  • Had such a lovely weekend here for my boyfriends birthday! The place was beautiful and the hosts were very welcoming and helpful. We will definitely be back :)

    Leah2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • I’m a big city girl so not used to the country life but Thomas and his stunning hideaway country escape could easily convert me! We spent 2 nights there for my birthday and Thomas was a fantastic host, you can tell he really puts his heart into this! Check-in was smooth and thorough, the cottage was well equipped but he’d included some extra little touches that made us feel special (his freshly baked bread is wonderful!) and he was always on hand with suggestions of things to do, takeaways or supply us with another bottle of wine! Such a helpful and pleasant guy, it really made our trip! The setting of the cottage is really beautiful (but also very private and not overlooked by other cottages) and you can take a lovely peaceful and scenic walk through the countryside before coming back to relax in the hot tub with a glass of bubbly! Thomas was busy finishing his latest addition to the hideaway which was an exclusive little spa area with sauna. It looked amazing and was the perfect finishing touch to this fabulous little retreat! I’ve already recommended the hideaway to so many friends and clients and I imagine we will be back to explore more of the area or just when we are in need of some R&R! Thank you Thomas for your hospitality!

  • We had a perfect stay at Thomas’ place. He was a great host and gave us some recommendations of local places to eat which we went to. The hideaway was perfect for a couple and our baby, just enough room and really cozy The hot tub was a great addition especially to warm up in the midst of storm ciara Very comfy bed Good location to local places of interest and the A55 to visit other areas We would definitely stay again - we can’t wait for the tropical sauna to be built

    Adella2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • Just returned from a lovely 2 night switch off from reality at The Hideaway. The place was just perfect for a surprise 30th getaway for my other half, the location was beautiful and the accommodation provided everything we needed to just relax. Luckily the storm stayed off until the day we left so we got the opportunity to make the most of the hot tub and take a walk in the local surroundings. 100% recommend! Thanks Thomas for being super helpful host 👍

    Michelle2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Thomas's was perfect from beginning to end. We went for our mini-moon, which Thomas was aware of, we were greeted with a bottle of presseco to celebrate. The accommodation was very clean, tidy and modern. It felt very homely and romantic, with all of the beautiful fairy lights. The hot tub was a lovely touch for the evenings and Thomas came and cleaned it every morning to ensure it was working at it's very best for us. He provided us with recommendations on the best places to eat and visit, and one evening surprised us with a voucher for a local restaurant and a box of chocolates for our drive home. These little touches made the trip all that more special and we will definitely be going back.

    Laura2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Thomas’ place was brilliant from start to finish! Unable to make it for check in time, Thomas was happy to accommodate a later check in and met us promptly for a speedy handover. Dinner recommendation was perfect, The Piccadilly Inn served a delicious meal and wasn’t too far. The space has everything you need, including thoughtful touches like homemade bread and milk. Everywhere was lovely and clean and the hot tub was something else! If you’re looking for a break I can’t recommend Thomas’ place enough!

    Paige2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • A very romantic stay for my boyfriend's birthday .We just chilled basically cause there was Netflix so we catched up on a few series on a massive comfy bed. It was a shame when it's foggy since I really wanted to see some stars while relaxing in a hot tub . Nice touches with bread and milk and the beautifully wrapped chocolate for our journey back home . The only issue is that it takes a while to heat up water for tea since there's those traditional kettle over the stove and the rubbish that we need to take back home with us. Other than that it was great. I totally recommend this place for a nice getaway.

  • Amazing stay at the Bothy. Such a cosy living area with the most amazing bath tub! The hot tub views were also amazing. Thomas was a great host and offered lots of local information throughout our stay. The place is perfect if you want to escape the city life for a weekend and there’s plenty of nice pubs in the area too. Would 100% visit again!

