Places to stay in Bonny Doon
Suspended in a fairy ring of giant redwood trees, this treehouse is the ultimate romantic retreat. This large two room suite designed by an architect has spacious decks for lounging, a living room with a skylight and a luxurious four poster king looking out over the trees. Your stay includes a "wake up tray" delivered to your hoisting basket daily, a full farm breakfast, complimentary chocolates, sparkling water and flowers. Perfect for special occasions, honeymoons, and romantic reconnections.
We have high hygiene standards at our very small 4 room BnB. In response to COVID-19, we are following best practices of increased cleaning and disinfecting of all surfaces in guest rooms and public spaces. In the treehouse, a spacious living room, mini fridge, separate bedroom and fireplace await you. Large, wraparound decks are perfect for sitting and lounging under the gigantic redwoods. We spoil you with a premium king bed and fine linens. Bathrobes and slippers are provided. Even in the cool evenings, our open air outdoor shower has plenty of hot water. The treehouse was designed by an architect, with an eye for privacy and luxury. Using the latest suspension systems (as seen on Treehouse Masters), the treehouse is more of a tree mansion, 14 feet off the ground in a giant redwood Fairy Ring. It is lit with romantic nighttime lighting. No chilldren or pets please. FlipJack Ranch is a farm to table bed and breakfast, so the included breakfasts are based on seasonal ingredients foraged on the ranch or locally. And the breakfasts are incredible! Always fruit, juice, some wonderful and different egg dish, perhaps something foraged, well crafted meats, fresh baked scones or an apple galette, homemade jams, etc. We take pride in our cuisine and delight in sharing ranch specialties with our guests. Other services available on request: Upgraded chocolates and flowers for special occassions Welcome cheese and fruit platter Ranch classes: fly fishing, canning and preserving, seasonal mushroom foraging, watercolor painting at the beach.
Very rural area with pastures and redwood forests. Do not attempt to find this on your own, call for directions in advance. Just 3 miles to Pacific Ocean Beaches, 20 minutes to the conveniences and dining of Santa Cruz. Farm markets and U-Pick Berry farms close by. Hiking trails with views of the ocean or deep exploration of the redwoods close by. Or just walk over to the local vineyard for wine tasting.
  • This is more than a treehouse. This is an escape amongst the leaves, luxury in the sky, comfort in the branches. Magical. Relaxing. Welcoming. Enchanted. I could go on and on and on, but I instead will say that our stay in the "Romantic Treehouse in the Redwoods" was perfect.

  • I highly recommend staying in the Treehouse at Flipjack Ranch. The space is really special and unique. Robin's hospitality made the weekend easy and fun. The breakfasts were delicious, her watercolor class was super fun, and the hot tub was relaxing on a cool evening. Robin even gave me some tips on catching pesky gophers that I plan to use for my garden! Would definitely return.

    Yusuf2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • The word that comes to mind is “magical”. Robin and her husband were fantastic hosts, and the only hard part about it was returning to real life afterwards. We hope to stay again someday soon!

  • We had an amazing time at Flipjack Ranch! The treehouse is beautiful and surprisingly roomy. It was peaceful falling asleep to the sound of owls and waking up to the turkeys and chickens. Robin was so kind, we loved the morning tea and coffee tray and her farm to table breakfast was so good. We enjoyed walking around her farm and exploring Santa Cruz and Davenport, which were a quick drive away. We were warm in the treehouse with the fireplace and the outdoor shower was surprisingly warm as well. Overall we loved our experience and look forward to going back soon.

  • Our stay at FlipJack Ranch was wonderful - the location, amenities, food, property were all exceptional. Robin and Teri made our stay very comfortable and were so hospitable and welcoming. The property itself, especially the treehouse, is so unique and shouldn’t be missed. We would love to come back for another visit.

  • The treehouse is a magical experience! It was clean, cozy, and private. Loved the morning coffee tray, fresh flowers, and excellent creative breakfasts. Robin and staff were so friendly and helpful! Top notch!!

  • The treehouse is magical and romantic. The location is unmatched, and the photos do not do it justice. It was so cozy, comfortable, clean, and stylish. You can tell a lot of love and care went into it. The outdoor shower was quite an experience; I really liked being able to look up into the redwood trees and breathing in the clean, crisp air. Robin, David, Terri, and everyone's hospitality at Flipjack Ranch was so warm and amazing - It truly made us feel welcomed and at ease. We had so much fun using the pulley system to bring up our coffee and tea in the morning; we loved the little touches and attention to details such as fresh flowers and unique serving cups. The farm fresh breakfast, juice, and coffee each morning at the main house was exceptional - SO good that I'm dreaming about it writing this now. In the evening, we used the hot tub at the main house, which was lovely on a cold winter night underneath the stars. During the day, we explored and hiked around the redwood trees surrounding Flipjack Ranch, and even saw some deer and other animals/critters. This was a great location and escape with Bonny Doon Beach and Santa Cruz just 10-20 minutes away by car. We wished we could stay there longer and visit again! Highly recommend you book the treehouse now - You won't regret it!

  • Wow!! The magical treehouse I dreamed of actually exists. Everything was so beautiful and thoughtfully designed. The little touches were above and beyond. And breakfast was delicious! What a dream spot :)

  • Had a wonderful stay in the cowboy room with two friends. The wood burning fireplace is super cozy. The morning coffee/tea delivery is a great way to start the day and the breakfasts Robin and Teri prepared were amazing. There's lovely redwoods around the property along with a gorgeous peacock, deer, chickens, turkeys and rabbits. The hot tub is a perfect end to a day of exploring. We took a hike near the beach and a tour of the Wilder Ranch old dairy farm. I'd suggest bringing a few snacks and drinks to store in the mini fridge. Have fun!!

  • Prepare for an ideal gateway to the redwoods around Santa Cruz with your ideal hosts. The location is perfect for anything you might do, from exploring to surrounding area to staying at Robins place enjoying the local hikes, the hottub and the pool. Also, wear your stretchy pants as the food at Robin for breakfast is exquisite. Both dishes we tried we completely new to us, and thats saying a lot how much we travel around the world. Perfect start to the day is you want to hike or maybe just take a nap. Looking forward to coming back to Robins place for future adventures.

  • We loved our stay in the Cowboy room. Rustic and very nice. We loved just enjoying our stay and reading and relaxing around the grounds and was actually a good jumping off point for me and my wife to the different areas that we wanted to explore in the Santa Cruz Mountain. The breakfast was awesome each morning and we really enjoyed having our coffee early in the morning and just enjoying our time on the patio reading our books. Very relaxing if you are just looking to get away for awhile. We recommended this place to other family members and friends already and hope to be back again sometime.

  • Our family had a wonderful stay at FlipJack Ranch. The 1880’s farmhouse was so charming. We enjoyed hiking around the grounds and our daughter especially loved checking out and feeding the animals. The hot tub was divine, and the setting couldn’t have been better-nestled in the redwoods and just a short drive to the coast. But best of all were Robin’s delicious breakfasts!! We highly recommend this beautiful spot!

    Rachel2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Wow - what a weekend. We stayed in the Cowboy Room and it was incredibly charming and romantic. It was cold and rainy while we were there, which we loved - rain on the roof with a fire blazing, cozied up. Went for a walk in the forest behind the property and saw all kinds of beautiful mushrooms, moss-covered redwoods, and banana slugs. Magical. Coffee delivered to our door (with a soft knock, no request for entry) at the time of our choosing, complete with steaming hot blueberry muffins fresh from the oven, was just the beginning. Breakfast at the communal table, with the fireplace going and beautiful views to the forest outside, was phenomenal. Two courses plus coffee and juice (freshly made quince juice one day, the most amazing apple cider next day)...a fluffy egg popover with eggs from their own hens, salad from their garden, edible flower garnishes, toast soldiers with bacon and perfectly soft-boiled eggs. Just. So. Delicious. Fun to visit their farm bunnies, chickens, turkeys, and even a friendly peacock! Lovely people, lovely place. We hope to visit again when it's warm to use the lagoon pool.

  • Robin, Teri, and David have created a truly charming place and experience! It's easy to see that they pay attention to the tiniest of details and put a lot of care into making their guests feel happy and at home.

  • Flipjack Ranch was a wonderful place for our get-away long weekend! Usually we think of B&B as bed and breakfast but in this case, we'd say it was Breakfast and Bed!! The experience was truly farm to table with fruits picked from their trees and greens foraged from the farm. The breakfasts were hearty and served us well for our 10 mile hike at the nearby Henry Cowell Redwoods and our several mile walk and picnic the next day at Pajaro Dunes. The dining room also added to the experience with the large wall of windows, beautifully decorated farm table, cozy fireplace, and resident friendly cats. In addition to many decorative touches and fresh flowers, the Cowgirl room had a comfortable king-size bed and bedding and a cozy corner fireplace. We both slept well, and after waking up refreshed , we took our morning wake-up tea (or coffee) service in our room as the mornings were a little chilly. There was a cute outdoor patio right outside, however. The whole property itself was amazing with its redwoods, other trees, farm and farm animals. Though we did go for our own short walk on our arrival day, we were unable to take advantage of the offered farm tour after breakfast as we had planned the long hike. There is a hot tub, which we didn't use (we forgot bathing suits) but the nights were so quiet and serene, we felt thoroughly relaxed just being there. Flipjack Ranch does offer other activities, such as water color painting on the beach and canning techniques, which we didn't participate in this time, but maybe someday in the future! We can't thank Robin, David, and ranch manager, Teri enough for our wonderful stay!

