Holiday rentals with a pool in Rarotonga

Great home for a family get together; three really good bathrooms was super helpful as three couples (including the bride) prepared for the wedding. Very relaxing around the pool too.

Ake Ake House was the perfect holiday escape! The property is a brand new build, and you can really tell—everything feels fresh, modern, and beautifully maintained. The layout of the home is so well thought out, making it super comfortable and easy to relax in. It had everything we could possibly need for our stay, from a fully equipped kitchen to thoughtful touches throughout. The pool was absolutely stunning—a true highlight—and we spent a lot of time enjoying it. Honestly, the photos don’t do the place justice. It’s even more beautiful in person. We had an incredible time and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Ake Ake House to anyone heading to Rarotonga. Can’t wait to come back!

Great place to stay, great to have a pool on those scorcher days, little one absolutely loved it. Beware if you are a bit of a late sleeper or enjoy your sleep, chickens on the island dont really make that possible, otherwise was a great location for us, very clean and neat. My only issue was with a little one the wasps were a bit of a nuisance, they are all over the island but we seemed to get quite a few roaming into the house, after 3 they dissapeared so it was great to enjoy the outside space at that point. I would recommend this place to any family wanting to unwind and enjoy some Raro outdoors, undercover area was perfect for those rainy afternoons. Thanks again Demond and Tracy, you guys made this experience easy and seemless foe our first trip to Raro, thanks for the use of the car this was an absolute lifesaver for us. Truly great hosts.

We were looking for a beach front spot for my boys to snorkel the lagoon and to enjoy the sun and warmth of the island. This spot was incredible. We walked up and down the Muri beach and IMO this spot has THE BEST beach front set up. Every morning I would drink my tea at sunrise under the palm trees on the beach with warm breeze. I loved sitting in the loungers for hours either in the palm trees shade or in the sun on the beach. We snorkeled and paddle boarded a ton. Adam and Sarah took great care of us while we were there with taxis and suggested things to do. The house had plenty of space and the landscaping was beautiful. Even though there was no air conditioning, the breeze off the ocean and ceiling fans kept us cool and comfortable. The only downside, which would absolutely not keep me from coming back here again, was a strong musty odor whenever you opened the kitchen cabinets. I imagine with the humidity it’s hard to keep enclosed spaces free of mold. Still highly recommend.

Dear Leilani and Vai, Thank you both so much for a truly wonderful stay at your beautiful home in Rarotonga. Having visited the island more than 20 times over the years, we can honestly say your property has been one of our absolute favourites. The home is incredibly spacious, immaculately clean and tidy, and perfectly set up for a relaxing stay. We especially loved the pool area – the covered spaces on both sides of the living area made it easy to enjoy the outdoors at any time of day, rain or shine. Vai, thank you for the outstanding job keeping everything in such pristine condition – it really made a difference and did not go unnoticed. For future guests, we’d highly recommend Vianna’s for a casual bar experience, Nautilus for finer dining and delicious small plates, and the Bond Store for the best value alcohol outside of duty free. If the weather plays along, a jet ski tour with TVK watersports is also an exciting way to experience the island from a different perspective.

Lovely older villa in a picturesque location right on Muri lagoon. The onsite managers, Jo and Mike were lovely and Mike even helped us with a last minute tyre change on our rental van when we were on our way to the airport. With the recent dengue outbreak and a baby in our party we were mindful of mosquitoes. We appreciated the nets over the beds and access to coils etc as we did see quite a few mossies as there are quite a few gaps where they can access the house. The villa is lovely and roomy with multiple inside and outside areas to sit and relax. It is great having the pool on the non ocean side protected from the SE wind.
