House holiday rentals in Ribeira de Pena

I spent a glorious month at Maria Celeste’s home. It was simply the best place to reset, connect with nature & rest. I’ve never been to a more peaceful home. Freshly squeezed orange juice (from trees) every morning. Lemons for water. A natural spring to swim off hiking grime. Mountains to climb surrounding the entire home. Lizard & butterfly friends. And so so quiet. Maria Celeste picked me up & drove me to the location. Taxi services available to go to town when needed. I can not recommend staying at this home more. If you need some R’n’R, stay. You won’t regret it.

A casa está renovada e muito confortável, gostávamos de ter percebido pela descrição que a zona exterior é longe da casa.

Schön eingerichtetes, sauberes Haus mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht. Die Lage ist äußerst ruhig sodass man das Gefühl hat das einzige Haus im Umkreis zu sein. Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt und der Pool groß genug zum Schwimmen. Die Kommunikation mit Carla gestaltet sich unkompliziert und freundlich, wir hatten jederzeit das Gefühl uns bei Problemen an sie wenden zu können. Wir haben jede Sekunde genossen und es gibt nicht das Geringste auszusetzen. Sollten wir uns wieder für Portugal entscheiden wird die Unterkunft und Carla wieder unsere erste Wahl sein.

The countless reviews say it all: this place and Murilo's hospitality are both exceptional. Best to check it out for yourself as my review won't do it justice. A few highlights: the kitchen is fully equipped, the space is family friendly, and the landscape is amazing. This is my favorite airbnb booking, and I travel a lot. Would recommend to friends and family any time! Thank you Murilo, you have an exceptional spot and truly are a superhost!

Hands down the best Airbnb we have stayed at! The setting was idyllic - every window looked out over vineyards and fields, the house was immaculate, - comfortable and well-equipped, and the pool was perfect. We are already planning to go back as there is still so much more to explore in the area. The hosts were so friendly and helpful, providing everything we needed for a seamless stay. I couldn’t recommend it more.

Wundervoller Aufenthalt über eine woche. Atemberaubendes Anwesen. Das dritte Jahr in Folge...

If you are looking for a chic countryside retreat this is for you! The place is very smartly designed — a beautiful combination of modernity with old rustic stonework. The layout makes great use of space and while I think it would be a bit cozy for 4 adults, for a family with 2 kids it should be perfect. There is an air conditioner too, but with the thick stone walls we barely needed to use it. There are walls that can separate the bedrooms from the rest of the apartment. These worked well — the only warning is that they are a little noisy to close so be careful if the group has people who are light sleepers and they will sleep earlier than the rest. Also: do NOT go by the G Maps location for the house! It is completely wrong. Once we got over that: it was a fabulous space to get away from it all!

This place is a dream! If you are coming to portugal this is the perfect little hideaway. Ana Maria made us feel right at home and everything was in perfect condition. We used to stay at Pena Park Hotel which is also great but now that we’ve found Ana Maria’s little heaven, we will look to return whenever we come back to visit my Avô again. Obrigada por tudo Ana! El sitio espectacular, todo genial. la piscina, la casa, sitio recomendable para volver, que seguro que lo hacemos. Ideal para niños, terreno enorme para jugar. La zona de la piscina increíble. La amabilidad de Ana increíble, te lo explica todo y te recomienda sitios donde ir, donde comer. Preocupada por nosotros en todo momento. Muy agradecidos con ella

Reservámos o espaço para passarmos a Passagem de Ano entre amigos, e levámos dois cães. A zona é lindíssima e a recepção foi maravilhosa. A Cristiana e a sua família trataram-nos super bem, e fizeram questão de nos deixar à vontade, tendo estado sempre disponíveis para ajudar com o que fosse necessário. Os dias estavam frios, mas deixaram nos imensa lenha o que permitiu que a casa estivesse sempre quentinha. Na véspera da passagem de ano foram deixar-nos mais vinho e um bolo acabado de fazer. A casa estava super limpa e tinha tudo o que era necessário. Ficámos com muita vontade de voltar, obrigada por tudo!

We had a lovely stay! :) We ended up staying a few days longer than planned (unexpectedly, due to a flat tyre – and no one nearby could replace it). The apartment is nice, clean, and cozy – for the price, it’s absolutely amazing. The house is semi-detached,doesn’t have a garden. Parking is on the roadside (the road isn’t in use, no a problem at all). The balcony has a wonderful view! The surrounding area is beautiful and perfect for walks. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t on our side – it rained heavily most of the time, so we didn’t get to explore as much as we’d have liked. The village of Cerva is charming and well-kept. It’s a great place for a quiet retreat in nature. The host is kind and helpful, and communication was quick and easy. One thing to mention: there is 5G in the house, which feels a bit unnecessary in such a natural setting – but it can be turned off via the main circuit breakers if you're sensitive to that. All in all, we definitely recommend this apartment! :)