  • We really enjoyed our stay at Flipjack Ranch. The food was absolutely delicious and everything was well thought and executed with care. A perfect place for a weekend getaway - or a longer one :) We’ll be back!

  • My wife and I wanted to see the elephant seals at Any Nuevo and do some exploring around Santa Cruz for a few days. Flipjack Ranch was right in the middle and worked out great. The grounds are fun to explore, we met some chickens, bunnies and a peacock, and became good friends with two cats. The farm-to-table breakfasts are simply amazing. We would definitely stay here again.

  • My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time and really appreciate all of the staff at Flipjack Ranch. The hospitality was excellent, the breakfast was delicious, and Hazelnut the cat was a delight. I will highly recommend staying at Flipjack Ranch to all of my friends.

  • Cozy, warm, and private room sourrounded by redwood forest accompanied with a gourmet breakfast everyday...heaven! We enjoyed walking the grounds, visiting the animals, and sitting around the fire. The jacuzzi was perfect in the crisp air. Robin and her husband are generous and thoughtful hosts and we plan to stay again in the future.

  • We had a lovely time unwinding in the mountains surrounded by nature and creatures! Our stay was comfy and cozy and the staff was very sweet.

  • FlipJack Ranch is at the top of my list of favourite vacation spots. We've now stayed with Robin four times! You can expect a warm welcome from Robin and her staff at a very cozy and well maintained home. It's just far enough away from Santa Cruz to be quiet and feel like you've "gotten away", but close enough to be convenient for supplies/activities/etc. She's always gone above and beyond to make us feel at home, going as far as to accommodate my recently developed chemical allergies. Love the decorations they've chosen, and the hand made paintings -they bring a lot of charm to the rooms. The beds are quite comfortable and the food is delicious. I definitely recommend visiting FlipJack Ranch!

    Heather2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful experience at Robin’s place. The grounds are beautiful, the breakfast was out-of-this-world and the room was private and romantic. We would definitely book again!

Bessie is a very livable 30' Silver Streak trailer set on beautiful flat, sunny land just a stone's throw from the coast. Set at 1000' elevation just above Davenport, the climate is ideal year round. There is a full kitchen and bath although the shower and trailer are not ideal for tall guests.
Guests can enjoy dining outside or at the built-in counter indoors. Bessie is set in a sunny spot bordering a Christmas tree farm. The 10 minute drive to Davenport or the 20 minute drive to Santa Cruz is very scenic and pleasant. There is limited cell service in Bonny Doon but Bessie does have WiFi.
The space is generally very peaceful but we are in a neighborhood so you might hear kids, mowers or other equipment at times. At night coyotes and owls are common and the crows like sunrise. Occasionally the stray peacock, wild turkey or rooster can be heard in the distance. I do have a neighbor with very bright lights at night which does not impact the interior but stargazing immediately outside can be compromised.
  • Words can’t really begin to describe how much I enjoyed my stay here. The location is off the beaten path and quiet but had easy access to nearby beaches, towns, and hikes (and it is so quiet at night); the space is cozy and quaint even if it is small (it feels a lot larger when you open the shades covering the windows); I was able to prepare a few meals in the kitchen with ease and didn’t need to bring any of my own kitchen supplies; and Sophia is one of the sweetest and most generous people that I have ever had the pleasure of meeting - she offered my partner and I frittata in the morning, gave us a potted plant after we inquired about something growing near the entrance of Bessie, and offered to let us stay past check-out because no one had the space reserved after us. Beautiful Ol’ Bessie has some quirks, but Sophia left clear instructions on how to navigate these quirks. There is a shower, but it is cramped and don’t try running a sink with hot water while showering with hot water. I am definitely returning here in the future.

  • I’ve been to many Airbnbs around the world and Sophia is definitely one of the most caring and helpful hosts I’ve met. We were showered by her warm hospitality. Really appreciate all her local tips. She notified us immediately when the road was blocked by a fallen tree and made sure we knew the alternative route. Her airstream is sparkling clean, bed is warm and comfortable and she has all the amenities we needed. We had such wonderful time we would highly recommend her place to anyone.

    Elley2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Sophia has a really special and unique listing in a beautiful and quiet place. If you don’t need all the fancy amenities and want to get away for a few nights, this is a great place to do it. Close to the ocean and Santa Cruz, it’s the perfect place to set up base for a quick trip!

    Tylo2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying in Bessie! What a cool idea - I know my friends are going to go crazy when they see my pictures. Bessie was clean and well cared for - what she lacks in luxury she makes up in style and quaintness. Sophia is a lovely and attentive host - she was available for us immediately when we needed something. We can't wait to stay there again!

    Leslie2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy get away spot, perfect home base for exploring the nearby beaches and red woods

    Ashlin2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Sophia’s place was wonderful! We had a great time, and would definitely come back.

    Anuja2019-05-18T00:00:00Z
  • I really enjoyed my stay in Bessie. She is an airstream so understand that and you will have a great time. The bed was totally comfy, the towels were fluffy and Bessie was charming. Sophia left coffee, tea and treats in the galley, was very communicative, and totally respected my privacy. I can’t even articulate how lovely the property is, and I had forgotten what true silence is like. It is truly peaceful there.

If you go, do yourself a favor and leave plenty of room in your plan to just hang out and enjoy the ranch—something we wished we had done more of. Next time for sure.

  • Absolutely delightful place! Loved the location, the setting, the quiet, and all the wonderful little details — special tastes of foraged mushrooms made into ice cream, fresh flowers from the garden, visits from the local peacock, amazing food, and of course all the little furry and feathered critters. Robin and Terry are lovely, and so is this place. We will definitely be back!

    Carla2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • All good - nice person. Great host!

    John2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing find in the redwoods!!!!Thoroughly enjoyed the quiet of the trees and exploring the property which has a lot of wonderful little touches and finds. It has wonderful amenities such as a jacuzzi and a black bottom pool which was great to take a dip in at night and star gaze. The stars are what I miss the most living near a city. The breakfasts we had were superb - and Teri even served my husband and I desert first which is one of those priceless touches which we shall never forget. We will definitely be back to visit when we are up north because it’s a hidden gem in the mountains with warm and inviting hosts. And we certainly will stay longer next time we visit.

Do you like nature, trees, bird songs and a view of the night sky? Want to feel like you are far away, but only 15 minutes to Santa Cruz? This studio is surrounded by nature, 10 minutes from the beach! Clean, spacious, and fully equipped, can accommodate a small family or group of friends, has mini fridge and kitchen area. Private and beautiful, you will not want to leave! Bathroom has shower and tub. Kids, pets, and all families🌈 are welcome here. Wineries nearby 🍷
Spacious, fully equipped studio. Queen bed and separate twin sleeper sofa. Clean, light, healing space. 2 kids fit nicely on the sofa, but for 2 adults I could add a comfortable padded cot to the room to sleep 4 .
Quiet forested neighborhood. Big, beautiful properties with deer wandering the yards. Bonny Doon is just a skip from Santa Cruz proper. Up in the forest, quiet and beautiful with great privacy.
  • Cute studio with all that one needs. We arrived later than we had planned to but Arrin turned the heat on for us so that we could shower and fall into bed in comfort. I found the bed to be very comfortable and there was a delicious tea selection for the morning.

  • The place has everything you will need for a short stay. It is a bit far from the usual touristy spots in Santa Cruz but we were looking for something like this to stay away from the huge crowds on a three-day weekend. Overall, our stay at Arrin's place contributed to a lovely mini-vacation.

  • Absolutely beautiful, and so clean. It is so apparent that comfort and cleanliness are a priority for these hosts.

  • Expect no cell service closer to the location, but as long as you communicate, locating this place is easy. Host was very descriptive on directions. Place was extremely clean, private, great amenities, and great hosts. Would highly recommend this listing.

  • We only stayed for one night at Jaimi’s, but it was a very nice stay. It is a beautiful home & room in a beautiful place! We were a little warm during the night when the heating was on, but still slept well. We also enjoyed having muffins and coffee in the kitchenette the next morning while looking out at the surrounding trees.

    Jordan2020-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • Like all the reviews say, a great property to stay at. Jaimi was very welcoming and gave a lot of tips on all the local things to do.

It's a peaceful place to play and relax; walking distance to the Mount Hermon Conference Center, redwood trails and Felton downtown Only a 10 minute drive to downtown Santa Cruz, beaches, shopping, and great eclectic restaurants. Or take the local #35 Bus to Downtown Santa Cruz at the Felton Fair Shopping Center (15 min walk) GPS 60 Conference Dr. then turn left then right to my 22 Park Way . Occasionally a couch surfer airline attendant will stay over. The private guest room is unaffected.
This is a largest bedroom of a two bedroom rustic cathedral ceiling house surrounded by redwoods. The bedroom has a single bed and a futon couch, small desk, dresser, and closet; It is most comfortable for one person and a few minutes walk from the Mount Hermon Conference Center. Street parking at house. Many walking trails, Roaring Camp, Henry Cowell State Park, and downtown Felton for shopping and the Covered Bridge Park are within walking distance. Downtown Santa Cruz is a 15 min drive down Graham Hill Road.
The surrounding forest has second growth redwoods about 100 feet tall and a hundred years old. Most houses started as seasonal thin walled houses as summer getaways from the hot Central Valley. Generally it is very quiet and peaceful. Occasionally, there is laughter of young people from nearby camps.
  • What a great stop... very congenial and respectful... I will definitely stay again if I need a spot in that area...

