This SHED is available to at the end of my garden overlooking the Irish Sea. A fabulous unique experience if that is what your looking for. This small space embraces the natural world, nestled in my garden, giving you views over sky & sea. Fabulous in all weathers, it is basic but certainly a glampers paradise. This magical & inspirational place, is the perfect retreat from our busy world, ideal for artists, writers, photographers, & anyone requiring a little RNR !
You have access to a private toilet/shower room which is inside the bungalow. Guests have access to basic kitchen facilities, a kettle, toaster, small fridge, & I provide a simple continental style breakfast of bread, milk, jams, tea & coffee, This is my home so I live here, but when I have guests I am mindful of your privacy. Bicycle storage is not a problem & I can store these in the bungalow. There is room for car parking at the front of the bungalow on my drive for 2 cars. When you arrive I will meet to you at the front door, after which I will give you a key to the side gate that you then use to come and go. Please keep this gate shut & locked as I have dogs that must not get out. Hightown is only three miles from Crosby beach where the famous Iron Man sculptures are on the beach.
The area I live in is so quiet, it is so relaxing, but I love it because within 30 mins I can be in the middle of Liverpool a busy busy city, one that is constantly growing and evolving into a creative and colourful place !
  • Very unusual and cool place, loved the garden and the sea view.

  • Me and my partner had the most amazing time at the Owl House. It was great opportunity to decompress, switch off our phones and have some quality time chatting in a beautiful space. Even during a storm the Owl House felt cosy and comfortable. Tracy was a great host and helped us out whenever we needed it. She recommended the Pheasant round the corner and we had some amazing vegetarian food and cocktails. We will 100% be returning soon, thanks for a. great experience.

  • Tracy’s space is simply magical, and she is the warmest host I’ve ever encountered! Her rich hospitality, tips, local connections and generous help truly shaped our entire stay in the area for the better and more memorable. It’s worth a stay at the Owl House simply to meet her and this lovely world!

  • Wow! This place is stunning. We arrived in the evening and it looked so magical with all the lights. We booked it for our anniversary and it was gorgeous in the morning watching the geese fly over the hut. Genuinely the best Airbnb I've stayed in. Tracy is lovely! She gave us plenty of recommendations and we loved walking down the beach towards Liverpool - smashing weekend!

Goose Dub Getaway is our wonderful private outbuilding within the grounds of our countryside home. The tasteful furnished private dwelling is well equipped, has a modern bathroom and kitchen Our Swedish hot tub is heated via an integral stove, a fabulous way to peacefully relax & star gaze. It is cleaned and re-filled for each guest, heated on request, your private use. No add cost You’ll love our place because of the peace, quiet & access to open land Pet friendly Continental breakfast inc
Private, spacious, self contained dwelling. Modern bathroom with walk in shower, WC, sink. Private kitchen with under counter fridge freezer, sink, combi microwave oven, single induction hob, kettle, toaster, fitted units and work top. We provide tea, coffee, filtered water and continental breakfast (bagels, butter, jam, cream cheese, fresh orange, cereals & muesli, yogurts and milk). If you have any dietary requirements please let me know and I'll cater for you. King size bed with hotel quality bedding. Smart TV, free Wi-Fi. Robes and slippers provided. Dining table, plates, cutlery and glasses provided. Access is via the driveway and car park with lovely views of our large garden, stables and paddock. We stable our 2 horses here all winter and usually at the weekend in the summer months. We have a "wood fired" hot tub that has been imported from Sweden. This is not connected to any power and is heated purely by burning wood, the only noise you will hear is the crackling of the fire (no humming of jets that you would get in an jacuzzi powered by electric and no chemicals). It is so peaceful and so many guests have said how well they have slept. The tub can be used with prior arrangement as it takes around 3 hours to heat, in summer a little less. It is a fantastic way to relax, unwind and view the stars, whatever the weather. There is an option of a free standing large umberella that we can put up in the rain, but not if it is too windy. We heat the tub to around 39, 40 degrees but you can add more wood to the fire to heat up or cool via the cold water hose, whatever your preference!! Or cool yourself down with our cold water bucket shower!! Each time the tub is used we clean, refill, heat and then will leave you in peace to enjoy the wonderful experience. You can use the tub for as long as you wish, but you will need to top up with wood yourselves. Open a bottle of wine and chill!! (Please note that use of the tub is at your own risk) There is a picnic table, chairs and bbq area behind the "Getaway" for your usage and weather permitting you can relax and enjoy the peace and quiet within our large garden. We are very dog friendly but please be aware that our horses live here in the winter and will be in the paddock during the day, Business Travellers - if you are travelling on your own please message me and I can offer a discounted price. Whilst the worries of Covid-19 are everywhere you can be assured that our property is thoroughly cleaned. You have access to open spaces and I can easily stay at a safe distance. The hot tub is also thoroughly cleaned between each guest with the addition of chlorine to offer extra protection.

