  • We are weekend warriors, trying to take small trips around michigan on the weekends. This weekend just so happened to be my husbands birthday, and he chose this cabin and I could not have been more pleased with the location, cleanliness or the hospitality Ritchies Airbnb offered us. We will DEFINITELY be coming back in the summer to enjoy the same scenery we saw this weekend. Thank you again!!

  • I absolutely loved this place! One of the most memorable air-bnbs I’ve ever stayed in. Great Lake view, stylish western-style cabins. Ritchie is very lovely and hospitable. Makes me wish I could stay for a week!

  • The location of this place is just perfect. Open the back door and you are few steps away from the lake. If you are looking for a lake gateway this is it !!! Also Ritchie is a great host and very responsive.

  • The cabin was adorable and we had everything we needed!

    Krystina2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin was just what we needed for our weekend up north! Ritchie was a great host, there if you needed but not overbearing. We accidentally blew a fuse and he was quick to help out! The cabin was cute, clean, and comfortable. Beautiful place on a beautiful lake! Highly recommend.

    Grace2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was super cozy & clean. Nice & warm. Perfect size for me, my husband & our pup. We enjoyed ice fishing & caught lots of perch. The lake is right in the back yard which was so nice. It’s shallow so the ice was nice & safe. 13inches!! People were driving on it. The marina down the street had bait for us. Richie went above & beyond for us. Including staying up late to greet us Friday & warming the cabin up for us. We absolutely loved walking to the little dinner down the road. Everything was so good. We ended up going back for dessert. We’re looking forward to our next stay on Paradise.

  • Ritchie was easy to contact and work with. Will be visiting again in the summer.

  • Perfect cozy cabin to stay. It was a nice experience even though the weather was cold and with some snow. Ritchie was very friendly and explained us everything about the cabin and also things to do and eat around the area. I will come back.

  • Looking for a quiet place to unwind for a few days? This is it! Will definitely be back.

    Ben2019-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • Adorable little cabin. Perfect view of the lake. Exactly as described, one room but had everything we needed for our several days there. Easy check in, he let us know a couple places to eat that were within walking distance. We were able to cook several meals there as there were pans, fridge, microwave, stove and keurig. Would definately come back another time.

    Shannon2019-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was perfect for my weekend in the area. Enjoyed the lake and sunrise right out the front door, don’t miss the Sturgeon Bay sunsets, pizza at Clyde’s Place was fantastic. The cabin is just right for one or two people and very clean. I would definitely stay again.

    Sherry2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Ritchie was an absolutely fantastic host. The place was clean and cute, the wifi worked very well, and the location was beautiful. He is knowledgeable about local places and was always close by. I recommend this to anyone going up north!

    Will2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Ritchie a great host. We were able to find the cabin with no difficulty. The cabin was clean, comfortable and cozy. A great location, we enjoyed all the fun and beauty surrounding Carp Lake.

    Sherri2019-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • Ritchie and his cabins were really wonderful! Cabin 2 is teeny tiny, but very sweet rustic and just feet away from the beautiful lakeshore. We were running several hours late, but Ritchie was very kind about it and waiting for us when we arrived. He helped us to jump start our fire with his torch and later showed us around some of the other cabins. Great location with lots of beautiful parks and trails nearby. So mice to be able to bring our dog and we cooked most of our meals in the kitchen or over the fire. We would love to come back and visit!

    Emily2019-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • Richie was a great host who was very helpful and right on the spot to answer any questions or offered help with any needs. The place has nostalgic charm and can be used as a base to travel other places or would be fun just to stay there relax and enjoy the lake was very serene. What is centrally located to visit many spots in the U P or the mitten. We will return in the future. I can recommend this place most definitely.

  • Robert and Barb have exceeded our expectations with their quaint, beautiful carriage house. Cleanliness and hospitality was perfect and Robert gave some great suggestions for dinner. We would love to return!

    Sara2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • The carriage house is such a special place! Tucked back in the woods, it offers lots of privacy and is surrounded by nature. The interior is beautiful, clean, nicely decorated, with a peaceful vibe. It was a fabulous place to chill with my sister for the weekend. We walked the quiet streets one morning and enjoyed the picturesque area. It's close to Petoskey and Charlevoix. We really enjoyed the Bose bluetooth speaker and the fact that there wasn't a tv. We spent our evenings putting together puzzles while listening to music. Such a special place! Thank you, Ham and Barb, for sharing your amazing property with us!