    Vicki2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Comfortable, clean home with a beautiful location in the redwoods. Ed is a great host who will make you feel welcome.

    Matthew2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • There are a bunch of local hikes. I found it to be the perfect location that is in nature and civilization.

    Daniel2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Good for one or more guests. There is a twin bed and also a futon sofa. My (adult) daughter stayed with me one night and it was quite comfortable. Ed has lots of food he likes to share with guests. The location is hard to beat - love the redwoods.

    Mary (Aka Tara)2019-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • Ed was a great host! He offered great suggestions on places to hike and bike ride. He was very knowledgable of the town of Felton and Santa Cruz and very generous with his wealth of knowledge. He was also very accommodating to ensure your stay is above expectations. He adjusted the temperature (heater) to your comfort level, however, i was ok with no heat, so he kept it low. Thanks ED!

    Dennis2019-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • Ed was an incredible host. He’s lived an interesting life and will very willingly share it if you want to hear it. The space was very quiet, peaceful and warm. Definitely a hidden gem.

    Gabriel2019-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • Ed is a congenial host, very thoughtful and friendly. His house is cosy in the redwoods, with complete privacy in the Guest Room. He has a large selection of DVDs; we watched part of "Shogun." It's the ideal place to stay while visiting Roaring Camp Railroad. He also recommended a great little Taqueria close by. Thanks, Ed!

    Leslie2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Ed is a wonderful host. He's welcoming, hospitable, helpful, and generous. He gives you plenty of privacy but also makes himself available for conversation if you want to chat with him. The guest room is clean and tidy with a nice view out the back window. The neighborhood is very quiet and safe. There are beautiful tall redwoods all around with great hiking trails close by. And Ed's place is just a hop, skip, and a jump away from the Henry Cowell Redwoods state park! It's a great value for the money you pay to stay there.

A private, charming studio nestled in the Santa Cruz mountains and decorated with vintage furniture from the 60's. Minutes to all the wonderful hiking trails hidden in the redwoods and a short drive to the beach! There's a kitchen with a fridge, microwave, coffee/tea maker, sink, dishes/silverware, but there isn't an oven/stove. Two adults will fit, with a child, but there's only one queen bed. A pack 'n play or twin air mattress would limit walking space, but you're welcome to bring one.
Our house is located on a private road in a quiet neighborhood minutes away from downtown Ben Lomond, Henry Cowell Redwood Forest, Roaring Camp Railroads, Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, and all the other wonderful things to do in Santa Cruz!
The neighborhood is quiet and private. Because the road in front of the house is private property it gets very little traffic. You can sit on the bench swing all day without being disturbed. It's a great place to drink your morning coffee or tea :)
  • We enjoyed our two night stay at Justin’s place. The location is great and worked well for exploring Big Basin and evenings in Santa Cruz. The space is adorable and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We would definitely return on our next trip to the area!

    Ty2019-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay! The hosts went above and beyond! There was an PG&E power outage and host kept us updated. Also, gave us candles, flashlights, and generator hook up. We will be returning!

  • Justin’s place is bigger than it looks in the pictures. It’s very clean and the bed is so comfortable!! Plenty of towels provided and a full size fridge. I’d stay here again in the future!

  • Really enjoyed sitting outside on the swing and viewing the stars at night. It’s a very peaceful and relaxing place. The drive there was full of amazing views and there are several things to do around the area. My Fiancé and I chose this place because it was close to the Roaring Camp Railroads and because we wanted to explore Santa Cruz. Would definitely stay here again.

Nestled in the Santa Cruz mountains just 4 miles from the beach, 5 miles to Davenport and 9 miles from Santa Cruz (12 minutes by car) sits a magical Yurt situated in a beautiful private fenced half acre garden in Bonny Doon. Experience all that Santa Cruz has to offer then get away from the noise, traffic and bustle of the city and relax in this peaceful place.
The yurt is 450 sq.ft. of living space with multiple glass windows, wood floors and exotic Moroccan rugs. There is a sink with hot and cold water inside. This is a heated, insulated luxury accommodation . Do not mistake this for a “camping” situation. The newly constructed modern bathroom is detached but only 2 steps from the front door. Amenities include a small refrigerator, electric kettle, toaster oven, coffee maker, plates, cutlery, cups glasses, etc. A continental breakfast is available by arrangement. Snacks, teas and coffee are included. There is a small patio where you can relax and hang outside and a gas barbecue available to cook on if you wish.
2 minutes away is the Bonny Doon ecological reserve. Over 1000 acres of hiking trails including the famous “Moon rocks” (see photos). Half a mile down the road visit Beauregard vineyard and tasting room 🍷. A little further is Davenport, a scenic little town with restaurants and beaches. Also nearby, experience giant redwoods in Henry Cowell State Park, Big Basin State Park and Fall creek. Visit Wilder ranch. See the elephant seals at Año Nuevo then enjoy numerous quality Westside restaurants of every description.
  • We had a great stay! We loved the yurt and the location is great for being just outside of Santa Cruz. We would definitely stay here again!

    Michael2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Peter's place was a lovely yurt and a great space. I wouldn't say little because it is quite large. It was immaculately clean, very quiet, great place to hang out and not too far from Felton, a town which has anything you might need. One note, if you're tall, do watch your head! Even with a reminder of several bonks, my husband and I still bounced our heads a couple more times before we got it through our thick skulls that the door was not average size! Despite a few light bumps, we'd totally stay again!

    Heather2020-03-02T00:00:00Z

  • A lovely space set in a beautiful garden. You feel like you are away from the busy world in a restful romantic setting. I will come back.

    Kenza2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Peter was the consummate host, accessible and helpful. This was my first time staying in a yurt and it was fabulously cosy, filled with an amazing collection of rugs and wall hangings from Morocco and elsewhere. A perfect space for relaxing, reading and yoga. I think it is even nicer than the pictures show. The bed was comfortable with a view out to a lovely garden. Can't wait to come back in the summer when all will be in bloom and we can stargaze through the dome roof.

    Jenny2019-12-17T00:00:00Z
  • Tucked away in lovely garden under the towering Redwoods Peters yurt provides a perfect balance of a restful escape with spacious, well-appointed accommodations. We loved being so close to numerous beautiful and quiet trails and within a 15 minute drive of Santa Cruz. The rain storm one evening combined with the ultra-comfortable bed lulled us into a deeper sleep than either of us has had in years. Already looking forward to a return visit!

    Susan2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • We had a totally enjoyable 2 days in the yurt. It was clean, roomy and comfortable and met all of our expectations. Peter, the host was friendly and helpful. We will definitely be staying here again the next time we come to Santa Cruz.

This lovely, two bedroom cabin located on 2 acres in the woods is the ideal getaway. It comfortably fits 4-5 and includes a gas-lit stove and full bath/kitchen and library/art studio. Enjoy our goats, chickens and hiking in the mystical forest.
Includes one queen bed, one king bed and a pull out couch. Gas-lit stove is the ONLY source of heat and adds to the ambiance. Enjoy a cup of coffee on the back or front porches. Full kitchen/bath as well as laundry. No cell phone, or TV, land line is emergency only but does include full internet/wifi service. No smoking.
Private neighborhood in the Santa Cruz mountains. It's a bit rural, but very quiet and still close to many hiking and mountain bike trails as well as two wineries. Several surf breaks are within 20 minutes. Ideal for a quiet getaway or artists retreat. Perfect location for day trips: 1 hour to Monterey and Carmel, 1 1/2 hours to San Francisco.
  • I cannot recommend this rental enough. It was comfortable and cozy and one of the best Airbnbs I have rented. It was the perfect hub for our many day trips and excursions to nearby parks (Big Basin, Henry Cowell, Wilder Ranch, etc.). The location was perfect for our needs (close enough to the sights we wanted to see but in a rural and peaceful area). Our host provided everything we needed to be comfortable and the property itself was gorgeous.

    Leah2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Unique place in the mountains of California... winding roads that are crazy at night! Near the beautiful Henry Cowell Redwoods Park. Nicole was super helpful in answering questions. Comfy beds, kitchen had just what we needed for making breakfast & dinner, loved meeting the goats, chickens and the doggy, Evelyn. Perfect for 5 of us for two nights. Loved being here!

    Janine2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Big Trees Cabin is a lovely relaxing space in a beautiful location. Lots of character and nice touches around the place, we loved going for walks, feeding the goats etc, the cabin has everything you need and is really comfortable. Our host gave good info and kept in touch etc so thumbs up all round from my family !

    Sally2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Nicole was an exceptional host, and the cabin in the redwoods was absolutely lovely. We happened to stay during a weekend of intense wind storm activity during which the entire mountain lost power. The gas stove in the cabin kept us warm and cozy, and we had a great home base from which to explore the area. Beaches, hiking and other activities are just minutes away, but the cabin makes you feel like you are really away from the hubbub of daily busy-ness. The goats were a hit with my youngest daughter, and the cozy reading book thrilled my oldest. We had a fantastic stay, and will definitely be back!