    Laura2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely amazing place to stay for a nice and romantic trip away. The bothy is really something special and believe me you will not be disappointed!! Thomas is great and deserves so much praise. Great location lovely surroundings and very local to great places to visit. I would highly recommend a pub called dinorben arms 👌

    Graham2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Stunning location, thanks to Thomas’ directions easy to find and amazing views. The property was cosy and warm with nice added touches. The bathroom is very relaxing as is the hot tub. Thomas was a great host with loads of useful tips for the local area. Overall a great stay

    Toni2020-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • We had a really amazing time at the bothy. We spent New Years Eve there too, and had an amazing night. The bothy is really clean and quaint. The bathroom was amazing, despite being accessed by leaving the property (something to bear in mind, but we had absolutely no issues with it). Robes were provided for just that! Thomas left lots of lovely touches such as stollen, fresh bread and other bits and bobs. We had 3 amazing meals at Con Amici (get a cab there so you can enjoy their cocktail bar, or collect a takeaway pizza!), the Piccadilly Inn (really great dinner) and the Glas Fryn pup for NYE which is the sister of the Dinorben Arms. Can recommend all these eateries, and they cater for lots of palettes! The tub was a delight and we could even see the town NYE fireworks from it! All round a great stay - it was an ideal couples stay. We will recommend to all our friends!

  • Wonderful warm reception upon arrival, everything was better than described, the pics do not do this beautiful place any justice, everything you need is within walking distance and our host was epic, he even threw in a cheeky bottle of wine 😁 we will be staying again as this was such a nice place to stay and the hot tub is to die for oh god, after the long drive it was beautiful just to sit and boil 😂. Overall 110% perfection, hot tub cabin and host were better than expected and would recommend this to everyone, what an epic stay thank you Howard for having us ❤️

The place was very clean and also left a bottle of wine in the fridge which was very thoughtful, had to leave early as had issues of my own but apart from that Howard’s place was great !

  • Great place to stay

    Anthony2019-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • Howard’s place is in a great location, directly across from the beach in a nice quiet area. The accommodation is a built - in wooden like chalet, cosy and intimate enough for 2 people on a short stay. We were pleasantly greeted for check-in by Howard (and his two v cute dogs) whom quickly showed us around. Our bathroom is situated downstairs in the main house, but is easily accessible and still allowed privacy for both parties. The hot tub was easy to use and clean, paired with a nice bottle of wine gifted from the host. All in all, pleasant stay.

  • Fantastic shepherds hut to stay in - probably the best one we’ve stayed in to date. Very easy to find as google maps takes you right there and the logo (on the profile pic) is on signs right up to the main gate! We headed to Liverpool after and managed to get there in really good time, so will definitely look to stay here again whilst we’re on our way up north 😊

  • Peaceful, cosy and romantic hut. It was the perfect weekend away from the city. The hut was warm and all the basic amenities were provided. We enjoyed our stay and are planning to come back. The local tips left by Laura helped us plan our dog walks & our dinner.

  • I would highly reccomend this cozy shepherd hut. Laura was a very organised and thoughtful host and had the wood burner on for our arrival which was much needed in this weather. We were also fortunate enough to receive fresh eggs which went down a treat for breakfast. The shepherd hut was very clean and had everything we needed for our short break with our dog.

Her place was a little tricky to find but she’d told one of the other guests to look out for a guy on a motorcycle and they actually drove back down the hill suspecting I was lost and helped me find the place. Equally I had my privacy but knew if I needed help it would be there. Welcoming touches were nice too. The view from here is amazing. I couldnt stop looking out of the window. • My partner and I made a last minute decision to road-trip to Snowdonia and stayed for two nights. We booked on the day; confirmation was fast and communication excellent. We found it an ideal base to drive into Snowdonia. With regard to the room itself nothing could have been better: the bed was really comfy and warm, the room temperature perfect. Breakfast was absolutely amazing and Jayne kindly made us a packed lunch to take on our adventure- such a lovely touch. We would love to stay again.