  • Great place for a relaxing few days away! Peaceful, spotlessly clean space with a great host who is always willing to help. Loads of recommendations for things to do and places to eat are available which is so helpful! It was amazing to have a hot tub right outside the door too that was warm whenever we needed.

    Emily2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • This property is absolutely lovely. A perfect little gem! We only booked for one night, but wish we could have stayed longer. Sue greeted us upon arrival (along with the gorgeous and very friendly Charlie!) She showed us around the grounds and left us to settle in straight away, but was on hand should we have needed anything during our stay. The space was lovely, really well thought out and lots of little touches making it even more special. The hot tub was the highlight of our stay. Sue had it all set up and ready to go for us and we were lucky to have really decent weather all evening - Once we were in we didn't want to get out!! Everything was clean and fresh and we felt right at home from start to finish. We would love to go back again at some point! Would highly recommend this place!

    Vicky2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Adorable little getaway, it’s like a home away from home. The host was friendly and really responsive and has great attention to cleanliness and detail. The Hot tub is a great addition and is a must if you come here. Overall a great experience and I would definitely come here again! Highly recommend Sue’s place to others

  • Had a perfect weekend at Goose Dub Getaway. Thanks for the extra birthday touches. The woodfired hot tub was amazing, even during Storm Dennis! We will be highly recommending this place to friends and family. Would definitely stay again.

    Rachael2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Spent one night here as a surprise night away with my boyfriend. Beautiful location with lovely hosts Susan and Neil and especially Charlie their dog. Heating was put on for us immediately and even lit the hot tub for the evening. Was beautifully decorated inside with lots of little touches such as board-games, hot water bottles and robes and slippers. We were left to make ourselves at home but Susan was only a message away if we needed to ask anything and she always responded quickly. In the morning we weren’t rushed to check out and got to walk down and see their 3 horses who are all very friendly and cheeky! We then checked out and went to spend a day at Southport and had a nice walk on the pier. Would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to others! Thank you so much Susan and Neil x