    Molly2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Most charming cabin in the redwoods! Very quiet, peaceful, cozy and has everything for a comfortable stay. Would love to visit again!

    Uliana2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is an beautiful place and the scenery is awesome. Phone connection is not the best in the woods but not an dealbreaker. Nicole was respectful and responsive our whole 1 week stay. Keep being awesome Nicole.

    Richard2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • Big Trees Cabin was even more awesome than my wife and I were expecting, and we were expecting it to be pretty awesome!! No pictures can capture the magic forest atmosphere, the morning crows of the rooster, the redwoods right down the road, the forest-embedded towns, etc. The cabin itself was not just rustic & magical but immaculate, user-friendly and stocked with all the amenities. Nicole was great - on call, let us be. The only downside was having to return to our regular lives at the end of the week!!!

    David2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Big Trees cabin. As advertised, it is up a windy road in the mountains. We had no trouble with GPS on the way there and there is wifi in the cabin. The cabin is very cosy with a gas stove and space heaters. It is 30 minutes from Big Basin state park, 30 minutes from the Santa Cruz shore and 60 minutes from San Jose. Lots to do and see.

Charming garden guest suite with private entrance & patio, located down the street from Henry Cowell State Park and Felton Downtown with great freeway access and only minutes from the beach and hiking. Suite includes private bathroom, mini-fridge, microwave & coffee outside of bedroom and in our garage.
Detached studio in the garden, very private and quiet. Please not that the bathroom requires walking through our garage. The bathroom is not shared, but we will occasionally need to do laundry in the garage.
We are very close to Felton Downtown and Fall Creek hiking trails in the redwoods. We are about a 15 minute drive to the beach in Santa Cruz.
  • Great place !

    Jackie2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • The hosts communicate in a timely and clear manner, the little dog that lives there is a delight, and the area you stay in is super clean. I enjoyed having a private space in the backyard. Something extra awesome about this place is that it's a short walk from one of California's redwoods state parks. There are hand-written directions to a small local entrance to it left in the room you stay in, which is a great touch. I highly recommend staying here!

    Keaton2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Great place. We loved the fresh mountain air, the comfortable bed, and the easy check in. The walk to the garage where the bathroom is located is very short and paved, not a big deal at all. The guest area in the garage is very nicely done. We liked being able to walk into Felton, Mexican restaurant there was excellent.

    Kiana2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great little place with everything you need. I used it while on a work trip. Perfect place to just use to crash while away doing other things. Be OK with needing to go outside briefly to the garage for the bathroom--it can be cold in between but the garage and bathroom are perfectly warm. The garage has a nice kitchenette setup too.

Quiet and serene, set among the redwoods and a small fruit orchard in beautiful Bonny Doon. Tastefully decorated in native redwood, with wood flooring and plenty of natural light. With a ten minute drive to the beach and miles of hiking trails nearby, there are unlimited opportunities to explore and discover. Bonny Doon is also a favorite for cyclists. Downtown Santa Cruz is less than a 30 min. drive. Perfect romantic hideaway or active adventure base for a special visit to the coast.
This beautiful studio apartment is newly built, approx. three years old. It boasts a full kitchen and gorgeous wood floors with radiant heat. Located in Bonny Doon, it offers peace and quiet while being 30 minutes from Santa Cruz, 10 minutes to Davenport, and 20 minutes to Felton by car. Bonny Doon beach is about 8 minutes away, and Beauregard Vineyards winery is a short 5 minute drive. Designed to be spacious and open, with a natural connection to the outdoors, it is perfect for a couple looking for a place to relax and enjoy the ocean and forest or a multitude of outdoor activities.
Ours is a very quiet and friendly area in the redwoods, 4 miles inland from the coast. Most neighboring parcels are 2.5 acres. Everyone appreciates privacy and the natural beauty of the forest. We also have many delightful furry and winged neighbors.
  • Loved our time here! Very beautiful and clean space great for a weekend of recharging. I would definitely recommend anyone who wants to have a weekend away stay here!

  • We had such a wonderful time at Laurie’s place! The studio was comfortable, clean, thoughtfully designed and located on such a beautiful property. Laurie was super quick to respond to my inquiries and very flexible with accommodating our late check in. We are already trying to find another time to escape to her sweet little place in the woods.

    Korina2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great spot for anyone looking for extremely comfortable accommodations on their coastal woodland retreat. The location is perfect for hiking in several nearby state parks, and it’s also a short drive to Santa Cruz. The room was clean, spacious and cozy, and we slept very well on the comfortable mattress. The property has a nice garden with fruit trees, and we enjoyed drinking tea and wine at the picnic table under the stars and the redwoods. My only complaint is that two nights was much too short a trip, and we’re hoping to be back soon for a longer stay!

A peaceful creek-side studio in a redwood grove. Private entrance with a own bathroom & mini-kitchen Hang out in the cozy room, in the private glen or go explore Henry Cowell Redwoods state park, Felton restaurants & tourist train. 20 min drive to ocean & Santa Cruz. close to Fall Creek State Park and Big Basin State Park. A good hub for Monterey, Carmel, Point Lobos and Big Sur. Close enough to San Francisco to make it a day trip.
Cozy studio with a super comfy bed, private bathroom, sitting area and kitchenette with table and two nice chairs. TV (for DVDs with a selection of movies and Netflix && Hulu if you have an account), Microwave, hot plate, sauce pan and fry pan, toaster, coffeemaker, little frig. and a tea pot, dishes etc. Towels and shampoo too. Very quiet and very private apartment. It's attached to the main house but on a separate level and feels like a cabin. It faces the forest and the main house faces the street. Listen to the creek gurgle instead of traffic noise, with fresh air from the forest and a view of a forest glade. County of Santa Cruz registration certificate #CO00185
Quite mountain neighborhood but close to Hwy 9 and the little town of Felton. Felton has a couple of great restaurants and some good take out places plus the best natural foods market. Don Quixotes music hall has a different musical act every night. Walk to Monte's Log Cabin - a classsic dive bar. Walking distance to Henry Cowell Redwoods state park (with a great short hike to see the giant trees) and Roaring Camp tourist train (take a train to the beach boardwalk). Short drive to Fall Creek park (great hiking) and only 15-20 minutes from eclectic downtown Santa Cruz and the beautiful beach, wharf and boardwalk.
  • This is a cozy little place in the mountains; perfect for a weekend getaway. You're close to Felton - a quick drive, or a decent walk. You can walk straight into a great state park, and enjoy a loop among old redwood trees. The room had a number of nice, smaller touches, such as a few snacks, and some interesting books to check out.

    Pat2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Mateos place was so nice. The hot tub was amazing. The backyard is so pretty with the view of the creek. It’s such a beautiful relaxing getaway. My boyfriend and I had the most romantic valentines getaway.

    Hannah2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Mateo’s place is very special - so quiet and peaceful, tucked into the most beautiful grove of redwoods. It is clear that a lot of thought has gone into this place. The bed and bedding were the most relaxing and comfortable ever; I slept better than I have in months. And I especially appreciated the collections of essays and short stories, which were the perfect reading material for a cozy evening after a long day of traveling The location is also wonderful, just up the hill from the state park with wonderful hikes in the redwoods. It was hard to leave and we would love to return some day.

Floating high in the branches of the magical Redwood forests of Bonny Doon the Pinecone Treehouse will immerse you in 360 degree views of the forest's upper canopy. Allow the healing power of this forest environment and this awe inspiring structure to sing you into complete relaxation, imagination and reflection.
The Pinecone Treehouse is a space created to tap into your higher self, a space to rediscover your inner calm. Cradled by those living giants the California Redwoods, one is invited to live in the vision of their dreams, to quiet the mind until they can hear their inner truths, to reestablish a connection with nature and  self.  Our greatest hope is for guests of the Pinecone Treehouse to leave refreshed, inspired, reconnected, and recommitted to themselves, their dreams, and to this beautiful home that we call Mother Earth.  This treehouse experience is an Adventure! and an experience you will sure be sharing with all of your friends however it is not for the faint of heart. The treehouse sits 35' above ground on the uphill side and almost 60' from the ground on the downhill side. With two triangle shaped see through floor panels this treehouse makes one feel as though they are flying through the upper Redwood canopy. Entry and exit from the treehouse requires a bit of effort to ascend and descend the steep alternating step entry ladder as well as to pass through the trap door, if your not of sure-step we recommend using the harness safety system.
The Pinecone Treehouse is located in Bonny Doon which is known for lavender farms and wineries and is approximately 10 miles north of Santa Cruz, and inland from the town of Davenport. Coastal redwoods sit inland from Bonny Doon State Beach, where sandhill habitats and trailside plants attract hikers and outdoor enthusiasts. Although Bonny Doon is flavored with an artistic, eclectic flair, it maintains its small-town feel and is a welcoming stop off scenic Highway 1. Explore the many surrounding Santa Cruz mountain towns as well as local sights which include many local places of interests, trail heads, wineries as well as the neighboring UCSC college campus. • One of a kind! The architecture, the engineering, the setting, the openness, the rawness, the call of the void, the details... Loved the uniqueness of it all! But if you're expecting luxury, this is not it. Rustic and raw is more like it - from the bumpy dirt road strewn with debris and abandoned vehicles, to the mismatched bedding, to the lottery that is taking a shower... Embrace it! A couple clear triangular shaped floor panels and the clear walls and ceiling allow 360° views of the Redwood forest and, combined with the slight sway and gentle squeak of the pinecone, create a floating and extremely lulling sensation, which we much enjoyed and definitely satisfied my love for heights... For a few days, I felt free like a bird in a tree and I must have a tiny exhibitionist in me that was tickled by open shower :). Dustin was flexible and very accommodating to my needs and communication was great with both Dustin and our host, Makenzie. This was an awesome and memorable experience! Vertigo isn’t the fear of falling, it’s the desire to fly.”