  • Jayne and Chris' house is tastefully decorated and very comfortable. They kindly invited me to share their evening meal, which was a lovely surprise. Comfortable bedroom, good shower and excellent breakfast. Jayne & Chris don't get home from work until 6pm, which might be problem for some. For me it wasn't an issue - I was walking Offa's Dyke, and although I arrived earlier I just went to the pub first. Caerwys is small, but has excellent amenities: 2 pubs, post office, café, pharmacy and convenience store. I would be very happy to stay with Jayne and Chris again.

    Pam2019-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Jayne and Chris’ at short notice and it was everything we needed. The room was well appointed and really comfortable. The cooked breakfast was delicious, Jayne really looked after us. The location is just great too, centrally located in the village with two really lovely pubs. Would definitely recommend, I hope we can stay again soon.

Geinas Farmhouse Stable Geinas Farmhouse Stable has been lovingly refurbished by the owners to provide a true romantic retreat for two. With accommodation that is light and airy and complimented by pretty pastel shades, a wonderful fully equipped kitchen and a cosy log burner with French doors leading to the patio, the cottage is ideal at any time of the year and provides a high level of comfort. Formerly the stable and having many previous uses (including housing the turkeys!), the cottage adjoins the owners Grade II listed farmhouse which dates back to 1749. Retaining much of its former character, interesting features displaying the buildings previous uses are still evident today including the stone squares in the courtyard wall used to house Beehives and a double wooded toilet in the small shed (not working), providing a fascinating glimpse of the bygone farming era. Chickens can be seen wandering the Orchard and grounds surrounding Geinas Farmhouse Stable which are bursting with fruit trees - guests are welcome to help themselves to fruit when in seasons and the chickens supply wonderfully fresh eggs (some are put in the welcome basket). Set in two acres of grounds, Geinas Farmhouse Stable sits in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty at the foot of the Clwydian Hill Range, affording lovely views that stretch across to Bodfari village with the beach just eight miles away. This delightful 'home-from-home' is a perfect retreat for a romantic break or walking holiday and is within walking distance of the local renowned pub - ideal for those seeking the hills, rivers or beach! The local area offers plenty of attractions and great days out. Enjoy exploring the Offa's Dyke National Trail (just five minute's away) and browsing the historic market towns of Denbigh (three miles by car) and Ruthin. There are an abundance of historic sites and the cottage is conveniently placed for enjoying all that Snowdonia has to offer and the historic sites and beautiful landscape of the Borderlands (including the walled City of Chester and magical Llangollen in a pretty riverside setting) to the east (forty five minutes by car). Whether you're looking for a welcoming retreat to simply relax, a base for exploring the areas many attractions or a holiday full of outdoor adventures, you are sure to want to return to Geinas Farmhouse Stable time and time again.

Our place is in the village of Rhuddlan near a 13th century church and castle, the River Clwyd, the Clwydian Hills, the beaches of Rhyl & Prestatyn, and the North Wales Expressway (A55). The peaceful, historic village has small local shops, tea rooms, pubs, restaurants and takeaways. The modern, ground floor annex is private, with its own front door, hall, bedroom with 2 single beds, bathroom with shower and small kitchenette. It is good for couples, solo adventurers and business travellers.
Across the patio from the main house, our space is a modern, self contained, ground floor annex with its own entrance. It includes a hall (with a cupboard containing a hanging rail and chest of drawers for you to use), a bedroom (with 2 single beds, desks, a chair, kettle, TV/DVD player, and a selection of DVDs and books) and a bathroom (with a shower, sink and toilet). We have recently installed a small kitchenette inside a cupboard, which includes a small fridge, toaster, microwave, crockery and cutlery, washing up materials, and an iron.
Our house is an end of terraced cottage, which was built around 1850, with an annex, which was added in 2007. It is in the peaceful, historic village of Rhuddlan, close to the 13th century church and castle, the River Clwyd and a nature reserve. The North Wales Path passes very close by. The A55 North Wales Expressway, the beaches of Rhyl and Prestatyn, the Clwydian Hills (an area of outstanding natural beauty), Offa's Dyke footpath and the Wales Coast Path are a 10 minute drive away. The towns of Conwy and Llandudno can be reached in 30 minutes, and Betws y Coed and Snowdonia can be reached in about an hour, with Snowdon itself under an hour and a half away. Rhuddlan has several pubs (some of which serve food), Chinese and Indian restaurants, a few good cafes (great for breakfast or lunch) and a variety of takeaways, including a fish and chip shop. Shops include a Spar, small Co-op (at the petrol station) and a gift shop. There is a Sainsbury's supermarket nearby. We hope your trip is for a more enjoyable reason, but if you or a relative are visiting the area for treatment at Glan Clwyd Hospital, we are just a 5 minute drive or bus ride away.
  • Excellent for access to local town, beach and entertainment. Very good communication, spotlessly clean, really peaceful accommodation. Will definitely be returning. Louisa and John are definitely deserving of their superhost status. See you again soon!

