great place for a family getaway, there were 11 of us so the games room and hot tub were prefect. close enough to Barnard castle to go out for dinner, beautiful surroundings, what's not to like

We had such a relaxing time with our family at Lee's property. The kids had such a great time in the pool, it was really enjoyed by all!

Russell and Clare are great hosts who have created comfortable, well-appointed accommodation which is warm and cosy in winter and I imagine light and airy in summer. The beds were lush. The shower is great - powerful and consistent temperature. Eppleby is peaceful with walks from the cottage, a local shop & tea room - very friendly - and pub. It's a great location for exploring Richmondshire and Co. Durham. We had a relaxing short break at The Old Milk House and hope to return.

Myself, 9 others and 1 small dog booked on of Sue's fantastic cottages for a reunion weekend. Sue was very easy to communicate with, gave us the guidebook ahead of time virtually for any queries (we were very interested in the pizza oven and games room) Facilties were excellent, we were lucky that no other cottages on the site (only 3 others) were in use during our stay, so had free roam of the site and facilties. The local recommendations were brilliant. We went to the old black bull down the road for dinner on the first night and then again for roast dinner on Sunday - mega The house itself is just as shown in the photos, more than comfortable to sleep and house 10 of us for the weekend. Special mention to the hottub, (which is private for your house and I believe comes with all houses) and to Paul who was more than helpful coming to our rescue and reviving out pizza night when we experienced some issues with the oven. 10/10 would go again.

A gorgeous weekend at the Hobbit House for our 10th wedding anniversary. From our arrival until we (sadly) departed, both Michael and Barbara were so attentive, accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. Michael gave us a fab tour around the hobbit house pointing out everything we needed to know and then took us over to see the pool, ‘The Hut’ and around the stunning gardens. It's such a beautiful setting. Barabara kindly gave us a couple of mini Proseccos for our anniversary celebrations, such a lovely lady. The attention to detail in the house was 10/10 amazing. The building itself is super modern, from the smartplugs next to the bed and on the floor in between the lazy chairs, to the integrated blinds in all windows (including the sky light) and underfloor heating. The outside living roof beautifully blends in with the environment. They’ve literally thought of everything here. The decor was beautiful and cupboards generously stocked. We didn’t want to leave. It's a great house, perfect for large groups. Plenty of quality spaces to gather together in or to spend some quiet time. The pool was great - larger than expected - but it was the grounds that surpassed all expectations. They're extensive and well- maintained with wonderful views.

Excellent stay in every way. Very nice and helpful host as well as a clean and beautiful home. Would stay again upon our return hopefully.

Beautiful spotless and comfy cottage in a great location in the centre of Hawes. Stuart and Jo are friendly and helpful hosts who clearly care that their guests enjoy their holiday. The local information pack was brilliant and the cottage has been meticulously renovated and kitted out with an outstanding attention to detail and with their guests in mind. Would definitely recommend.

Wow what a location and property! We were so excited to arrive and were overjoyed when our high expectations were exceeded! This really is a spot of magic, the views, scenery and local walks are unbeatable and the cottage is truly beautiful inside, with everything you would need for a luxury relaxing stay. We have already talked of when to return. Sunrises from the back garden were spectacular.

A lovely place to stay, Amanda was friendly & helpful and left a great welcome hamper including a bottle of Prosecco. Beautiful garden to sit in and lake walks on the door step. The property itself is immaculate and has everything you would ever need. 😊

This Airbnb is wonderful and we would definitely stay again. The location is perfect - within close walking distance to the pubs and restaurants of downtown Sedbergh, yet in a quiet, peaceful spot on the edge of town right on a great walking path. It's also a good location in the sense that it's close enough to the Lake District to use as a base for exploring that area, as well as being in the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. The house is clean, well-equipped, and the photos are accurate. It's a very nice place with no real negatives to mention.

I wish we could have stayed here longer. Such a beautiful house and the surrounding area was gorgeous. Really peaceful, nice to see the racehorses in the morning riding past. Really cosy living room and great to have an updated tv to stream on. The only thing we missed was coffee for our morning brew but luckily the shop down the road is open early and it’s nice to explore on foot. We did have some nice treats waiting for us too! Great shower, good nights sleep, couldn’t really ask for anything more. Thanks Becky and Jonathan for having us!

A delightful house which is full of character with thick old walls and beams on the ceilings. Spotlessly clean, nicely furnished, very comfortable beds and sofas. Extras provided such as a rechargeable torch so that you can walk back from the village in the dark. Ian gave helpful local information and was quick to respond to queries. Will definitely go back again.

Lovely house, Well kept. Walkable distance to Barnard Castle to restaurant and pubs and we stayed for a Wedding at Runa Farm which is 2minutes along the road. Easy check up and got an early check in.

Lovely cottage for family of four and two labradors. Great location for walking in beautiful scenery. Michael and Fiona were excellent hosts. Not a single negative. Thanks very much

A great base for exploring the Dales and the Eastern Lake District. I did 2 wonderful sunny spring hillwalks from the doorstep and a further 3 within 40 mins by car. The cottage is exceedingly comfortable and a great blend of traditional decor and modern facilities, with highlights being the super comfortable bed, excellent new shower room and small but very well equipped kitchen. Thanks to Alexandra for the prompt response and short-notice booking, helpful instructions and extremely tasty cake, tea and coffee provided on arrival!

We had a lovely stay. It's the perfect location for walking into town, but being in a nice peaceful location. Barnard Castle is lovely with some really nice cafés and shops. Bertie enjoyed his stay, especially the park next door and lots of lovely walks in the area. The welcome hamper was a lovely treat! Thankyou!

Well, what can we say? We have simply had the most amazing stay for the past 5 nights at Victorias place. We really didn’t want to leave. If you enjoy long walks (from the doorstep), stunning scenery, peace and tranquility, then this is the place for you. Victoria and Ian are superb friendly hosts, and full of useful local information. The bonus to the stay was meeting Freddie💙 Our pooch Alfie loved him and it was a sheer joy watching them play rough and tumble together. The accomodation is first class too, lovely and airy with each window having a fabulous view. We will most certainly be returning.