  • Such a cool place. Go. Go now. Ps. You can be sober or slightly tipsy but anything beyond that and climbing the ladder will be a risk. :)

    Noah2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Well If you want something to remember forever look no further than the Pinecone Treehouse.

    Chris2019-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • The pinecone treehouse is one of the coolest places I've ever been to. It was a very unique and memorable experience to live there. We feel very grateful for the opportunity to stay there and wake up in the tree tops. Definitely recommend it.

    Kaiyue2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • This place is exactly as pictured. It is the cutest little treehouse and very clean. The ladder is definitely steep like described, but easily assessable. I’d recommend a head lamp for sure like they said if you plan on staying out late. All of the hosts are awesome and respond very quickly.

    Jessica2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • It became one of the most memorable trips in my life thanks to such an amazing place! I recall my experience surrounded by trees, the sky and birds' tweets in such a cute den. If you like adventures I 100% recommend you to stay. You need to go up a ladder high and the 'house' occasionally swings a bit, so if you're afraid of height I don't recommend though. I stayed in July but it gets chilly in the night, I strongly recommend you to bring warm blanket or sleep bag. To my surprise, this place has wifi and outlet, you can keep instagramming your experience from the den! I really liked the location too. It's in the middle of the woods but close enough to the west side of Santa Cruz.

  • The Pinecone is definitely an adventurous experience one must live. The tree house is tucked among the Redwoods making it perfect for a little gate away from the city. Expect to walk on a muddy road with abandoned cars left alongside (very scary at night) One of our favorite things, perhaps the only one, was waking up to the view and the sounds of nature. However, in the two nights we stayed at the Pinecone, the heater didn’t work for it had a leak. I notified this to our host. He said he’d fix it the next day, but he never did nor did he have the audacity to reply to our messages thereafter. During our last night at the Pinecone, there was a concert going a just couple feet away from us. It was super loud, plus a bunch of drunk people parked in our area which was very disrespectful and uncomfortable (something we should have been notified of) and not to mention some of these people used our toilet, leaving it disgustingly dirty with no toilet paper. Very disappointed to this as we thought this place was gonna be very secluded and secure.

  • The Pinecone Treehouse was one of the coolest places I've ever stayed! Dustin was great with communication and it was a once in a lifetime experience staying in such a work of art suspended among the redwoods. Truly loved every minute of my stay! :)

Easy to get to the beautiful redwood state park. We couldn't get our laptop to work with the wifi but phones did. • We had a great time. The place was clean and well kept. The list of restaurants and things to do in the area was very helpful. Ron was very responsive and it was obvious they wanted us to be as comfortable as possible. Really enjoyed our visit to Big Basin. It had been almost 30 years since our last visit there and we weren’t disappointed.

    Katelynn2019-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • This studio is immaculately clean, adorable and cozy. The one thing I wish I knew before arriving is that it is located right on a major road... like three feet from a major road. Other than that surprise, I was very happy with the place. The hosts were very quick to respond and sent an email with info about local restaurants and attractions. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was well enough appointed to cook a nice meal.

  • This was an absolutely gorgeous apartment, in one of the loveliest, kindest, most beautiful towns I've ever had the pleasure of staying in. The home was clean, spacious, and relaxing, situated among the redwoods of Ben Lomond, and close to several wonderful restaurants and coffee shops (shout out to La Placa Pizzeria and Coffee Nine). Everyone in town was extraordinarily kind to us--we couldn't have been happier with our experience. I would stay out there again in a heartbeat.

Mount Hermon: In 1841, California's first water-powered sawmill was built at the junction of Bean Creek and Zayante Creek by Peter Lassen, Isaac Graham, J. Majors, and F. Hoeger. Mount Hermon, known as "Tuxedo Junction" prior to 1906, was a stop on the South Coast Pacific Railroad from Alameda to Santa Cruz.[3] Hotel Tuxedo was on the property; the hotel was purchased and renamed the Zayante Inn on April 14, 1906, by a group which later became the Mount Hermon Association, Inc. Five ladies of the group were entrusted with the selection of a new name for the area, and they chose that of the peak in the Holy Land.[4] The land was to be used as a Christian retreat center, whose dedication day, known as "The Great Day", was July 22, 1906; the event was held at the Zayante Inn with 1400 people in attendance. Speaking at the dedication was Dr. Reuben A. Torrey, President of the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Illinois. The Zayante Inn and surrounding cottages were destroyed by fire on April 18, 1921. At the site, the Mount Hermon Christian Conference Center, with three separate facilities, operates on much of the original property. There are also several hundred privately owned homes, the Mount Hermon post office, and a bookstore.

Romantic retreat! Wake up to bird song through the skylights, lounge on the deck under the redwoods with a cup of coffee, luxuriate in the oversized bathtub with candles, and cozy up in front of the wood fireplace. Whiskey Hollow is a true get-away! Nestled in the woods, you would never guess that you're only 2 miles from downtown Felton, 1.5 miles from Henry Cowell State Park, 15 minutes from downtown Santa Cruz, and 20 minutes to the beach. Super cozy and--did we mention? Romantic!!!
Charming, cozy, peaceful, this A-Frame cabin in the woods is the perfect place for a romantic get-away. Snuggle up in the comfy queen bed in the loft, and morning will greet you with a stunning view of the redwoods without even having to leave the bed. (Did we mention it's romantic??) When you do muster the energy to start your day, a fully equipped kitchen awaits and provides the opportunity to cook a big breakfast, lunch or dinner. Felton offers two nearby markets: Wild Roots and Safeway. If you decide you'd like to barbecue, there is a charcoal grill on the deck for your use. Take a seat in one of the Adirondack chairs or at the picnic table while you wait for dinner to finish and enjoy the view--you will see lots of birds and squirrels, and may see deer or our local flock of wild turkeys! The main level of the home consists of a sweet bedroom (full bed), a dining/work area, a living room with a sofa, a loveseat and a large ottoman, a wood-burning stove, television and an entire wall of windows that look out onto sun-dappled forest. Additionally, you'll find the fully-equipped kitchen and the bathroom with a generous two-person tub you may never want to leave. The lowest level of the home offers a mini-gym with a treadmill, yoga mat, and a weight bench (and ironing board). During your visit, please feel free to enjoy the television, board games, books, popcorn, coffee and tea. Like most homes in the coastal area, the cabin does not have air conditioning. Both the living room and the loft have ceiling fans. Note to families: Both sets of stairs are fairly steep, and there is a stairway off the deck. There is no baby/toddler/child-proofing in the house, so please proceed with caution if you elect to bring the little ones. Felton is in a forested area, and fire is a very real hazard in the dry months. Please leave coals and ash in the fireplace or the barbecue so that we may dispose of them safely. Also: Absolutely no smoking or vaping inside or outside the home. Thank you for protecting our home and our neighborhood. We do live here part-time, so while the cabin will be clean and uncluttered, you will see some personal items (i.e. clothes, shoes, books) tucked away. We have a sweet dog too and, though the house will be clean for your arrival, if you are allergic to dogs, this may not be a good fit for you.
If vacation means not cooking, downtown Felton offers multiple dining opportunities just five minutes away. A few of our favorites: Cowboy Bar & Grill, The Cremer House, and Redwood Pizza . Scotts Valley is about 15 minutes away and offers all the amenities of a city (in case you're craving a fancy cupcake, See's candy or want to catch a movie on the big screen). Drive a few more minutes and you're in Santa Cruz at the beach, where you can find fresh crab, locally roasted coffee (Verve!), and a vegan bakery, to name a few. Nearby activities include hiking, surfing, zip-lining, mountain biking, and Roaring Camp Railroad. In the cabin you will find a binder filled with our dining recommendations (as well as addresses, phone numbers and hours for each restaurant), information on local activities ranging from Pescadero down to Carmel, and books about the area to help you plan your stay. One of our favorites: Renting Jump bikes (electronically assisted cruiser bicycles, $4 per hour) and riding along West Cliff Drive in Santa Cruz.

  • A nice place, comfortable and a short walk to amenities - church, restaurant, bakery, etc. Quiet, for sure, and scenic. We enjoyed it!

  • I would highly recommend Laila’s place. This is my second time staying here and I already look forward to my next visit! A beautiful and quiet retreat in a wonderful location.

  • What a magical spot! Close to the beach and cute little town. Yard is protected from the wind and warm. Our kiddo enjoyed the play structure. Cozy couch and beds. Nice sheets and towels. We did not do any cooking but the kitchen seemed well-appointed. Would love to come back!

  • Great place in a quaint little town. Spend the day in near by Santa Cruz, and the evening hanging out with locals at the restaurants.