    Sarah2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • This is our third visit to Louisa & John's fabulous hideaway. The accommodation is excellent and always spotlessly clean. Louisa is a wonderful host and we highly recommend staying here.

    Julie2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Easy to get to, with parking on site. A clean, warm room with a lovely shower and cosy bed. Loved all the concert tickets on display too!

  • A second visit of 3 nights. Once again, it was clean, warm and perfect for our short stay.

    Rob2019-11-28T00:00:00Z
  • Louisa is an excellent hostess, professional and friendly. Our daughter was staying here whilst on a hospital placement and the hospitality offered by Louisa and her concern about our daughter feeling settled and safe when a long way from home did not go unnoticed by her or us (her parents) The accommodation was warm, spotlessly clean, very well equipped with mini fridge, microwave, kettle and a toaster, TV/DVD player and wi-fi. Also a wide range of DVDs and books to peruse. The area itself was pretty and quiet, high street with places to eat and some shops only 5 - 10 minute walk away. Excellent bus service to the Glan Clwyd Hospital where the placement was. We have nothing bad to say about this place. As parents of a young adult student we felt completely confident leaving our daughter here. Our daughter commented she loved the Airbnb so much she'd be really happy to come back and stay for another placement or just for a holiday. Altogether excellent. Cannot recommend highly enough.

    Stacey2019-11-22T00:00:00Z
  • I found Louisa's place perfect. Neatly tucked away in a tranquil village setting, yet walking distance to a small town with good restaurants. Will comfortably accomodate two, and I was told Louisa plans to have a small kitchenette installed. Its sparklingly clean and better than the hotel room I had in Rhyl town.

    Ruwan2019-10-22T00:00:00Z

  • Just returned from a great weekend at Russ’s house. We were 9 adults and 7 kids and the space was perfect for us. We felt very welcomed by Russ and both kids and adults enjoyed taking part in a couple of gym sessions with him. Thankful to Russ for making time for us to do that. He was always on hand if we needed anything. Great having the big table for us to all sit round and enjoy meals together. The little village is lovely. Pharmacy and post office/butcher across the street. Also a couple of pubs that looked nice but we didn’t have chance to go in. We took an afternoon trip to Colwyn Bay and enjoyed a very windy but lovely sandy beach and a hot chocolate. Good location to explore North Wales if we had more time. The lounge was a good size with a nice tv. We’d love to come back in the future. Thanks for everything!

    Becky2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great place perfect for our family reunion, ideal for groups with big kitchen and lounge and plenty of seating. Russ is a perfect and thoughtful host.

