested local area places to go and things to see. Andre was also a great host and made sure we were comfortable during our stay. The house was very clean and cozy with everything you needed for a wonderful, and peaceful stay. The location was also great and secluded. Great place to disconnect.

  • We had such a fabulous time at this cabin! Perfect amount of space for a family of 4, unlike a hotel. The kitchen was fully stocked and made it easy to save money by making meals there. Tons of extra towels and linens. Warming light in the bathroom was my favorite! Connie was always quick to respond and helpful with ideas for things to do in the area. So nice to curl up at night with snacks and a movie or a fire. The property was stunning. Would love to come back again! Be sure to visit Wildwinds Restaurant...awesome food and close by.

  • This cottage is awesome. It's pretty basic in terms of amenities, however, its clean and provides the essentials (hot water, a stocked kitchen, linens, and a place to sleep!). What really makes this place awesome (aside from Lee being a really nice & responsive host) is the location. You're one exit away from Mackinaw City, 10-15 min away from Wilderness State Park. The cottage comes with its on little rowboat, so you can do a little light fishing at the end of the day. It's so quiet and tucked away. It's perfect and we'll definitely be going back next year.

    Leena2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • I love these cabins! They are rustic and charming but have everything you need. There were extra pillows and blankets which is a big plus for me. • Great space, nice quiet area right near town, and Sarah's a great host! Highly recommended.

  • We stayed at Sarah’s place for a wedding weekend at the dark sky park. The house was spotless, cozy and well located for our needs. Sarah was very quick to communicate with and was able to accommodate a last minute early check in. It was winter time so Mackinaw City was pretty quiet but Cheboygan was close by and such a cute little town. Thanks for having us Sarah!

  • Pretty house with a great kitchen if you wanna cook.

    Akshaya2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • nice location, nice house, homey feel.

    Erwin2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a little gem! The location is perfect: close to town but far enough away that it is quiet, and backed up to woods for a restful back yard. The house is beautifully updated. There is space to spread out, and comfort to relax in. The furnishings are just right. Having a full kitchen is such a plus, and the laundry room is great. My one note is in regard to the mattress in the master bedroom: it seems to sag in the middle. But all in all, a wonderful place that I would go back to and recommend without reservation.

  • If you are visiting Mackinaw and looking for a super clean and stylish up to date decor residence , this is your place. You can’t go wrong with 3 very comfortable Bedrooms and 2 Bathrooms , fire pit out back as well as wIt’s a cool screened in porch. We had a great stay, with no complaints, thanks Sarah !