  • Laila's home in Davenport is such a wonderful place! It's at the end of a road, with views of the grassy hill, barn, and even the ocean. We loved having access to the loaner bikes, for a ride into Davenport, and the house is perfectly appointed! I found that the pictures do not fully show the loveliness of the home, so expect even better than what is shown! The Whale City Bakery seriously has the most yummy treats EVER (must get jam-filled croissants). We enjoyed nearby hiking in Felton, hung out in Santa Cruz, and then headed to Half Moon Bay on our departure day. Davenport is a really charming town, and Laila's place is a perfect place to relax after enjoying the small town cuteness. Laila is also really helpful and communicative. Awesome place & host!

  • Quiet spot close to amazing beaches, hiking and some great reasturants. Really enjoyed it for a weekend getaway

    Natalie2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Laila's place is in a quiet little community that is surrounded by fields on one side and US1 and the Pacific on the other. It is a short, fun walk to the little town of Davenport where there are a couple places to eat and a liquor store. Across the highway there is the Pacific, and you can enjoy the view from the cliffs or scramble down to the coves. Everything you need is in the house, including laundry in the back. Definitely a treat!

  • Aaron's place was located in the beautiful mountains of Santa Cruz. Lovely location for sure! I also appreciated Aaron's hospitality, from having nice chats to having a great breakfast in the morning. If someone wanted to "get off the grid", this would be a great place to do it (although they do have Wifi in the house. Nice perk!)

    Ramona2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great location on a secluded private hill 20 minutes from the Big Basin Redwoods park and Santa Cruz. Very quiet at night for restful sleep. Aaron is very interesting person to chat with. Recommended! Make sure you have address on your map before departing as no cell coverage. Last 200m from the entrance gate to the house require some uphill driving skills. Low clearance cars may have trouble navigating this last stretch. Enjoy it!

  • Thanks a lot Aaron

Enjoy your book-filled room, TV (Netflix and Amazon Prime but no cable) wifi, a kitchenette, and private bathroom in an apartment- like setting. Enjoy sitting by the pool to take in spectacular views over Monterey Bay, gorgeous in the daylight and breathtaking with lights at night. The Milky Way and stars usually offer their own nighttime light show, too, and you can enjoy a nighttime fire by the pool, as well.
The house was built to maximize ocean and bay views. Its set on 37 private acres of towering redwood, pine, fir, oak, and madrone trees. Sunrise is so spectacular, confirmed late sleepers have been known to get up early. The kitchenette includes microwave, toaster, coffee maker, blender and a refrigerator which is stocked with some breakfast basics for your convenience. Laundry is available for extended stay guests. You'll have a private carport next to your room. The world doesn't intrude on you in Bonny Doon. Your neighbors are quail, squirrels, rabbits, bobcats, and deer. If you are looking for a rural location where you can relax and pursue artistic activities, this is your spot. I'm a writer and would especially encourage others to retreat here to work. There's a pool, separate wifi, books, puzzles, and a metal detector to take to the beach to search for buried treasure. There's also a garden and a micro greenhouse/tearoom with seating and you are welcome to pick organic apricots, plums, blueberries, and apples in season for a snack.
Bonny Doon is a suburb of Santa Cruz and is rural but not remote. All parcels are on at least an acre. At night don't be surprised to hear coyotes, raccoons, or owls. The neighborhood is quiet and you are asked to be respectful of the tranquility and overall environment. There are no cell towers in Bonny Doon. Most people can receive texts and messages, few can respond. That's why there's a landline.
  • The best Airbnb so far. Impossible views. Amazing bed. Nancy is the best host!!!

    Matías2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay! A wall full of books as well as coffee, tea, half and half and snacks made up for the light rain outside. Nancy is very helpful and welcoming. We’ll be back!

    Margene2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing stay. Nancy was very hospitable and the room was large, spacious, and cozy. The house is located higher up in the forest with breathtaking views of trees and the ocean which made for the perfect getaway. Highly recommend!

    Christine2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Just what we wanted for a weekend away! Convenient location -- 20 min from Santa Cruz, 15 min from UCSC, 15 min away from Redwood forests. Tidy and beautifully decorated room -- perfect space for us to hangout, sleep-in, watch Netflix, read, and enjoy the stunning views. Super comfy bed. Clean bathroom! Nancy took such good care of us. She had breakfast items in the fridge which was much appreciated. She was a kind and caring host and let us have our space but was also available for lovely conversation. We would love to come back again and could not recommend more!

    Natalee2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at Nancy's place! Nancy's place is nestled in the redwood forest, with sweeping views over Santa Cruz to the Pacific Ocean and Monterey Bay. It was exactly what we wanted for our little weekend stay in the redwoods, and Nancy is a thoughtful host who puts in the little extra touches to make your stay easy and special.

    Kelly2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Nancy Lynn’s place was wonderful! We decided to do a quick weekend trip, and Nancy was quick to accept our booking a few days prior. Her home is just as described - nestled among the redwoods, with a phenomenal view of the bay and ocean from her backyard. The space itself is quite spacious - clean, charming (WALLS of books!), kitchen stocked with essentials, and an adjustable bed. Upon arrival we were surprised that the room led to a hall to the rest of the house, but there is a locking door in-between so you have complete privacy. We didn’t have the chance to talk much but Nancy was kind and respectful. Ask her about her books!

    Erin2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great view, clean and spacious. Def recommend!

    Marta2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Nancy’s accommodations were wonderful. The space is perfect and very comfortable. The little touches like coffee, bagels and bottled water were so sweet and totally not expected. The view and property were amazing and exceeded our expectations. The location is perfect for what we like to do, which is access all the great open land Santa Cruz County has to offer. You are only a couple minutes from Fall Creek Park, the cliffs above Bonny Doon Beach and West Cliff Drive. This was such a refreshing and fun trip. I’d love to travel there in the summer to enjoy the pool. Thanks for making this trip so memorable, Nancy!

Peaceful Home in the Santa Cruz Mountains, in Bonny Doon. Remote, simple accommodation for nature lovers, near a beautiful redwood forest. Eco-friendly, safe and inclusive home.
The beauty of the Santa Cruz mountains awaits you! My home is situated exceptionally well, balancing accessibility to local attractions with peaceful seclusion. Twenty minutes to downtown Santa Cruz, ten minutes to Felton's quaint main street, fifteen minutes to the beach, , ninety minutes to San Francisco up scenic Highway 1. But when you are sipping tea or a beer on the porch, you'll hear nothing but the hummingbirds and the wind in the trees. The Simple Zebra Room has a comfortable queen sized bed with European-style goose down duvet and electric bed warmers for cold mountain nights. It is a simple bedroom with the bed, one big window with curtains and a small writing/laptop table and a hardwood floor. The room is underneath the kitchen and you might hear noise from upstairs occasionally (dishwasher, footsteps, …). I have three bedrooms for Airbnb in my home. Check my other 2 listings if you need a different type of room or other dates than what are available for this room. The Redwood Grove Room and the Oak Lodge Room each have a king bed and two windows. https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/3157767?location=Santa%20Cruz%2C%20CA%2C%20United%20States&adults=1&toddlers=0&guests=1&s=JuEOCamx https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/3157767?location=Santa%20Cruz%2C%20CA%2C%20United%20States&adults=1&toddlers=0&guests=1&s=JuEOCamx I also have a separate listing if you have a larger party or would like more privacy and would like to rent all three rooms. https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/20235429?euid=84906e3f-468f-de71-d618-42f4b9c0df27&guests=1&adults=1 There is a large bathroom for your use, stocked with shampoo and other toiletries. It is shared among all 3 Airbnb bedrooms. There's a large fridge and a coffee and tea bar, but there is NO KITCHEN. I usually have sparkling water and half-half in the fridge, and chocolates/snacks for you. The bedrooms are downstairs, while my bedroom and main living area are upstairs. The upstairs is private, and there is no kitchen access for guests. There is average-speed DSL wireless access throughout the house. Parking is not a problem. Please be aware that the house is located on a narrow road in the mountains and the drive can be difficult if you are not used to steep, narrow, winding roads! It's dark at night and GPS doesn't always work accurately. Belle is my big, white Pyrenees dog. She resides upstairs with me but often helps me to greet my guests. Don’t be afraid of her big, loud bark; she is only saying ‘hello and welcome!” I strive for her to be calm and quiet in the house. She is not a “sit down, roll over” type of trick-doing dog. But she loves the forest as much as me, and we go for many walks on the path through the redwoods. Perhaps you will join us on one of our walks? Also, she often hangs out with me while I am cleaning the Airbnb rooms. So if you are allergic to dogs, this might not be such a good place for you. Cashmere, the grey cat, spends the majority of his time lounging and prowling outside, but does come inside once in a while. He sometimes greets the guests and will occasionally hang out by the hot tub, so if you are strongly allergic to cats, it might not be so good, either. I am always trying to make my lifestyle more sustainable, and have installed solar panels. The house is now 100% solar powered. In the winter I use a wood stove that burns what I've cleared from the land. I also line-dry the sheets, compost, and recycle. Bug catching spiders are my friends, and I gently relocate them away from the bedrooms. Great tasting water from a well. Pure mountain water! Also, I have an electric car charging station that you may use if you own an electric car. This is a rustic accommodation, in a uniquely beautiful piece of paradise.
Bonny Doon is a charming community in the mountains, blending serious old-timers with vacation-home implants, and intentionally keeping itself "rural and natural." The people here consciously cultivate a sense of community and are genuinely friendly. The beauty of the Santa Cruz mountains is phenomenal. My home is centrally located between several state parks: Big Basin, Henry Cowell (to which we are adjacent), Wilder Ranch and Waddell Beach. The beach town of Davenport is fifteen minutes away, and boasts a good restaurant (the Roadhouse), a locally-famous cafe/bakery (the Whale City), frequent live music, and a sprinkling of shops, all with Pacific views. The mountain towns of Felton, Ben Lomond, and Boulder Creek are also nearby and quaint. My favorite restaurant is the Tyrolean Inn, an authentic German restaurant in Ben Lomond. Nearby Santa Cruz is full of charms that include and transcend its tourist-spot reputation! Don't miss going to the beach - the boardwalk for tourist tradition, or colorful Capitola, or one of many secluded coves. Enjoy the chic Pacific Avenue Mall, an array of thrift/vintage shops, a vibrant music scene, and some great restaurants.
  • Very cozy house in the woods. Pascal and his dog are wonderful! 10/10 would stay again

  • Was welcomed in the driveway by Belle the dog who walked us to the front door. Pascal was warm, friendly, and a great host. Our stay was very peaceful and the hot tub was amazing at the end of the day!

