Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Ribeira, Porto

Loved the place and the area. Quiet little alley in the mist of a busy place. The apartment was perfect for the 4 of us and Hugo’s mum was extremely friendly and accommodating!

The house is exactly as described and as per the photos. It was very clean and around a 20 minute walk to the Main Street in Porto. Fernando provided some great recommendations for restaurants. We would highly recommend Fernando’s home for your stay in Porto!

Cristina and her husband Joaquin met us at the apartment and welcomed us like family. Cristina's personal touches, fresh flowered from her garden, robes, slippers and her warm and welcoming energy were just lovely. Joaquin gave us an incredible rundown on the map of the area. Cristina checked in with us regularly and made us feel like we had family nearby. The apartment is quite spacious. highly recommend.

We had a great stay in Porto at Pedro's place. The house and the bed is quite small, but it was comfortable enough for 2 people for a couple of nights. As others have noted, there is a large family next door who sit outside talking loudly late at night and you can hear them inside. It didn't bother us too much but it's notable. We appreciated the gift of the port wine on the table. The host is very considerate and helpful! We would stay here again!

We had a truly wonderful stay at this charming house. It was spotless, beautifully decorated—just as pictured, if not better. Every little detail had been thoughtfully considered, from the comfortable bed and well-equipped kitchen and bathrooms to the local recommendations left by the host. The location was perfect—tucked away on a quiet street but still within easy walking distance of the river, shops, and all the best spots in the city. It felt like a real home away from home. Our host was incredibly kind, responsive, and welcoming, making check-in smooth and offering great tips on places to eat and things to see. It’s clear they genuinely care about their guests’ experience. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Porto!

This was a very interesting, historic home. We enjoyed the wild staircase and high ceilings. Would not be a good place for someone with mobility issues, but that is clear in the description. The fans worked ok to keep the heat at bay, but be sure to keep all shutters closed during the day to keep the heat out. Windows in fourth floor bedroom did not open, or will open, but there is nothing to keep them propped up. When it was 92 degrees, this room was quite stuffy. Two bedrooms on the next floor down were fine though. João was very responsive, helpful and the location was very walkable to much of the city.

Isa and Hugo’s place is fantastic. Very responsive hosts. It’s a bit of a walk to Porto, but such a peaceful walk along the river with great views. We loved staying in Gaia and can’t wait to return.

Staying at Filipa’s was a highlight of our trip to Porto. In the lovely, very comfortable apartment looking out on the Douro with a balcony was dreamy. The windows closed tightly blocking all sound so any time day or night we need quiet to sleep or think we had it. If we come back to Porto we’ll go right back to Filipa’s apartment. So wonderful to stay in the historic district with easy access to all of Porto. Be sure to savor the welcome glass of port with their amazing chocolate mousse. Delicious!

Location, location, location! The unit itself is fairly basic (though well equipped), but the view of Porto/Ribeira is sensational! Very comfortable unit for 2. Close to the port houses and Louis 1 Bridge. Marcelo provided good instructions to enter the property and was responsive to any request. Would definitely stay here again.

A wonderful stay in the heart of beautiful Porto. The apartment is fabulous, as good as the pictures are, they really do it no justice, you can see that every fine detail has been considered. Everything you need in the apartment, great comfortable bed and perfectly located for exploring the Riverside area, Gaia and Bolhao. Sao Bento is a couple of minutes walk for exploring further afield. Comm's were great to arrange access, will definitely try to stay again when next visiting Porto. I absolutely loved my stay at Liliana’s! The apartment is in a fantastic location right in the center of everything but still very quiet. Everything was very clean, and the bed was super comfortable. Liliana and her husband gave me excellent recommendations of things to do and places to eat. I highly recommend staying here!

This stay is the best place I’ve ever stayed at. Maicon’s place is in surrounded by many shops/bars/convenience stores, and a walking distance to many great places to visit in Porto (places like Bolhao Market, TimeOut Market, Luís I Bridge, Livraria Lello) and is also a 2-min walk to the train station! We were lucky to have been welcomed by Ana who was so kind and helpful, the place was very clean, cozy and offered a great kitchen space with a washing/drying machine that was so handy! My favourite part of their home is the couch - it’s superrr comfy!! Don’t second guess yourself and stay here, promise there will be no regrets!

Absolutely one of the best Air BnB’s I’ve rented. Ricardo was a super responsive host. He met us at check-in, provided recommendations for the area and was very responsive. The apartment was clean, central to all the major sites AND on a very quiet street.

Pedro was very responsive and also a great host. He came to meet us and tell us how everything at the place works. He is super friendly as well and gave us a welcome gift. He represents what Airbnb is about with his great hosting attitude

Nuno’s Porto studio was great! The location is perfect as it has various great restaurants and cafes right on the same street and you can walk to anywhere in the city within 10-15 min. The place was a modern studio that was very clean and had cool views. Nuno was very responsive and accommodating. I would stay here again!

Martha was incredibly polite and responsive from the beginning. Martha also recommended some lovely places to eat. I honestly didn’t realise how central the location was. We walked everywhere, about 15,000 steps a day and there was plentiful and good value restaurants and bars locally. Martha was extremely kind and accommodated us by letting us leave our things in the apartment on our last day as there were no new guests to check in and we had a late flight. There is construction immediately next to the apartment but this had very little impact. I would 100% recommend this location anf Martha for her kindness and attentiveness.

Daniel is extremely friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble and very quick responses. We had a lovely stay and would highly recommend any of Daniel's private tours which are much more personal. if we return to Porto we would definitely stay here again.

Excellent location and comfortable apartment - we stayed 3 nights, and it is within walking distance of many sights and restaurants, but remarkably quiet given where it is. A small balcony overlooks an interior courtyard. There is a coffee machine/electric kettle for tea, and a laundromat around the corner. Highly recommend.

Great location right in the city center, within walking distance to everything around. Parking spot was very convenient and safe as it was in a private underground parking lot. The place was very clean, quiet and had everything that we could need! Would highly recommend.

Comfortable, clean and spacious apartment in a great location. Was the perfect base for our family to explore Porto. The hosts were very helpful and accommodating. Highly recommend!