Large room with queen bed on main floor with access to two shared bathrooms, kitchen, and living room. Deck out back with view of scenic valley, rolling hills, and Tannery Creek. Quaint Northern Michigan downtown, shopping, rivers, lakes, beaches, dunes, parks, hiking, and biking nearby (2-3 miles). No cleaning fees and coffee/tea provided. Two rooms are available in this space.
Minutes from life in an enchanting northern town, vast dunes on the Lake Michigan shoreline, and a trail system through some of the highest and most scenic hills in Michigan, our peaceful abode is a great launching point for the up-north experience and endless outdoor adventure. Enjoy a variety of shopping and dining opportunities in downtown Petoskey, a 5 minute car ride (2.5 miles) or 15-20 on bike. While in town, take a moment to walk through the Bear River Valley Recreation Area to experience the cascading waters of one of Michigan's premier white-water paddling destinations - the Bear River has the steepest drop of any river in the Lower Peninsula in its last mile. Little Traverse Bay (the fourth largest in Lake Michigan) and Petoskey State Park with its mountainous dunes and beautiful sandy beaches are even closer, nearly visible from our back deck. North Country Trail passes within a few miles, traversing some of the arguably most breathtaking terrain in the Lower Peninsula. On top of these notable destinations, there are dozens if not hundreds of other treasures to explore in the area, including parks, nature preserves, lakes, streams, other nearby towns with charming northern character (Harbor Springs, Boyne City), and the Big Mac(kinaw Bridge) some 30 miles to the north. In between your day's activities and adventures, you can rest easy in a safe, quiet neighborhood in the picturesque Tannery Creek valley. A spacious, clean, and comfortable room with a queen bed, dresser, desk, and closet is provided on the main/upper floor of a ranch-style house. A full bathroom is located directly across the hallway, and another full bath, kitchen, and laundry room are down the hall. Check out views of the Tannery valley and surrounding hills while relaxing on the deck outback or swinging in the hammock. We have always lived with a "mi casa es su casa" approach, whether family, friends, or others. If staying as a guest, you have free reign in the house provided you are reasonable and respectful - yours to use, but not abuse. People generally consider us quite laid-back. At the same time we enjoy conversation and are perfectly willing to provide guidance regarding local activities and attractions. If you're into outdoor adventure, whether hiking, paddling, biking, etc, we can provide a LOT of input. We are often off working or playing (hiking, paddling, etc) during the day and working on house projects in the evening (remodeling, gardening, etc.). The house is at the end of a private drive, with plenty of parking. The neighborhood is very quiet, safe, and peaceful. There are many acres of natural landscape out back with wetlands, forest, hiking trails, and Tannery Creek, a small but high quality brook trout stream. Opportunities for wildlife viewing abound with great blue herons in the ponds alongside the creek, deer grazing in the meadows, and coyotes yapping in the night. Unfortunately, our little town still lacks public transit, though bikes can be rented and are suitable for getting to many of the local attractions. Walking is also an option, requiring some 45 minutes to get to downtown Petoskey and approximately the same to Little Traverse Bay and Petoskey State Park (or 15 minutes on bike). Taxi service is also available.
Very safe, quiet, and family-friendly. We have suburbia out front and wild (natural) Michigan out back.

  • Very clean place at a perfect location 10 min away from Nub or Highland skiing

    Vjeko2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Kevin and Annette are amazing hosts! They were extremely prompt in responding and allowed for a slightly early check-in as well. Our room was so nice and cozy and the bed was extremely comfortable! We had access to all the kitchen supplies which was great because we ate many meals at home. They both offered us tips of things to do in Petoskey and Downtown Petoskey was just a few minutes drive away. Boyne Mountain is only a 25 minute drive and Boyne Highlands even closer, so a great place to stay if you're planning on skiing! Our conversations with Kevin and Annette during mealtimes were a lot of fun and thanks again for a great stay!

  • This past visit was a return visit to Annette's and Kevin's. We knew they were great people with a great place and location. Everything worked out splendidly, as expected! Were glad to see these two again.

  • I have had some great Airbnb stays, but this was the most comfy I have ever been. The bed was incredibly comfortable. Kevin and Annette were great hosts. They gave me a lot of tips about the area and even helped me look for a place to live. I would definitely recommend these folks. They have a beautiful house in a great location.

  • My family and I had a great time at Jake's family cabin right on Mullet Lake. It brought back a lot of memories of the times we used to spend in Northern Michigan when my sister and I were young. We spent lots of time around the campfire and it was easy to rent a pontoon boat at the local marina to have a day out on the lake. Definitely recommend!

  • What a great place to stay while we explored northern Michigan! The home is close enough to explore Mackinaw City, Mackinac Island and even venture to the upper peninsula of Michigan, all while providing privacy and a homely atmosphere when we wanted to relax in the evening. Kara and Pete and are very down to earth people that were great from booking to check out. My wife and I will definitely stay here again if we find our way back to Michigan in the future.

  • This was such a special surprise for me! We had chosen this spot for its proximity to Mackinac Island and lower cost than hotels in Mackinaw City. The drive back and forth was hardly a chore, but it is such a neat, quiet, and beautiful spot! I was so pleased with the privacy we gained from staying here vs the city, and omg the park on Lake Huron! Breathtaking! And just a five minute walk. My kids loved it. I loved it. I'm keeping it in my back pocket for future stays on my own because I have never felt so relaxed and comfortable. I love this Airbnb so much!