    Kristen2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • This place is more amazing than expected from the pictures and reviews. It is absolutely beautiful inside and out with many personal touches. Warm, thick towels, king size bed, and high end kitchen make it incredible. A keurig in the kitchen AND a regular coffee maker were nice touches. The owners are so friendly and quick to respond. Water front is beautiful and easily accessible. There is a great boat ramp within a short drive. We enjoyed our stay and plan to return. We would recommend this place to anyone.

    Tina2019-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at the Carriage House. Everything was very clean, well organized, and comfortable. Wish we could have stayed more than one night :)

    Scott2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice location for exploring the northern part of lower Michigan. We visited Wilderness State Park and Petoskey. The carriage house is across from a lake which you can access from a dock. It’s a pretty and peaceful area. The space has quality cookware, towels, and linens, comfortable bed and furniture, and extras, like puzzles, games, books, and bottled water. The hosts were kind and available if needed.

  • Karen was a great host! We had everything we needed and she made sure we had extra privacy if we wanted it. She offered coffee in the morning even though she herself wasn't a coffee drinker, which was nice. And her dog was really sweet and adorable! I would definitely consider staying here again the next time I'm in Michigan.

  • Karen is very hospitable and I felt right at home when I arrived. She kindly greeted me and welcomed me in with open arms and invited me to join her and her sweet dog in the evenings if I desired to have company where we chatted about life. Karen gave great suggestions for activities and the location was close to several gems in the area.

  • Karen is such a kind and sweet lady. I honestly didn't expect this great hospitality. We just need a stay for the night as we were visiting the city for falls colors. And wow I was amazed when I reached her place. The room and bathroom were very clean and everything that you need was right there. I wish I could stay there more nights. And people with infants/ babies, this is the place you go to!! Karen has pack and play etc for babies too! I would definitely come back to Karen's place again. Thank you Karen for being such a lovely host ❤️❤️

  • Nice quiet place right on the lake

    Zachary2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed in a rusticly appointed lakeside cabin on a winter roadtrip through upper Michigan. It was a magical night looking out at the snow covered lake from our toasty warm cabin. We enjoyed the fire and the coziness. I recommend it highly to anyone who loves cabin life. Also, I was able to book last minute and Ritchie had the cabin heated for us and the lights turned on to welcome us late at night. Very thoughtful.

    Lara2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • This place is SO cute. We stayed for one night and will definitely be back. It’s so close to the water which would be perfect for a summer trip here. It was still amazing in the winter, it was heated well and extremely cozy. Ritchie was also a great host, extremely communicative and provided great recommendations.

Comfortable small room in quiet safe neighborhood 2.5 miles east of downtown Petoskey. On main floor with queen bed and access to two shared bathrooms, kitchen, and living room. Deck out back with gorgeous view of Tannery Creek Valley and ski hills across the bay. We provide coffee and tea. No cleaning fees. Two rooms are offered in this space.
Near downtown (2.5 miles), but has the rural country feel with forests, brook trout stream, extensive wetland complex, and valley with rolling hills out back.
VERY safe, family-friendly, quiet neighborhood at the end of a private drive. Suburbia out front, Northern Michigan wildlands out back.
  • Such a wonderful experience! Price was perfect, location was great, and they were such lovely people. Private bedroom to myself, bathroom directly across the hall was to myself as well (no other guests at the time). Let me come and go as I needed. Was a really nice feature being able to use the kitchen and fridge. Just to be able to store some food and make coffee in the morning made me feel like I was at home or at a friends house. I didn’t feel like a ‘stranger’ at all. Sat and chatted with Annette for about 2.5 hours when I first got there and shared a beer. 10/10 would stay here again if I’m in the Petosky area! Thank you two so much! Cheers!

  • Kevin and Annette were so hospitable. I really enjoyed our conversations, and they also helped me learn quite a bit about the area. The room was very comfortable (great bed!) and private. They responded promptly to messages and communicated clearly re: directions and check in. They have my full recommendation, and I hope to stay with them again soon!

  • Their home is in a country setting down a shared road with a half dozen neighbors. I was trusted to help myself and make myself at home. The countryside cuddled me with its comforting silence and deep darkness at night. I slept like a baby. Fresh smells of coffee percolated me awake in the mornings. Both Annette and Kevin are outdoor enthusiasts and are knowledgeable resources for everything Nature. They are world travelers and wonderful people to get to know. My stay there was a perfect blend of inclusiveness and privacy.

