Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Ribeira, Porto

Cristina and her husband Joaquin met us at the apartment and welcomed us like family. Cristina's personal touches, fresh flowered from her garden, robes, slippers and her warm and welcoming energy were just lovely. Joaquin gave us an incredible rundown on the map of the area. Cristina checked in with us regularly and made us feel like we had family nearby. The apartment is quite spacious. highly recommend.

We had a great stay in Porto at Pedro's place. The house and the bed is quite small, but it was comfortable enough for 2 people for a couple of nights. As others have noted, there is a large family next door who sit outside talking loudly late at night and you can hear them inside. It didn't bother us too much but it's notable. We appreciated the gift of the port wine on the table. The host is very considerate and helpful! We would stay here again!

We had a truly wonderful stay at this charming house. It was spotless, beautifully decorated—just as pictured, if not better. Every little detail had been thoughtfully considered, from the comfortable bed and well-equipped kitchen and bathrooms to the local recommendations left by the host. The location was perfect—tucked away on a quiet street but still within easy walking distance of the river, shops, and all the best spots in the city. It felt like a real home away from home. Our host was incredibly kind, responsive, and welcoming, making check-in smooth and offering great tips on places to eat and things to see. It’s clear they genuinely care about their guests’ experience. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Porto!

Náhir and her Sister are great hosts responded very quickly when we needed help. Their place is very cozy and central highly recommended when staying in Porto.

Maria greeted us and had cheese and cold beverages and a few other amenities in the fridge , we were able to get some great information she was very friendly and helpful . The views were fantastic exactly like the photo’s . Went to the Espinho market on Monday it was huge great deals and something for everyone was easy to get there . Plenty of walkways all along the ocean you can walk for miles . The train station is very close that you can take to Porto just FYI if you do take the train to Sao Bento Porto which is the downtown you have to change to Train 2 at the main station. This area is easy to get around and parking was close and free. Would love to come back to this area to explore some more .

I stayed two days in the house in the garden during my Camino from Lisbon to Santiago and that was wonderfully relaxing, a comfortable house with its own garden in a nice neighborhood. The house is spacious enough for two people and is fully furnished with a living/dining room, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom with double bed. Air conditioning is available. The garden is large enough for shade and sun. The center of Porto is about 20 minutes' walk from the center and is in a cozy, not very touristy neighborhood, with restaurants, cafes and shops. Public transport is also available with metro and buses. The hosts were very helpful and usually responded immediately with good tips. Value was okay. In short, if you are looking for a nice Airbnb near the center, I can highly recommend Carlos & Clarinda's house.

Loved our stay here! The location was amazing and the space was perfect. Genoveva was super friendly and accommodating. There is so much to do in the area, this is the perfect place to stay!

Great appartment. Very nice with a balcony - view to backyards but quiet. Less than 10 minutters walk from metro station with direct line to the airport. Reasonable walking distance to the citycenter. We recommend Restaurant Roma very close to the appartment - a real local place to eat. Elisabeth was very easy to communicate with, if we come back to Porto, we will be staying at her again 😊

⸻ I really enjoyed my stay here while visiting Porto! The apartment is centrally located, making it easy to walk to most of the places we wanted to explore. It was clean, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Cristina and Paula were incredibly kind and responsive—they checked in on us during our visit and made sure we had everything we needed. I especially appreciated all their recommendations—we loved the chicken spot they suggested and Gazela, which we ended up visiting multiple times! I would absolutely stay here again.

Carmen has set high standards for any future Airbnb rentals! She was there to greet us, instead of the apartment it was her friendly face that we found in front of it instead. She was super hospitable, her energy was more than welcoming and she took the time to put an itinerary together for our visit. We visited during the festivities of são joão, and she surprised us with a couple of plastic hammers (a crucial accessory for the night of the 23rd.) The apartment was well kept, and beautifully decorated, from the balcony to the beautiful knobs on the night stands. There were a lot of local restaurants nearby that did not disappoint. You could easily walk to any destination within 10-15 minutes. 5 stars! 10 out of 10!

Pedro was very responsive and also a great host. He came to meet us and tell us how everything at the place works. He is super friendly as well and gave us a welcome gift. He represents what Airbnb is about with his great hosting attitude

The apartment is a delight from the moment you walk in. It is beautifully decorated and feels like a home. Great bathroom with amazing rain shower and hot water. Bedroom and kitchen and living areas are all well presented and equipped with all you need and with lots of additional touches. Very quiet for sleeping, and great air conditioning in bedroom and living area. Great location to explore Porto, and don’t even have to walk very far at all, including a great cafe next door, to find lovely eating places. Pedro was a wonderful host in every way.

Nuno’s Porto studio was great! The location is perfect as it has various great restaurants and cafes right on the same street and you can walk to anywhere in the city within 10-15 min. The place was a modern studio that was very clean and had cool views. Nuno was very responsive and accommodating. I would stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay :) Sousa was lovely and welcoming, and the apartment was clean, modern, and comfortable. The location was perfect - super walkable and close to everywhere we wanted to explore. A sweet bonus was meeting a few friendly cats in the courtyard, which naturally, made everything even better. Would definitely stay here again!

Martha was incredibly polite and responsive from the beginning. Martha also recommended some lovely places to eat. I honestly didn’t realise how central the location was. We walked everywhere, about 15,000 steps a day and there was plentiful and good value restaurants and bars locally. Martha was extremely kind and accommodated us by letting us leave our things in the apartment on our last day as there were no new guests to check in and we had a late flight. There is construction immediately next to the apartment but this had very little impact. I would 100% recommend this location anf Martha for her kindness and attentiveness.

We loved it from the moment we walked in. It was exactly as it was described and my 15 year old daughter wanted to "stay forever" as soon as she saw it. Perfectly located and just plan fun inside and out. Christoph made it all easy, responded immediately, and made everything all around easy and fun. Highly recommend it.

Daniel is extremely friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble and very quick responses. We had a lovely stay and would highly recommend any of Daniel's private tours which are much more personal. if we return to Porto we would definitely stay here again.

This home is gorgeous and the location was incredible. Everything you want and need is right out the front door. The home has beautiful skyline views And water views. We loved staying at the property and were very happy a home of this caliber is shared with travelers.
