Holiday rentals with a patio in Riverside

This is a well presented apartment which is convenient for motorways and city. It is situated in the Bay area which has a number of restaurants and seemed safe. The area is quiet. There is no difficulty getting a taxi into the city or it is an approximate 20 minute walk. The apartment has its own off street parking space which is appreciated. It is clean and all kitchen appliances and bathroom fittings work well. It is most suited for a guest number of 2-4 as there are 2 bedrooms, each with a double bed. There are two bathrooms which is very convenient. The mentioned lounge sofa bed is not a great extra accomodation option but that is similar to elsewhere. The hosts respond very promptly and helpfully to any enquiry. It is probably at the upper reasonable price range if there were only two guests. The owners offer earlier/later check in/out for an extra cost, ? slight unnecessary mercantilism. I do not have any hesitation in recommending this apartment for a short city break stay.

Great little place to stay. We booked the one with the private terrace which was perfect. Location is spot on too, very near town and only 10 minute taxi to the Bay. Annoyingly I didn't have time to use the shower but the bathroom was very tidy. Was quite weird that the door knew my name but also reassuring that we were in the right place. Not sure if I didn't read the info correctly but there is non permit parking that is quite reasonable right outside the property. I'd booked parking elsewhere but didn't need to. On busy days, it might be needed but we stayed on a week day. Definitely better than a hote and would stay there again.

Jolanta and I were only in contact via the messages. She is a likeable landlady and available at any time. Access to the apartment is via a key box - very easy to set 4-digit with number wheels. The apartment is very bright and friendly. It is very quiet at night (residential area). If you like to sleep dark, you have to take sleeping glasses or the like with you for one of the bedrooms, as the street lamp is very bright. It didn't bother me. The other bedroom is inside. If you are good on foot, you can reach the city in 20 minutes and Penarth Pier in a good 30 minutes. Penarth Pier is beautifully situated on Bristol Canal. You can also eat there. Cardiff can also be reached in a quarter of an hour by car. Cardiff Bay (port) offers many pubs and restaurants. You can also go for a walk there. If I go to the area again, I will definitely stay in Jolantas's apartment again.

Great place to stay for a weekend away in Cardiff. Short walk to Mermaid Quay. Really peaceful location. Spacious and very clean, comfy beds. Bonus of a secure parking space. Host was very friendly and easy to communicate with. Would 100% recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay at Alison's - thank you for having us! The spacious apartment has obviously been recently furnished, and it was extremely clean. There was everything we needed, with a very comfortable bed with high quality bed linen. Thank you for the generous welcome basket, which was ideal for our breakfasts, and we enjoyed the biscuits too! All in all we thought it was excellent, and a great location for visiting St Fagans and our Cardiff cousins. Thank you very much to Alison and Luigi, and we hope to stay with you again.

Was such a lovely stay, probably the best Airbnb I’ve stayed in in Cardiff so far. Cathays station is a 15 second walk away which we got into town, so very handy. Everything was clean and lovely and great facilities :) Would definitely stay again ❤️

We spent 3 nights at Hayley’s place and it was absolute perfect! Exactly as seen in the pictures, spotlessly clean and had everything you needed. The bed was very comfy! Coffee machine was a great touch! Will definitely be staying again :)

We spent just one night at Kay’s lovely apartment. She responded quickly to any questions , very clean, comfy bed and lovely decking over a very pretty stream.

Wouldn’t think twice about using it again when visiting Cardiff

Thanks for having us Jules. Perfect house for what we needed. Clean, comfortable and cosy. East to get into town by bus or Uber. Found somewhere to park on the street outside easily. Lovely and quiet at night. Perfect little garden.

The photos do not do the Drydock Cottage justice - it is even more beautiful than it looks in the photos and also a lot more spacious. The attention to detail and every element of the design that has gone into the conversion of this building is second to none. The location is also absolutely perfect - so peaceful, tucked away in gorgeous grounds with a view straight out onto the canal and across over the valley to the mountains beyond. I could have sat and watched the world go by, including the families of ducks, all day. The home made goodies were very welcoming and I loved every minute of my stay. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place for people looking to escape to somewhere unique and peaceful.

We had a fantastic week in Cardiff, staying at Michael’s place in Penarth. The house was perfect for our group of six - clean, spacious, stylish, and equipped with everything we needed. It really felt like a home away from home. Penarth is a lovely area with great cafes, restaurants, and a beautiful coastal walk. We especially loved the walk over the Cardiff Bay Barrage Locks. The kitchen was well equipped and with a large wine fridge, which is a godsend with such a large group. Michael, Nadia and Kate were brilliant hosts, quick to respond and full of great local recommendations. We’d absolutely stay again. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Lovely stay at Aaron and Jai’s place. Felt right at home there and it’s in a great location- in the city but still nice and peaceful. Aaron and Jai were great hosts, really friendly and informative. I would definitely recommend this place and will stay here again myself if I’m ever in the area again.

Had a wonderful stay. Very spacious. Private. Felt right at home. Lovely massive bed in the main bedroom pillows and duvet also comfortable. Didn't use the 2 single beds but also a lovely room. The cottage just felt like it had a lovely atmosphere. You can leave the door open and windows without feeling like you have to have the door shut. Did Cheddar Gorge and Caves, Wookey Hole and Weston-super-Mare. Went to the Langford Inn and the Railway Inn plus in Cheddar had a lovely Indian at Rasoi and Milkshakes at Lion Rock Tea room. Jodie and Angus were helpful and friendly :-) Next time will definitely use the hot tub!

We had a great time at Andrew’s property! It was perfectly located to go into Cardiff and the house was beautiful - exactly as described! Andrew was a wonderful host! Would definitely recommend staying here!

Well kept property. Friendly neighbours. The wood fire was ready set up for use with supplies. Instruction manual on hand. Some basics provided which was a lively touch.

Absolutely loved this air BnB Gill was extremely helpful and the cottage was brilliant Loads of room Very comfortable with stunning views Enjoyed my visits from Bella the cat too and the horses over the gate I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay again highly recommended

The communication from booking to leaving was fantastic. The flat is spotlessly clean. A lot of thought has been put into it too make guest extremely comfortable. It was great sitting on the large veranda area in the evening as the sun went down. By far this is the best Airbnb I have stayed in. We will be booking again and again. Cracking value apartment in a central location for Cardiff bay, short walk from the train station also. Highly recommend.

It was compact as described, very new and clean. We got great sleep and appreciated being able to park our rental car in the drive.

A great place to stay so quiet it is a good walk into town but a bit of a hill on the way back,but all in all host very attentive definitely would stay again

We had the most wonderful stay with Mags. The house is stunning, surrounded by the most beautiful landscaped gardens. It was lovely to wake up to the birdsong in the morning. The property itself is cosy, comfortable and spotlessly clean. We slept great and the shower is excellent! Lastly, Mags was the cherry on top. She was kind, attentive and went the extra mile to make us feel welcome, albeit we only stayed for one night. One of the best Air BnBs we’ve stayed in - we hope we can find an excuse to come back again. Brava!

Claire is very helpful and responsive. The place is in a great location, bus stop just around the corner and so many restaurants around. The place has iron hairdryer towels etc everything that you need. Even portable fans which is helpful in this weather. Would recommend this place !!

Great place and wonderful host. Excellent communication throughout stay. Very close to principality stadium and Cardiff city centre and also provides free parking in the city centre which is a big plus