  • We were so impressed with the cleanliness of this home. It is adorable and cozy. We would come again when we visit the area!

  • I can't say enough about Huston or her place. In town for a holiday visit with my daughter, I found the house to be unexpectedly warm and homey. Small touches speak volumes in this Airbnb, Houston has thought of everything. The place was sparkling clean, super cozy, and peppered with little glimpses into Houston's life. Houston herself was an amazing host, I couldn't have asked for better. She went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and was kind enough to ship my daughter's forgotten toys back to me, free of charge. If you're ever in Indian River, Juno is your Airbnb.

This Is a beautiful Victorian House with clear views of Crooked lake. This house was built in 1914, it has 5 large bedrooms each with a private bathroom. Across US 31 is a small beach area where you have access to the lake. The lake has a sandy bottom where you can walkout forever. Behind the house is the walking/cycling path.
The house sits on US 31 so there is some road noise, but the beauty of the lake with the character of the house, large private rooms, prime location at an affordable price makes this house a "fine Stay." The location is close to Petoskey, Harbor Springs, Boyne Highlands, Nub's Knob and Petoskey State Park. You can also make fun day trips to Mackinac, Cross Village and Charlevoix. Just a perfect location. Note (weekends through March you can rent the entire house . )
Across the street is an Artesian Well. Locals stop on there way to work to fill up their drinking bottles for the day from the Natural Artesian Well.
  • Adorable house right across from the water, lovely cozy mornings with coffee and tea as well. Such a great place!

  • Wow, where do I begin?!?! We had such a lovely stay at Louisa's home! It was everything that all of the reviews say it is....Immaculate, an absolutely beautiful lake home, beautiful lake view, quiet, relaxing, I could go on and on. I've stayed in Airbnb's where I feel a little "funny" being in someone's home...but I felt like I was staying with an old friend here. It was perfect! And Louisa was so welcoming and genuine! We certainly hope - and plan - to go back when we can spend more time there and see more of the beautiful Alanson area!

    Barbara2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time in Louisa’s home. Right by a lake. Nice trail to walk on. Close to many things to do. A great price. We will be staying here again!!!

"Tiny home" in the heart of downtown Petoskey. Tucked away in a quiet enclave, just one block off of our historic main street, this little cottage is waiting to enchant you. Small and cozy with a gas burning fireplace, this home is just steps from gourmet restaurants, laid back beer gardens, cozy pubs, quaint coffee shops, and fabulous shopping. Petoskey is known for its picturesque sunsets and unbeatable outdoor year-round recreation. We love living here and would love to be your hosts!
Please note that this house is near offices and other apartments. Please be respectful with regards to noise etc. Parking for one car is in the driveway in front of the house.
My husband and I both grew up in Petoskey and returned over a decade ago to raise our children here. We love the town, outdoor recreation and beauty of the area. We would be happy to recommend trails, restaurants and favorite outings!
  • My wife and I had never stayed in a Tiny House and the location is within walking distance of beautiful downtown Petoskey. So we took a chance - excellent experience! The house is well designed and well implemented. The modern bathroom was a very clean. We had to learn to open the couch into the bed - but we both slept well. The gas fireplace is charming and heats the room to the point that we had to turn the heat down on a cold winter evening. The coffee maker included several capsules that help start our mornings. The Tiny House includes parking - which is a nice bonus.

LOCATION! LOCATION! Enjoy the biggest lot in the resort campground with one bedroom, one full bath, kitchen and living room. Large deck, firepit and short walk to outdoor pool and clubhouse. ROOM ENOUGH FOR TWO - VERY COZY FOR SMALL FAMILY. 25 minutes south of Mackinaw City and 20 minutes north of Petoskey. Close to Indian River. Two minutes to small town of Alanson, laundromat, bakery, Marathon gas, grocery, and restaurants.
If you don't want to pack up your camping gear and pitch a tent then this is the place for you. This is a one-bedroom with kitchen, full bath, and cozy living room with nice big windows. Full-size bed with new linens and pillows. Fully-equipped kitchen has microwave, utensils, dishes, paper products and more. Foldout couch is great for young children otherwise it may comfortable for one or two adults. Large deck gives you extra room on sunny days. Free parking on-site. An 80s interior that in super shape! I've been told it looks way better on the inside and nicer than the photos. I keep it very clean and all bedding is new and bed is comfortable. Room outside to sit and barbeque. Firewood for sale on site. It is not winterized but has heat for chillier days. Refrigerator is stocked with staples like butter, ketchup, mustard, eggs, bagels or bread and ice. Coffee beans and grinder, Tea and teapot. There is a TV and DVD players for movies but no cable or satellite.
This is a camping country club that consists of mobile homes, fifth-wheels and campers. It is well-maintained and the managers are always improving and making sure properties don't get run down. It is a great place to take a stroll or ride your bike. There is a nice playground for kids and an outdoor pool, tennis courts, basketball, shuffle board and a bridged pond with goldfish and turtles. It is up on a hill and the view is very nice nearby. Some of the lots are close together others have more privacy. This place is one of Alanson's best kept secrets and people just love the atmosphere here. We just acquired this lot recently and still working on the landscaping but we didn't want to keep anyone waiting on staying in this great park this rest of summer and into our beautiful fall season.
  • This place was in a great location with a beautiful view in the fall. It was centrally locates between a few great cities. The place was clean and hospitable and was just perfect for a family of 3.

