The house where the farmer used to live with his family has been converted into a comfortable apartment with a spacious living room and open kitchen downstairs, overlooking the meadows and the terpkerk of Wanswert. The apartment is in personal style and fully furnished. Where possible, we used second chance furniture. Together with the piano and comfortable wood stove, a nice living climate is created. The apartment has a cozy private garden all around, a private front door and lots of privacy.

The house offers the possibility to rest, enjoy the Dokkumer Ee and the beautiful ships that pass by, bird watching, cycling. Within 20 minutes of driving you will get to Leeuwarden or Dokkum both interesting. There is also a 2 persons canoe and two sup boards that can be used free of charge.

Guesthouse "De Serre"

In beautiful Friesland, this beautiful house with great views is located. The Serre is a holiday home behind our house with a nice bright room which borders the large garden. In this garden also stay our dog, the goats (behind a fence) and the chickens and free-range ducks. Great nature reserves in this region invite you to hike and cycle. In addition, Leeuwarden and Dokkum are cozy cities nearby. The train station is a 10-minute walk from the house.

Within 10 minutes, you can be in Dokkum, and within half an hour, you can be in Leeuwarden or Drachten. You can park for free at the forest, right next to the cottage. You have a private entrance and the Woodpecker has two spacious bedrooms, both with a private shower and toilet. The kitchen is equipped with all the basic comforts.