    Kelly2020-01-30T00:00:00Z

It's Liverpool! The best city in the world. The area of Litherland/Bootle itself is nothing special, it's a little run-down and the house is smallish and on an ordinary, quiet terraced street - but it's so handy for town/beach and football. All the locals are lovely, friendly scousers! It's 10-15 minutes drive to the city centre: to park either by the John Lewis at the Q Park, or on the Kings Dock by the Liver Buildings. The nearest underground station is St. James Street. Anfield and Goodison Park are 10-15 minutes drive to the South. But give yourselves way more time than that on match days! The train going South from Bootle New Strand station (which is a 5 min drive or 20 min walk from house) takes 5/10 min to get to Sandhills station, five stops down. From Sandhills it's a 30 minute walk across to Stanley Park or take the soccer bus. Every matchday the soccer shuttle goes back and forth between the station and the stadia: it's available two hours before kick off and for fifty minutes after the match finishes. The Kings Dock has the Beatles Museum, The Echo Arena, the Liverpool Eye and the Tate Art Gallery. Over the other side of the road you can enjoy all the shopping and activities in Liverpool One including a huge John Lewis, an Odeon multiplex and the restaurants by Chavasse Park. Going from the river further up into the city is Matthew Street and The Cavern, then Lord Street shopping area up to St Georges Hall, Central Library, art and science museums, The Empire Theatre, Lime Street Station, The Philharmonic and China Town. Plus two cathedrals, one either end of Hope Street. Crosby Beach with sculptor Anthony Gormley's 'Another Place' is ten minutes away by car with a Marine Centre for windsurfing, water skiing, canoeing and sailing on Crosby Marina. Formby beach and woods is a 20 minute drive, Southport plus Pleasure Beach and Indoor Water Park is 30 mins away by car.
  • Such a fantastic host we couldn’t have asked any more of her or of the property. It is absolutely spotless and every extra touch was thought about. Will definitely be back as it’s an ideal location for us to visit family who live not far away.

  • Jennifer’s place is great, lots of space, well equipped, the house is kept very clean and is amazing value. I would highly recommend Jennifer’s place to any type of Airbnb traveler!

    James2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, spacious and clean, nice touches with food in the fridge and cupboard.

    Inge2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Despite Jennifer being away, the host in her stead, her lovely neighbour, was wonderfully friendly and dutifully accommodating. The space itself is not served justice by the pictures which don’t quite capture the serenity of the physical space. The stylistic touches and colour pairings showed a care for an attention to detail that conveys an authenticity to an experience - rather than cheap furnishing to shuttle guests through. And noticeably the pleasantry of the house’s nooks an crannies that in addition to her attention for detail in decor, gives an air of architectural choice providing an atmosphere of interest whilst being there. A single bus ride will take you to the city centre and the quiet residential neighbourhood bodes comfort to travel safely at night. A thoroughly enjoyable stay!

A beautiful house nestled in the centre of the historic village of Croston. Built in 1863, this gorgeous retreat is just opposite the village green, which is home to two popular (dog-friendly!) country pubs. There are free car parking places just across the road. The house has all the luxuries you need plus a south facing garden, perfect for soaking up the sun. I have a key box at the front door so you can arrive at any time. Any questions, please ask!
This gorgeous country cottage style dwelling is over 150 years old! With that comes gorgeous period features such as the stunning old street lamp on the front of the house. The house sits in front of the bustling village green and country pub and restaurant, the Wheatsheaf. In fact, there are many places to eat and drink within walking distance. Step out of the back of the house and take a deep breath of fresh air. The peaceful garden gets the sun all day, it's a real sun trap and sheltered from the wind. There's lots of lovely plants and flowers, perfect for a weekend away. The house has two bedrooms both with double beds. There's also a cute little sun room, a perfect area for pets.
The house is very close to lots of amenities, which I've included in my guest book (found online as part of this profile or in a house manual at the house). Walk out of the front door and there is the lovely village green. Just across the road there is: +The Wheatsheaf Pub, which has a bustling outdoor seating area for sunny days. The food is amazing, especially the baked Camembert. They serve breakfast 10am-12pm Saturday and Sunday. +Fresco Fresco, an Italian opposite the house with a restaurant/takeaway. The takeaway pizzas are freshly made in the pizza oven and are amazing. +The Nelson Pub, historical old pub with outdoor seating area. Try the secret hook and ring game, strangely addictive! On Town Road itself you can find: +The Grapes, a country restaurant serving quality food and gorgeous afternoon tea. +Thyme on the Yarrow, very cute cafe serving breakfast and lunch, the pate and cheese sharing platter is really nice. +Panshi, Indian restaurant and takeaway, try the tandoori lamb chops with onion and pepper, amazing! +Royal Bank of Scotland, cash machine just across the road from the house. Within five to ten minutes walk: +Westhead fish and chip shop, the best fish chips and peas for miles arounds, be prepared to queue but well worth the wait. Seating area outside. +Bleu Belle, lovely beauticians for all your pampering needs! +James Alexander Hair Salon, when you fancy a day off from doing a blow dry or just need a trim. +Co-op food, good selection of food basics, also there's a post office service provided at the till.
  • Fabulous location for exploring the area, the pubs opposite are fab so very central, hollys place is lovely, homely and for us the real fire and secure garden were the icing on the cake, it ticked all the boxes for not just my partner and I, but our dog too, felt completely at home!