    Toby2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Well, I can only add more of the same really and confirm that this really is a delightful place to stay, made so easy and accommodating by Russ. We had a huge family group of 17 (9 adults 8 kids) and were easily accommodated with space to spare. The communal areas are huge and again fitted us all in to eat and socialise together. All the things you might need are available, from towels, bedding and extra blankets to all kinds of kitchen utensils, bathroom items, a hair dryer etc. Parking is easy and ample for the 4 cars we had between us and safety features such as baby gates were appreciated. As Russ runs his Muay Thai studio from the ground floor this was an extra amenity that we were welcome to use and the kids certainly enjoyed! Thanks Russ for making our weekend run so smoothly and for being available if needed and discretely out of the way when not :) Thoroughly recommended!

    Faye2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Had a wonderful weekend with a group of friends in Caerwys. Russ is very friendly and even went the extra mile to host a self defence class in his gym for us all, which was super fun!! The town is great, all the locals were very lovely! The location and house itself has everything you need and great value! Thanks again for having us, we will be back soon! :)

    Ella2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Russ's place was an ideal house for our large group of young people and leaders. The whole house was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The location of the property was great with the a55 a minute or two away with places like Llandudno and Liverpool within easy reach. Russ was very hospitable and helpful and ensured everything went smoothly for us. I would definitely recommend for any group with children or young people as the bottom floor is a boxing/kickboxing gym which was very popular with our Youth.

    Nathan2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Russ was very kind and welcoming. In the lead up to our stay he answered all my questions very quickly and helpfully and made the arrangements really easy for me. I was trying to arrange a big group and Russ was very understanding and flexible. The house was very good value and perfect for a big gathering. Every bedroom was very comfortable and had an en suite shower room or bathroom, which was excellent for a big group (no queueing to get ready in the morning!) The dining kitchen and the lounge both had plenty of space for a big gathering. My group had 12 at its biggest time and everyone was able to fit very comfortably with plenty more room. Russ was a helpful and lovely host. He was eager to hear any suggestions we had to improve things and was really accommodating, letting us stay longer than planned on the Sunday and giving us the chance to try out his gym for free as well! I would definitely go again and would certainly recommend this house, especially for a big gathering

    Joanna2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Russ was a great host, he made us all feel welcome and was great with the kids! 16 of us stayed for 2 nights, we had a fabulous time I’d like to thank Russ for providing a lovely clean spacious house, giving us everything that we needed and going the extra mile to help keep the 4 kids entertained in his gym. Would definitely come back. Thanks again !

    Craig2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • A fab huge house in pretty Caerwys. A very pleasant and helpful host. This house was ideal for my family- 11 of us in total!! Big telly in the lounge and all the essentials for a self catered stay. The price was so reasonable. I would recommend this house and the host if you need a place to stay in North Wales. And I would definitely stay again. Thank you Russ 👍🏻

My place is close to the Offas Dyke and Clwydian Mountains. From the breakfast bar you get stunning views of the mountains. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and families (with children).
A cosy cottage based in the foothills of the Clwydian Mountains. The cottage with its loft conversion sleeps 4, in a cosy double bed upstairs and a fun double Murphy bed downstairs. There are also extra put-me-up beds and travel cot available upon request making the accommodation available for six people plus a baby. As you enter the building you will be in the fully equipped kitchen; it has a fridge/freezer, microwave, dish washer and gas cooker. There is also a breakfast bar that looks out into a beautiful garden with stunning view of Moel Famau in the distance. The wet room is entered at the end of the kitchen and this has a fantastic rain shower. From the kitchen another door leads you into a large lounge and dining area, with comfortable sofas and stunning views over the fields to the mountains. In the lounge behind sliding doors you will find the Murphy bed fully equipped with reading lights and cosy bedding. French doors lead to a small private garden with patio area and BBQ, although this is fenced off from the main garden, this can be accessed by a small gate allowing you the opportunity to enjoy the wonderful plants and shrubs. There are loft stairs (a quirky narrow staircase) leading to a long cosy bedroom with a comfy double bed from where you can lie and look at the stars or pull down the blackout blinds for a long sleep. At the top of the stairs you will find comfy chairs and a small table where you can just sit relax and read your favourite book or one you have borrowed from the bookcase in the lounge.
We are located down a single track lane with just one set of neighbours who are lovely. There is a very low crime rate and most of the noise comes from the surrounding sheep and cows. There is however another property further down the lane so we do request that you reverse onto the drive way for your own safety so that you can then pull out onto the lane when you leave.