    Hilary2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Another wonderful stay at Sam and Lynn's place! We came up for a weekend in the fall and had a great time. Alanson is a great place to get some food (and some yarn), and it's quite convenient to Petoskey and Harbor Springs, as well as many Little Traverse Conservancy nature areas. The house is a great place to stay. Plenty of room for two people, but still feels very homey. All the big stuff is just right - clean, comfortable, well-stocked - and the little touches make it so pleasant to be there. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: I would absolutely stay at Sam and Lynn's place in the future.

    Pete2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • This is our 2nd time up here! We love it. Sam and Lynn are excellent hosts and we can’t wait to come back in the future.

  • Sam and Lynn are great hosts. We enjoyed our stay a lot. We will be back next summer :)

    Carol2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Sam and Lynn’s. The place was sparkling clean with everything you could need for a short stay. They were both responsive and available whenever we needed anything. They even took the time to check in on us and make sure everything was going well. We have stayed in Airbnb’s all over the world and they are some of the most hospitable hosts yet! Highly recommend.

    Megan2019-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed for a wedding in Petoskey, and though it was a drive from the bnb to Petoskey, it was well worth it, and would do it again. The property was one of the cleanest Airbnb’s I’ve ever stayed. Lynn was very responsive and check in was easy. The community felt very safe and friendly. Overall we had a great stay.

    Camille2019-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • Sam ands Lynn are great hosts! Communication was excellent and the place was even better than the listing. They've been busy upgrading the fire pit area to a finished area with patio pavers and have done lot of landscaping. It's great location with nice activities available in the park. I definitely will be looking to stay with them again.

Unplug and unwind at this Lake Michigan Beautiful Chalet. Nestled in the Wilderness State Park. Enjoy the view of the Mackinac Bridge, hear the waves splash the shore. State boat launch nearby. Lots of hiking, biking and fresh air. Located 11 miles from Mackinaw City. Day trip to Mackinac Island. Then settle in at the chalet for s'mores by the fire, stargazing and twinkle of the bridge lights. Perhaps a game of Euchre.
  • Awesome place to go to spend some quality time. Location and chalet are great . 5 stars!!!

    Juliane2019-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot for going to mackinaw island or the upper. We also went to legs inn and tunnel of trees. Very close The best part is the view of the bridge

  • What a lovely spot for our long weekend trip! The views are amazing!

    Pam2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is a short drive to Mackinaw City and made our short family trip so easy and so pleasant. We had the 3 kids in one bedroom, my husband and I in the other upstairs room and my parents stayed in the main level bedroom. The kids had a great time playing along the beach, having s’mores in the bonfire each evening, and hearing the waves as we slept. It was a great time and we were lucky to find it!

    Roxane2019-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay nice amenities fantastic property with great views of the lake and stargazing . Not to mention 20 minutes from Mackinaw City and a great view of Mackinac Bridge definitely would love to come back around fall

    Jessica2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Had a wonderful week, despite Mother Nature not cooperating and sending unseasonably cold weather and rain our way! We still managed four days of hiking in Wilderness State Park, watched Bald Eagles skim the shoreline, and thoroughly enjoyed our first trip to The Legs Inn for dinner. The cottage was well appointed for a fun time - including a large dining table for playing board games, fire pit and upper & lower decks for stargazing. We had a wonderful time & will definitely return!