  • I'm planning to go back already, as this was the perfect weekend getaway from San Francisco if you are looking for peace and quiet and a change of pace. I really enjoyed just sitting on the porch in a comfy chair with a view of the garden and forest, drinking coffee, and eating apples off the trees in the garden and the apple cake Pascal made from scratch. The host took a couple of us guests on an amazing hike through the gorgeous redwood forest adjoining his property. It was great not to have to get in a car to go on a hike. His dog, Belle, is very lovely and chill. You could easily go to Santa Cruz for an excursion, and it's a short 20 min drive to the coast where I went to eat dinner one night and visited an abalone farm near Davenport. Guests should read the description carefully: this is not a party house nor is there currently an indoor communal living room for guests other than the breakfast area with the coffee and tea (there's also a handy fridge just for guests). It's a wonderful place if you want to chill outdoors in nature or stay put and enjoy the silence and the crickets and birds or use as a jumping off point for little adventures. Great Airbnb experience!

  • A quiet place in the midst of a beautiful redwood forest. Pascal is a great host, he was very helpful! Stay here if you want to relax from the busy coast. If you have the time I highly recommend a hike in Pascals forest, it is beautiful there. In our case his dog took us and brought us back safely!

  • We had a very pleasant stay at their beautiful home. The comfort room offered a very restful night's sleep on a comfortable bed and had a great view. Their house is on a beautiful property surrounded by redwoods and is very clean. You can even see the ocean from their place. They are pleasant and kind hosts. I highly recommend a stay here.

  • This was a very comfy stay. Quite cozy, clean with wonderful touches such as bath robes and water bottles. I do recommend asking how/where to adjust the thermostat because it was a bit too warm in the room. Hosts are very pleasant but do not interact much with guests, which may have had more to do with the rush of the holiday, and we really had no qualms with it. Very handsome dog named Oso who keeps to the other side of the house. We would recommend this place.

    Lauren2019-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had the best sleep we'd had in a long time at Jaimi's place. The bed is honestly incredible and the wake-up view of the redwood forest is stunning. I loved the thoughtful touches - the special pillows, the robes, the glass re-usable water bottles, chocolates on pillows, the breakfast essentials and coffee. We didn't met Jaimi herself as we were only there one night but check-in / out was seamless. You're sharing the bathroom with a few other lodgers but we didn't have long wait times, and we had the kitchen / dining area to ourselves! We hope to come back!

The private cottage is tucked behind the main house, out of street view. Convenient driveway parking is provided for our guests. Enjoy the birds, river views, and local flora and fauna from the private deck. From time to time you may see a spider, smell a skunk, or hear a chainsaw. That's all part of the charm of mountain living! Ben Lomond is a charming mountain town, and our cottage is one block from most local services. It's an easy stroll to downtown, where you'll find locally-owned shops.
Please remove your shoes once inside to protect the wood floor. The separate bathroom has a slate tile floor, so remember to bring slippers or warm socks. We have provided fluffy socks to borrow if you forget your own. Many toiletries are provided for your use, including shampoo, conditioner, body cleanser and lotion, face wash and night cream, makeup remover wipes, and SPF protection. Denise is an esthetician; she loves skincare products and would love to lighten your load! You'll find a small-scaled, fully stocked kitchen. We've tried to provide everything you need if you decide to cook your meals at home. There are river views from the bedroom windows and blackout curtains for daytime sleeping. The bistro table on your private deck is the perfect place to have dinner, taking in the beautiful trees along the river. In the morning it's the place to be if you love birds, a variety of them get started early. It's not uncommon to see deer and other creatures. Check out the river views or snip some herbs from Denise's herb garden. Whether you're in the cottage or out on the deck, the vibe here is peace and relaxation. We aim to give our guests a 5-star experience!
We live in a residential mountain neighborhood. There are no sidewalks, but there are plenty of beautiful redwood trees, including some very large old trees on our street. It's a 5-minute walk to historic downtown Ben Lomond. Enjoy coffee shops, restaurants, and local theater. Visit the very popular Mountain Feed store to find gifts or homesteading supplies. There are an antique store and a second-hand clothing store minutes away. It's faster to walk than drive to downtown!
  • The cottage on the river was incredibly cozy and relaxing! There were so many thoughtful touches throughout the stay. Denise and Sydney really did think of everything someone could ever need or want. There was coffee/dairy in the fridge and delicious pastries from a local bakery for us. The bathroom was spotless and had excellent toiletries. Can't wait to come back!

    Kelly2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Denise’s space was the perfect getaway a short and beautiful drive from Santa Cruz. The town of Ben Lomond was peaceful and the Sicilian bakery with incredible cream filled pastries is an added bonus. We appreciated the box of bombolini Denise picked up for us from the bakery - literally a sweet surprise upon check in. This space was filled with the most thoughtful touches of any Airbnb I’ve stayed in. Nice bath products, new kitchen supplies, glasses in the free, a yoga mat!! I could go on... Stay here, you won’t regret it.

    Elizabeth2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • I had a truly wonderful stay at Denise’s Airbnb. She has incorporated so many small touches that make the space adorable and comfortable. The bed was top notch as was Denise’s communication and hospitality. My friend and I really enjoyed the table overlooking the river as well. I would definitely recommend staying here!

    Laura2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place right on the river, beatiful patio and all the amenities. Perfect in every way I could think of!

  • Denise’s place was absolutely wonderful. She greeted us with genuine warmth and helped show us around her beautiful place. We discovered fresh bakery treats she’d bought for us and we pretty much devoured them! Her place was sunny and bright and super cozy, close by to local shopping and restaurants. We loved the creek views and trees nearby, all great to see from the super comfortable bed. There is no place I’d rather stay again in this area!

    Michael2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • This is such a romantic retreat! The little house is on the water & the hosts are amazing! Denise is also an amazing aesthetician! My husband and I both got facials & they were THE BEST we have ever had! The area is so beautiful and the room has everything one could need. It’s the perfect getaway!

  • Wow!!! I've stayed at many places but this one is by far my favorite! I travel for work to the Santa Cruz Mountains and this will be a regular stay for as long as they will have me. Everything is done with such thought. My favorite part is the adorable patio- it is so private and peaceful. I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting a quiet stay that is close to Santa Cruz but in the peacefulness of the mountains.

  • Such a beautiful home! The bed was super comfortable and the kitchenette was a cool place to hangout while eating. One of the hosts offered to show us some cool features around the property, but unfortunately we were only there for one night.

  • This was my second time staying at Jaimi’s. I love the location away from it all, with easy access to great hiking. I also came back for the super comfy bed, the well-appointed kitchenette, and the ability to keep to myself and have some much-needed alone time.

    Lauren2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The perfect place to stay if you like nature and peaceful surroundings but still want (or need) to be within easy driving distance of UCSC or the downtown. The house is beautiful and with a lot of character. Jaimi and Beau are the perfect hosts, welcoming and truly helpful, yet unobtrusive. There are a lot of thoughtful touches: comfortable beds and pillows, good coffee and light breakfast items, excellent Wifi, umbrellas by the door in case it's raining and you forgot yours, a water filtration system (the tap water tastes great). I am very glad I found this place, and would definitely recommend it!

  • The Serene Quiet Santa Cruz Mountain Oasis is among the most well-run Airbnbs that I've ever stayed at. The location was unbeatable, secluded and nestled in the redwoods yet only about a 15-minute drive from Santa Cruz. The house/room was comfortable, cozy, and clean; and Jaimi's local recommendations were exceptional. She was prompt and clear in all of her communication too. Some special touches made by the host that I especially appreciated were: - Umbrellas provided for rainy days - A kitchenette with complimentary light breakfast supplies and coffee/tea - Freshly baked pastries in the morning (I did not eat them since I am vegan, but the offer was a nice gesture) - Comfortable pillows and bed for restful nights of sleep - Plush bathrobes provided for use around the house - High-quality bath towels - A nice TV with a Roku and a DVD collection for guest use I highly recommend staying here to anyone planning a visit to the Santa Cruz area.

    Connor2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent location if you want to escape the hassle of Californian city life and spend some time at this very serene yet social home of Jaimi.

    Philipp2019-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • Simple, comfortable, well-run, good communication - and a lovely quiet spot in the woods.