  • This air bnb ended up being way better than I thought it would. Very private feeling even though there was a shop downstairs. You could avoid interacting with people if you wanted to due to the back entrance but everyone in the shop was super friendly and helpful. Everything felt recently updated, smelled and looked clean and most importantly we felt safe. I would totally recommend staying, it looked way better in person compared to the pictures online.

Shops, restaurants, Live entertainment and Sheplers Ferry Service is all within steps from our location. accommodations for two adults with one queen size bed. all brand new furnishings and re renovated surroundings. • The stay was fantastic. The location of Tiffany’s is its greatest asset. We walked a block to the bakery every morning to eat breakfast and get a picnic lunch and late night snacks as they close at 4pm. The ferry is around the corner as was our favorite eating joint- Keyhole Bar and Grill. There are so many great activities in M City and on the island and we left no stone unturned! It was great to come back to a great space and comfortable bed each night to rest up for the next day. A space you enjoyed staying in at!

    Karen2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our 3 night stay in this comfortable studio apt. There was careful attention to detail, and it was very clean. Loved the hotel quality towels! A wonderful bakery just a few doors down with delicious muffins for breakfast. Ideal location so close to the island ferry.

  • My husband and I stayed here for part of our honeymoon as we explored Mackinac Island and Tahquamenon Falls. When we arrived, everything was sparkling clean and Terry was quick to respond to any questions we may have had. We loved how close we were to the Mackinac bridge, dark sky park, fudge shops, and Shepler's (ferry to Mackinac Island). There was one afternoon where our plans got rained out, but that's okay because we enjoyed a cozy afternoon just hanging out making dinner, reading, etc. Spending some time out in the courtyard one evening inspired is to hit up the dark sky park and it was honestly one of our favorite parts of our trip. We look forward to a return trip in the future.

  • This was a beautiful place to stay in Mackinaw City. It was within walking distance of the boat docks and downtown. We enjoyed our stay very much.

  • Tiffany’s Studio was the perfect place for us to stay. It is so cute, clean and quiet!! Terry is the best host with his quick responses. He even invited us to sit around the camp fire one night with some other guest. They are wonderful people. I will stay here again when visiting and recommend it to anyone traveling in the area.

  • Terry’s place was the perfect spot for us. It is lovely, spotless, and convenient to everything. We stayed three nights and hardly used our car. Terry is responsive and incredibly friendly. You can tell he cares about his cottage and his guests. Would stay here again if we ever return to the area.

  • Terry and Jennifer were exceptional hosts. Their studio was impeccable. It was exceptionally clean, beautifully decorated ( whoever did the woodwork was a true craftsman) and within walking distance to anywhere you would want to go. We had a great time and will definately stay here again.

  • We had a wonderful time in Mackinaw City. The property was beautiful, clean, and well decorated. The location was perfect, except for a ride across the bridge, we never started the car the rest of the time. Restaurants, shopping and sights were within easy walking distance. If we come back to Mackinaw City we will have to check it out again.

Lynne is so thoughtful to leave us a welcome note and baked us a delicious cinnamon roll. This Is a beautiful Victorian House with clear views of Crooked lake. This house was built in 1914, it has 5 large bedrooms each with a private bathroom. Across US 31 is a small beach area where you have access to the lake. The lake has a sandy bottom where you can walkout forever. Behind the house is the walking/cycling path.
The house sits on US 31 so there is some road noise, but the beauty of the lake with the character of the house, large private rooms, prime location at an affordable price makes this house a "fine Stay." The location is close to Petoskey, Harbor Springs, Boyne Highlands, Nub's Knob and Petoskey State Park. You can also make fun day trips to Mackinac, Cross Village and Charlevoix. Just a perfect location. Note (weekends through March you can rent the entire house . )
Across the street is an Artesian Well. Locals stop on there way to work to fill up their drinking bottles for the day from the Natural Artesian Well.
  • Adorable house right across from the water, lovely cozy mornings with coffee and tea as well. Such a great place!