    Jennifer2019-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • The chalet is an awesome little place in the wilderness. We used to have a cabin on a lake and this place very much reminded us of that place. The view is fantastic and the sounds of the water at night is very soothing. One word of caution for parents of small children, the slider doesn't have a safety bar to keep the door closed while unlocked. We improvised a solution and didn't have a problem with our little escaping.

Get away from the your busy life and really relax! Perfect, cozy spot located on Crooked Lake near adorable Petoskey and Harbor Springs both about 10 minutes away by car. There's something to do for everyone! About 30 minutes to the launch spot of the famous and amazing Mackinaw Island. Bring your boat or wave runner because there's space on our dock. Fish or swim off the dock or just sit back and enjoy the stunning scenery! It's been described as the "perfect combo of rustic and modern"!
Our cabin is a charming cozy space! It's approximately 500 sq. ft. with high ceilings and the double tall doors going out to the lake make it feel roomy. There are a group of 9 cabins in our association with very friendly owners. Also, please note we have a Kitchenette that includes a big farmhouse sink, medium size refrigerator, microwave and an induction burner with pans etc. Plus, a bbq grill on the patio. We do not have a full oven.
This area is one of the most beautiful places in the country! Stunning year around. You can really relax or head to the towns of Petosky and Harbor Springs if you want to shop, dine or walk around. Nearby is an amazing bike path that runs for miles along the water. The beach at the state park rivals any beach in the world. So much to do!
  • A wonderful cozy cabin, perfect size a couples getaway weekend

    Ben2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is perfectly located on Crooked Lake. The boat dock worked great for us as we brought our boat. We loved the cabin and especially the porch. Location could not be better. Great fishing and boating lake. The cabin is located close to good restaurants (walking distance to one) and a bait shop. We would definitely stay there again.

    Bret2019-10-06T00:00:00Z

  • Suzie was a great hostess and the cabin is very clean, cute and cozy. For a small space, it didn’t feel like we missed out on any amenities. Everything is well kept and the lake and yard were beautiful too. A great weekend get away in Northern MI.

  • It is a very nice small cabin on Crooked Lake and very restful.

    Thomas2019-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome place for myself and my little family of 3. Adorable, cozy, and a perfect spot to enjoy some much needed R&R. We rented paddle boards from windjammers and they were kind enough to even deliver and pick up for us. The lake was a perfect spot to paddle on, not a lot of boat traffic or waves. Lots to do in the area, we loved going downtown Petosky and we visited the downtown pier where we were able to see a beautiful sunset and gorgeous views of little traverse bay. 30 minutes from ferry to Mackinac City which was perfect! Our most favorite is the back patio with comfortable seating and a bonfire spot to enjoy. We would highly recommend this cabin for a small family or just a couple to enjoy. Great amenities and everything you need! We will be back!

    Danielle2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed 7-25 -- 7-30, 2019 in this quaint, sparkling clean, full of amenities cabin right on beautiful Crooked Lake. Suzanne made everything so easy and enjoyable during our stay. The bed in the bedroom was very comfortable as was the couch that could easily be transformed into a queen sleeper. I'm very glad I picked Suzanne's place to celebrate my dad's birthday and take in all of the scenes that northern Michigan has to offer during the summer season. I'd definitely recommend this place!

    Brian2019-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Such an adorable little cabin! We absolutely loved the outdoor area. We had a small issue upon arrival, but Suzanne was quick to get the issue resolved. We’ve already talked about returning!

Your evenings can be spent lakeside enjoying a fire with friends and family. Our cottage is located across the street but has a full 95' of private lake frontage with a private dock and buoy for a boat or Jet skis. Many popular attractions are located within 30 minutes of our location.
We are located halfway between Indian River and Cheboygan. There are several restaurants nearby as well as shopping in both areas. Cheboygan offers a farmers market on Saturday mornings and lots of unique shops including Bittersweet which has an eclectic selection of Up North apparel and seasonings, home gifts, oils and vinegar, skin care, wind chimes and fresh baked cookies. Definitely a shop to visit. If you are looking for a great breakfast that you do not have to cook check out The Cafe Noka located just 3 miles south of the cottage in Topinabee. Be sure to check out our guidebook located on the table when you arrive to plan your stay!
  • Super clean and cozy cottage!! I will definitely be returning next year! Amazing place.