Let us know if you would like some freshly made porridge. We cater for vegetarians, gluten free and lactose free requirements. Just let us know when you book, please.
A very quiet area, close to the town centre and walking distance to Churchtown village. There are two parks close by, The Botanic Gardens and Hesketh Park. PUBS AND RESTAURANTS AT WALKING DISTANCE There are two good restaurants nearby, THE GRAPEVINE, very popular and you will need to pre-book. The HESKETH ARMS PUB and THE BOLD PUB also offers pub food & a good choice of beers and has a lively atmosphere. There are many good restaurants in the town centre that we can recommend. TRANSPORT FACILITIES Transport to and from here is excellent; 5 minutes walk to buses into town and 7 minutes to the train station to Wigan, Manchester, the famous Lake District and beyond. Southport is well served by the rail network going to Liverpool with further links nationwide. Bikes can be transported by train and you can also hire a bicycle very cheaply for about £4 a day in the town centre, it's all flat and easy riding around this area with plenty to see. WHY COME TO SOUTHPORT? Southport is a well maintained Victorian seaside resort alongside a Promenade by a lakeside. This classic resort has beautiful Victorian and Edwardian architecture around the town. Well worth a visit is Lord Street, a tree-lined boulevard with many shops and with the newly redesigned Atkinson Arts Centre, the Wayfarer's Arcade. There are plenty of opportunities to sit outside enjoying the many pavement cafes, traditional tea rooms and restaurants. You may want to visit the Inn Beer Shop, selling more than 360 different beers from around the world - a tiny, quirky, independent bar. The town also has a very good SWIMMING POOL, CINEMA COMPLEX, THEATRES, BOWLING. BEACH A lovely place to walk, cycle or birdwatch but not to swim as the tide leaves behind vast expanses of sand and marshes. Stretching from Crosby in the south to Southport in the north, the natural coast is a beautiful expanse of beaches, pinewoods and sand dunes. Southport beach is a short walk from the town centre. BIRDWATCHING The large marshes around Southport attract huge amounts of seasonal birds and we are very well provided for with many hides and areas for bird watching in Marshside, MARTIN MERE and MERE SANDS NATURE RESERVE. The tranquil and picturesque forest and lakes of Mere Sands are very interesting and make an ideal place to walk, even if you are not a committed bird watcher. GOLF Southport is known as England's Golfing Capital, most recently hosting the OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP. There are 15 top courses which are no more than an hour's drive away and six of them are actually on Southport's doorstep. CHURCHTOWN VILLAGE is a 10 minute walk away having the great Hesketh Pub, restaurants, quaint shops and antiques. Spend an afternoon at the Botanic Gardens, listening to the Summer Band Concerts. TRANS PENNINE TRAIL CYCLE ROUTE The beginning of the trail starts at the sea mark sculpture in Southport. The trail then forms a 215 mile national route and runs from coast to coast. There are also other local trails for walking and cycling with clear leaflet guides to help you. There are BIKES FOR HIRE in the town centre. EVENTS IN SOUTHPORT Mad Dog 10k race Jazz Festival Folk Festival Star Trekk Charity Walk Food and Drink Festival Woodvale Car & Bike Rally Southport Flower Show 24 Hour Yacht Race Southport Air Show Musical Fireworks Championships EVEN MORE REASONS TO STAY HERE LIVERPOOL - Some 45 minutes by train, a must-see city. It is much easier to leave the car here and travel in by train. After winning the 'City of Culture' it has been transformed into a more sophisticated, stylish, diverse and interesting city offering everything from museums, galleries, two amazing cathedrals, Liverpool 1 fashionable Shopping Centre, the Albert Dock Waterfront, the Northern Tate Art Gallery and of course, all of the BEATLES history and the two famous FOOTBALL teams, Liverpool & Everton. RUFFORD HALL is just a short drive away, situated on part of the beautiful Leeds to Liverpool canal. Then there's the home of the GRAND NATIONAL - Aintree Racecourse, and also nearby is the atmospheric and ever-changing art installation on the beach entitled 'Another Place' by ANTONY GORMLEY. CHESTER and WIGAN PIER are also very accessible by car or train.

