“I stayed here 2 nights with my friend and three dogs, we really enjoyed it! The cabin is super cute & cozy inside and outside has a big deck for relaxing, outdoor shower and firepit. The kitchen is stocked up with basics that make cooking and prepping meals super easy. Lots of windows and screened doors kept it pretty breezy and cool temperatures plus they provide some battery-powered fans. We had planned to spend part of a day tubing but our hosts said the water was too low. So we decided to just hang around the camp and ended up putting our floats in between their two swimming holes and hung out on case rock- it worked out and we had a great time regardless. Great mornings drinking coffee and reading & laying on the hot rocks next to the cool river! The river water was about 2.5 ft deep when we were there. Flows quick in some parts- hard to cross to the other bank. My friend slept in the bedroom which was pretty big room and comfortable full bed. I opted to sleep in the loft (instead of on the futon in the main room) it was a little tricky getting up and down into the loft but the bed was comfortable and I was happy there was a window. I was a little concerned about needing to give them the hour of my arrival- that is not how my road trips usually work- but they were okay with me checking in as my day progressed and tightening up the window. Glenn took us out in the ORV- its about 5-10 min ride through kinda rough terrain to get to the cabin- we just made due with whatever we forgot in the car because we did not want to walk back and forth. Overall it was a great combination of rustic camping and cozy cabin.”
My house is the first house on the cul de sac street (breane dr). It is a corner lot. There are porch stairs to climb to enter through the front. Inside features 2,300 sq ft of living space.
Hand built cabin nestled in the trees over bluffs leading to majestic creek, waterfalls and a private swimming hole within an hour of Birmingham and two hours from Atlanta. Spring fed plumbing and dozens of acres of rugged terrain. Though this is called a bed and breakfast we don’t serve breakfast unless requested since most people tend to sleep in when they come here.
“We traveled from out of state to visit with my boyfriend's family in Alabama. Not only were we able to experience this wonderful property, but Tome had no problem with us inviting his family along too. We all got the chance to hike the area, play in his beautiful swimming hole, and enjoy the river that it led to. When we got to the river we all looked at the HUGE bluffs and all had a genuine 'WTF' moment. It's like the more we explored the area the better it got. It is most definitely a hike to get to these spots but I have never experienced such a gorgeous place that feels like yours and yours alone for the stay. Tome was so helpful with any questions or concerns we had and is an absolute gem of a human. Can't wait for next time!”