  • My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Shelly’s place. Check in was easy and the home was sparkling clean. I’ve stayed in many airbnb’s in Nothern Michigan and this was by far the cleanest! The location is perfect- right across from the water, and in between Indian River and Cheboygan. Easy access to I75. We decided to do a lot of exploring and were able to easily drive to Petoskey, Charlevoix, and Mackinaw from the cottage. We did cook dinner twice at the home and it was well equipped with everything we needed. We would love. To stay here again

    Megan2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful location and place. Towels are not available, they are visible but locked in cabinet. Very comfortable place with lovely view.. Notebook with additional rules and requirements for your stay, such as taking garbage to the curb and stripping beds before leaving even though you are paying a generous cleaning fee.

    Dawn2019-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great place for our family and friends. Each couple had a kid under two and we had plenty of space. The house was very clean and well put together, thank you. It was actually the second thing my wife commented on when we arrived, the first was the view. The house had games and kid toys on top of being pretty well baby proofed. There was even a baby gate! The breakfast nook was awesome for mornings with small kids and the fact that it opens into the living space makes for a home-like feel. There is a fenced-in backyard which makes playing outside with little ones a lot easier. Also, when they say bring your own towels, they mean ALL TOWELS. Hand towels, Washcloths, Beach towels, bathing towels, I would also recommend bringing extra dish towels and dish rags because they will come in handy for extended stays. The host is very accommodating and allowed our friends to park their camper in the driveway which made everyone's still more enjoyable. Our host is also very quick to respond to any questions or accommodations you may have. They had wood for us to use and a nice BBQ by the beach that was perfect for charcoal grilling if that's what you prefer. Overall great experience at a great value. We all would go again and recommend.

    Tyler2019-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay at Shelly's place she was a wonderful host! She responded quickly to any questions and was very friendly. The cabin was clean and bright. We rented a pontoon boat and appreciated the mooring ball to keep it moored at. We took walks each day along the Reclaimed rail bed now called the "North Central Trail". Next time we will bring bikes to ride it.

    Aaron2019-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • This is a wonderfully updated and peaceful place nestled near woods on the water. Plenty of space with updates throughout the home. Excellent hosts to communicate with if needed. Kayaks, a charcoal grill, and a fire pit ring along with chairs are all included near the water. We certainly enjoyed our stay, again, this year! Thanks, again!

Modest two bedroom home located 6 minutes / 3 1/2 miles from Boyne Mountain. Set on a hill overlooking a river. Enjoy strolling through the woods or stay warm in the house after a long day. The house comes equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. 20 mi to Petoskey and 20 mi to Gaylord makes it a ideal location.
Very nice, clean home located on 6 + Acres. There is a beautiful tributary stream / River running right through the property. This is a spring fed river that never stops flowing. You can hear the river right from the porch.
The house is located on over 6 Acres and there are no Neighbors that you can see.
  • Super clean, easy in and out, and very close to Boyne Mountain. Nick was very quick to respond as well. Everything I could have asked for from the stay and more.

  • Great location, 5 min drive to Boyne Mountain resort for all the skiers out there. Place was clean and everything was working, full equipped Kitchen and Laundry facilities. We picked that place as it was much better priced than any other option for a family of five. Nick was very responsive and answered all our questions. Great host, would definitely stay there again.

  • My boyfriend and I stayed here when we went skiing in boyne mountain. Much cheaper than staying at the ski resorts. Nick’s place is warm and cozy, it’s a bit away from the main road but still easy enough to get to everything. Both bedrooms were super clean. Nick responded very quickly on my inquires and he prepared snacks and drinks for us. Would love to go back.

    Tracy (Wen)2019-12-07T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time at Nick’s property. It was *truly* sparkling clean, very comfortable, and equipped thoughtfully. We look forward to returning to visit our family, perhaps this winter again to ski. Thanks for a fantastic home-away-from-home!

Our house has 2 private bedrooms to choose from. They are upstairs. We are close to everything Petoskey has to offer! A soak in the clawfoot tub or a warm shower await you after a day of skiing, hiking, and shopping. We love company!
There is one bedroom to rent upstairs. You will have a choice of 2 and the bathroom is steps away. We live in the back! There is a front entrance, hooks for coats, and coffee/tea available in the dining room. We are happy to answer any questions about what to do, where to eat, and how to get around! Please let us know if you would like to rent an additional room (more than 2 people), knowing that the bathroom would be shared. Check In: 3:00 PM Check Out: 12:00 PM (noon)
We live near the lovely Petoskey library and downtown is 3 minutes away (walking). You can park here and walk to the stores, restaurants, coffee shops, and even walk to Little Traverse Bay to see magnificent sunsets, and waves crashing over the breakwall. It's wonderful in all seasons!
  • This is the second time staying at Sue’s. It was wonderful stay and always are so thoughtful. We love the location since it’s so close downtown. Can’t wait to come back again!