    Bill2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Super nice house in the mountains. The best bed of our whole trip.

    Tim2019-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • Delightful. A real B&B – very professional, and with coffee, muffins, oatmeal, etc. available for breakfast. There are multiple rooms for guests to stay in, with shared bathrooms and kitchenette. All of the other guests were very quiet, which was exactly what I was after. Peaceful redwood surroundings. Super close to Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park, so you can get there very quickly and beat the crowds! The bed was soooo comfortable. Jaimi was super responsive. And I had an *amazing* massage at her business down in Santa Cruz. A perfect weekend! I hope to be back soon.

  • Michael and Nicky were indeed super host! Their place was SUPER clean and even more amazing than we had expected. Their unique decor really made our stay feel even warmer. Everything was laid out in perfect order – they made us feel right at home! Definitely already planning to rebook another weekend :)

    Chelsea2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • It was a fabulous escape! Very clean and comfortable space. Close to the highway, but it stays pretty quiet so you'd never know. Would definitely stay again!

    Bernadette2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Loved our stay here! Really cool and unique spot that makes you feel like you're not in the SF Bay Area anymore! Lots of places to hang out outside and look at the view. Great location too, right near some restaurants, bars and Big Basin. Plus - they provide oil, vinegar, sandwich condiments etc. which is always hugely appreciated when staying at a vacation rental!

    Sarah2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome place to stay with beautiful views. Nicky was just a quick text away for any for any questions. I highly recommend this place!!

    Wendy2020-01-23T00:00:00Z
  • We will definitely be back to this majestic oasis. Amazing cozy stay which exceeded on all expectations. Thank you!

    Daniel2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely fantastic place! Like several others have mentioned in their reviews, as beautiful as the pictures are they can't do this treehouse justice. Waking up next to the sounds of a river running outside your window, tucked away from the world but still conveniently close to hiking trails, beaches and local offerings, this place has it all. Nicky was very gracious and accommodating and the communication was clear and prompt. The outdoor shower overlooking the river running through stunning redwoods can't be overstated. All in all, one of if not my favorite airbnb stay I've ever had. Do yourself a favor and book this place, you won't regret it!

    Nate2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • 5 stars! This location is better then any pictures! The Tree house was spotless and the sound of the river flowing was tranquil !! We highly recommend this to all and hope to be back again soon!

Our large sunny studio is in the Santa Cruz mountains above Hwy 1. Opt for a quiet weekend on the property or venture out for easy access to wine tasting, biking, hiking, surfing or playing on the rugged north county beaches.
Each day as we drive up the mountain to our home we feel the rest of the world slipping away. If you are looking to get away to a quiet, rural location where you can easily access trails for riding or hiking, north coast beaches, wine tasting and dining - this is your spot. We live on a 1.5 acre property that is open and sunny, at the edge of the redwood forest. The studio you will be staying in has it's own access and is over 450 square feet. The studio is heated and contains: • King size bed • Full bathroom • Futon couch - not suitable for sleeping • TV & DVD player - no cable • WiFi • Closets & dresser for clothes storage • Dining table and chairs for two • Small refrigerator • Toaster oven • Microwave • Electric Kettle • Cutlery, plates, bowls, cups and mugs • Knives, can opener & bottle opener • Phone (landline) cell phone service is unreliable We do not have a kitchen in the studio but feel free to bring prepared foods that can be warmed up. We do have dishes & cutlery and basic kitchen utensils. We provide tea & coffee along with some simple "instant" breakfast options and snacks. You can get a warm drink & snack and then drive down to Davenport (10 minutes away) for a meal. The studio is clean, spacious, and filled with natural light. It comfortably accommodates two people.
We live in a small rural neighborhood where all of the lots are at least 1 acre. At night don't be surprised to hear coyotes or owls, and when it's clear with no moon the stars are bright and you can see the Milky Way. The neighborhood is quiet, and we ask our guests to be respectful of the quiet and the overall environment. Our larger neighborhood includes Davenport and many beautiful and rugged beaches along Highway 1. If you would like to hear about local hikes and beaches please ask us. Easy access to State Parks: • Fall Creek ~5 minutes • Coast Dairies ~10 minutes • Wilder Ranch ~15 minutes • Big Basin (Waddell Beach) ~20 minutes • Ano Nuevo - under 25 minutes
  • This is a great place to stay if you want privacy, to get away from the city, to be in the forest, to relax, to be near Santa Cruz and coastal beaches. I value sleep a lot. So I have to mention that the only downside for me was that the bed is very soft and my back was hurting.

    Ryan2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Looks rustic from outside but lovely on the inside. Nice quiet setting.

    Deborah2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay and had all the amenities we needed. Next to Beaugard winery and close to the coast.

    Florence2019-11-28T00:00:00Z
  • The room was very spacious and cozy. Lots of natural lighting, which may wake you up in the morning if you're sensitive to that sort of thing. The bed was so comfortable that it was impossible to get up before 8am. This place is also pretty nice for star gazing. Saw a few shooting stars! Would come again if the opportunity presents itself

    Sarah2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay here was wonderful! The drive there was gorgeous and the studio was cozy yet spacious, comfortable, super clean and had everything we needed. We couldn't have picked a better place to stay while visiting friends in Santa Cruz. We highly recommend Alyssa's place and would definitely book again.

    Therese2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • If you’re looking for a sincerely quiet escape, look no further. We loved not hearing a single sound during the afternoon and it turning into crickets and frogs into the night. Pitch black nights make it an amazing location to see the stars and Galaxy. Alyssa and her husband made sure we were comfortable throughout the weekend. We look forward to another stay with them down the road.

    Charles2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Loved the stay, beautiful location if you are looking for a quiet and remote getaway. Close to the beaches and trails, but be aware you will be driving up and down the windy hill every time you want to hit the beach or go into town! We will definitely be back!

    Chelsea2019-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • I can highly recommend a stay at Alyssa’s place. Her place is big, clean and located in a nice area. We felt welcome and Alyssa communicated fast!

First and foremost we want guests to know we run a commercial grade ozone machine in all units before and after they have been cleaned to ensure we stay healthy and our guests stay healthy during this virus scare. Our farm is in south Felton within walking distance to Henry Cowell Park, 2 minutes to downtown Felton by car, Roaring Camp Railroad, and Mt. Hermon Adventures. Santa Cruz Beaches and Big Basin Park are a 15 minute drives. Downtown Felton has artisan shops, restaurants and a brewery
We have 4 different vacation accommodations on the farm so it is possible to book a large friend or family gathering. All spaces are their own units with a good separation of space. We have a beautiful piece of property just minutes from town. On our 5 acre farm we have full sun so we are able to grow a variety of fruit trees, tomatoes and flowers. We also have a variety of chickens, goats and horses. We operate a seasonal farm stand as well. The Hayloft unit is in fact a former hayloft. It is the upstairs portion of the building shown in the picture and is 750 square feet. It has a cozy wood fireplace as well a space heater. It is a one bedroom but accommodates 4 people as the bedroom has 2 beds, one queen and one double. The double bed is built into the side of the room against the wall so it may only be comfortable for small adults or children. Please see the pictures. The Hayloft also has a cozy deck out back with a view of the farm. The house is in full sun year round so it stays warm and pleasant. Below the Hayloft house is the Barn Suite if you are interested in booking both for a family gathering. They do not share walls, but it is below the Hayloft on the first floor.
We are withing walking distance to Henry Cowell Park and our nice little local restaurant with outdoor seating. Town is a 2 minute drive away or a 15 minute walk. Roaring Camp is a 15 minute walk or 5 minute car drive away. Santa Cruz is a short 15 minute drive.
  • Lisa's place is so cozy and sweet! It was so dark and quiet, we all got great sleep. So close to the state park, downtown Felton and highways. Lisa was very quick and easy to communicate with. Would recommend!

    Annie2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely and spacious loft not far at all from Santa Cruz and redwood state parks. Would love to return.

    Erin2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Lisa communicated quickly when we had questions and had a lot of helpful notes posted throughout the loft. The place was very quaint and close to Henry Cowell State park. Great get-away. We would stay again.

    John2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The place was very cute and cozy, we had a nice dinner around the fireplace. Beds were comfy. Lisa was very helpful and nice. The farm is also lovely within the woods and close to Santa Cruz. It’s a great place to stay!

    Coralie2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • You could not go wrong with this stay!

    Iris2020-01-07T00:00:00Z
  • Lisa's place was wonderful! Comfortable, clean, and easy to get to. We would absolutely stay there again.

    Hannah2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • The Hayloft was adorable! It was warm, clean, and the beds were comfortable. While we didn’t use the kitchen, it seemed like there was everything you’d need to make meals at home. Plenty of games and books, as well as coffee and tea. It was fun to walk around the farm - horses, goats and chickens with wild hairdos! Lisa was super responsive from my first message, and very sweet and welcoming in person. We wholeheartedly recommend staying here!

    Jeana2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay in the Hay Loft, and we will definitely hope to be back. The space was charming, very clean and thoughtfully decorated, and the wood burning stove kept us nice and cozy the rainy night we were there. In the morning, we had a great time wandering the farm with our 15mo daughter- she loved watching the chickens and visiting with the goats. Lisa was very responsive, welcoming and thoughtful. We can't say enough good things about our stay here!