  • Dorothy and John are kind attentive hosts. They really care and do everything they can to ensure their guests have a wonderful stay. If you need a place to feel at home in Southport for a little while then book to stay with them. Comfortable double bed, lovely feel to the bedroom, great private bathroom and as advertised a generous delicious breakfast with lots of homemade produce! My brother and I, who hardly have small appetites, were very impressed. Perhaps best though is the style of Dorothy and John’s home. So many lovely details. If you are in Southport, for any reason, and need a place to stay. I highly recommend booking with Dorothy and John. You will be very happy you did.

Spacious, double bedroom in 3 bed terraced house in a lovely, peaceful village in Lancashire. Light, modern decor in lockable private room with access to shared bathroom and large kitchen. Clothes storage, mirror, hair dryer, bedding and towels provided. Check in/out can be flexible if agreed prior to arrival - especially on the weekends. Longer stays can be agreed - please message to arrange. Good location for access to Chorley, Wigan, Preston, Southport, Manchester and Liverpool.
Our home is well decorated with modern and fresh interiors. We welcome guests to utilise the facilities including our kitchen. We keep ourselves to ourselves but we will always be on hand to answer questions and make your stay as comfortable as possible. Please note we are getting a dog from January 2020. She is a Cavapoo and therefore is hypoallergenic as the poodle curly coat is prominent. We won't accept any guests with animals and the room will remain pet-free. Parking is on the main road, directly opposite our house, all free and plenty of space available. We have never had any problems parking here but there are several residential streets a short walk away should you prefer to be 'off-road'. Our home is in a quiet village but with plenty of things to do nearby. A couple of farmers markets, nice boutique shops and a lot of lovely pubs and restaurants both in the village and surrounding areas. It's a friendly place which why I'm sure you'll love staying here!

You will have full use of the 3 bed terrace property, including private kitchen and bathroom. There is one double bed in the master room and two chairs in one of the reception rooms. Other than that, the house is bare but homely.
There is some damp in the kitchen as shown in the photos and I am in the process of raising the funds to get this fixed. It is not as issue, you can just see some of the paint coming off the walls in patches. There is only one bed in the master room, but feel free to use more rooms if you have more people.

Mac and Jan are wonderfully friendly hosts who left us thoughtful touches and were very flexible about our arrival. I enjoyed my stay so much that I’ve extended for another two weeks! Great value for money, spotlessly clean, safe for lone female travellers and the location is quiet and relaxing. If you love dogs, you will adore little Hector, he is an absolute cutie...and has stolen the hearts of my parents! • Jonny is an easy-going and accomodating host. He has a friendly cockapoo who will happily allow you to entertain him if you so choose! The house is comfortable and warm (v important during my stay!) and has a modern bathroom with great shower, deep bath etc... The kitchen has everything you need and there's plenty of room in the fridge for your food stuffs... My room was comfortable and served me well as i was in it most of the time working on a script rewrite. However, there's a couple of comfortable communal spaces and Jonny is a friendly chap.... All in all a very pleasurable stay pretty close to town centre and good walks if you fancy...(I brought my hound with me which was also not a problem). I happily recommend Jonny's place for your stay.......