    Rachel2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • This was our third time to Brad and Sue’s lovely home and as always, they greeted us with warm hospitality and good conversation. We appreciate the thoughtful touches including a space heater on a timer which makes a delightfully warm and toasty bathroom on chilly mornings. We enjoy the fresh coffee and range of teas available. If you are unfamiliar with the area, they have a range of magazines and maps to peruse, and always have great recommendations for local eateries and activities. We appreciate their insight as local advocates of their wonderful community that we love to explore. Thank you, Brad and Sue!

    Erin2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Very cozy and secluded room. Made us coffee and muffins in the morning!

    Sarah2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • I travel to the Petoskey area at least once a year to ski Nubs Nob and Boyne Highlands. I have stayed at a variety of hotels and this is the first time I stayed with Airbnb in Petoskey. When I found the listing for Brad and Sue’s house I was surprised by two things. The price (literally half) of any hotel I have stayed at, and the quality of the amenities. I had the entire second floor to myself, which included my choice of two very comfortable bedrooms, a sitting area with TV/DVD, a library stocked with every DVD you could imagine and books for every reading genre. The bathroom is well appointed with a large walk-in shower and a wonderful old claw foot tub if you wanted to soak. Brad and Sue were delightful hosts. During my stay I had a chance to get to know both of them and they truly make you feel at home. Continental breakfast was in the dining room downstairs and Brad served up delicious coffee brewed in a French press. Strong, and a great way to start my day of skiing. Check in was easy. Sue kept in close contact and when I arrived I was able to use the front door and go up the stairs to the second floor. There are two bedrooms and you get to choose the one you would like. The Wi-Fi is very fast and made it easy to compute and stream. The house is situated right in downtown Petoskey just a few blocks from downtown and easy walking distance to all the restaurants and brew pubs. I would highly recommend staying with them and I look forward to another trip back!

  • This is our second time coming to Sue's place for a weekend getaway. Sue was a very kind and pleasant host. The house is located very close to Downtown Petoskey and was perfect for our weekend ski trip to Boyne Highlands, Nubs Nob, and Boyne Mountain. The space is very clean, and Sue surprised us with fresh muffins one morning. We always felt comfortable and welcome. There is construction going on in the basement and this was heard from our room, but Sue was very apologetic and accommodating. Thank you for having us!

    Anna2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place that is only blocks from downtown Petosky!

    Jared2019-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • Totally enjoyed our stay at Sue's place, the location cannot be beat, so close to downtown Petoskey shopping district. She gave us great advice on a restaurant, and we puttered around in Harbor Springs as well. The bed was comfy and there were muffins and coffee in the morning, all-round a great little run-out for us!

    Jan2019-12-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had the whole top floor to ourselves. It was private and very comfortable and an excellent getaway.

Cabin #1 - "Chickagami" A Native American word meaning “camp by the lake.” Chickagami is a fitting name for one of the first cabins built along the water here at Lakeside Cabins. At 431 sq ft, this 2 bedroom cabin is a favorite among many.
This cabin sleeps 6, utilizing 2 bedrooms, each with a queen size bed and a futon in the living room. This cozy 431 sq ft cabin also includes a kitchen, living room, dinning space, bath and a spacious 13'x7' enclosed porch overlooking the lake. A perfect area for watching the morning sunrise. This Vintage Rustic cabin sitting on the shore of a beautifully serene lake, is one of a 7 cabin resort primarily designed for the camping & fishing enthusiast. The cabin was built in the late 1920's and holds every bit of that vintage character. A knotty pine interior creates an Up North camping style atmosphere. It's a little rough around the edges but holds the allure of days gone by. Whether you are looking for a home base to camp at the lake or a base camp while you explore the area’s attractions, you will enjoy this cozy cabin and all its imperfections. It does not have air-conditioning and the electrical outlets may not be conveniently located, but you will love the authentic charm. The bathroom is simple, the shower is warm and the kitchen has everything to cover your basic needs. Pets are welcome for an additional fee of $25 per night / per pet, paid at time of arrival if not otherwise paid.

