We had such a wonderful stay at The Byre! The cottage was absolutely beautiful, peaceful, and perfectly equipped — the hosts had truly thought of everything. It was also incredibly dog friendly. Our dog was made to feel so welcome with a thoughtful basket of essentials, and we really appreciated the lovely welcome tray waiting for us too. Thank you for such a relaxing and memorable stay — we’ll definitely be returning soon!

We used Forge Cottage recently as a base for a girls trip and it was the perfect spot! It's exactly as it looks on the pictures - modern yet comfortable. We loved using the log burner and the hot tub particularly and the hosts had left us with enough fire starters and logs to get both going. The kitchen is well stocked with lots of lots of equipment and there's also plenty of storage for your own food too. The beds & pillows were all really comfy and it super king in the main bedroom felt particularly luxurious. The whole place was spotlessly clean, with dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid and detergent provided. We felt at home right away and would love to come back again!

Firstly wow! The area in which this little cottage is set is beautiful, tranquil and private and has an enclosed garden for mine and my sister’s dogs. The welcome hamper was the best we’ve ever had with so many goodies in! Lots of local dog walks around the area and hotel grounds and we even found a waterfall after a heavy rainfall which was a lovely surprise. The cottage was clean and all beds made up, towels were provided too. Log fire and wood fired pizza oven and hot tub were so welcome on a foggy day when we were unable to travel. Wi-Fi was a bit hit and miss but not a real problem. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Only negative was only 2 windows open. We loved the fact we were surrounded by nature and birdsong and would have loved to have the windows open to make the most of this. Wouldn’t put us off going again as there are so many other areas we didn’t get to explore around there.

What a beautiful place- a home from home! We absolutely loved our stay! It was perfect for 4 couples, each having own bedroom and en-suite. The kitchen/dining/sitting area was comfortable and open plan meant everyone was able to be together even when someone was cooking. The large dining table was great for eating together and for playing board games/cards. The hot tub was great and the outside areas with fire pit were comfortable with outside seating, cushions and blankets. The surrounding area is so quiet. We all slept so well because the beds were so comfortable. The kitchen had everything you needed. Caroline was a fantastic host- and anything you needed was sorted quickly and easily. Caroline was brilliant with communication from start to finish! We booked a private chef recommended by Caroline. Lisa was amazing and her food absolutely delicious. Lisa was like stealth- there when she needed to be and almost invisible when dining. Highly recommend booking here!

What an amazing place! Exceeded my expectations! The hot tub is huge, the whole lodge is so clean and everything you need is provided. We had a beautiful BBQ and sat out on the large outdoor dining table. It was honestly a beautiful place to stay and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, luxurious break. I could not fault it!

THIS PLACE IS AN ABSOLUTE MUST!!! The place is absolutely beautiful. very peaceful. beautiful to watch the sun set, and to listen to the animals and the bird. Your so intouch with nature but then so close to the beaches too. was absolutely perfect. We didn't want to leave. they have absolutely everything you need! The host are so welcoming. You feel very safe there as the outside has CCTV. Absolutely perfect place for a weekend away. They are also so welcoming to dogs. providing a basket for all the things your fur babies may need. They also gift you a natural juice that was absolutely beautiful and a slice of cake. the didn't miss a detail! thank you so much guys. we can't wait to come back!! 😊

Great stay for a few days at Sarah's lovely house. Centrally located in Staithes and has everything you need for a comforable stay. Communication with Sarah was great and she organised parking for us also. Would highly recommend staying if you are visiting Staithes.

Lovely little village and property hosted by Neil and Jane who were very accommodating and kind and helpful. The fisherman’s cottage was just what we needed and a good base for travel in the area.

The house had everything we needed for our stay. It was pretty much home from home. For nearby attractions it was conveniently located. There is a pub about 5 mins walk, a small village called Boosbeck with a couple of shops and pub about 30 mins walk away, Whitby was half hour drive, as was Middlesbrough for a cinema, a beautiful country park called Danby with great activities for kids was about 15/20 mins away & York was an hour & a half. People were friendly especially at The Charltons. Would stay here again.

We had a lovely stay in Staithes with our dog – the place was spotless and in the perfect location, just a short walk to the beach/harbour, and local pubs. Keeley was a great host and very responsive. Would recommend!

Lovely cottage...felt very homely and great little touches like the tea tray and the dog basket.

Perfection. Everything you want in a home from home - I only wish my home was as beautifully decorated as this cottage ! Everything considered and bought specifically for the place - lovely coffee cups - it makes all the difference to have a nice drink from a nice cup ! I slept better in this bed than I have since I was a teenager! loo is downstairs for those who may need a loo nearer - but thats the only thing I could imagine anyone finding a problem in this delightful home !!!! I will be back on my next time up home x

Eva’s cottage is a wonderful space, with everything that’s needed for an enjoyable stay. It’s in an excellent location in Staithes - very close to the harbour and main street where all the shops, galleries, museum and pubs etc. are. Bonus parking permit was really appreciated. We would definitely stay again. Highly recommended.

Broome Cottage is fabulous - inside was modern and tastefully decorated, and very clean, with everything you could possibly need, the owners really have thought of everything! Lots of special touches, including the fizz and treats, lovely! But what stood out for us was the private garden, we were lucky enough to have hot and sunny weather and we made good use of it, a real sun trap. The cottage is in a great spot, just a short walk from Glen Vale car park, which I can highly recommend, and also close to everything there is to see and do in Staithes. Rachel was in touch on the run up to our stay and provided clear instruction on how to get there and get in, everything went super smoothly. She also provided lots of other useful information and recommendations. We ate at the George Hotel, had pizza takeaway from the Cobbles, snacks at Dotties Tea Room and drinks outside the Cod & Lobster. All superb. Staithes is a little gem and so is Broome Cottage. Hope to be back soon.

Cliff Cottage is a cosy cottage in a great location . A two minute walk and you are on the beach . Good bars and eateries are close by. Darren is a great host and thoughtful touches such as a milk in fridge, bottle of bubbly etc shows he wants your stay to be as pleasant as possible. Archie our dog loved his bag of treats too! We will definitely be booking again as Marske and the cottage is a perfect spot for a relaxing break

A lovely family cottage, in beautiful settings. We took the advise of our host, and walked up Roseberry hill. Well worth the trek. The cottage had everything we needed for our stay and Paul was close by if we needed anything.

Genuinely really happy with this place, it was really beautifully done out, very homely but fresh. Felt like a nice home to spend a few days in. Was very cosy on what turned out to be a blustery weekend. Location is great, very close to the beach (but just off it so it was quite sheltered). The basic provisions in the kitchen were more than minimal, this really does help, and the kitchen was very practical and good quality.

Lovely place, dog friendly. I think 10Am check out is too early though and most places do it. Just means I had to rush out.

The stay at this charming cottage exceeded our expectations in every way. The cottage itself was cozy and well-appointed, with comfortable furnishings and all the amenities we needed. Just a minutes stroll to the beach, this cottage is a gem. Full of character and beautifully decorated, it is very well equipped with lots of extras such as books of the area and puzzles to entertain. We were lucky to enjoy fabulous weather but you would be comfortable in this cottage whatever the weather or season.

Absolutely beautiful place very easy to find with parking to unload and reload car right outside. Parking is free outside with a disabled badge for your whole stay. Caroline was super helpful and responded quickly. Thank you so much for sharing your property so people get to experience Staithes a little hidden gem.