  • We were staying at the cottage for three nights. It is perfectly located and not far from all the beautiful spots in the national park. Jackie was always very helpful. We really enjoyed the homemade bread and jam!

    Saskia2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful tranquil cottage with everything you could possibly need! Total peace and quiet in a beautiful home, Jackie has thought of everything you might need. We arrived to an absolutely spotless home, and found Jackie had left us some fresh bread, jam, marmalade, butter and lots of other lovely little touches to make the stay even better. It’s a warm and cosy place, thank god as it was quite stormy while we were there! Beautiful views all around, friendly dogs you can play with and a super friendly cat, plus chicken down the bottom of the garden, if you want to visit them. We collected freshly laid eggs (after checking with our host that was ok), my daughter loved it. Overall, can’t recommend it enough to anyone! We are definitely going back ASAP

    Elaine2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Don’t hesitate, just click the “book it now” button at the bottom of this page! Me and my partner have been on many trips, stayed in many places, traveled lots, And I can safely say that this beautiful place has been my favourite so far and definitely a place I will be returning too. After instantly being welcomed upon a late evening arrival, we walked into the beautiful door of this beautiful house and instantly felt at home. The home is full of so many thoughtful touches such as a very detailed guide, the gift of fresh eggs (from the chickens 🐓 ) and little jar of jam, fresh butter and many more!, which instantly made us feel special and welcomed. The views are stunning, this home is stunning, our stay was stunning and we already want to return! It’s only been one day! To anybody umming and arring... Just press the book button, you will not regret it!

  • This cottage is the perfect countryside getaway! It is quaint, clean, convenient, and relaxing. I would not recommend arriving at night if you can avoid it, as getting to the cottage is a bit difficult if you can't see the surrounding scenery. Regardless, the location is wonderful and just remote enough to unplug and unwind. My friends and I had a great stay and so thoroughly enjoyed all of the thoughtful touches- especially the fresh eggs and bread!

    Emily2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a lovely weekend here, the cottage was lovely. Lots of lovely touches and thoughtful extras that made us feel really welcome. Excellent for families with young children too. • I stayed in The Roost as a solo Traveller. Straight away I felt at ease. The property is beautifully laid out and very well maintained. The surrounding area is full of natural beauty and the Old Mill Holiday Homes maintains that theme. It has a tranquil feel and relaxing, peaceful atmosphere. There is a surprisingly busy road beside the property but it does not impact on the peace of the homes. The room I stayed in was " room only" but had lots of thoughtful touches/extras. I've stayed in many B&B's and been frustrated with the tiny kettle that is awkward to fill and takes ages to boil. So full size kettle was much appreciated. The fridge enabled me to have cold drinks and store snacks which is a definite plus. There were plates and cutlery which is also a first for me. Liz has obviously used her own experiences to ensure her guests have as perfect as possible stay. I only met Liz briefly when she made sure all was ok but she sent messages and replied to mine very quickly. I also knew she was there if I needed her. There is lots to see and do locally within 15-20 minute drive. It's also easy to get to Chester, Liverpool, Rhyl and Conway. The whole of North Wales coast can be explored easily. I can recommend I walk up Moel Famau for the views alone. All in all I had a lovely stay at The Roost. I was busy but came away feeling refreshed. I can highly recommend the property and will hopefully be back

  • Had a wonderful 2 night stay at Gavins place. Gavin and Nicky were very accommodating. Firstly, having just finished the adjoining property, Gavin suggested we have that one instead as the sofa bed was slightly bigger so our 2 children would be more comfortable. As we were the first people to stay in the property, there was a slight glitch with the TV, however Gavin immediately attended to fix the problem. The accommodation itself is finished to a high standard. Beds super comfortable and the hot tub was particularly enjoyable having just been walking in the windy weather. Would definitely recommend and will be booking again.