Large room with queen bed on main floor with access to two shared bathrooms, kitchen, and living room. Deck out back with view of scenic valley, rolling hills, and Tannery Creek. Quaint Northern Michigan downtown, shopping, rivers, lakes, beaches, dunes, parks, hiking, and biking nearby (2-3 miles). No cleaning fees and coffee/tea provided. Two rooms are available in this space.
Minutes from life in an enchanting northern town, vast dunes on the Lake Michigan shoreline, and a trail system through some of the highest and most scenic hills in Michigan, our peaceful abode is a great launching point for the up-north experience and endless outdoor adventure. Enjoy a variety of shopping and dining opportunities in downtown Petoskey, a 5 minute car ride (2.5 miles) or 15-20 on bike. While in town, take a moment to walk through the Bear River Valley Recreation Area to experience the cascading waters of one of Michigan's premier white-water paddling destinations - the Bear River has the steepest drop of any river in the Lower Peninsula in its last mile. Little Traverse Bay (the fourth largest in Lake Michigan) and Petoskey State Park with its mountainous dunes and beautiful sandy beaches are even closer, nearly visible from our back deck. North Country Trail passes within a few miles, traversing some of the arguably most breathtaking terrain in the Lower Peninsula. On top of these notable destinations, there are dozens if not hundreds of other treasures to explore in the area, including parks, nature preserves, lakes, streams, other nearby towns with charming northern character (Harbor Springs, Boyne City), and the Big Mac(kinaw Bridge) some 30 miles to the north. In between your day's activities and adventures, you can rest easy in a safe, quiet neighborhood in the picturesque Tannery Creek valley. A spacious, clean, and comfortable room with a queen bed, dresser, desk, and closet is provided on the main/upper floor of a ranch-style house. A full bathroom is located directly across the hallway, and another full bath, kitchen, and laundry room are down the hall. Check out views of the Tannery valley and surrounding hills while relaxing on the deck outback or swinging in the hammock. We have always lived with a "mi casa es su casa" approach, whether family, friends, or others. If staying as a guest, you have free reign in the house provided you are reasonable and respectful - yours to use, but not abuse. People generally consider us quite laid-back. At the same time we enjoy conversation and are perfectly willing to provide guidance regarding local activities and attractions. If you're into outdoor adventure, whether hiking, paddling, biking, etc, we can provide a LOT of input. We are often off working or playing (hiking, paddling, etc) during the day and working on house projects in the evening (remodeling, gardening, etc.). The house is at the end of a private drive, with plenty of parking. The neighborhood is very quiet, safe, and peaceful. There are many acres of natural landscape out back with wetlands, forest, hiking trails, and Tannery Creek, a small but high quality brook trout stream. Opportunities for wildlife viewing abound with great blue herons in the ponds alongside the creek, deer grazing in the meadows, and coyotes yapping in the night. Unfortunately, our little town still lacks public transit, though bikes can be rented and are suitable for getting to many of the local attractions. Walking is also an option, requiring some 45 minutes to get to downtown Petoskey and approximately the same to Little Traverse Bay and Petoskey State Park (or 15 minutes on bike). Taxi service is also available.
Very safe, quiet, and family-friendly. We have suburbia out front and wild (natural) Michigan out back.

  • Kevin and Annette are amazing hosts! They were extremely prompt in responding and allowed for a slightly early check-in as well. Our room was so nice and cozy and the bed was extremely comfortable! We had access to all the kitchen supplies which was great because we ate many meals at home. They both offered us tips of things to do in Petoskey and Downtown Petoskey was just a few minutes drive away. Boyne Mountain is only a 25 minute drive and Boyne Highlands even closer, so a great place to stay if you're planning on skiing! Our conversations with Kevin and Annette during mealtimes were a lot of fun and thanks again for a great stay!

Mackinac Island is a 40 minute drive and then a quick ferry.
Our guest cottage is a good option for affordable lodging. No kitchen or sitting area--just a bed and bath for a simple overnight solution. Small frig in cottage. Nice quiet acre to relax.
Close to town--a five minute bike ride gets you to the middle of quaint Harbor Springs. No close neighbors.

  • Liz's place is cute and in a quiet area. We enjoyed being able to come and go as we pleased and have a cozy place to relax in. The bed wasn't super comfy (but this depends on your mattress taste, of course), but her linens were clean and I felt very comfortable! All in all, its a great place to away for two to get away from the hustle and bustle and unwind with some wonderful views!

  • Liz’s place was very quaint and cozy and had everything you could need for a quick weekend get away. Everything was very clean. A good place if you need a place to sleep. There was no AC but because of the time of year we were there, that was not a problem at all. We would definitely come back here!