  • I was popping up to Liverpool for the weekend to see an LFC match and wanted to find somewhere simple and affordable that provided easy access to the city. Colin's spot was perfect for this! The room was bigger than expected and quite comfortable. The bus stops just steps outside the home and provides direct access to Liverpool city center. Colin was understanding about my delayed arrival due to traffic and even let me park my rental car in the driveway. He also provided a light breakfast and coffee in the mornings, which was a nice and unexpected touch. Colin is an absolute gent of a host, very easy to talk to and has interesting stories of his own travels, as well. I'll definitely stay here again the next time I'm on Merseyside!

  • Smooth check in and check out. Very peaceful stay. 👍

    Daniel2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Colin was a most warm, personable and welcoming host. He made us very welcome and his place was sparkling clean and tidy. He is well-travelled and we had some great chats about trips we’d both been on. Colin is a local Liverpool lad and there isn’t much he doesn’t know about this wonderful city. The perfect guide if you need one! Thanks for everything, Colin!

  • We stayed for one night in Colin’s home. This was in a great location to Liverpool city centre where we were spending both days with good public transport links. Colin welcomed us into his home and showed us round. His home was clean and tidy, and it’s a very good stay for a short break close to Liverpool and the coast if you wanted to spend a bit of time on the beach. Would 100% recommend.

    Shaunnah2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • It was a pleasure to be at Colin’s house! He kept contact while I was coming to Liverpool. So kind and delightful!

  • I definitely recommend a stay here. This is not designed to be a palace but it has all the necessary amenities and equipment for a comfortable stay. There are convenience shops around and a shop center not far away, the bus stop is just around the corner (Nr. 20 and 21 takes you directly to the city center bus station in about 45 minutes), security is very good, it is quiet at night and day, the staff is very friendly, the facilities are kept clean and tidy. This property is a very professional one and it allows for a perfect stay in Liverpool. I am happy that I chose to stay here, I made a good choice.

  • I stayed for 20 days and it was very good. Russ, the host, was always very attentive, always asked if everything was ok. The only negative was the cleanliness of the bathroom. Some guest dropped paper on the floor and stayed there for a few days, which shows that the bathroom was not cleaned at this time. There were refrigerators and freezers for everyone, all very organized. Really enjoyed.

Small room better suited for one guest, or two guests for one night (floor space is limited), with drinks facilities. Shared bathroom. Breakfast is included and plentiful with fruit, toast, cereals, homemade yogurt, marmalade and jams. Situated in a quiet residential area, walking distance to public transport to the town centre. Liverpool is some 50 minutes by car or direct train from the town centre. See our larger room with private bathroom at:- https://www.airbnb.co.uk/rooms/445511
VICTORIAN SEASIDE RESORT * GOLF * BIRDWATCHING * CYCLING - START OF TRANS PENNINE CYCLE ROUTE * RED SQUIRREL RESERVE * LIVERPOOL * RUFFORD OLD HALL * Hello and thanks for looking. We have two rooms, this is the smaller:- OUR GUESTS REALLY ENJOY THE BREAKFAST We make our own natural yoghurt, seasonal jams including our delicious Seville marmalade, (made only once every year when the Seville oranges arrive!) There is always a delicious range of cereals and toasted bread and fruit, all accompanied with copious amounts of tea and real cafetiere-made fresh coffee! Let us know if you would like some freshly made porridge. We cater for vegetarians, gluten free and lactose free requirements. Just let us know when you book, please. PARKING There is ample street parking and we will try to ensure that the space in front of our house is vacant for you. We can also safety store your bicycles or place your motorbike in our enclosed back garden.
Ours is just an ordinary residential area. However, it is very quiet, close to the town centre and close to Churchtown village. There are two parks close by, The Botanic Gardens and Hesketh Park. PUBS AND RESTAURANTS AT WALKING DISTANCE There is a good restaurant nearby, THE GRAPEVINE, very popular and you will need to pre-book. The HESKETH ARMS PUB, THE BOLD PUB also offers pub food & a variety of beers and has a lively atmosphere. There are many good restaurants in the town centre that we can recommend. The town also has a very good SWIMMING POOL, A FANTASTIC SPLASH POOL, CINEMA COMPLEX, THEATRES, BOWLING, FUN FAIR, MODEL RAILWAY. As in most towns around the country, Southport has suffered with the recession and many shops are now closed for business but hopefully this situation will change in the near future. GOLF Southport is known as England's Golfing Capital, hosting the 2017 OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP. There are 15 top courses which are no more than an hour's drive away and six of them are actually on Southport's doorstep. CHURCHTOWN VILLAGE is a 10 minute walk away having the lively Hesketh Pub, restaurants, quaint shops and antiques. EVENTS IN SOUTHPORT Mad Dog 10k race Jazz Festival Folk Festival Star Trekk Charity Walk Food and Drink Festival Woodvale Car & Bike Rally Southport Flower Show 24 Hour Yacht Race Southport Air Show Musical Fireworks Championships EVEN MORE REASONS TO STAY HERE LIVERPOOL - Some 50 minutes by train, a must-see city.
  • Delicious Food and Sweet Host! My friend is Indian so we had great conversations with our host. I loved making the food and she knew a ton about India so it was fun asking questions. Pushpa did not mind if I had my phone out to take pictures. This is more of a “cook together” with the host than a structured class but I loved the experience. I would come back again :)