    Tony2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Just got back from a wonderful weekend at this Caravan - and we have already booked our return! The place was spotless and very comfortable and spacious. Could not fault anything. Karen was a great host and made the last minute booking process a doddle and stress free. The site itself is peaceful and in a great location...short walks to shops and beach. The caravan is on a corner plot, centre of the park and has much more room around it than most of the others. Also very close to the launderette should you need it. The shower is a great size, new tv that works well and great little kitchen with everything you need - we cooked several meals without a bother. All in all a really lovely weekend and can’t wait to return in November. Thanks Karen and also to Sally and Maurice for stress free arrival and departure. 5*****

  • Nanette gave us excellent directions to find the place then came out and showed us where to park. The heating and lights were on for us and there was milk for tea and yogurt for breakfast. Nanette was very welcoming and extremely accommodating! Great space, especially for the price!

    Valerie2020-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • Nanette and Ian have been super hosts Great communication prior and during stay The hideaway was a pleasure to stay at, lots of little surprises inc welsh cakes, milk , yoghurts, tea ,coffee ,sugar ,toiletries....not expected at all but very much appreciated As I was travelling for work this place offered home from home comfort. The shower is nice and powerful. I was gutted to find I’d left my hot water bottle at home but as I fell into bed after a long night shift I was pleasantly surprised to find an electric blanket 🤗 Although I didn’t need to use it as I had prepared all my meals for my four night shifts I did see a slow cooker which would be perfect for a nice hot meal after exploring the local walks I wasn’t able to explore the local area but there was lots of info for walks and places to eat so I will definitely book again for a weekend exploring with the hubby👍 I don’t think there isn’t anything Nanette and Ian haven’t thought of to make your stay and enjoyable and comfortable one Thank you 😊🙏

We can also definitely recommend the village pub (Eagle & Child...five minutes walk up the ginnel by the chapel) - a proper village pub with lots of friendly folk and decent food and drink.

  • I arrived on a cold blustery day, to a spotless, warm, comfortable, modern and beautifully presented apartment. The whole apartment was exceptionally well equipped. The bedroom had a very comfortable bed and very good quality bedlinen. The bathroom had a roomy shower cubicle with lots of hot water. The kitchen was equipped to make a snack or cook a full meal. The contents of breakfast made a good start to the day. The living room was west facing with floor-to-ceiling French doors giving access to a table and chairs outside for more clement weather. Wi-Fi strength was very good. Plugs were easily accessible with a USB socket. The apartment is in a very quiet location but very close to the High Street and access to local walking paths. The wide street is a safe place to park, and it is possible to visit many attractions from Chester in the east to Llandudno, Anglesey and the Conway Valley to the west in less than an hour by car or train. A wonderful find that I would recommend without reservation.

  • My husband and I had a lovely 1 night stay here. Excellent value for money, beautiful space with everything you'd need plus more. For a small space it was very spacious and very homely. The bed was really comfy and the shower was amazing. The little extra touches were not expected like chocolates, milk, bread, teas and coffees. Celsa greeted us on arrival and showed us around the property and made it clear she was there if we needed anything. Would definitely recommend.

  • Photos really don't do this space justice! We were here as my dad was in hospital, I know the area well and we needed a bolt hole to destress at the end of a day - this was perfect. Very clean, very warm (and it was cold outside), a very comfortable bed with nice bedding and towels. a good shower and lovely breakfast provisions. It was wonderfully quiet. We only met Celsa who was simply lovely, she showed us how things worked and it was clear if we needed anything we just needed to ask, and then we were given complete privacy (which is what we wanted). My being gay and with my wife was clearly not an issue (it shouldn't be anywhere but sadly there are still places) and if I had been travelling by myself I would have felt totally safe. I would definitely stay again. Thank you Celsa. 🧡
