Excellent choice to escape the city routine! Accessible location, with parking and useful infrastructures about 20 minutes by car. Very beautiful and welcoming historic village, calm, surrounded by nature and peace. The house exceeded expectations, being better than in the photographs, besides that it was impeccable: clean, tidy and equipped with everything you need. The huge courtyard, the amazing jacuzzi, the bicycles, the hammock, the skylights, the air conditioning, the fire, the fireplace and the salamander were some of the cherries on the cake, but everything amazed us and made us feel right at home! Reception of companion animals also pleased us a lot. The hosts were impeccable: friendly, available, responsive, accessible and always ready to help or give suggestions on what to enjoy in the surroundings. Dona Paula is a very humble and caring person, who knows the history of the village and sharing it with a glow in her eyes. We hope to return one day!

Our stay at Luís's place was unbeatable. The place is very clean and tastefully decorated. It is not missing any detail and it is all as and how it is shown in the pictures. We enjoyed a lot of the pool and the good weather. Luís is a 10 host, very attentive, willing and friendly. We will definitely come back and do not hesitate to recommend it! Thank you very much for everything Luís.

The place is very nice, the house is very nice, comfortable, spacious. The kitchen is very well equipped. We were very comfortable. The only thing I could say is that it would be good to have shampoo and bath gel in the bathroom, even if it's just for the first day. But, we talked to the host and he solved the problem immediately and kindly, which is to be thanked. In short, we would not hesitate to return.

I loved the space. Super quiet, with a boat on the lake right next to the house that my kids loved. Mr. Francisco and his wife, Mrs. Helena, are very friendly, they make us feel very comfortable, we feel like family. The wine from the farm is wonderful. Take advantage of the stay to try it and stock up at home 😉 It was only 3 days, but wonderful. Congratulations on the super neat space and thank you for the genuine sympathy.

We needed a secluded enough place to work in peace and walk in the countryside. It was perfect for us. It is a rural area, with many forest paths, and marked trails around Ribeira or Boticas. A big thank you to Jean's uncle and aunt, who were lovely.

Excellent stay for several in family with children. The area is beautiful and well maintained, the swimming pools are pleasant to cool down during heat waves. The hospitality is perfect; the price in season can be scary initially but the house, the estate and the kindness of the employees justify it. We'll be happy to go back! Thank you Ines (and Angela)

Beautiful house by the lake, in a very peaceful village. Had a wonderful stay with my girlfriend and we couldn't be happier!

This place ought to be officially recognized as a national treasure! The house and grounds are full of historic charm and the scenery is spectacular. The farm fresh breakfast was truly impressive and the hospitality was top notch. We stayed for two nights but would have been very happy to have stayed for an entire week if our schedule had allowed for it. Many thanks to the owners for creating such a wonderful guest house and for the warm welcome and great sightseeing tips. It was the highlight of our trip from Canada.

It is a WONDERFUL house. A large garden with greenery, spacious rooms and everything you need. It doesn't feel like going out! The area is beautiful, with lots of vegetation and beautiful rivers, and relatively close to Guimarães and Braga. We loved it.

A beautiful, old house, lovingly restored and very comfortable for our week's stay. It's very spacious, quiet and the patio is lovely to sit out in. We enjoyed exploring the area and loved swimming in the rivers.

Just fabulous. A beautiful location, perched on a hillside overlooking a rural Portuguese valley. Lovely house. Ingenious heating system, and lovely, friendly owners! We will be coming back next year and I’m hoping David’s house is still available.

Well-equipped home with everything you need for a great family vacation. Excellent location, in a beautiful area of Portugal. Sonia is flexible, attentive, and always reacts quickly. We spent a wonderful few days, making the most of the large garden and the refreshing swimming pool. Recommend!

Very nice and cozy space. A perfect place for those looking to rest from the daily grind. The Serra da Cabreira as a backdrop and the sound of nature add the touch for perfect relaxation. We loved the pool, and despite the rain forecast, we were lucky to always have good weather. Raquel and Miguel were great hosts, who made us feel comfortable for any questions and we also thank you for the tips that were given.

A wonderful stay, a beautiful and very relaxing villa. We arrived early and were able to advance the schedule to collect the keys . They are really hosts who are very attentive to our needs and accommodating . We had a great time and met hosts as they are rare . Thanks again for the stay

The house is simply spectacular 😍 We were in a group (5 couples and 5 children) and the house was quite spacious and functional, a kitchen full of all that was needed and more. The outdoor spaces were fantastic for children and for adults. We all felt sorry we had to finish this year in the best way. A Carminho and D. Fernanda have always been very attentive and always available to help. One of the best ever experiences we hope to repeat. The area is simply wonderful with the possibility of fantastic walking tours.

Host was excellent to communicate with . Views were spectacular and the garden and surroundings were very tranquil . An abundance of fruit to pick from the orchard and the Pool was clean and maintained. A great place which is so pet friendly. The only downside is the barking of dogs around the property which at night may disturb the light sleeper . Overall a superb place to stay .

Carla is the ultimate host. This is our second year in a row we have stayed at one of her properties and will not be the last. Her attention to detail is extraordinary as are her properties. Beautifully done. Peaceful location. Great pool. Highly recommended!