    Madison2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful home hosted by beautiful people that provide an excellent breakfast including a choice of jams. Lovely quiet neighborhood that's just a few minutes drive off the coast. Dorothy was very welcoming making us feel at home from the off. She showed great interest in us and the quality of our stay pointing out places to visit. Overall couldn't recommend a better place to stay if you find yourself in Southport.

    Thomas2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Pushpa was such a great host. Made everyone feel so comfortable and welcome. She made sure to include us all in learning and participating in each aspect of the cooking experience. Hugs were given when we left, enough said :)

  • I have stayed at Jenny’s many times now and my reviews are all above. I can only confirm how lovely, comfortable, welcoming and thoughtfully presented and maintained Jenny’s studio is. This time I used buses to get in and out of Preston from there and it great! Easy with stops just round the corners and so so lovely to come back to. Sparkling clean, thoughtful essentials and extras, quiet, restful, beautiful, prompt and helpful communication. It’s perfect for me and I’ll go back again and again.

  • Jenny was a perfect host - both welcoming and extremely helpful. The accommodation was perfect for my needs - warm, quiet, comfortable and clean. I enjoyed my stay and it was a shame it only lasted two nights whilst I was working in the area.

  • I am now a regular at Jenny’s lovely place so there are a few reviews by me here. Clean, comfortable, with little thoughtful touches like fruit in a bowl and local honey and breakfast items in cupboard and fridge, compostable food waste bags in a basket in the bathroom together with cleaning stuff, a desk and small telly and many other little things. Stylishly furnished and thought if, it’s a small room once the bed is made out but so so lovely to leave from and come back to if, like me, you have few full on days on a postgrad course at uni. Quiet area, restful vibes. It’s perfect for me and Jenny is very responsive and helpful if needed. I’m already booked ahead of time for my next visits to Preston.

The Garden Annexe is part of our house but has its own entrance. We are five minutes walk from the centre of Ormskirk. Nearby are shops, pubs and plenty of places to eat. The Garden Annexe would be an ideal place to stay if you are visiting Edge Hill University and The West Tower, for example, is a short taxi ride away. Liverpool, Preston and Southport are easily accessible from Ormskirk.
If you stay in The Garden Annexe, you will enjoy the spacious, light and airy main room, giving access to the shower room and small but well equipped kitchenette. The Garden Annexe has its own entrance and access on to a pretty garden patio.
We live in a quiet and safe residential neighbourhood.