  • Wow, where do I begin?!?! We had such a lovely stay at Louisa's home! It was everything that all of the reviews say it is....Immaculate, an absolutely beautiful lake home, beautiful lake view, quiet, relaxing, I could go on and on. I've stayed in Airbnb's where I feel a little "funny" being in someone's home...but I felt like I was staying with an old friend here. It was perfect! And Louisa was so welcoming and genuine! We certainly hope - and plan - to go back when we can spend more time there and see more of the beautiful Alanson area!

    Barbara2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time in Louisa’s home. Right by a lake. Nice trail to walk on. Close to many things to do. A great price. We will be staying here again!!!

Cabin #7 - "Waugoshance" A hybrid word, combining the Anishinaabemowin word wah'goosh (fox) and the French word anse (cove). This 2 bedroom, 528 sq ft cabin is named after a nearby peninsula off the northwest coast of Michigan's lower peninsula.
This cabin sleeps 6, utilizing 2 bedrooms, each with a queen size bed and a futon in the living room. This cozy 528 sq ft cabin also includes a kitchen, living room, dinning space, bath and a spacious 9' x 6' enclosed porch overlooking the water. A perfect spot to watch the fishing boats go out with the morning sun. This Vintage Rustic cabin sitting on the shore of a beautifully serene lake, is one of a 7 cabin resort primarily designed for the camping & fishing enthusiast. This cabin was built in the late 1950's and shows every bit of that vintage character. A knotty pine interior creates an Up North camping style atmosphere. It's a little rough around the edges but holds the allure of days gone by. Whether you are looking for a home base to camp at the lake or a base camp while you explore the area’s attractions, you will enjoy this cozy cabin and all its imperfections. It does not have air-conditioning and the electrical outlets may not be conveniently located, but you will love the authentic charm. The bathroom is simple, the shower is warm and the kitchen has everything to cover your basic needs. Pets are welcome for an additional fee of $25 per night / per pet, paid at time of arrival if not otherwise paid.
  • Great little cabin, perfect for any trip to northern Michigan!

    Jacob2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Nice quiet place right on the lake

    Zachary2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed in a rusticly appointed lakeside cabin on a winter roadtrip through upper Michigan. It was a magical night looking out at the snow covered lake from our toasty warm cabin. We enjoyed the fire and the coziness. I recommend it highly to anyone who loves cabin life. Also, I was able to book last minute and Ritchie had the cabin heated for us and the lights turned on to welcome us late at night. Very thoughtful.

    Lara2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • This place is SO cute. We stayed for one night and will definitely be back. It’s so close to the water which would be perfect for a summer trip here. It was still amazing in the winter, it was heated well and extremely cozy. Ritchie was also a great host, extremely communicative and provided great recommendations.

    Lauren2020-02-07T00:00:00Z

  • Cozy cozy cozy little cabin. It was a perfect, warm place to hunker down during a chilly night. Did a puzzle, ordered pizza, and had a great night’s sleep. Thanks you, Luke!

    Nicole2020-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • The hosts went above and beyond to make us comfortable. I’ve never had a more enjoyable trip in my life. Beautiful location. Sauna is very special. All love.

    Keaten2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great place to stay for a weekend. The host was very helpful and the sauna was awesome! My boyfriend and I had a great time.

    Shannon2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • This little cabin was super cozy, quiet, very private and the perfect little winter getaway spot. The wood fire sauna was an absolute delight! We used it four times in two days, and Luke stopped by to bring more wood before we even had to ask. As some other reviewers wrote, the clearance on the loft was pretty low, but certainly no deal breaker. We highly recommend this place and would certainly stay again! Thanks again Luke and Jack!

    Kristin2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay at.

    Dave2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • The perfect weekend getaway! You don’t even need to go anywhere — the cabin is so relaxing + cozy. It heats up so fast and the wood-fired sauna was also amazing. 10/10!

    Kari2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Very enjoyable! Convenient location, though it feels secluded and private. Perfect combination.

    Libby2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot to just get away from all the hustle and bustle of life. Took a couple days to myself and enjoyed the serenity of the property and the comforts of the cabin. Sauna was just a bonus to the entire experience. Highly recommended
