Farmstay holiday rentals in River Shannon

We loved our stay here - we will be back! We took our 10 month old and everything was provided that we needed which was so helpful! If you are travelling with kids in the summer, bring black out blinds with you! The floor-to-ceiling windows are GORGEOUS but our little one was up early. We will still bring her back though - it was worth it!

Wir sind ohne Koffer angekommen und es hat drei Tage gebraucht, bis wir sie bekommen haben. Von Anfang an hat uns Gabriele herzlich und liebevoll empfangen und mit allem versorgt, was wir gebraucht haben, so dass wir auch die ersten Ferientage genießen konnten. Wir haben uns völlig zuhause gefühlt. Es handelt sich nicht nur um eine Ferienwohnung, es ist ein komplettes kleines separates Haus auf dem Farmgelände, hübsch, liebevoll und funktional eingerichtet. Der Blick vom gemütlichen Frühstückstisch aus geht direkt aufs Meer und auf reges Vogelleben, z.B. auf zickzackjagende Schwalben, zutrauliche Rotkehlchen und Möwen. Ein fast verwunschenes Waldstück, in dem die Ziegenherde wohnt, grenzt fast direkt ans Haus. Weder im Wohnzimmer - deutsches TV- noch in den beiden Schlafzimmern mit Doppelbett - englischsprachiges TV - oder in Küche und Bad hat es uns an irgendetwas gefehlt. Eine wunderbare Unterkunft, ein großartiger Stützpunkt für Entdeckungstouren an der herrlichen Westküste.

We had a wonderful stay at The Granary. Kelly is a great host, happy to support with anything. We loved to meet the animals. The Wifi was good enough to work from there. Thank you Kelly, for these lovely days!

2nd time staying here, which says everything. Tranquil, beautiful place, amazing hosts, great accommodations, just a spectacular stay. We’ll be back again, and hopefully again after that!

We loved staying at Triona's cottage. We spent so much time outside, exploring the surroundings. It was great for kids, both our 12 year old and 4 year old were so impressed with it. It was unusually warm when we were here and Triona brought a fan down which made it even more comfortable inside. Definitely recommend, I would love to come back!

My husband and I took our 3 children with us to site see all over Ireland and this cottage was absolutely wonderful. We needed something that could help accommodate our youngest at 2 years old, and our oldest at 12 years old. Not only was the cottage beautiful, but it was well equipped with toys, books, movies, pack n play, high chair, toddler plates, and a trampoline for the older kids. Fiona and her family were very kind and respectful to our privacy while still providing social interaction when we saw each other. Fiona provided great recommendations for bars, activities, etc. It was a great location to enjoy the peace and quiet, while still be close great sights and shopping, i.e. Galway, Aillweee Caves, and Cliffs of Moher.

Wow!!! What a great place. It was such a nice place. Great view. Great accommodation over all. Gerry was such a great host. Made us feel right at home. We will definitely stay here again if we are back in the area. Thank you so much for making our trip enjoyable

Joan and Paul’s stable accommodation is very private and provided an authentic rural experience - especially the setting in a beautiful fenced garden and a couple of horses in the paddock next door. It was great having a fire (with the fire starters and wood supplied). We very much appreciated having a washing machine (and clothes rack for drying) plus a full oven and gas hob. There are also plenty of power points. The fresh eggs on arrival were also a nice touch - plus the vase of fresh roses. It was also very good to be able to park right outside our accommodation. The bed is very comfortable and the high quality linen is a real treat - particularly the Sanderson pillowcases on the feather pillows 😀

The place was so beautiful, everything was so private and peaceful. The cabin and amenities were all spotless, and Imelda really thought of everything that is needed. From dressing gowns, towels, shampoo and conditioner, to having a full kitchen made it so much easier to cook and store anything we wanted. The hot tub was amazing and was so clean, instructions were also so easy to follow. I honestly recommend highly for people to stay, we will definitely be coming back 😊

lovely quiet area, beautiful view. it was nice that it was separate from the main house, as we had plenty of privacy. check in was easy as thr door was left open for us. the area was very rural but still not too far from the town (we only had bikes and had no problem getting in and out of town)

the accomodation was absolutely outstanding and very private. The view was absolutely incredible, and Suzanne was friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend staying here.

Amazing place. Very quiet and cosy but extremely well equipped and kitted for eating in and cooking. David and Martina communicated very proactively and made us feel right at home and even introduced us to their felines. Will definitely return.

This was a beautiful place to stay for a getaway ! It had everything you needed and the views from every angle were amazing! The location was ideal for a peaceful time away but also had everything we needed just a few minutes away in Foxford town and a close drive the the beautiful Enniscrone beach! Micheal was great to deal with, there if we needed anything and extremely kind and accommodating! We will absolutely be back and will recommend to friends and family ! 😊

Great place up a hill just off the Atlantic Way. Very short drive to the stunning coast. No sea views unless standing up in the garden if important for you

I was blown away by the Dream Barn... wasn't sure quite what to expect beforehand, but my GOODNESS! Jim has thought of absolutely everything. The cottage is very maximalist, but in a fun, eclectic way. Old typewriters, sewing machine, *2* record players to choose from and a kitchen with everything you might think you need and then some... and the place is VERY clean! Neighboring cows came over and checked us out through our window, and we fed the chickens that share the patio. Several kitties stopped by to check us out. I would go out of my way to stay here again. Jim is ridiculously undercharging for such an incredible treat of a place. You'll contemplate moving to Moynalty after your stay, just so you could have Jim as a neighbor and friend.

Our stay at James and Ciara's was just wonderful. As soon as we arrived there were so many thoughtful, luxurious touches that made all the difference after a long day of travel, from lovely smelling diffusers and candles and a roaring fire in the woodburner, to fancy Aesop hand soap and the comfiest pillows and mattress ever. There was also a welcome basket containing some treats such as wine and chocolate and Ciara's incredible homemade Irish soda bread. This is the kind of stuff that really makes a difference when staying in an Airbnb! The place was also spotlessly clean and everything was of very high quality. From the get go their communication was super prompt and friendly, nothing was too much trouble, always offering help, advice and recommendations. J&C are some of the nicest and warmest people you'll ever meet. We also got to meet some of their animals which our daughter LOVED, and the setting and outlook from the cottage is just beautiful. One of the best Airbnbs out there!

Very nice private cottage in county Galway! Had a great stay!

We really enjoyed the loft as our base for a couple of days.. close to the Cliffs of Moher- and just up the road from lovely Doolin. The home had spectacular views- was warm and light- and had everything we needed..we felt right at home and cosy.

We stayed at Des’s place for 3 nights while on our trip around Ireland. It was in a great location to explore the surrounding areas, it was nice to be out of a town and have a view over paddocks. Des was great with communication, and very quick to answer any questions. His place was clean, cosy and met all our needs for our stay. Having cooking facilities and a washing machine was great. We appreciated all the extras that were in the accommodation. Thanks Des.

What a beautiful home, and it truly felt like home. The views are absolutely stunning—imagine seeing a 3,000 year old stone fort while washing dishes and the ever changing colored sea right out the front windows. Bernie is the perfect host and her communication is instant. We hope to return!

A beautiful location and cottage, the wood burner makes it suitable for all weather conditions, and William was kind enough to restock the wood when we ran out. He also offered recommendations for walks and hikes

This location was exactly what i had hoped for. It is truly as serene and private as they describe, while being just a short drive to entertainment in Galway. The hosts were very nice, felt as though we were treated as family upon arrival
